Digimon fanfic chapter 6 draft
Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Andrew was fighting not to let his temper get the best of him, but it seemed like a losing battle at this rate. What should have been a simple mission to retrieve the second of two artifacts needed for his plan to work was proving incredibly frustrating. Apparently back when the Digital World was returning to its correct state after being twisted into Spiral Mountain, the artifact had ended up underneath a rather large city. The dwellers of the city had rejected Andrew’s perfectly reasonable offer to relocate and allow excavation to begin in exchange for a better city once he had begun his new world order. Thus, Andrew had no choice but to order the D-Brigade to drive them out and begin excavating by force. Unfortunately, the local Digimon had proved illogically attached to the place and quite a few of them were of the Ultimate level, making what should have been a decisive victory into a painful campaign of the D-Brigade defending the excavation site against the attackers.
“When the D-Brigade approached me with an offer of an alliance,” he said to the assembled officers, assembled here during a lull in the fighting, “I never would have thought that the greatest army in the Digital World would be delayed this long by civilians.” He emphasized the last word to really irritate the officers, knowing they wouldn’t try to speak out. He was the D-Brigade’s client and to the Brigade, the client’s word is law. After giving the brigaders a few seconds to stew, Andrew demanded a situation report.
“Captain Hi-Commandramon 8A5 reporting sir,” one of the soldiers spoke up. “The enemy’s numbers are vastly reduced, but the survivors are regrouping to the west. We believe they are preparing for a final strike. The excavation is expected to finish soon, but we will have to pull workers away to defend against the next strike.”
“Fine,” said Andrew, even though the news of yet another delay infuriated him. “But this is the last time. I want those Digimon exterminated today. Dismissed!” He turned and left the meeting before anyone could object.
“Will we be joining the fight?” Asked Green. Andrew’s partner Digimon had become much more quiet and driven in recent weeks. That suited Andrew just fine.
“Of course we are. I want this done right.”
What happened next was Andrew’s least favorite part. Waiting. He craved action, progress, anything other than waiting. He was so close to the power that would let him build his new world and yet he was forced to wait instead. It was infuriating. Over an hour later, something finally happened when the D-Brigade sounded the alarm. The attack was coming.
“Finally! Let’s go, Green.”
Green nodded. “On it.”
Dracomon Digivolve to… Coredramon! Coredramon Digivolve to… Groundramon!
Andrew rode the colossal dragon into the battle. Little was left of the city, the mismatched buildings and wide boulevards having been reduced to rubble and crater-strewn fields. Green knocked a few of the skeletal building frames down as he charged through the city, his sheer size rendering him unable to maneuver around them, if he even wanted to. The sound of gunfire led the pair to the battle. Cresting a ridge, Andrew gazed down on the battle to see…
“That’s it?” The Hi-Commandramon had said that the enemy’s forces were reduced, but Andrew was certainly expecting more than this. There were barely a dozen of them. Two were Ultimates, yes, but there was no way they could stand up against the D-Brigade’s forces. They would be slaughtered.
“They couldn’t have thought they’d win. Why bother attacking if they’re just going to die?” Andrew asked in genuine confusion.
“What could be more noble than to die in defiance of injustice?” asked an unknown voice.
“Who’s there?” Green’s voice boomed out, his long neck twisting to look around him.
There before them, a tornado of fire appeared from nowhere. After a moment, the fire dissipated. Standing in a scorched circle of earth was a Digimon in the shape of a human man, tiny compared to Green. It was adorned in silver, shimmering armor, a deep, purple cape, and a pointed hat. In one hand was a sword and the other clutched a crystal ball. Andrew recognized it. Mistymon, the apparent leader of the city’s forces and a major thorn in Andrew’s side.
Green growled, the sheer volume vibrating the rubble around him, but Mistymon did not strike. Instead, it spoke again. “We know we cannot win against you and your army. We know we will die. But we will die standing. For as long as anyone in the Digital World is willing to stand, people like you will never win and justice will prevail.”
Green’s growling increased in volume and his muscles tensed, clearly eager to jump into the fight, but he waited for Andrew to give the word. Though the dragon had grown much more violent and eager to fight since their return to the Digital World, Green obeyed Andrew without question.
“Justice is what this is all about,” Andrew said. “I will gain the power to control both worlds and I will correct every injustice by force.”
“Where is the justice in coming to a place of peace and demanding its people leave?” asked Mistymon. “Where is the justice in slaughtering the innocent when they stand in defense of the homes they loved and the community they built?”
“If you had just taken me up on my offer none of this would have happened. This is on you,” Andrew shot back.
Mistymon’s voice finally cracked, losing its tone of calm and letting the anger within show. “Your justice is false! You claim to correct injustice but commit atrocities to do so? You are just another tyrant, and like all tyrants you shall fall! If not by my hand, then another! Now come! I will fight your tyranny until my deletion!” Mistymon’s sword burst into flames at it pointed the blade at Andrew in challenge.
Green roared, understanding Andrew’s unspoken command. He charged forward like an earthquake, rushing at the other Digimon. Both of his massive clawed wings shot down, going for the kill, but Mistymon leapt into the air, avoiding the blow.
“Core Dart!” Mistymon’s crystal ball burst into flames and shot forward, aiming not toward Green, but toward Andrew.
“Green!” Andrew yelled, but his partner was already moving. Green leapt to one side to avoid the flaming projectile, but it adjusted its trajectory, once again targeting the human. Green was forced once again to move. Impossibly nimble for his size, he turned around so the call was coming at him from the front.
“Scrapless Claw!” Both of Green’s massive arm-wings slammed together, the crystal ball between them. His strength crushed the projectile to dust, but not without cost. Wis claws parted again, each had a large, circular burn scar where the flaming sphere had been crushed.
“Blast Fire!” The Mistymon leapt onto Green’s back and embedded its flaming sword to the hilt in the base of one of his wings. The limb went limp as Green roared in pain. Not wasting a moment, Mistymon pulled its sword out and charged right at Andrew. Andrew threw his hands in front of him, a reflex that would be utterly useless against an Ultimate-level Digimon, and gritted his teeth, convinced he was about to die.
Green reacted before Mistymon’s sword could reach his target. His remaining wing slammed into the ground, the force spinning him over in an airborne barrel roll. Andrew, in tune with his partner, was able to grab onto the edges of a scale the size of a manhole cover just in time. Mistymon was not so lucky and was sent hurtling to the ground. Having come full circle, Green landed on his feet and shot forward, getting into position.
“Megaton Hammer Crush!” The massive mace that tipped Green’s tail slammed down on the prone Mistymon with enough force to knock down any of the building remnants that still remained standing. Green turned around, allowing him and Andrew to see the broken body of Mistymon lying in the newly-created crater. It’s mouth cracked open just long enough to speak.
