Something that grasped my eye were these manipulated pearls. Even if we are now in 2016, I still find myself longing for the adaptation of these Stella McCartney pearls on everyday looks.

I am fond of traditions because they build cultures. However, time passes and all develops and traditions should not be amiss. The stunning look of the classic pearls’ brave look teases the eye and catches the sight.

Who knew early 2000′s long pearl neckleces could have the ultimate plot twist.

 It’s been way too long since I have posted anything in here. Life in general has kept me busy. I’m glad it has, however, I do not want to let this blog die. Not when it’s not even alive.    In this summer I paid close attention to what I believe are my preferences regarding make up.   In my region summer is so hot, that wearing full makeup is just nonsense, 5 minutes that you are outside, it will melt. So not only did I started wearing less makeup, but I also held a close eye to natural beauty. However, don’t think you have to leave all makeup to be a natural. In my opinion these are the top cosmetics to keep your look natural yet polished:

  Groomed eyebrows should never be taken for granted. They are the key to any look and instantly complete your facial aesthetics, bringing in a whole lot of symmetry to the picture.    “Big eyes to see better.” Just like the wolf in Little Red Riding Hood would say, bigger eyes do give a better view. Adding contrast to your eyelashes contours the eye, causing it to pop out and look more dramatic.   Who is not cute when blushing? I think the answer is nobody. Adding color to your cheeks makes your skin look healthy. Who knows maybe you DO eat well and lay in the Sun once in a while?   Lipstick. Add rosy lipstick if you want to keep the natural look. I do not recommend dark lipsticks for this look because the contrast would be too high. It’s better to just wear any color resembling your actual lip color.   The concealer + powder are there only for situations such as dark circles, not even imperfections such as zits to be honest. The only reason I like to cover my dark circles is because the darkness and the blush, for me do not seem to match. Also, lipstick requires a uni-tone background.

  Finish by adding your personal favorite accessories. I like to add my golden ring and my gold retro Casio watch. Sometimes I combine it with a simple necklace or small earrings.

And just a reminder, never forget your sunglasses!

Hello readers!   Tonight I'm covering Gianbattista Valli's Fall 2015 Ready to Wear. This quaint collection completely captivated me. The sandals are so powerful, they make me think only powerful and confident women are willing to wear them. They are super eyecatching yet not overwhelming, which is something I deeply respect. There's a very thin line between eyecatching and overwhelming, but these sandals are just right. 

  One of the things I like the most in the world are hugs. Being able to hug is like translating your caring sentiment to the physical shape. And you cannot deny that that red dress is not hugable. IT IS SO HUGABLE. I love the red velvet color because it is so reaussuring to the sandals, showing that not only do you "walk the walk but also wear it". It is also an amazing piece to have on your closet because it's full and it's a single piece, there is not much needed to this dress. It's full by itself. Just like an intelligent soul.

  Now on the dress on the right. I loved the palette, I loved the fuzzy tube top! The only thing I'd go nuts about is the turtle neck because personally I don't like turtle necks, but the fabric seems fresh and nice on the skin. The skirt's layers are airy and give it a sense of freedom, something I LOVE.

  I picked these two dresses because they combine 70's and Renaissance in an elegant and perfect way. The palette is really calm and vintage, makes me think of books. The diverse fabrics used were well picked and executed great, they're different but still get along--coexist. The shoulders are something I'd like to point out because of my intimidation of bigger than normal shoulder pads, a shoulder pad revival would really serve me to face my fears.

Hello readers!   I'm back after a very busy schedule, but ready to keep on blogging and talk fashion. 

  There's something I liked about Dior's Fall 2015 collection, and those were two things. The eyecatching curves. I think of windows when I see them, like see thrus to a deeper level, the soul or spirit. Their positioning is executed well. It guides the eye to explore into new horizons where the dress/coat doesn't end there, but is continuously in flowing motion. 

  As for the boots, they are so heroic. Wonder Woman just updated. I loved how empower the legs, could this be the time where pantyhoes are being called battle on?

  I definitely see more than just an outfit. I see exploration and heroism. When fears are beaten. Where heroism is linked to the soul of wonder. When you find what you think will beat you, but you end up winning. That's what happens when you wear Dior.

Hello Readers! As you already know NYFW ended this past Thursday February 19th, and LFW has begun! I have not looked into many runway looks, but decided to begin my look through with designers I had never reviewed. 

