What about an allergy denial scenario?
ask and you shall receive (six months later <3)
here’s my first attempt at a proper allergy denial scenario where you gift me flowers that i insist i couldn't possibly be allergic to as i apologetically sneeze all over them, not wanting to spoil such a beautiful gesture. lots of hitching and some very harsh sneezes

Is Sambucky Canon or Not?
TL;DR: Yes, it is
I've seen some people saying that they only see friendship between Sam and Bucky, and I can understand that. Because depending on your education, the environment you grew up and the kind of media you’re usually exposed to, you will have a different interpretation of different situations, in real life or in TV. Just let me insert a short story before I dive into the Sambucky topic:
My best friend's uncle is in his fifties and has been living with his roommate (a man) for more than 10 years. They lived together, went on holidays together but officially were just roommates. My best friend wondered if they were a couple, but never talked about it to her parents because it wasn't her business. Two years ago, they decided to come out and get married. My best friend's parents and his parents were genuinely surprised, they were not expecting that, at all, not even a little bit. Let me tell you that it didn’t even cross their mind that it was a possibility, at all. For them, it had always just been two men who had decided to live together because they were single. And preferred to have a roommate rather than living alone.
What I want to say with this story is that people will see what they want to see, or what they're used to see, or what they were raised to see. It’s human.
What I mean is that you will have different perception of a same event, depending on your own circumstances. And I think the writers of TFATWS were counting on that a little bit when it came to Sam and Bucky’s relationship. They obviously didn't want to make some big announcement or big love declaration.
And yes, of course, I have my own circumstances as well, influencing the way I see things. I have shipped SamBucky since Civil War, when they were supposedly enemies. I never expected anything to happen between them on screen. But then they got a show together and I was so so happy about it but I didn't expect anything other than friendship between them.
I was perfectly fine with that because a show was already more than enough: my man Sam Wilson was becoming Captain America, the show was great, the characters were great, their interactions were great, and this wasn't a love story anyway but a superhero show. I thought that here was no way the showrunners would ever go there. I changed my mind after episode 5. I tried to stay objective, but it was clear to me that the writers were hinting at a relationship that went beyond friendship between Sam and Bucky. In some of my previous posts, I explained that there are some scenes and writing choices that make absolutely no sense if you read them as a scene between two friends. I can link them if anyone’s interested.
Side note: I would like to know if one person on this website can tell me what was up with Bucky's behavior with Torres (in episode 5)? What other explanation is there, if not jealousy? It's a scene they chose to keep, so it was probably written this way, there must be a reason. Please I’m begging someone explain it to me. I'm genuinely asking, because otherwise that scene alone is canon Sambucky.
After episode 5, I was convinced they would make Sambucky canon, one way or the other and I started speculating about the ways they could do it. What I said was that if they did make Sambucky canon, they would do it in a very subtle way, in order not to make it too obvious because that’s generally how Marvel movies deal with love stories. And also because they wouldn’t want to scare away their homophobic audience ( I guess Disney needs their money...who knows)
So here are the scenes of how I imagined SamBucky becoming canon and the comparison with reality:
1.
- What I thought we could get : AJ and Cass calling Bucky "Uncle Bucky" - What we got: AJ and Cass running up to Bucky and playing with him. This point is interesting because it’s also related to the point I made about how the environment you grew up in influences your perception of things. I grew up in a big family and I know that, at least in my family, kids don't run up to an adult like that just because it's their uncle’s friend or just because he's nice... There's a real bond there. They haven't seen Bucky just that one time when he slept on the couch. They're obviously close. But some people might just see this as kids being kids. Also, if you watch at how the kids were fake punching him, they were really coordinated with Bucky. They have done this plenty of times. 2.
What I thought we could see: A non-explicit scene where we were supposed to draw our own conclusions. I thought they could show us Bucky staying over for the night, and the last scene would be an empty couch, meaning we would have to understand that Bucky slept in Sam's room this time.
-What we got: Bucky arriving in Sam's car ( A few people on Tumblr pointed out that it was the car Sam was driving in episode 1) So here again we have a scene that a lot of people will not notice. But they still chose to put it there. 3.
