Okay here’s the request I was thinking of - what if Karl, Mr. Time Travel himself, brings together all the children from all the timelines with all the different parents because his daughter from his own timeline is trapped in the Inbetween as punishment for Karl escaping to the other side, and what’s worse is that in his own timeline, the SMP members are beginning to forget she ever existed. He can’t go get her himself because the Inbetween knows all the tricks he’d pull since he was connected for such a long time. Just an idea, I’d love to see how the different readers with different parents would interact.
THIS WAS INSANE TO WRITE! It's also a lot longer than planned B) Hope you enjoy! Also! Someone tell me how the fuck I tag this XD Do I add all the parent pairings or not. Help??
The Many Faces of (Y/N)
Deals with Lost Ones Canon but this will not be canon and not everything mentioned is canon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was rather quick, the process. Some fell in, some simply staggered forward, some simply stood. Yet, all confused.
One with an (F/C) bandana was the first to react, leaping onto her feet, having been one to fall, her eyes locking onto the one with a smiley mask on the side of her face, that gave the bandana wearer bad memories. The bandana brandished her sword and the mask wearer reacted with the pull of an axe.
“Who the hell are you!” She demanded to the mask.
“Who am I? Who the hell are you! Put that sword away before you hurt yourself.”
“Oh, fuck off bitch!” She snapped.
One wearing a cape pulled her sword slightly from its sheath as she looked at the two similar faces.
“Why don’t we all calm down?” The cape said.
“Not until she tells me who the fuck she is! Especially with that fucking mask!”
One in a fox jacket took a step back from the rising tension as one in a split black and white dress shifted nervously at the anger, too afraid to speak.
“Hey! Let’s calm ourselves!” A girl in a green hat stepped between the trio.
“Why the hell do you all look like me!” The bandana exclaimed.
“We all look like each other dumbass.” The cape said as she fully brought out her sword. “Now put. Your weapon. Away.”
The girl in the bandana clenched her jaw as she looked at the one in the mask, steeling herself before darting around the one in the hat and went for her.
“Fuck you!”
A girl with a tiara went to stop the girl attacking as one dressed in a pair of overalls yelped in surprise when another one wearing a L’Manberg uniform intercepted the attack. The L’Manberg uniform held a bow and shot the sword out of the bandana wearer's hand.
“Ladies, can we please use our words instead?” She asked, putting the bow on her back as she dusted her uniform off. “No need for such weapons.”
“FUCK OFF! This isn’t your problem!” The bandana wearer protested.
Tense stood between the similar-looking teenagers, all able to tell the difference between each other by only their clothing.
Karl stood, still trying to get a word in when the final girl a blue hoodie came over to him, tugging on his hoodie sleeve. He looked at her and she held a piece of blue to him smiling.
“You looked stressed. Here, have some blue. Calm yourself.”
He took the blue from her, some of his worries melting but not enough.
“Oh dear. You filled the blue. Are you alright?” She asked him.
“No, that’s why I need to talk to everyone,” Karl told her.
“Ok.” She nodded, simply walking in between the tension, everyone mildly shocked by her boldness. “Hi! I’m (Y/N). You guys look a lot like me and that’s pretty cool! But he wants to talk to us. It will make him feel better.”
She pointed at Karl and everyone still stared at her shocked for a moment before finally giving Karl their attention.
“Hello…Uh, sorry about all this. I needed help and I had nowhere else to go.” He said.
“Karl?” The mask wearer questioned, putting her axe away.
“Yes. I’m not…your Karls though.” He said as the bandana wearer picked up her sword, worrying him, but she sheathed it.
With her weapon away, the cape wearer put hers away as well as she spoke. “Our Karls?”
He nodded. “I’m Karl from my universe. This is a place outside all of our universes.”
The girl in the bandana went slightly crossed-eyed as the one in the fox jacket came forward.
“Great, magic and crap. Why are we here?” She asked.
“The thing that makes this all possible, the Inbetween, it took…it took my daughter from me as punishment. It knows all my tricks, so I needed to do something completely unpredictable, even by the Inbetween.”
“And bringing forward a bunch of…us, was your battle plan?” The L’Manberg uniform crossed her arms. “We’re the same person.”
“I mean, we’re not.” The tiara said. “Some of us immediately drew arms as some of us stayed calm or moved away. We’re all even dressed differently.”
“Wait, what’s different about our universes?” The bandana brought back to that subject.
“You all have different fathers. That’s the most defining factor I went for.” Karl said. “I couldn’t bring several of my daughter, that’d be predictable. But several of you…”
“That’s a multitude of different possibilities. We’re all bound to do something different.” Green hat nodded.
“Well, you got to be Phil’s kid, he’d only wear a hat that fucking stupid.” The bandana snorted.
“Hey!” The green hat snapped before crossing her arms. “And you must be Tommy’s, nobody has a mouth that bad.”
“Fuck you! My dad’s amazing.” She held up her nose.
“He’s my brother and he’s an idiot.” She said, the one wearing a cape and L’Manberg uniform snorting.
“You wanna go bitch!” She challenged, putting a hand on her sword handle.
“No more weapons. Let’s introduce ourselves civically.” The L’Manberg uniform said, putting a hand on Tommy’s child's shoulder. “I’m Wilbur’s child.”
“That’s ironic coming from Wilbur’s kid.” Tommy’s daughter muttered.
“What does that mean?” She frowned.
“Nothing.” The other scoffed.
“I’m Tubbo’s.” The girl in overalls stepped forward.
“I’m Fundy’s.” The fox jacket raised her hand, Tommy’s daughter snickering about a furry and getting a glare in return.
“I’m Ranboo’s.” The black and white dress piped up timidly.
“I’m Ghostbur’s!” The blue hoodie grinned, make Wilbur’s child frown.
“I’m Eret’s.” The tiara curtsied.
“I’m Techno’s.” The cape crossed her arms.
“I’m Dream’s.” The mask said last.
“Ew.” Tommy’s daughter scrunched up her nose.
“Fuck off brat.” She scoffed.
“Bitch!” The other went forward but Phil’s child grabbed the back of her shirt to stop her.
“I know all of you have different nicknames from your fathers.” Karl stepped in to stop another fight before it started. “If we used them, it would be easier to talk to each other since you’re all named (Y/N). I…I call my daughter little traveler.”
“My dad calls me little blue!” The blue hoodie smiled widely.
“My father calls me Little Blade or goddess.”
“Little angel.” The bucket hat let go of the pouting girl.
“Big (F/L)!” The girl grinned now, lying about the big part.
“Little star.”
“Little Boo or Enderman.”
“Kit.” The fox jacket answered, not saying her other names.
“Little lamb or bee, whichever you like.”
“Princess.”
The girl with the smiley mask frowned, crossing her arms slightly. She didn’t exactly want these people to call her sweetheart. She thought of nicknames, little flame, little muffin, little color, but none of those were from her dad…except one.
“Little terror.” She looked away.
“Great.” Karl nodded. “Now that you all have different names we can use, we can make a plan…I-I’ve been trying to get out of the Inbetween, stop my traveling as I was forgetting too much. It didn’t like that and took (Y/N). Now it seems everyone in my world is forgetting her…I need to get her back.”
“Where exactly is she being kept?” Star asked.
“What kind of enemies will there be?” Blade questioned.
“Is it possible to just sneak in?” Angel added.
“I don’t know exactly where she’s being kept, I just know she’s deep in the Inbetween. And, with it being a powerful entity, it can conjure any enemies it wants and can see just about anything. That’s where the unpredictable patterns come in.” Karl nodded.
“Right, well, then let’s go fuck some shit up.” (F/L) grinned.
“We can’t just run in.” Star rolled her eyes. “Raise your hands if you can fight.”
Everyone raised their hands besides Blue and Boo gave a halfhearted raise.
“What’s with you?” Star nodded at Boo.
“I just don’t like fighting unless I need to.” Boo shrugged.
“Well, you’ll need to here, and you. Why can’t you fight?” Star asked Blue.
Blue shifted a bit nervously now as (F/L) scoffed, earning Star’s attention.
“She’s fucking Ghostbur’s kid. She won’t even be able to look at a fight.” (F/L) said.
“Who the hell is Ghostbur?” Star crossed her arms now.
(F/L) opened her mouth then closed it, frowning. Star was Wilbur’s kid. Meaning, she knew Alivebur but wouldn’t know…(F/L) looked at Karl with a few others, who shifted nervously himself.
“You’re all from different time periods in the SMP, some with different courses.”
“Hold up! That’s why you’re wearing a L’Manberg uniform?!” (F/L) whipped around to Star.
“I hardly see why—”
“He…Did you see Pogtopia?”
“(F/L).” Blade warned slightly as she stepped over, seeing not only Star stiffen but Kit and Lamb as well.
“I-I did.” Star nodded.
“How’d it end?”
“(F/L),” Angel said as well now.
“No, I need to know.”
“We won. We went home, what about it?” Star crossed her arms and gripped onto them.
“Because L’Manberg is gone. Blown up, by Wilbur. Who’s now.” (F/L) pointed at Blue, who was fiddling with a piece of blue. “Ghostbur.”
“That’s…Dad would never resort to such tactics.” Star clenched her hands. “Now we have different things to discuss rather than your wild accusations.”
“Wild huh? He—” (F/L) went to continue.
She was just scared and upset with old thoughts and memories that felt like they were surrounding her. She just wanted to take her anger out and didn’t see how she upsetting others around her. Angel did though and grabbed the back of her shirt, pulling her back with enough force, making (F/L) fall on her ass.
“You’re upsetting everyone. So shut up.” She told her.
(F/L) gripped her hands but did indeed see a few unsettled and an upset face on Blue as she stared at the piece of blue in her hands.
“Where do we start?” Terror asked this time. “We have to start somewhere to look.”
“I can send all of you into the heart of it all but I can’t come with. All I can offer are notes.” Karl told them, holding out a journal, which Boo stepped forward to take.
“Because it can predict you.” Blade nodded.
“So, we’re going in there half blind?” Kit huffed.
“I don’t want to send any of you in there.” Karl defended. “But I…I have no other options past this. Please, I hate to ask this, but please help me get my little traveler back.”
(F/L) stood up and dusted herself off. “Sure, whatever, as long as I can fuck shit up.”
Blade gave her a sharp whack on the back of her head and she glared at her.
“Alright, well then…everyone willing, raise your hand.” Angel stepped forward.
Star raised her hand and following after was Terror. (F/L) and Blade raised their hands next as Blue followed suit. Kit sighed, before raising her hand as Lamb nodded raising her hand and Princess as well. Boo hesitated before raising her hand. Everyone was willing to help.
“Then we’re as ready as we’ll ever be.” Terror nodded.
“Ok, everyone, please be careful. I hope to see you soon.” Karl said as he closed his eyes before reciting a few words, creating a new portal.
The different versions of the teenager looked at each other before they each jumped in, Blue being the last as she waved a happy bye to Karl. The portal closed and Karl sighed. He hoped everyone would be alright…
All the girls stood in an empty room a few doors at their disposal, several of them resting hands on their weapons.
“Alright, where do we start?” Blade asked.
“Well, there’s no time like the present!” (F/L) said, going to a random door as Boo was looking through Karl’s book.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Lamb warned her, following quickly.
“We’ll be fine.” She opened the door and there was a normal-looking hallway. “See? Nothing to worry about. Now come on, we got shit to wreck. Treasure to possibly find.”
“How are we all the same person?” Star muttered, Lamb looking over at the others in question. “Come on.”
Everyone went to follow until Boo spoke up.
“Be careful. Karl says as soon as the Inbetween knows we’re here, it will try and trick us. Turn us around. We’re going to have to be careful.” She said as she looked at the others.
“Then let’s make as much ground as we can before it figures out.” Blade nodded.
Boo closed the book before everyone started making their way down the hall, (F/L) in front with a hand on her sword. The hallway was purely white with columns holding up the ceiling above them, a few plants held on tables but after that, there was nothing else. No doors leading anywhere.
“How do we know it doesn’t already know we’re here and we’re about to walk down this hallway endlessly?” Kit asked, frowning as she looked to Blue next to her as she just hummed happily.
“I suppose we won’t know unless we keep going.” Terror mumbled.
“Would you guys stop complaining? I have a great sense of direction and I know this is the right way.” (F/L) rolled her eyes.
It was another good five minutes of walking before they finally reached one door at the end of the hallway.
“Thank fuck.” (F/L) huffed before opening the door. “Oh, for the love of--!”
Inside was a square room with different openings. This time though, they could see inside various looking rooms.
“Where the hell do, we go?” (F/L) crossed her arms as everyone gathered into the square room.
“What happened to your great sense of direction?” Blade snorted.
“Fuck off.”
“You got anything back there, Ender?” Star looked at her.
“Not much,” Boo muttered as she flipped the page. “Just that the further we go in, the deeper we get in.”
“And Karl said his kid will be deep in.” Angel put her hands on her hips. “So, we need to go through as many rooms as possible before we’re caught.”
“So, no more five-minute hallways.” Terror smirked.
“We can still go bitch!” (F/L) threatened.
“Well, maybe we should go in the nicer-looking room,” Lamb suggested.
“No, we need one with a door close by,” Star said, looking through the various rooms, ranging from being outdoors to an actual room.
“The courtyard looks safest; we can see nothing’s there and the doors just across it.” Princess pointed out.
“Yeah, it looks like the best way.” Star nodded. “Come on.”
The group walked through the door and with ease, went into a wider hallway, following that once more down till they came to a new doorway. It was much of the same cycle, they’d go through door after door, trying to get deeper into dimensions they didn’t understand and where they had no concept of time. They didn’t do much exploring, wishing to complete the work given, though some like Kit and (F/L) were a little eager to grab anything shiny while Blue grabbed several blue things she spotted.
As they were walking down another hallway that had other corridors, that was currently leading to dead ends, Star quickly hid in one of the corridors as she was in the lead as she hissed;
“Hide!”
Everyone was quick to follow her, some in the corridor across from her and some with her, all except Blue. Terror grabbed her though and pulled her into the one across from Star. The girls all looked to see something they’ve never seen. A human figure made completely of metal, but not like armor. It was pure metal everywhere.
“Boo?” Star whispered to the girl on her side and she was frantically flipping through the book as she tried to figure out what they were looking at.
“I-I don’t know.” She whispered back.
Kit stared at the figure walking from all of them and saw a faint red glow within the metal.
“It’s blocking the next door.” (F/L) hissed to her group on the other side. “Let’s just kill it, it’s obviously a mob of…some sort.”
“And how do you want to do that?” Terror motioned to it. “It’s made of metal.”
“And redstone.” Kit muttered.
(F/L), Terror, Princess, and Blue looked at the girl. Kit took a deep breath.
“It’s running on redstone. See the faint glow? It’s being powered by it.”
“What the hell is that?” (F/L) looked at it with wide eyes as Star frowned over at the others, unable to hear what they were staying.
“You break the circuit,” Fundy told Kit as he brushed the redstone away from the piston he set up with his sword and the piston went down. “You take away the power.”
“We need it out of the way and if we break the circuit, it doesn’t have power. I got it.” Kit said before sneaking out.
Star motioned furiously in a panic to know what was going on as Kit silently came up behind the thing. Years of practice helped as she quietly pulled her sword, seeing a redstone connection on the thing’s neck exposed before she swung her sword. She froze when it turned suddenly and caught her sword, staring at her with glowing red eyes.
“Fuck.” Star hissed before coming out, bow drawn. “Kit duck!”
Kit let go of the sword and dropped before Star let an arrow fly and hit its mark where Kit had been aiming earlier. The glowing eyes faded into darkness and Kit took a deep breath but panicked as the thing came falling forward. Lamb came swooping in and pulled Kit out of the way as it crashed down with a loud thud.
“That was close.” Kit muttered.
“What the hell was that?” Blade asked.
“We needed to get past it.” (F/L) motioned as all the girls came out of their hallways. “Kit saw an opportunity and took it to help us.”
“We don’t even know what this thing is!” Star argued.
“Whatever the hell it is, it was powered by redstone.” Kit brushed herself off after Lamb helped her up. “We broke its circuit.”
“Redstone?” Terror tilted her head slightly as she looked at the thing of metal.
“I think everyone forgot.” Everyone looked at Angel. “We were spotted, so let’s go mates before the Inbetween knows where we are.”
“Right.” Star nodded. “Let’s get moving quickly.”
She took lead once again to the door and everyone followed, Kit putting a hand on (F/L)’s shoulder after she gathered her sword.
“Thanks.”
“It was a good plan.” (F/L) shrugged before the pair continued.
They all entered the room to find a wide, empty room with…
“No doors. Great, it knows we’re here.” Blade muttered.
Kit scratched the back of her head in embarrassment.
“It was always going to find us.” (F/L) said. “Now, let’s find the damn door. Boo said it would fuck with us, so there’s going to be a door.”
Everyone, but Boo who was continuing to read the little facts they had, split up into the room a few going along the walls and a few checking the floor, even Blue after some convincing. They had all had their fair share of secret rooms and knew different ways to find them.
“Karl calls that thing out there a robot,” Boo told the others as she traced a hand over Karl’s drawing. “Kit was right, it was being powered by a redstone block core. Breaking one part of the circuit shuts it down.”
Kit smiled to herself for being right as she continued to knock along the wall.
“Hey.” Princess call tapping her heel against the ground hard as she heard something hollow under the tile. “I think I found it. The tile is solid though.”
“I got it.” Terror took off her axe. “Everyone, back up.”
Everyone stepped back before Terror held her axe high then slammed it on the tile. A crack appeared and began to spider web. Terror stepped back to the group before the ground broke open into a new room.
“There could be anything down there.” Blade said gripping her sword hilt. “So, everyone be ready.”
With simultaneous nods from everyone but Boo and Blue, all the girls jumped down and landed on the floor below. The good news was they could see the door a bit a ways from their group, the bad news was the several soldiers from different eras in time that stood in front of them, outnumbering them.
“To the door!” Angel yelled before starting the sprint over, nobody arguing as they ran with her.
Now behind them, the soldiers gave a battle cry and charged. Boo put the book in her bag to pull off her shield with (F/L) and Lamb and the trio blocked arrows that came from a few archers. Star retaliated in their retreats with a few arrows of their own but the soldiers would fall to dust when her arrows would hit their marks.
“What the hell is this?!” Star shouted.
“Doesn’t matter! The door!” Blade told her.
Angel flung the door open and held it open to let everyone run in before slipping in herself and slamming it shut…the door disappearing. She took a moment to catch her breath.
“I hate this.” (F/L) muttered and Angel turned to look at a thin bridge to the next door.
“We have to go forward.” Star put her bow away.
“Fuck me.” Terror shook her head as she looked over to see nothing but Void. “Alright. Slow across. Here we go, ladies.”
Nothing happened in the room, everyone just going across the bridge slowly, one by one. There was fear the door behind them would reappear but it never did. From there, it became much of the same.
The Inbetween messed with them through every door. May it be scares of long drops or hordes of enemies they often ran from, they saw a lot, though it never discouraged them. They didn’t fear, they continued to work. They made it room from room, completed puzzle after puzzle, passed enemy after enemy. All of this was honestly nothing more than they’d seen before. Every one of them had seen their fair share of battles and traps. It was nothing more.
They all pulled their weight as well. Blade, Angel, and Terror were doing well with holding enemies off with their fighting skills. Boo was able to call out a few traps with the knowledge of the book she had made through after so many rooms. Star, Kit, Lamb, and Princess were excellent at solving puzzles. Blue was also wonderful moral support.
“We must have made it through hundreds of rooms by now.” (F/L) huffed as they came into a large white room.
“Ender only knows.” Terror muttered.
“Hey, that door is different.” Star pointed out.
It was true. Across the large room from them was a large, heavy-looking metal door.
“We have to be extremely deep in.” (F/L) reasoned. “So that’s where Traveler must be.”
“Yeah, but this is too easy. An empty room with the one door we need? It’s a trap.” Blade muttered.
“What room hasn’t been a trap?” (F/L) threw out. “Let’s go.”
She went forward and everyone shared a look before following after her carefully. Just as Blade suspected, goop moved along the floor as they took several steps in. Everyone froze, having never seen anything like this yet in the hundreds of rooms they had gone through. Weapons were drawn as the girls all lined up side by side, other than Blue and Boo, who were a step behind everyone.
This had to be the last trap before the end and they’d succeed so they could all go home.
They waited for the goop to do anything but the last thing they expected was for it to start to take human-like shapes and all girls were gripped by fear.
In front of Blade stood Quackity holding an axe with a wicked grin.
In front of Star stood Schlatt with a smirk and hands in his pockets.
In front of Angel stood Tubbo with a decree in his hand.
In front of Princess stood Dream with an axe as well.
In front of Kit stood another Dream with a crossbow.
In front of Terror stood a third Dream with his mask fully on and hands in his hoodie.
In front of Lamb stood Sapnap with a flint and steel.
In front of Boo stood Ranboo with two purple eyes.
In front of Blue stood Wilbur holding a stick of dynamite.
