Ok but on a more serious note.

I started watching the Dream SMP in late 2020, mostly because I watched some of Wilbur's lore videos and I found them extremely entertaining, but also partially because I was going through a really tough time in my life, so I was just looking for something to hyperfixate on and avoid my problems at all costs.

Due to all of that, in all honesty, I had assumed my interest in all that would end in a few months, as do all my other hyperfixations. Yet here I was, in April of 2023, watching the final DSMP streams.

In some weird way, the fact that I took an interest in watching all these people play their silly little block game shaped me as a person. In the time I spent watching their streams, listening to their music and laughing at their jokes, I also grew up. I graduated highschool, I picked my uni degree, I moved to a whole different country for university! Most importantly, I met so many great people, both within the community and outside of it. As a person who spent their tween and teen years struggling with severe social anxiety, I've always found it hard to make friends, in general. The fact that I, by some miracle, managed to become close with people that just let me ramble on about Tommy's latest lore stream or whatever the fuck, in retrospect, means so much to me.

At the end of the day, I was initially interested in the DSMP because of the lore, but I stayed for the memories (and all the love).

Tommy said it the best: "Thank you for everything."