What I thought could happen: Sam asking Bucky to stay in Delacroix
What we got: Bucky wrapping things up in New York, as if he was leaving the city for good and coming to Sam's party as if he already knew everyone there. You can read my take on this here. 4. What I thought could happen: The scene in the trailer where we see them looking in the same direction and then we get a shot from very far away where they're holding hands but it’s not so obvious because they are being filmed from a disctance. -What we got: The scene in trailer and then a blurry shot of Sam holding Bucky and then fondling with his neck to find the best spot to rest his hand on. So none of the scenes I was imagining happened exactly like I had imagined, but it felt like all of them happened but in a different versions, which is still crazy to me. If it had been only one scene. I could probably understand the people who see them as just friends. Actually, I still do understand the people who see them as just friends, because everyone has their own interpretation. What I am saying is that they are NOT being portrayed as just friends. There are TOO many scenes in the 6 episodes for it to be a coincidence. One or 2 would be ok but friendship doesn’t explain everything:
The therapy scene (not the therapy scene itself since it was improvised) but the therapist saying she had heard a lot about Sam and wanting them to do a couples’ therapy
Bucky following Sam no matter what
Sam saying ok as soon as Bucky says "do it for me"
Sam asking "what about Bucky?"
Bucky starting to touch Sam whenever he has the chance
Bucky being the one to bringing the suit for Sam
The boat repairing montage
Bucky wanting to stay at Sam's place, when a hotel room would have been more comfortable than a couch
The second day of boat repair in closed quarters with an intense staring scene.
And there are so many other scenes, soft touches, looks,...
These writing choices are not a coincidence, it’s not involuntary, and it’s not fan service ( Fan service is the roll in the flower field scene, or the therapy session). This is them telling a story.
Let’s not even talk about the scenes in Endgame:
Sam comforting bucky at Tony’s funeral
Sam looking up to Bucky for approval before accepting the shield from Steve.
So yes, Sam and Bucky are canon in the sense that Peter and Gamora were canon in the first movie, or Wanda and Vision were canon in Captain Civil War. Meaning that there was no big moment, kiss or anything, but the show is consistently throwing elements clearly showing Sam and Bucky as a romantic item and hinting at a lot more than friendship between them.
It is normal that some people have a different opinion. Because it is extremely rare, in big productions like this to have two male leads with romantic feelings towards each other, so not a lot people who see it will interpret it as such (I don't think it ever happened). You’ll see what you’re used to seeing.
I guess it also depends on what you expect from a love story. For me, the storyline between the characters, their scenes, their chemistry, the way their feelings towards each other are described, are the most important. The kiss scene is just there as a bonus, but I don't need it when the love story is told perfectly. If you’re used to seeing love stories with many kissing scenes, that’s what you will be expecting to see in most love stories.
If you're only used to seeing male friendships in superhero or action movies. The 1000th time you see men interacting in that type of movie or show, you are more likely to assume it is a friendship and nothing more, no matter how many codes and tropes usually associated with romantic movies, the writers and show makers are using.
Add to that the conviction that Disney would never approve Sambucky in a million years, and there you go, I can understand the people who see only friendship.
But, just think about it, if we had the same show, same scenes, same dialogues, but minus the action scenes and the project was being marketed as an Indie movie, would you think they were just friends or a blossoming couple?
If you read Sambucky’s relationship like a friendship: some scenes don't make sense. If you read it like a developing romantic relationship: it all makes sense. "When you hear hoofs, think horse, not zebra" If a writer or a film director chooses a last scene with a romantic setting and the two leads are staring at a sunset, smiling repeatedly at each other and then walking away together with one of them touching the other's neck, with a love song in the background, maybe friendship isn't the first thought they had in mind.
Some people may say “I see them as just friends” and other people may say “ I see them as lovers” and both are fine, because people have different perceptions, and that’s ok.
What I am saying is this post is that the show and the writers are portraying them as more than just friends, they’re portraying them as two characters who are romantically involved.
Perceive what you want but that’s how they are being presented in the show.
Bucky’s therapist said that the exercise she gave them was for couples who want to figure out what kind of life they want to build together. Then, the show ends with Sam and Bucky, staring at a sunset together, looking in the same direction.
“Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction. “  - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
What else do you need???
This show had more romance than half of the Marvel projects out there. Not every love story needs a kiss (for now...)
We'll see in their next projects which direction the writers want to go with this. But since it was said that the writer on the movie is the same as the writer from episode 5, there's no doubt in my mind that we'll keep seeing this dynamic. I don't think they would have made the same choices if this had been a movie. But I won't complain that we got this. I hope they keep this going even if it stays subtle like in the show. Just hope they will add one explicit scene where one of the characters acknowledges their relationship. But even if we only ever get this show, it’s already a great love story. Let me know what you guys think and sorry for the typos and grammar mistakes, I was tired when I wrote the last part. I hope it still makes sense!
If you think they're only being portrayed as friends let me know why! I would also like to know about the way you see this!