In front of (F/L) stood a final Dream smirking with two discs in his hand.
In front of each girl stood their worst fears.
Blade gripped onto her sword tighter as she felt smaller like she had the first time she saw Quackity as Star’s throat closed; no words available. Angel felt like the walls were closing in and she was stuck once more as Princess remembered all the meetings her father had with Dream. Kit remembered her father taking ten paces from Dream as Terror shook slightly staring at her father. Lamb heard the sounds of sparking fire as Boo saw a terrifying man looming over her and Blue heard the whispers of who her father really was.
(F/L)…(F/L) merely stared before she took a step forward and gripped onto her sword. The Dream in front of her frowned before going for a sword on his hip. (F/L) snarled before leaping forward and slashing through the Dream before he pulled his sword. The goop’s image broke as it moved back before turning into another Wilbur holding dynamite. (F/L) simply spun and sliced up. The goop turned into Tubbo in a president’s uniform and she sliced down once more.
The goop backed off a bit as (F/L) let out a breath.
“They’re not real. You’ve faced these fears before!” (F/L) told them. “It’s pulling from your past so you’re stronger now than these fears. So, FUCK ‘EM! KNOCK THEM DOWN!”
The goop in front of her turned into a dirty and beat-up Tommy and she screamed.
“FUCK YOU BASTARD!”
She struck again and it inspired the other girls. Blade rushed the Quackity, spinning out of the way of the axe, cape flying as she cut through him. Star pulled her bow with speed and fired through the Schlatt’s forehead. Angel knocked the decree out of Tubbo’s hand as she rushed him before cutting through him. Princess weaved through attacks by the Dream with elegance before striking him. Kit ducked and nimbly went past the second Dream’s arrows before managing to land a hit.
Terror gripped onto her axe before facing combat with the image of her father. Fires sprung up around Lamb as she sprinted but she managed through them before leading over one and landing her sword on its mark. Boo and Blue, however, were defenseless. Boo was taking steps back from the looming form of the enderwalked hybrid as Blue shook and held her ears as the Wilbur spoke to her as he got close to her.
“This is who I really am (Y/N), and you know it. You know everything! You remember. You can’t keep it all out!” The Wilbur mocked.
Star and Blade noticed and before the goop in front of either of them reformed they sprung into action. Star aimed her bow at the ender hybrid and fired. The hybrid teleported and then appeared in front of her. She startled before pulling another arrow and stabbing the hybrid in the side making it fall to goop. Blade rushed to the Wilbur and slashed him down before he lit the dynamite.
(F/L) just struck down a Technoblade when she heard the clashing of weapons then a scream. She looked back and saw Terror had lost to her fear. (F/L) clenched her jaw before she turned and rushed.
“SUCK THIS GREEN BOI!” (F/L) cried cutting down the Dream as he had raised his axe over Terror.
(F/L) let out heavy breaths before holding a hand out to Terror. Terror stared at her hand before taking it and (F/L) pulled her up.
“I don’t know what he did to you, but fuck him.” (F/L) told her as she looked to see both of their goop piles retreating and a few of the others’ goop as well after they struck down a few more fears.
“Thanks.” Terror muttered as Blade struck down an angry Fundy for Blue before that goop retreated.
“Whatever.” (F/L) mumbled before seeing all the goop was gone. “To the door now!”
She didn’t push though as everyone took deep breaths and regained steady footing. She’d faced the fears before but it still struck her core. Though she wouldn’t let it show. She had to be strong and it was how she helped greatly on this adventure with her determination to strike down her fears.
Blue was now clutching a piece of blue as she handed out a few pieces to the others. Everyone took one at the very least as they gathered themselves.
“Alright.” Star took out a breath. “Let’s go get Traveler.”
They all walked forward as one to the door, (F/L) tall in front. Shouldering the door open, as it was indeed heavy, they found themselves inside indeed a prison block. There were a few other strange creatures and people around in different cells but they had only one person to find. That’s where they spotted the heavily guarded cage where five guards stood armed with different weapons in front of the cage suspended in the air. Inside, on the floor, sat a girl in a multicolored hoodie similar to Karl’s.
“We found her, now what? We can’t exactly show up armed like this. They’ll get reinforcements by the hundreds if they know we made it to the end.” Kit pointed at the armed forces.
“You’re right, we need a distraction.” Star looked around.
“…Or we need someone unarmed.” (F/L) said before looking at Blue and Boo.
“Oh, you’re not serious.” Boo went slack.
“You guys aren’t a threat.” Terror reasoned. “Just enough time for the rest of us to flank them and keep them in one place.”
“I hate this,” Boo muttered. “Come on Blue. Let’s go make friends.”
Blue’s eyes lit up and grinned before rushing out, making Boo startle and race after her. The others split up and went on either side.
From the cage, Traveler looked up hearing all the talking going on below her, and stood as she saw a different version of herself in a blue hoodie and another in a black and white dress.
“Hi! I’m Blue! You want to be friends?” The blue hooded girl beamed as the black and white dress shifted nervously.
“This is all that’s left?” One of the guards laughed as they approached the two girls. “You have no weapons.”
“We-We’re not fighters,” Boo mumbled, taking the back of Blue’s hoodie to pull her back from the guard.
“Run! Get out of here!” Traveler shouted.
“One less problem to worry about then.” The approaching guard stopped and raised their weapon.
Boo stiffened as Traveler shouted shaking the bars of their cage when she went silent as an arrow pierced through the guard’s weapon and sent it crashing to the floor.
“I’ll have you find it’s not very appropriate to point a weapon at a lady.” Star notched a new arrow and pointed the bow at the guard. “Knees, now.”
One guard tried to run to get help only to find Angel in front of them with a shield.
“Hey mate.” She grinned before slamming the shield into them, knocking them out.
Blade rushed another guard and tripped them over and knocked them out with the hilt of her sword. (F/L) and Lamb corned one between them and Lamb knocked them out as well. Kit jumped on the back of the last one startling them and causing them to move forward where Princess simply tripped the guard, making them fall flat on their face, knocking them out cold. The last guard got on their knees as Star came over. She elbowed them in the back of the head and they fell over.
“I thought you were about words.” (F/L) joked.
“Fuck off child.”
“We’re the same age!!” She threw up her arms as Kit went over to the mechanism holding up Traveler’s cage.
“Who are all of you?” Traveler asked.
“You.” Most of the group answered.
“We’re you with different dads,” Boo answered more clearly.
“Really? Wow…” Traveler muttered. “Do you know where my dad is?”
“You’re in luck. He sent us. And he said you might be able to give us some sort of reward—”
Blade smacked (F/L) on the back of the head making her glare at her.
“Ignore her. He did send us to confuse the Inbetween and here we are.” Star said.
Kit let out a noise of victory before managing to lower the cage.
“Back up.” Terror instructed Traveler and she stepped back.
Terror struck the lock on the door with her axe and it shattered. Traveler came out grinning.
“Well, it’s a pleasure to meet all of you.”
They all gave various gestures of greeting before an alarm sounded. The group bunched up together, pulling out their weapons.
“We’re going to have to go through all those doors again,” Princess said.
“We might need to fight to the door.” Blade reasoned and Blue whimpered.
“No, we won’t.” Traveler told them. “Everyone, grab on to each other and someone hold onto me.”
Everyone shared a look but they had to trust themself they supposed. Star and (F/L) grabbed onto Traveler’s shoulders as everyone held onto one another. Hundreds of guards rushed to the girls as Traveler took a deep breath then closed her eyes. She mumbled words under her breath, none of the girls understood as she also made several hand gestures. Wind picked up around them, actually pushing guards back before Traveler shouted incoherent words to everyone else before clapping her hands.
A thunderous sound echoed out before everyone stumbled and fell.
“(Y/N)!” Karl shouted with delight as he rushed over and pulled his daughter into his arms. “You’re ok. You’re back!”
He laughed as he hugged her tightly as Traveler gave a tired laugh herself.
“Hey, dad. Yeah…I got us all home.”
“Thank Ender you’re ok my little traveler.” Karl let out a breath of relief before looking at the other versions of his daughter, getting up. “Thank you, all of you.”
“It was nothing.” (F/L) waved her hand. “It was easy.”
There were various eye rolls as Karl smiled at (F/L)’s statement before he stood up.
“It was a lot,” Star admitted. “But we all pulled our own weights and even Traveler saved us in the end, using something to get us right back here rather than going through those doors once more.”
Karl smiled at Traveler, who still sat on the ground, and waved her hand.
“It was nothing.” She mumbled.
“She won’t have energy for a while but I’m glad you all got out safely. I’m very proud of little traveler and all of you. And now, I’ll send you home.”
“Right, home. As weird as it is to see…well myself. I might actually miss you guys.” (F/L) admitted. “You guys are ok.”
Terror gave a snort. “Thanks (F/L). But I’ll miss all of you too. All of your personalities are kind of refreshing…”
“When are we even going to appear at our homes, Karl?” Lamb asked.
“You’ll appear a few moments after you left,” Karl answered.
“So, it will be like nothing ever happened.” Blade said.
“Will we remember?” Boo questioned.
“I…debated not letting anyone remember, even myself.” That made everyone’s eyes go wide. “But I think it would be kinder to let everyone remember that wants to.”
“Hell, yeah I want to.” (F/L) declared.
“You just can’t tell anyone about it, only your Karl’s.” Karl finished.
It weighed on a few of the group as (F/L) nodded.
“I’m fine with that.”
“I’m pretty good with secrets, so I want to remember.” Terror agreed.
“It was…an interesting experience. I don’t want to soon forget it.” Star said.
“I learned a few things I’d like to keep.” Blade nodded.
“Ah, why the hell not remember mate?” Angel shrugged.
“It wasn’t something you see every day so I wish to remember it to learn.” Princess put her hands behind her back.
“It was pretty cool at some points, so let’s remember.” Lamb declared.
“I learned a few things I could use at home so I need to remember.” Kit grinned.
“I made friends and I don’t want to forget them!” Blue smiled brightly.
“I guess if everyone else is going to remember, I’d be like my dad and be the only one to forget if I said yes to forgetting. So, I think I’ll pass on forgetting and remember.” Boo decided.
“Then, everyone can go home and they’ll remember everything they saw. You just have to keep it to yourselves and your Karl.”
“And hey, if you ever need us again. You can give us a call and we’ll kick the Inbetween’s ass!” (F/L) smirked.
Karl chuckled before nodding. “I’ll remember that. For now.”
Karl took out a book, reciting words from its pages before ten portals opened, each one leading to where each girl had last been moments before.
“Everyone go home to your families,” Karl told them.
“Well…Peace out bitches!” (F/L) saluted to them before diving into her portal with a scream and it closed.
“Ender, she’s just like Tommy,” Star muttered before giving a bow. “Goodbye.”
And she stepped through her portal and disappeared.
“Good luck.” Blade waved and left.
“Till we meet again.” Terror adjusted her mask as she went in.
“Bye friends!” Blue grinned before falling through her portal.
“To new friendships.” Angel nodded.
“To new friendships.” Kit agreed before they stepped through their separate ones.
“To new adventures.” Princess shrugged as she went through.
“My Karl better be ready for a long talk.” Lamb stepped through as Karl laughed.
“To new memories.” Boo went to step through but stopped. “Ah! Your book. Here, I added a few notes myself so you know about everything in there.”
Karl took the book from the girl in the black and white dress. The girl waved before stepping through her portal. He opened it as he sat next to his (Y/N). Inside was pristine handwriting noting down several pages of things about the Inbetween that Karl didn’t know. Alongside it was notes about the others like (F/L)’s and Blade’s different fighting styles or Princess’ elegance as she moved through enemies.
“I’m pretty cool where ever I’m from.” Traveler smiled tiredly.
Karl chuckled as he hugged her tightly and kissing the top of her head. “Yes, you are my little traveler. Let’s finally get you home…”
Karl had her and herselves to thank from her own safe return. He’d be forever grateful.
More Sonic Headcanons baby!
If you haven't seen the other headcanons I've made here ya go:
Part 1
Part 2
Anyway let's get started!
•First things first is I resigned Knuckles and Sonic because I didnt like how they looked. It's very different from how they used to look
Tumblr media
@frogboy0 for the help with these two!
•Okay so Knuckles looks more like he's related to the Kuckles clan and Sonic looks like he came out of the 90's or something like that XD. @frogboy0 thought the Letterman like jacket would look better on him and he was right. We also decided to give Kunckles a headband because we thought it be cool and it was.
•Okay so this headcanon is gonna surprise you but.....Knuckles is Sticks adoptive father. Sonic found her in forest one day and was stuck in a bear trap or something so Sonic, being the fucking king he is, saves the little garbage child but she put up a fight. Scratching and clawing at the blue hedgehog. Sonic took her back to his house he shares with Amy, Tails and Kunckles (who stays there only occasionally in account of having to guard the Master Emerald.)
Tumblr media
•She wouldn't answer any of his questions about who she was or anything like that. Once he made it home, Amy and Tails( mostly tails since...well look at her) were freaked out by this child. Sonic and his siblings try to calm her down but it didn't do much. Later on as they do this, Knuckles comes in after a tired day and sees the three of them all disarranged as a manic little badger messes up their house. Knuckles gets told what happened and he angrily yells at the girl who is shocked at how he isn't afraid of her in the slightest. And she liked the echina.
•Sticks then clings to Kunckles all the time and follows him everywhere, him being the only few to touch her.  She starts to see him as father and Sonic finds it adorable while Amy and Tails laugh and make fun of Kunckles who (lies) hates being called that.
•She starts coming with him to watch the Master Emerald and Kunckles is glad she enjoys it as much as he does. She also starts wearing body paint like him too and dresses like his tribe would. Knuckles is utterly soft for it. (I love them so muchhhhh)
•Soon though, when she meets Rouge she starts to do the same thing she does with Knuckles, much to Rouge's distaste at first. She hates kids (lies) so the moment she sees this trash child she voices her opinion about how unclean she looks (as one does). Knuckles proceeds to yell at her for calling his daughter unclean. Sticks was shocked when Rouge was so willing to voice her opinion and sees how unhinged the bat was and was quickly star struck by the cool bat. Sticks then calls her mom because who wouldn't want someone as badass as Rouge as their mother?
•Rouge, of course, is utterly shocked when she called her mother and soon is oddly touch that this child sees her as her parent, (as weird as she is) even though she is slowly warming up to another person that she cares about besides herself.
Tumblr media
•Sticks is a full supporter of wanting Knuckles and Rouge to be together. Why wouldn't she want her father and mother to be together?
•She waste no time trying to set them up whenever she got the chance. Though, when they (finally) get to get together, they become a cute little family (HHHHH IM SO SOFT OKAY)
•Okay so (I think) as I said before about Cream she loves Blaze and Shadow so much that she starts taking their punk/alternative kinda aesthetics and dresses like them.
Tumblr media
•She is still nice to everyone but Tails because they gonna throw hands. They both still think the other is copy them
•Amy and Sonic cry together as they go through old photographs of Tails and Cream because they were more friendly with eachother back then. They just want them to get along. Cream and Tails are lesbian and pan hostility
•Cream gets a crush on Sticks because she is wild and she likes her women stupid
•"wow she's so dumb, I wanna marry her"
•She is also in a relationship with Marine too and hates how Tails also has two bfs now( Ray and Charmy) because this is too much of a coincidence to be true that they are so similar XD
•Tails and Cream fight over Cosmo because they want her to pick who she likes more but she just smiles and walks away
•"Cosmo dont you want to be with me more?" "Bitch no me!" "..... :) bye"
Tumblr media
•Blaze and Silver are siblings okay
•When Blaze first met him he gave her his scarf to keep warm even though she can make her own body heat with her fire (he's an idoit okay) and she has hardly ever taken it off since
•She is extremely attached to him and one of the first reasons Blaze fell in love with Amy was how good she takes care of him
•Amy and Blaze just spoil lil Silver because he is babey
•Amy just love anyone sonic shaped. Shadow, Silver, metal sonic etc.
Tumblr media
•Speaking of metal Sonic, Amy and them are besties
•Amy colored blush on two nail nuts on his cheeks to look like he is always blushing and eggman thinks his child is adorable
----------
That's all for now (again) but I hoped u enjoyed my shitty headcanons :D
Hi, Ben!  Probably just another short reply, because I have to be back at work in less than 10 hours (sigh…fuck capitalism).  The snippet was adorable, and omg, Jackson’s last line.  I could practically hear Noah turning back to Peter “Well, we definitely know he’s yours, at least."  XD  And when I went back to re-read the first one, I realized that even though it’s Noah’s POV he describes Allison as "their” daughter, and there may have been some more dolphin screeching.  Also, was reminded of another question, are Peter’s eyes staying red right now because his body is trying to heal (and his healing kinda got a bonus kickstart?)  Or is it connected to what happened to him?
And oh god I still don’t know if that makes it better or worse!  Because would Claudia have made the same choices if she’d known for sure?  Did Scott get the chance to know her at all?  He wasn’t terribly bothered by the ex-hunter thing, but this is a VERY different kind of secret, so I’m curious to see his reaction, as well (also if it impacts his relationship with Stiles and Malia in any way.)
Also, completely unrelated to any of the drama on the horizon, but it’s driving me slowly out of my mind that none of them have so much as kissed yet.  XD  Like, I know, shit’s complicated right now, and there are more important things happening, but also, you’ve barely hugged each other in at least 6 years, and some of you have possibly not kissed (to my knowledge) in close to 17 years.  Goddamn, sons.  Get it together.  XD  “tale as old as time, burn as slow as fuck” indeed.  XD
And I look forward to the rest of the pack whenever they show up.  :D
Omg, those booty shorts. XD  I am CRYING!  How terrible do you think the vengeance is when Peter buys his husbands a matched set?  Also, I don’t care if it doesn’t fit the timeline at all, I think that any time Chris dresses in all black again, especially if he’s got like a meeting or something and is clearly in Serious Mode, Noah will randomly start singing/humming “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” to try and make him laugh.
Fun fact: My dad is actually currently a driver for an HVAC company.  It makes him a very knowledgeable and experienced driver to ride with, but often a terrifying one, because he knows exactly the kinds of risks he can take- but his passengers often do not.  I myself enjoy the freedom of driving, but I hate traffic with a violent passion, so it’s sort of an even split most of the time.  My general rule is “as long as I trust you not to drive like an idiot, I don’t mind not driving."  I am very, very good at staring out the window and day dreaming for hours if need be.
So this is not as short as I’d thought it would be (sorry!), and I’m probably forgetting stuff again, but I need to go to bed soon if I want to have a hope of getting up on time.  I’m glad today was a pretty good day overall, and I hope tomorrow is, too!  Take care!  *Hugs to both of you!*
Oh man your work schedule sounds brutal at the moment and yeah, fuck capatilism. I hope you’re getting enough rest, stay hydrated and make sure you eat enough. Take care of yourself. (Jesus I sound like a dad.)
But yeah I’m really happy with the 2 K I’ve written so far. It’s super cute with just a little bit of drama (though mostly centered on Melissa & Claudia.) And yeah so far most of the chapter will be through Noah’s POV, though there’s some of Peter’s POV and some of Chris’s as well.
And yes, he does think of Allison as their daughter in that little scene. Though he hasn’t quite realized that yet. I have something really cute planned for that revelation and I’m very excited.
I feel like Scott would know Claudia, probably because he’s been Stiles’s best friend since forever and the two have known each other for a long time. So I definitely think that he got to know Claudia before she died, but did’t know who she really was to him.
This is definitely a story of tale as old as time, burn as slow as fuck. Because they’re not kissing in this chapter either. And I’m cackling. XD There will be lots of feelings though. And cute moments. And standing really close to one another while staring longingly into each others eyes while a wolf Peter whines at their feet and Melissa sips from her wine glass while wondering just how stupid these idiots are.
Oh I think their vengeance shall be very sweet indeed. You know those two shits will pair those shorts with fish net tights, booties and like a crop top to drive  Peter wild, proceed to lock him out of their make out session with some Mountain ash (I love you for that idea) and then see just how debauched they can get their wolf from sexual frustration alone.
And the witcher thing has me cackling and I’m kinda sad the Witcher didn’t come out earlier because it would be an awesome show for them. And Chris would break the second Noah either tosses a coin to him or bounces one off off him in a parody version called; Bounce a coin of your hunter.
Oh and this random post had me thinking of what these characters would do in these situations. And Allison is the girl in the second gif who puts the trash back into the black car, Chris and Noah walk by her hand in hand and just as the black car door opens, Chris stops it, closes it and starts to threatingly wash the guys windows as he scolds the man on his littering and threatening his daughter. Noah is watching the whole thing unfold while trying not to laugh but also ready to step in because he is still the sheriff. He writes the guy a ticket for littering anyway.
The third gif is Peter and Ben taking a walk with Mik & Addie in the stroller. Ben sees someone littering from their car and runs over to throw it back in through the window with a; “You dropped this!”
