Valentine’s Day Willex Style
“Happy Valentine’s day hotdog!”
“But… but!” Alex stuttered as he took the offered package out of Willie’s hands. “You said Valentine’s day wasn’t a real holiday just corporate greed trying to cash in on people’s gullibility.”
“It is.” Willie shrugged, “Doesn’t mean I wasn’t susceptible to the social allure of getting my boyfriend a gift.”
“But,” Alex frowned and looked down at the soft package in his hand, wrapped in newspaper. “I don’t have anything for you.”
“Alex,” Willie reached up and pushed a lock of blond hair out of Alex’s face where it was blocking one of those beautiful blue eyes. “You give me so much everyday just by being in my life.”
“Willie…” Alex whined and grabbed his hand pulling it to his lips for a kiss.
“Ok, enough sap.” Willie blushed pulling his hand away slowly and tapped on the package. “Open it hotdog.”
Alex grinned and quickly ripped open the package to reveal a bright pink hoodie.
“Oh…” Alex gave Willie a tight smile. “It’s pink.”
“Don’t act like you don’t like pink.” Willie laughed, “Open it up hotdog.”
Alex unfolded the hoodie and let out a little squeal of excitement when he saw the smiley face with Xs for eyes and a crooked smile recognizing it instantly as the Nirvana logo from the early nineties.
“Oh my God, I used to have this exact hoodie.” Alex laughed hugging the garment to his chest.”How did you know?”
“I may have had a little help.” Willie grinned. “I remember missing things, especially my favorite clothes, when I died.” He ran a hand down his tie-dyed crop top. “You’re lucky the 90s are back in style.”
Alex tugged on the bottom of Willie’s shirt. “You are timeless.”
“Smooth talker,” Willie laughed then leaned forward to give Alex a soft kiss.
Alex dropped the hoodie and grabbed Willie’s face as he started to pull away pressing their lips together firmly trying to convey everything he could never seem to say, with a kiss.
Willie wrapped his hands around Alex’s back and pulling him closer and kissed him back just as desperately.
This wasn’t their first kiss by a long shot but something about it was different than every one they’d shared before.
The intensity of the kiss rose like a wave in the ocean till it finally crashed and they both pulled away, neither needing to breathe but out of breath all the same.
“Happy Valentine’s Day to me,” Willie grinned up at Alex.
“Yeah,” Alex panted. “I hope you know…”
“I know Alex.” Willie laid a hand on Alex’s chest right over his heart.
Alex bit his lip and nodded holding Willie’s gaze for a long moment before bending down and picking up the hoodie he’d dropped on the floor in his rush to kiss his boyfriend.
Willie watched as Alex stripped off his ever present pink hoodie and slid the new one on over his bowie t-shirt in one smooth motion.
“Let’s go out,” Alex said and Willie jerked his eyes up from the slice of abdomen that had been tantalizing him as Alex changed.
“What did you have in mind hotdog?” Willie bit his lip, a blush growing on his cheeks knowing Alex noticed him looking.
Alex reached for Willie’s hand lacing their fingers together. “Take me dancing? I’d take you but I have no idea where to go.”
Willie grinned and laughed. “I can do that.”
“Happy Valentine’s Day Willie.”
“Happy Valentine’s Day Alex.”

