Xan here, and would you look at this? Thanks to guides left by the wonderful @glammoose, I have learned to do recolors--and seeing as our rogue needed a uniform, made sense to start here! Info and download below!

The texture has been tweaked, with shading added to the belt, tunic hem, and beneath the maille shirt, and shading softened around the gauntlets and shoulder-leather. Recolored in our brand-new palette, with custom thumbnails.

Four medieval stoves adapted to work with Ye Olde Cookbook

How would we live without Ye Olde Cookbook? The awesome medieval mod by @littlbowbub - find it here.

It made me stop using my old stoves altogether. I could not live without Eel Eye Stew. But, now I can use the stoves again! I adapted them with LBB's permission (TY!!) to her mod. They are freestanding versions from the old ones, so you can have both.

The visible difference is that I stole borrowed some of LBB's deco and put it on the stoves. The two SDA stoves are a little higher than normal stoves and therefore the animations are just a little weird.

The two frankenmeshed TSM-inspired stoves are also updated, they also have the LBB deco to differ them from normal models.

hello! recently there has been a MASSIVE rise in popularity for the test of time challenge over on the simscord, and i got roped in to make stuff for everyone, because, well... let's just say there isn't an awful lot of cc for non-medieval or non-modern sims in ts2. so, yeah. have 4 historical hats converted specifically for the early stages of the challenge!

this set includes: - valhallan fortnite flower crown - valhallan dbd babylon plague mask - vintagesimstress bearserker hat - zx-ta tsm fox hat

everything has been compressed and tooltipped, all of the hats have preview included, and are usually for more than just one life stage! wow! if there are any issues with these, kindly let me know 💕

Back in Hidden Springs

As you guys all know by now, I have the attention span of a gnat - yes, I do! So, I've abandoned Sunset Valley for a bit and started "fixing" Hidden Springs. Mostly because it is Christmas time and I figured where better to celebrate it than the greener-than-green hot mess EA misguidedly thought represented the Alps. Anyway, back in the day when the Sims Daily site was still up and running, several members decided to renovate this world as a group project. And hoarder me, saved all the lots. I've changed a few of them - mostly adding CC. At the time we did this, we were basically sticking with EA-created stuff. But since I'm doing this for myself, I can go crazy!

I changed out the city hall for a newer model and added some TSM cc to reflect the town history. That statue is of that mounted King from the Sims Medieval - as are those 2 large knight ones. I gave my protesters a podium and a microphone so the powers-that-be can better hear them. And I've added some fountains.

This build was done by Jenba and is called The Sims Dailly. It's the Business rabbithole replacement. Inside I've set the downstairs up as a newspaper office. And upstairs is the editor's space. I've used @mspoodle1s" rental bikes and her news van. And @grandelama's curbing - which I love!

I don't think anyone ever did this lot, so I replaced the sports stadium with this one from Aurora Skies. I made that track functional by using icarusallsort's jogging markers. And I placed those soccer nets on the field so sims can do something other than just stand around. To the left of the lot is a really nice gym I found over on Mod the Sims, called Turnverein by cutsocks. I googled "German" over there and it popped up. I figured it was in keeping with the old world vibe this town failed to do.

Then, up on the hill @ 2 Ponderosa Ct. I bulldozed the ugly house that was there and plunked down the hot air balloon lot from Aurora Skies. I have it, so I figured why not use it.

This is another lot that was created by Jenba. It was on 65 Subalpine Blvd, but I wanted the gym to be closer to town. So I moved this lot to 77 Subalpine Blvd. Anyway, it's called St. Avornalino Nectary and is an old monastery that's been converted to a nectary. It's pretty much as she designed it - I just swapped out some EA paintings for religious ones from the Sims Resource. And I added that clock over that one door.

I did a couple other lots, but haven't taken any pictures yet. Mostly because I'm lazy. Anyway, I plan on switching out most of the houses because I think EA's are crap. And I'll be giving the locals make-overs. And where all those weird, sickly green sims are, I'll probably make some of them into supernaturals.

Anyway, most of the lots are already done since Sims Daily members did them for me. I just have to add some CC. So, my plan to have this ready for Christmas - the first ever I will actually play! - should pan out. Go, me!

Hello, friend of Goat! ^^ You opened quite the Pandora box with this ask, lemme tell you! xD There’s just SO MUCH good clutter to be found all across the web; listing each individual piece would take me months! So in that name, I’ll be mostly listing general sites and blogs where I download my clutter from, with only the occasional recommendation for specific pieces of cc. I trust that you’ll do the ‘hard’ but enjoyable job of browsing through those recommended sites. ;)

- First and foremost: Garden of Shadows. Obvious one, I know, but I can’t stress enough just how many terabytes of cc gems the forum contains! From the Antiques and Oddities section to Monthly themes, events, and gift exchanges, GoS is the go-to resource if you want weird and wonderful cc, clutter included. Even if you think you’ve browsed it all and know everything the forum has to offer, revisiting some classics (e.g. Advent 2012) with fresh eyes might put you in the way of awesome clutter that you missed the first time around!