The woman tries to open her door to yell at Ben but Peter just donkey kicks the door shut, leaving a dent, without taking his hands off the stroller and growls at the lady in warning. And Ben just giggles in return and lets out a cheerful “Have a nice day!” Peter has never been more proud.
And that last gif is Melissa and Victoria with Julio while they’re out riding on some motorcycles. And someone litters. Melissa just fucking kicks that trash back into the trash’s car while Victoria fans herself and Julio laughs his ass off.
I kinda had to look up what a HVAC was but gotcha. And that sounds like a pretty cool job. Sorry, sorry, bad joke XD. but yeah I love driving. I would have been a truck driver if circumstances had been different and I still kinda want to have a second chance at that one day. I love the road and driving on it. I just don’t like the people that share it with me.
And I hope your day’s been going well at work. Mine’s been okay. I went to see a new therapist and do a general meeting appointment and I like these people. They’re good contenders but I also want to meet one more potential therapist too. I have that one Wednesday. So fingers crossed!
Hope work’s kind to you and I hope you’re having a good day. Lots of hugs from me and Mo! <3
do you think we might actually be getting a full on reboot of the star wars film series, like some rumors have been saying for the last half year?
What? That’s a real rumor?
I can’t fathom why Disney would consider doing it (at this point in time). I mean, what would a reboot get them? I think this has to be fan speculation.
Would they really remake the movies everyone already knows and worships like a religion? After turning ‘Rise of Skywalker’ into a love letter to abusive Luke stans on Reddit, they’re going to try to recast the character and retell the story? There’s no way that could ever possibly turn out well, and Disney’s handling of the franchise already has everyone back to worshiping at the alter of George Lucas, so everyone is primed to want to hate a remake. And that’s assuming Disney can even find a halfway-decent director willing to risk their entire career in the attempt. Sure, I think the prequels could be remade into a genuinely good Space Opera epic if they didn’t have to conform to the Star Wars Three Movies Across Six-Seven Hours Formula, but would that really gain Disney anything? The best case scenario would be the Lucas fans still decrying the result, but everyone else going, “Yup, you remade those bad movies into decent movies that basically tell the same story.” That’s not exactly going to light the world on fire.
And if the reboot is not to remake the original movies, then what’s the point? Star Wars isn’t exactly constrained by continuity. The EU has already shown the storytelling viability of jumping a hundred or a thousand or whatever number of years into the past or future. If Disney wants to do its own take on the Jedi and state of the galaxy, just jump a hundred years into the future, say, “Rey Skywalker created a Reformed Jedi Order and blah blah blah...” and then do whatever you want. Right now, every single Star Wars story that the average movie-goer knows is centered a single family (aside from Rogue One, which is a minor adventure about some people adjacent to that family). Just tell a story about different space wizards; it worked for Ahsoka Tano and the Rebels series. Sure, there’s an established timeline for the state of the galaxy, but is “There’s a Republic, a war starts, then it becomes an Empire, then a rebellion overthrows that Empire, and then it happens all over again!” really that constraining? It’s all just set-dressing for stories of knights and cowboys and fighter jets in space. And if timeline jumping doesn’t appeal, then just go to a different section of the galaxy, or a different galaxy altogether. Space is really big.
The main reason why this is dumb, though, is because the wide movie-going audience doesn’t have a problem with continuity. Only fans care that Padme died in childbirth and then Leia later talks about her like she actually knew her for years. Star Wars continuity is a bunch of broad strokes that set up whatever we’re doing in this movie. (Whereas ‘Rise of Skywalker’ continuity is a bunch of broad strokes that set up whatever we’re doing in this current line of dialogue. And even then it’s pretty shaky.) No one cares how the details align as long as it feels like a complete, compelling story (again, compared to RoS, which feels like bad ‘The Last Jedi’ fanfic instead of anything logically following from ‘The Force Awakens’). What George Lucas focused on wasn’t the details of the continuity, but mythic archetypes in a setting with a wild and suggestive amount of detail on the screen. He probably made up explanations for the Clone Wars as he was asked in interviews (and then made up new explanations when it came time to make the prequels), but he knew the value of alluding to them like the characters all knew what they were.
And he certainly knew the value of showing audiences something new. Did you know he tried to sue the original Battlestar Galactica because he was miffed that they beat him to showing an ice planet? XD
I can’t imagine even the Disney leadership is so stupid to think a reboot would solve any of the franchise’s current problems.
This sounds like fans not thinking things through.
Note: I say Disney in this post instead of Lucasfilm because I’ve seen references to Disney leadership exercising more control over the movies. However, my talk of “Disney” includes whoever currently has any input into the franchise, including Bob Iger and Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau and whoever else gets to contribute. Individuals in there might be good people who are good at their jobs, and yet ‘Rise of Skywalker’ is a disaster on every level.
Sleepover Snafu
So, here’s the crack fic that I pulled out of my WIPs and finished this week. It’s... ridiculous. XD
Never once did it cross his mind that giving a small gift to his friend as his superhero persona would be a Bad Idea™.
“You know Chat Noir?!”
Because it never crossed his mind that she may be hosting a sleepover for her sixteenth birthday.
“Uhh… hi, ladies,” he greeted with a strained grin knowing full well that Marinette was going to string him up by his tail the next time she got the chance. “Fancy seeing all you here.”
“What are you doing here?” Mylene asked.
“Oh, please tell me there isn’t an akuma nearby!” Rose cried.
“Please,” Alya dismissed with a wave of her hand. “I’d know if there was.”
“Yeah,” Juleka assured. “Her akuma sense would be tingling.”
There was a round of snickers while Alya shot a glare at Juleka.
Chat thought he’d get two seconds to slip out with the distraction. But Alix.
Oh. Alix.
“So, Marinette. When did you become his ‘princess’?”
And suddenly, Chat was on the hot seat. The girls circled him as he sat cross-legged on the chaise lounge with Marinette by his side.
“For the record, kitty,” she said. “I hate you.”
An hour later, after answering all the questions they threw his way and winning all—sans Alix—over with some over-the-top theatrics about how desperately and deeply he was in love with his ladybug and though Marinette was a wonderful friend, he could never forsake his lady, for she owned his heart.
“You all,” Alix grumbled. “Are saps.”
Thankfully, he won Alix over after the girls let him stay and play games with them. After all, not many people got to play games with Paris’ second favorite superhero.
They had a good time, though it was difficult to pretend he didn’t know anything about these girls other than the fact they’d been akuma victims.
But then got to the part of the night were Alya got that gleam in her eye that Nino constantly complained about because it always spoke volumes of trouble. “Chat Noir,” she purred. He noticed how Marinette was immediately on edge. “You’re a guy in love.”
He quirked an eyebrow, uncertain about where this was going. “Yes.”
“You surely know what it would take to get a guy’s attention.”
And he felt like he was back in the hot seat because now every girl was giving him that smug look.
He swallowed. “Y-yeah?”
From beside him, Marinette buried her face in her hands with a groan.
This was not going to end well.
“So,” Alya began. “Surely with you being such great friends with Marinette, you’d be willing to help her gain the attention of the love of her life.”
Again, Marinette groaned in her hands.
But Chat Noir, for his part, just blinked. Marinette? A crush on a guy? Really?
“She never told you?” Mylene asked.
“It’s not like it’s some big secret or anything,” Alix added rather smugly.
Chat just shook his head.
Alya clapped her hands then rubbed them together. Which meant this was happening and nothing could stop it.
“Chat Noir,” she said. “We. Are officially drafting you. To be part. Of the ‘get Adrien Agreste and Marinette out on a date’ squad.”
He choked on air, and the world started feeling a whole lot smaller. He was barely aware of Marinette mumbling something incoherent into her hands.
Alya nodded proudly. “Yup. You’ll help, right, Chat? The girl needs all the help she can get.”
“I do not!” Marinette protested, finally pulling her face from her hands. “I can talk to him on my own.”
The girls all rolled their heads her direction.
Chat may not be the most socially versed kid on the block, but he knew full well that when five girls roll their heads and shoot someone that look, it’s bad.
Like, cataclysm bad.
“Let’s recap, shall we?” Alya challenged. “The scarf you knitted you couldn’t give to him.”
“And let his father take the credit for.”
“You also took up fencing.”
“And sparred with him, but never talked.”
“The wild plan to sneak Adrien away from his bodyguard so that you could take him out to ice cream.”
“I still don’t remember who was Rose.”
“Who cares? She left me standing on that stupid bridge for a half hour.”
“You weren’t there when she had the opportunity for him to drive her home.”
“Only for her to babble like an idiot and turn him down. Our whole plan was for not.”
“Ladies, focus,” Alya said. “And lastly, we have our ‘almost gave up on him’ fiasco.”
Juleka crossed her arms. “I’m still not cool with you pulling my brother into it.”
“Especially since you did kinda lead him on.”
“And you didn’t even succeed in the end!” Alix cried. “You had the perfect opportunity to say ‘yes, Adrien, just the two of us’.”
“And now Nino’s telling me how Adrien’s trying to convince him that it would be fun if the entire class came to the rink.”
“When it could have been a DATE!” the girl’s all shouted in unison.
“So forgive us,” Alya finished with a sarcastic smile. “If we have so little faith in you.”
Marinette was back to hanging her head.
Chat’s head was spinning in circles, and it seemed like it wasn’t going to stop anytime soon. All those moments with Marinette… and they were because she was trying to be more than friends with him?
Somehow, after a long time, he found his voice. “You really like this guy, princess?”
Marinette didn’t look up at him for a long while before finally shooting him a glance and a single nod. “Yeah,” she said, her voice quiet and shy. “But it’s never going to happen.”
Chat’s heart was officially yanked in two. He loved his lady, that was clear to the world. But Marinette… she was pretty spectacular, too. And who was he kidding? His heart liked to flutter around her. Not quite like it did with his lady, but noticeable enough to get him to pause pretty often. And now she was here, bearing her heart—well, having her friends bear her heart to him—and the last thing he wanted to do now that it was an undeniable truth that he held her fragile, precious heart in his hands was to crush it.
“Because Mr. “just friends” doesn’t have any real reason to take you out,” Alix deadpanned.
“No matter how obvious you might be,” Alya continued. “He’s clueless.”
Chat had to bite is tongue before he gave away his identity. Instead, he focused on Marinette, one of the best friends a guy could have.
But she was also the only person in the world, sans Ladybug, whom would have him abusing his superhero powers just to visit her in the middle of the night and watch movies together.
“Could we just drop it for tonight?” Marinette asked. “Please?”
As Chat looked over at his friend, he found that her blue eyes were begging for release just as her crimson cheeks proved her embarrassment. She really liked him. If all those things were true—which, there really wasn’t any reason for them not to be—then Marinette cared deeply. “You said you gave him a scarf,” he asked. “Yet let his father take credit for it?”
“Yeah,” Alya said. “I mean, it was sweet, but the girl couldn’t give him anything without becoming completely useless.”
“So why let his dad take credit?”
“Because,” Marinette answered. “You should have seen the look in his face. It just… he was so happy thinking that his father made that scarf for him. I couldn’t take that away from him! I just… couldn’t. And no, I’ll probably never tell him. Let him be happy.”
Something in Chat’s chest twisted painfully. “And you’re okay with that?”
She shrugged. “It means more that way to him.”
The girls let a collective sigh. “It’s so sweet,” Rose commented.
“Even though she totally should take credit for her work,” Juleka added.
“Yeah,” Alix agreed, “but where Adrien’s concerned, let’s face it, common sense goes straight out the window.”
Marinette hid her face in her hands again, and Chat knew he was going to have to make a decision with the heart he currently held in his hands.
So he put up an over-large smile. “So, Princess, sounds like you’re pretty head over heels for this guy, so I’ll tell you what: I’ll help you out.”
“Oh, that’s not necessary.”
“Yeah it is!” was the chorus from the girls.
“Please, do, Chat Noir,” Alya begged. “I would literally do anything.”
Chat put on a show of thinking. Thankfully, something came to mind. “You should write him a letter.”
The girl’s faces fell. Clearly it wasn’t what they were expecting.
“Yup,” Chat said with a grin. “Go. Do it. A letter with all the things you’d never say to his face.”
Marinette knew him too well by now. “Why?” she said, her eyes narrowing. “What are you thinking?”
“Because,” he said. “I dare you to take one of those things and actually say it to him.”
Her expression fell, while all the other girls brightened like the sun.
“Yeah!”
“That’s a great idea.”
“This will be amusing.”
“No!” Marinette cried. “No way. Not happening.”
“Come on, Princess,” he said with a grin. “Trust me.”
She quirked a brow, showing she didn’t.
He frowned. “Harsh.”
“Yeah, but you can trust us,” Alya quickly chimed in. “And that’s a good idea! We’ll even help you.”
There was a round of consent from the other girls, meaning Marinette was sat down at her desk. The girls surrounded her, throwing out ideas of just what she should tell Adrien. Everything from “I admire your kindness” to “Hey Hot Stuff, get dressed up for me today?” made its way to the paper.
Marinette couldn’t even stay mad for long as the more ridiculous things got put on the page. But the amusing thing was, there was a part of Marinette that clearly meant everything, even the ridiculous phrases.
There was a lot of laughter and giggles and amusement. And Chat was about to crash the fun as well as put himself squarely on Marinette’s kill list.
“It’s perfect, Princess. Meaning now…” He snatched the paper out of her hand. “I’ll deliver this to a certain someone and give him a clear explanation.”
Chat found some sick, twisted pleasure in watching not only Marinette but all the girls’ faces fall in shock.
He shot them a wink. “Trust me, Princess. If he’s that blind, he needs a bat over the head. And I’ll be sure to give it to him. I’ll see you later.”
He was halfway out the door when he heard Marinette shriek his name and Alix cackle like a madwoman. It was at that moment he knew that he’d never be able to go back to Marinette’s without serious consequences.
And Plagg… well…
The little shit found it fricking hilarious.
Marinette wanted to simultaneously melt into a puddle and slaughter a certain superhero. She swore the next time she saw Chat Noir—as Ladybug because Chat was smart enough not to return to Marinette’s house for a good while—she was going to tie him up and leave him hanging from the Eiffel Tower.
And that feeling increased tenfold when she saw Adrien appear.
Alix was already laughing. Alya was patting her shoulder reassuringly. And Marinette wanted to die.
She was going to skin that cat and use him as a rug.
“Hey, Marinette,” Adrien greeted, rubbing the back of his neck. “Can we… talk for a moment?”
And there it was: her march to her doom. Still, she followed him to a quiet corner of the school so he could let her down easy with as few witnesses—if any—as humanly possible.
“Look,” she said once she was sure they were alone. “If it’s about the thing Chat Noir gave you then—”
His dazzling smile caused her to stop in her tracks. “Don’t worry Purr-incess,” he whispered to her. “Your little secret is safe with me. Always has been. Always will be. I’m not that cruel to give a paper like that to some unsuspecting guy.” He sent her a wink and then marched off, stupid smug smirk on his stupid face and his stupid green eyes dazzling with mirth.
And it took her far too long for her mind to kick back and gear and process his words.
She looked up at him, not believing it. He couldn’t… no way…
But Adrien spun around, waggling his brows and shooting her another wink and she swore right then and there…
“I’m going to kill you, you stupid cat!”
The Woes and Antics of Living Together-22
Second to last chapter folks! Can you believe it?! We're basically in gratuitous fluff territory now and that makes me so happy. I love fluff XD This chapter is a little bit different from the rest though as I've tried to write it as if you were watching parts of Poppy's blogs. So please excuse any awkward endings, it's harder than you think to write like that.
These don't really follow too much of a timeline other than they're all between a few weeks post!Broppy get together and about a year or so afterwards.
Hope you enjoy!
Previous Chapter/Next Chapter; AO3/FF.net
@writerofberk-Fluff, fluff, fluffy fluff!
                                                   ~*~*~*~*~*~
“Cooking with Branch~”
“Hey there, My cupcakes!” Poppy said excitedly to the camera, grinning widely as Branch stood a little awkwardly next to her. They were in their kitchen with a collection of ingredients on the counter in front of them. “I hope you're all ready for this weeks video cause it's one you've all been requesting! Cooking with Branch!” She gestured wildly at him, with wide arms and jazz hands.
“Why did I agree to do this again?” Branch asked, arms crossed as he watched Poppy with a flat look.
“Mmm...” Poppy hummed, finger held to her chin before she grinned at him, “Because you love me~”
Branch blushed bright red and sputtered a little before coughing, “Right...” He sighed, cheeks still pink as he scrubbed at his hair, “So how are we doing this?”
“Just tell them what we're making and how to do it!”
The dark blue haired man looked a little unsure at her before sighing and turning to address the camera, “Right, so...Poppy's requested we make spaghetti sauce and..um...yeah?” He turned back to Poppy to hiss, “This is stupid, what am I actually doing?”
“You're doing fine, Branch.” Poppy said to him, placing her hand on top of his, “Just act like you're teaching me. Explain what you're doing as you do it.” The pinkette flashed a grin at the screen, “Branch's sauce is the best! And great for more than just pasta! It's really good in lasagna and with a few tweaks makes a great pizza sauce too!”
“Right.” Branch took in a breath and breathed out, “So, to start we take onion and start chopping it before sweating in the pan...”
As he began to demonstrate, Branch seemed to forget he was being filmed and went on to confidently explain the process. Poppy jumped in at times, either to pass a ingredient or spice, talking more with the audience about up coming parties and functions. She and Branch even bantered back and forth while Branch stirred the concoction Poppy gushed about smelling amazing. She carefully held the camera up to show the simmering sauce in the pot as Branch explained that it needed to simmer for about an hour or so before it was ready to be eaten.
“And there you have it!” Poppy said brightly as Branch began cleaning up, “Branch's super special pasta sauce!” He could be seen blushing in the background as she praised him, “The recipe will be down below and be sure to comment if you make it! We'd love to hear how you guys like it!” The pinkette wrapped an arm around his to stop him as she made him look at the camera, “Be sure to subscribe if you're new and let us know if you want more cooking segments! I'm sure I can convince Branch to do them~” She winked saucily causing another round of blush to come Branch's face. She giggled gleefully, “See you next time and stay sweet~!”
                                           ~*~*~*~*~*~
“Mini Golfing-So much fun!”
“And we're back, everyone,” Guy Diamond said into the camera, voice taking on a hushed announcer quality, “For the thrilling conclusion of today's epic mini golf battle. Oh the drama! The intrigue!” He flipped the camera to show Branch and Poppy facing one another, competitive looks on their faces as the stood in front of the last hole. “Our contestants are tied at forty-one hits each. Will Poppy 'Play From Your Heart' Meadows come out victorious? Or will Branch 'The Strictler' Hawthorn beat our favorite champion once again? Let's find out.”
Branch broke his stare off with Poppy to glare at Guy, “Who are you calling a strickler?!”
“Ah-ah-ah, Branch!” Poppy said, wagging a finger in front of his face, “Don't go getting distracted. We're about to end this and I'm about to get my championship back!”
Branch snorted and crossed his arms, leaving a smug look toward Poppy, “So sure about that are you? Pretty sure, I beat you fairly soundly last time.”
Poppy stood with her hands on her hips, “Oh, don't be getting so smug, Mister. That was a one time thing and since I'm so sure I'm going to win...What do you say to a little bet?”
The Snack Pack could all be heard going 'Oooooh' in the background and Guy muttered, “Looks like things just got intresting.”
Branch rolled his eyes before smirking, “Fine. What did you have mind?”
Poppy flashed a confident smile up at her boyfriend, “If I win-you come clubbing with us tonight and you have to dance with me. No sitting at table. If you win...” She suddenly leaned up and whispered something in his ear that had a blush bloom against his cheeks and neck before standing back down with a saucy smirk, “Do we have a deal?”
Branch struggled for a moment before he managed to croak out, “Deal!”
“Ooh-ho-ho~! Seems like something naughty was just put on the table.” Guy chuckled before resuming his 'Announcer Voice', “And now, Miss Meadows is lining up her shot.”
Poppy took her time to judge the distance she would need to hit the ball before giving her hips a little wiggle, shimming her shoulders and blowing out a trumpet like sound before she whacked the ball down the course. The ball bounced too and fro, hitting an obstacle or two before rolling to a stop right on the edge of the hole. The Snack Pack all groaned alongside Poppy before Branch took his turn. He took a calmer approach than Poppy, taking a second to glare at Smidge who had coughed before he hit it. It bounced around like Poppy's, rolling hard over a hill before coming to a gentle stop beside Poppy's ball and nudging the pink sphere into the hole. The group of friends cheered and Poppy began a victory dance.
“Oh yeah! I win!” She danced around Branch happily, “Thank for the hole-in-one, Honey~” She then pulled her frowning boyfriend down for a quick kiss. She laughed joyously, before waving her hands up in the air, “Clubbing's gonna be so fun tonight!”
                                                 ~*~*~*~*~*~
FabulousDiamond posted a new video-
“Well!” Guy said into his phone's camera, voice loud to be heard over the pumping music in the club. Bodies of people could be seen in the background as he easily moved between them, “We now know what happens when Branch gets a couple of drinks in him!”
