ITS SO FUN and challenging in the absolute best way possible!!! its my total favorite game rn i play basically every day im on my like 90 somethingth cycle in subterranean im having a blast and i only got mild ish spoilers from getting super excited and browsing through tumblr

i dont really know where im going right now but my main goals are explore as much as i can and befriend the scavengers (and also get better at the controls)

imagine a small town having an annual mechanical bull riding contest but for overdue pregnant people

#ok ko #i gotta say i love the way the boxbots look especially raymond. and little pixel KO is just perfect #KO makes a good platformer protagonist in general. hes got the vibes i would trust him to jump over pits and onto blocks #considering the 2 official CN ok ko games and the fact that ok ko actually started as a video game before it was a show #seeing ok ko interpreted as a video game in any context just seems so right. its got such a video gamey vibe #plus i adore the old gba look with the simplified pixel art. so good

I'll say one thing about dredge, no game has as rapidly recontextualized itself in my eyes as when i drove up to what i thought was a shipwreck only for it to come alive as a crab and attempt to smash my ship

i have been thinking about that ‘give your oc a kink’ post for days. because i think even would have a thing for hypnosis. yes, yes, for character reasons of overwhelming feelings of impending failure that make the idea of having the ability to choose anything at all be taken out of their hands look extremely appealing. but also because it would be so fucking funny in the worse timeline. imagine you get stuck in time hell with a guy whose whole thing is hypnotizing people, and u hate him. u hate him so. so much.

#original #my ocs #was thinking about this last night/this morning #there's more Stuff in this concept #like you get to this point by befriending breeze and they invite you to a “cool sports bike thing” #and then you get there and it's a jump through a flaming hoop over a pit of spikes #and you CAN just be like “alright let's do it!” and jump with them and then you both end up in the hospital #and also there's actual Drama and stuff #i was trying to think of dialogue options where there's a correct choice and an incorrect choice #but balancing that is kinda tricky because it needs to be understandable and reasonable but not obvious #one idea i liked is when you're trying to talk them out of it and they eventually ask “this is MY choice! why do you care if i get hurt?!” #the options are “because i like hanging out with you” and “because i want what's best for you” #anyway if breeze ends up hospitalized then they're basically gone for the rest of the game #and if YOU get hospitalized then it's a game over as you two consider “hm. yeah that probably wasn't worth being unable to walk for months”

after telling my beloved and their followers about shadow the hedgehog's 326 unique endings i went and looked at speedruns of the game and learned that you can just bypass the last and worst platforming section of cosmic fall using a ring trail that you can trigger that i never ever knew about as a kid and i'm now thinking about how that specific section in expert mode drained me of almost a full stock of lives and i got so frustrated and upset i never attempted it again. third to last stage. i was so close. i want to beat preteen jesse with a rolling pin so fucking bad

#cosmic fall itself isn't too difficult it's just a few weird platforming sections over bottomless pits you'll figure out quickly #but the fucking expert layout #the very last outside platforming section has a very very long and steep drop onto a moving platform far below #which makes timing your jump incredibly difficult because of how long it takes to descend #and i would somehow miss it each and every single fucking time #AND ALL THIS TIME I COULD HAVE JUST SKIPPED IT #I HATE BEING 9 AND STUPID