“You will never win.” With that, Mistymon’s body dissolved into data and it was gone.
Green lowered himself into a crouch, allowing Andrew to slide off his back and onto the ground. As soon as the human’s feet touched the ground, Green collapsed and de-Digivolved back into Dracomon.
“Are you going to be ok?” There was no concern in Andrew’s voice, none of the love that there should be between a DigiDestined and their partner. To him, Green was another asset, nothing more.
Green winced and examined the wound on his back, the remnant of where Mistymon had stabbed him. “I’ll heal.”
“Good,” said Andrew, before his attention was drawn away. Three flares shot into the sky, a D-Brigade signal. All three were blue. Victory.
Three hours later, Andrew stood along the edge of the massive pit the Brigade had dug into what was once a city center and grinned. Finally.
“Your orders, sir?” Asked a Hi-Commandramon. Andrew couldn’t be bothered to remember which one.
“Hook it up to a Cargodramon and prepare to head back to base,” Andrew said, his voice full of glee. “We finally found it.”
“Andrew?” Green asked, returning from the D-Brigade medical tent with his wound patched.
Andrew glazed at his partner, then turned his gaze back to his prize. “There it is, Green. The data remnant of a Dark Master. And now it’s finally mine.”
Green looked down into the pit to see D-Brigade members already hard at work strapping cables to the artifact they had fought this small war for. Even in this state, the severed claw of Machinedramon looked deadly.
--------
Blue, in his Wingdramon form, once again flew over the desert with three humans and one foul-mouthed Digimon in his arms. Clark had estimated that this would be the last full day of flight before reaching the edge of the desert and finally finding the Subroutine Jungle. He hadn’t said much else this morning. He was too busy arguing with himself.
You haven’t been to this part of the desert in a long time, one part of him said. You couldn’t have known that a lunatic Bombermon would claim the place for itself in the last few months.
You let everyone down again, countered another part. Once again you put everyone in danger by camping in a Digimon’s territory and Tsukaimon and Keiko had to bail you out again.
Clark was shaken out of his thoughts by Blue’s voice. “Something’s coming towards us. Fast.”
Clark looked up, but it took him a few seconds to spot what the Ultimate-level Digimon’s superior eyesight had. A black speck in the distant sky that was growing larger.
An enemy? It could be some wild Digimon, but it’s best to play it safe. There’s no way the D-Brigade will leave us alone after we defied their orders and killed a Cargodramon. Still, why would they only send one soldier after us?
“Change course,” Clark yelled to be heard over the rushing wind.
Blue obliged, tilting his wings to fly to the left. The thing in the distance changed course as well, aiming directly towards them. That settled it, this thing was coming after them.
“Set us down!”
Blue obliged, arcing downward to the desert. He dropped his passengers in a field of stone arches that were coated with Christmas lights.
“You think that thing’s coming for us? Asked Daniel.
“Gotta be,” replied Clark. “Get ready for a fight.”
“Alright, Keiko, let’s do this,” Tsukaimon said to her partner. Keiko nodded and held up her Digivice.
Tsukaimon Digivolve to… Witchmon! Witchmon Digivolve to… Bastemon!
The two Ultimate-level Digimon ran forward, leaving the humans safely behind. Between the two of them,

--------
Clark didn’t recognize the Digimon as it flew close enough to be seen. It was long-tailed humanoid and mostly mechanical, though flesh was visible through the joints and a shock of red hair indicated it was actually a cyborg. Its body was covered in black and deep blue armor, accented with yellow. From its back extended wings of light and on its right arm was a mechanical lance. The Digimon came to a hover and seemed to examine Blue and Bastemon, before turning its head to look at the humans.

“Listen, big boy, just go on your way and we won’t give you trouble,” Bastemon shouted toward the hovering Digimon, which looked back at her.
“Do you think he’s gonna leave us alone?” asked Blue.
The Digimon suddenly jerked, its motion unnatural. A half second of that concluded with it roaring at the top of its lungs.
“Does that answer your question?” Bastemon leapt forward at the Digimon, claws at the ready.
“Dark Roar!” From the enemy Digimon’s mouth spewed forth inky black spheres. Blue’s wings flared out and he lifted up in the air to avoid them, while Bastemon was forced to twist awkwardly to avoid being hit. The orbs impacted the rocky desert floor and kept going, seemingly deleting the matter they hit and leaving behind tunnels extending downward into the earth.
“Holy-! Blue, do not let that hit you!” Bastemon yelled. Her heart had skipped a beat realizing that if she hadn’t managed to dodge just in time there would now be a massive hole right through her chest. Digimon were born for battle, but she had never been as close to death as she was right then. What was this Digimon?
Blue flew high in the sky, the enemy’s head tracking his movement. “Blaze Sonic Breath!” A lance of superheated fire burst forth from his mouth at the enemy- who suddenly wasn’t there anymore.
“Gigastick Lance.” Blue’s eyes widened and he shot forward, leaving a sonic boom in his wake. The Digimon had somehow gotten right behind him and stabbed at him with that lance. Only going supersonic had saved him from being impaled and the force of the Digimon’s blow left a crater in the ground hundreds of feet below from nothing but wind shear. Blue circled around and looked at the dark Digimon. It was hovering in place, head clutched in its left hand.

--------
“Hey, Blue! Down here!”
Blue flew down to the desert where Bastemon was calling for him, making sure to keep an eye on the mysterious Digimon, who was still clutching its head and twitching oddly.
“Alright, while that guy’s doing whatever he’s doing, we need a plan,” Bastemon said
Blue nodded. “It’s stronger than us. That must mean…” He didn’t finish his sentence, but both of them knew what he meant. A Digimon strong enough to nearly kill two Ultimate-levels without getting hurt could only be one of the legendary Mega-level Digimon. Mega-levels had the power to save the worlds or destroy them. And now one was trying to kill them.
Bastemon broke the silence. “First off, I need a lift. Not being able to fly in this form is killing me. And we’ll need to be fast. We can’t let that thing hit us-”
She had barely finished saying the word when Blue went supersonic again, grabbing her and pulling her out of the way as the enemy’s lance buried itself in the ground where the two had just been standing. It’s head whipped around toward them and unleashed another Dark Roar, forcing Blue to weave between the orbs of dark matter.
“Looks like someone’s got his head in the game,” said Bastemon as she clambered onto Blue’s back for a better vantage point. “Can you get me in close? I’m not too good at range.”
“I’ll try,” said Blue. “Blaze Sonic Breath!”
The enemy Digimon easily dodged the stream of fire, but it was followed by another, and another. Not intended to hit the enemy, but to keep it dodging long enough to close the distance.