So once upon a time I had plans to write an office romance willex au but I don't think I ever will finish this so I'm throwing out the first part for today's Willex Wednesday because I still like it.
☕️
Willie was late. That, in itself, was not a new experience though this time it was not at all his fault that his flight into New York City had been delayed. The one time he had really tried to be on time, too.
He was still panting a little when the elevator doors opened on the 49th floor and spewed him into yet another hallway that looked identical to every other hallway he had encountered in this damn building. He took a few tentative steps to the right and stopped abruptly, consulting the crumpled printout in his hand for the room number yet again. He was so focused on trying to find the damn thing within the small print of the email that he smacked right into someone as he started moving again.
“Ah, fuck,” the person muttered.
Willie looked up, a string of apologies already on his lips when he realised that the person he had run into was a) gorgeous and b) patting at the coffee stain on his very white shirt. Or rather, formerly white shirt.
“Shit, I’m so sorry!”
Willie’s hands fluttered around a bit uselessly but at least he had checked the impulse to touch the stranger just in time.
Normally, guys in suits weren’t really his thing but this one was tall and handsome in a very cute way and when he lifted his gaze and smiled sheepishly at Willie, saying he should have paid more attention, too, Willie was struck by the blue of his eyes and very white teeth.
And when the guy’s words came to a stuttering halt as he looked at Willie, eyes widening slightly, Willie couldn’t hold back a smile of his own because maybe he was lucky and the guy wouldn’t mind too much that Willie had caused him to spill his coffee. He hadn’t come here to flirt but he definitely wouldn’t hesitate if the opportunity presented itself.
“I’m really sorry about your coffee and your shirt, man!” He stretched out his hand. “I’m Willie, by the way.”
“I … uhm,” handsome suit guy swallowed, looked down at Willie’s hand, then at his own, and finally shifted the empty mug into his left hand and wiped the few spilled drops of coffee on his already spoiled shirt so he could shake Willie’s hand. He had a nice, firm grip, and yes, Willie did notice that he had very nice hands, too.
“Alex,” his handsome stranger said, somewhat belatedly and Willie was grinning again.
“Say, Alex, can you point me to … uh,” he consulted the printed email once more, “room A38? I was supposed to be there like an hour ago but my flight got delayed and this building is a maze …” he rolled his eyes and shrugged.
“Oh!” The guy huffed out a laugh. “Are you William Ortega by any chance?”
Willie narrowed his eyes. “Yeah ….?”
“Great, yeah, we’ve been waiting for you but we heard the flight got delayed so, no problem! I’m Alex Mercer, one of the external IT consultants on this project?”
“Oh, cool!” Willie laughed. “So I ran into the right person at least! Again, I’m really sorry.”
Alex waved his apology away.
“I haven’t checked into my hotel yet so I actually got my luggage with me and can change into a fresh shirt, so don’t worry about it. Here, let me show you to the room.”
Once they reached A38, Alex introduced him to his two colleagues, Luke Patterson and Reginald Peters, both of whom seemed friendly and easy going, and Willie was happy to see Julie and Flynn again, with whom he’d worked on another project in the past.
Alex walked over to his suitcase and Willie was only slightly distracted by his gorgeous long legs and how well his suit pants were fitted to his equally gorgeous ass. He was suddenly looking forward to this IT project a lot more than he’d previously thought.
A new shirt extracted from his neatly packed luggage, Alex got up again and announced he’d just go change real quick and then they could start, and Willie didn’t even try not to think about Alex changing his shirt in the bathroom cubicle. But to make up for his lustful daydreaming about a guy he hardly knew, and because he still felt guilty, he offered to fetch a new coffee for Alex.
“It’s the least I can do and I can get one for myself, so win-win.” He grinned.
Alex smiled gratefully.
“Yeah, uhm, that’d be nice.” He bit his lip. “With milk and two sugars please…”
He looked like he’d just admitted to watching porn at work and it was adorable.
Willie beamed at him. “Milk and two sugars, got it!”

Late Night Willie and Alex are on the street and they're walking together and bc the street has almost no cars, Willie decided is a good idea to skate on the middle of the street and Alex tells him to stop bc its too dangerous bc thwre are passing cars. Willie ignores and more cars start passing so Alex tries to get him but they lose balance and fall together and Alex is like "you're a nightmare!" And Willie is like "but I'm your nightmare" and they kiss. And a car honks towwards them so they scramble and run off to the sidewalk.

