“So you want to be a hero, Tommy?” he asks, a broad grin splitting his face in two. No, a soft voice whispers in his mind, farther, deeper, than Chat, there’s no hero here. Not in this fairytale. The grin curls into a sneer. “Then die like one!”

He strikes a match, and the Wither skulls he’d placed light up in purple flame.

This is wrong. You know it.

Screams rend the air, and a cackle - since when did he cackle? - erupts from his chest.

Wake up, Technoblade.

He blinks, and it’s as though a haze lifts from his mind. What is he doing? Why is he…

He sees Tommy stare up at him with the most heartbroken expression, and he knows that something is wrong. Something is very wrong.

Something in his mind wrenches painfully.

That won’t do.

No, don’t!

And then the voice is buried beneath waves of hatred and rage that isn’t his own - it isn’t. He struggles on the surface, fighting for air - a reprieve from the crushing weight that drags him down

He slips beneath the surface.

We have lingered in the chambers of the sea

He’s breathing, he knows he’s breathing physically. His body is fine, even as it fires another firework into the air.

By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown

He gasps for air anyway, fighting, writhing, kicking with all his might against the currents. He feels his legs begin to numb.

The waves won’t let him go so easily.

Till human voices wake us.

Techno drowns.

I think it's so cool to see Dream SMP animatics use the same songs that everyone used to use for animatics months ago (like Hamilton songs for example) but now there are new interpretations of the lyrics and the way they match with the current SMP!

Using new characters and animating new events but set to the same songs as were popular during the L'manberg war era is so nostalgic and poetic, it's kind of showing how far the server has come and progressed and evolved over time and I love it a lot.
