Hi, you are more than welcome to ignore especially if you have answered before and I missed it/it's elsewhere on your blog but can I please just ask how you get your CAS photos to look so incredibly clean? Especially around the edges, they're so smooth it's incredible. Thank you in advance, I really appreciate it! You inspire me so much tbh, everything you post is so beautiful. (Also also also the eyebags you released recently are my new gold standard and I use them for everything now tysm for sharing them) 🖤

ok so here are a few tips, you don’t need to follow all of them, but if you like exactly my cas style, maybe some of them will help

1. edge smoothing. sorry for being obvious, but use either in-game anti-aliasing, or a smaa shader if you’re a reshade/gshade user, or you’ll get a pixelated staircase for the edges that will be hard to fix. if your PC doesn’t handle high graphics well and you play without edge smoothing, you can toggle it on temporarily just for taking a few good cas pictures and then turn it back off.

2. use MXAO. if you use reshades, use mxao shader for pictures, it's really a life changer. though i don't use it during the regular gameplay and only turn it on when i take pictures, because moving a lot with it is a visual overload for me.

3. but don’t overdo it with MXAO. seriously, don’t go all out with mxao. for a cleaner look shadows need to be delicate, just to overline shapes and give your sim more dimension. every time i tweaked my reshade presets, i made mxao even more thin and gentle and realized that it only got better.

4. background makes a huge difference. solid colors. in my personal opinion, grey gives the "cleanest" look (i said while still using my old dirty yellowish that i'm too lazy to find a replacement for). also, if i want to use black or white background, i make it a little darker than white and a little lighter than black, they look pretty much the same but will attack your eyes less (especially the white one).

5. CAS lighting makes a huge difference. maxis light isn't that bad, but cc lighting definitely give you more clean, crisp image. my personal favorite neutral one that i use by default is v2 by helgatisha. sometimes i use lightings with side highlights for more “rendered” look, but they aren’t always comfortable for everyday use and i only use them for specific pictures and then get back to my default neutral one.

6. shadow overlays. i mean cc that imitates shadows on sim's face, it gives sim's face so much dimension. there are spotlight v1 and v2 by simandy and lighting overlay v1 and v2 by joshseoh. i'd say josh's overlays are for fancy portrait pictures (they imitate a very strong light source from different angles, cool for sim photographers), and simandy's are more neutral. personally, i only use v2 by simandy, it's my holy grail and i don't take sim's pictures without it.

7. SRWE. it's a program that emulates having a bigger display resolution than your monitor can afford, meaning much better screenshot quality and cleanliness for small details. srwe can be a bit of a hassle to use for a lot of pics and most of the time i’m too lazy to use it and just take my regular small pixelated screenshots, but sometimes i want just one, but extra clean picture.

8. Topaz Clean 3 (photoshop). i don't usually edit my pictures and just drop them like whatever, mostly because i can't, but i make them sharper and cleaner with a gentle touch of topaz on very low strength.

Well I think that since it wasn’t a dedicated blog it might have been a bit confusing, so here this blog is! I think redoing that tournament would be fun, as well as doing some other ideas I’ve been having (best arcana? Best character in general? Best persona user in general? Best playable character but including spin-offs?)

It might be tricky since I’m both super busy and super lazy, on top of being forgetful. I’ll try to stay consistent though!

Apparently I’m supposed to tag other tournament blogs… I fear it makes me come across as greedy, but I guess it makes sense to try and spread the word since [tumblr] doesn’t really do that

never thought i’d ever make this post, but here we are. this is just an update since i haven’t been very active here (this blog specifically)

i’ve realized that i haven’t been writing anything for the course of 5+ months because i’m more focused on school, trying to adjust to young adulthood, and thinking about what other careers/hobbies i want to pursue in so it kinda drew me away from sitting down to write something. along with burnout, so that’s… yeah. sorry all.

the thing is i was really trying to get back into writing something but that’ll be once in a blue moon most likely. perhaps something not fandom related or something, but who knows? other than that i just wanted to say this for those who did follow me solely for my fics and such, so you’re free to unfollow if you fall along those lines.

