"Leave us, Sarada," Iruka commanded. They were honest girls so he could believe Sarada hadn't done it and accept that it was just Sumire. When the young Uchiha left, the principal stood up. "Sumire. Is it true that teacher are also involved?"
Sarada side glanced at Sumire before huffing and leaving the office, still very offended that she was accused of that. Sumire, however, sunk down a bit as Iruka stood up, "W-well... I-i... Yes, yes I-i've done things with teachers t-to get higher grades." At least she was being honest and admitting to everything, "Please don't expel me Sir! A-as I said, s-some boys forced m-me into it a-and then suddenly everyone wanted me... I-i don't know how to stop them."

Il Colombo : Regioni Esterne del Corpo, Scheletro, Sistema Vasale, Muscoli, Organi Interni
1924
Italian-language book on the anatomy of the pigeon. It includes a color illustration of a pigeon and a pigeon egg. The pigeon is composed of two large, double-sided flaps and a series of smaller flaps, each of which lifts to reveal the anatomical layer beneath it, from the pigeon's outer body to its skeleton, vascular system, muscles, and internal organs. The egg is composed of three double-sided flaps that depict the stages of embryonic development.
More images on our digital collection site. And our Director of Library Services wrote a blog post regarding the flap books! Check it out below.

Everyone's all "John Constantine this" and "Jason Todd that". It's rare I see mention of either Deadman or Secret.
Boston appearing in most people's stories is a good sign that shit might get serious. In Danny's? Comedic relief brown-noser.
Shit's too serious? Have Boston show up and pull a Boo Brothers or something.
Secret's clearly a protege of Danny's though. Like, if he's a Leagure in YJ, Secret's his adorable little vasal that gets introduced to the Team in Season 2. Zatanna and Artemis absolutely recognize her.
And, if you need a good "Leaguer shoeing how far above they are" scene? Put Scret in danger with Danny nearby. Imstant eldritch horror.

i am not like "how is andor and the mandalorian in the same franchise" in the way that i think they should be aesthetically or tonally the same or even go for the same audience. they should be different! but i am like "how is andor and the mandalorian esp. s3 so far in the same franchise", as in, how is one the story of how the empire subjugates and cruelly sanitizes local culture and forces people into terrible life choices were they ultimately might not come out as redeemable people; and the other one is like: yeah the empire was bad and kind of subjugated this place, but the problem with this was that it made this place so unpleasant and not digestible; but when a guy, who might or might not be democratically elected just cleans up everything, then it's just what nevarro needs bc the people who lived here before where so filthy and immoral. even though he was one of them. But what the citizens need is one of his vasals lording over them.

Kanthallur Salai
Tumblr media
The salais were institutions of higher education associated with temples (Kanthallur salai, Parthivapuram salai, Thiruvalla salai, Moozhikkulam salai etc.). Established by the Ay kings, they followed gurukula system (students living in proximity to the teacher) Though the royalty provided free food, clothing and accommodation to the students, the administration of salas were mostly autonomous.
Known as 'Dakshina Nalanda', Kanthallur salai is believed to have been founded by the Ay king Karunthadakan (857-885 AD). Later, this salai gained world fame as a center of learning. Students from foreign countries like Sri Lanka too came to Kanthallur salai for higher studies. This mahashala provided training in multiple branches of knowledge including martial arts. What set Kanthalloor apart from other ancient Indian universities of that era was the diversity in the subjects it offered. In Kanthalloor, students were taught subjects such as atheism which were considered taboo in other universities.
There are conflicting opinions about the exact location of Kanthallur salai. KV Subramania Iyer speculated that Kanthallur salai may have been located in a village called Kanthallur, seven miles from Neyyatinkara in present-day Thiruvananthapuram district. T. Gopinatha Rao quotes records dating back to the 9th century which refer to the deity in present day Valiyashala as Kanthallur Chalai Mahadeva.
Kanthalur salai appears repeatedly in the Chola inscriptions. There are several references to Kanthallur salai in Rajarajan's inscriptions about the attacks on Ay, Mahodayapuram and Mooshika kingdoms. It is thought that Ay rajas have become the vasals of Pandyas by that time. His inscription from the 4th year of his reign mentions 'Kanthalur Salai kalamaruthu aruli'. In fact, this is his first achievement listed in the chronology of events. Rajarajan was obviously very proud of this achievement.
Since 'kalamaruthu' can have many connotations, there were arguments that this means that the ships at Kanthallur were destroyed or that only the free food distribution for the students was stopped.
However in 2009, a hero-stone (veerakkal) belonging to the reign of Rajarajan was unearthed. It has a eulogy in Tamil that talks about the king “beheading the Malai Alargal (chera warriors)”, settling the long-standing debate about what he did at Kanthallur Salai. It is evident that Cholas destroyed the salai, annexed the port of Vizhinjam and killed the warriors. The salai is mentioned in the records of his successors too, showing multiple Chola invasions across generations.
Later, Vizhinjam was renamed as Rajendrachola Pattanam. Due to the incessant attacks of Cholas, the importance of Vizhinjam port and Kanthalloor Salai (if it survived Rajarajan's attacks in the first place) gradually deteriorated. Between the 10th and the 12th centuries Kanthalloor Salai and the port of Vizhinjam, were completely destroyed in war.
=======
In my upcoming fanfiction about Ravidasan, he and Parameshwaran will be Kanthallur Salai alumni and they will send little Amarabhujangan for higher education in this place.
In historical inscriptions, his name is Ravidasan Panchavan Brahmadhirajan. Brahma arayan/Brahmadhi rajan were titles given to high class Brahmin officials in administration and military. Another person of similar status mentioned in the novel is the Prime Minister of the Chola Kingdom, Aniruddha Brahmarayar.
The above picture is purely for aesthetic purposes.

