i still think a lot about how technically, it's implied Anubis and Walt started dating each other before they asked out Sadie, and if Sadie had said she wasn't interested they would have gone "Entirely fair have a nice day" and proceed to just go continue to date each other.
Cause like, that was the entire thing. They decided that themselves. That things would work best if they were together (as in both physically sharing a body and also relationship-wise). The "asking Sadie about it" part was secondary. If she had said no, they would have stayed together, because among other things Walt would kind of die if they didn't. Walt and Anubis are technically the first gay couple in the Riordanverse. AND they're in a polyamorous relationship with Sadie. Why does no one talk about them ever.

Some of C.ars 2 deleted scenes are some of the funniest things I've ever been exposed to. I defiantly don't have a bias in saying that, nope, totally not.
And everytime I rewatch them I never fail to completely lose my marbles laughing at how they draw F.inn. He's like two steps away from being a smug ":3"
I'm too lazy to dig through my infinite gallery for more examples photos of it but..have this one for now...
Bonus last two images.
This has also reminded me of the whole Sombrero scene which I'm surprised I forgot about it cause I used to quote that scene so much, never made me fail to laugh. And like just plain laugh, it was always a losing my mind and rolling off my bed laughing.

i don’t care that rhaenyra’s oldest are illegitimate not bc i’m a targ stan who thinks she can do no wrong but because legitimacy is a social construct that does nothing more than enforce the patriarchy and class system, and rhaenyra having kids out of wedlock with a man she is consenting to sex with is fine, actually, and if you’re hung up on that it is my opinion that you are clinging to the rules of propriety and patriarchy when analyzing her because you think she should be punished for having sex outside marriage and not like, all the things she actually does that are morally wrong, which is like, textbook misogyny.
“but the lords” so the thing is i don’t give a shit if the lords think she’s a slut. i understand the time period bc not only am i not stupid, i also understand that it is still a big issue in many communities for mothers to have children out of wedlock. i am saying i do not care because it’s a fake issue the way “brienne can’t really be a knight because she’s a woman” and “sansa can’t rule winterfell when she has true born younger brothers” or whatever else. legitimacy is a tool of the patriarchy, of colonialism irl, of classism, and the argument “rhaenyra is a bad person for having children out of wedlock when she knew that would put them in danger” is stupid bc legitimacy doesn’t fucking matter and neither does marriage.

I just love aaddtsotu so much and dante and ari, omg dante and ari-
like they're such beautiful people?? and their relationships with each other and with the other characters I cant-
all the characters in that books are so beautiful; their parents, their friends, i just literally, dear god. I cant.
and i don't use the word beautiful lightly. if I say someone is beautiful i mean inside and out.
just- the way they think? and the way they talk and communicate and miscommunicate omg they even miscommunicate beautifully like how.
and their relationships with each other bro why can't people talk and think and listen like that in real life?
why, why, whyyyy can't people talk poetically? why god why.
"let yourself be loved" "perhaps not as lovely as your son" and ik those are quotes from the sequel but my point still stands. I don't think anyone has ever told me to let myself be loved or anything of the sort.
and the way ari starts to understand his parents throughout the book?? omgggg do I wish I could have that. I'm sure I'm not the only one, too. my parents were good parents, objectively (by this i mean they never abandoned or physically abused me, supported me through most of my endeavors and loved me.) (despite this, there are some issues there; the ones that come from growing up as the eldest daughter in a desi family, iykyk.) because of how they grew up, they never truly opened themselves to me.
so many of us go through life never learning to understand our parents, the ones who (for the most part) loved us first, and never letting them understand us.
sorry i dont even know what this turned into, it started with ari and dante and ended up with me sharing my wishes for true familial understanding on the internet. I'm going to go before I embarrass myself any further...
