Never apologize for long answers!!!! I love them!! I don’t have any IRL friends who like the game or show, so I love talking to someone else who’s as passionate about it as I am.
I also preferred Joel getting stabbed rather than impaled. In the game it worked, But also like- there’s no way he should’ve survived that. In Left Behind it takes Ellie a while to get medical supplies, so he should’ve bled out. Also somehow it didn’t hit any of his organs?? And he didn’t have any back/spinal damage from the fall?? The stab wound just made a lot more sense lol.
I love Episode 7 so much!! It was so accurate to the game. Also the way they displayed their emotions?? The pining, the awkwardness, and the friendship was so great. I loved it so much. Idk for some reason tv shows can never get teenagers right, they typically write them like they are older than they are.
Episode 8 was the only episode I never rewatched. Even the first time I went to watch it I skipped forward to the end because I had to remind myself they reunite and she’s ok. Bella better get an Emmy for that. Their screams still haunt me.
I get what you mean about mirroring! The finale scene where he tries to take the brunt of the bomb felt like the scene from the game where they jump off the bridge and he puts himself between her and the rock
AAAA thank you, anon! I also don't have anybody irl to talk to, so the amount of asks I'm getting about this silly little franchise means so much to me! I truly am having a blast >:)
yeah! how did he survive that??? how were no major organs hit?? how could he stand after that?? that was a two story fall? which sure, isn't that high, but?? with a stab wound??? that's a lot of damage?? but yeah, both work for their respective media? like, the impalement? works for the game and the stab works for the show. yeah! he should've! never thought about that, but yeah! she had to fight so many guys? and you're telling me he didn't bleed out? did Ellie even stuff the wound? is that the term? did she wrap it or anything? or was it just There while she ran around, looking for things? bonkers.
yes! I saw screenshots before having watched it, so I was assuming they were together the whole time because of the pining between them. like, the look Ellie gave Riley on the merry-go-round?? I totally thought they had been dating for a while lmao they do, yeah! I feel Bella and Storm were really able to capture the teenage gay experience. the staring through the Victoria's Sceret window? the complete adoration of the other? I remember being brought back to my own teenage relationship during that episode :')
totally get that! yes, be safe when watching stuff! I don't skip that episode, but I flip david off the whole time he's on screen and I make sure I'm doing something else for That Scene. I'm very forgetful, so I can't usually get away with skipping scenes/episodes? but I totally get why you would, it's a Bad episode (just the events). I got into reading tlou fics simply for the aftercare of that episode, so skipping to the end just to know they reunite? very smart. Bella does deserve an Emmy for that performance. their acting in that entire episode is just. spectacular. their screams are stuck in my head, too :( VERY worried for the next seasons for that exact reason
omg yeah! I never thought of that! he truly is a dad :((

“Do we have to watch ‘Nowhere Boy’ again?” a very annoyed Jack asked his obviously excited girlfriend, before he continued, “We just watched it last month.”
“Yes. But that was a recreational watch, this is a watch for research.” the girl said, already pulling up the familiar movie, knowing Jack will cave, he always caves for her.
“What research do you have to do?” the younger brother asked from the kitchen, for one of his trips to get food, between playing his video game.
“So glad you asked Luke!” she said, turning her body to face behind her at the boy, her boyfriend rolling his eyes (as he usually does) his head falling into place on the couch cushion behind him, as Y/n continues, “It’s the end of the year, and with the end of the year comes my ‘crush recap’ podcast episode. It’s my favourite time of year!”
“I didn’t know that was why we were watching this! I don’t want to watch a movie were the entire time you just note everytime he does something hot!”
“That is not what I do.”
--
“Who are you taking notes on in this one.”
“Who do you think?” the girl says, giving her boyfriend an ‘are you serious’ look, as she turns back to the TV abd turning on ‘don’t worry, darling’
“What I mean is Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, so which one?”
“This is good for you, two birds one stone.” Y/n replied, impressed he remembered who was in the movie. But thinking more of it, she did not shut up about it in the months leading up to the movies release (and many months after the release)
“Good.”
--
Sitting in the living room, Y/n was recording a podcast. Both the boys were at practice, leaving the girl a good time to record.
“She is so hot! Ahhhhhh!!…. I’m sorry, the Julian Baker thing is really getting out of hand. But like I’m in love with her so I don’t know what you want from me.” Y/n mumbled, looking as if she just got caught red-handed. Which she had, she was just too busy to notice.
“Who-Wha-” Jack said, before giving up and walking into their shared room to get ready to shower off the practice.
--
As Jack walked into the living room, looking for his girlfriend he comes to find her sitting on the couch. Blushing. This was nowhere out of the realm of ordinary for Y/n, but never this much.
“Who has you blushing this much?” the boy asked, coming to look other the older girl’s shoulder, only for him to bot be able to get a look as Y/n quickly turns off her phone. Now this was weird, she never has a problem telling him who her celebrity crush this week is, so why not now?
“It’s nothing.”
“Why won’t you show me.” he questioned, pouting slightly in hopes of getting her to crack.
“‘Cause it’s nothing.” she replies, her eyes following Jack as he rounds the couch.
“Really?” he asks, in a rhetorical sense, bringing his hands to her sides where he knows she’s ticklish. Wary of his hand placement the girl responds with, “Yes. Really.”
“‘Cause I don’t think so!” He announced, bringing one hand to reach for his girlfriends phone, while the other begins to tickle the girls sides.
“No! Jack! Aghh, stop!” Y/n struggles out, laughing and trying to wiggy out of Jack’s grasp. Yet, she’s to late as Jack grabs her phone, standing from the couch and running into the kitchen. Y/n recovering then running after him.
“Me?! I made you blush like that?” the boys yells, rewatching the edit of himself that previously had his girl a blushing mess.
“Shut up! Give me that!” the girl says, back to being said blushing mess, while grabbing her phone from the younger boys hand.
“Aw, am I this weeks celebrity crush?” Jack teases, following Y/n out of the room.