Another sonic boom rattled the desert as Blue went supersonic again, shooting by the enemy while it was still dodging lances of flame. Bastemon leapt from his back with a cry of “Vampire Dance!” and slashed out with her claws. The enemy raised its arms in defense, Bastemon’s claws cutting ruts into them but falling to pierce its armor. Bastemon flipped over the Digimon’s head and grabbed onto its back.
“Vampire Amethyst! The jewelry that adorned Bastemon’s figure glowed and began pulling energy out of the enemy, causing it to stagger.
“Explode Sonic Lance!” Blue’s lance slammed into the enemy’s chestpiece and the dark Digimon roared in pain. Blue retreated and began another strike, but the Digimon’s left hand shot forward, grabbing onto his lance. It twisted in midair and released its grasp. Blue’s momentum became his enemy, leaving him unable to stop before slamming into the ground.
Before Blue could get up, the enemy took flight, zooming toward one of the many arches. Bastemon’s eyes widened as she realized what it was doing. It would pass under the arch but she, clinging to its back, would impact the solid stone at high speed. Cursing, Bastemon deactivated her drain and leapt, clearing the stone arch. Before she could land, the Digimon flew up in front of her, its tail lashing out and wrapping around her neck. Powerful muscles flexed. Choking off her ability to breathe and slamming her to the ground. The enemy flew forward, dragging Bastemon along the ground, moving away from Blue.
Shit, he’s going for Keiko and the others! Bastemon needed to act and now. She focused all the energy her Vampire Amethyst attack had drained into one claw and slashed. An instant later, the tail around her neck fell loose and she skidded to a stop as the enemy roared in pain. Bastemon stumbled to her feet and realized her attack had severed its tail.
“Oi, there’s plenty more where that came from!” Despite Bastemon’s words, she was wearing out fast. The only thing she could think to do was buy time. Time for Keiko and the others to get away. Please, Keiko. Just run away.
The enemy turned to face her and Bastemon raised her claws in challenge. It began to charge, but suddenly stopped and grabbed its head.

“Vampire dance!” Bastemon wasn’t going to let this opportunity slip by. Her flurry of slashes left scars in the enemy’s armor as it made no attempt to defend itself. Strange though, she didn’t recall hitting it in the face at all and yet it had three jagged slash marks there. Another strike was interrupted by the enemy suddenly grabbing her arm and flipping her over into a rock.
“Blaze Sonic Breath!” Blue’s flaming breath slammed into the enemy’s back, quickly followed by several more. The dragon was back, dented, but ready to fight. Bastemon pulled herself into a standing position and made one more slash, but the enemy grabbed her by the throat and whirled around, holding her between it and Blue.
“No!” exclaimed Blue, but it was too late. A burst of flame, already in flight, slammed into Bastemon’s stomach. She screamed, then went limp. The enemy tossed her aside, then shot upwards, flying toward Blue.
“Gigastick Lance!” Blue tried to fly to the left, but the enemy’s mighty lance caught his wing and shredded through it like paper. Blue bellowed in pain and began to fall, but the enemy grabbed his tail and spun, building up momentum before hurling him to the ground. Blue landed headfirst next to the prone body of Bastemon. This was quickly followed by the enemy landing on his body with an impact that echoed throughout the desert.
The enemy stood over the prone bodies of the two Digimon, watching as they began to glow and de-Digivolved back to their Rookie levels. It raised its lance, ready to land the finishing blow when-
“Blue!” “Tsukaimon!” Daniel and Kaiko ran out from cover, tears streaming down their faces. Clark followed them, swearing.
“No, Don’t” Blue croaked out.
“Run away, you idiots,” Tsukaimon said weakly. The humans didn’t listen. They came closer, despite the danger, knowing there was nothing they could do. But they came anyway, because their partners needed them.
The enemy glanced at the humans, but turned its attention back to the Digimon. Then, its head twisted oddly, wrenching around to look at one of them. Its mouth opened and out came a strange, distorted noise.
“Cccllaaaarrrrr-”

That voice. It can’t be… Clark stared at the enemy, who was standing frozen, looking directly at him. But the voice, the voice was a dead ringer for him. For Commandramon 1G1. For his partner. And those scars. Three across the snout, going from upper left to lower right. The scars that Commandramon had gotten leaping between Clark and an angry Digimon. The scars that refused to heal no matter what treatment he was given.
The enemy Digimon twitched unnaturally, then turned toward the children. All three stood there, helpless as it raised its lance at them, ready to snuff out their young lives in an instant. The lance shot forward and Clark made a leap of faith.
-----
STOP
------
The tip of the lance hovered a fraction of a millimeter from Clark’s chest. He had leapt in front of Daniel and Keiko, arms outstretched, and it worked.
“It’s you, isn’t it,” he said, his voice more vulnerable than it had been in years. “Commandramon.”
The Digimon collapsed to its knees, the nightmare that had seconds ago been trying to kill them all now looking lost and vulnerable. “Clark, I’m sorry,” it said, its voice now softer and sad.
“What did they do to you, man?” Clark asked, on the edge of tears.
“Took control of me. Betrayed me. Made me a monster,” his partner replied. “I tried, but I couldn’t stop myself for long. I don’t know how long I have.”
“It’s ok, man. We’re together again,” Clark stepped forward, placing his hand on that of his partner. “We can fix this.”

Commandramon shot to attention as the thing, the control module began to surge with energy. No. Not now. Not when I just found him again.
“I’m sorry Clark, but I have to go.”
Before his partner could respond, Commandramon shot into the sky, trying to put as much distance between himself and his partner as possible.
Clark. Goodbye.
An explosion ripped through the sky and the body of Clark’s partner’s new form plummeted to the earth where it lay, unmoving. Clark ran to his partner as he de-Digivolved, first to his Rookie form, then further, to a form that looked like a living cartoon bomb with three eyes. Even as Clark fell to his knees, his partner’s body glitched out, distorting, his data leaking away. He wouldn’t last long.
“No, you can’t die,” Clark was openly crying now. “Not after all this. Not after we just found each other again.”
His partner looked at him. With no mouth, he couldn’t say anything, but what could he say? Commandramon, or whatever he was in this form, rolled over, coming to rest against Clark’s hand, and closed his eyes.
Clark picked up his partner, Commandramon now small enough to fit in his hand, and held him. Then his eyes shot open and he put the bomb Digimon down. “I still have it,” he said as he pulled off his backpack and reached in, rummaging down to the depth.
“Found it!” Clark pulled out a dusty Digivice. Its color was gray and muted and the screen showed only static. It had been like this ever since the two parted ways, a symbol of their broken partnership. “Come on, do something,” Clark held his Digivice in one had and his partner in another, praying that something would happen.
The Digivice’s screen flickered, then the static faded. Clark gasped as color blossomed into it and a light shot out from the screen. He turned the light onto Commandramon and watched as the glitches faded from his partner. Commandramon’s eyes shot open as the light faded.