as of late i haven’t been feeling like writing at all, and yet writing is the reason why i’m here via tumblr. but i’m probably going to be ia for the time being until i feel like writing again. (if that ever happens) though i’ll probably be lurking most of the time, so if you see me interact with your post or pop in your inbox then hello :3!! also mutuals if you want to get in contact with me in some way outside of tumblr you can ask for my disc or game users (via genshin, pjsk, hsr, roblox)

so what’s the takeaway? i think i need to step down from social media and not feel forced to post fics or anything. maybe that writing motivation i’ve been longing for will come back naturally, even if it takes a few months or even years. so i wouldn’t really say i’m “quitting” it’s more like a “half-vacation.” if you get what i mean. even when i say this, it’s most likely that i’m going to upload a shitpost or anything along those lines on my spam/main depending on how i feel at the moment, just saying.

if i were to really leave writing behind me, and for you guys to say that you get inspiration from me or you just enjoy my works, then thank you for giving me a chance to try to warm your hearts in the form of writing, as cheesy as that may sound. i’ve enjoyed doing it a lot! i really do. but now i need to slowly transition into adulthood and actually have that “adult” mindset. (s i g h)

the only difference is that i won’t write as much or at all anymore. (burnout, boredom, thinking about what i’ll do after graduation, slowly transitioning to adulthood, etc..) i’ll try to be active on this blog more often, but it’s mostly for interactions and stuff along those lines.

Fuck it hurt, it hurt so bad.

How were you supposed to know your stand didn’t work on other stands-- just on other people? It’s not like you could fight Red Hot Chili Peppers with your stand. No, Love Club was useless in combat.

You were lucky you could grab her and run somewhere where he couldn’t follow you. Still, here, right next to the sea bleeding out wasn’t your idea of fun.

You couldn’t move the two of you anywhere else safely at this moment. You could only hope Chili Peppers got bored and went off to do other things.

You were too weak to call back Love Club right now. And she was a stand other people could see… granted, she looked like an ordinary cat, it still probably wouldn’t look good if anyone saw both you and a cat bleeding from large stomach wounds.

You weren’t sure what to do. You doubted anyone knew were you were here--you had been attacked while you were all alone after all. You had thrown your phone somewhere so Chili Peppers couldn’t hurt you any more, so calling anyone was out.

Maybe the two of you would just lay here and bleed out by the ocean… There were worse ways to go, right?

“I’m… I’m sorry Love Club… I… I don’t think we can get out of this one.”

Weak as she was, Love Club still gently nuzzled her head into your palm, laying beside you where the shore met the grass.

“I hope… I hope Josuke and the others are okay. And that they kick the shit out of Chili Pepper and his user for us!”

You gasped at a particularly sharp pain, groaning as it blossomed all over your stomach and chest. Okay, yeah, this sucked pretty bad. If you made it out of this alive and ever met his user a stand fight wouldn’t even be necessary-- you would kick his ass yourself.

You had finally closed your eyes, ready to resign yourself to your fate when you heard a voice-- a familiar one at that.

“Hey, _____, there are better places to take naps you know.”

Were you just hearing things or was that Josuke?

You didn’t dare move much lest you cause yourself to bleed more but still, you peaked open an eye to see his lazy form approaching you from the cliffs.

“Josuke I swear to god--!” You choked on your breath, heaving heavily as you sat up on your elbows. “This is no time for your lame fucking… fuck… lame fucking jokes!” You took a deep breath. “I’m dying over hear asshole!”

His bright blue eyes widened as he saw you clutching the side of your stomach with Love Club by you not looking much better.

“Oh shit!” He sprinted the rest of the way towards you, kneeling by both your bleeding forms. “I had no idea you were hurt, shit, shit…” He was panicking, watching as you merely groaned and flopped over again in pain.

“Just heal me you idiot!” The words hurt to leave your throat, it was so sore and dry. You ought to hit Josuke after this.

“Uhh, right! Right…!”

With that Crazy Diamond came out and worked his magic, making it so it was as if you and Love Club had never been viciously attacked by Chili Peppers in the first place.

You sat up with a deep breath. It still hurt, a lot, but at least you could move and breath properly again.

Suddenly serious now that you were more lively, Josuke spoke. “How did this happen? Who hurt you?” He growled out, looking around the area.

“Who do you think? It was Red Hot Chili Peppers.” You frowned, watching as Love Club happily cuddled into Josuke. She always did like to be pet by him…

“That asshole!” Josuke tightened the fist of his free hand, glaring off into the distant ocean. “He should have known by now you can’t fight back!”

