I had this idea back in my teens ‘cept instead of platemail it was leather clothing or a motorcycle suit.

They cover all vulnerable areas, quite the same way as plate mail, I guess - except plate mail is porous I guess, which gives a motorcycle suit a slight advantage. As well as the added mobility, being light-weight and more available in general.

why don't people in zombie apocalypse stories ever just wear suits of armor? you think any zombie is gonna get their shitty rotting jaws through this?
