15 minutes (and its different conjugations, from the 20 minutes of Larson and Da Silva to the T* of D'acci, where T stands for a reasonable time to reach the services) are a suggestion, not a rule.

The idea of time-to-services provides a simple and effective model to aid GIS-logical planning. By placing a non-permanent centre of gravity, you measure how many services are available within a short walk or bicycle ride. And design the city accordingly. The model is attractive because it leverages the concept of micro-community, an idea of a poly-centric city able to deal more consciously with the issues that concern it. It does not refer to ageing, but focusing on density and proximity suggests the attention to the natural support networks that originate from villages and small towns, which is normal for most European citizens. Carlos Moreno, one of the leaders of the 15-minute movement, suggests that a chrono-urban model considers time as a value and not a cost. As all models centred on a fundamentalist idea – the #15minutes in this case – it leaves open the doubt of the application. Fifteen minutes at what pace? Are they worth services even 17 minutes away? Are the fifteen minutes equally applicable to the centre of Paris, France and the centre of Paris, Texas? We believe it is worth giving a “meaning” to those 15 minutes like they did in #Bern where volunteers are individually connected with people living within a 15-minute walking distance who need support with everyday tasks, strengthening local solidarity and neighbourly relationships.

Aber wie viel Zeit, nimmt man sich denn wirklich, nur für sich ?? Ich bin 3 fache Mutter & kann ganz überzeugt sagen, Me Time geht einfach unter ! Heute weiß ich, wie wichtig es ist. Die letzten 2 Jahre bin ich dauerhaft auf Hochtouren gelaufen. 21 Tage am Stück durchgearbeitet, morgens wie abends. Auch die Wochenenden hat man dann gearbeitet um ausfälle zu verhindern oder mehr gemacht, um Kollegen in Schutz zu nehmen. Wenn man eigentlich Feierabend hatte, hat man noch Stunden mit Kunden, Kollegen oder höheren Vorgesetzten telefoniert, um plötzliche ausfälle zu kompensieren, Unzufriedenheit zu besänftigen oder einfach sich unter Kollegen mal auskotzen! Krank sein war nicht drin & selbst um Urlaub musste ich betteln. Dann sind da noch 3 Kinder, die krank werden, Hausaufgaben haben, für die Schule lernen müssen oder einfach mit einen spielen wollen. Nebenbei muss man kochen & die 100m² Haushalt, machen sich ja auch nicht von alleine.. 2 Jahre lief ich im Dauerstress - ja ich bin ein sehr Harmoniebedürftiger Mensch, aber ich kann vieles ab. Aber wenn man nur im Stress läuft & nur Stress hat ob auf Arbeit oder Privat, ist der Totalausfall unausweichlich.. Aber was genau ist eigentlich "Me Time" ?? & wieso ist es so wichtig, sich mal Zeit für sich zu nehmen ? # ME TIME # Was genau ist "Me Time"?? „Me Time“ (aus dem Englischen, übersetzt etwa „Ich Zeit“) bezieht sich auf Freizeit, die alleine & komplett im persönlichen Sinne gestaltet wird. Es geht dabei darum, sich eine Zeit lang nur um die eigenen Bedürfnisse kümmern zu wollen & dürfen, ohne andere Menschen dabei oder im Hinterkopf zu haben!
