that post isn't written well at all but i just feel so disheartened by people rushing to contextualize the present horrors as a future historical moment. like you already want to move past it.
it doesn't matter now but it will matter to someone, some day.
what a horrible, unempathetic way to view the world. to attempt to remove yourself from the moment and decide we should all act as unfeeling, objective witnesses to things we should be working to prevent.
nene: youre so fucking loud i hope rui makes you get shot out of the canon again and you break your neck in front of the entire audience and they all laugh at you honestly just shut the fuck up you zesty crusty son of a bitch youre not special
Guys I’m watching the new season of glow up on Netflix and the third episode is about BBC GHOSTS, they go to West Horsley Place and they recreate the plague ghosts!!
I think the ToTheArk video that gets to me the most emotionally wise is Quadrant. Because as much as Null is a goodbye and Isolation speaks the most to Hoody’s emotional state, Quadrant just seems so desperate to me.
Hoody!Brian knows Alex has escaped. He knows Alex is armed and dangerous and that Tim and Jay are right in the danger zone. He knows and he can’t seem to kill Alex himself but doesn’t want them to die either. “Hold formation. Do not do this. Stay put. Everyone is going to-…” He really tries to warn Jay and Tim off from going in head first. He tries to tell them to hold off. It doesn’t work but he tries.
We don’t know why he can’t but he says, “I cannot help.” In the code. His hands are tied.
Three blind mice plays in the background. Hoody asks, “Am I the third?” Unsure if he’s just as blind as everyone else. Hoody, the guy who is always two steps ahead of everyone else, is unsure.
But part that gets me the most? “He didn’t know how to leave.” We don’t know if it’s talking about Jay, unable to let go of the investigation and eventually getting himself killed, or Hoody himself, unable to stop interfering like he does when something goes wrong but is unable to help like he wants to.
Quadrant is the last ditch effort attempt in trying to stop what’s already in motion. The realization that his own actions might get everyone killed.
And when Jay dies? We get Null. Acceptance that everything is doomed. Ark Awaits.
