After China and Japan, photographer Alessandro Zanoni returns to Asia, to Vietnam to be precise, to observe Hanoi and its society in general. As a good night wanderer, he patiently develops his research through long exposures among the streets' pavements. Although it is still an ongoing project, we can already trace the author's respectful will to relate with the place and to linger on that process of renewal and liberation from history typical of the new generations. Alessandro Zanoni's almost cinematographic narrative is rich in anthropological colors and nuances. It moves beyond gross sensationalism to return a vision as lyrical as objective’’.

The pictures we present here are taken from the series '‘Die Zeit’' by Angelo Anzalone. He wrote about his project: «Through the photographs found in the rubble of the temple of my eternal happiness, the home of my grandparents, I tried to reconstruct a family history that finds its epilogue over time. Fleeting moments of apparent normality are contrasted with a violent present that, in the barbaric gesture of malice, tried to erase its meaning. But despite the pain that separates the story from the memory, despite the fiery fire that has dragged with it part of my personal history, despite the continuous and desperate attempt to mend the rift with a past not yet faded, through the photographic narration the silence and the emotion, which from the depths ask for listening, are translated into visible form and charged with meanings. If nothing became, there would be nothing for which it would be worth living and for something new to take shape, something else must necessarily be lost. It is the cycle of time, it is the eternal return, it is life deeply lived.»