Happy early birthday! How about bed sharing prompt #8 for willex?
(Thanks Anon!! Part of why it took a while to post this was to get it closer to my actual birthday 😅)
Also for:
@floating-in-the-blue: Can I request 8 (Whispering "Oh you are going to be very embarrassed when you wake up.") for willex please? @onlygenxhere : Bed sharing list. Oh it IS a good list. How about #8. Whispering "Oh you are going to be very embarrassed when you wake up." Maybe for Willex Wednesday if you're inspired that quickly?
Willie knew Alex was going to be late, he had a gig tonight. One Willie was unable to make due to a conflicting shift at the club. It’s why he wasn’t initially worried when he returned to an empty house.
No, the worry came later after a few hours of mindless binging, with no sign of Alex. No message or call. No note of any kind.
After thoroughly checking the fridge and kitchen counters (the usual best bets for notes to be left) and checking his phone several times over still with no luck, Willie decided he needed to go out and look for him.
He’d barely gotten his shoes back on when there was knocking at his door. He was ready to tell off whoever it was on his own way out except, he heard the tell tale sign of a key sliding into the lock. Closely followed by the door being practically thrown open, some loud shushing noises and Alex giggling.
“Alex?” Willie cried out as he dashed toward the front door, greeted by the sight of Alex shushing their front door between giggles as Luke helped support his weight. It didn’t take long to see why, the brand new cast encasing Alex’s leg.  “Dude, what happened?”
“Wheels!” Alex threw himself at Willie, who just barely managed to catch him. Thankfully, Luke also still had a pretty good grip on him. Even if Alex seemed to have entirely forgotten Luke’s presence with the way he was pressing his face into Willie’s neck. “I missed you.”
“Sorry, he’s never been good with pain meds. ‘Specially not the good stuff.” Luke said through an apologetic smile. Willie had heard all of them say that about Alex before but this was his first time actually seeing it. And truth be told, if Alex stayed this cuddly he didn’t really mind.
“You still haven’t said what happened.”
Luke bit at his bottom lip, his eyes suddenly danced with a guilt tinged mirth, as if he wanted to burst out laughing but didn’t think he should. “It was after we finished getting all the instruments back in the studio. Reggie and I were rough housing and he said…something smart assy about us hurting ourselves.”
Luke furrowed his brow like he was trying to remember but Willie would bet good money he hadn’t been paying any attention to begin with to hear it in the first place. Though he still hadn’t said how exactly Alex had hurt himself, Willie cleared his throat, and Luke refocused.
“Anyway, He got fed up and said he was going to wait out in the van and totally wiped out on his way.”
“Really?”
“Yep.” Luke said, that guilty tinged jovial look making a lot more sense now, as Willie could feel it reflecting on his own face.
“All right then,” Willie said with a shake of his head, fully taking Alex from Luke and thanking him for his help.
When Willie finally got the two of them settled in for bed he was finally able to sit and process everything Luke had said about how Alex had hurt himself. Certain throughout the evening, with all the dancing he was bound to have done, there had been other more obvious times he could have broken his leg. And yet, he’d managed it with a single snark-filled misstep.
“Oh, you are going to be very embarrassed when you wake up,” Willie spoke into Alex’s hair, as his breathing slowly evened out, with the slightest hint of a snore.

I can't believe I used to hate this chapter... I'M SO EXCITED TO SHARE IT!!! I hope y'all love it!
Chapter 10/16, preview below ⬇️ (yes, the chapter count went up!)
FIC WARNINGS: (take effect in ch 11) Original Character Death, Missing Child, Child Death, Drowning (heed all tags on ao3)
FIC SUMMARY: Julie and Reggie form a deep friendship after meeting through their brothers (“We’re FRIENDS! Stop making it weird!”). He and his friends (and bandmates) help bring her out of the fog of grief, reconnecting her with the music that she’d thought she’d lost with her mother. Over the course of a summer, the tables turn and Julie finds herself showing up for Reggie in ways that they could have never expected.
CHAPTER RELATIONSHIPS: Julie & Luke & Reggie & Alex & Bobby & Flynn, Julie & Flynn, Julie & Reggie, pre-Alex/Willie
CHAPTER OPENING SCENES:
After several very long, very extensive conversations, the boys decide to ask Ray if he would be willing to be their collective stand-in guardian until they were all of age and he agreed, with several conditions (including but not limited to Julie continuing to prioritize school and the boys maintaining their own moderate to good standings so that they could graduate). He also offered to reach out to some of Rose’s old contacts to hunt down a trusted lawyer and get a feel for how they felt about Andi and her label. Everything was falling into place.
After they agree to having Andi represent them, including Flynn as an integral part of their team, they’re planning for another showcase. And, it’s at the Orpheum.
Luke is diving deep into perfecting songs and set lists to keep himself distracted from how huge this is. Flynn expands their social media presence, their personal and the official band accounts. They’re recording and sharing behind the scenes content and sneak peak snippets of what they’re working on as well as promoting the upcoming show directly. Sunset Curve’s pre-existing fans overwhelmingly throw their support behind Julie and the Phantoms and the uploads of their two previous performances are doing incredibly well on YouTube. Julie, Reggie, Alex, and Bobby roll as best they can with everything the other two throw at them.
Before they know it, it’s time to load up and head over to the Orpheum. Up until now, their performances have all felt relatively low stakes and while they’re all trying to treat it just like any other gig, the tell-tale signs of their nerves are peeking through. Once they’ve made it through sound check, they wind up pacing, bouncing, and fidgeting in the green room and after only a few moments in their presence, Flynn snaps.
“Y’all need to chill the fuck out. You’re making ME nervous!”
Julie glares at them and they put their hands up in defense.
“You know I’m right. Go for a walk. Get some air! Something.”
Julie huffs out a breath but complies, gathering the guys and taking them outside for a breather.
The fresh air and slight energy release helps and they manage to make it to the stage no worse for wear to put on a show they’ve come to expect from themselves.
The crowd absolutely loves them and Julie finishes the final notes of their final song with her arm raised in triumph and tears running down her face. The boys exchange concerned looks as they join her to bow, signaling the end of the set. She manages to get offstage before breaking down completely and the boys are right behind her to catch her before she collapses onto the floor. They look at one another over her head as they wrap her up into a group hug, uttering comforting phrases as they hold her.
Ray comes running backstage, “what happened? What’s wrong? Mija, are you ok?”
The boys back away, letting Ray see his daughter but they don’t stray too far. Reggie keeps his arms wrapped around her. She starts gulping for air through her sobbing. Ray rushes the rest of the way up to them and lowers himself to look her in the eyes. Or the close approximation of it, if they’d been open.
“Julie, mija, can you hear me?” Ray asks her gently.
She nods.
He looks up at Reggie who nods at him and starts modeling deep breathing for her.
“Follow Reggie’s breaths,” Ray tells her and guides her through them verbally.
The first few are shaky but it doesn’t take long until her breathing is synced with Reggie’s.
“Can we take you to sit down?” Ray asks.
She clutches at Reggie’s shirt desperately.
“I won’t let you go,” Reggie whispers to her. “Promise.”
She nods then. The boys and Ray quickly glance around the space to see where they can take her. They’ve barely made it off the stage and are still in the wings. The boys are still hovering, concerned, but they know better than to get in anyone’s way and aren’t willing to leave Julie if they don’t have to.
“There!” Luke points to a set of speaker cases.
Ray and Reggie slowly direct Julie toward them and Reggie guides her so that she’s sitting beside him on the largest one. Flynn, who had joined them at some point, hands Julie a bottle of water and backs up to join the boys. She struggles to open it, holding it out silently and Reggie grabs it to twist off the lid and hand it back to her, his arms still wrapped around her as promised. She manages to take a few sips and holds it out again. This time Ray takes it and grabs the lid from Reggie, resealing it and setting it down as he crouches to look at her.
“Mija, what happened?”
“She should be here,” Julie sobs and Reggie tightens his arms around her.
Ray wraps both of them in a hug of his own. “You’re right, she should,” he agrees. “She’d be so, so proud of you. I’m so proud of you.”
Reggie’s eyes are now filled with tears and he sniffles.
“Well great, now you’ve got me,” Alex chastises him wetly, eliciting a chuckle from Reggie, Ray, and Julie. She lifts her head to look at the others and waves them over. They don’t think twice and swoop in to wrap the trio into a massive group hug. It’s a little awkward, navigating around all of the equipment, but it’s perfect for right now.
“I love you guys,” Julie whispers.
Everyone who can reach places a kiss on her head. “We love you too,” they chorus.

