Okay actually, here are the only Bleach romance dynamics that matter

Urahara/Yoruichi except it’s strictly a friends with benefits situation while Yoruichi and Soi Fon are Divorced(TM) and Yoruichi and Soi Fon would go back to each other in a heartbeat if they actually Discussed Feelings

Grimmichi + Ichihime but specifically in a “Ah yes, me, my husband, and my husband’s six foot tall Hollow archenemy” type of way

Queerplatonic Ichiruki and queerplatonic Renruki. Rukia has two hands but neither of them are for romance, they’re for holding onto Ichigo and Renji’s backpack leashes

Yumichika/Ikkaku but specifically Yumichika is a homophobic gay and Ikkaku is convinced they’re just “guys being dudes”

Harribel/Nel but Harribel’s lesbian harem (Mila Rose, Sung Sung, and Appachi) are deeply in love with Harribel and pine after her in increasingly wet and pathetic ways

Aizen/Urahara but Aizen is just pissed he’s in love with Urahara and Urahara is completely oblivious while Yoruichi is eating popcorn

Renji/Uryu wherein they started making out when they were left alone one time and have no idea why and will never tell anyone

Orihime/Tatsuki wherein they were together the whole series and everything was resolved much quicker with Tatsuki around because she actually has a brain

Gin/Rangiku and everything is exactly the same as in canon except Rangiku was given the opportunity to punch him at least once

Basically romance in Bleach only works if it, and everyone involved, is supremely stupid

It’s time I pollute Tumblr with my GrimmNel content. I will not apologize for it. But here’s some other stuff before I go on to do that.

I would also like to add that I post loads of Bleach stories involving Grimmjow & the bleach cast on my Instagram. I just forget to post here.

This series of edits were piggybacking of maid edits I did a while back. Nel’s edit was made to look better and Grimmjow was redone. Halibel’s edit was also improved. Ulquiorra is completely new to the lineup since I also adore him.

I low key hate Grimmjow in the redone version because he looks a little goofy to me. But the editing quality is better this time around, in my opinion.

Shinji:

If he was hysterical when Hiyori was injured during the Karakura battle, I imagine he'd be twice as desperate if his partner was hurt. He'd try to calm you down, order you not to talk, move or do anything that may worsen your state.

As your mind fades away with death all you can hear is him screaming at you that you need to stay awake. But you couldn't, you bleed out there in his arms, and Shinji couldn't believe he wasn't able to protect you. After a few seconds of holding your body, he'd go rampage. Whatever it killed you is twice as dead.

Harribel:

There's no gain without sacrifice. That was an undeniable fact that has always silently haunted her mind. Yet, holding your cold face, she wonders if you needed to die for her to understand kindness. If you needed to suffer for her to know love.

Harribel clenches her jaw as she accepts that this should have never happened. Her hand goes to her sword, and the last thing she says to your long-gone presence is that she'll avenge your death.

Lisa:

One second you were fighting beside her, and the other you were gone. Lisa eliminated the enemy before jumping to you. Things happened so fast that they barely registered. You were deeply injured.

"it's okay," you told her, "I'll be fine," you said, perhaps in shock or denial.

You wouldn't be. Half of your body wasn't there anymore. You two were alone. Inoue Orihime was a world away, and time would not stretch enough to bring her.

"Yeah," she reassured, holding back the tremble in her voice. "You'll be fine. We'll read to each other tomorrow."

"Yeah… I th-think I'll rest-."

She held you closer as you coughed blood. "I'll be here when you wake up."

Grimmjow:

He jumped at your side as soon as the blood scent hit his nose. Uneasiness took over his body when he saw you laying on the sand, torn in two halves as a menos devoured one of your remaining parts.

He's shocked by the split second that took the image to click in his head. Grimmjow unsheathed his sword straightaway, seeing nothing more than red.

The screams of the menos echoed through Hueco Mundo, only drowned by the howl of a mad rage jaguar, dissolving into the depths of the desert.