Queen Charlotte : A Bridgerton Story Review
SPOILERS !!!! watch out bae <333
honestly, ngl I watched this show only because of the chemistry in the teaser. like the wall scene encouraged me to watch it. Bridgerton is always a little hit and miss for me in a I could not finish season 1 for the life of me but watched the next one like 8 times.
It felt a little too fast paced and people began pissing me off from episode 1 but I reminded myself it was a historical show. Although her brother just signing her away and then saying 'shut up, it's already done' made me so mad ??? like let her react ??? even further down the episodes even when he's concerned, he's like oops sorry, already done now like bitch ??? 😭😭😭 so just #uselesss and annoying !!! I am sorry his little burst @ her got me because she didn't even have time to react !!!
The wall scene comes and I'm practically ready to jump but then to me it felt like the show was going 80 kms/min I was like woah woah woah, why is he saying all the right things... this is just moving too fast. (i want to gloat about being right about being suspicious but the way all i knew i was it felt shady, still had no idea what was coming fr 😭)
they were so cute and tender :'(((( ! like this is what the show kept doing to me till we got George POV. I kept on thinking we were just skipping conversations or moving too fast or just going at it because chemistry !!! but one thing about me, i'll see a romance show through and i'm kinda glad.
the show moves too quickly in the first 3 episodes for me, especially if you're binging it like me. a part of me is glad like yes babe! keep kissing each other (their chemistry is insane!) but the other part is like ??? you're not even going to talk about things. like initially i was even mad that he got to decide when they saw each other and got to be with her with a small ass apology. (the pov episode does so much for us as an audience but my girl was #robbed of many explanations)
they look great together!!! like even when she heard his outburst from the door and thought that he married her and is miserable. you could see both of them really liked each other which is why you keep waiting for an explanation, although i was wondering since they dropped each other's hands QUICKLY post coronation did the king not find it weird that she suddenly is angry ??? maybe i'll catch things on a rewatch. like he's ready and has moved in with her !!! but is not curious that she's visibly angry ???
i also will use this post to say everytime someone is not there in the morning after scenes with their partner, a part of me dies !!! unless they have gone to bring you food, you better be cuddling mate !
i for some reason called Brimsley and Renoylds little romance, i just felt vibes and yet I yelped happily when they started making out while wondering what is wrong with the king lmaooo. #real and also the actual power couple of the show! their interactions made the show worthwhile and i love how both of them were ready to risk all sorts of conduct because of how much they cared for these bozos. trust me their hands slowly touching each other had me waiting breathless because for a second i thought they were about to break up 😭 i wanted to see them grow old together
back to the king and queen shenanigans, honestly i thought that the king had just grown forgetful or just had old people problems in the og show so i was actually surprised when he ran out of the house looking for Venus.
episode 4 is we get George's pov and honestly for a bit my stubborn ass was still not ready to hear explanations till I saw him crumble into his mom's arms and it broke my heart. :( (i do not know what the illness is so i am not going to assume or probably read other posts and learn but it feels like anxiety is always a trigger for it and i felt like leaping in like a protective mother everytime someone put him in that situation)
the actor is so good with tender eyes, like the way he looked at her made me wipe out all of the memories of the earlier 3 episodes and go awwww you love her. that doctor was shady from the jump and just kept on getting worse, like the way i wanted to actually k!ll him. like he actually seemed to be enjoying the torture he was doling out on this poor man... with the obsessive need to tame him like WHEN I CATCH YOU ! (nasty ass loser, like when he spoke about taming the wolf i just knew he was not okay...) practically used the shaving routine as a way to threaten the king! loserrrr
i love that her calling that small dog a deformed bunny is what makes the king laugh (which is a relief to see post doc torture) and is what brings him out of this, and he's like fuck this shit! i'm seeing my wife. both the actors are so gorgeous...
also i am a sucker !!! for POVS and this one came with explanations so i was even a bigger sucker
Renoylds just placing a hand on the king's shoulder did more than what the dumbass doc's aggressive slaps or methods could do...
one night with the queen, one dance with the queen and the king was like i'm all healed up he's just like me !!! he was so in love lmao
then he has the episode and the queen handles it well, but he wakes up alone
the queen was fully right for asking questions but once again like the first heard the conversation through the doors, instead of even slight miscommunication, we get no communication. btw, she's pregnant too (which starts the venus panic in the first place) , blessings ! she actually begins to show a full bump and btw this is where i think the timeline fully goes helter skelter for me because did he just leave her for months and worse did he get TORTURED FOR MONTHS???
my girl is about to leave and a lot happens and i'm running out of word limit so i'll save that for another post but a chat with lady danbury #mygirl pushes the queen into the king's place and she rescues him. I NEEDED THAT BAD like you do not understand for a second i was convinced that the doctor would break him and the queen and the king would never even be able to say i love you, like i thought he'd somehow freeze in that moment right there (it is stupid but like i was actually afraid)
she saves him, they tell each other they love her and like i'm ready to go to war for them atp, they are so tender in the way they hug and you can see relief in his eyes, in her eyes and you let go of a breath you didn't know you were holding.
i love how she lets him heal but more in how she takes care of him when she can feel panic rise and his hands shake and how he calms listening to his voice ( take that nasty violent ass doctor)
the way they lied under the bed and he was afraid he would never be fully there for her and understood if she wanted to leave and she said fuch that! i love you and you're just george, just george to me <3
anyway, i feel a wave of sleep coming because i intelligently watched this at 2 am and it is 6 now but the last two episodes were me just awwing at the screen watching him trust her and himself and be happy with her. i'm so happy he got to share that with her
the children, lady danbury and violet thing I'll get onto later
the scene where the king's mom tells the queen that he's happy because of her is so sweet because it is reminiscent of the dance scene where she also realised he was happy happy.
i love how he swoops his arms around her !!! he's happy and safe <333
also this is where the timeline shakes me up because my girl is already pregnant??? AGAIN??? i feel like he helped her deliver their first baby in the same episode LMAOOOO
anyway text limit warning but yeah i liked it

