this reminds me of the hopes I used to house for all my ideal days. I collected all my ideal days like a stamp collection, outlining the perfect, little things I will do each day. as the golden light would soak into my skin, I’ll finally be talented enough, get over the immense art block I have which has made me unable to enjoy drawing and bridge the gap of skills from neglecting the practice for so many years. and then I realise, my ideal days were never me hoping for small, little things. I was begging and desperate for a miracle to happen.

one day you think: I want to die. and then you think, very quietly: actually. actually. I think I want a coffee. a nap. a sandwich. a book. and I want to die turns day by day into want to go home, I want to walk in the woods, I want to see my friend, I want to sit in the sun, I want a cleaner kitchen, I want a better job, I want to live somewhere else. I want to live.