Flowers
Every afternoon, when Buck arrived home, he sat on his garden facing the street and watched the people pass by. Buck noticed that every Saturday the same man crossed the park in front of his house, looked at his house for a second and then continued on his way.
Next Saturday, worried that maybe he was planning a robbery or something,  stayed home all day, but watched from the inside.
In the morning, at the time he was usually at work, he saw the man approach his garden, look around to see if anyone was watching, cut more than a few flowers and continued walking.
Angry, Buck chased the man, grabbed his arm and forced him to stop walking. “Why did you cut my flowers”. The man looked down “I just needed them for… ehmm. I’m sorry, you can have them back” he said while handing them back.
What could he possibly have needed them for? Was he meeting a girl and forgot the flowers? Maybe that was it. “Nah, no need”, said a little calmer, “Just let me go with you, so i can see the girl that was so pretty you had to steal some flowers for”, he added.
“You really don’t have to” he answered a little nervous
“I really do have to, it’s the only way to make up for my stolen flowers”, Buck insisted.
The man really didn’t Buck to go with him, but he couldn’t get rid of him and he didn't want everyone to think he was a thief so he ended up agreeing.
On the way there, Buck wanted to learn a bit more about the man, but the only thing he managed to get from him was his name, not even his full name, just how people usually called him: Eddie.
Eddie kept trying to get rid of him by saying stuff like “It’s a long way from here”, or “It seemed you were having a good time at your place, I really don’t want to ruin your day”, but Buck always knew what to answer, “I have time”, “You really aren’t ruining my day, you could make it better though, by telling me a bit about yourself”.
They continued walking until they arrived at a coffee shop. “Is it here?” Buck asked looking at the place, there was barely anyone in there, maybe he would stick around to grab a coffee for himself. Eddie grabbed his phone, checked a few messages and said “Well, apparently she couldn’t make it, sorry pal. Want your flowers back?”.
“No, I said you could keep them, and you should” Buck answered.
“Well, I’ll be leaving” Eddie left as fast as he could, so buck couldn’t stop him.
Buck felt sorry for him, Eddie seemed uncomfortable the whole time. Buck didn’t want to bother him, he just wanted to know more about him.
Buck sat somewhere he could watch the street, like he used to do at home. The first thing he saw was the cemetery across the street, that made him sad, he saw people coming in and out, not a single smile on their faces. But what got Buck even more sad was seeing Eddie go in with the flowers he had taken from his garden. Now it all made sense. How could he be so stupid? Of course the flowers weren’t for a girl, he had improvised the coffee shop and the message because he didn’t want Buck to see him go to the cemetery. Buck paid for the coffee and left as fast as he could, he didn’t want to interrupt or bother him again, but he needed to apologize.
Buck crossed the street and entered the cemetery looking for Eddie, he found him standing in front of two gravestones. Buck’s heart broke completely. He walked slowly closer to Eddie.
“Hey, I’m so sorry, I’m sorry I pushed, I realize why you didn’t answer my questions about her” Buck said with a soft voice.
Eddie looked at him, he looked like he was about to break. Even if he just met him, he went closer and gave him a hug. He just felt horrible, maybe if he hadn’t pushed from the beginning, he wouldn’t be that sad.
“It’s- It’s just not her” Eddie said sobbing “It’s my boy too” he added and started to cry on Buck’s shoulder. Buck looked at the other gravestone, it read “Christopher Diaz”, he was his son, Eddie had lost all his family and the only thing buck did was making him sadder.
They stood there for a while, Eddie crying on buck’s shoulder, buck stroking his hair to let him know he was there for him. Eddie stopped crying and looked up, “What do you say we go to get coffee? This time for real” he said with a smile, a smile that indicated he was a little calmer not that he wasn’t sad anymore. Buck smiled and accepted.
They went for coffee and buck finally learned a bit about Eddie, he was an army medic, that just got back from serving in Afghanistan. His family had died while he was serving and now he couldn’t forgive himself for “running away”. He then came to LA because he couldn’t stand living in that house without his family.
From that day on, Eddie would always go to Buck’s house on Saturdays and pick some flowers that Buck let him cut. Then they would both go to the cemetery, say a few words, sometimes cry a little and then go for some coffee. Eddie was glad he chose that house to steal flowers from, and not any other house in the neighbourhood.

As i said, my first time writing buddie, and my first time publishing in English. I still have a lot to learn, like how to write proper dialogue, or how to explain better the situations, and how to write better paragraphs.
So yeah, please have mercy, but also please leave some feedback. I need to know what I'm doing good and what to stop doing.