“It worked, oh it worked,” Clark gasped, relief flooding through him. Commandramon’s eyes met his and understanding passed between them. “It’s ok,” Clark said, “Go to sleep. We can catch up when you’re feeling better.”
Commandramon rocked his spherical body in a nod, then closed his eyes. Clark held his partner as Daniel and Keiko, each carrying theirs, caught up to him. For the first time in years, he felt whole again.
-----
General Tankdramon looked as stoic as ever, his well-honed control preventing anyone else from seeing the utter rage that was inside of him. He had watched the whole battle on his screens and participated in it via the control module’s remote function. And yet all he had accomplished was losing an asset and wasting resources.
“How much Digivolution energy do we have stored from the previous experiment?” he snarled at a subordinate, unable to keep the rage from his voice.
If lieutenant Hi-Commandramon 7W12 was startled by his superior’s tone of voice, he was too professional to show it. “Sir! We have enough stored to Digivolve a platoon of Commandramon to Champion, a selection of Hi-Commandramon and Sealsdramon to-”
“Can we Digivolve an Ultimate to Mega?” interrupted the General.
“Yes, I believe so, sir.”
“Then prep the machinery and inform me the second it is ready,” ordered the General. There was still a chance to salvage this operation. The human Andrew had reported his success at claiming the artifact and was en route to Tankdramon’s mobile command center now. As soon as he arrived, the final stage of the plan could begin. All he needed was some time and firepower and everything could be put right.
“Sir, if I may, who is going to be Digivolved?” asked the lieutenant.
General Tankdramon rotated on his treads to look his subordinate in the eye and said one word.
“Me.”

I’ve been playing some Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth lately! I like it! Love these little creatures and dudes. Here’s my main guys so far :) I’ve got the evolutions planned out for the main three (Ouryumon, Slayerdramon and Gaiomon ideally, with proooobably Growlmon > Gigadramon > Megidramon for the Growlmon in the back?)
I’ve gotten to the bit after when you defeat the Eater and that blue haired guy runs off and leaves you. Probably gonna spread playing this game out over the next several days so I don’t get too absorbed lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My best friends forever :) I wish I’d gotten into Digimon as a kid because I would’ve died for these dragon dudes when I was younger (I still would!)
Maybe I’ll get more into Digimon in the future? Might give the anime a try, as well as some more games.
EDIT: Getting into the Ultimate/Perfect levels now! Some of my favourite guys!! I’ve still yet to get a Gigadramon just for now but I got a Megadramon out of Biyomon>Airdramon :)

You know considering the alternate mega shenanigans in the Digimon Adventure reboot I have proposed an alternate mega for Flynn’s Veemon
Tumblr media
There’s no Vishnumon so Shivamon is the closest we’ll get. It’s colors also fit with the rest of the line. The main mega evo is still Alphamon though. Honestly the only reason I didn’t propose Shivamon sooner is because I’m like “that’s Shiva not Vishnu”, but god knows when we’ll get a Vishnu Digimon.

For the ask game: I wish you would write a fic where the KHUX cast were Digimon tamers/chosen children (since I know you ALSO like both franchises, haha).
Oho, this is a fun idea
First thing that comes to mind is Ventus with a meicoomon. Powerful but small? Has a "good" evolution line and a "bad" one? Absolutely fitting. Khux ventus would have a meicoomon → meicrackmon → rasielmon partner I think; wayfinder ventus has a meicoomon → wingdramon → dynasmon partner, while Vanitas has meicoomon → meicrackmon vicious mode → raguelmon as a partner. Ventus-vanitas can have ordinemon as a bit of "wow this is a messed up situation huh", as a treat.
Skuld feels like she'd have a Lunamon (probably Lunamon → lekismon → crescemon → dianamon, traditional evolution line).
Ephemer with Coronamon (and the traditional Coronamon → firamon → flaremon → apollomon line) fits well as well I think. For a bonus, he and skuld's friendship could mean that while player fights them, player's partner digimon could have to fight against a very powerful GraceNovamon, ahaha
I'm not sure what partner I'd give Brain or Player, but I think Lauriam could do well with a Palmon. Lillymon or Rosemon would be the strongest form his partner would get to, I think; I can also imagine said partner going down the Palmon → vegimon → blossomon → lotusmon post-khux, when by marluxia's side
Tbh I feel like one could put digimon alongside khux pretty easily; keyboard wielders having digimon partners as well, and it being tied to that legacy of being a keyblade wielder or something. Digimon partners helping their tamers, not too dissimilar to a chirithy if you think about it -- friends that're for the most part Always There.
Anyways the tldr is I don't think it'd change canon too much but it would be a fun lil fic to write at some point. Digital creatures who are your friends <3

It’s my Vaguetype And I’ll Do What I Want With It
Originally posted on the Fictionkind Dreamwidth on April 6, 2024 In my last entry I talked about my Ga’Hoole owl type and how I experience it as a vaguetype. I’ve been meaning to make a companion piece about my dracomon x vaguetype, but I couldn’t get it to work for the longest time.
So this one is gonna be looser–more stream of consciousness on what I am currently exploring as a digimon – digivolution.
Primer for those not familiar with digimon
If you’re not familiar, digimon can evolve, but unlike Pokemon the evolutions are not a one-way street. They are capable of “de-digivolving” to a previous form for a number of reasons, but it’s usually something to do with taking damage/strain.
So the normal flow of forms go like this:
Baby > In-training > Rookie > Champion > Ultimate > Mega
Most digimon sit at an in-training or rookie level as their base form, but that’s not always the case. If a digimon acquires enough data they can digivolve and move up their base form a level with each level taking substantially more data. So champion and even ultimate level digimon can be seen running around the digiworld, though they are uncommon (especially the latter). However, humans super-charge everything and digimon partnered with them are the exception.
Digimon are extremely susceptible to the emotions and wishes of humans. When bonded to one, digivolution is supercharged and temporary evolutions to even the highest levels are possible. And that, depending on the partner of course, there would be a lot more room for diversity of forms. When the digital world isn't in danger of being torn apart, a lot of digimon species would live together in the same environment with similar life experiences and would be more likely to evolve into a smaller set of evolutions. If they evolved much at all, since again there's a lot of digimon that don't go far beyond the rookie or champion phase.
X-Digimon
Why do some digimon have an “x” after their name? It denotes that they were infected with the x-program, and were able to survive by mutating their code. This change also brings out any latent potential stored in their digicore and alters their appearance - making them stronger in the process. Depending on the amount of latent data, the change can be rather small, or significant. Some digimon are natural carriers of the x-antibody, without an original form to upgrade from, and do not have the x in their name.
