Story Summary

With the war over, Alear was sure that Elyos would be able to find peace. However, things do not go as smoothly as he would hope. Eventhough his friends were working on rebuilding their kingdoms, there were still troubles that they ran into. When Alear receives word from Alcryst about something being amiss in Brodia, he ventures out of Lythos to try and help his friends. Hopefully he could help fix whatever this problem was.

Unfortunately, it does not happen as quickly as he would hope. Something is lurking in the shadows, and his past is catching up with him.

Chapter 4 - Brewing Trouble

Chapter Summary

Alear finds himself in trouble, but he cannot find an escape. Out of options, he follows Zirconia and Zincite. He only wishes he could have prevented this.

Meanwhile, Rafal decides to do his own investigation when he cannot find Alear, and he "borrows" the dragonstone Veyle planned on giving to Alear.

Battle Against a True Hellhound (Sayu crew and Sayu)

It was gym class when the monster came.

Remi did not enjoy Gym. It was hot, there were often too many people yelling. He would rather stay in and draw! But most of all, if their… unworldly qualities got revealed especially during Gym… they were going to be in big trouble. So he kept daydreaming about that next piece he was going to make with Sayu.

No. That couldn’t happen!

If anything happens to them or Torpedo-san when others find out… and all the fragile relationships they made get ruined… he knew he and his crew won’t be as happy as they are now. It’s as if he’s walking the… plank! After all, Zincite and Azurmalachite Mayday and Zuke turned out to be not too bad, but Homeworld was probably hellbent on looking for any traitors.

“Remi!“ His classmate yelled.

“Yeah!” Remi ran to kick the ball. So close...

He managed to kick the ball into the goal. Huh. Then Remi realized the goalkeeper was starting at something with horrified astonishment.

“Remi!” His classmate yelled again. This time, with more... alarm.

“What IS that?” Remi looked in the direction the classmate was pointing at.

A gem monster! It stood on four legs, had sharp jagged teeth, and had hellish horns growing from its head. Red. Red everywhere.

It bellowed.

“Get the teacher!” the other classmates yelled.

What could a human do about a gem monster

There had to be a way! Text Bunk Bed Junction, or get everyone safely out of here...

He remembered.

Bunk Bed Junction was out of town.

Crap. If only warp pads existed It was a good thing there was zero Homeworld technology they could use here. A fresh new start!

Suddenly he heard a huge CRASH.

“Remi! I'm going to deal with this thing, you run!” Dodo?

His former coworker and current friend was here!

“Didn't you have a math quiz?”

“Don't care.” He managed to jump out of the window and summon his sword. What was he, Tanjiro? Also, NO HUMAN CAN SUMMON SWORDS! They were so going to be in trouble after this.

Despite that, how he managed to fight was both graceful and sick.

Dodo kept trying to slash at the creature. The creature was just as swift and managed to dodge all the attacks. It pounced at Dodo, trying to pry him apart with its claws.

Oh right. Get everyone evacuated.

“Guys! This way!”

Remi led the class into the school building.

Only for the entrance to it be destroyed.

Rubble falling.

“Run left.”

A dismembered voice rang out.

Remi’s legs forced him to run left, to the direction of the auditorium.

Similarly, the class around him was doing the same.

“Get in the auditorium.”

They ran in, silently, calm enveloping their faces.

“Ohiamsosorryillneverdoitagain”

Tila was half crying as she mumbled those words. Remi could hear her.

With that, the auditorium’s speakers broke down.

Wait... how was she in the broadcasting room?

They were going to get expelled after this.

As if snapping out of a trance, the students looked around the auditorium.

“How are we here?”

“Is it safe?”

“Our team was winning!”

“It doesn't matter now!”

“Guys... I gotta go! The bathroom!”

Now was his chance. Remi ran out of the huge chamber, and took out his phone.

“Sayu! Sofa!”

“Sayu! Sofa! There's this huge monster and Dodo is fighting it alone! We need your help!”

As Remi feared, Dodo was losing. He was being pushed away into a wall by the hellhound, and was losing the grip on his katana.

“EDIT! SHRINK IMAGE TO 60 PERCENT!”

The beast shrank in size, now a size of a lion, instead of a hulking Kaiju.

Sofa was here!

He ran out of the different classroom and was looking rather tired.

“Sofa! Sorry for disturbing your Film Editing Class!”

“No worries, it was boring! Nobody uses Windows Film Editor nowadays!”

“Pyunn! Who wants a share of our love, Remi?”

Sayu smiled sweetly, trident twirled in hand.

“Now’s our chance! Dodo!”

Dodo, no longer pressed down by the weight of the monster, held tight to his katana.

“EDIT! EXPAND IMAGES TO 140 PERCENT!”

Sayu and Dodo grew in size, now larger than the beast.

Sayu readied her trident, and Dodo now held the massive katana in both hands.

