okay. whatever. GEMSTUCK BE UPON YE. this is just a concept and i cant promise im happy with the color palette. shes an aragonite! which is a very common simple ass mineral. yeah im sticking with the blood caste ranking in terms of how fancy the gem types are

aragonite is (forgot how already -_-) related to fossils! so through narrative shenanigans i want her very first form to be a plain aragonite, but her allegory-for-godtiering form has fossilized remains in it :)

not sure if the aragonite -> fossil metamorphosis is scientifically backed, but honestly just the association being there is good enough for me

>Star Ruby aka Chuuya.

-Gravitational powers, usually pretty weak (Chuuya is rare and an outlier; he has the strongest control over gravity ever seen in a Star Ruby).

-Star Rubies are typically used for one of two purposes: those with strong gravity control are for construction (paired with Chalcedony's), the rest are soldiers.

>Chalcedony aka Dazai.

-Chalcedony's are architects/planners

-High intelligence, usually pretty high in rank

-Rare, kept out of war zones

-Assigned groups of Star Rubies and Bismuth's.

>Dazai and Chuuya were paired up for one of Blue Diamond's (Mori) colonies. Mori noticed the two of them due to their antagonistic relationship. Despite their bickering, they worked together perfectly. Amused by them, Mori took them under his wing. After observing them, he noticed Dazai's intelligence (high even for a Chalcedony), and decided to use him as a war strategist. Taking into account Chuuya's extraordinary control over gravity, he sent the two of them to conquer troublesome planets. The two would become known as "Double Black" for their terrifying partnership.

One Piece Gem AU

Thinkin about Sodalite a bit. I dont think he’s always been stable. I think that before, what he got made up with from ace and sabo was hate for authority and intense need to be independent. Now, what makes him up is love for luffy. And thats beautiful to me.

Ive been meaning to redesign Sodalite for a while, now. His design was before i realized that fusions dont have to be the outfits of the fusers mashed together. I like this design a lot better. I think its very punk rock.