German designer MARKUS LUPFER highlighted something I learned from Elementary school and Europe: tennis shoes might just go with anything. On his Fall 2015 collection Lupfer works with rigid patterns and fabrics and combines them one-on-one creating a uniform look that is sure to steal many looks. (I'd totally wear the look on the left to a job interview, the middle one to a dinner date, and the third one to a party) Lupfer incorporates socks (I LOVE SOCKS), and uses them beautifully. Who knew combining socks with beautiful dresses would look THAT amazing? (I always did). 

Now, as you may have noticed I'm big on comfort, (this is where the Elementary/European teaching comes in) and tennis shoes might just be the most comfortable thing ever (after a hammoc). Through out Elementary school I often saw kids wearing tennis with ANYTHING, dresses, jeans, bermudas, pants, I could go endlessly. And, in Europe I saw so many people with coats, jeans, leggings, sweatpants, or pants wearing TENNIS SHOES. The key is that you find those GREAT tennis shoes you like and can wear for many hours.

You may be saying to yourself, "Well yeah, that looks cool, wearing tennis shoes, but I'd never pull that off". Well that's wrong!

    The best way to gain self-confidence is to do what you're afraid to do           -Unknown

So, let go of the fear of matching comfort and dressy, and combine those lovely tennis with that lovely dress! Wear it your way and wear it with confidence!

Hello readers! How's the soul feeling? Today I'll be covering a very important subject: EYEBROWS. They are everywhere and everyone seems to  be on the competition of who has them at their best. Personally I absolutely adore thick full eyebrows. They look natural, strong, and characteristic. I went ahead and did some research regarding the meaning of thick eyebrows, and found this:

That's why I picked these three beautiful and successful women, Cara Delavinge, Jennifer Connelly, and Lily Collins. The one I happen to know more of is Cara. And from what I know, I can infer that she is confident, positive, and committed. Her instagram has from "ugly selfies" to inspirational quotes, and for some reason I happen to believe that she actually does put them to practice. Now I have no doubt as to why we happen to fall in love with all the thick eyebrow beauties.

Hello fashion lovers! Today I picked one of my favorite accessories, the double sided earrings! Maybe you have seen them before due to Dior. And I'll be honest, at first sight I honestly felt no attraction to these particular earrings, in fact I believed that they were going to be just another trial and error of modern fashion. Yet I really did wish there was a new earring that would just blow people's minds off, like those button earrings back in 2007. It's been many years before I see a trend as hot as that one. And though it's too soon to call these double sided earrings a settled trend I can presume them to be one. Why? Well because they are comfortable! They are easy to put on, unlike the many too elaborate earrings the empires tried to push down our throats, I mean they looked super fine on the runway models, but for the daily life they looked a bit to complex just yet. These earrings, the double sided earrings, I encountered them on an express shopping spree, in which I did not have intentions on finding a pair. But I saw them there next to the so many usual style of earrings, and I told myself "Why not", so I went ahead and bought them. And once I put them on, IT WAS ANOTHER STORY. I fell in love with its aesthetic. So if you haven't already done so, give them double sided earrings a chance! They will steal your heart!

I had been waiting for a collection I liked enough to do for this new year..and I just found it! It's actually a PRE-COLLECTION, but it's too good to not talk about it. Valentino strikes! This is the 2015 fall pre-collection. Personally I would of had edited it a bit, but at the same time the whole set got me so hooked that I can't wait for the complete collection to come out.

As I was looking at the collection I got a vibe of '00 because of the cornrows, which are sick. The whole color palette just reminds me of Windows 98 as well. Yet the pieces don't hold a 90's structure, which is great because all the 90's resemblance had me so weary already. Let's talk about the purse though. It's beautiful. Italians have a way to do purses like no one else I believe. They are so eye catching, durable, and in lovely materials that stay in place. The outfit on the right is lovely, the skirt's material is almost magical, it reminds me of the sewn rugs at the Vatican, undeniably elegant and elaborated.

   Ok now the sandal heel is a piece I need in my closet ASAP. They look comfortable, dressy, even sort of ballet related. The upper full coverage vs the shortness of the dresses is beautiful and well balanced. The pre-collection has some amazing prints from floral to cargo to hearts to some sort of 90's style. On the left we see some of the star prints. It's been a long time ever since I wanted to see stars and space and shine on a print, and I'm not talking about those galaxy prints back in 09-10, but a more symbolic almost fictional portrayal. So I find myself completely satisfied to see Valentino execute the dream I had for a long time, and for it to be done in a beautiful and elegant manner. On the middle: I loved the combination of colors and print, they have a flow to it that makes me wear it all day and be looked at. It's sexy but also classy, and practical. Just about what all of us need, am I right? Now on the left we have the hearts theme print, as soon I saw it I swooned. It's just charming I literally fall in love as I move my eyes around the piece. The palette is just a cupcake. The boots on the same print do it to me, I would wear that complete outfit just as it is.

