i'm all good with blasphemy, desecration and defilement in destiel fanfics. my religious trauma thanks you all for your poetic writing.

but real defilement, desecration and blasphemy in spn would involve cas going full deranged after the nth fight with dean deciding physical violence and silent treatment don't work anymore so he simply smashes the impala's windows with the angel blade's hilt while looking straight into dean's eyes (who's living his own private NDE). then he just tilts his head, cold-faced with a hint of "oh i will do it" coloring his crazy blue eyes, adjusts the angel blade and proceeds to key the driver's side of the impala with the sharp end. boom, that's real in-universe blasphemy, desecration and defilement.

This is all Kalinda from The Good Wife being a BAMF vibes. Coincidentally, "luv song" by Jane Jensen that plays in the background of the scene is, to me, the destiel song par excellence. look it up, it's them.

Sure, Sam’s eyebrows shoot to his hairline once Dean starts losing patience and rifling through Cas’s pockets whenever Cas can’t find something.

What's destiel bait bracket?

Destiel bait bracket is a bracket of submissions from Y-O-U on what you consider the bait-iest destiel moment in the show. There were lots of submissions! So many submissions that before the real bracket gets started, there's an elimination round for the last six (6) seeds. This means there will be 6 polls, and the winner of each poll will be added to the overall bracket! Once the elimination rounds have finished, this post will be edited to include the full bracket.

The elimination rounds will start on Wednesday, October 18th at 12:00pm PST, and will run for 1 week. Subsequent rounds will run for 24 hours until the final round, which will again run for a week.

Metatron's line "he's in love with humanity" is SO fucking great because it's both true and false at the same time and I love it.

It's false because we know that Cas is not in love with humanity as in "human beings collectively". He loves them as God's creatures and he appreciates them etc but he's not IN love with the whole concept. So ofc in this context Metatron is fucking with him and being all subtext-y because humanity IS Dean. He is IN love with Dean/Humanity.

But it's ALSO true, because yes, Cas is IN love with the "quality of BEING human", of feeling things for the first time, art, hope, love, dreams... the whole shebang. And ofc this is ALL connected to Dean but it's also SO connected to just Cas... being Cas and him being able to feel and love and experience LIFE. And he's totally IN love with THIS whole concept even though it's super scary and he doesn't know half of it but it's still so tempting and beautiful and enticing and it's something that HE wants.

Gossssssssh, the more I think about it, the more I just love this line. It's so beautiful and clever. Also, Metratron one of the best villains in SPN, will not debate.
