Fact #25

An image that can be found in the files of Yo-kai Watch 1 for Nintendo Switch shows what looks to be an early version of the original game's bottom screen battle interface. It has a few interesting differences from the final game, such as Tattletell looking to be of the Charming tribe, which is shown with a red color instead of pink with its unity, and Whisper being on the team, and of the Slippery tribe, which he was later introduced as in Yo-kai Watch Blasters.

Tattletell Headcanon

Hey I love some sad headcanon in my queue at 3 am

Tattletell was a grandmother. Her family loved her when she was alive, always visiting, always talking. But it wasn’t all flowers and goodness. The illness that left her in bed most of the day also took away her voice, the voice she’d loved for years. She’d been a singer in her youth, and an emergency phone operator. She’d loved her voice.

And as she lay there, sick and unable to speak, family members, nurses, doctors: all unloaded their secrets on the old woman who would never tattle. The old woman who could never tell. Secrets good and bad, all bearing down oppressively.

After she died, her spirit remained. Still unable to speak much beyond her name, for she’d forgotten how. Her power was to make others spill their secrets, still the unspeaking listener, only now able to share the secrets with the world.

Rumor has it that when she finds her voice again, Tattletell will finally be able to move on, to whatever afterlife waits beyond being a Yokai.

My BFF @wolfetteuniverse and I did a Yokai Watch RP a little while back and my twin OCs, Circe(left) and Pasiphaë(right) got Yokai pendants

They could already see and talk to ghosts and such but now they can befriend and call them whenever they like with their necklaces!

Their main Yokai are seen beside them, Manjimutt for Circe and Tattletell for Pasiphaë

Okay I had a AU in my head for a long, LONG time………… Ya know how there’s so many Heathers, Monster, Alternate Ending, etc AUs? What if…………there was………..a fucking…………..Yokai Watch AU……….

You got Edd of course as the titular main character Nate Adams, and of course he’s gonna get the Yokai Watch, but who’s gonna give it to him? Well it’s Whisper, and Tom takes his role in this AU. He’s EXTREMELY lazy and doesn’t care at all for Edd, and rarely gives help or insight when they’re meeting other Yokai. He’s only hanging around Edd since he freed him from the Crank-A-Kai and he’s ‘gotta follow orders’. Matt is also a Yokai, and he’s of course the very vain and oddly overpowered Kyubi (his future self is also a Yokai, and could be either Frostail or Mecha Kyubi!) Tord is another Yokai, being Venoct, and he’s a edgy piece of shit that just annoys Edd and his 'friends’. Shadow Venoct is of course Red Leader, but doesn’t appear for some time. Paul & Pat are Komasan & Komajiro of course, but are not brothers. Bing is Edward Archer since they’re both extremely smart but tend to be dimwitted, Larry is Bear, and Ell takes the role of Katie Forester. I’m not 100% sure of who Inaho Misora is gonna be, but she could be Laurel and USApyon could be Hellucard (since Canada is part of North America plus I’m running outta characters). Plus Tamara is the Yokai Smogling and Matilda is Tattletell. The AU itself is just a parody of the bullshit events that happen in the YKW anime/game with the typical stuff that happens in Eddsworld. Manjimutt, Noko, and the others also appear, but I’m not sure who they should be (maybe make Bing as Manjimutt and Larry as Noko instead?). But wait, that’s not all………..who’s Jibanyan? The main mascot of the YKW franchise?……………….plus his 20+ variants such as Shogunyan, Last Bucinyan, Robonyan and his own variants, the Fruit and Gemnyans, and even Nyaaminator……….

IF YOU THOUGHT JIBANYAN WAS A LAZY PIECE OF SHIT THAT ONLY CARES FOR HIMSELF, IMAGINE HIM AS RINGO. (Oh, and Future Edd is literally Edd’s grandpa, Nathaniel Adams and he’s also the Yokai version of him, Moximous N. Edd also has his alternate Yokai form, Fuu 2, but he’s a M E S S)