These are the dresses you've been constantly seeing on dashboard! The long dresses that are part of the pre-collection are all so unique and beautiful. They look like a dress that would be worn by Lady of Shallot. The fullness of each dress is perfect, and has an upgrade on the florals we had previously seen. They took floral print to a new level and added a fuller look I'd say, that even includes the flower's stem. It almost gives a resemblance to Mexican traditional costumes. The purse on the middle image is so pleasing to the eye, it's extraordinary. Fringe could be back, but only in a shape like that, we've had our trial and error time already. Now the last look on the right is just MAGICAL, I've used that word several times already, but it's just how I feel about the pre-collection. On this outfit I see woods, nature, waterfalls, contact. I believe that the model is in the woods, that she is mother nature herself! The structure of the dresses makes me remember some 70's dress I have..I'm glad I can use it now, I thought I was going to be looked at as off a history book.

Hello readers! During my fashion research I came across someone who surely caught my eye. Her name is Kelly Talamas and is the editor in chief of Vogue Mexico and Latin America, oh and she's only 28. She majored in journalism and economics at the University of Miami. And after several internships on local magazines, she later worked for Ocean Drive. It was then when she met a friend who told her about Eva Hughes' (former editor in chief of Vogue MX and LA) office in Miami. Talamas presented herself to Hughes and started working as assistant editor. Later on Talamas took the title of editorial coordinator, fashion editor, and finally editor in chief.

I will be posting little bio's of all Vogue's editors in chief. Wait for the next one to come. I'm doing this just so we can know our main current fashion people.

Hello readers!  Today I was thinking about what could be fashionably useful for all of us that didn't have to involve clothing since we're all in the same season, but not with the same weather. So I picked one of the greatest buys I've ever done; This is the magestic, mysterious, marvelous...magic lipstick! I accidently bought them because I believed their actual colors would be their final color..But I was so wrong! They all give the same color at the end, which is highly like the big kiss on the napkin of the picture above. Not only is this magenta color amazing, but it lasts longer than all the Godfather movies together..imagine that, and no, I'am not exaggerating. The magic lipstick also makes your lips extra soft and adds a submisive shine that looks like you're wearing the best brand in town, while in reality magic lipsticks are tremendously cheap. So if you ever come across them while out shopping and wonder about how they work, don't even wonder just buy them! You won't regret it.

Happy new year's to every single one of you! I hope your year is filled with great surprises and joy to be shared with all those you love and will love. This past holiday I went on a shoe spree, and one of the shoes I bought were some tassel loafer flats on black color. I really liked them because of the simple way that they are elegant and comfortable. There's a wide variety of colors in which you can buy them. I like to pick some that are somewhat out there, but not too much so I can use them with various outfits. The most neutral ones could be those in brown or black. Prints such as leopard or anything with neutral colors combined are more hip. Even neutral colors with bright accents are calm, but if you want to go all out don't be scared and pick those that shine! In metal gold or silver, tassel loafers completely lose their "old" look. What's best about them is that you can buy any color and wear them in any way, at any season! Shorts, skirts, dresses, jeans you say it! Turn any piece into an elegant outfit with them, and don't worry for your feet I can asure you they'll be in great comfort for many hours!

Bonjour readers! Lately I had been brainstorming on what type of article would be useful for you all. And I think I picked one that is perfect! For all of you who are going out of town to celebrate the holidays I compiled what I believe to be the must takes for a perfect vacation, both for colder and warmer climate destinations. 

This collage I made is for destinations that are cold, but not snowy.  To make every outfit fashionable it's not necessary to take your whole closet, but just signature pieces. (Trust me, you do not want to be carrying huge luggage on your trip, unless you are traveling for more than a month). For cold weather destinations it is essencial to take:

1.- A coat It has to be a coat that you can wear for shopping or for dinner. A coat that can be dressed up and dressed down. Any color of your personal choice is great. I prefer either a neutral tone or one that is very eye catching, yes I am an extremist in that way. Preferrably take a long coat (above the knee or just on the knee) that is not too bulky, so you can be comfortable enough to walk around in it for a long time.

