Want to hear an embarrassing story that has suddenly popped into my head to drive me mad today?

So I was working in this office where about 8 of us shared this little mini fridge for our lunches. That morning, I grabbed what I thought was last night’s leftovers, which I had packed away in these cute little Halloween themed containers that we got in the regular chain grocery store in October. (note, this story takes place in about February). I put it in the fridge, and then go back at lunch time and heat it up.

I get back to my office and open the container and it… is not last night’s leftovers. I’m not entirely certain what is in this container, but I do know that I didn’t cook it anytime recently. So, thoroughly disgusted and promising to clean out my refrigerator at home later, I toss it in the trash and go buy lunch.

A few weeks later, I’m sitting in the little break room where the fridge is, and someone pulls out this little Halloween themed container out of the fridge, and says “This has been in here for a long time. I’m just going to toss it.” I immediately recognize the container and realize it’s my leftovers that I did, in fact, bring a few weeks back. It turns out that I was not the only person in the office who uses Halloween themed containers in February.

So, that’s the story of the time I accidentally stole and threw away someone else’s lunch.

if i had a nickel for every time a creator told me that their teenage character who

grew up in a bad environment with a complicated relationship with his father,

was a bully, made mistakes,

was chosen by a great evil that wanted him to do bad things,

was afraid, wanted out but thought he didn't have anyone to turn to,

with his actions saved the heroes from certain death and showed he could have changed if given the chance,

was weak/not brave and someone who didn't deserve a full redemption, i'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

Remember in 2020 when people were learning about how capitalism was evil and to support small stores but also don't expect small stores to be cheep bc its more expensive to be ethical (which isn't wrong btw) but instead of doing what it meant to do (drive profits away from big business and to smaller creators) it just reinvented classism by having people flaunt their expensive handmade items and eveyone got mad at poor people for still buying fast fashion untill people started making video essays saying "hey poor people don't have money to shop small for everything it's more complicated guys"

both aromanticism and asexuality are identities and labels that i feel could apply to me to some degree, but i struggle to wrap my head around what it means. i think it's just the autism talking, but both identities feel like they're dependent on the opposite end of the spectrum if that makes sense? like. you're asexual because you're not allosexual. and the reverse applies as well, obviously, but we live in a society where it's just assumed everybody is allosexual. the problem is, i have no idea what being allosexual is supposed to feel like. i don't know what sexual or romantic attraction feels like to most people. so i can never fully grasp the aro or ace labels, because i don't know what that identity feels like. maybe i'm on the aro spectrum, or maybe this is how romantic attraction feels to everybody else. maybe i'm on the ace spectrum, or maybe this is how everybody else experiences sexual attraction. i can never figure it out.