The first time I saw the jiara kiss I was… disappointed to say the least. It was a very pretty kiss don’t get me wrong but the cheering immediately caught me off guard; it felt so out of place with the heaviness of the moment, and it almost felt like it’s taking away from it. Then I went on Twitter and saw ppl call it a ‘Disney channelesque kiss’ to make fun of it and got even more upset. But I’ve rewatched the season now, and especially the kiss scene, and I found that -and maybe I’m just delusional please tell me if I’m talking out of my a** 😭- it was actually… incredibly sweet? It was cheesy as hell, like something you’d see in an old romcom at the very end; but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. after everything they’ve been through, after JJ feeling like he isn’t worthy of love, let alone Kiaras, for the entire season, fighting it with all his might- he deserved that. They both deserved a cheesy as hell romcom public confession with people cheering them on. Almost everyone in their life is against them being together, and so to have their kiss be celebrated like that, like it’s something good, actually fits really well. Idk, maybe I’m starting to lose my marbles but now everytime I watch it I get emotional at the confession and then start cheesing like a loser at the kiss. Just hope they get a more private one with better lighting in s4. Sorry for the rant btw <3
No, I actually love the kiss scene. At first my reaction was semi similar to yours; I was disappointed by the lighting and I don’t usually like intimate scenes watched by other people in ships. However, it was definitely a pandering move to Jiara shippers as well as a nod to them and it’s a move that works for me. I can see why it’s not for everyone and definitely isn’t what we imagined, but this show has always been cheesy and over the top. I mean do people not remember when John B screamed “I don’t care about your boyfriend with his frosted tips” in the Jarah kiss? Jiara aren’t cheesy people, so this was their way of making their kiss more dramatic/memorable. I know a lot do people were saying they liked cleope’s kiss better which is fair, but which one are people going to remember in ten years? The pretty well lit kiss with pretty scenery and an adorable but relatively casual confession or the one where he snuck into a cabin full of girls and everyone cheered when they kissed? This is NOT a knock on cleope because I loved them and their kiss but memorability wise it’s something to consider.
Don’t let people make you stupid for liking something. They’re all watching the boat show too so like?? However, all that said; I do wish we had gotten a second one that was private and in better lighting in the finale!

Everytime it Wasn't Swain
After rewatching Arcane, I decided to make a list for everytime Swain was almost there. You thought he was being alluded to, but he wasn't, it was actually something else. Or was it?
1. The Crows
Tumblr media
Swain has ravens, not crows, there just happen to be a suspiciously large quantity of crows, for a port city, instead of seagulls. As the show went on, the arrival of crows became synonymous with Jinx's presence and vice versa. It's not hard to see why, crows are intelligent and naturally social birds that do well in urban ecosystems, they just have a mixed reputation as good and bad omens. On a narrative level, the presence of crows does have interesting implications. Crows and ravens are easily confused for the other if you don't know what to look for. And the more I read about Swain, the more I notice that he and Jinx (in Arcane) are similar in some regards. Not just the fact they killed and maimed their family members, that's not uncommon for League backstories for some reason. From a storytelling standpoint, they both serve as living embodiment of their respective nations, good and bad, that other characters have to react to. And it was their actions that changed the trajectory of their nations.
What's even more interesting is that crows and raven in real life don't get along, they're incredibly territorial and avoid one another. If they do cross paths, crows are more likely to pick a fight with ravens. Despite the raven being bigger, crows band together in large groups to fend off ravens from their nesting areas, sort of like they harass them away. Food for thought.
2. The Man Named Jericho but not Swain
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one was cute. It took me a while to realize that they both had the same first name, except Swain has a last name, which is Swain. The first time his name was mentioned was when Vi and Caitlyn were on the search for Silco, but Vi was really on the search for Jinx. Funny enough, Jericho's apron and pants looks like the Jinx's outfit. I know plenty of people wear pinstripes in Zaun, but the black triangle with the 'X' in the center was pretty on the nose. On one hand this shot could foreshadow the way Jinx's actions come between Caitlyn and Vi. On the other, that's not as fun, and I want to know if this makes Jericho a Jinx stan! Seriously, maybe it's another hint at the way Zaun and Noxus are similar threats to Piltover, just in different clothes. Or Swain's a Jinx stan too!
3. The Palette Portrait
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've watched Arcane more than once and never managed to see it before, and wasn't too sure it was Swain until I outlined the figure myself. There he is long white hair, red magic hand, widow's peak, and sharp profile. In context, this is part of the scene where Mel is aggressively painting while Jayce apologizes for leaving her alone in bed the night Viktor collapsed. It's the first time Jayce and the audience sees her paint, and is essentially one of the first moments we get to see a part of her inner life. In this exact shot she says, "There's a lot you don't know about me". I'd say pretty on the nose to say this is foreshadowing her past connections to Noxus. But there's small things that are off, for example, Swain is draped in red rather than a severe black. And his face is dark while he's a white man, the color choices actually fit Ambessa more than Swain. Another fake out? Or maybe it means that there's no difference between people like Swain and Ambessa in the grand scheme of Noxus' war machine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All in all I found three times Swain's presence was almost confirmed, but instead was something or someone else. There was always one or two details off to make it so. Each time there was an "almost Swain" connection, it was usually in association with Jinx or Mel, a cast member actually from Noxus. Swain, or at least the concept of Swain, seems to haunt the Mel's past and Jinx's future.