Considering my other forms
I am confident in saying my base form is dracomon x – a rookie digimon. However, I also have strong noemata of being a holydramon (the creature in my avatar!) which is a mega.
My other forms…I’m not sure? I have some fleeting sensations and feelings, but these two were so strong, so obvious, that it’s weird now feeling like I’m stumbling around in the dark for my other forms. I must have had them – I had a human partner, I remember digivolving and I wouldn’t normally just skip right to a mega! So what were the others?
For the longest time I just assumed it was coredramon and wingdramon – both of which are the typical evolution path for a dracomon. I haven't ruled them out completely, but I'm also not making progress with them. I don't have a good way to word it, but like, before thinking about my champion form felt like looking at a blurry image that only got more blurry when you tried to look closely. By looking at other digimon options I feel like I'm starting to make progress and bring things into focus more.
Tumblr media
This is the closest I've come to making a definitive list so far. The ultimate level (black dragon near the center) is the one I am the most up in the air about. Of course there’s a chance this form might not be a registered digimon, but I know so little about that form it's hard to tell. In the other forms I feel a lot more confident!
To start with, I mostly went off of phantom sensations and noemata. Like, I just felt like the champion forms were bipedal and the ultimate level had an association with flight + a metal component. Also, I felt the champion form was a dragon form, more feral temperament, and flight wasn't necessarily a defining feature like in the other forms, and I knew the general size/shape.
Thing is, this describes a lot of digimon.
And here is where my troubles begin!
What I've been doing this past couple weeks is looking through lists of digimon, sorting out the ones that might fit and trying them on. This includes learning about them/their personality/powers, trying out the form in the headspace and putting thought into what it would have felt like, as a digimon trapped in the human world, as that thing to see how much it makes sense.
I'm actually really comfortable with growlmon. I kept dismissing it because it didn't fly and the artwork for the x variant is off-putting to me. But I kept coming back to it and when I saw other artwork for it, gave it a chance and opened up to the idea of not every form having flight, I took to it really quickly.
Or, I felt that way one day and then the next immediately felt the exact opposite. I felt so strongly that a different digimon, raptordramon, was my champion form. It was bipedal, mechanical, feral and a natural carrier of the x-antibody. Also, it had flight, but I definitely felt more a pull towards it’s temperament. For comparison, here’s the descriptions from the wiki for both digimon:
“Growlmon X is a Demon Dragon Digimon and carrier of the X Antibody. Because it has accepted and contained the extraordinary power of the "Digital Hazard" within itself, and that its attack instinct as a Virus-species enhanced further, it will exhibit a ferocious nature where it is unable to control its overflowing power, changing its personality into one on a thin line with justice depending on how it grows up. However, Growlmon's power has clearly increased, and the blades on both of its elbows have enlarged even more, developing and causing plasma to appear when attacking the enemy.[2]”
“Raptordramon is a Cyborg Digimon and carrier of the X-Antibody. It transformed itself from a wild Digimon that possessed a predatory instinct into a basis for modifications in order to reliably bring down its targets. Because the ferocious nature it possesses is too strong for its organic body to bear, it remodeled them with their corresponding weight in pure Chrome Digizoid metal, restraining their capacity for movement. However, whether it has high power output and flying ability or not is due largely to the organic body of the wild Digimon, before it was modified. Although it's small, if it gradually releases those abilities, it has the capability to easily bring down even a massive Digimon in a single blow.[2]”
I also had been considering a split champion level evolution with raptordramon -- and I think it makes sense. I struggled a lot with being aggressive and spiteful after surviving the end of my world and finding refuge in the human world. I see growlmon x as being an extension of my rage. Of wanting to do the right thing, but being overwhelmed with ferocity and relying on the strength of my partner’s heart to direct my power. To make up for what I lack in self-control.
In contrast, raptordramon has a history with predatory instincts, but has tempered them more with their cyborg parts. Yeah, the goal with the modifications is power, but there is more of an intention there. More thoughtfulness and this digimon is a vaccine type vs. growlmon x being a virus type. I believe raptordramon was an evolution I got access to later, after my partner and I grew to trust one another more and I became more disciplined and less jaded.
Here There be Paratypes and Linktypes
This still leaves my ultimate form unaccounted for. This one is the hardest to pin down. Besides flight and metal components there’s nothing defining to go off of. How did I come to put hisyaryumon on the list?
Looking at digimon evolutions once more, I found a single canon way for dracomon x to turn into holydramon x through growlmon x and hisyaryumon – who can also turn into raptordramon and is also a natural carrier of the x-antibody.
It’s a neat, perfect way to top off the digivolution list and looks awesome to boot. But is it the correct form? Have I put an acceptable amount of thought into it? What even are these forms to me? It's weird being these things, but also not often? Only some of the time? And kinda only because of being a dracomon?
Right now I do feel like hisyaryumon is the closest. I wouldn’t call them kintypes. Paratypes would be closer since my connection to them stems from my established identity of dracomon x. I don’t subscribe to a totally spiritual view of my ‘types, but kardiatype seems close too – something you were in a previous life, but no longer identify as. A part of me feels like I am just picking something to not have a gap. But so what if that’s the case? I’m happy and it’s my vaguetype, I’ll do what I want with it.
- Hortense

Digimon fanfic chapter 4 draft
Chapter 1, chapter 2, chapter 3
“Ow!” A young Danny Barton pulled his hand back from the cactus that had just been planted outside his apartment building. Of course everyone had told him not to touch the spiny, barrel-shaped plant, but telling a five-year-old boy not to touch something is a surefire way to make sure he touches it. Danny turned his hand over to see several of the spines protruding from his skin and his eyes began to well up.
“What’s wrong?” Andrew asked his little brother. In response, Danny showed his brother the porcupine that his hand became, visually holding back a sob.
“It’s ok, I know what to do. We went over this in Scouts. I’ll fix it, ok?” Andrew reassured Danny.
Back in their apartment, the two set up in the bathroom, where Andrew started pulling out the needles with a pair of tweezers.
“There, it’s not even bleeding”.
“Thanks, Andrew,” said Danny. It still hurt, but he was doing his best to not show it. “You always help me out”.
“Of course,” was the reply. “I think you should always do what you can to help people”.
“Really?”
“Yeah, I just think the world would be better if people always did what they could to make it better, you know?”
Danny nodded. “I think you can help a lot of people.”
“I know I’ll try”.
-----------
Daniel felt numb as he hugged the unconscious body of his partner. Who was that? That couldn’t have been Andrew. The brother he knew would never, could never do something like that. Attacking the village of Caps Lock Crater, shrugging off the murder of Apemon, attacking Daniel and Blue. Andrew was kind, helpful, and always tried to make the world a better place. The Andrew who just left was unrecognizable from who he had been just a month before.