2.- Boots For boots I rather pick ones that are casual, unless you are attending exclusively formal events. I like the buckle booties (refer to my article on buckle booties for more info), riding boots are also a good pick. What I intend to get from the boots I take to my vacation are three things: comfort, style, and warmth. 

3.- Hair products What I mean by hair products is not shampoo, though if you cannot live without your specific shampoo, go for it; personally I don't like carrying anything that could be provided for me at the hotel. By hair products I mean hair curlers and/or flat irons. Anything of such sort, wil most likely not be provided by the hotel's service, so don't forget to pack these in case of any bad hair day. Seriously though, do not forget to pack them!

4.- Black (thick) leggins Black leggings are a girls bestfriend who cares about jewels anyways. Black leggings are perfect to wear for the flights/buses you'll take, and if you have more than a pair, take them take them take them. Black leggings will save your from any unexpectedness, and they look great and dressy. Make sure they're THICK leggings though, we don't want anyone to be suffering cold or accidents...

5.-Lipstick I love lipstick it makes literally everybody more beautiful than how they already are. I like either bright hues such as orange, red, magenta, or dark hues such as burgandy or dark purple. Yet, really any lipstick of your prefrence is great. And if you're not convinced enough, think of this: they'll keep your lips from getting chapped.

6.-Sunglasses Always, always take sunglasses with you. Just take them, you'll thank me when you're there. Don't loose them!

7.- Heels Closed heels are the ones to take to cold climate places. Please do not take open heels unless you wear tights, or else you'll be cold and most likely feeling out of place. Take some heels that fit whatever you want to wear them with. 

Now if you are spending your holidays on a warmer tropical sunset paradise type of place, apart from the sunblock, tanning lotion, hats, pashminas, and swimmingsuits you cannot forget to add these to your luggage: 

1.- Jumpsuit Instead of the already worn out shorts, take a jumpsuit! I love jumpsuits because they are extremely comfortable. Take several, and if you have them on various prints that's even better. I don't only pick jumpsuits over shorts because they are fresher, in the way that many don't wear them, but because they keep it flirty and fun for those of us that would rather cover up a little more. You can wear them on top of your bathing suit and they still look great!  

2.- Cute sandals I know you must be saying, well duh I'm taking sandals, but by cute sandals I mean those sandals that you keep in your backpack while you're out and about on the beach swimming, running, etc. These are meant to be kept dry, they are the "extra pair". 

3.-Waterproof mascara Being on warm climates makes us sweat, so wearing elaborate makeup is not the best decision, especially when you're going to be swimming and running and what not. Yet what does not melt is mascara, waterproof mascara, one of the greatest inventions up until to now. Take it on your backpack always! And tell me who does not look cute with wet hair, tanned skin, and long lashes...where them boys at?

4.- Sunglasses Sunglasses are one of the things people mostly forget about, which is ironic, because if there's sun without them it's a pain to be looking around. Don't forget them...

5.-Hair bands With the wind, the sand, the salt, and the water your hair needs to be able to find some sort of path on where to go, or else it gets way too crazy. Taking hair bands is out of the question. I found some online that are super peculiar with colored hair on them! Pick your fave.

6.- Plastic backpack Last but certainly NOT least is the plastic backpack. I specifically call out plastic backpack, because a regular purse will get destroyed with sand and water, and not only the bag itself but all the items inside. That's why I rather pick a plastic backpack that way I keep all my stuff clean and tidy for when I need it, and I don't have to worry wether my backpack is someplace dry. (All the items I mentioned, take them in your plastic backpack!).

With this I conclude my list of signature pieces for traveling, note: these are not the only things you should take, but are those things that you will end up needing on your stay. Other uselful advice I can give you is: don't take towels nor too many accesories, don't buy more than 10 souvenirs, take all your chargers in a special bag, don't take more than 2 purses, and take extra underwear. I could go on and on with more advices, but I'd write a whole too much, yet the single one advice I cannot miss is, have fun, have so much fun everyday all day!

Hello fashionistas!

It's 11 days 'till Christmas! I hope all of you lovely readers are having a great time on your Holidays. Remember that love conquers all and telling those you love that you love them is always best.  Carrying on with the article..I picked cherry hair. It's such a beautiful color as well as a color that even though it's not natural born, it's not overwhelming to the eye. This color is perfect for anyone who is trying to get a bright color that won't get their grandma too angry. Examples of who has worn this color are beautiful Ariel and Ariana Grande. I like it for this particular season of the year because cherry falls to the warm color palette, and for me, it creates a balance with the cold winds.