“No shit, why do you think he went after me when I was alone!” You sighed, shaking your head. “Man… this really sucks.” You continued looking down at your stand. Chili Peppers may have been a bird but Love Club really could do nothing about him…

“You can’t go out alone anymore _____.” Josuke looked serious as he caught your gaze. “You and Love Club… an enemy stand user could take you down at any moment. If I hadn’t come in time…” Josuke looked away for a moment, not wanting to say the words.

“Listen, listen I know… but Josuke it’s not like you can be with me at every moment.” You frowned.

“We’ll see about that.” Josuke stood and offered you a hand, which you gratefully took, blush dusting your cheeks. “I’m gonna keep you and Love Club safe from now on, okay?” You nodded dumbly, a little taken aback by Josuke’s claim as you picked up your stand.

���Y-yeah um… if you say so.” You tried to stay nonchalant, so he wouldn’t realize the words were getting to you. “I believe in you Josuke so um… I know you can do it, and all that.” You waved your hand dismissively at him.

“Now uh, lets hurry up and find my phone, okay? I had to throw it somewhere so Chili Peppers couldn’t follow me…” You rushed on ahead intent on finding it in the field.

In doing so, you missed the dumb smile that came to Josuke’s face, and the charming blush that came with it.

“I won’t let you down!” Josuke ran beside you, laughing all the way. You couldn’t help but smile as well. Maybe today didn’t have to be so bad after all…

MY 2023 MEDIA ROUNDUP

I've read a lot of manga in 2023. I've watched some things in 2023. Here's my roundup of some of the best ones. Screenreader users I don't know how image ID descriptions work so I'm just gonna type out the text on the image.

Part 1 - Manga

There is no good manga that came out (or rather, started publication) in 2023. But here are some of my favourites that continued (or ended) publication.

Dungeon Meshi (ended publication) - An incredibly heartwarming story about family, adventure, and cuisine. Full of heart of traditional fantasy stories with an impeccable worldbuilding that accentuates its excellent characters.

Skip and Loafer (currently publishing) - Kindness and niceness doesn't always go hand in hand, but this story reminds you that everyone has the capacity for good. Its complex characters scheme, doubt themselves, keep secrets, confide in each other, tell jokes, keep busy, and do all the things that make them feel human and real.

Ikoku Nikki (ended publication) - Tearjerking, heartwrenching, cathartic. This story depicting life and grief makes me cry like no other, but it is not about sadness. It is about love, it is about awkwardness, it is about embarassment, it is about everything that keeps people going, that keeps us alive.

Medalist (currently publishing) - Something a bit different from the others, this is an underdog sports story, with wonderfully written characters and gorgeous art, it tells a story of grit, tenacity, and the hope that those feelings bring about. The main and deuteragonist characters are definite standouts at the cost of rather shallow side characters. Still, it's probably the best sports story in recent manga history, though.

The following are manga I read in 2023, but may be published earlier. Exercise caution as I'm too lazy to describe them.

Q.E.D. Shoumei Shuuryou - Case of the week mystery

Ohana Holoholo - Tearjerker story about former lovers who come to raise a child together

Ace of the Diamond - Baseball

Look Back - Growing pains and the horrors of being an artist

20th Century Boys - Insane goose chase conspiratorial mystery about a cult-driven coming apocalypse

Billy Bat - Supernatural thriller about international conspiracies based around a cartoon bat

Bokura no Funkasai ('Our Eruption Festival') - How two very different people handle their lvies being upended by a miracle

Tengoku Daimakyou ('Heavenly Delusion') - Post-post-apocalypse story about a country trying to rebuilt from its mysterious ashes

Sousou no Frieren ('Frieren: At Journey's End') - Longing, desire, regrets, and doing menial tasks for shit pay

Karakida-ke no Koshogurashi ('The Karakida Family's Life Among the Old Books') - Three sisters live together under the roof of their grandfather's antique bookstore

Part 2 - Movies

I'm not gonna claim I'm a regular moviegoer. Here's my best two out of ten movies I watched from this year:

Killers of the Flower Moon - This was my first Scorcese film and it did not disappoint. The direction and acting kept me repulsed at all times. I applaud them for portraying such an utterly unlikable protagonist. Lily Gladstone rocked.

Oppenheimer - Nolan's style of editing adds to the chaos of the story. The quick, sudden cuts from all the concurrent plotlines really lends itself well to how the story plays out. Cillian Murphy slayed.

The Bear (Season 2) - People trying to live their best lives in the fine dining industry past their traumas and hardships. It is very stressful emotionally, but also really cathartic.

BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! - Five girls, each 'lost' in their own way, find solace and comfort in music and each other's company. Within this idol anime lies so much heart and passion, it's no wonder Bushiroad has released countless merch of them.

These ones are all from 2023, I just don't want to write abot them.

Succession (Season 4) - Thrilling conclusion to the four season saga of this royal fuck-up of a family taking the world possible path on every crossroads

Gundam: The Witch From Mercury (Season 2) - A horribly rushed but still good ending of the main couple's storyline (and Guel). I just wish it was a 39-episode anime with a movie

Skip and Loafer - Incredibly faithful adaptation that stays true to the original while improving upon the already excellent characters

Heavenly Delusion - This anime is just straight up a better delivery of the first four books of the manga

Overtake! - NYOOOOOM! Also, great character writing.

Hi there. I really did not want to have to make this post, but my benefits payment came in £80 under what it usually is this month, and in order to put my appeal in for disability benefits I need a letter from my doctor which costs £30. I don't get paid until the 25th and my appeal needs to be in by the 22nd. As you can see from below, I'm currently more than £80 overdrawn. I know there's a LOT of these posts going around, and I'm sorry to be adding to the amount of them, but if you could and are willing to spare even a little bit I would be so grateful.

EDIT: i know some people don't like people who rely on benefits so I'm going to clarify this rq: I'm too disabled to actually work. I had a job at the start of March but 2 very easy shifts of it made both my physical and mental health deteriorate to the point where getting up to go to the bathroom was too difficult for me for about a week. Please do not assume I'm just lazy- I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user and if I'm not in a wheelchair I rely heavily on a cane to get around. I even have a blog about being disabled and ableism (@crippledasinfuckyou). I'm doing my best, I just need help right now.

Don't talk about Seb fans on this app, I have stopped visiting his tag & filtered everything I possibly could, unfollowed every blog, and I am a Seb fan. And most of his fan blogs are busy sucking on other people's dick, hardly see anything from them about Seb, his car, his season, his bad luck, his situation... They only remember him either to simp, or to draw/write slash for their ships or talking about some other driver. What's the point of confusing others with Seb pfp & headers lmfao

The only tag I am checking on F1 is Kimi's tag and I seldom do it because in the past it was teeming with hate. And avoiding it turned into a habit. Seb's tag is so full of shit that I deleted it from my tag list long ago.

Since you are here, you must be aware that I am also a shipper, I also add thirsty tags on Seb and Kimi posts and I also do the Opinion ™️ shit. But I don't post my crap on the main tags.

In the past, before DtS and before Instagram culture took over, this place used to have a silent code/agreement. Main tags were for posting content. Pics, edits, gifs, links to interviews/translations, videos, news. And people kept their opinions, thirsting, shipping, hating on their blogs without tagging them or with very specific tags that you could filter. They used to censor the names because they also appear on the tags. They used to put edgy stuff under read mores.

Nobody was posting their silly answers to anons (most of the times self sent) on the main tags, nobody was making nsfw thirst posts there, nobody was putting every little shit that came to their mind, insignificant one liners, race live blogging, shit takes, hate and nc17 long ass fics out there with no read mores.

Then, posting hate became cool. The more shit you spew apparently your moral ground was higher. Also, ykinmk, but apparently, describing how you want some dude's jewels in your crevices right under the guy's absolutely normal pic on the guy's tag brought you followers, so why not? Or slapping your nsfw ship canon on the pic of two dudes and tagging both their names brought in clout, i guess.

Tags became absolutely useless. Actually, the main tags turned into a place to avoid.

In the past, you'd spread your content thru the tags and other side shit you have on your blog got around by your followers and people were contend with it. But currently, the situation is the reverse. For me, I trust my mutuals to reblog the content i want on my dash so that I can avoid looking at the tag and see how someone wants Seb's fingers up their nether regions first thing in the morning 🙄 Look, I like the occasional h*rniness of some users here, but it is on their blogs, not covering almost the whole tags of a driver and if I am forced to scroll thru all that shit to see a new pic of him, then instead of Seb I will be the one f*cking them and I highly doubt they'd like that 😔✊

I don't even want to talk about all the hate people live on like some vampires feeding on rotten energy. Those people are pathological and need serious help.

So, my friend, I am sorry for you. And I understand your situation quite well. If only I had the time and the steely nerves to sift through all that shit and make a Seb blog, too, but I am a poor sod who lives with chronic pain and am either too busy or too lazy.