@charmandersoo
Out of all the mysteries in the universe, Kyungsoo has to be the one that intrigues Baekhyun the most. In comparison, nothing can really stand a chance, nothing (and no one) can make Baekhyun that intrigued. His fascination with the dragon shifter isn’t news to anyone, of course. If anything, Baekhyun always made very clear how much he wanted to get closer to the other even before he knew that he and the beautiful navy-colored dragon that impressed him so much were one and the same. He also thinks it’s unfair how long Kyungsoo goes without telling him what he really is, but he can’t hold that against him. In fact, it only made Baekhyun a little more interested in the end.
Kyungsoo is not an easy person, he knew that from the first day he stepped into their (now) shared dorm room. There were so many people warning him against the idea of moving there, so many telling him he wouldn’t be able to tolerate the guy (or maybe the other way around. It’s not worth the trouble, some said, he won’t like you, ‘he doesn’t like anyone’. Baekhyun would beg to differ (especially now).
Sometimes he looks at Kyungsoo for a little too long. Sometimes he stares. Sometimes it feels like he’s seeing him for the first time every single day. It takes him a long time to understand that those actions have a simple explanation.
(It takes Kyungsoo longer to admit it himself)
Kyungsoo is not good with words. Centuries of knowledge were not enough to give him enough proficiency with speech and expression. Kyungsoo’s default mood is grumpy, his default actions include seven different expressions that range from annoyed to ‘run before I kill you’ and all of them include some sort of glaring. Instead of menacing, though, Baekhyun thinks it’s fascinating and sometimes quite amusing. He has no idea why he’s only ever used level 3 of glaring at him, but Baekhyun feels proud of himself for it. Their conversations can get deep faster nowadays, but it was not always like that. A few months ago, there was no such thing as dialogue and conversation. Instead, Baekhyun’s monologues had to be extensive enough to make up for the lack of communication. The healer being (perhaps) too talkative would be a cause of stress in the near future, he’d have a few things being thrown at him or a door closed on his face when he asked too many questions. Yet, it was always Kyungsoo pulling back, as if some sort of regret threatened to consume him after he figuratively kicked a puppy.
He’s mean -- someone tells him when he’s out one day, picking up a few herbs and stuffing them in a little basket. He’s going to dry those later and do something with them, maybe even ask Kyungsoo if he wants to help with the process. Careful, he may bite you for even offering. He doesn’t let anyone be his friend, he’s too high and mighty for that. He probably thinks you’re human trash like everyone else.
Baekhyun asks anyway, raises his tone and challenges Kyungsoo into doing something fun. He gets a huff, but that is not a no and Baekhyun’s smile is so bright that it may as well rival the sun.
They both like flowers, Kyungsoo and him. He supposes that some kind of fate must have brought them together although he can’t explain why even if someone asks. There is something extremely endearing in the fact that someone seen as ‘mean’ by everyone would be so delicate when they handle the frail flowers they grow. Kyungsoo is sensitive, Baekhyun decides, and he likes that sensitivity, he convinces himself that no monster would be so gifted at keeping delicate things alive and blossoming with each passing season.
Kyungsoo’s garden is beautiful. He calls it ‘greenhouse’ although it’s mostly a mix of the two. “You spend a lot of time here, don’t you?” Baekhyun asks although he is given no reply. he knows the answer though.  Sometimes Kyungsoo brings over a few flowers, shoves them into Baekhyun’s chest and mumbles something along the lines of “you said you needed lavender”. Baekhyun thanks him all the same and then bursts into the dragon’s room later on, too excited to even think of knocking (which is something he gets yelled for all the time) and presents a small glass vial covered with a cork. A present, he offers, “It smells nice, I promise. A free sample for a special customer.” He may be imagining things, but he thinks Kyungsoo blushes a little.
Stereotypes are hard to break. People can’t change their opinion as easily as Byun Baekhyun can, but he thinks ignorance is a bliss because it makes the fact that he knows something they don’t, way more special. Kyungsoo is nice and oh-so gentle. He makes them food and sometimes Baekhyun’s favorites as well -- probably because he whines a little and he doesn’t want to listen to that for longer than necessary -- but still. He makes sure Baekhyun doesn’t forget the things he has to do (some days he’s just more forgetful than others, he can’t seem to help it) and he helps him not feeling so bad when he does something twice and someone else points it out. When he feels stupid for the things he does, Kyungsoo helps him feel better about it.