TAG GAME: EIGHT SHOWS TO GET TO KNOW ME
I was tagged by @shutterbug-12 thank you !!! Weirdly we do share a show, how surprising 😁❤️
Here's a thing : I do not watch that many shows. Partly because I don't have time, partly because I am bad at watching shows because I need to be emotionally invested to get into them, and once I am ???? I can only watch that show in particular, on repeat. Yeah I'm a grown ass adult fight me.
Ripper Street : end all be all the best show on this list that is not at all in order of good from bad for real but this one tops everything. Period drama, awesome characters, delicate treatment of issues we are still struggling with nowadays with actually sometimes more decency from these 19th century Victorian men than 21st century people 🙃. Also misery misery misery feels and a fine dry humor that makes it the perfect match. Oh, and. Dead bodies and gore happens. Also there is something to the dialogue than I just absolutely love.
Tumblr media
Daredevil (netflix) : of course this one has to be on the list, and I love it, and I love Matt and Karen and Foggy, and I wish S2 didn't exist. All this can coexist, you know (and I love Elektra and Elodie Yung she is absolutely NOT the problem). Please do not talk to me about She Hulk or the Disney reboot, thanks (gif to make people watch it, I like my men sad and guilty they can't save everyone and covered in blood, thank you). So yeah overall a show I love and have rewatched many times but nowadays... I feel kinda bad about it and it makes me sad.
Tumblr media
Band of Brothers/The Pacific : you know me, you know why I like these shows (no it does not stop at "men in uniforms"). We did a rewatch of BoB recently and I think it's an easier watch than the Pacific, but I think I like the latter better even if everytime it makes me feel so bad. Anyway a gif of Webster because (hard to chose between him and Leckie I admit)
Tumblr media
Doctor Who : just. Love it. Especially RDT era. Can't chose between 9 and 10 but the best is Jack Harkness
Tumblr media
Good Omens : I need a rewatch. Just love it. I have nothing more to say, it's great.
Tumblr media
Scrubs : probably one of these shows I shouldn't rewatch in case I cringe a little but when we first got together with Benj 11 years ago we just watched Scrubs on a loop. I don't especially like the characters but the show itself, which is kinda weird for me (except Dr Cox. I love him)
Tumblr media
The Sandman : last show that blew my mind. Just love everything in it. Can't wait for S2. I had read some of the comics and loved it, too. Just realized that it's the second Neil Gaiman thing in this list (3 if we count that he wrote for Doctor Who lol) and I guess it says stuff about me too
Tumblr media
Pushing Daisies : I have loved the contrast between the whole death thing and the colourful and happy sets and stuff. This show is cute and dark and funny and I love it and I need to rewatch too when I can. (Also? Tall cutie that meddles with the dead and bakes awesome pies? did I use Ned as a template for my OC without realising ??)
Tumblr media
I don't think it counts as a show since it's an anime so it's a bonus but if you've been following me the last 6 months, you need to hear about Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood but not necessarily excluding 03. At all. Just watch it back to back. That'll do it. I love both.) (Yeah oddly enough I'm not crazy about the title character there but about THEM and of course you must have noticed)
Tumblr media
I tag @heirsoflilith @rancid-butter @qs63 @littleragondin @dairogo @musing-and-music @magipies @goneadrift @smoothshine if you want to do it !

i think i finally understand shin-yu
where i ended up after a week of pondering
normally, i drop a drama or start disliking it around the 8 episode mark. you know, when the funny antics and original premise give way to the melodrama, the tropes, and the stupid desicions. i thought destined with you would suffer the same fate, especially as i didn't really understand where shin-yu was coming from in episode 7 and 8.
don't get me wrong, i understood that we were watching him struggle coming to terms with the fact that his feelings for hong-jo might be real and genuine. i just didn't understand why it was such a struggle for him. i understand hong-jo much better because i share a lot with her, but i think i get him now too.
i didn't understand his confession at the end of ep 8, or rather, i misunderstood. i just really didn't understand what he was referring to when he said he really didn't wanna believe in temporary feelings.
I didn't get it and it was driving me crazy. i had promised myself to not obsess a whole week over this show like i did the week before, but alas....
so i read about every review, recap and discussion on the episode i could find and the unanimous consensus was that he believed his feelings for hong-jo, while no longer spell-induced, to still be temporary (hence why he didn't wanna break it off with nayeon). and there was only one person on reddit who then had the same question as me - why would he believe his feelings for hong-jo to be temporary? because of the neural coupling? i thought episode 7 & 8 were supposed to show that he moved past this explanation as well.
but then i read his character description (see post below), which really focuses on his illness and how he is a cool-headed, rational person. and that brought back to mind that dude has been having hallucinations and feeling a non-existent hand on his body / face for we don't know how long. so it is absolutely understandable that he doesn't quite trust his own feelings and emotions. especially when the attraction comes so suddenly (i do believe that happens) and make him act so uncharacteristically.
uncharacteristically referring to the fact that he can't control his actions when it comes to hong-jo, not the desire for these actions themselves, as we can all tell from his comments that he has a nerdy side. (apparently he has a 'secret greed for comedy'. lol)
and shin-yu prides himself on his (self-)control. understandably. right now, himself is the only thing he can control. he's cool-headed with the haum CEO and won't take his bait, with kwon (everytime kwon raised his voice at him, he always stayed calm) or when gi-dong antagonized him in the beginning. my man didn't drink for 33 years. and hong-jo makes him loose that self-control too. that must be scary and annoying. especially if you can't be sure your body / mind is playing tricks on you again.
so i think when rewatching the episodes tonight in preparation for tomorrow, i might look at him with kinder eyes. i'll still shout at hong-jo to kick or punch or slap him or preferably do all of those things, but i'll try to empathize with his struggle a bit more.