Principal Iruka sat at his desk, a look of disappointment appearing. He had heard some... rumours about the attendees of the Academy and wanted to hear from them personally if they were true. The two he had heard about were Sarada and Sumire, both now in his office. "Girls... I've heard some mumblings about you both providing sexual favours to your classmates. Is that true? If I find out you're lying, you'll be expelled and never get to become shinobi."
Sumire looked incredibly guilty when the principle spoke of the rumors. Sarada answered first, angry, "Absolutely not! How would I become hokage doing something like that?!" And she was telling the truth when stating that. Sumire hung her head, "I-i've been doing it, Sir... B-but I was forced to! T-the boys cornered me and kept making me do stuff for them!" She tried to defend herself. Though sleeping around did get her things. Better marks on homework, people bothering her less. She just didn't think all that would make it to the principle.

Introducing; Tristan Alter (Ascension 1)
Tumblr media
Art by @/RNBW_Red on Twitter
Usually I don’t do this. I commissioned all Ascensions of Tristan Alter and usually I would wait until they are all done to post him. But this is an exception. Tristan Alter is my Heart Project and is one of the most important things ever to me. So when I got the commission sheet for Ascension 1 back I wanted to show him as soon as possible. I am glad he exists and I want other people to know that he exists too!
Short Background Story: This Tristan Alter is a „What if his Life would be totally different?“ The whole Story is tied to my Mastersona who I ship with Tristan, so I leave this part out and only focus on the essence of the Alter Form! He is completely based on Gottfried von Straßburgs „Tristan“ so that’s my Love Letter to his Version of the Story and all Ascensions have References to it, like this one.
Tristan Alter takes the Path of „What if he didn’t get hurt during the Morolt Battle?“ and therefore he never had to travel to Ireland and never met Isolde, never drank a Love Potion. In fact, that he defeated Morolt without a major injury helped him gaining more respect and trust from Cornwalls People. And over the time he also got the „approval“ of King Markes Vasalls. Marke kept his promise to never marry so Tristan could get everything and yeah this is basically the deal; This Tristan is now the King of Cornwall who cares a lot about it’s citizens and would do everything to protect them!

His Class is Assassin. He doesn’t have a Main Weapon. The Weapon changes per Ascension. In this one it’s a Spine-Like Sword you can also use as metal whip. He made the Sword out of the poisoned blade he took from Morolt after the Battle. This Tristan is focused on killing the enemy, mostly fast but he doesn’t mind it taking longer.
The Boar Helmet is leaned on the fact that the Boar was not only Tristans Heraldic Animal but he also symbolised a Boar in Marjodos Dream + In the Celtic Myth of Drystan he was a Pigheard. He has more connections to pigs than one would think! So with that Helmet he takes pride in this fact and the Armor as a whole is to scare away his enemies.
As you see he also as a hidden and small crossbow on his Armor. And under the heavy and big Armor parts the deep black parts are scalemail!
His Armor is mainly based on Fantasy Armors and also draws ties to his Story (like my OC x Canon Story) why it looks like this since this comes also from the influence of w Demon God Pillar.
So that’s for this Post! Maybe it’s good to post it separately so I can post more insights into Tristan Alter! I am glad I can share him already with the World! I love him so much, he is one of my biggest Treasures! See you next time!

