I think my most controversial Star Trek: Next Gen opinions are that I like Wesley, but I don't really like Riker.

#my brother and dad are so amused by my takes about the show #I admittedly have very little prior knowledge about any of the series and before starting the show knew nothing about the fan opinions #my dad and brother are informing me of how my opinions clash or mesh with common fan opinions as I express them #but yeah I have no issues with Welsey #from my understanding people think he's annoying? but like he is way less annoying than a lot of other teen boy characters I've seen #like in the episode I just watched Picard yelled at him to shut up and I felt bad #idk maybe it's because I went into the show already having a positive perception of Wil Wheaton #as for Riker... idk his vibes just aren't it #he comes off as kind of a creep and for whatever reason I just don't click with his character #my favorite character so far is probably Data tbh #idk I'm only halfway through the first season so opinions are bound to change but this is where I'm at right now #probably not going to become a frequent Star Trek poster but I do like documenting what I've been watching and discussing irl #actual dedicated Trekkies ignore me lol #ashley rambles #star trek
