a napoleon spider (Synema globosum) sharing a flower with a spotted chafer (Oxythyrea funesta) might seem like an unlikely pair, but i've never seen one of these spiders even attempt to catch a beetle despite both species being very common. they must prefer lighter prey

Misumenoides formosipes of the family Thomisidae! This ambush hunter prefers to keep himself concealed while attacking his prey. His long purplish legs also remind me of Meta Knight. Females of this species are often a solid bright yellow.
