Fic rec week: Gen/Team

Ayo it's the final day of rec week, and we're capping it off with gen and team fic! The moodboard for today is for The Words Upon Our Skin by Exrong

Why you should read: A great character piece that's adjacent to one of my favorite fic tropes, platonic soulmate aus, and takes an indivudual look at each ninja and what makes them tick!

Lloyd lets out a curse word in front of the ninja, and not everyone takes it well.

Why you should read: literally had me laughing out loud reading this -- combines one of my favorite Kai headcanons with Nya headcanons and has a great s1 Nya & Lloyd against the world plot to boot

Jay and Nya are desperate to have just one nice day out together, but things go rapidly downhill when everyone they know wants to join in.

Why you should read: a very fun, lighthearted fic -- cameos from a bunch of characters, not just the ninja, and it's just a really silly enjoyable romp

Why you should read: v good early seasons fic that had great characterization of all the ninja!! cute and h/c all in one :D

Meet Quartz, the Elemental Crystal Dragon :D

She's designed after a Japanese dragon hence the lack of wings, so she "flies" by running on air and likes to do a lot of loops/flips/tricks while in flight. She can also breathe crystals and while she's basically just a cat in dragon form, threaten the Master of Crystal and she gets way less cute and cuddly-

Been meaning to share my Winx fairies for a min so here they are! They all go to Alfea and their group is just called The Girls lol~

From top to bottom:

• Juliet, Fairy of Love Princess, Guardian Fairy, and certified cornball. She's a social butterfly, hopeless romantic, and lover of romance movies and novels no matter how cheesy. Her powers are mainly emotion-based, and in combat she usually attacks by manifesting the strength of her love or the love of those around her into magical energy.

• Beryl, Fairy of Minerals Tsundere tomboy who can and will fight you, but a softie deep down. Loves hiking + anything having to do with rocks and lives with her older sister when not at Alfea. Her powers allow her to summon, control, and manipulate various minerals, from rocks to crystals to precious stones.

• Destiny, Fairy of the Mind Shy but sweet gal who loves studying, especially philosophy. Born blind. Her powers range from telepathy to releasing destructive brain waves to detecting when other minds are present and where they are, which helps her get around. Also a Guardian Fairy.

I really love these three so expect to see more of them at some point >:) in the meantime I have more info about them on my Toyhouse

This is kind of old, but since I posted it to my IG, I figured might as well post it here, too. 

Just some fun, dance-y Donnie-and-Aprils.  They’re hangin’ out, havin’ a good time, tearin’ up the dance floor together as you do. This doubled as a style study, as it was one of my first attempts to copy the look of the show. I had a much easier time getting the hang of drawing Donnie than I did April, which you can probably tell at some points, lol. 

There was originally supposed to be a sequential order to these, buuuuut it pretty much got lost the more I worked on it. So now it’s just a mish-mosh of dance-y doodles, haha. Anyway - enjoy!

Me coming out from under my rock to make a ref sheet for another OC I made 7 years ago? It’s more likely than you think

Anyways, meet Hazel :D She goes to April and Casey’s school, where she writes for the school newspaper. And yes she’s Timothy/Pulverizer’s girlfriend bc he deserved a happy ending!! They’ve been best friends since their first day of high school, and when he goes missing she makes it her mission to find him, which is how she meets the Turtles.

She does investigative type journalism, so she’s written about a lot of the weird stuff that goes on in NYC, including Tim’s disappearance–Jack Kurtzman is her journalism idol. She also has a pet Yorkie named Ares who is an absolute menace lol