Daniel was shaken out of his thoughts by a sword being pointed right at his face.
“Get out,” Snarled Dinohumon, their voice caught between sorrow and rage.
“Dinohumon, wait,” Clark, the only human keeping his composure, tried to say, but he was cut off.
“NO!, “Screamed the lizardman, “The village is gone! Apemon is dead! Because of you! The D-Brigade came here for you!” Dinohumon took a few deep breaths, then spoke again, this time their voice low and filled with fury. “I won’t kill you now because Apemon wouldn’t have wanted that. But if any of you ever come near here again, nothing will stop me from killing you. Now go.”
Clark swallowed, then pulled Daniel to his feet, Keiko having already risen. “Come on,” he said as he led the two out of the Caps Lock Crater.
“Where are we going?” asked Keiko as the villagers watched them leave.
“I don’t know,” said Clark. I was going to use a passageway by the village to get down into the desert, but now we’ll have to find another way down”. He paused, then added “If you still want to come that is”.
Clark and Keiko glanced at Daniel, who hadn’t said a word since his brother left.
“I don’t know,” Daniel said in a quiet voice. “I don’t know what to do”.
Keiko shifted the unconscious Tsukaimon into one arm and pulled a device out of her pocket. “This is my Digivice,” she said, “It’s called a D-3 and it can open gates between the worlds. If you want, I can send you home”.
Daniel didn’t respond right away, then he simply said “let me think about it”.
After another half-hour of walking, the group found a large rock that Clark deemed safe enough to shelter under for the rest of the night. Using only the supplies Clark could carry in his oversized backpack did not make for a comfortable camp, but it was suitable enough. Despite being exhausted from the day’s events, none of the humans tried to fall asleep right away.
“What happened?” Clark eventually asked. “It’s been a few years since I saw him last but Andrew was not like that back when I knew him”.
“I don’t know,” Daniel responded quietly. “He wasn’t like that at home. The Andrew I know would have punched that Andrew in the face if they met.”
“It’s only been a couple weeks since he came back to the Digital World, though. What could have changed him that fast?” Clark wondered aloud. “Unless he was pretending to be nice?”
Under normal circumstances, Daniel would have leapt to his brother’s defense at the insinuation that Andrew was anything less than the kind and helpful person he seemed to be. Now though, Daniel couldn’t help but wonder the same thing himself.
“Um,” Keiki interjected. “I didn’t know your brother like you two did, but you’re saying that he changed all of a sudden and became a worse person, yeah?”
“Yes,” Clark responded. “The way he was acting earlier was nothing like he’s ever acted before. At least as far as I know”.
“Then I might know why Benjamin asked me to come on this mission,” Keiko responded. “It sounds like he was a really nice person who turned into a monster overnight. That’s pretty much what happened to me when the Dark Spore was put in me”.
Clark and Daniel both looked up at that. “You think a Dark Spore is why Andrew was like that?” Clark asked.
“I don’t know for certain, but it makes sense,” Keiki replied. “Benjamin said I have experience that would help and knowing about the Dark Spore is the only thing I can think of that makes sense. Other than that I don't have anything to do with Andrew or the D-Brigade. The only thing that doesn’t make sense is how a Dark Spore got into him. The first Spore came from a DigiDestined named Ken Ichijouji and Oikawa copied it to make the Spores that he put in me and the others. I don’t know how your brother could have gotten one”.
“You said your Spore is off, right?” Daniel sounded hopeful for the first time since the arrival of the D-Brigade to Caps Lock Crater.
Keiko rubbed the back of her neck. She could swear the Spore knew it was being talked about. The thing always seemed to pulse when she brought it up.
“It’s not active anymore, but it’s still there,” she said.
“How did you deactivate it?” Daniel asked, his mind racing.
Andrew isn’t evil, it’s the Spore! I can still save him!
“You have to drown out the Spore by thinking happy thoughts. For us it’s one desire or goal we want to reach. The thing that gives us hope and makes us want to be better.” Keiko blushed a little. “Mine is I want to write stories”.
Clark nodded. “So we have a chance, then. Tomorrow we’ll start crossing the desert and head to meet Baihumon. While we’re doing that we’ll try to figure out a way to reach Andrew and make him think of something he can use to drown out the Dark Spore.
In agreement, the three children turned in for a night of uncomfortable and restless sleep.
----------
General Tankdramon, supreme commander of the D-Brigade, stared at the many screens in his mobile command unit. Captain Hi-Commandramon 8A5’s unit had recently departed to the excavation site after a brief stop at the command center. Their little excursion was a waste of time and resources that could have been better used at the excavation site. If the human Andrew really wanted the other DigiDestined out of the picture, he should have sent a team of Sealsdramon to assassinate them rather than put on such an elaborate show as a mere warning. However, the desires of the D-Brigade’s client are paramount, even if they are foolish. This mission was turning out to be more complicated than the General had anticipated. Unexpected resistance at the excavation site was delaying the schedule and now a group of DigiDestinedhad entered the picture. If this group was anywhere near as powerful as the one that defeated the Dark Masters they could prove a major threat to the D-Brigade.
The sliding door to the control room slid open, but Tankdramon already knew the visitor was coming. The General had survived grueling campaigns, the reign of the Dark Masters, and more battles than he could count. His were nerves of steel, but even so, the aura of darkness that preceded the D-Brigade’s benefactor made even him feel a twinge of discomfort.
“Speak,” Tankdramon said, not bothering to turn and look at the benefactor.
“Greetings, General,” said the silky smooth voice of Mephistomon. “I have acquired some information that I believe will benefit all of us”.
The tank treads that passed for legs on the General ground into motion, rotating around the massive, bulky war machine that made up most of his body. He now faced Mephistomon. The goat-like humanoid Digimon was small for an Ultimate-level, but ever since he had approached the D-Brigade, Mephistomon had proven to have a keen mind and a knowledge of ancient digital mysticism that the Brigade was lacking in. Next to Mephistomon floated a simple white sheet with a mouth. A Bakemon.
“I encountered our guest fleeing the very same group of DigiDestined that your forces went to meet. He had a very interesting story to tell. Go on, tell the General what you told me”.
“Er, right,” said the Bakemon nervously. “So my old boss Soulmon found a house where a DigiDestined liked to stay and came up with a plan. The boss made a potion which could steal whatever power DigiDestined have that lets them Digivolve their Digimon whenever they want. That way we could all Digivolve. But one of the humans Digivolved their Digimon and killed the gang. I was the only one that got away”.
“Bakemon has kindly filled me in on the details of this Soulmon’s ritual,” Mephistomon interjected. “I believe with my mysticism and the D-Brigade’s science we could improve the process of using the bond between Digimon and DigiDestined to force Digivolution. I believe this could greatly benefit our shared goals”.