Aizawa Shota was kind of a massive dick.

So, another long post, this one shit talking one of my favorite characters in MHA. The one came about when I was reading a fic shortly after I woke up, and sleepy dipshit me decided to make a multi-paragraph comment talking about how pre-Kamino Aizawa was a shit teacher.

Don’t worry, this hurts me too.

In cannon, Aizawa is both kind of a dick, and also kind of a bad teacher.

For one, the way he treats the students. Sure, he puts his life on the line for them in the USJ, but how much of that is genuine care and how much of that is because he's a hero? On the first day, he threatens them with expulsion if they fail a useless test. Like, yeah, seeing their limits and all that jazz, but how the fuck does throwing a ball count to skills a hero needs? Potential force?

For two, he calls Midoriya useless on the first day. Sure, it's in tandem with Mido breaking his bones, but that leads to him breaking even more bones! Permanently scaring and disfiguring his hands! Why did he never even try to coach Mido? Why did no red flags go up at the kid with the bullshit OP quirk being fidgety and anxious at the slightest sound, overwhelmingly bad at socializing, and generally being bad at interacting with adults, having no control over his quirk? I don't know about you, but that seems like a big red flag to me.

One of the popular theories I've read about Aizawa's disliking towards Midoriya is because he thought he was an egotistical kid who never trained his quirk out of laziness. If that is true, than that makes Aizawa an even worse teacher. You have to bring this issue up with the person, not just let it go and hope the kid gets better!

For three, he's a bit hypocritical. He shit talks the entrance exams, then put's the students trough a test that does the exact same thing but without fighting, and expels whoever is last, or who doesn't have enough *potential*. Sure, he gets them back in class a week later, but from what little I know about Japan's school system, expulsion is a really bad for of stress. How many students have just up and quit everything because of Aizawa? How many went to vigilantism or villainy and died? How many just dropped dead? How many were pushed away by family and friends because they were expelled on the first day? How many were taken by villains because they heard of the expelled UA hero course student?

That's not how you treat fifteen year olds. No matter the profession.

At this point, All Might is a better teacher. Sure, he has no idea what he's doing. Sure, his successor breaks his bones all the time. But can you blame the man? Because of him being the number one hero, he can barely make meaningful relationships with people because of villains trying to target them. At least he's trying to help his students, which is more than I can say about early cannon Aizawa. All Might gives his students advice (even though Most of it was with a little help with YaoMomo), puts them in a real world situation that can actually judge their skills better than running fucking laps, and is actually nice to the kids.

TL;DR, Aizawa is actually a pretty bad teacher in cannon, and is probably to blame for Midoriya's arms being fucked up by not trying to help a student in need, and All Might is a better teacher.

That’s your incentive to make Midoriya learn better? This is One For Fucking All we’re talking about! The smallest mistake can obliterate the user’s body! Midoriya fucking sneezes while practicing with it, his entire face becomes damn mist! And who knows if Midoriya, in his years of abuse from peers and adults, takes that as “I won’t heal you anymore”.

God damnit UA this is not how you teach.

EDIT: Guess who just remembered that Aizawa straight up tells Mido to learn control or he’ll be useless, then turns around and does jack shit about Kaminari.

EDIT 2: Guess who just realized that EDIT 1 is a moot point.

Hi! Sorry I let this sit in my inbox for so long, my life is a bit of a mess right now. (Also, I totally forgot that I mentioned my ao3 once upon a time and for a moment, I was wondering how the hell you managed to find it lol)

Anyway, yeah, I deleted all but one of my stories, a while ago. The thing is, I’d been writing them for a long time, and just keeping them to myself, and I only just got the confidence to post them anywhere within the last year. But recently, I’ve been seeing a lot of people saying that they hate the use of (Y/N) and other variants in reader insert writing and that it comes across as lazy writing. So now I just don’t feel good about my own writing anymore because I am (or, was, I guess) an avid user of the whole (Y/N) format.

And since my entire writing catalog was reader inserts, everything had to go. The only thing I left up is the first chapter of an AAWiL story I wrote when I was, like, fifteen. I left that one because I only just started posting it a few weeks ago, and I don’t have the edited version saved on my hard drive. It uses a similar format, so I’ll probably delete that one too, eventually.

Maybe I’ll get around to editing my stuff and reposting it, but I don’t know. (There’s also a chance that I’ll just get over it, and repost it all as it is)