Showstopper time.

“Love love katana shower beam!”

The beast screeched as it was hit with pink and blue waves of light, adorn with hearts.

The next thing they knew, the beast was nothing but a gemstone. A Carnelian?

Never mind. What mattered more was that they were going to be exposed. Caught. Separated.

Shattered.

Remi felt worthless. If only he was more useful than just running. He didn't deserve to be the "manager" of Sayu, he didn't deserve anything.

"You did wonderfully, if it weren't for your instructions, we wouldn't have been able to fintastically blast that gem!" Sayu smiled. She was too good for the world.

"Yeah, we better worry about being expelled first though." Dodo added. "We are... 'transfer students,' of course our lives aren't 'normal.' Whatever that means."

"About expelling you." The Gym teacher was behind Sofa's back.

Remi, Sofa and Dodo's back straightened.

"The four of you managed to minimize the damage of our school with your exceptional teamwork, and saved the lives of our students. So I'll turn a blind eye about this incident. Or your… ‘supernatural’ qualities. Do you happen to be with the band Bunk Bed Junction?

“Of course not haha….” Remi laughed.

The Gym teacher made an impish grin.

"Also because I'm a fan of Sofa's Let's Plays."

"PEOPLE WATCH THOSE?" Sofa yelled.

"Then this must be your first fan meeting. I'm Mira."

"I'm so honored!" As Sofa shook hands with his first fan, Remi saw Tila, and his classmates return.

"You did good, Tila. It was my fault I couldn't evacuate everyone and make the right decisions. Thank you so much. We couldn’t have done this without you.l Remi felt his eyes water up.

"It's... okay... besides... they told us we did a good job..."

She turned to the kids in gym clothes.

"Dude, the katana was so cool!"

"How did you EDIT that monster?"

"The heart shower! That was really cute and cool man!"

"Thank you for getting us out of there!"

Now Remi was fully crying, snot covering his face.

Sayu noticed, and snuggled Remi. "Awwww Remi, you did wonderfully! Love Love Sayu Pyunnn to you!" She whispered.

Soon... he felt the arms of Dodo, Tila and Sofa around him.

... just maybe, they won't have to walk the plank for a while.

Cleansing Magick

This is perhaps the most important magick that any witch can learn. When you're able to cleanse your space and your life, you're able to assert control over the energies that have access to you. Perhaps that's why cleansing is one of the first things that we're taught as baby witches. Keeping the energies that we surround ourself with clear and fresh is the first step to other types of magick. There are several ways you can start cleansing yourself and your space. Take these suggestions and run with them! - Actually clean your space. (Not gonna lie, this is one I need to work on...) The more you move old, stagnant energies out, by cleaning, organizing, and minimizing your things, the more you have room for new, positive energies. I find that whenever I clean my space thoroughly, I feel lighter and more free, and I also have exciting new energies come into my life. It can be a huge pain, but it's worth doing! - Clean your body. Treat showers and bathtimes as a purification ritual. Imagine the water rinsing away any negativity or 'gunk' that can collect and be stored in your body. Use special soaps or rub a little salt on your skin to amplify the cleansing. Use my Florida water or my smudge spray recipes and create a spray that you can use every night before you go to bed. This will help you get rid of anything that you don't want to take with you into dream time. - Clean your mind. Think about the things that bring you down. Too much screen time? Too much gossip? Too much stress? Do you have friends or family that put you in a negative headspace? How can you limit their affects on you? Make a list if necessary. Identifying the problems will help you find solutions and clear your mind. - Clean yourself spiritually. Periodically I like to do a small energetic ritual where I cut cords that I'm no longer needing. I then use my left hand to take back energy I've given to others, visualizing it coming back to me as a silver light. And then I use my right hand to project the energy I've taken from others back to them as a gold light. It helps me to keep myself to myself and not be caught up in others' issues and drama. You can also meditate on your bodies (physical and energetic) being cleansed from above by golden light pouring in through your crown chakra. Whatever floats your boat! And of course, now we need to talk about...

Herbs for Cleansing and Purification

- Hyssop- a brilliant cleansing and purification herb, and a worthy substitute for sage in your workings. - Peppermint- Great for a Winter seasonal cleanse. - Rosemary- Use in baths and cleansing teas. - Rue- Can be used by dipping a bunch into a cleansing water or tea, and sprinkling drops over your space. Also used in exorcism rites. - Sage- perhaps the best known for purification and blessings. Be careful with what you buy, and forego the white California sage (which is sacred to some Native Americans as a closed practice and is being over-harvested). Use garden sage instead (which is easy to grow yourself, and has just as much 'oomph' as white California sage). - Solomon's Seal- used in exorcism or cleansing. - Tobacco- Burn on charcoal to remove negativity. - Vervain- Used in purification incenses and baths. - Woodruff- A Spring herb, used to clear away the stagnant energy of Winter.