Ill Met by Moonlight
The summer solstice celebration happens every year on the week before the solstice, one week of partying, eating too much food, and staying out too late. At least that's what it is for most people, but most people forget that the origins of the celebration go much deeper than that, back to the fae, and what one can find if they wander too far down the wrong path.
Or, royalty/fae au.

When a Soulmate Goose showed up, Alex didn't say anything. Well, that's not true. He said 'aaaargh' and 'oh got stop hissing at me!' and several other things. But when his parents handed him the keys to his older sister's car (the one she abandoned when she left for college, swearing to never return to their 'backward, podunk little town'), he didn't argue when they said something like 'go get your girl'.
Instead, he hastily packed a bag, grabbing the tote bag full of snacks his mother prepared for him and a wad of cash his father handed him, and set off, only swerving a little bit when he realised the goose - which he had definitely not let into the car - was in the back seat already.
Because Alex knew, just like his sister knew when she got her scholarship, that this was his chance to get out. Get out of their small town, with its prying eyes and judgemental stares. Get out before he could stop finding excuses why he didn't want to date the pastor's daughter, she has her eye on you Alex, and she's Good People. Get out before he had to come out, would be cast out.
So angry hissing waterfowl aside, he was actually pretty relieved. Even though the drive was a lot longer than he expected. Even though he had to sleep in the parking lot of a motel more than once because they didn't allow geese -soulmate enforcers or not - into the rooms. At least Geraldine was a pretty good deterrent from being robbed.
They worked out a system. Geraldine wouldn't bite him if he fed her parts of his meals and snacks. She's honk when he needed to take an exit, but wouldn't flap her wings at him while he was driving, after he nearly ran off the road. She let him take breaks and pit stops as long as he kept going in the direction she wanted to. And honestly, she liked Whitney Houston just as much as he did, and was a pretty good listener.
He was a little surprised they ended up in LA. He'd imagined going to a big city, but not like, one of The Big Cities. He gaped at the Hollywood sign until Geraldine did nip his ankles, and he started walking again. And walking. He got chased on a bus, their previous pact of food-for-civility apparently broken, but the bus driver was kind enough to just laugh at him and let him take a seat when he didn't have enough money or any idea where he was going. (Maybe Geraldine knew what she was doing.)
They ended up at the beach. He'd never seen the beach before, but Geraldine didn't let him enjoy it. Not like the other views. Instead, she herded him along the board walk, towards a skate park, and right into the path of a guy holding a small bouquet of pink and blue flowers.
"No way," the boy said, as Geraldine happily sat on top of his skateboard as they untangled. "The carnival fortune teller was totally right. I did fall for a beautiful blond fairytale prince today at sunset. You even have an animal sidekick."
"Oh you fell, alright," Alex snapped, before realising what the guy had said. He wanted to say something else, but then the boy took off his helmet, and a wave of beautiful long hair spilled out, and his entire brain blue screened.
Geraldine honked smugly, just once, before disappearing in a flash of green. He didn't even get a chance to thank her, but he was pretty sure she knew anyway.