He laughed as he turned the phone to capture the dancing duo in the center of a ring of people. Branch and Poppy, twirling around in a rather impressive display of spins and dips, singing along to 'DJ got us Falling in Love.' Branch didn't seem to care he was being watched as spun Poppy away from him only to bring her back against his chest before dipping her low. Poppy could be seen laughing, said laughter getting drowned out by cheers and music, before she wrapped her arms around Branch's neck and pulled him in for a kiss. More cheers sounded, Guy hooting himself before ending the video.
                                             ~*~*~*~*~*~
“Benefit Concert!!”
“Okay...I think I got it...” A female voice said before the camera focused on a young woman with medium blue hair, some strands still covered in paint. She was standing the middle of an excited crowd, people starting to get hyped for something exciting, “Hey, everyone! Harper here! I'm sure Poppy's already told you all what this is all about so I won't bore you with details. Anyway, I guess I'm guest host for tonight! Oh!” Harper looked off camera before flashing a grin, “Looks like everything's about to get started!”
The camera turned and faced a large stage, colorful streamers and balloons hanging from it. The crowd started cheering and applauding Gristle who was walking out with a microphone. He grinned and waved before gesturing for the crowd to calm down. “Hey there, everyone!! Thanks for coming!” More applause answered him and he had to wait for it to die down before continuing, “You all know why we're here, to help raise funds for a new animal shelter! And I'm please to announce that it looks like we're gonna meet our goal!” Even more cheers sounded, the camera bobbing up and down as Harper bounced and cried happily. “So! Without further ado! Let's give up for your entertainment for tonight!”
The crowd went absolutely wild as Gristle left the stage and the music began to play. Poppy came prancing out, wearing a cute teal blue, sequined dress and a flower headband, “I've got this feeling in my bones~! It's goes electric wavy when I turn it on!”
Branch came strutting out from the opposite side of Poppy, dressed up in shiny black pants, a white shirt and a sequined green vest, “And if you want it, inside your soul.”
“Just open up your heart, let music take control~!” They sang together as they reached center stage. “I got that sunshine in my pocket, got that good soul in my feet! I feel that hot blood in my body, when it drops-” They dropped their shoulders as they slid past each other, “Oooh~! I can't take my eyes off it, movin' so phenomenally! Room on lock, the way we rock it, so don't stop!”
Suddenly the lights illuminated the rest of the Snack Pack behind them, all dressed up in equally glittery outfits as they all sang while Branch and Poppy began dancing with each other, grabbing each other's hands and swinging across the stage, “And under the lights when everything goes... Nowhere to hide when I'm gettin' you close..” Branch made sure to tug Poppy a little closer before spinning her around, “When we move, well, you already know... So just imagine, just imagine, just imagine...!”
Branch spun Poppy away, where she struck a pose before dancing back over to him, “Nothin' I can see but you dance, dance, dance!” He twirled her around some more, never breaking eye contact before she pull away to perform of few of her own moves, “Feel a good, good creepin' up you, so just dance, dance, dance! All those things I shouldn't do but you dance, dance, dance.” Branch slid around Poppy to grab her around her waist before twisting her around and dancing across the stage with her in his arms, “Ain't nobody leavin' soon, so keep dancin'! I can't stop the feelin'! So just dance, dance, dance~” Poppy twisted her hips from side to side before spinning away from Branch, “I can't stop the feelin'! So just dance, dance, dance!”
They continued to dance across the stage, the Snack Pack joining in for more complicated moves, voices harmonizing as the crowd cheered wildly. The camera was jostled slightly but Harper kept it as steady as she could while also enjoying the musical number, crying out Biggie's name happily. The group ended it with a few more complicated looking moves before Branch scooped Poppy up in his arms for a final spin, holding her easily when they stopped and she flung out an arm in a finishing pose. Everyone screamed and cheered loudly for the performers, who happily took bows before the next song began to play.
                                            ~*~*~*~*~*~
“Camping Weekend”
The camera focused on a smiling Poppy, hair down and sort of messy, with a blanket being worn over her shoulders. It could be seen she was sitting in a bright green tent on what could only be described as a nest of blankets with the pitter-pattering of rain echoing around her. A bit of blue hair could be seen sticking out from the breathing pile of blankets beside her. She giggled softly as she adjusted and glanced around her surroundings.
“So, it started raining,” She said with another giggle, “But hey, at least Branch and I are all snug and warm in our tent. And I know all our supplies is safely protected too, so we don't have to worry about that. Having a paranoid, 'everything's gonna go wrong' boyfriend comes in handy, I guess!”
“Ha-ha, very funny.” Branch's voice floated up flatly from his cocoon.
“Aww, you know I don't mean that.” She snickered lightly, hand reaching over to card her fingers through his hair, “But really,” She now addressed the camera again, “Having Mister 'Man with a Plan' here is great. And as you can see, he's made us a nice cozy nest of pretty much all the blankets from home! You'd think camping would have more sleeping bags!”
“Well excuse me for saving us the uncomfortableness that is sleeping on the cold hard ground.” Branch grumbled.
Poppy laughed and gently pushed his shoulder, “I'm not complaining and you know it!” She giggled some more, “Anyway... Hopefully the rain stops soon so we can go on that hike I mentioned earlier. I was so looking forward to it! And showing you all the pretty scenery!” She pouted slightly as Branch mumbled something about 'stupid weather apps' before she sighed, “But I guess if we can't, we can't...We've still had so much fun already! Isn't that right, Branch?”
Branch hummed his agreement before unwrapping an arm and throwing it around Poppy's waist, “And if we do have to go home early, we can come back and do this again.”
“Yup!” Poppy agreed brightly, “So I guess I'll see you all either on the trail or on the car ride home! Till later!”
                                                    ~*~*~*~*~*~
“Karaoke Night~!”
The Karaoke bar featured was lit intimately, lights low with the lit candles on the tables giving everything a warm glow. Milton was currently on stage, crooning a love ballad to Smidge who sat close to the stage with a blush staining her cheeks. The rest of the patrons all watched, some smiling at the display, some boredly, other's, like Bridget and Gristle, swaying in their seats to the music. Poppy's signature giggle could be heard coming softly from behind the camera before she started half whispering to someone.
“Come on, you promised.” She said, a slightly whine in her otherwise playful tone.
Branch's groan was then heard, “Poppy...”
“Pleeease? You do it so well at home~ And it's not like this is your first time singing in front of us.”
A long suffering sigh was then heard, “Fine, fine. I'll do it.” There was a brief moment of silence between then before Poppy could be heard giggling again and Branch could be heard saying, “Why do I let you talk me into these things?”
“Because you love me~”
“Hmm...I guess I do.”
The people then began clapping as Milton finished, Poppy joining in happily before shooing Branch up on stage. She then twisted the camera to film him going up and choosing the song he was going to sing, excited giggles escaping her, “Oh, you guys are gonna love this!”
Branch took the stage with a mild amount of applause, most coming from the Snack Pack, before shaking his head, a fond smile gracing it, as Poppy wolf whistled at him. He then nodded for the music to start playing. A slow, jazzy piano tune started to play and Branch began, his angel like voice filtering through the place.
“Mama, I don't have time for dancin'...That's just gonna have to wait a while~ Ain't got time for messin' around and it's not my style...” He swayed side to side, eyes closed, “This old town can slow you down, people takin' the easy way... But I know exactly where I'm goin', gettin' closer n' closer ever day~!”
As the music began to turn more jaunty, Branch started to move with it, shoulders bouncing, “And I'm almost there! I'm almost there. People down here think I'm crazy,” He spun a finger beside his ear, grinning toward where the Snack Pack sat, “But I don't care! Trials and tribulations, I've had my share, there ain't nothin' that's gonna stop me now, and I'm almost there!”
He tapped his foot to the beat as he removed the microphone from the stand, looking up and off to the side, “I remember Daddy told me, fairy tales can come true. You gotta make them happen, it all depends on you~” He faced and smiled at the small audience then, “So I work real hard each and every day, now things for sure are going my way. Just doin' what I do, look out girls I'm coming through~!” He flashed a wink at Poppy that had her laughing in enjoyment.
“And I'm almost there! I'm almost there. People gonna come here from everywhere! I'm almost there and I'm almost there!” Just the music played while Branch took a breath before the tone turned soft again and he stepped off stage, “There's been trials and tribulations, you know I've had my share...” He walked over just slightly off camera before pulling Poppy back towards the stage, the music picking up again, “But I've climbed a mountain and I've crossed a river and I'm almost there! I'm almost there. And I'm aaallmost-” He sudden picked up Poppy and spun her around as he sang the last note proudly, “Theeeeeeeeere!” He sat her down, grinning down at her, “I'm almost there.”
The crowd cheered as Poppy giggled in his arms before wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him in for a short kiss. More cheers and a few wolf-whistles sounded before Poppy pulled back and flounced her way up on stage, claiming she was next.
                                                    ~*~*~*~*~*~
“Let's Pack! Pt 2”
Poppy was laughing as she placed DVD's and games into another box, regaling to her audience about the time where she and the Snack Pack had been having a Murder Mystery party and Guy had hypnotized Cooper, “So! Cooper thought he was the worlds greatest detective for like three days! Then he started solving things that didn't need to be solved and almost ruined a big surprise Chenille had for Satin so that's when Guy and I convinced him he need to solve the 'Case of the Missing Cooper' and-” She snorted slightly as she grinned, “He 'solved' it by becoming Cooper again!” She giggled while shaking her head, placing a few more movies in her current box before taping it up.
“So-” Before she could be began another tale, Branch suddenly cried out.
“Branch?! What happened?!” Poppy cried, already half up before Branch replied.
“I found more goddamn glitter in the carpet!!!”
“Oh...” Poppy sank back down with a snicker, trying to hide it behind her hand.
“This is no laughing matter!” Branch's voice got clearer as he came out into the living room, “How can there be glitter everywhere?! I've vacuumed five times and I keep finding it!! It is not invading our new apartment! No, sire-e! Nu-uh! You can find a different hobby!”
Poppy giggled, “You can't contain the glitter, Branch! And it's gonna invade alright, you know you can't stop me from using it.”
“I can try!” He huffed, crossing his arms.
Poppy laughed as she got up and walked over to Branch, throwing her arms around his neck as she stood on her toes, “You can, true! But if you can have your ration box, I can have my glitter. And I did promise to try and keep in my new craft room, remember?”
“Yeah, yeah...” He wrapped his arms around her, rubbing his nose against hers, “How's it going out here?”
“It's great! I was just telling everyone about the time Cooper got hypnotized into Chummy Sparklestone!”
Branch snorted as he pulled away, “Course you were.” Shaking his head, mouth quirked up as he looked at Poppy fondly before speaking up, “Comment and tell Poppy how pointless glitter is!”
“Hey!” She cried indignantly, “It is not!” She playfully swatted at him as she turned to the camera, “Don't comment that! Comment on how much Branch needs to embrace the glitter!”
“Never!” He shouted before picking her up and spinning her around the empty looking living room, most of Poppy's pictures packed away already.
Poppy squealed and laughed as Branch put her down, kissing the top of her head before she pulled away. Picking up the camera she smiled at it, “Well, guys, I think I'll leave this here for now. Updates can be seen on my other social and next time you see us, we'll be at the new place! Stay sweet~!”
                                             ~*~*~*~*~*~
And there you have it! Some short, sweet shots of Broppy goodness! I hope I managed to pull off Branch getting more confident during his time together with Poppy. He's at least gotten use to her vlogging a lot of things lol! Anyway, last chapter will be the epilogue and this will be completed. Aahhh!! I can't believe it's almost over!  (Also I'd like to point out in Guy's short vid, Branch isn't really drunk, he's just had just enough to not let his social anxiety get to him too much and to just enjoy dancing with Poppy. Branch would never allow himself to get horribly drunk.)
Hello! There's an ask that I made for other opm blogs some time ago but it never really got answered. Weird as it sounds I would like either a scenario (short story? idk) or headcannons about how Sonic would be if he was hired to kill someone but in the process of stalking them, he became enamored with them? Not in a yandere way (lol) but in a genuine way because the person is so kind and sweet in everything they do. (Anyways, welcome back! I was surprised when I saw you on my dash xD)
Yee! And since I’ve talked to you further about thisrequest, I’ll add some more info for those who don’t know.
The character/oc featured in this as belongs to @vocakira! Andthe timeline is a little before Sonic meets Saitama, while trying to stay trueto Sonic– so he’s kind of crushing in this, but not fully enamored (Yet)! (ALSO I CANT BELIEVE I HIT 3k WORDS WITH THIS skjdbvksjdv)
:D Please enjoy!
Word Count: 3350
There were a few ways Sonic could tell if someone was a liar.
Unsteady eye contact, hiding of the hands, and a sweaty facewere the biggest tells. His weaker employers, the greedy and the doublecrossing were the ones who he could easily call out.
Then came the businessmen, with their shady contracts, and theirwords holding two meanings. Unluckily for them, they always had an inability tokeep a story straight…
And finally, there came the liars Sonic was the mostfamiliar with:
The hardened killers.
With their cold voices, and their addictions to pitilesscruelty.
Sonic knew he was dealing with the latter at his firstglance around the facility.
He never walked into a place blind– he always scoped outthe defenses, the ins and outs, the weaknesses and strengths. There were armedguards at every door, sealed entrances, and human sized cages they usedfor who knows what… Sonic could tell by the pristine lab coat of hisemployer and the copious amounts of sedative the facility kept in barrels—hewas in for an interesting contract.
Usually he wasn’t one to judge, maybe they had a real monsteron the loose, but there were too many alarm bells ringing for him to feel likehe could completely trust this place.
They were apparently a medical company, tackling issues ofmonsterfication and psychic powers running wild. Whatever. The detached way thehead scientist spoke of it was so fake Sonic wasn’t too focused on listening.
The contract was to assassinate a hero, after all.
“That’s not very noble of you.” He remarked, as dry as adesert. It was a low A-rank as well.
“She is showing signs of instability and refusing help atevery turn. It’s truly unfortunate.”
Sonic scoffed at first, but then narrowed his eyes inthought.
He was given a thick file, and when he opened it he was metwith a picture saturated with warm colors. A woman. Young. Notlooking at the camera.
His silver eyes ran over paragraphs of text, then large blocksof dense black ink of redacted information. He wasn’t fond of thateither…
Not even upon reaching the second page, his dark eyebrowshiked up his forehead, the rest of his expression twisted in apathy. “She won’teven hear me coming, huh?” He asked in his usual crass way. He shut the fileand fanned it slowly even in the cold lab in which he stood.
The scientist before him nodded and pushed his glasses upwith a thin finger. He had burn scars around his wrists.
“Partially. Her powers are likely to deafen you as well.Explosions and a refined ability for pyrokinesis have made our previousattempts at capture impossible. So, if you would be so kind, please keepher body well preserved. She is like a daughter to me.”
“Hn.”
That was the only sound Sonic made.
“This subject goes by Dahlia, and I guarantee you that sheis incredibly dangerous and liable to lose control of her powers. She hasrefused vital treatment, and so we must do what is right…” The man’sglasses glinted. “You understand, correct? This is what must be done.”
“I don’t particularly care.” And that was the truth.Unlike the sketchy man before him, Sonic didn’t feel the need to put on airsfor whatever reason. If what he said was true, then an unhinged opponent wasall too easy to take down, and if he was lying then…
Various instincts Sonic had honed over the years were alreadyblanching in distaste. Perhaps warning him of a broken contract to come. It wasall too familiar to him. This facility was obvious in its exploitative nature—Itcould have been a ninja village in disguise.
He didn’t have the hard proof though, and he was no hero. Hedidn’t have to seek out the truth, yet.
With a slight haughty nod of acknowledgement, Sonic vanishedinto a writhing mass of shadow and silence. He didn’t have to completely agreeor believe what these people told him.
The mission was accepted, regardless.
Sonic bolted through the hot air of the summer afternoon.Leaping from building to building in a black and purple blur, he raced aroundZ-City searching for signs of his target.
…The first step to a successful assassination after all, wascareful surveillance.
Fortunately for Sonic, he never found that ninja art difficult,it was almost natural. As easy as breathing~
With a confident smirk he knew that his skills inobservation were extraordinary. His senses were keen to deception…
“There’s no disguise I can’t see through. You can’t hidefrom me—" He spoke aloud. The image of her face from the facility’s filewas ingrained into his brain—even if she got surgery to hide her looks, hewould–
“Ah—” Sonic froze on the edge of a grey bricked building, asmall drip of sweat slipping down his temple.
“There she is…”
Flores Dahlia’s red hair may as well have been abeacon in a crowd. Her eyes were orange just like in her reference picture. Herclothes were styled in the same way. Her red hair was so long and striking, itwas easily the first thing he noticed when approaching the main street.
Seeing her for the first time, her stature and expressionwere completely different from his reference picture.
He pulled it out of his back pocket, his eyes glancing backand forth between the image and the person sipping a coffee outside a café.
The image was perhaps when she was younger. Dark circlesbeneath her eyes and a worried expression.
The woman before him now was the opposite. A healthy glow toher skin, and a bright, bright smile.
Sonic realized very quickly that this woman wasn’t hidingherself.
Over confidence? Sonic thought.
Does she think she think she can take me on?
With the corners of his lips pulling downwards, Sonicglowered. For the next few days he spent many hours watching those gentle wavesof red, waiting for his opportunity. From early in the morning to the dark nighthe watched her live her life.
…To his discomfort it was peaceful and happy, to say theleast.
Nevertheless, against a dangerous target Sonic was no fool.He kept his presence carefully masked, and even though she was partially deaf,he used every ounce of his ability to remain silent. Looks could be deceiving, perhapsshe was the type to go berserk during the heat of battle?
Sonic was ready to catch this woman out on some nefariousactivities, or did that scientist think he was that stupid? The detailsof her violent nature were quickly being proven false—but he had yet to see herfight.
She’s a hero, and I haven’t seen her scrambling for fame…
Another half of him came to her defense—Well, she doesn’tflaunt her powers unnecessarily.
Flores Dahlia got up early and left her apartment around thesame time as her roommate. (Apparently another person of interest, but not onSonic’s payroll to kill.)
She dressed modestly, carried herself with poise, but she didn’tseem aware of the bounty on her head.  Shegreeted people politely on the street who recognized her and called her,“Dolly-chan!” Her hero name… She never gave any indication that she sensed Sonic,and so over the days his distance grew closer and closer.
Sometimes he grew near enough to smell her perfume. It wassweet, but not hard on the nose. There were times he brushed against her warm shouldersin the crowd—she met his eyes once and blushed shyly before glancing away. Hehad felt a little pride at that.
Sonic supposed she could be so extremely confident inherself that she became oblivious but…He shook his head gently, making his inkyblack hair sway around his face as he pretended to look at his phone.
This girl’s naivety was clear even after the first day onhis surveillance.
Sonic rarely saw her without a kind smile on her face.
Even during the times where he tested her, placing himselfin her line of sight, steadily emanating killing intent, she seemed to see thebest in others. She had no idea she was under threat.
And because she was a hero, he was ready to watch herfight already! She didn’t search for opponents– even though that seemed to bethe association’s thing. Heroes always played gimmicks to raise rankings…Insteadhe watched her working a humble day job at a store for most of the time, herfriendliness was brightly apparent in her face and eyes.
There was not a shred of deviousness in them. No sign ofinstability or lack of control.
Today was no different as she treated herself to chocolate cheesecakewhile at a cutesy café. Lunch time always made her particularly energetic asshe would shuck her work apron and don her civilian clothes again. With a blankexpression he watched her take a picture of her food and send it to someone onher contacts list. When she got a reply, she smiled so hard it made herfreckles stand out…
Something in Sonic’s heart contracted a little.
…Maybe it was indigestion from his coffee…He looked at itwith a scowl and threw it expertly in the trash from a distance.
–Then her smile fell as a large explosion plumed from a fewblocks over.
A roar shattered glass in a flashy wave as wind and debrisflooded the street. Sitting at a nearby table from Dahlia, Sonic watched herleap to her feet, and race towards the scene.
Like a mirage, a completely black attire flooded over herform. It covered almost every inch of her skin, much like his own ninja gear…Heassumed the material could handle extreme temperature or high impact.
Finally! He thought.
With a serious expression he changed position to the highbuildings above the street. It was about time– He would see this damnwoman in action…
He watched her break out into a modest run, rounding cornerswith a determined expression. A large monster was throwing a tantrum in a largepark and those large bursts of dust were spiking into the sky at every second.
Silently Sonic followed, perhaps he would get his chance totake the kill while her back was turned…Perhaps he would give her a chance tosurrender…He wanted to get this mission over with, he was tired of thinkingabout her at every second of his day and feeling—something.
He needed a good fight. A challenge maybe? That could beit…
He had never fought someone who could generate flame before,and he wondered if that was enough to even compete with his speed…
“Heheh.” Sonic smirked to himself with his facedarkening…Brute strength can never win, not against my flawless techniques!!