ive been thinking about Pan's relationship with Koon from what we've seen so far...and i wonder if we found our main antagonist in Koon.
for most of first watch of episode 1, i was feeling sorry her having to deal with such a diva all the way until the scene with Khun Charlem when she left Pan in the room with that CREEP knowing that he was getting waaay too touchy and that Pan was visibly uncomfortable, (if you know him, which she does) on top of the fact he was not keen on meeting him, and adamant they leave early in the first place. All that going on...and then she got a call and then left him??? this manager that has been at his side and controlling everything? what was so urgent when your main client is right here! it made the hairs on the back of my neck go up and i started to see Koon in a completely different light! and they actually gave us a bunch to go off of that she is going to be trouble!
Clue 1: Pan's chin touching secret code. I noticed that everytime Pan touches his chin there is a little chime so the audience is supposed to note that moment! (cool story telling from the editors i think!) We get a quick definition after the award show when Pan storms in bascially saying "what the point of a secret code if we dont use it!" because he wanted to leave but couldnt say so. at first i thought this was just a "get me out of here" code. BUT then we get to the mafia baby shooting and when Pan touches his chin, we hear the chime, and then Koon asks a question! after another rewatch im interpreting these moments as Koon asking the questions that Pan is thinking. So now we're seeing this as a code where she is supposed to speak for him! maybe so Pan can keep his image as not being a diva when he actually is one. or its her way as a manager to always have say in the things. we're not sure who came up with the code and who these characters are fully yet. one result of this is also that everyone thinks Koon is demanding, when really the one who has most of the questions is Pan. The only demand that solely came from Koon was the demand for the last take.
Clue 2: Pan says "Its up to P'Koon. If she's okay, then i'm okay." There is another chin touching moment at the mafia baby meeting. Pan touches his chin, we hear the chime, and then Koon asks on the amount of NC scenes. I wonder if this was actually his question, but regardless it seems like he nervously approves. But his way of doing that is what interest me, he says "its up to P'Koon." As far as people at the meeting is concerned she has final say in what Pan does. At least that is what comes off.
Sidenote: it was so interesting that across the table was Nott, without his manager, and Candy gives him things to relay to the boss. not the other way around. Nott seems to speak for himself.
Clue 3: She leaves him in the room with Khun Charlem KNOWING Pan is uncomfortable and DOES NOT WANT TO BE TOUCHED OR ANY WHERE NEAR THIS CREEP. Pan was visibly uncomfortable, especially when she was leaving him, and we know from one episode that Pan hates being touched by strangers. If we know, then she knows too, but she let this happen! Pan knows it too, which is why he shoved her hand away when she returned.
Something that's sitting with me is how she was visibly uncomfortable watching Pan and Nott make out. Again, at first i wondered if she was supposed to be seen as protective of his innocence or sexuality or something....but now im not so sure.
I have a strong feeling that Koon does not know about Pan and Nott's "workshops" and that Pan wants to keep it that way. Maybe because Koon is supposed to be seen as the "keeper" of Pan's sexuality. She says when, where, with whom, BUT she cant control a real romance with real feelings. annnddd everybody saw that Pan was enjoying that makeout with some real feelings lmaoo!
But anyway! my point (i think...) is that Pan and Koon's relationship is going to be a focus, and probably very toxic which is unfortunate for Pan!
sidenote: i really like it! i feel like some people arent picking up what they're putting down, but im excited to see where this goes! it is a drama after all!

I'm rewatching some episodes from cobra kai, and I just watched where it went wrong between Kreese And Silver.
It is fascinating to watch by just the expressions of these two alone.
When Kreese wanted Terry's help he came to his house after over 30 years, all judgemental that terry wasnt much of a fighter anymore. Terry, who worked on himself through therapy and long years of filing in his life with things that were non- violent and peaceful even.
Up comes kreese to crumble it, comes once again to ask terry to help him win this fight. To ask terry to put his life on hold, or in this case even expects him to turn off his whole life, for him. Because you owe me. Even when he doesn't say it, even when he pretends that isn't the reason, it is. He always plays with that thought. And terry knows it.
Tumblr media
Does Kreese care how Terry's doing? Did he even thought of him in all this time? He only showed up when he needed something.
But terry owes him, and being triggered by kreese's words and his own guilt/loyalty/trauma he does go. He tries to play nice, to stay decent, but he falls back in his own ways.
But then the part I started talking about happened.
We see Kreese start to feel threatened very quickly. Terry shows up, energetic, charming, rich and the promise of better possibilities (better equipment, quality and promotions/ expensions). Already in physique alone he towers over kreese. Then terry starts speaking like an equal, with his own ideas, and Kreese does not like that! You see him looking everytime terry talks and it isn't mimicking his own words or actions.
It builds up and terry is unaware. Why would he be? They're friends, partners! Not enemies. But then the little bet was made. All in good fun right? Sure terry picks 2 weaker students at first.
Tumblr media
But then kreese picks robby and terry unexpectedly chooses Kenny.
And kreese is amused. Poor Kenny, looked down upon again. He's new. He's still being trained by robby, he still scared and shy to act. But the fight starts and as terry expected, robby holds back to not hurt Kenny and Kenny uses it to his advantage! Just like Terry meant! Because this was a lesson about an opponent's weakness! And Kreese didn't really get that.
Terry wins and is happy, and Kreese...Kreese can't take it. Terry dared to talk about Kreese's weakness in front of the students, AND proves his point.
And then we get scene with the beer, where kreese comes to congratulate his buddy... by bringing up trauma and questioning (while silver is obviously vulnerable and reliving it all) his loyalty. Where he tells Terry that he isn't a friend after all, that he needs to learn his place. Beneath Kreese, always. They aren't equals, they aren't partners. Silver is supposed to be a lackey. Helpful, but never as good as.
(Then you get the next training scene where you see terry suddenly standing behind kreese, not next to him like he did before. It obviously had an immediate reaction in him.)
Which brings us to Terry feeling the need to prove his loyalty, to fix things.
He sets up Johnny, which is easy to be honest, but brilliant because it goes flawless. And terry starts beating up Johnny. He's so very happy to do so (it's both to show his fighting spirit, to show kreese his capabilities, and jealousy of the fondness kreese still has for Johnny), but he's stopped. By kreese. Who normally says no mercy. That there are no weaknesses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yet here he is. Helping Johnny. Saving Johnny. What a hypocrite! You stopped Terry proving himself and riding you off your weakness, for this loser?! Terry doesn't understand. He did everything right, everything kreese asked of him, and he only got it thrown back in his face, but kreese let's Johnny walk?
So he goes and gets drunk. And he's ranting to himself. Because everything he believed in was turned upside down. He gave up everything and he got bitten. He's mentally unwell here. He's thrown back into his ptsd, he's disillusioned by his friend who acts like he's the enemy, and his friend who just shown weakness he rejects in others. He's hurt, he's mad, he's lost. And then stingray shows up.
Poor stingray, at the wrong time and not very smart and very eager.
So when we get to the tournament and we hear kreese say this to robby:
Tumblr media
And Kreese doesn't even know he's both the friend and the opponent, and he taught his lesson well.