Zagreb is the capital city of Croatia. But till the XVI-th century wasn't even part of Croatia. It was one of capital cities of Kingdom of Slavonia.
During Roman Empire, today's northern part of Croatia was roman county Panonia Minor. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire, franks acquired the title of Roman Empire and transfered former counties to duchies, vasals of frank kings. So Panonia Minor became "Duchy between Sava and Drava" (rivers).
During VI-th and VII-th century slavic people settled eastern duchies of franks empire: Bohemia (Czechia), Moravia, Nitra (Slovakia), Carantania (Körnten in Austria and Koroška in Slovenia), Styria (Steiern/Štajerska), Carinthia (Kranjska), Duchy between Sava and Drava, Croatia, Zahumlje, Duklja, Raška. In the IX-th century, all that duchies except the last four on Balkan, united under the same king independent from franks, with the capital in Brno. Latin name for that kingdom was Sclavonia, but it was better known as The Great Moravia (Velka/Velika Moravska).
In the X-th century hungarians came to Panonia and practicaly cutted the kingdom to two parts. From that time is Duchy between Sava and Drava know as Duchy of Slavonia, from latin name Sclavonia for the former kingdom. Hungarian name for that duchy, later kingdom was Slovenia and citizens call it Slovenje. For the same reason probably Slovakia today has it's name, called by citizens Slovensko.
On the begining of the XVI-th century Kingdom of Slavonia became part of the Habsburg Empire, later also Croatia. As about 90% of Slavonia and 90% of Croatia was occupated by Turkey, Habsburgs decided to unite two kingdoms with the capital Zagreb (Agram), so they can easier organize defence. Till 1914. official name was Kingdom of Croatia and Slavonia.
In north Croatia, former Kingdom of Slavonia, is spoken so called kaikavian dialect. That dialect is now much more close to croatian language, than it was in history, because of influence of official language, but still people from southern Croatia don't understand about 30% of that dialect, while slovenians understand all. All differences from croatian language is actualy slovenian words,so it is obvious that kaikavian is actualy dialect of slovenian language.
Today's Slovenia wasn't known under this name till the end of the IIWW. That were three duchies: Carantania, Carinthia and Styria. The first known (written) slovenian duke was Valuk, duke of Carantania in VII-th century. During history Carantania and Styria were populated by german people, so after the IWW slovenians were 42% of population in Carantania. Bigger parts of Carantania and Styria are now in Austria, while smaller parts in Slovenia.
In the XVI-th century many towns in Carantania, Carinthia and Styria changed names to emphasize it's slovenian identity: Gradec became Slovenj Gradec, Bistrica became Slovenska Bistrica, and so on. On the same time, in Zagreb was pressed the first book. It was about world history and on the first page is written that it is in slovenian language (v slouenskem jazyku). So it is obvious that people in Kingdom of Slavonia, and duchies of Carinthia, Carantania and Styria shared the same identity and language.
I was born in Zagreb, I speak kaikavian dialect, my father fill to be croat, as well as my mother when was still alive. So I also every time declare myself as croat. Most people in northern Croatia fill to be croats, and that should be respected. But it is good to know that we actualy have slovenian roots.

sometimes a family is
the lesbian queen of Norway and Sápmi,
her arranged husband who spends (thank god) too much time with the antiquarian,
her priestess who's also her lover,
an 6'2 ace marshal who led a peasant revolt
and her sadistic spymaster brother who simultaneously tried to kill her but both miraculously failed,
her steward and vasal that is more powerful than her and is involved with the spy but they won't do (hopefully) anything to her because she's her childhood friend,
and finally the young but expert chancellor who gets involved with the other two and puts her in check but it's ok because they have to be united to engage in war against Sweden
oh interesting!
