throw back to today freshman year when i missed my bus because my bus driver drove off obviously w/o me but while i was literally three feet from the open door and no one in my family was answering the phone so, once again, best friend ashleys mom drove me to school

actually yeah let’s elaborate on that !

BEE has ... a lot of tattoos, & since she often manifests from them, they serve three main purposes ;

for protection. these are mainly knives, & large animals ( for example a large wolf on her thigh ). they make her feel safe. protection at the tips of her fingers.

as emotional / psychological support. birds in flight to help her feel less anxious, sheep to count to help her sleep, animals to cuddle cause who doesn’t love that?

to show off. though she often manifests from her voice to show off, she has a few objects ( a deck of cards, small geometric shapes, etc ), along with small animals she uses to show off ( mostly to small children ). sometimes she pretends she’s a magician, its fun to her.

of course she has a few random tattoos as well, some plants, quotes, random shapes and meaningless cute artwork. she treasures each piece, even those she does not use come from a like, desire, or quirk about herself or the people she loves.

I know I keep saying it like every few months because the realisation keeps hitting me at random times but...

I love Pacific Rim.

I love Pacific Rim because no movie before this one has been able to make me so at ease before. Like, no matter what kind of emotion has been plaguing me, I can just put on Pacific Rim and it will always feel safe.

And it’s just... This movie is so hopeful? It’s a movie about people coming together, all kinds of people, and they make sacrifices but in the end they win, they win together.

“To fight monsters, we create monsters.” This is the movie that taught me to stop building walls around myself but instead to build myself monstruous enough to survive and basically I derived my motto from this movie because fuck what everyone thinks I do what I have to do to stay alive.

And it’s also such a pretty movie, full of colors and with great music and an interesting universe and it just means a lot to me.
