Questions I have for Marvel part five

Avengers:

1. Why why why on Earth would Loki (God of Chaos) be pro facism? For that matter why compare Loki to Hitler?

-It’s an awesome scene and very well acted by everyone involved just out of character for most of them and only serves to introduce Cap and vaguely exposit the type of person he is to the people who didn’t watch his stand alone movie.

2. What happened when he fell into the void?

3. Why does he look like he’s practically just escaped death at the beginning of the movie?

4. Why are we only shown travel via Tesseract once and never again?

5. Why does the Tesseract look like a slightly smaller Casket of Ancient Winters?

6. Why would Loki (a canon intersex, genderfluid, pansexual) ever use an incredibly crude term to refer to Natasha in the interrogation scene?

7. Thor doesn’t open the door and run at Loki until he’s practically upon him and it’s a small walkway. Yet somehow Loki gets behind him? Could he teleport out of the cell the whole time?

8. What’s up with that guy Loki flipped onto a table in Germany? Like did they just take an imprint of his eye or is that guy dead?

9. Why can Captain America’s shield take a blow from the mind stone?

10. Why do people’s eyes turn blue upon getting controlled by the mind stone when Wanda’s powers make people’s eyes turn red and the stone itself is yellow?

11. Why did Coulson live? I know aos gives some bs excuse about alien blood and Tahiti and it was traumatizing for everyone but he got like stabbed in the heart?

12. Does the staff have some weird front/back rules?

-If it doesn’t then Loki should have just controlled Coulson rather than stabbed him. Going off that logic, Hawkeye was coming at him really fast in that scene, how did he avoid just stabbing Clint straight through?

13. Why the obsession with kneeling? Thanos never displays this and neither does the Other?

14. For that matter, the Other threatens Loki with Thanos making him wish for pain and that there will be nowhere he can find him and that threat literally never materializes?

15. How direct are the orders? We only get that one scene with the Other and everything else is so unclear? The wikia says the mind stone has influence but how? Is it full mind control? Does it get rid of impulse control? Does it delete all positive memories? Does it induce aggression? Does it increase negative memories? TELL ME HOW THE MIND CONTROL WORKS PLEASE!!!!!

16. While all the Avengers are going around getting together and fighting and nonsense what are Clint and Loki and Selvig doing? Like, I know it’s totally not relevant but I want to know. Do they get snacks? Communal lunch break?

17. Why does Steve immediately come towards Tony hostile? Especially if he knew Tony was Howard’s son, he would want to be welcoming wouldn’t he?

18. Steve mentions seeing some footage that made him think Tony wouldn’t make the sacrifice play? What footage? Where in either of the two Iron Man movies is there content that could imply this?

19. What is the void like?

-Inquiring angsty fanfiction authors want to know

20. What exactly did Tony see when he fell through the portal? Another dimension? Thanos himself? A whole bunch of Chitauri?

21. What discharge does the repulsors have?

-Tony very clearly reverses practically on a group of people after being thrown out of the window.

22. If the staff makes Bruce angry and the others fight, why doesn’t it make Loki and Clint fight?

-The rules of the staff are so unclear and it’s ticking me off.

23. Ok Loki is so out of character and I’ve got to address this. Like, it has been said that Whedon decided that he could just guess Loki had seen some shit in the void and then decided to write him however he wanted and depended on Tom Hiddleston to hold up the vulnerability and likability from the first Thor. And no flipping kidding. TH held onto the likability of that character by the skin of his teeth.

24. Tony makes a joke to Thor about Prima Nocta and like that’s not ok. Prima Nocta is an ancient Viking tradition that literally translates to first night and basically means that when ppl took over a place the leader would have the right to take the virginity of every woman in the village before her husband. So basically statutory rape. Why would Tony say that? He knows what it means, it isn’t funny, and it’s wildly out of character?

25. Why does Steve literally become Captain America in this movie? Like, he loses all personhood and turns into a very flat one-dimensional character.

26. For that matter who decided he was the leader? He doesn’t really have a military rank that would apply here and Natasha and Clint are the more experienced SHIELD members?

27. Why is everyone so neurotypical? Like, why don’t we see the PTSD that Clint has from the mind control, that Steve has from fighting in the war, from Tony dealing with a whole bunch of exploding robots based again on his tech?

28. Why is Natasha’s uniform unzipped just low enough to not show too much boob? Is she too hot? Daisy Johnson and Melinda May don’t wear anything like it and from the red room flashbacks both in Avengers 2 and Agent Carter, the red room kids didn’t wear anything particularly sexual as a regular uniform.

29. Why is the portal a bottleneck? Why wasn’t it opened literally anywhere else? There are other reactors and other energy sources? Why does Loki let himself get captured and let the Hulk out? That has nothing to do with the overall plan? Why take so much time letting the Avengers get together? Why does he say “that was the plan” when Tony says all the Avengers are coming after him? Why is the writing of Loki’s plan in this movie so stupid as to make assuming he was trying to fail the more intelligent option?

30. Why is Hawkeye not deaf? Like there are a ton of awesome deaf actors? And it just gets rid of representation?

31. Why the attack first ask questions later mentality for Tony with regards to Thor?

32. Why does Tony say “I hope no one kissed me?”

-He’s comic canonically bisexual, come on ppl.

33. Why do only 80 people die in the building that held the Tesseract collapsing?

34. Why is Selvig working for SHIELD now?

35. Why does Fury think it’s safe to just pick up the Tesseract, especially when we’ve seen what it can do later?

36. How does SHIELD find Bruce and why?

37. After Natasha pulls a gun on him and displays very clear intent to kill why does Bruce still go along with her?

38. Why are Natasha’s missions only ever seduction based?

-It’s like she’s only valued as a female character because of her sexuality--- ohhh....

39. Who are the WSC and why do we care?

40. How does Loki get so much help? Do he and Clint just sneak around and Clint points him to some off duty SHIELD agents so he can mind control them all to be his assistants?

41. Is Loki connected to the Other in his mind or through the staff?

42. Why does everyone in Germany speak perfect English? I’ve been to Germany, I know English is widely taught, but not everyone is good with languages and German is still the official language of the country?

43. Why does Clint know how to take out the entire Helicarrier?

-I thought SHIELD was a need to know basis.

44. How does Tony not throw up or lose control while whizzing around the propeller like that?

45. Why is it a hard blow to the head that gets rid of the powers of the mind stone?

46. Also is the mind control a property of the mind stone or the space stone?

-I think it’s the mind stone but a lot of people seem to think it’s the Tesseract.

47. Why are we given so little information about the Chitauri?

48. Are the Chitauri even attacking humans or just causing property damage?

49. Why does Bruce return? And why then?

50. As cool as Bruce’s line is, he literally can’t always be angry or he’s always the Hulk. Is there an anger threshold?

51. Why is Loki acting like a top?