Sinking into deep shadow, he watched this hero race onto thescene. What would she do? He wondered. What kind of brash and chaotictechniques would he see from her that would seal her fate? Would she finallydrop that good girl act?
Dahlia let orange flame gently burn at her hands and beneathher feet, levitating her from the ground smoothly. Her red hair swayed, and ina burst of speed she appeared above the large monster. Red clashed with thesoft blue of the sky.
The monster’s height towered above even the oldest oaks inthe park, but she had cleared the distance without issue.
Sonic’s grin deepened—and with a confused grunt from themonster, it tried to tilt its ginormous head skyward to swat at her like a fly.
She pinched her fingers together, flame bubbling up inbright balls of light. Without warning a rain of fire began to shower and peltthe monster like bullets. Tears and holes in its form blasted the monster away,erasing it with a pained scream that sent shockwaves across the park.
Trees bent over backwards, Sonic covered his ears, butDahlia cut the scream short as the rain of fire became a controlled wave thatcascaded to the earth. The monster was enveloped. Burned away. Gone.
Her face wasn’t smiling, and she looked a little worried asshe descended to the ground and glanced around.
With a wave of her hand, any remained embers that werecatching in the wind drifted towards her fingertips. The heat seemed to siphonaway from the humid summer day like a vacuum.
Sonic gaped at her.
That’s it??!
He watched her sigh and shake her head at the large blacksmear on the ground. She was perfectly calm, in complete control.
“Maybe she needs more incentive!” He growled.
Just as she was turning back to the direction of the street,her expression neutral—Sonic appeared before her like a mirage. His expressionsinister—
“Flores Dahlia prepare your-“
“Oh! You scared me!” Her lips formed a sweet ‘o’ as herhands flew around her.
Why does she have to be so very expressive?
Almost thrown off track, Sonic composed himself, “I’ve come for your life—”
“I’m sorry, sir, can you not hide your mouth in your mask.Please?” She gestured with her hands in quick tandem and dared to step closer.All too nonchalant in her action, but somehow knowing she probably didn’t meananything by it– Sonic’s eyes bulged.
As an afterthought– a need to stay true to his priority, heslipped into a defensive posture, his hand on his sword.
She blinked at him.
“S-sorry!” She exclaimed in confusion, “I read lips, but Ican barely hear you with my aid…Do you need something?” One of her handsslipped behind her ear, revealing the shell of it and the device attached. Sheshowed him plainly, her posture full of openings. Too many damn openings. If hewas anyone else, he could have killed her by now!
That thought made him feel something like rage, and hedidn’t know why.
And her smile had returned, although uneasily.
How can she be so unaware?!?!
With a dark expression he snatched his scarf down with hisother hand, “I’ve been sent to kill you.” He said slowly.
In a calm and benevolent way, he extended his hand towardsher. “However, if you return to your caretaker, I won’t have to eliminate you, FloresDahlia…”
Her mouth remained open, but her eyes were glinting withsomething like acceptance.
“My caretaker? Is that what he told you?”  She shook her head.
“No, of course he told you that…” She muttered.
Her hands moved through a series of motions, “May I ask whatyour name is?”
…Sonic had to admit, he appreciated the polite opportunityfor introduction and straightened his posture.
“Speed of Sound Sonic.” He inclined his head, “Let me startout by saying, no opponent of mine has ever escaped alive. I plan on keeping itthat way.”
He flickered behind her, his lips right next to her ear, “Sowhat will it be?”
She slipped her hand over her ear, shirking from him. Hisstomach felt a twinge of discomfort at that as she turned around skeptically, “That’sfine. I don’t want to fight you, and I have no intention of going back.” Sheturned to face him fully, her hair swaying behind her.
“If you kill me, I assume it would be quick. Thatpreferable to torture.”
…He hummed thoughtfully, “I’ve been told many things aboutyou—a penchant for lying is one of them.”
For the first time her expression twisted into anger. Hissilver eyes watched her warily, ready for flame at any second.
This was it then, he would goad her into showingher true colors—
Dahlia shook her head, pressing a hand against her chest, “Idon’t lie.”
“My ‘caretaker’ made me this way! Haru and I arestill recovering from his treatments to this day!” Dahlia pointed at Sonic, hersuit flickering away into a bracelet on her wrist. A pink skirt flared aroundher hips again, and a soft white jacket carried the scent of her perfumestraight to Sonic’s nose.
“I’m my own person, can I lie about that?!”
Sonic crossed his arms as Dahlia continued, “What he’s doingis illegal, and if you knew what was really happening in that facility youwould probably never go back—”
Sonic’s expression hardened at the edges, giving her hiscruelest smile. “That’s laughable. Just because you’re weak doesn’t meanthe same rules of your pitiful existence apply to me. No one can catch Speed ofSound Son—"
“Well good!” She exclaimed, catching him off guard.Her vehemence was painfully sincere as she leaned towards his face, her orangeeyes clashing against his silver ones.
“I wouldn’t wish that fate on anyone!! I’m serious, Mr.Sonic. Don’t think he won’t try to capture you once you’re done!”
She didn’t fall for his words, instead giving it her all forthat damn hero act… Growing agitated in her presence he did the only thing hecould think of. In a flash he pressed his sword against her neck, a few strandsof her beautiful hair flew away in the wind. Dahlia remained unmoved.
…Sonic found he rather liked that expression, those eyesstaring at him. She hadn’t even flinched, and she didn’t blink when he pressedthe blade into her skin harder.
“Fight me.” Sonic growled, the tension in his stomachwas growing into a tight knot at this point.
“No! I don’t want to hurt you, especially when you’re beingused like this—”
He scoffed, “You think you can hurt me?! You–”
She interrupted him at every turn. Dahlia glared at himsteadily although her lips wobbled, “I don’t want to take the chance. I’m notwhat they told you.” She tugged his sword away and for some reason, he lether.
“I’m sorry to disappoint you…And I don’t know if I couldmatch what they’re paying you—” Her expression turned worried and sad, “Evenwith my hero salary and my–”
Sonic sneered. The mere thought curdled his stomach, “Idon’t want your money!!” He shouted, and her eyes widened.
For a moment, silence reigned over the park. Sonic had lostwhat he wanted to say, and it was all because his interest in this woman wasbecoming too obvious to ignore…
He caught sight of her hearing aid as she adjusted it, andit hit him so suddenly that if what she was saying was true…
“Were you raised in that facility then?”
“I wasn’t born there, I was taken.” Her words became clippedand emotional, “I was normal, and they changed me.”
Steady eye contact, splayed hands, her breathing was even…
A shallow breath was sucked into his chest followed by anoise of anger. It’s just like his village, taking orphans to train, to turnthem into killing machines.
He sheathed his sword, his expression dark. “If I searchthat facility, will I find evidence that you’re telling the truth?” Hespat the word like venom.
She tilted her head, “You’ll find children who want toescape. I know some remember home. Will that be enough?”
He struggled not to scoff, “…I’m no hero, but I will not belied to while under contract.” Sonic turned his back to her—then instantly felta hand against his shoulder, trying to tug him around. Shocked by herforwardness, he remembered she had to see his mouth to understand him–
He obliged, a little red in the face, “I want to fight youwhen I finish taking care of this.” He said it like a threat, and Sonic wassure his face was icy, but she smiled, nonetheless.
“Can I treat you to a dinner instead? I don’t like scorchingfriends.”
His expression twisted. Embarrassment, frustration, and purepride fought across his face.
He didn’t say a word as he disappeared, his cheeks warm andhis shoulder tingling from her touch.
“I’ll be back for you, mark my words!”
Reader x Mitsuhide Akechi - Trust the Kitsune
Title: Trust the Kitsune
Fandom: Ikemen Sengoku
Character: Mitsuhide Akechi
Genre: Romance, angst, hints of fluff
Warnings: Strong language (minimal)
Intended Gender Audience: Female Audience
Word Count: 1455 words
Requested by: Anon! - Mitsuhide (IkeSen) catching you sneaking in and out of the castle whenever you want but never being able to catch you? So like he confronts you about it and you try to play stupid and he’s all like “no no i know i’ve seen you going in and out as you please” and stuff??
Other comments: oof wait i realized that i changed some things around from the request, but i think it came out pretty good xD
When Sasuke snuck into the Oda castle for the first time, he saw how worried you were about returning to the future and was determined to do something. Nobunaga had basically confined you to your room, giving you strict instructions to not leave or else. You didn’t have any other choice to listen, but your spirits deflated heavily.
          To remedy your loneliness, he showed you how to escape through the ceiling like he does. This way, you could leave the castle at night, travel around the city and talk with people. Then, you could sneak back into your room before the day started.
         It was rather exhilarating to leave and return – although you were still confined to the castle during the day, no one suspected you would leave at night. Occasionally, you’d see one of Nobunaga’s warlords drinking at taverns, but you just learned to steer clear of certain places.
         This particular night, you were to meet up with some friends you had made – middle class women that you had come to know through connections through the maids in the palace. They worked on traditional fabric weaving, and you loved to talk about fashion with them.
         About an hour after Nobunaga stopped by your room, you pushed the trunk of clothes a few meters over and slid the ceiling panel over. Grabbing hold of the bar, you stepped up the wall and lifted yourself into the tunnels above.
         It let out at the back side of the castle, and you dropped out of the tunnel, landing with a soft oof. Not wanting to waste time, you made a run for it. The faster you arrived, the more time you’d be able to spend with them.
         But before you had the chance to run, something caught your arm. To be more precise, someone, grabbed your wrist. “My, I think you’re more of a kitsune than I am,” a voice laughed.
         You craned your neck around and stared directly into Mitsuhide’s golden eyes. He wore a dangerous smirk and pulled you close to his body, his nose brushing against yours. “What are you doing out here at this time of night?”
         “I’m meeting a lover,” you lied with a smile.
         Mitsuhide laughed, but his grip only grew stronger. “Lying is unbefitting of you, Lady (Y/n). I know very well that you’ve been leaving at night and returning before the sun wakes. I must warn you though to stop. Not only have your actions become suspicious, but there are bandits lurking in the town as of late. A pretty kitsune like yourself would be delicious prey for them.”
         You were rather disgusted by his words, but you tried to not let it phase you. But if what he said was true… it would be the end of your nightly excursions. “Why stop me now? You claim to have known about this for a while.”
         He finally released your hand and leaned against a tree. “Because for the past week I’ve been following you. And I know for a fact the bandits have been targeting you. They’ll make a move tonight.”
         Huffing, you gathered your kimono in your hands and turn away. “Nonsense. I’ve been with my friends in their homes. There is no way someone would be able to-”
         “You are far too trusting.”
         “Is that supposed to make me trust you?”
         Mitsuhide opened his mouth to respond, but then he clicked his tongue. “Remember my warning. And have a goodnight, Princess.”
         He turned and made his way around the castle, to the front. You lingered for a moment, but then continued on your way, his words still haunting you. No matter how hard you tried to push them from your mind, they still hung heavy over your thoughts.
         When you arrived at your friends’ house, they suggested to go out for drinks. A guard would go with the group to keep them safe, so you felt happier.
         As the night dragged on, you drank quite a bit of sake, hoping it would erase Mitsuhide’s warning. You joked with the ladies about the uptight warlords and how they acted like they knew everything. When you realized the time, you excused yourself and told them you had to leave. They looked at each other with big eyes, but when you questioned them, they brushed it off.
         So you headed back to the castle as quickly as you could, knowing that you would have a hangover in the morning.
         When you turned the corner, you nearly ran into three large men. They laughed at you and grabbed at your dress to catch you.
         “No! Let me go!” you screamed, kicking and throwing wild punches in all directions.
         “Why would we? You’ll fetch a nice price in the slums and then we can sell you back to Nobunaga,” one of them replied, his hand sneaking into your kimono.
         You screamed as loud as you could, hoping someone would hear you. From the corner of your eye, you saw one of your friends taking money from the “guard” that had stayed with you all night.
         As reality dawned upon you, your heart sunk into your stomach. Mitsuhide was right… and now you might never return home. You started to give up hope, your muscles going limp with sadness, but a deafening shot sounded through the alley, echoing off the walls. You and the bandits whipped around, only to see Mitsuhide standing at the opening of the alley, shotgun in hand.
         “I promise that was only a warning shot. The next one goes between your eyes.” His voice is low and menacing – he means what he said.
         The two people that were holding you let go immediately and tugged on the other one’s arm. “She’s not worth it, common. I don’t want to get involved with the fucking warlords while we’re here.” But he didn’t listen and instead drew his sword, heading straight for Mitsuhide.
         Instead of shooting, Mitsuhide uses the gun to deflect the attack. He caught the tip of the blade in the hole for the finger next to the trigger and spun the gun around, sending the sword into the ground easily. Fast as lightning, Mitsuhide unsheaths a dagger, pressing it tightly against the man’s neck. Blood trickles down his neck, staining his uniform.
         “Best you leave this city all together if you’d like to keep your ear.”
         This time, the man ran off in the other direction, scared out of his mind.
         You, however, were still on the dusty ground, your clothes a wrinkled and torn up mess. Mitsuhide holstered his gun and dagger before picking up the sword left behind. He removed the fabric draped around his waist and covered your shoulders with it.
         You don’t look at him directly though, because you’re expecting him to make a sly comment about being right. He didn’t, and you were thankful for it. Instead, he helped you up and walked with you to the castle.
         Mitsuhide took you directly to your room, brushing off all of Hideyoshi’s questions on the way there.
         Sitting on your futon, you kept your head down so that your hair covered your face. You didn’t want him to see the tears threatening to fall.
         “What’s going to happen?” you asked with a shaky voice.
         Mitsuhide tipped his head to the side, confused for a moment. “To them? They’ll likely run for the border where I’ve sent men to arrest them.”
         You looked up, surprised by this. “Why?”
         “Because they’re pathetic excuses for men. We do not tolerate bandits or men who think they can defile a woman and get away with it.”
         A moment of silence passed between the two of you, making you uneasy. He got up to leave, but you caught his hand. “Thank you… for saving me. I should have listened to you.”
         Mitsuhide bent down and kneeled in front of you, holding both of your hands. “Apologies for not arriving sooner. But I’m glad you’re safe.” He pressed a soft kiss to your forehead and stood back up. In the dim light of the torch, he saw the blush across your cheeks, and he smiled. “I will speak with Nobunaga and request that you accompany me outside the castle more often. At least that way, I can keep a closer eye on you.”
         Your heart skipped a beat, and you nodded. “Thank you… Mitsuhide.”
         He left, closing the door behind him with a soft click.
         Once alone, you realized that you were still wearing part of his uniform. You didn’t want to go after him though, deciding you had caused enough trouble for one night, so you promised you would return it to him in the morning.
Duality
He wasn’t even a professor. Tobirama scowled to himself and pulled the edges of his cloak tighter in search of whatever pocket he had dropped his warming stone in to. Such a simple rune and yet it was no help to him if he couldn’t find it. Of course, he wouldn’t need it if his brother hadn’t turned those puppy eyes on him and begged with his bottom lip wobbling pathetically, so disgustingly sad that Tobirama had agreed to do as he asked just to make that face go away. He wasn’t even a professor! He should not be out here in the evening chill performing a professor’s duties.
A huff of frustration escaped him and he dropped his handful of cloak, shoving it back so he could pat himself down for other pockets. His habit of misplacing things was the whole reason he’d started sewing extra pockets in to his clothing whenever he remembered to but the problem was that now he had too many pockets to look through and his things still ended up lost.
Fingers closing around something cool and smooth, he fought back the excess material to pull his hand out with a cry of triumph, expecting to see the warming stone he was certain he’d picked up that morning. Then he snorted in disgust when he found half a broken pestle instead. No one was around to watch him stomp one foot in irritation. No warming stone and now he was probably going to spend the rest of the evening wondering which mortar was missing its pestle. Had he taken someone else’s? Had he broken his own?
How was he supposed to properly grind faerie wings – willingly gifted, of course – if he hadn’t the right tools?
Contrary to his predictions, any thoughts of preparing ingredients for his various experiments came to an abrupt halt when he rounded the corner and saw the other person he was meant to be paired with for that evening’s patrol. Madara looked as dramatic as ever, clad in fiery red from head to toe as though his natural element wasn’t obvious in the way sparks clung to his hair and smoke rose out of his fingertips in fits and starts. Standing along one of the outer passages, positioned next to an opening in the wall, his hair rose and fell as the wind howled outside. The idiot would have frozen in minutes dressed down as he was if he wielded any other element.
After a few moments of standing in one place and scowling as hard as he could Tobirama accepted that the other man hadn’t noticed him there. White skin and sharp footsteps should have made him rather obvious in the dark but Madara had always been a little too wrapped up in himself to pay much attention to others.
Tobirama threw the broken pestle at him.
“What the fuck!?” Madara screeched in surprise when stone sparked against stone right next to his face, leaping away and spinning in a full circle until finally his eyes landed on where Tobirama had now crossed his arms with an expectant expressed. “Are you kidding me? I was supposed to walk patrols with your brother tonight; what the hell are you doing here?”
“Nothing pleasant, I assure you. Brother decided that planning a date with Mito on the same night he was scheduled to walk the halls with you was an excellent idea. One would think the security of his own university would be more important than gargling someone else’s tonsils but I have never claimed to understand how his mind works. And so here I am.” He smirked a little when Madara wrinkled his nose with disgust.
“Must you refer to it like that?”
“Have you seen them kiss? That is essentially what he is doing.” Tobirama slid his hands in whatever pockets were closest to ward off the winter chill. “Whatever you want to call it, he asked me to cover his duties while he is otherwise occupied.”
Visibly put off, Madara waved both hands aimlessly in protest. “You’re not even a professor!”
“I know!” It wasn’t often the two of them agreed on much but in this they were of the same mind.
Of course, Tobirama was more than old enough to be a professor here at the school should he have wished to be. He certainly had more than enough knowledge to teach any of several different subjects. Unfortunately for the masses he had very little interest in taking so much time away from his research, preferring to stick with his technical status as student and continue on in the life of a scholar. Nothing appealed to him more than the rush of discovering some ancient scrap of knowledge written by some unnamed mage and finding a use for it.
He did not appreciate errands like this one taking up precious time he could have been using to look more in to the effects of those crystals Touka had given him for his birthday a century or so ago. If his estimations were correct then they might have been formed from a naturally occurring phenomenon that only happened during a massive outburst of dragon magic. Such things had never been recorded!
“You’re off in your own head again already. Great. Well this is going to be just tons of fun, isn’t it? Babysitting you while looking out for students getting up to shenanigans. You know how they get when they catch the first hints of graduation! I’ve had three try to break in to my office in the past week and there’s still a month left of classes!”
“Looking for exam notes?”
“Obviously.” Madara snorted as though he hadn’t done the exact same thing when he was a student, sneaking a peak at his teacher’s notes so he knew exactly which spells he should study up on for the exam.
Tobirama snickered without bothering to hide it. Served the asshole right for being so uptight all the time. He hoped some of those students had got what they came for before Madara caught them. Later he would have to figure out who they were and provide them with the answers himself, having taken the class on a whim a decade or so back. The poor idiot probably didn’t have enough imagination to change his exam from year to year.
“Ugh, let’s just get this over with. We usually start with the western courtyard to make sure no one is trying to perform any summonings under the moonlight.” Spinning on his heel, hair and cloak flaring out with a wholly unnecessary amount of drama, Madara stalked away down the hall without waiting to see if he was being followed.
“I remember my first summoning.” Tobirama sighed wistfully. Ahead of him, Madara twitched.
Before he could get too far in to his reminiscing about the time he summoned a nether beast that took a liking to Madara’s hair – poor taste but it had probably been the funniest thing the university had seen in several decades – their patrol was interrupted before it could even truly begin.
As soon as the alarm went off Madara, long used to having it tripped by miscreant students, pressed one palm against the closest wall and murmured something in a low voice. The wards rippled under his touch and Tobirama could hear them deep down in the parts of himself that had been connected with the world’s magic since his very first breath. He knew as well as anyone else who had been here at the school long enough that the wards were alive in a way he couldn’t explain, although being a student he also knew that they wouldn’t listen to him as they did to Madara. More poor taste. That man had nothing to say that would be even half as interesting as the things Tobirama had floating around in his head.
“What have they to report?” he asked when his companion set off without saying anything, scurrying to keep up.
“The alert came from the northern edge of the property. What anyone is doing all the way out there is beyond me. If we’re lucky maybe they’ll fall in to the river before we get there.” Every word Madara spoke was dripping with offense as though whoever was out there causing trouble had done him a personal injustice by choosing to do so on the night it was his duty to watch over the massive castle housing their university.
Drifting along behind him, not half as worried, Tobirama snickered again at the image of someone falling in to the river. Long ago when the first mages had created this place of learning they had been just a wee bit suspicious of outsiders. History was a little vague on exactly which one of them did it but Tobirama’s theory was that it had actually taken all of them to convince the earth herself to raise up high and set the university grounds far above the rest of the surrounding countryside, sheer cliffs at every boundary line and only one set of stairs carved in to the eastern wall. Just imagining someone stupid enough to topple off the cliff and down in to the northern river left Tobirama smiling. People were idiots. If somehow a non-magic person had found their way to this hidden place and trekked all the way up a staircase that would be invisible to them he sort of hoped they fell back down the cliff just for being so insufferably nosey.
