I wanna read about a first year mentor who’s still halfway mentally in their own games and is now responsible for their old neighbor’s kid

I wanna read about those first seeds of rebellion, when a few mentors and a few game makers and a few people in the district 13 started a chain of whispered plans

And yeah, I wanna read about Finnick and Haymitch because I love them and I want an even deeper dive into their lives and psyches

something I love about tbosas is how stupid the original concept of the hunger games (and, by extension, the Capitol) is! like they were so obsessed with oppressing the districts that they never stopped to think that maybe kidnapping children and forcing them into a gladiatorial death match every year would eventually backfire on them! and barely anyone even watched the first nine years! that’s almost a decade where someone could have stepped in and said hey this is maybe not the wisest thing to do but no they all just kept building their mansions and buying their wigs and assumed nothing bad would ever happen! like babe the districts just rebelled because you were oppressing them so your solution is to make them hate you even more?!