- Another obvious one: The PlumbBob Keep. Like GoS, it’s a HUGE forum with tons of hidden treasures, so definitely worth taking a look at. These fine porcelain plates, for example, look like something an elderly sim with a refined taste would display on their shelf! The forum also has a Conversions sections that’s worth checking out, because...

- ...conversions from other games like Bioshock, Skyrim, TSM, Dragon Age, etc. are a great way to get your hands on unique clutter! Some of my go-to object converters include Yolartut, Delonariel, Veranka, Hafiseazale, Amovitam, Mistyfluff, and Kativip. The last is an individual creator, but also the name of a whole forum that shares super-cool conversions, among many other things. I understand that most of the preview pics on Kativip’s site are sadly busted these days, but don’t let it discourage you! The site is absolutely worth digging through, even blindly.

- If you want clutter that’s shabby chic, old-timey but still contemporary in essence, SimPearls is a good place to look. The forum requires registration to be able to download from, but a number of resident SimPearls creators (e.g. Kim, Amythestfenix, Deatherella, Betsy4arts) also have personal blogs that you can check out!

- An oldie but goldie, Parsimonious features tons of great stuff that holds up incredibly well despite its age. Their creations are sorted in sets by room rather than by type of object, but there’s clean previews for each included piece, so browsing around should be a breeze!

- A more recent(ish) creator, MrsReval has many, many droolworthy object conversions. How about this cool pipe for your elders’ shelves, or these fancy figurines?

- Pocci/Gardenbreeze is a somewhat forgotten creator with a limited, if nice selection of quality cc. Their Roses Mini Set is a personal fave I can’t seem to play without, and then there’s also these sunflowers in a vase and these dainty deco birds that I’m submitting for your consideration.

- Speaking of forgotten creators: make sure to not miss out on HolySimoly, Adele, Om/Avalon, and Ogulama: all dead sites that have been archived courtesy of Liquid Sims. (*Protip: if you ever run across a creator who has disappeared and/or deleted their stuff, @sims2packrat likely has backups!)

- Riekus13‘s Tumblr is an absolute must for top-tier cc recolors! I don’t think there’s a cc object in existence that Riekus hasn’t recolored at some point, so their download archive doubles as a cc catalogue in its own right!

- Moxxa is a retired creator who shared many gorgeous converted object sets back in the day. Note that her cc style is mostly modern/contemporary, but maybe you can still find something nice for your elders’ shelves. How about this decorative model plane, for example?

- Someone else you might wanna check out is Beautifulnerdkitty. Like Moxxa, their cc is predominantly modern, but it’s so gorgeous and well done that it’d be a shame not to mention them!

- Pixelry is another member of the ‘gorgeous hq cc that’s not strictly antique but absolutely worth the effort‘ gang. Their original Tumblr got deleted and the link I’ve given only contains a small fraction of all the stuff they’ve shard over the years, so make sure to also check out their Old CC archive and SFS backup folder. (*Note: The Archive is on SimPearls so might require registration).

- Finally, a useful tip: sometimes, the best way to find good clutter is to rip it straight outta the games of other people via lot downloads! ;) I can’t even begin to tell you just how many unique pieces I’ve gotten just by plucking JodelieJodelie’s furnished lots; and you can do the same with any creator whose style you like!

I feel like there’s a ton of creators I’m forgetting to mention, but I believe there’s enough material here to keep you busy for a while. ;) Have fun downloading! ^^

@thesims1master was asking me about plumbbob's earlier today, and it got me wondering about TSM's plumbbob. I quite fancy that and started poking in the files after I searched to see if anyone had done it. I saw an attempt but nothing finished by anyone. They work differently in each game. But it is entirely possible to switch out the model with something else. It will just have the Plumbbob shader, as it doesn't have any image files. Gonna do some jiggery pokey stuff and see if I can get a Phong group added to give the metal texture to that part of the mesh. But I'm going to have to put it on the back burner as I have some other things (like a lot of fun items) to do.

Winter’s Crown: TSM Bourrelet/Padded Roll As Accessory For TYAEF

I did not forget that the holidays are here, and that it’s only polite to share a gift with you all! Please have this simple, last-minute present for your ladies. It’s the TSM “Jungfernkranz” padded roll, dehairified and made totally recolorable.

A bourrelet, or padded roll headdress, is a very typical early 15th century hat style for fashionable ladies, or those who wish to be seen as fashionable. Sitting above the ears, sometimes pinned around or under a headdress and sometimes worn on their own over styled hair, they added texture, shape, and, importantly, bling to an ensemble. Men wore a version of the bourrelet, which I will get around to making, but it was almost always as part of a chaperon’s drapings and usually was not on display. 

You get TWO versions in the download! One of these is glasses-slider compatible, and the other is hat-slider compatible. I made this so that you can combine the glasses-slider compatible roll with hat-slider accessories for a “Mary of Burgundy” look, or just to add some extra flair. Please note that this method does blur the textures, and is not really compatible with more complex hats (such as Jooj’s or VenusPrincess’) that have transparent or full-length veils. 

(Some of these hairs and outfits shown are, unfortunately, more fantastical than historically accurate, but this is an accessory that transcends the historical and fantastic very well.)