Neither of them spotted anyone on their way to where the wards had been disturbed, not another soul awake or at least none of them stupid enough to be up and about on a cold winter night such as this. Which was strange, actually, unless somehow the disturbance had come from outside the boundaries because if it had come from inside then they should have passed someone on the way to the scene. After exiting the front doors of the castle there was really nowhere for anyone to hide on the wide open grounds surrounding it.
As they drew closer, merely a few dozen feet away, Tobirama began to twitch.
“I don’t like this,” he grumbled.
“What?” Despite the fact that there was no love lost between them, he appreciated that Madara had the good sense to stop and listen to him. He did have his smart moments.
“The snow,” Tobirama pointed out. “It’s undisturbed. And there are no whispers.”
“Whispers?”
Cutting one hand through the air impatiently, he snapped, “Yes, whispers, the water in the snow. I can speak to my own element just as you can. No one has gone through here in the past few hours. If they had then the snow would remember.”
Madara eyed him contemplatively for a moment and then nodded. With absolutely no connection to water himself, he would have to rely entirely on Tobirama’s word for that. Unfortunately the fire in his veins did nothing to make him a cautious man, preferring to bull his way in to a situation while yelling his questions, and that tendency showed itself now. With a decisive slant of his brow he strode forward and stretched one hand out, probably intending to speak with the wards again and ask what they remembered about when the alarm had been tripped.
He cried out with surprise and stumbled back in to Tobirama, sending both of them crashing down in the very center of the glyph lighting up underneath their feet. Completely hidden by snow, diameter large enough that Tobirama could have stretched out completely and not been able to touch both sides, it glowed with a pale yellow light the moment Madara tried to pass beyond the far side and cast him back, trapping them both within.
“I told you I didn’t like this,” Tobirama murmured, already reaching out with raw magic to feel around the edges of the glyph.
“Shut up. What’s happening?”
“Oh, I really don’t like this.” That was all the answer Tobirama managed to give before the light doubled in intensity and the world around them began to warp. Madara screeched in his ear and Tobirama couldn’t help but agree – with the panic, not with the level of decibels he managed to achieve. This was definitely cause for panic.
They had barely a handful of seconds to process what was happening. One minute they lay in a heap together in the virgin snow outside of their beloved university and the next they were transported to what would have looked like an underground cavern of some sort if not for the wind blowing in from one end. Someone had forcibly relocated them to a cave. Someone was looking forward to an early grave when they found their way back home.
“If you even think the words ‘I told you so’ I will rearrange your face.” Madara sat upright just to snarl at Tobirama, covering his discomfort with the usual bluster.
“Now seems as good a time as any to tell you that my dearest wish is for you to someday learn to use your brain for thinking first before the yelling starts.”
“Fuck. You.”
“We may have to resort to that for entertainment, as abhorrent as the idea is. I’m sure you haven’t spent the brainpower to notice but we appear to be sealed in here.” Tobirama lifted one of his eyebrows and gestured towards where the cave twisted out of sight. No visible barrier could be found but he could already feel the muffling effect of some kind of dampening spell.
Not only had they been sent away but they had been trapped here. Wonderful. Tobirama wondered what he had done recently to piss the spirits off so much that he ended up trapped in a cave with only Uchiha Madara for company. Literally anyone else in the world would have been better – except for maybe Uchiha Izuna. Madara’s younger brother was probably the only person more annoying than him. Even worse, he somehow had less social tact than the world’s biggest buffoon.
Both men pushed themselves to their feet and moved towards the far side of the cave where a bend in the path would have led towards the outside world. A few meters before they would have reached it they were stopped, something unseen sizzling in warning. Neither of them were really all that interested in using themselves as a test subject to find out what they were being warned away from. At least, not without knowing who laid the barrier, what their element was, how willing they were to separate limbs from bodies, that sort of thing.
Edging backwards until the sizzling stopped, Madara dropped his face in to what was possibly the sourest expression he had ever managed, arms crossing and shoulders tensing until they were hiked up around his ears.
“This is bullshit,” he declared.
“I hate to say you’re right about anything but in this case I am compelled to agree.” Tobirama looked around for somewhere to sit, disappointed to realize there was nowhere that wasn’t covered in ice or snow. He ignored the offended the mess of huffs and snorts behind him as Madara tried to figure out if he was offended or smug.
After a while the man settled with, “Between the two of us we can find a way through it, why are you sitting down?”
“Because between the two of us I am not volunteering to get close enough to that barrier to make a physical inspection. If you would shut up for a few moments I could gather my concentration to look at it in other ways.” Scraping a small area clean with the side of one boot, he added, “Unless you also happen to have studied for as long as I have and understand how to connect yourself to another person’s magic? No? I didn’t think so.”
“Could you be any more of an asshole?” Madara snarled.
“Probably but they say imitation is the highest form of flattery and I have no intention of flattering you.”
While his companion took a few seconds to work through that Tobirama sat down on the cold stone floor, as free of snow as it was going to get, and turned himself inwards to the power flowing through him. Madara’s inevitable screech of anger went in one ear and out the other as Tobirama let his consciousness gather and then flow outwards, stretching himself until he could feel every inch of his surroundings. The bright sensation of fire-passion-fearless took concentration to think past, as Madara often did, but Tobirama forced himself to push farther towards the warm-forbidding-apology that awaited him at the mouth of their impromptu dungeon. Strange, he thought. Those weren’t the feelings he had expected to get from this little exploration. Whoever set up that barrier felt guilty while doing so.
Carefully brushing along the edges, Tobirama was able to feel for points where the spell was weakest and slip underneath them, filling the proverbial cracks with his own magic and leaving pieces of himself behind like those hidden landmines non-magical folk had been so fond of during their first couple of wars.
Retreating back in to his own body and opening his eyes felt like a loss. It was always a bit of a jarring experience feeling the world in such an intimate way and then opening his eyes to find himself nothing more than human once again. Existing as conscious magic made him feel free and unconstrained while coming back to his body left him overly aware of how cold his ass had become from sitting on frozen rock. Popping his eyes open, he grimaced and clenched both butt cheeks in an effort to encourage some blood flow.
“Well?” Madara demanded. “Did the oh-so-smart scholar find anything useful?”
“I’ve weakened the barrier but it’ll take time to fall apart completely. Until then there’s really nothing for us to do but wait.” Not the best news he’d ever had to deliver, although the irritation in Madara’s expression was at least a small lift to his mood.
“Seriously? We just sit here? And do nothing?”
“I have done something. That something will take time. If you have anything you would like to add to my efforts then be my guest.” Tobirama waited and when his companion gave no response he hummed in satisfaction. Being right was a pleasure all on its own but being right when Madara was wrong? That was always best.
Since it was already quite late his hope was that he could somehow fall asleep or at least doze off to pass the hours more quickly. Madara stomped around trying to find a place of his own to settle down while Tobirama closed his eyes again and told himself very firmly to ignore the cold seeping deeper and deeper in to his limbs with every passing moment. If he lost part of his ass cheeks to frostbite someone was going to pay very deeply for such a transgression.
More than an hour passed in complete silence after the other idiot with him finally settled down and yet still Tobirama couldn’t bring himself even close to dozing off. Water was his element of course but he certainly didn’t enjoy sitting around in the frozen form of it for ages on end. Around the time he realized he had all but stopped shivering he also realized that perhaps losing an extremity or two was the least of his problems, though it still ranked fairly high in his mind. His limbs were fairly important to his ability to perform certain spells.
Curious in a sluggish sort of way, he lifted one hand and tried to wiggle his fingers.
“Ah,” he murmured, voice slurring. “That’s not good at all.”
“What’s not good?” Madara’s voice demanded. Up until he spoke the man had appeared to be sleeping, hunched down with the snow around him melting, body heat raised to keep warm.
Tobirama forced his head to turn and meet his companion’s eyes. It took a few moments to process the sudden cursing, the way Madara scrambled across the cave to kneel in front of him. When large hands enclosed his own he felt nothing.
“Your fucking lips are blue! Actually blue!” Madara blew on his hands. Logically Tobirama could guess that he was heating the air but it appeared his fingers had gone entirely numb. At some point while he sat there and waited for sleep hypothermia had found him instead. Irritating. More so because he found thinking straight incredibly difficult once he actually tried to think about anything.
“Definitely not good,” he said.
“Why the hell didn’t you say anything?” Madara demanded.
“As if you would have cared.” Difficult as it was to concentrate on anything, the antagonistic relationship between them was as natural as his own heartbeat and required even less thought.
Predictably, Madara snorted, almost dropping his hands in retaliation. “Fine way to speak to the only one around who can keep you alive,” he snarled.
Contrary to his attitude he did continue to breathe warm air over the frozen digits between them. If they’d had a little warning before getting summarily evacuated from university grounds then maybe one of them might have brought along gloves or a scarf. Well, Madara wouldn’t have because he didn’t need either but Tobirama certainly would have bundled up a little more. Either their captor hadn’t thought of these particular consequences or they didn’t really care and he would only find out which if he lived through the cold night.
For the most part Tobirama sat still through Madara’s attempts to bring feeling back in to his hands, even if that was largely in part due to the fact that he was worried any movements would send him toppling over sideways. Only the fact that he had settle in place seemed to be keeping him upright. After a while Madara gave a frustrated growl and Tobirama blinked up at him wordlessly in question.
“This is taking too long. I can’t breathe the rest of you warm again – also that would be creepy and I hate the images in my head now. I need to warm all of you up at once.”
“So do that,” Tobirama mumbled.
“Well it’s not as easy as ‘just do it’! I could build a flame easy enough but it would burn you before it did much good. There’s…another option. But you’re not going to like it. Hell, I don’t like it.” At Tobirama’s grunt he took a deep breath and absently rubbed the hands between his own. “Open your pathways to me. Your core magic. I’ll merge it with mine and lend you my fire; that should keep us both warm.”
Staring at him in complete shock, Tobirama managed to ask, “Have you gone completely mad?”
It was, by all accounts, a perfectly understandable question. There were few things more intimate that one mage could do for another than allow them to touch their core magic. Not even most married couples would be comfortable bearing their souls in such a manner. To do so for someone he didn’t even like, let alone trust, the very idea was laughable.
Yet Madara was far from laughing.
“There has to be another way to get warm,” he insisted. Madara sighed.
“No. Your body temperature is so low, there’s no other way to warm all of you at once without killing you. I could wrap around you and raise my own heat but it wouldn’t work fast enough and you would burn.” Shaking his head, he frowned. “I wouldn’t have suggested it if I thought something else would work, believe me.”
Tobirama closed his eyes for a moment to think and realized a few moments later that there was no longer any time to do so. When he tried to open his eyes again it was a fight, a harrowing effort, and he recognized that Madara was right; he was too far gone.
“Fine,” he whispered.
Without asking he couldn’t be sure if Madara was doing this because he would never hurt Hashirama by letting his brother go out like this or simply because he was a man with enough morals not to let another human die right in front of him. Tobirama considered it but decided against asking. He probably wouldn’t like the answer and it didn’t truly matter. In the end he was still being offered a free ticket to survival, a one-time offer going fast.
At the very least Madara was merciful enough not to be smug about it. He nodded once before shuffling around behind where Tobirama sat and wriggling in between his frozen bulk and the wall to press their bodies together, chest to back.
“The closer we are the better this will work,” he said. “Don’t worry, I hate it just as much as you. One little cuddle and then we never speak of this again.”
“I’ll clam up if you do,” Tobirama assured him.
His companion grunted. With his body now slumped backwards against another form Tobirama found his head lolling forward to stare down at the hands interlocking with his own again to create two points of connection, making a circle of their pathways for their magic to flow along. Clever, he had to admit. Positioning them like this would leave them in a constant state of feedback with each other.
Despite already agreeing to do this, opening himself to Madara proved to be one of the hardest things he’d ever done in his life. Every instinct in his body cried out against the first touch of another’s magic where he should feel only his own and yet with sheer stubbornness he managed to keep himself from shoving the other man out. He expected the feeling of being invaded, the most sacred part of him violated when it should have remained pure only until the unlikely day he intentionally invited another in.
What he did not expect was the harmony. Madara’s core and his own merged together as easily as stirring the ingredients for one of his elixirs. Warmth suffused him as promised but it wasn’t quite the warmth he expected, less body heat and more a sort of inner peace the likes of which he’d never achieved in his life.
In the darkness his inner eye was blinded by a light, fire rushing along the rivers of his core magic, cool blue turned to burning gold and dancing in such a way he couldn’t distinguish fire or water.
And he wasn’t alone. Tobirama stared unseeing at the cavern around them and knew only the second presence inside his mind, the hesitant brush of a thought that wasn’t his own. Ever too curious for his own good, he pushed towards it and gasped as he encountered Madara’s mind, faint but there, the edges of that twisted and baffling mind just beyond an ephemeral and very much proverbial wall. He shouldn’t. Tobirama knew he shouldn’t. But his curiosity had gotten him in to trouble many times in his life and this would certainly not be the last.
He pushed. Just a quick gentle nudge, inching a little closer for a better look. What better way to understand a man’s actions and personality than to take a look inside his mind and the feelings therein? For a moment he could feel the edges of Madara’s curiosity echoing back at him and, incredibly, he got the impression that he didn’t so much break in rather than the door being willingly cracked open. It was a thrill until the unthinkable happened. He slipped. He fell in to Madara in a way that would have been impossible to describe to anyone who had not experienced the same thing before but if he hadn’t just given himself entirely over to another he would have had only one thing to say.
They were one.
Silent Princess
"Shadow and Amy broke up for over 3 years and one day they have to go on a mission and tell them how they feel and might even get together again I don't know it's up to you XD"- Spikeeeee
Thank you so much again for your lovely prompt!
__________
It's been a while since they seen each other. On her behalf, she had already forgiven him a long time ago. Well, it wasn't like he needed to be forgiven. The two just had their preferences. He wanted to continue his dangerous life, and she was ready to settle down.
Amy had to accept that Shadow loved his job more than her.
And that was ok.
That was already three years ago, and it seemed like destiny had its own plans for them.
They encountered again, in a very important mission. G.U.N had clearly requested for Amy to enjoy Shadow on the subject. Amy denied at first, she had no obligations to G.U.N not worked for them. However, seeing that Shadow was alone since Rouge and Omega had to take part in another mission, she decided to oblige.
And who knows? Maybe Shadow and her could end up in better terms.
But right now it seemed impossible.
"Admit it, we are lost"
"No, we are not"
"We were supposed to find the plant's location two hours ago, Shadow."
That's right. Amy and Shadow were in a mission to find a plant. A very special one indeed. Rumors have it that this plant possess everything nutrient a human needs to survive. This could greatly help the fight against World Hunger, but how the plant grows or where it's located it's still a mystery. That's were Amy comes to place, she had to be the best botanist in the whole country. Maybe in the world, but now her knowledge hasn't come in handy.
"We could have already passed it"
"Believe me, I could recognize an unknown plant from miles away... I did discover five new types of plants after all." Amy didn't say this to sound cocky, but to make Shadow realized that whoever his informant was, he lied to him about seeing that plant. At least in this area.
"What an accomplishment"
Amy stood quiet and decided to say no more. Sooner or later he will realize that they are walking in circles. What she was afraid of is that he might realize too late, when it's dark and no light would come across the gigantic trees in the rain forest.
Shadow was done with this mission, he wanted to find that damn plant and leave already. Ok, he had to admit that maybe Amy was right. Heck, when wasn't she right?
"I know that you really love me, Shadow"
Absolutely correct.
"Dating me is probably the best thing that's ever going to happen to you"
True.
"If you leave now, you will regret it"
Damn straight.
"We are lost"
Correct again.
Alright, alright, he was letting his feelings get in the way of this mission. When his commander told him that he was going to be partners with Amy Rose for an important mission, he almost loses it. He wasn't ready to see her again, it had only been a year since they broke up and to be honest, he was probably never going to be ready.
Especially not in the terms they left it. They began dating when she was 17 and he was 18. The first two years were amazing, full of love, growing, and prosperity. It was until the third year were things began to be unstable. To put things in a simple manner, Shadow's job took too much time out of him. G.U.N was a full-time job, and very dangerous as well. He remembers being in the hospital at least 10 times that year and on the 11th, Amy couldn't take it anymore.
"It pains me to see you like this, don't you understand? I live day by day not knowing if one day you are not going to come back home."
But Shadow loves working for G.U.N. Creating a better place for the world was his life mission after all and had become a part of him. He wasn't ready to let go of that just yet.
And so they broke up.
Shadow moved from Amy's house and began living by himself. Heck, it was painful. He missed every part of her. Waking up to her messy her, her stupid usual red dress that made him crazy, her face lighting up when she would talk about the things she learned in class.
Everything.
Just absolutely everything about her...he was madly in love with it.
"It's starting to get dark...we should start the camp soon." Amy's voice began to shake, it had suddenly become fresh. Shadow looked up to the indescribable twilight above him. He didn't know for a certainty that it was there due to the large trees above him, but he could definitely not see the sun anymore.
"You are right"
The night had fallen and the only thing visible was the fire in front of them. The breaking apart of the wood was a good cover up for the two who were speechless.
Now what?
They were lost with no clue to where they were heading and civilization was nowhere to be seen either.
"I think we should head west", Amy finally had the guts to say something. She was expecting a "no" or "yes", something that could give her a sign that he was listening. However, she knew Shadow too well. His ears were down, meaning that he wanted to listen to whatever she had in mind.
"Well..." She continued, "Last time when I was with Sonic-"
"Wait, you were with Sonic?." Shadow's voice turned into a higher pitch, clearly showing his disgust.
"Yes, wait that's not the point, last time-"
"Are you like, dating him? I heard some rumors and I was just wondering, not like I care."
"We were, but still that's not the point!", Amy raises her voice as well, trying to get through Shadow's knucklehead.
"You were dating him?! Amy, we just broke up a year ago!"
"Oh, Chaos! Shadow, you know what?! I am done! I don't want to talk to you anymore!." Amy stood up from the ground and began to walk into darkness. She was done with the mission, she was done trying to be civil, and she was done with Shadow.
Or so she thought.
This was wrong. So wrong in many different ways. She began dating Sonic a few months ago, and honestly, she was happy. There was just one tiny problem, Sonic wasn't Shadow. They still ended in good terms and stayed good friends just like before.
Up until this day, Shadow still found a way to mess with her life.
It was just everything about him that drives her crazy.
His goddamn attitude, his sometimes overprotectiveness, his stubbornness. Amy has to admit that she was wrong. She wasn't done with Shadow, she never was and never will.
She was in love with him; even with his flaws. Even with that annoying noise he makes when he wants something. Even when he tickles her although she has explicitly told him that she hates it. Even after he left her to follow his own will.
She still admired him incredibly, she knew that Shadow loved her greatly. And breaking up was hard on both of them.
But their relationship was over just like this fail of a mission. Amy walked down some more not really knowing where she was heading. It was really dark and she thanked Chaos in her mind for creating the moon that glows at night, lighting her pathway.
But something from afar was also glowing...
Alright, Shadow knew he had messed up. If Amy was dating or dated Sonic that shouldn't be his business. It wasn't his fault that he still has feelings for her. She just showed up with her emerald eyes, silky hair, smooth skin, and thinks that it's not going to affect him? No! It's her fault for always being so damn beautiful and probably the best person in the whole universe.
Alright, he was just making up excuses.
Shadow growled between his teeth and closed his eyes in disappointment. He had to find her soon, or else he would lose track of her scent.
He stood up from his already warm piece of ground, he sightly turns his head from side to side making sure he followed the right track by trusting his nose.
A few minutes later and he began to panic, Amy was nowhere to be seen but her scent was all over the place. The trees, the ground, the air, but she wasn't there. He didn't want to get desperate. She had to be here somewhere near. Everything was going to be alright-
"AMY! WHERE ARE YOU!?"
"Shh! Shadow I am right here."
Shadow turned around to find Amy coming out of the trees behind him. Shadow sigh in relief and walked closer to her, on his way there he thought on many different ways he could apologize but as soon as he approached her the words left his mouth.
"Come with me."
Amy peacefully said as he grabbed Shadow's hand. Amy was aware of Shadow's anxiety. It was dark and she didn't want him to get lost and panic over her again.
Shadow appreciated her gesture. She would caress his hand by making small circles around it. It calmed him, Amy was probably the only person that knew that Shadow had anxiety; not being able to find her triggered it. And although Shadow knew that Amy must feel bad for making him worried, he was still happy that she cared.
They walked a bit more, and Shadow had finally calmed down. From afar, Shadow could already notice where Amy was taking him.
"I believe I have found the plant we were looking for," Amy sat down next to blue glowing plant. Shadow was even baffled by its beauty. There were no trees around the area, only the moon shining above the sky, giving light to the blue glowing plant field around them.