“Are we friends?” He asks over breakfast one day. Baekhyun has been up since before the sun was out, Kyungsoo took a little longer (as he usually does) but he still improvised a quick stew for them. Baekhyun is still lounging around in his obnoxiously bright blue boxers and pink shirt, wrinkled from having been what he slept in the previous night. Kyungsoo’s hair is in disarray, sticking out everywhere. Baekhyun pretends he doesn’t notice that the white fluffy sweater Kyungsoo is wearing has been missing from the healer’s wardrobe for three days now. Kyungsoo looks up but doesn’t stop eating, managing a hum instead and that just has to do as an answer because Baekhyun knows he won’t be getting another one.
“Are we best friends?”
“Aren’t you eager to label it...” he seems to dismiss it, but he should know there’s something else coming so he looks up from his food again.
“Yeah.”
“What’s the difference?” the dragon asks. Baekhyun wonders if he’s genuinely intrigued or if that’s just his way to go around it and not reply.
“Best friends are special. They’re more than just friends, they share more things, they act silly for each other sometimes because they can’t judge each other. There’s no real barrier, everything is allowed because you’re best friends. They can talk shit about each other but no one else can talk badly of them. You are sort of attached to the hip, you don’t lie about being busy so you don’t hang out because you’re comfortable enough to tell them you just want to nap and watch master chef on TV. They kind of stay around too. You know... for longer.”
He says the last part in a hushed tone. Kyungsoo frowns a bit, perhaps trying to understand the purpose of that request and maybe he wants to ask if something happened, if Baekhyun isn’t feeling well today, if he’s in one of his ‘sensitive’ days like Kyungsoo calls it. He doesn’t though. Somehow he thinks that a sassy remark doesn’t really fit that situation “If that’s what you want...”
Baekhyun smiles so wide that his eyes close completely and when he stretches his feet under the table to casually place his bare feet on top of Kyungsoo’s socked ones, the other nearly chokes on his kimchi.
No one would have placed their bets on them. In fact, there were more bets trying to figure how many weeks Baek would survive in the dragon’s lair than anything else. He survives the first week (barely because he walks in on Kyungsoo showering and nearly dies), then the first month (even after daring to fall asleep on the shifter’s shoulder), and the second one (who said petting a fire-breathing dragon was dangerous?). On the third month, Baekhyun finds out Kyungsoo has a thing for oversized, fluffy sweaters just like he does), on the fourth month, winter creeps on them and along with it there’s a cold dragon boy sliding under the covers, trying not to freeze to death. Baekhyun doesn’t mention how thankful he is for the company especially because he feels less tired in the mornings. (he dreams less too). On the fifth month, he tries to ignore the little tingles he gets every time Kyungsoo smiles at him.
On the sixth month Baekhyun kisses Kyungsoo. (who would have known he had it in him)
He forgets how many months have gone by, he’s not counting them at that moment and it’s so spontaneous too...  Kyungsoo looks adorable in that green hoodie that Baekhyun bought him for his last birthday and Baekhyun has been counting the freckles on his face for the last twenty minutes as the dragon concentrates on the task of making the perfect chocolate chip cookies. The entire kitchen smells like coffee and freshly baked sweets, Kyungsoo looks beautiful and Baekhyun has been trying not to do something stupid for so long that he supposes he can stop being a good boy and just rebel.
It doesn’t happen like in the movies, he doesn’t pull the other and steals away the most breath-taking kiss. Instead, he feels like it happens in slow motion, like he can count every heartbeat because he can hear it ringing in his ears. He approaches carefully, leans over to catch the corner of the shifter’s lips with his eyes open all the way, perhaps waiting for rejection. It never comes. Surprise, yes, he can see it on the other’s features, on his hands covered in flour, that remain motionless as if he’s been stopped in time. Baekhyun tugs on the green hoodie gently, pulling the older towards him so he can kiss him full on the lips and when Kyungsoo finally relaxes, Baekhyun closes his eyes.
It’s not like Baekhyun ever imagined what Kyungsoo would taste like, (he did), but it’s wonderfully sweet. It’s a sensory challenge; coffee and vanilla on his tongue, raspberry on his skin.
The back of his neck is white from where Kyungsoo’s flour-covered hands were holding him; he can still feel the roughness of his palms and his pilow-y lips over his thin ones as if all of it is nothing but a surreal dream. Thankfully this time, it’s not. He could find a thousand excuses for his behavior yet a thousand I’m sorry’s would never be anywhere near sincere because he isn’t sorry at all. Not when his name is whispered after a deep breath.
“Baekhyun”
“I’m not going to apologize.” he admits and there’s a slight pause before Kyungsoo continues.
“I didn’t want you to.”