Now I’m curious, which episodes of the looney tunes show don’t you like and why? =)
HAHAHA I'M GLAD SOMEONE ASKED, Cause I actually wanted to say but I didn't wanna write them on the same post (I'm such a drama queen)
SO-
Casa calma
I remember I wanted to rewatch The looney tunes show completely by order AND I ALMOST COULDN'T FINISH THIS EPISODE (which if I'm not wrong is the 2nd or 3rd) CAUSE IT'S A PAIN TO ME. First is a classic objetification of women (Well one in specific) and it's a classic Bugs vs Daffy episode where everything turns horrible to Daffy and perfect for Bugs, WHICH OK, Daffy as always didn't have the best intentions but it was honestly tiredsome and burdensome to me. Like we get it, Bugs is a saint and everything goes well to him, I think I'd have been ok if in the episode Bugs didn't end up with the girl at the end. Maybe if he has actually oblivious to the situation, but it was part of the "joke" that he would end up with the girl. Idk, I guess I like more all the sitcom dynamic and that episode just felt out of place with a weird vibe. Maybe I should rewatch it again but the last time I did I thought "I hate this episode I don't ever wanna see it again" and I haven't since.
The Float
Ok this episode BOTHERS ME SO MUCH thanks to Daffy's nerve HAHAHA BUT- I will admit that once I rewatched all tlts skipping this episode cause I remembered how insufferable Daffy was, but got curious as to if it was as bad as I remembered,,, And I guess cause it's Daffy and my love for him has grown and I forgive him everytime cause he's so lovely<3 I rewatched and it WASN'T AS BAD AS I REMEMBER. I do need to pause a little to take in what just happened cause poor Porky HAHAH but It can turn to be a fun episode when you get over that. I think I hated more that episode back in the day cause I was watching it with my brother and he was trashing Daffy and I couldn't help to agree HAHA, but it's a fun episode when you get past that.
Super Rabbit
I can watch the episode, it's ok, but I just don't like it's not sitcom. I want to see them live "ordinary" lives, not a fantastic superhero based story that didn't happen. Idk it's ok, I don't hate it but I don't love it. But I guess it was a way to conclude tlts that didn't let me feeling empty. Cause it really wasn't an end.
These are the episode I rarely or not ever rewatch HAHAHA-
(sorry for my grammar)
Special mention again to DMV CAUSE I LOVE THAT EPISODE SO MUCH AND I THINK IT'S REALLY FUNNY. Ok peace.

Speaking of Episode 6/the wedding, do you still watch that one when you rewatch the show?
I was rewatching it today and completely forgot that Anthony says Kate is a ‘thorn easily removed from the blossoming flower of our lives’ - I forget how many times he pissed me off watching it because he so quickly makes up for it again and makes me love him again, damn that man.
What did you think of this line? I loved Edwina’s subtle reaction - I kind of read it as her realising she’d have to give up her sister to be with this man and almost wish there had been a line where she said something along the lines of ‘never see my sister again?’ But also she’s mad at Kate then so it may have jarred.
What do you think Anthony’s motivations are here? Do you think he is still acting in Kate’s interests or is he genuinely worried about their reputations? I thought there might be some relief based on the previous episode. I assume he is still lying to himself/wearing that mask.
Soaking of Edwina & Kate - if they were doing Austen parallels I kind of wish they’d had an Edwina weeping over Kate like in Sense & Sensibility with Eleanor & Marianne but then that is one of my fave scenes ever and makes me cry everytime - but Charithra would have smashed that
i— i can't tell if you're joking i literally went on a spiral about this yesterday so i'm just going to copy paste what i said but essentially i LOVED that line about the thorn AND I LOVE EPISODE 6 from a kate and anthony standpoint and here's why:
"the man was on the verge of a complete breakdown and only years of pushing away his own emotions for his duty/for the good of his family got him through that day like?? this man was not ok"
"every word out of anthony's mouth was literally him trying to build his walls up. 'she has plans that do not include me' clearly suggested that if kate even hinted at wanting him in her life, he would do anything for her. he was literally going through with this wedding because of her begging, using his name for the first time, him to. he restates the thorn line because he's forcing himself into thinking of her that way because if he doesn't? he would end up completely broken on the outside. he literally states that this is what i now know for what will happen with kate post wedding because he cannot ever say that that is what he wants. at the first hint of her being vulnerable to him as well, in the closet, anthony grab's kate's wrist and looks deep into her eyes, begging for just another moment with her."
"i maintain that thorn line in episode 6 was delicious because it really emphasized how much pain anthony was in over what kate said about their feelings fading and he was there saying that to edwina but actually desperately trying to convince himself"
"HIS MOUTH SAYS ONE THING BUT HIS EYES SAY ANOTHER THE MAN WAS IN PAIN IT WAS DELICIOUS AND IT HURT SO MUCH LIKE WHAT DO YOU NOT GET!! HE WASN'T JUST BEING CRUEL ABOUT KATE HE WAS BEING CRUEL TO HIMSELF ANY AMOUNT IT HURT US IT HURT HIM 10x WORSE LIKE??? HE WAS LITERALLY LOOKING INTO SPACE IN THE PICTURE ON THE LEFT HE WAS IN HIS HEAD IMAGINING KATE LEAVING FOR INDIA AND HE WAS IN PAIN"
TLDR; anthony was forcing himself back into the duty mindset because he believes kate doesn't care for him/doesn't want a future in which he is a part of and so that's why he was saying those things. to convince others, sure, but more to convince himself and honestly the person he was hurting the most was himself.
in terms of edwina, i struggled in this episode, i won't lie. i think her hurt and anger are justified, but i struggled with understanding her motivations and i think that's a fault of the writing. especially in her confusion that anthony doesn't love her and then her saying that kate pushed her into this when kate was against it from the start and only gave in when edwina took a stand for herself and said this is what she wants. like i will always be a little bothered we never truly delved into that and again, i think it's a fault of the writing trying to make her speech as big and dramatic as they could without actually paying attention to the content. they could have gotten that same scene with different lines.
i think when watching episode 6, i kind of ignore literally everyone except kate and anthony (and honestly that's how i watch the show) so to me, 6 was an excellent episode for the kathony content it delivered. it was peak repression and DESPERATION on both of their parts and the angst?? the sweet sweet angst!!