Cross my heart and hope to die (again)
Prompt: "Are you laughing at me?" - "Yeah, I am. What are you going to do about it?"
“I like you,” Alex blurts out, and Willie blinks at him, surprised. He should say something. But he’s too stunned.
Meanwhile, his silence spurns Alex on. Suddenly, he’s pacing.
“A lot,” he confesses, arms flailing wildly as he strides up and down. “And I don’t know. Maybe I’m reading into things. But sometimes, it feels like … like you like … me too.” He utters the last words in one breath, and then he stops, looking at Willie. He’s anxious – of course he is – but there is a glint of hope in his eyes.
At this point, Willie really should say something. But he doesn’t. He just stares back at Alex, blinking hard.
The hopeful shimmer in Alex’s eyes douses, and his face crumbles. He resumes pacing, spluttering incoherent words. By now, Alex is a rambling mess. And Willie thinks it’s adorable. But also incredibly funny.
So, Willie finally snaps out of his shock, throws his head back, and laughs. It’s a full belly laugh. He’s even clutching his sides.
Alex freezes mid-step, his head whips around, and he stares at Willie, dumbfounded.
“Are you … Are you laughing at me?”
“Yeah,” Willie says, wheezing. It takes him a moment to catch his breath. “Yeah, I am, hotdog.” Still chuckling, he raises a challenging eyebrow. His lips curve into a smirk. “What are you going to do about it?”
Alex’s face flushes. At the same time, he pales. He looks like he’s about to die. Again.
It would have been hilarious, but Willie feels a twinge of guilt. He shouldn’t be messing with Alex. This confession – it must have taken him a lot of courage. And here he is, unable to say it back because he’s an idiot. Man, he really has to get his shit together.
Willie huffs, frustrated with himself.
“Alex, I’m so—,” he begins just as Alex surges forward, pressing his lips to Willie’s mouth.
Willie’s heart stopped beating multiple decades ago. But right now, he swears he can feel it in his chest, pounding wildly against his rips. There’s blood rushing in his ears. He hasn’t felt that alive in ages. He wishes the feeling to last forever.
Then, his brain kicks in again. With reinstated bravado, Willie’s arms snake around Alex’s waist, pulling him closer. They both smile into the kiss.
Later, when they eventually break apart again, Willie doesn’t let go of Alex. He keeps him close. They both gasp for air, even though they don’t need to breathe anymore, and Willie feels a gentle warmth blossoming on his cheeks.
Alex’s blush is more prominent. His face has turned a dark shade of crimson. He’s nervous again, fingers drumming against his thighs. But there’s a hint of a smile playing on his lips.
“So,” he asks, eyes alight again. “You do like me, huh?”
And this Willie doesn’t laugh. His grip on Alex tightens, pulling him impossibly closer. His nose brushed against Alex’s.
“Yes, hotdog, I like you. A lot.”
And then he dives in for another kiss.

After getting kissed by Prince Alexander exactly once and then getting ghosted, Willie is more than happy to have the opportunity to corner Alex at a White House state dinner some weeks later to express how very much he would like to kiss Alex again and to then do very bad things to him. After dinner of course. Luckily, Alex gets with the programme and Willie gets to do bad things.

If Caleb can fly i believe Willie should be able to learn how to float too.
Imagine, Alex is holding Willie's hands and Alex kisses him, and he bents his head a little bc Alex is slightly taller than Willie, but then he notices Willie moving forward so he's like "oh, he's standing on his tiptoes, he's so cute." But Willie keeps moving until he's definitely taller than Alex, so he stops and looks at Willie and his feet aren't even touching the ground and he's just like "whoopsie.. Guess i got lost in the moment" and Alex is like "you can float??? This entire time you could float?" And Willie replies "yep :)"