"They must only bloom in the dark, that's why we couldn't find it during the day."
Shadow looked up to her as she walked through the field and he wonders what gave him the strength to let her go in the first place.
"What are you going to name it?", Shadow wanted to hide his current blush by making a question.
"Mmm, what about Silent Princess?"
"Silent Princess? Really? Like in Breath of The Wild?"
"Don't you think it looks exactly like it? Just as beautiful", Amy gave Shadow a look as she sat down in the grass, she loved to be surrounded by nature.
Shadow walked next to her, making sure to not step in a single flower. He sat down and looked at her eyes once more.
"Yes, just as beautiful."
Amy turned her heard in surprised. She knew what Shadow meant by that. Their eyes met with each other, and they both knew what this was heading. They both wanted it, they were craving to feel each other's lips. To feel what the other was feeling.
and then,  it happened.
A/N: Hoped you enjoyed this! This prompt was based of the lovely idea that @Spikeeeee gave me some time ago. "Shadow and Amy broke up for over 3 years and one day they have to go on a mission and tell them how they feel and might even get together again I don't know it's up to you XD"
Thank you again so much for the support!
A/N: Request from @lokisgirl5, anon and @reebgirl13. I don’t know what Christmas markets in your places are like, my dear readers—it might be different, I simply took inspiration from what they look like in my place. xD
Words: 2252 Warnings: smut
Loki sat on the armchair he had claimed as his. One of his long fingers lazily moved over his thin lips in a concentrated manner, his legs slightly parted as he buried his nose in an old and battered book. The pages were yellowed already and yet, he didn’t seem to be able to tear his blue gaze away from the ancient words written on them.
You had been watching him for quite a while now, pretending to focus on the screen of your laptop und slurping a hot cup of tea but thus far, the most exciting thing had been him turning a page only to go back to the previous one the fraction of a second after, frowning at the text critically.
Now where was all of that mischief and charming cheekiness Thor had spoken of? The cunning the Avengers had warned you about? You’d much rather he tried to escape again than just ignoring your presence and getting lost in his own world. What was he reading anyway?
Either way, you almost felt sorry for him. It was Christmas soon and Tony and the superheroes had taken the day off to go out together. Fancy restaurant, exclusive bar… the billionaire had spared no expenses to enjoy a pre-Christmas dinner with his friends.
Someone, however, had to watch Loki, making sure he didn’t bolt and do something incredibly stupid like trying to take over the planet yet again. It was understandable how they hated him so much, happy about not having him join their day off and ruin it.
Thor had shot him a compassionate glance, shrugging his shoulders in an apologetic manner but Strange could be awfully persuasive—keep him locked away in the manor and keep an eye on him at all times until he has proven himself. Until then… treat him like a wild animal with no brains. Fine, the last part you had phrased yourself but technically, they were the truth.
“Do you want to go out?” The question had left your lips before you could properly think it through. Just because you were in charge for the night and Tony was gone, it didn’t mean you could throw all of his rules overboard and make up your own.
You were definitely, under no circumstances, allowed to let Loki outside. Well, fuck those rules.
The God of Mischief looked up in surprise, his blue eyes locking with yours. “I beg your pardon?”
“I said… do you want to go out? You know… taking a walk, going shopping, ice skating, whatever.” He must have been bored by sitting in this armchair twenty-four hours a day, reading book after book after book until he could recite them by heart.
Loki tilted his head.
“I know I’m technically not allowed to let you outside but you can’t just sulk in here.” Your face lighting up, you pointed your finger at him. “I know what we’re gonna do. Have you ever been to a Christmas market?”
Frowning, he leaned forward, setting his book aside.
“I have not. What about Stark?” He asked, hiding a smug smirk. He was overly amused by this, you could clearly tell he was. Strangely, the exciting sparkling in his blue eyes made your stomach clench. A plane took off in your belly, flying one looping after another.
You quickly cleared your throat.
“Rules are made to be broken, where would be all of the fun if you didn’t? Out of all people you should know that best, Trickster.” You chirped winking, standing to put on your winter coat. You doubted Loki would have to dress warmly but you still handed him one of Tony’s black jackets along with one of your scarfs—the green one. It seemed fitting and you were quite surprised he was anything but reluctant to have you dragging him through the crowded city, which, at this time of the year, was going crazy with last minute shoppers for presents.
You knew it was risky. For all you knew, Loki could overbear you in a heartbeat. If he decided to make good use of your friendliness now, you would be unable to stop him—but you trusted him and oddly, you believed he was aware you did. You only hoped it was not a mistake.
Your sorrows quickly evaporated into thin air when you took in the alluring scent of glühwein, roasted almonds and sweet chestnuts. The Christmas market was booming. Stands of all kind—from winter equipment to snow globes and crib figures made of wood—invited to stroll through and admire the crafting.
You resisted the urge to take his hand. Loki was walking beside you silently, one half of his face covered by your green scarf. No one had recognised him as of yet and you sincerely hoped it would remain that way. You both deserved a little peace, besides, Tony wouldn’t take kindly in breaking news such as ‘war criminal Loki spotted drinking eggnog in New York City’.
“It is beautiful,” Loki remarked, admiring the many Christmas lights above him. Every single tree was decorated, glowing icicles hanging from the roofs of the stands.
“Much better than reading, huh?” Pausing, he turned his head to you, drinking in your well wrapped up form. You looked like an actual polar explorer and judging by the cloudy sky above you, it would most likely start snowing again soon.
His expression somewhat softened upon seeing you smiling up to him, this time not hesitating to interlace your fingers with his and pull him towards one of the stands.
You ordered two glühwein and watched the owner of the stand handing you two paper cups filled with a dark red and steaming liquid after accepting your money. It smelled downright delicious.
Wiggling your eyebrows, you gave one of them to Loki.
“It’s hot wine with cinnamon, lemon and sugar.” You explained quickly, already nipping at yours. You had missed this. Drinking it with Loki though, it had never tasted better.
“Wine with sugar?” He repeated, raising his voice a little before tasting it. A giggle escaped your lips when he licked his lips and nodded. “I like it.”
“I thought you might. After all, I kind of owe you after my fudge disaster last week.”
Loki gave you a knowing smile—in fact, you had never seen him smile like this before. Making your own fudge for Christmas was a tradition you had inhabited from your mother. The God of Mischief had a sweet tooth, which was probably the reason you had started your own sticky mission in the first place.
You had promised him a plate full of it all to himself—until the Avengers had spotted the treats in the kitchen and ate them all up without asking or leaving but a crumb.
“Perhaps I should have you for dessert instead, (Y/N). Do tell, would you taste sweeter?”
Blinking, your eyes widened, a shy smirk spreading on your lips. Oh… what? “Are you flirting with me? I shouldn’t have given you glühwein.” And still, your heart skipped a beat. Where was this coming from? You hated yourself for suspecting he might want to distract you to get away, yet the silly girl inside you was flattered by his bold remark.
“You are the only one spending time with me without being forced to. I wonder why that is.” He teased, smirking mischievously.
He couldn’t know. You didn’t even know yourself. Was there… more? Your fascination with him went beyond healthy, that you were aware of but actual feelings? You had practically reached for his hand only minutes ago.
Busted, you bit your lower lip.
“You’re not that bad, Loki.” I like you.
“Am I right?”
You were shaking. Fine, it was the cold, the glühwein barely helping to warm your frozen limbs. Was he right?
“What if you were?”
Loki smirked. He knew he had won. Smiling to himself, he emptied his cup and watched you do the same before you made your way back to the manor. It was getting dark already—Tony and the others would be back soon and you hardly wanted to be caught outside.
Time had passed fast, especially while talking to Loki, walking in the snow which had started to fall.
“God, I’m freezing!” You exclaimed when the door fell shut behind you.
You were trembling by the time you finally returned, with you barely making an effort to properly hang up your coat in the wardrobe. At least you had made it in time.
What you needed right now was a hot shower or even better, a hot bath that would warm you up, defrosting your limbs and relaxing with a good book and some music.
“I’m gonna take a bath. Go now if you need something because I’ll lock the d—“
Loki seemed to have different plans though. A surprised scream escaped your lips when he suddenly yanked you against his body so you collided with his rock-hard chest, his lips devouring yours in a heated moment of buzzing passion.
His tongue invaded your mouth, granting himself access to taste yours. Your eyes fell shut, electric shocks rippling through your veins, stealing your ability to think. This was not how you had planned for this trip to end. Not that you were complaining—you finally admitted it. You were crushing on Loki, you were falling for this mischievous god and now, he was eagerly taking what you offered him.
“Let me warm you up,” he purred seductively, his hot breath brushing against your earlobes. He pressed his lips against your neck, tasting your skin, nibbling to leave a love bite. Knowing it would put on display what he was doing to you sent a surging heat right between your legs—a cunning place to which he slowly sneaked a hand to cup your sex through your pants.
You gasped audibly when he pushed you against the cool wall in the hallway, trapping you between it and his body. He growled when his growing erection poked your thighs, his hand working frantically to slide into your pants.
A moan escaped your lips when he succeeded, his cold and long fingers toying with your pussy lips and teasing your slit. You were wet. You were soaking wet.
“Are you… are you actually going to do this? Loki… I don’t think that’s a good idea.” A good idea to get attached. Sharing something this intimate with him… would you be able to bear it if the two of you didn’t work out? You doubted it would. Loki was an actual God—he could have anyone—someone immortal, most of all and yet… he had just kissed you senseless. You!
“Thor and the others will be back any minute. We could get caught!” You continued, fear glistening in your eyes along with… excitement? Thrill?
“You trust me, do you not?” Loki only whispered in response, his blue eyes never leaving yours when he started moving his fingers, collecting some of your slick arousal to spread it over your clit and then circle it lazily.
“I-I do.” Of course you did. You had taken him outside although the Avengers had bloody forbidden it… and he hadn’t run away. Loki was still here—currently, with his hands where you hadn’t even known you wanted him the most.
“Then try to keep quiet, pet.” With that, he kissed you once more, this time so gently you practically melted under his touches. His fingers never ceased to massage your sensitive bundle of nerves until you writhed against him, begging for more friction. Every stroke sent you flying higher and higher until you were moaning shamelessly, your own fingers digging into his shoulders for support.
Loki’s lips parted as he watched you, lust and desire prominent in his blue eyes. He had seen the fascination radiating off you when you thought he didn’t notice your interested staring but now… now he was the one being fascinated.
You were careless, helpless, defenceless and hopelessly high on pleasure—pleasure he gifted you. The thought had his aching member twitch in his tight leather pants. He needed to have you.
His movements grew faster, more intense, two of his long digits burying themselves deep inside your core to curl right where you needed it. The slick sounds of your dripping pussy resembled music in his ears and only added to your arousal when you tensed, your whole body preparing for an explosion of pure bliss.
You screamed his name when you came undone for him, clenching around his fingers and rocking your hips against his hand until your legs failed to support you any longer. Shaking, you threatened to fall to the ground if it wasn’t for Loki to catch you and lift you up.
“Are you warm now, pet?” He asked, smirking and winking at you. Unable to respond properly, you simply nodded out of breath, glaring up at him in joyful anticipation. “Bathroom?”
“Bathroom…”
He chuckled darkly as he locked you both inside, licking his lips before removing your clothes.
“(Y/N)? Loki? We’re back!” Thor’s voice. Stopping dead in your tracks for only a brief moment, you listened to the door being opened and several footsteps in the hallway.
The God of Mischief brought a finger to his lips—one of the fingers that had been deep inside you only seconds ago. You swallowed thickly, grinning at him.
Breaking the rules definitely was fun. You’d learned from your own lesson today.
Okay, so I headcanon that Shadow occasionally roams the earth solely to admire its form because he and Maria wished to visit earth when they were on the ark. I feel like he keeps Maria's desire to do so and does so in place of her, frequently imagining her being with him. Prompt: Shadow keeps visiting a particular spot near where Amy visits(or same place) and they gradually start to become close by pure coincidence? Tweak it as you like, I want to see what changes you make to make it better 😊
PROMPTS ARE TEMPORARILY ON SHUTDOWN. Don’t request any until further notice, thank you.
Been excited to do this one… especially since I’m all about that one-sided Shadamy XD But I’ll work on platonic this time, so no worries ;p
Prompt:
‘It really is beautiful, Maria… You would have liked it.’ Shadow began his normal walk around the lush, grassy plains just outside of City Square. Not only did he despise the city, but he hated the many stares of those who walked by him. Women pulling their children closer, or men giving him wary looks, as if unsure whether to scorn him or simply leave him be.
But this… this route was far from judgment. It was where he could think in peace… a peace he had long since been denied the pleasure of.
The metal on his shoe scrapped against the slightly soggy mud of the greenest grass that waved like ripples on the sea against the earth. Thousands of small hairs… as Shadow tried to describe it.
He would constantly try and figure out ways to describe where he was. As if… she could hear his thoughts.
Where would she like to go? What would she want to know about? The more his thoughts ran wild on the subject, the more quieter the world became… and the greater his melancholy swarmed his chest and left him breathing comfortably still.
He started realizing that he truly didn’t know much about Maria. Though she meant everything to him, he had no clue what earth scenery she enjoyed the most.
He made his way over to a waterfall but paused behind some trees when he noticed something moving under the waterfall’s downhill current.
Becoming cautious, he peered further into the bush and tree-gaps in front of him… until he saw her.
Amy flipped her hair back, letting the water roll down her open-back dress and raise her head up with a smile as the water tilted down her cheeks and washed the muck of the day off of her.
She kicked her feet out and laughed, before hopping out from underneath the waterfall and giggling a moment as she finished shaking herself free of loose droplets.
She jumped from one rock to another, before growing nervous at the rush of warm, summer wind that revealed a shaded figure in front of her. Seeming to hide in the light forest shrubbery and short standing trees, she braced herself.
“Hello?” She readied her hand to summon her hammer, about to take a step forward, her eyes narrowing down. “Show yourself! Or I’ll have to come in after ya!”
“…That won’t be necessary.”
“H-huh?” She was startled by the voice, as she momentarily lifted her foot she was about to let step forward. “S-Shadow!?”
Shadow walked out from his surroundings, moving aside to avoid tree branches and close, brushy bushes. But as he did so, Amy wobbled in her surprised and fell in, splashing up from the waterfall’s pool beneath it.
“You scared me! I was hoping for Sonic!” She spat out some water before staying put where she was, watching him curve around the outside of the edge and look up at the waterfall.
“What are you doing here?” He folded his arms and stared back at her.
“Hmph, I was going to ask you the same thing.” She puffed up a side of her cheek, making a sound of disapproval before shrugging it off. “Ah, well. It’s a free world.” She winked charmingly before swimming over to him.
“Hey! Are you just out and about like I am?” She came up to the edge just behind him, as he looked off and away from her.
“You could say that.”
“So you do love to take in the sights!” her eyes shined at this new found discovery. “I knew you weren’t all bad!”
He frowned, tsk’ing at her naiveness.
Still… her presence could be useful.
“How would you describe this waterfall?” His attention was pulled back to its sparkling cascades of shimmering, babbling life.
“Huh? The waterfall?” Amy blinked her eyes in confusion, lifting her arms up to the water’s edge and then peering over at it’s magnificent, curved, and watery stairwell.
“I’d say… it was like a song.”
Shifting his head a little aways, he seemed very confused and sighed.
He put a hand to his forehead, rubbing it. “That… makes no sense.”
“Hehe! We just see things differently then!” she concluded and got up. “I could also say,” she climbed out of the water and began squeezing the ends of her dress out, flapping them a bit but not too much in front of ‘company’. “It’s rapidly progressing through the many stages of its life.” She looked at its many descending rock formations. “The water is one unit, but… you could also see it as individuals.”
He wasn’t willing to listen to a physiological examination of a waterfall. His eyelids drooped in annoyance at the stupidity of it all.
“The water bends and twists… there’s new paths to follow. And some streams take different routes, but they all end up at the same, looooong fall down to the main pool.” She followed a stream of water until it finally plummeted down.
He was actually surprised he was still paying attention.
“You see? Each path was carved through centuries of some pieces of water deciding on a different course of action. I think that’s wonderful. It’s like all the pieces of a well-developed song. There’s the main lyrical, and then the many instruments on the side.” She glided her eyes down many different avenues the water could take to reach the fall, and then smiled warmly to Shadow.
She placed her hands behind her back and leaned forward a bit, wondering if he was still paying attention. “But if you were Sonic, I would just say it’s a rushing waterfall. He’d get the picture.”
“…Just… a waterfall…” Shadow thought about that, before looking back to her ducking his head down a moment, glaring… “If you were to describe this to a child… would you use the same, figurative speech? Or the condensed version?”
“Hehe, depends on the child.” Amy lightened up from his odd act and decided not to push it further. “What would you say? I bet that’s what really counts.” She blinked over to him, still cheery as ever. “Or does ‘rushing waterfall’ do it for ya, too?” she laughed.
“…No. I would describe it a little more. Remark on the light reflecting or the sounds around it.” He looked around the area, before back at the waterfall. “It’s impressive though… seeing something in so many different ways.” He then gave her a playful look, raising an eyebrow up to make fun of her momentarily. “Do you ever wish it was just a rushing waterfall?”
She stopped laughing with a jolt, before pouting and pursing her lips over at him, hunched after losing some of her confidence for a moment. “That seems harsh.” She then looked away and her shoulders bounced in glee. “Nah… I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
As she looked off, Shadow watched the wind pull some more of her wet hair over her shoulders… before she turned slowly back to him, looking more genuine and purer than before. “I love looking at something… with fresh, new eyes every time.” She beamed, almost like the crashing of the waterfall, she had spun around with the same, gentle velocity it had taken.
His eyes widened slightly.
“I love looking at something again and again! Till I can fully grasp what it means…”
“What it.. means?” he seemed confused but intrigued. “What meaning?”
“No,” she giggled, shaking her head out and spreading her arms to her sides, “I mean… Life.” She began to wander a bit off, kicking out her feet and following after the motion with her eyes. “I guess I’m just a kid in that regard too.” she gave him one last smile, before taking off.
Accidentally, they kept meeting like that. And every time, Shadow learned a new way to describe what he was looking at.
He thought Maria would like Amy. Her unique outlook on life and the things pertaining to it was something anyone could sit and listen too. Marvel at even. If they gave her enough credit and time to talk it out, that is.
Soon, even Shadow was laughing. And once Amy got him opening up about things, she wouldn’t let him close himself off again.
She would walk with him and describe things around her like clouds are like bunnies, women are oceans and men are wildfires, and lastly…
“Shadows… I think shadows haunt where light can’t touch.”
He stopped then.
“Hmm?” she turned around, used to him brooding to himself for long periods of time, just thinking to himself, but it annoyed her greatly to feel left out of the conversation or moment.
She pouted, slightly turning her head to advance on but keeping her eyes looking over her shoulder at him.
They were up on a narrow hill, and she was doing her best to keep her balance, finding it all a game when-
She started to balance with her arms out again and look down at her feet, humming when he remained looking down until the sun covered his eyes.
“Amy… I think… Shadows are longing for where the light does touch.”
She stopped, pulling her arms back in and slowly looking back in a bit of guilt.
“…Shadows can get lonely sometimes… when they’re without.” She held the back of her hand and pulled them close to her chest, thinking… “But… I think memories are meant to be made and discovered… not just remembered and forgotten.”
“What if Shadows are the forgotten memories?” he seemed to be getting a little defensive, but there was a quiet sorrow there…
“No.” she turned around, her eyes full of compassion for his words. She shook her head, “No, no, no. That’s not true! And you know it’s not.” She slightly stomped her foot down. “Shadow… There are more people out there that need you to shade them from the harsh sunlight that constantly burns their suntans!” She flopped her arms down by her sides, as he looked up with squinted eyes, utterly confused again.
“…What?” he dropped another eyebrow down and rose the other, attempting to hear her out on this one… as he did all her odd explanations to things.
She held herself a second, before turning to look at the setting sun again.
His eyes were viewable again, so she smiled, lowering her head to fiddle a moment with twisting her toe into the grassy hillside… before closing her eyes and giggling again.
“It can be really hot sometimes. And people do need to cool off… but I don’t know how to relate that to you…” she opened them to sweetly address him again. “I… Think I may be at a loss of words… but I do know this. You’re a constant, Shadow. You never leave someone’s side. You engulf them when they feel alone in the dark. And when harsh lights are drawn on them, you support and hold them up from the back. You never fully dwindle away. You are always a friend. Always watching with the will to help. I believe that much is true.” She nodded.
There was an uncomfortable moment of silence…
Before Shadow chuckled.
“Haha…hahaha!” he actually swung his head about himself a bit, before placing a tender hand on his stomach. “Hahaha….Hahaha! A loss of words, you say?”
Suddenly, Amy was full out laughing too.
Their laughter carried across the wind and open plains… until Shadow stopped a moment to look back at her.
‘Maria…’
As the sun set, Amy’s laughing figure began to slowly fade away.