guys so i decided to rewatch the first lone star episode and and and omg
get ready for another analysis <3333
so obviously there's the conversation between tk and owen about tk and alex and in that few minutes we learn so much about how owen feels about that relationship
he doesn't congratulate tk right away, and when he does it's just "i'm happy for you son" but he's very much against the proposal, but he wouldn't ever actually say it to tk, despite tk knowing. and one of the things that stuck with me too is "why don't you move in first"
tk and carlos are literally everything tk and alex weren't, in the best fucking way possible.
they took their relationship slow, well when they actually started dating. there's a good few months between season 1 and season 2, so it's safe to assume tk and carlos moved in 6/7 maybe 8 months into their relationship?
not only that, but owen actually adores carlos. this is evident so much. owen constantly insisting carlos call him owen and not captain (a sign he has respect for carlos) and even when him and tk were broken up, owen hugs carlos in the hospital.
the hug in the hospital always gets me. because when owen tells everyone the bad news, he makes eye contact with carlos, no one else. he looks at him and he sees the fear in carlos's eyes, the fear on his face. and he hugs him. they're in this together. because they both love tk. they have that in common
owen really cares about carlos and it's so cute. they're scenes together in 2×08, where owen talks to him after he gets suspended. he reassures carlos that his instincts are good because he has a heart. he uses his emotions to make his calls. and y'know what? owen knew carlos was right and he's only known carlos like a year. carlos's own dad didn't believe him (yes i'm still salty over this, fuck you gabriel) but owen knew there's no way carlos was wrong.
and carlos has so much respect for owen. i mean, calling him captain all time, while now is a running gag, shows just how much respect he has. owen is his boyfriend's fiancée's dad, and he still calls him by his title. and in 3×05 carlos called owen his father in law, more or less which means he saw not only a future with tk, but with tk's family, long before their engagement.
and yeah, as a parent all you want is for your child to find their person (and for the parent to like the partner). anyway, omfg did tk find his person.
i could go into a whole analysis in itself about tk and carlos, but i'll summarize with they get each other and that's what you need in a relationship
when you watch the show, owen never once has a bad thing to say about carlos. never. he's always been in love with tk and carlos being together, because they're so good for each other. sure they go through their ups and downs and they fight, but all of them led them to where they are now. engaged.
owen never says a bad thing about alex either, but his attitude, the silence after tk telling him he was gonna ask alex to marry him, the snippy comment of maybe you should move in first. he never does anything like that when it comes to carlos. owen loves carlos
so i just know owen is gonna freak out when they tell him their engaged. like he's gonna be so upset they didn't invite him to the official announcement and insists on an engagement party and he makes a huge deal about it, because he's so happy for them. he's gonna have the biggest smile on his face everytime he sees them and everytime one of them calls the other fiance/husband :)

#Lol everytime i see this funeral scene i find new things to be mad abt#the bane of my existence#and not in a good way#everybody in this scene pissed me off#IN A LINE!
yeah bonnie's death was really awful as a whole. CAROLINE AND ELENA BARELY BOTHERED TO INVESTIGATE because they were thriving at college, matt was the only one who made any attempt to reach out, tyler gets a pass bc he was in nola....... and ugh bonnie's death being spent entirely on beremy interactions is yikes
warning this isn’t an MFG friendly post whatsoever. There’s nothing great or honorable about that scene for Bonnie. You can look it up on YouTube there’s more people having emotional break downs over Caroline/Elena’s reactions than being sympathetic with Bonnie. Ya know the person whose actually dead.
“When Caroline cries I cry.”
“When Elena drops the feathers I lost it.”
“Even in death Bonnie remains selfless!”
Bonnie wasn’t just dead for a day or two. She was dead for months on end and they didn’t notice or care until they wanted something out of her. Her body was left in that cave for months. There’s absolutely no way to narratively break down that scene and feel empathy for her friends. Keep in mind Bonnie’s father died and it is mentioned that she didn’t show up for his funeral. She did however have to watch a man that looked like Stefan slit his throat open in the mist of that. Jeremy was the only way they communicated through Bonnie during this time and again no red flags? Forwood gets a whole reunion during this scene. Then instead of the scene allowing some self-awareness(which is too much to ask of them obviously) the scene turns into Bonnie’s spirit comforting them. Its just bad and coveted in the thing plec loves woc suffering and playing slaves to white characters.
When Bonnie is eventually brought back to life she’s the anchor suffering again. She gets one line or mention on her father’s passing and moves on from that. Abby doesn’t get a mention in none of this which is such a grand backpedal after seeing her parents in s4 try and fight for her. Which wasn’t seen from anyone since s1. So you’d think after struggling and trying to free their child from her reckless ass behavior (love Bonnie deeply but hey) they wouldn’t check on their kid? Yet we get to see a whole season of Caroline’s grief process to Liz’s passing plus a funeral. (Which is why to me…i don’t find it that sad and I feel nothing in a rewatch during that era.)
Throw the whole script away and these “friendships”.