“Agreed,” replied Tankdramon. “I will assign the engineering unit to work with you on this project”.
“A wise choice, General,” responded Mephistomon as the General turned back to the screens. “Oh, and what should be done with our guest?”
“I have no further use for it. Do with it as you will”.
“Hey, great. Do I get a reward?” asked Bakemon. “Or maybe I could work with you guys. You seem to know what you’re doing. Wait, what are you-”
The Bakemon was cut off by Mephistomon casually plunging his hand into its body and ripping it apart from the inside. After a quick bow, the D-Brigade’s benefactor turned and left Tankdramon to his work. The prospect of being able to freely Digivolve the D-Brigade’s soldiers by exploiting a Digidestined’s connection with their partner opened a whole new world of possibilities for the Brigade’s future. And Tankdramon knew just the Digimon they would need.
———
Morning came and though none of the group were particularly well rested, they rose for breakfast. Breakfast in this case consisted mostly of dried food that Clark had in his bag. Clark and Keiko filled the two Digimon in on what had been discussed the previous evening.
“That means Andrew and Green might not actually be evil. We can get them back!” Daniel told his partner with excitement. “Isn’t that great?”
“Yeah,” replied Blue, morosely.
Daniel frowned. “What’s wrong? It’s good news”.
“Yeah, of course it is,” Blue said, “I’m just thinking of something”.
Daniel scooted closer to the dragon. “What’s wrong? You know you can tell me”.
“Nothing,” insisted Blue.
“Really, what’s wrong”
“Nothing!” Snapped Blue. “Leave me alone!”. The little dragon got up and walked around a nearby boulder.
Daniel gaped at his partner.
“First time?” asked Tsukaimon. “Me ‘n Keiko get into fights like it's going out of style”.
“He’s never talked to me like that,” Daniel stammered. “He’s always so cheerful”.
“My advice is to give him space,” Keiko said with an understanding tone of voice. “He’ll come to you when he’s ready”.
“I hope so …”.
---------
With no time to waste, the group of humans and Digimon set out, Blue trailing behind the rest. Failing to locate a safe path down the sheer cliffs that led down into the desert, Tsukaimon opted to Digivolve and carry the children and Blue down one at a time. Clark led the crew to a stream that ran through the desert below the cliffs where the Caps Lock Crater sat far above, informing his fellow travelers that it would lead them most of the way through the desert and ensure they had plenty of water. And it would be quite a long walk indeed.
“So seeing as we’re gonna be stuck in this here desert for a week or so, guess we ought find something to talk about,” drawled Tsukaimon. “How about we start with how you know that one D-Brigader with the scars?”
Clark grimaced as the purple bat-hamster stared holes into the back of his head.
“Tsukaimon, we agreed to ask that gently,” admonished Keiko.
“Seeing as he’s hiding stuff from us again this me being gentle,” shot back her partner.
“That’s right,” Daniel said. “You did try to talk to that one Digimon. What was it called?”
“Commandramon,” Clark blurted out. “Commandramon 1G1. Yes, we know each other. No, I don’t want to talk about it.” His tone had reverted back to the harsher and more angry voice he was using back when Daniel and Keiko had first met him.
“From when you and Andrew worked with the D-Brigade?” Asked Daniel. At the same time Tsukaimon interjected “If we’re going to work together you need to start telling us stuff”.
“Listen!” Clark snapped. “We’ve known each other for less than a week. We aren’t friends, we’re just working together. So forgive me if I don’t tell you everything about my life!” With that he quickened his pace, putting distance between himself and the others.
Keiko sighed. “Tsukaimon you need to leave things that need tact to me from now on, got it?”
Tsukaimon at least had the decency to look sheepish.
“Something bad must have happened with those two,” Daniel said.
Remember the other night in that haunted house?” Keiko asked. “You asked if Clark had a Digimon and he didn’t answer. I wonder if maybe that Commandramon has something to do with that”.
“You think maybe it killed his partner?” Daniel asked. He glanced back at Blue, still trailing behind them. The thought of losing Blue made his heart beat faster. The little guy may not be talking to him right now, but Blue was family. Daniel couldn't imagine losing him.
“If someone took Blue away from me I don’t think I could ever forgive them. If that Commandramond did it I can’t imagine how he feels, knowing it's out there and not being able to do anything.”
“Don’t forget, Digimon are reborn as Digi-Eggs when we die,” added Tsukaimon. “If his partner did die, it should come back.”
“Dying and coming back. I wonder what that’s like,” Keiko pondered.
“Well I’ve never died so I don’t know, but I think sometimes a Digimon will come back without their old memories.”
“That might be worse,” Daniel “Your partner comes back to life and doesn’t remember you? That’s horrible.”
Ahead of them, Clark had made a turn around a hill, but suddenly came sprinting back, yelling “GET DOWN!” From over the hill rose one of the dragon-like tiltrotor vehicles that the D-Brigade had used the previous night, the beating of its helicopter blades beating up a sandstorm. A minigun attached to the front of its fuselage roared into life, spraying down a hail of bullets that left holes in the desert well behind Clark. A warning shot.
As the humans and their partners ducked behind a large boulder the vehicle’s mouth opened and barked out a command.
“By order of the D-Brigade, no humans may pass these coordinates! Turn back and leave or die!”
“You’re telling me the helicopter is a Digimon too?” Asked an irate Tsukaimon.
“Yes,” Clark replied. “Cargodramon. It’s an Ultimate-level.”
An Ultimate, Just like Green had been when he almost effortlessly defeated both Blue and Tsukaimon.
A lack of further attacks gave Clark the courage to peek over the boulder. The Cargodramon hovered in the air and its eyes met Clark’s, but it made no move to attack him.
Clark ducked back down. “It’s not attacking again. It must be ordered to only attack us if we try to keep going.”
“Andrew must have told it to not try to kill us,” Daniel said. “He said he doesn’t want to kill me as long as I stay out of whatever he’s planning, so he must have told it to just scare us off.”
“That’s probably right,” Clark said. “I donut the D-Brigade would go for scaring us off over killing us unless they were commanded to.”
“That means Andrew must still be a decent person deep down even if he has a Dark Spore!” Daniel exclaimed. “He’s still in there!”
Daniel pulled out his crest. “We just need to Digivolve to Ultimate to beat Cargodramon and then we can keep going to get Andrew back. Come on, Blue!”
Blue didn’t respond, just looking sadly at Daniel. “I’m not sure I can, Danny- er, Daniel.”
“Why not? What’s wrong?”
Blue sighed sadly. “It’s Apemon. I bit his bone and made him mad at me after he was so nice to us. Now he’s dead because of us and I never even got to say sorry.”
