time for my annual cubs game, im going on saturday vs braves. would love to know what players i should be lookin out for rn!!!

oh!!!! have a great time!!!! honestly everybody is on fire right now!! fingers crossed they play well when you're there too! jeimer candelario just got traded back to the cubs after being traded away after the 2016 season and based on how he's played his first two games back i'd say he's happy to be here. dansby swanson will be fun to watch this weekend because he used to be a Brave and it will be cool to see him play against his former team. he also has incredible hair and incredible defense. he and nico hoerner have been so good in the infield. christopher morel is full of energy and has been so fun to watch and seiya suzuki is always a delight (i am hoping seiya is busting out of the slump he's been in lately).

so, basically, the whole team is worth watching right now, which is not something i expected to say this season tbh

but that's only because i don't usually say any of this outright.

S are tags that nearly guarantee i'll read something

A depends on the summary, additional tags, if i'm familiar with the author, and my mood at the time, but they're usually a solid choice

B are things i'm not opposed to but don't actively seek out, or just don't feel strongly one way or the other. that said, i have read one (1) body swap fic and it was lifechanging, so this gets a B rather than a D. that fic was just that fucking good.

C are on thin fucking ice, but i'll give them the ol' college try if i'm getting desperate

D betrays the fact that i am ace (but, again, 1. beggars can't be choosers, and 2. if the other tags appeal to me or i like the author's other stuff, i'll give these a little leeway)

that bodyswap fic was so good i could shit. god. simultaneously redeemed and ruined the trope for me. it made me understand the appeal of the trope for the first time, and i will never find anything that can hope to compare. 😚🤌

anyway, yeah. love me some dark fic, love me a crack fic, love me a gen fic, love me a missing scenes/character study fic. but i'll try damn near anything once!
