Magnus had, quite frankly, never been in a more embarrassing situation. And considering the number of Situations™ that Magnus had been in before, that was saying something. But no, this was worse than that time he fell out a second-story window in only his underpants and broke both his arms. And this was worse than locking himself out of his own apartment and getting arrested for picking his own front door lock. And, somehow, this was worse than the time Merle dragged him into posing as a Christmas elf for a charity dinner, where he conveniently forgot to mention that Magnus was solely in charge of all the children while "Santa" tried to speak to his ex-wife.

Actually, no, that one was still the most embarrassing situation Magnus had been in. But goddamn, this was a close second.

There was no way to make this look like an accident. The crowd was giving him a wide berth, a few distrusting adults sending glares his way as they shepherded their children past. Magnus would be ashamed if he hadn't been so close to getting his arm all the way up this claw machine and wrapped around the nearest plush bear.

"Mags, I was gone for two minutes," said a voice from his left. Magnus turned, his body awkwardly pressed up against the base of the claw machine, to see Julia standing there. In the flashing neon lights of The Adventure Zone: Arcade and Laser Tag Galore! she looked torn between laughing and sympathy.

"I just- I wanted to get you something!" Magnus said.

"Babe," Julia said. She kneeled down next to him and Magnus didn't have time to warn her of the unidentified sticky mess that was on the carpet below him. The look on her face betrayed exactly how Magnus had felt when he first got down here. "You've got tokens, remember?"

"Pssh, of course, I remembered," Magnus said, having not remembered in the slightest. "I was saving those for, uh, for skeeball."

"Sure you were," Julia said. "Scoot over."

Magnus scooted the few inches he could, the machine pinching at the skin around his elbow. He grimaced a little as Julia carefully lifted the flap and reached her own arm up the machine. She felt along his arm until she found the part he was stuck on- two screws loosened just enough for him to get his hand stuck- and gently pried him free. Magnus slipped his arm out, rubbing at his wrist.

"Thanks," Magnus said. Julia pulled her arm out too and rolled her wrist.

"You wanted the bear?" she asked. "The one with the little red coat?"

"I was gonna give it to you," Magnus said, a little put out now that his plan hadn't worked. "Like a surprise gift."

"Here," Julia said. For a moment, Magnus thought she was going to take a few coins out of her pocket and try to win the correct way. Instead, she shrugged off her jacket and passed it to him. Magnus sat back on his heels (shoes digging into the disgusting carpet) and watched as Julia reached her own hand up the machine and reached for the bear. She somehow got her whole shoulder past the flap, which made it much easier to just snag the right thing and pull back out.

"Easy," she said. "Trade ya."

She took the jacket from him again, pressing the bear into his open hands.

"I'm so in love with you," Magnus said. Julia grinned, getting back up to her feet and offering a hand out to him.

"You might change your mind after I beat your ass at laser tag," Julia said and from her pocket, she pulled out two brightly colored tickets, flashing them in Magnus's direction. Magnus jumped to his feet after her, sweeping her up in a hug.

"It's funny that you think your gonna win, Jules," he said. "Because remember very well the last time we were here, I got, uhh, what was it? Fifteen hundred more points than you!"

"I've been training," Julia said, cracking her knuckles. "So you better hope you've still got your skill, Mr. Burnsides."

"We'll see about that, Ms. Waxmen."

The not so long Benny Boy Music Career Timeline!

It all started in West End actually! The drums! Teenage Benny and all that stuff. The lifelong dream one might say.

Then in the early 2000s we seen the rise of Hyrise with the obvious big ending in 2004 when his band tried their luck and wanted to do Eurovision, and failed. Would say that was actually good but it was not lol

After that Benny went on a music hiatus and if imma right (obvi!) he started to doing the covers on ig in 2016? Mostly christmasy songs I think. Then when pandemic hit poor boy got stuck at home and the covers started to come out quite regularly. There were also some ye know connections between the songs and twin flaming. We got the gist here and here already! Debatable stuff tho! Most of the 2020/2021 covers are actually referenced in the EP or influenced it to some extent - confirmed info. Most importantly, it was the time when the Benny Boy Singing Face™ came to life!

At the same time his lovely fans started to tell him he's not only the most beautiful human being but he also can sing and they demand an album! Others would say they only been telling him he can sing cuz boy is pretty... Either way it worked cuz as we know, in the second half of 2020 he was most probably writing his heart out in his lil secret diary <3 Rise Up was the first song he finished apparently.

The songs were recorded and more or less ready to go in the first half of 2021. He apparently told one of his fans (during the Shadow and Bone me Daddy promo) that it's ready but he's looking as to how release it. In May no one wanted to take it x.x

Eventually boy finds the way cuz he starts the hinting in the summer. In early/mid July he was doing the Rise Up mv and couple of days later he posted from the theater where 11:11 mv was done.

In August 2021 we get the real shit. The 11:11 posting times, the watch, what time is it and finally... on the 20th Benny announces his first single and EP! Fans happy, Benny happy. Some were a lil disappointed that it's only EP and long weeks to go but we can make it lol other fans could not tell the difference between an album and EP, some still can't ;c

When in Toronto, the dreadful interviews start and won't stop for months! FINALLY! 16th September - we get the early People Mag approved 11:11 premiere, followed by the official release on the 17th! The interviews continue!

On October 10th 11:11 hits million streams on Spotify lol I think I talked about streams enough lately so will leave it out of here x.x

October 14th we get the Rise Up - both song and mv, this time pushed by Deadline. Anyways, next day (October 15th!!!) the EP drops! Yeyeyeyeye that was a blast! No party tho ;c unless twin flame was twin flaming him a party... Big success, millions of people interacting, everyone talks about it, everyone wants a piece! Two Vogue covers, Oprah exclusive and Las Vegas residency to follow...

The next day we got the pre taped 'live' of 11:11 from boy's own backyard followed by more interviews. Zelda was involved tho! Always nice to see an old fren around ;c

October 22nd we get the amazing merch/swag/whatever promo! Everything is going great <3 Then more interviews and around Halloween we got the Rise Up live/acoustic in funeral suit since it was end of October lol

Around the same time, Benny's new relationship with the scary pocket weekdays whatever starts. We got the Best Part cover around the same time, followed by the Sledgehammer cover and some innuendos (APPARENTLY!!!) around the time Bulianne was officially over which would be the end of November. And then we have This Christmas just a lil bit over a week back and more to come! probably...

- post reveal, dinah starts bringing in flowers from her shop, so there’s almost always a fresh bouquet at JLA headquarters. barry tends to take a couple for iris when they head home. the two of them showing up as civilians to help out one weekend!! a pleasant and Pure surprise,, barry and dinah showing up at ferris air to watch hal do test flights!!

- bartholomew does 90% of the cooking if they have Team Dinners, bc hal is Competent in the kitchen but only for super basic stuff and he gets sidetracked in like. two seconds flat. Dinah made them dinner once and hal and barry were both legitimately concerned she was trying to murder them. All that was left of the kitchen was a handful of ashes. j’onn left at the first sight of flames.