Daniel looked at his partner, then grabbed and hugged him. “It’s not your fault, Blue. It’s the D-Brigade’s. They attacked us, remember. You can’t put that on yourself.”
“But if we weren’t at the village…”
“If we weren’t at the village Apemon would still have stood up to them,” Clark said. “That’s the kind of Digimon he was. Always trying to find the most peaceful way out of everything. If he heard the D-Brigade was harassing complete strangers he would come to try to talk some sense into them. You can’t blame yourself for what the D-Brigade did.”
“But…” Blue didn’t seem to know what to say.
“Think about what Andrew would say. The normal Andrew, not the way he is now,” Daniel said to his partner.
Blue thought for a second. “He would say that it's ok to be sad but that it shouldn’t stop us from doing what’s right.”
“That’s right!”
Blue took a deep breath “I want to get him and Green back. And I want to be better. I’m not going to make nice people mad at me anymore! I’m not going to keep calling you Danny! And I’m going to make the D-Brigade pay!”
The crest in Daniel’s hands started to glow.
“You did it!” Clark declared. “You activated your crest!’
Daniel looked down at his crest, then clenched his hand around it. “I know what my crest is now. It’s the crest of determination. And we are determined, aren't we, Blue?”
“Of course we are Daniel,” Bleu nodded in agreement.
“I’m going to get Andrew back!” Declared Daniel
“And I’m going to get Green back!” declared Blue. The two then  finished their sentences in unison.
“Because he’s my brother!”
Dracomon Digivolve to… Coredramon! Coredramon Digivolve to… Wingdramon!
The new form of Blue shot into the air like a rocket. He was still a blue dragon, but much larger than either his Rookie or Champion forms. His body rippled with muscle under his scales and his head was covered in a mask of ivory and orange, branching horns. A lance sat on his back, two golden orbs were clutched in his hands,  and his tail, now longer than his body, rippled out behind him like the waves of the aurora. But the largest change was to his wings. Patterned with blue, hexagonal scales, the mighty wings spread out of either side of his body like a great cape and seemed to hold him aloft without flapping.
“Hostile action detected,“ Cargodramon rotated in the air to point its gun at Blue, but in a flash, the dragon was gone, leaving behind a sonic boom that rattled every boulder for hundreds of meters.
“Explode Sonic Lance!” Blue was now behind Cargodramon and shot forward, the lance on his back aimed at the vehicle’s wings. The enemy managed to tilt to one side so Blue’s attack left a deep gash on the wing instead of severing it.
“Suppression Strike!” Cargodramon’s minigun roared into motion, shooting a hail of bullets at Blue, who dodged and weaved through the air with a grace unnatural for such a large creature. Even so, a few bullets did hit, leaving deep wounds.
“Blue!” Shouted Daniel, but his dragon simply glanced down at him.
“Don’t worry, Daniel. I can’t lose to this. We still have brothers to save!”
Blue flew upward, forcing Cargodramon to reorient itself in the air to keep its aim. However, as it did so, Blue’s wings coiled around him and he shot down downward like a meteor. The wings flared out again and the dive turned into a glide inches above the ground. Now with his belly facing the sky, Blue found himself directly underneath the fuselage of Cargodramon, the slower flier disoriented by his sudden movements.
“Blaze Sonic Breath!” From Blue’s mouth shot a burst of flame that burned white hot. The concentrated pillar of fire roared upward, slamming into Cargodramon’s underside before shooting out of its top. Cargodramon wheeled around in the air, unable to keep itself along with a hole through its body. The D-Brigade member fell and smashed into the side of a hill before exploding in a massive fireball.
Blue landed in front of the group, his wings shielding them from any shrapnel.
“You were amazing out there,” Daniel practically shouted.
“Thanks, partner,” replied the dragon. “It was no match for us.”
“You know it! Now they won’t be able to stop us from getting Andrew and Green back!”
“We’ll need all the help we can get,” said Clark. “The D-Brigade won’t take this lying down, but we’ll be able to really fight back now. And that’s not all the good news.”
“What else is there?” Asked Keiko.
Clark nodded at Blue, “We have a faster way through the desert now.”

Digimon adventure swap au
Since I did one for tamers I should do one for adventure as well.
Tai and Biyomon, This is mostly so he can have a parrotmon to swap with the movie, now Greymon is the enemy Digimon and Tai and Kari make friends with parrotmon. Cool huh,
Evolution line- Nyokimon -> Yokomon -> Biyomon -> Diatrymon -> Velgrmon (Skullgreymon equivalent)/Parrotmon -> Crossmon
Matt and Gomamon, This is to be opposite of Tai in a sense, opposite of Air and High is Sea and Low. Also gomamon’s chillax attitude could go well with Matt’s lonely nature.
Evolution line- Pitchmon -> Bukamon -> Gomamon -> Ebidramon -> Gusokumon -> Plesiomon
Sora and Patamon, This is so She can still have a flying creature, neat huh.
Evolution line- Poyomon -> Tokomon -> Patamon -> Unimon -> Tylinmon -> Mitamamon
Izzy and Palmon, No reason just out of options and thought us would look cool, biology reference maybe.
Evolution line- Yumamon -> Tanemon -> Palmon -> Woodmon -> Blossomon -> Bloomlordmon
Mimi and Salamon, So Sora got one of the holy duo so it makes sense for Mimi to get the other. No other reason. Also their lines go similar ways going from creature to pretty lady.
Evolution line- Yukimibotamon -> Nyaromon -> Salamon -> Mikemon -> Bastemon -> Lovelyangemon
Joe and Tentomon, Yeah they kinda were just the last ones remaining but it kinda works I guess.
Evolution line- Pabumon -> Motimon -> Tentomon -> Kuwagamon -> Jewelbeemon -> Grandiskuwagamon (yes I know that Kuwagamon was the enemy in the first episode but this is a swap au so just swap Kabuterimon with Kuwagamon)
Tk and Agumon, Kari and Gabumon, I love this idea, whenever people do swap au’s they should do this more often. Also they both get royal knights because of course they do.
Evolution lines
Botamon -> Koromon -> Agumon -> Coredramon blue -> Wingdramon -> Dynasmon
Punimon -> Tsunomon -> Gabumon -> Dogmon -> Knightmon -> Lordknightmon
Now before anyone points out that these guys already appeared in frontier, so did seraphimon and Ophanimon so shush. I’ll do the 02 crew later on I promise.
Now your probably wondering, but who will be our Omnimon equivalent Crossmon and Plesiomon don’t fuse into anything. And that is true, but don’t worry I got the solution.
Aegisdramon!
It’s already a Plesiomon and Seadramon fusion, But Crossmon can work, Both are Cyborg, Both are golden, and it’s a combination between the Sky (Biyomon) and Sea (Gomamon)
So Crossmon + Plesiomon -> Aegisdramon