Hello fellow fashionistas!

Today I'm writing about something that is dearest to my heart. That is, buckle booties. I know they've been around for a while, but they are comfortable and edgy and I can't let go of them. I'm sure you can't either. The reason I find them a must have piece in everyone's closet is because of their versatility. They can either be dressed up or dressed down. I went over and looked up some how to wear them. Cara Delevinge shows us how to dress them laid back. Throwing an army jacket will always make a perfect pair with buckle boots. Always. Picking practically any bottoms and accessories of personal choice will for most of the time fit just right. And you can walk in them all day and not be tired!!! That's a plus. Beauty doesn't hurt after all does it? Now, on wearing them buckle booties in those dressy situations. Cara Loren. Adding sequins and leggings will make them look extra polished. Some cute earrings and practically any top will make you good to go!

Hello everybody! How is your November starting up?

November is one of the months I enjoy the most. I think fall is just perfect, not too cold not too hot. What I also like about fall, is that it allows me to wear my woolen hats. Two hats I find extreamly chic and wearable with anything (literally anything) are the bowler hat and the gaucho hat. I've been wearing my bowler hat for years now, and it's never outdated..because once it becomes annoying you have to stop wearing it because it's summer (its gotcha). The new addition to my prefrences is the guacho hat. What I like about it is that it's big but not too big. What I totally look for in a hat is that it allows me to see, yes to see! You'll rarely see me wearing a floppy hat, it blocks my side view and even my front view at times. That's why I stick with the gaucho hat, it's big but allows a clear front and side view. I've seen many gaucho/western hats lately, they are great! Preferably in the color black, those look good with a maxi skirt. I find them a bit more difficult to adjust. Yet any of these three are good to wear in the fall/winter, and if you have bangs that are impossible to manage, these fellas can be of big help.

A couple of weeks ago I saw the Chanel Fall/Winter 2014-2015 Ready to wear Runway. So I compiled what I loved about it.

 From the look on the left: I liked how the coat is fitting to the waist. The cut is very formidable and the length is great. The matching pants adds extra elegance, and the tennis shoes are amazing. I'll talk more about them in a little bit. From the look on the middle: I love how Karl adapted long coats and tennis shoes. It's so European and so comfortable. All the belts used in this collection are flawless. I like them better against bare skin, like when wore with a crop top, that's when they come out as sexy. From the look on the left: The plaid print is so beautiful. I would liked it better if they were only pants or tights or maybe a very hip jumpsuit. ( I wonder how it looks without the coat).

One of the things I enjoyed the most from the fashion show was the hair accessories. Because lets be real for people like me who can't afford to go buy Chanel tennis or coats, the hair accessories can become a diy. I loved their rawness, how you can see that they are scraps of fabric. They look playful and different. I want to see how it looks outside the runway.

 OK here is what I would probably run a marathon for.  These tennis shoes, Karl, I love you. Ugh, they are so great, so elegant, so fun, so versatile because of all the different colors and fabrics. I love how they mix a 90s vibe with the Chanel originality.

Milano Moda Uomo is the event where I wish I was front row at, but no, instead I am here telling you that. Milano Moda Uomo is where top Italian designers get together and do beautiful things a.k.a they show their prêt-à-porter pieces for men. I picked some of my favorite pieces from 3 fashion shows of yesterday...hope you drool as much as I did.

Ermanno Scervino.  - Amazing how Mr. Scervino was able to give a twist to polka-dots and make it wearable for men. They look so innocent, yet so tough because of the fabrics used. The outerwear is too good too great, it can practically turn any outfit to a masterpiece. The final touch with the sneakers is perfect, it's so Italian. It makes the outfits ready to wear on the streets. 

Frankie Morello. -MAKE ART NOT WAR. The graphics used by Morelo give me goosebumps which are emphasized by the general design of the thick line--extreamly eye catching-- across the shirts. As I went over the fashion show's pictures I had a feeling revolution, peace, sadness, and reality. Frankie, standing ovation to you.

Roberto Cavalli. -Last but not least is Mr. Roberto Cavalli. All these wild prints are making me cray cray!! When was it that V-necks were in? I cleary can't think of that because I'm too busy wondering how the seductive cleaveges are going to be used now..The bagginess is the perfect trick to give the flowness needed to process the beauty. Cherry on the top with the sneakers and the necklaces.
