Esa es la moraleja de esta historia de 1990 protagonizada por Slash y Duff, quienes se dedicaron a beber con sus novias y luego a aburrirse en sus butacas durante la gala. Pero resultó que Guns n' Roses fueron premiados y les tocó salir a dar el típico discurso. Slash lo recuerdo así: "Tambaleante, me puse a dar las gracias a todo el mundo intercalando incontables 'joder' hasta que me cortaron el micro. Seguí hablando, nos llevaron al backstage para unas fotos y una rueda de prensa. Me lo estaba pasando bien y enseñé a todos el dedo corazón. Al día siguiente no se hablaba de otra cosa, gracias a mi instauraron el delay de siete segundos en estas galas. No volvieron a invitarme en años".