Hi Zalrb! So I was just looking at your post about brulian and I couldn’t agree more, like they feel like they are forcing themselves to be happy and it annoys me so much because good actors and writers know how to convey the happiness at couples being together without saying “we are so happy!” Everytime they are in the same frame, for example dair, mondler, peraltiago, etc. Not only the actors are bad together but the writing (my gosh) like one of their first scenes they make a reference to the breakfast club and he basically says “they [princess and rebel] end up together” like could the writers be any more obvious to what will happen between them? Good writing is when the writers and directors show you what will happen and not tell you directly to your face, it just takes you off the fun of the journey. They do the same thing with Leyton, they keep saying lines like “I can’t believe we were ever apart”, “We are so happy, nobody can make us happy except each other” and I’m like really 🤔. For example Mondler, they bring up Richard a lot in their fights but it’s never stated that Richard didn’t make Monica happy and it’s shown that Richard and Monica could’ve ended up happy together, which makes Chandler feel insecure sometime (understandable) but at least it’s an acknowledgment and respect to the past. But oth, man they try so hard to bury brucas and jeyton, that it’s laughable. I’m sorry I went into a ramble, it just frustrates me that people nowadays find this good writing and I’m like where?
Sorry again for making this long!
lol i understand, oth writing can be insufferable, which is why i highly, highly doubt i'll be rewatching past season 3 because without brucas or jeyton i don't see the point, like i can't watch peyton wax poetic about how blues are bluer with lucas and then him and peyton just talking about their relationship over and over again in season 5 or deal with AND BROOKE IS HAPPY WITH JULIAN WHO IS THE ONLY MAN WHO UNDERSTANDS HER BECAUSE BROOKE DAVIS FORGES HER OWN PATH AND JULIAN KNOWS IT, like i can't do it.

Now my friend I need your top 5 best disney movies. Then your top 5 flops
Oooooohhhh this will be hard to narrow it down but my family and I just got finished watching a bunch. I will also keep this animated only and remove any Pixar collaborations.
1. Mulan- truly the movie of my childhood I watched this movie so much as a kid and it mostly holds up to me. Mushu is funnier than the average talking companion and the cricket and horse don't speak praise be. The songs slap, the emotional beats are the strong love the message and Li Shang is hot af. Mulan is also just such a great protagonist 10s across the board!!
2. Moana- I had been following Moana ever since it was announced and let me tell you it did not disappoint. It came out when I first started college (for animation and I wanted to work for disney which quickly fizzled out thank god but I digress) me and my friends saw it in theaters so I have fond memories of it. Story wise I have no notes a great sound track and one of the very few times I like lin manuel miranda’s work lol. I also probably bought the most merch from this movie.
3. Lilo and Stitch- A classic!! My parents don’t like it cause of the aliens??? But they are haters and are wrong. Great songs, great animation and now that I'm older I really feel for Nani and cry literally everytime she sings Aloha Oe before they come to take Lilo away. Like I cry again when the alien grabs Lilo and Nani thinks its over. Its a great movie if it can make me cry, plus stitch is adorable.
4. Tarzan- A Suprise entry for me! I remember hating Tarzan as a kid but when I rewatched it, it was an instant fave. Its so well done and also has great songs too, I even enjoyed the love story between Jane and Tarzan and I'm pretty picky about that with Disney. Like I was very pleasantly suprised and this knocked lion king off the list cause lion king was a disappointment on a re-watch.
5. Tangled- It was either this or Atlantis but I had to go with the og of the 3d princesses, and the animation still holds up! (Better than frozen’s if we are being real). This movie is the last princess movie of the old forumla incoroprating romance and a villain and its good fun. She should've got the love Elsa got but oh well.
Flops- I'm gonna preface this by saying I'm sure there are way WAY worse disney movies. I just have never watched them cause they look bad so these are the ones that I've watched that didn’t hit.
Raya and the Last Dragon- Boooo, decent premise and promising start but they had way too much ground to cover in such a short runtime. I honestly feel it would've done way better as a disney plus show like then we would've spent more time exploring the different places but no we had to speed run. Sisu was annoying af awkafina’s voice only made it worse. The moral to trust the person that literally already betrayed you, has been hunting you down, and showed no real signs of changing was also very bad and heavy handed. No way would I have trusted undercut after how she behaved also sisu is literally ignoring how the old lady betrayed her earlier in the movie just cause you trust some ppl doesn’t mean you can trust everyone.
Beauty and the beast- This was an easy one, so boring I never finished. I didn't watch as a kid so again no nostalgia but it sucks man and I tried to watch the live action too and it was even WORSE only made it through even less of that one.
Peter pan- The racism is startling on a rewatch and everyone was so nasty and mean to wendy it felt sexist a bit how every woman was a nasty hater trying to kill her because they wanted to be with peter. Also just boring and bad in general I had a horrible time watching it.
Frozen 2- A gigantic mess from start to finish. There was no salvaging this mess and the addition of the 5 spirits, and enchanted forest, and parents backstory was a confusing choice to pick. Also the spirits designs themselves were trash and super weird. Also from a dystopian capitalist viewpoint why did they not make the four other spirits magic girls as well so they could sell different dolls of the new magical girls. It also would've worked better as a tv show and wouldn't have been as rushed. I'm being nice because I know they had to rework a lot of the movie last minute.
Fox and the Hound- super boring and tedious to get through like all old disney movies. The songs were also super atrocious too, I use to love this movie as a kid but probably just because there were talking animals like no other part is redeeming. The subplot with the birds trying to eat the bug was super annoying too like this is a movie not a tv show why is there a totally unrelated B plot getting a ton of time.

Liz your TAGS 😭 yeah that gifset is beautiful but I can’t even properly look at the damn thing, it’s just so sad. That ‘really’ and ‘fuck’ genuinely makes me ill. Is that seriously ridiculous? yes. Is it totally true? Also yes lol. I’ve watched that scene in it’s entirety exactly 1 time and I’m gonna (well probably I’m determined for no real reason at all to make myself do so) again when my mom and I get there (we are on 5.04 and I’m stalling hard). Just oooone more time, take it all in, and I can’t imagine I will everrr again afterwards. It’s TOO heartbreaking and they acted it TOO well. That shit just oozes from the gifs which is why I have a tendency to avoid them.
And this is not even touching on the rage-inducement afterwards. I just won’t lol.
I FEEL THE SAME 😭😭
Good luck for the rewatch, you're so brave (when I rewatch some gallavich scenes I tend to skip this part too. My heart just can't take it, so I know exactly how you feel) it shows how much they mean to us and how much they acted it so well as you said. Right in the feels and the guts. Everytime I think about it, I need to think about the end just to feel a little bit better.
And if you ever need to talk to someone when you'll reach these scenes (for emotional support), you know where to find me (here or in dm!!)