‘Amy is like her namesake. A rose. Red for passion, and gentle with a will for life. A desire to live it to it’s fullest. She pulls all into her beautiful way of seeing things. She’s not afraid… of darkness… or the light… I can only describe her as… well,… thriving.”
Ship: warnette #16 In the coat room of a theatre (Its poisonbooknerd)
(Theatre Coatroom + Whyhaven’t you kissed me yet)
Ofc these two would do it in a coatroom. But I was distracted and forgot it was specifically a theatre coatroom so it turned into a fancy place coatroom xD
also, spies AU
Rated E ofc
Oh God. OhGod! OH GOD!
She’dactually blurted out to Warner how beautiful she thinks he is. WHAT WAS WRONGWITH HER? Why, oh why, couldn’t she for once stay quiet? Keep her secrets toherself, like a long forgotten book, gathering dust on a high shelf in adarkened corner of a closed-off library? Secrets had power and once you letthem go… They do not lose power.
Someoneelse gets it.
“Juliette,love… Please stop!” His voice trailed after her, so perfect and beautiful andsure of itself. She wanted to fall asleep to it, she wanted to wake up to it,she wanted to be completely enveloped by it.
But shealso wanted a hole to die in.
First she’dspent a good half an hour watching the way his body moved as he bench-pressed.The outlines of his body, the valleys and mountains of his toned muscles, thegolden glow of his skin. Then, Kenji had caught her ogling their colleague andthat was the first time that day that Juliette had wished for a hole to die in.
Second timehad been in the elevator on their way to get ready. He’d spoken to her in thatway he always did, as if she was the only thing that mattered in the world tohim, yet he was just going through the specs of their mission. Juliette hadtripped (TRIPPED!) on the way out and fallen into his arms, planting an openmouth kiss on his chest. Sure, he had a tailored shirt on, a tailored toperfection (she had to thank the tailor for their talent, oh yes), but she’dstill kissed his chest.
A. Damned.Kiss. On. His. Chest.
Where was ahole when she needed one?
And thirdtime had been five minutes ago, during that deadly tango.
Out of allthe things their mission handler had suggested the two to do in order tomingle, dancing the tango had been the worst. And exactly the one chosen.
By.
Kenji.
Afterdying, Juliette would gladly kill Kenji.
Body tobody, cheek to cheek, Juliette’s heart was not a heart. It was a drum. It was abattery of drums. A worldof drums. Drum drum drum drum drum! Drum! Drum! She was a professional, yet her heartflickered between beating and dying, beating and dying, beating and dying.
And AaronWarner, her partner… Who she had hated at first, who had replaced her estrangedformer partner and lover, who had turned her world upside down with just onesmile and a perfect pair of dimples… He’d looked as calm as the sea on awindless day.
She wasdying.
And he wasthriving.
And then…her mouth had done something stupid, something so incredibly stupid… “You’re sobeautiful…”
The dancehad been almost over, everyone already distracted with their own dancing andmingling, Kenji somewhere making use of his invisibility skills and finishingthe mission as per plan. And Warner had hesitated, nearly missing a step.“…What?” It was a breath, a caress on her cheek, almost imagined. But she’dheard it. And she felt it. She did.
“I…” Shetried, but her mouth had gone on holidays, leaving her stranded on this island.Stranded to deal with her inability to keep her secrets… A secret.
“Juliette…I thought… You said…” Oh no, oh God. His voice broke in a thousand differentways, in a thousand different shards, aimed straight at her, straight at herrefusals, straight at their ruined kisses. Breaking them into dust. Because herwords hadn’t said just her thoughts on his looks, oh no… Her words had also letout the rest of her secrets. It was in the way her voice thickened, it was inthe way her breath halted, it was in the way she’d pressed her body to his.
It was inthe way she’d ran.
Becauseafter letting Warner in on one secret, she had to let him in on the rest.
She hopedKenji had finished the job, because getting back in there was out of thequestion. Out. Of. The. Question.
“Juliette…!”A hand on the crook of her arm, a body crashing into hers. Or was it herscrashing into his? “Please…!” He begged, eyes wild, that wonderful green oftheirs so perfect, so beautiful. A pair of emeralds, the most rare andpriceless emeralds to ever exist. “Why… why did you say…? Juliette! WAIT!”
She tookoff again, running and running and running.
Hide. Shehad to hide.
Thecoatroom.
Well, itcertainly was a good hiding spot. Except for her feet. Which had been thegiveaway.
A hand atfirst, then an arm, and then… Him.
In thedark, his eyes were near black, yet they shinned like midday sun. Oh God… Herheart, her heart…
“Juliette…”He stepped completely into the sea of coats, his tall frame shutting out thedim lights of the coatroom. His scent surrounded her, held her close, filledher lungs to the brim, made her almost sigh in delirium. “Please don’t run awayagain.” He whispered, “Please, tell me… What… What happened?” His hand was onher hair, tugging away stray locks of hair that’d fallen off of her bun.
“I…Nothing… Nothing happened…”
He squeezedhis eyes shut in pain, and sighed, “You said… You said… That. And leaned in, as if you were going to kiss me, love. Andthen you ran. You ran… Please…! Please, Juliette…” She’d… leaned in? Oh God.And here he was, begging her. Begging.“I love you, Juliette. Don’t play with my heart this way… please, love.”
Oh.
Oh, shewould die. She was dying.
She took ina shaky breath, “I… we can’t. We can’t, Warner.” She shook her head, halfway toadmitting the truth, the secrets, to destroying that fortress she’d socarefully built around her heart.
He pressedhis head against hers, so overcome with emotions his body shook all over,“Juliette, love… Of course we can. Together, we can do anything. We couldconquer the world. You and I, love. Just… just tell me.”
God. God.God.
Her legswere gelatine, her heart still that planet of drums, her mind fogged up so muchshe could only think of Warner and his body so close, so close, so close. “Whyhaven’t you kissed me yet?” First she couldn’t speak, her mouth having desertedher. Now, she said this.
Warnerfroze, eyes so wide, so wide.
She carriedon, her mouth somehow having decided to take over the situation. Probably tiredof all the secrets Juliette insisted on keeping so much. Tired of the missedkisses, of the ruined ones, of every chance she’d sabotaged on purpose. Becauseshe wasn’t ready for Warner. For them. For this. Not then. But now… “Warner…Aaron… I… I love you.” There.
Bomb.
Dropped.
And nopossible escape.
How longhad she kept those words a secret? How long had she averted her eyes when herheart drummed so long the whole world could hear? How long?
A soundescaped his control. A gasp, or a whimper.
Maybe both.
And then hekissed her.
Oh God, didhe kiss her.
It wasn’tjust a kiss. It was all the kisses they’d shared before (four, to be exact),all the missed kisses, all the dreamed kisses, all the kisses he kept safe inhis breast pocket, all together in this one press of the lips. He moved hismouth against hers, a silent beg for her to open her lips, to let him in, lethim in, let him in. Juliette did so gladly, hands grabbing handfuls of hisperfect shirt and pulling him in, drawing him closer.
Closer.
Warnertugged on her dress, confused with it and rasped against her lips, “I need thisup,” He tugged on it again, pulling it up, up, up. Coat hangers rattled aroundthem, yet Juliette didn’t even notice them. Her skin burned with every kiss andtouch and brush of bodies. It yearned for Warner, just like her heart ached forhim, just like her lungs gasped for him. Her very soul seemed to whisper hisname, Warner, Warner, Warner… Aaron.Aaron. Aaron…
Drawing astraight line of feverish kisses down her throat, Warner moved straight to herchest, pressing hot kisses in the space between her breasts and where her heartwas surely trying to beat its way out. A strap of her dress fell, and Warnerwasted no second in kissing the exposed skin. Speak… Oh, Juliette didn’t knowhow to speak anymore, no. With each kiss of his she lost more and morerationality, letting this moment wrap around her, tug her down, bury her in itswonder and perfection.
In oneswift movement, Warner pulled her panties down and hoisted her up, “Wrap yourlegs around me, love…” His voice was thick, raspy with lust and love,desperation ruling his speech. Juliette did as asked, biting her lip in rawanticipation when she heard the sound of pants unzipping and falling to theground. Warner’s lips were back on hers, just a breath away, “Juliette…” Hewhispered her name. Just her name. Like a promise, a vow, a sacred word. Etchedinto his heart, part of his soul.
“Aaron…”She answered in kind, hoping he could hear the way her heart seemed to sing forhim, because of him. Her beautiful partner, her wonderful partner, her Warner.
He easedinto her, a groan in the back of his throat, and pressed a kiss on her lips.Soft, tender, a caress so intimate Juliette wished to build a museum just forthis kiss. “Move with me, love. Move with me…” He groaned as he began to rollhis hips against hers, moving in and out, in and out, in and out.
Julietteheld back her moans at first, faintly remembering where they were, but soonreality slipped away, like water slipping through her fingers, giving place tothis little bubble of theirs. It was just her and Warner, the two, moving togetherso perfectly, so wonderfully. She held on to him hard, dragging her nails downhis back. As she freed him of his shirt, she felt the paradox of his body,those muscles toned to perfection, hard under her hands. And then his scars,mission scars, secret scars, crisscrossing his golden skin, a strange mapetched forever on his body. A map she wanted to study, a map she wanted to kissaway.
She droppedher head on the crook of his neck as their pace grew faster and their moansgrew louder, she relished on the feel of him inside her and all around her, onhow perfect it was, how nothing in this world could ever compare to it. Nopainting, no epic poem, no perfect sunrise. Nothing could ever do justice toAaron Warner fitting her so perfectly, nothing could make her feel ascompletely satisfied and full with bliss as Aaron Warner moving inside her likean old lover that knew all her quirks and wishes and preferences. Nothing.
“Juliette,love… Oh, God…” He growled against her skin, his breath burning hot, “I thinkmy heart might explode…” Oh, oh… Hers too, hers too… Juliette felt her heartgrowing and growing and growing, its limits and seams stretching to theirlimits as they moved and kissed and moved and kissed.
This wasit, this was the moment she was certain stars would stop breathing just towitness and create a constellation in its honour. The moment their finalthreads on reality snapped and the two came undone together, their names oneach other’s lips, the raw cries echoing in the dimly lit coatroom.
Juliettewondered if her chest could heave harder as silence settled around them. Herhands tight around Warner, her face buried in the crook of his neck, shewondered just that. Not why no one was interrupting them, not when someonewould rush in and ruin the moment. But if her lungs had any strength left.
Warner tooka breath, about to speak, when another voice interrupted him and the two frozemid-breath, “All right, guys. I got what we needed. See you at the meetingpoint in an hour. Try to be discreet!” Kenji’s voice buzzed in their ears as heinterrupted their radio silence to announce the mission was done.
Themission.
Juliettewanted to die.
“We forgotthe mission! We forgot Kenji!” She gasped, lifting her head just enough to besure Warner understood her.
“It seemswe did, love. Thankfully we didn’t have our coms on, I would prefer to die ifKishimoto had any inkling of what just happened.” His voice was thick, raw fromtheir passionate embrace. “We should go as well, Juliette.”
She bit backa whimper as he settled her down, coats rustling around them. “Can you come tomy room tonight?” She asked once they were out, coats on.
Warnerlooked around and pulled her in for a kiss, a hand on her small of her back,“Anything for you, love. You know it.”
She smiledagainst the kiss, “I love you, Aaron.”
“I love youtoo, Juliette.” He sighed, “But Kishimoto can’t know yet, or he won’t leave usalone the whole ride back home.”
Juliettelaughed, “I’d rather die before telling him a thing.”
“Good.”
What We Do In Bram Stoker’s Dracula
alright so i rambled on about this in the Discord buuuut this is a slightly more shiny and cleaner version! :D *enthusiastic single party blower goes off* okay so tbh it’s kiiinnd of gunna be the same thing but just, idk, with a little more information lol. while there’s a few details a bit more ‘set in stone’ plenty is open and i’m seriously flexible with ideas so don’t hesitate throw any suggestions at me~ you can DM me on Discord (it’s Nazcool#8991 if u happen to come across this train wreck and don’t know wtf i’m talking about) if you’re interested and/or have any questions (and if there’s enough of y’all that wanna coordinate maybe we can get a channel up/a group chat or somethin’ & go from there <3)
**if u see that there’s no info for w/e character it just means i literally have no ideas for ‘em so go wild & have fun~**
EDIT 1: I FORGOT THE BRIDES OF DRACULA AAAAHH + other details lol
btw this is a two part ad so bear with me as i try to keep things organized:
Part I.
alright alright alright so like i said think Dracula but with 75% less charm & wit & competence. the characters for the ad will have vibes of satire of something resembling being srs but at the same time they’re just ridiculous & dramatic & just, idk, too much™ at times (maybe even more so than Dracula Dead and Loving It lololol). i’m gunna be playing The Dracula role (he doesn’t have a name yet ssssshhhh but at least i have Luke Evans as his face??? :D :D :| okay cheesy as hell i know i know pls forgive me) but everyone else is open! i’m going with the main few folks for rn but in all honesty if you wanna play another character from Dracula that i don’t have listed pls be my guest?? as for ideas themselves i’m still figuring my guy out so what might be listed for him may change -but i’ll update things so dw about that- & tbh besides a few main details for The Mina Harker character i’m super flexible on everything so just holler at me if ur interested :D
also just ‘cause this might be more silly doesn’t mean there can’t be drama~ & sadness~ & murder~ pls pls gimme all the tragic stuff!!
BTW u can race/gender bend any of the characters in the list tbh lol (i’m doing a gender bend for The Mina Harker + The Jonathan Harker so yeh go for it babes <3 <3 <3)
A L S O, u don’t have to be that well-versed with the book/characters u just need a basic grasp so that the character can be barely influenced by the original one. If u need help with any of this just lemme know i am more than glad to aid u <3
roles:
The Dracula- taken. so hey i’ll be playing The Dracula! I’m still working out how old he is but he’s probably gunna be old old to keep with the #aesthetic of the character (also i wanna have it so that he’s still oblivious to some more 80s day things & he’s that weirdo who dresses in old clothing when not in public). Think between 1800 and 2000 y/o old xD;;; anyway so backstory is still obv. In Progress but really he was probably stupid and got himself turned into a vampire ‘cause he was a gullible fuck & now has to suffer with the consequences -this includes adapting to having pointy sharp teeth, feeding on the living in order to survive, and outliving everyone that u have ever loved :’D he’s totes fine w/ this guys it’s fine. he pretty much struggled for ages & while he likes to exaggerate/romanticize what happened to him it was pretty terrible™ & he has plenty of a fuck up under his belt. over time he got to know other folks + vampires & he adapted but not enough? like he’ll quote you some fancy-ass poem to be elegant~ and he has a pity party every 5 seconds & gets pissy when no one pays attention to him he’s just needlessly #dramatic
somehow, he pissed off a family of vampire hunters who have been going after him ever since??? i haven’t plotted out when this began so it’s open as of rn lololol & it’s The Abraham Van Helsing who is now in charge of hunting him down~ (more info, or rather just ideas, in The Abraham Van Helsing character section)
& now here comes the more complicated section tbh: so i haven’t planned out when this happened yet -i’m torn between sometime just before/after he was turned into a vampire or during WWI big range i know- but he fell in love w/ a man & that man died tragically so he decided to try to be w/ the guy’s kid only for them to die too at some point but not before they had a kid (might be bad luck? might be a curse? who knows *shrug.gif*) so yeah fast forward MANY YEARS & now he’s trying to be with The Mina Harker who is the last(?) possible descendant of his first love. rn they’ve been best friends for 6 yrs w/o The Mina Harker knowing A. that The Dracula is in fact a vampire, B. that he is the descendant of the first man The Dracula loved, & C. that The Dracula is, in fact, in love with him -he just thinks he’s a rad and weird best friend who does weird stuff at weird times of the day. SO YEH that’s his awkward life he’s just trying to be w/ the love of his life piss off other vampires/hunters/supernatural creatures/world pls & ty
he’s also super weird ‘cause he doesn’t wanna turn any of the descendants into vampires??? which makes each death more painful ‘cause he has a code or w/e & it’s becoming more & more tempting w/ each descendant so yaaay for drama~
also! he has a few roommates & there might be a documentary being made about them which is detailed in Part II. of this ad~
The Mina Harker- open. as listed in The Dracula section The Mina Harker is the descendant of the first man The Dracula loved & The Dracula has been pinning for him for the past 6-ish yrs. rn they’re the best of friends & The Mina Harker thinks The Dracula is a totally good guy -he’s a mostly™ good guy *cough*- & super cool but also super odd but he likes him a lot anyway as a best friend lololol. as for the descendants of the first guy honestly that’s pretty open (like The Dracula pretty much loved every guy after that BUT if there was only a female descendant at the time he loved them too even if they weren’t his technical preference ‘cause love > all) but they pretty much died in bad ways??? like it could be mundane bad ways like illness or war or it could be off-the-walls weird like being crushed by an elephant or getting struck by lightning five times idk idk whether it’s just Bad Luck on The Dracula’s part or a curse is open so yeh lmao.
ANYWAY so for personality i was thinking that this descendant is more on the quiet/introverted side??? like he’s super nice to ppl and wants to help but confrontation??? big groups??? talking to ppl a lot??? not his forte he is an awkward bby. while The Dracula & he aren’t exactly the same personality-wise they get along absolutely great which probably is even more tough for The Dracula ‘cause??? he loves him??? & has to protect him from all of the other vampires who probably wanna eat him??? like pls no he wants this guy to live leave him alone *sobs*
there’ll probably be ppl to try to stop The Dracula from pursuing his dreams maybe because they’re dicks but actually probably because The Dracula is a dick & he has a few skeletons in his closet (he dresses them up in costumes for Halloween & nobody's the wiser, except for his roommates ofc) but it’ll just be random and confusing to The Mina Harker ‘cause, yeh, who would hate his bestie???
besides being best friends w/ The Dracula for about 6 yrs, being engaged to The Jonathan Harker (for w/e reason is up to u tho it could be funny that he wanted to fulfill some wish/will that a dying relative had aka them trying to fuck over The Dracula), not knowing that The Dracula is a vampire despite possible signs + ppl maybe hinting/telling him, & woops having no kids of his own & he’s what thirty or forty-something that’s a nail-biter for The Dracula for sure everything about the character’s past is open!
okay so final lame part but i’d absolutely LOVE it if you used Michael Fassbender as the fc ‘cause I <3 him a million times BUT if you really don’t want 2 you don’t have 2 i won’t force u into that decision if you like the idea but wanna use someone else~
The Jonathan Harker- open. an idea i had for this one is that, for whatever reason, she’s engaged to The Mina Harker character & they’re pretty much complete opposites. she’s a nice girl but she just… is too active. a pure extrovert by nature, she’s always going to parties and socializing and dragging The Mina Harker along with her. she loves him with all of her heart it seems though it appears as if she really doesn’t listen to her fiance & enjoys the concept of him rather than who he is actually. The Dracula is pissed off about this and has contemplated her death approximately fifty five times now. probably calls her vapid or w/e while he’s on his pity party couch (yes that’s a thing don’t judge) rofl
The Abraham Van Helsing- open. the idea i have for him is that he is the descendant of the family who have vowed to hunt down The Dracula. kind of awkward because The Dracula just wants to be left the fuck alone (and okay maybe he wants to kill a few peasants in peace but he can’t seem to get what he wants, can he?) but overall the tone is that this guy hates The Dracula. however, times have changed a bit and nowadays he just confronts The Dracula, declares his hatred for the man, and then pretty much just resumes his day. maybe puts garlic in the doorway to a place in order to disrupt The Dracula, switches out regular spoons for silver ones, etc. etc. etc. (honestly, on occasion, he more brings up the fact that The Dracula is in love with a man rather than being a blood-sucking vampire which makes The Dracula go :/. ALSO PLOT POINT if u wanna go this direction but mb actually the reason The Abraham Van Helsing keeps going on about this is because he's trying to push The Dracula away and has feelings for The Mina Harker??? idk idk late-night ideas flooding in here lmao). overall, he just acts like a prick to The Dracula tho The Dracula probably deserves it lololol. it doesn’t help that they live in the same building, which typically causes The Abraham Van Helsing to be locked out on stormy evenings while The Dracula bemoans whatever fate he thinks up at the time on the couch near the entrance.
the fc i have in mind is Jonny Lee Miller ‘cause i really like his appearance in Elementary but tbh if you have anyone else in mind go right ahead!
The Brides of Dracula- (shhhh ignore the fact that i forgot this section initially) so that this is pretty open since there'll probably be at least a few folks The Dracula has turned like the dumbfuck he is lololol. more than likely they have their own lives but they may??? still have contact w/ him??? & while he pretends to not give a fuck about them they're like his kids???? like pester him for money and he'll be all ‘Why??? I just gave you some!!’ but if anyone hates them he'll be all ‘Don't talk to me or my 100 children ever again’ & be defensive. overall he'll still be an asshole to them lololol
i have two vague af ideas just in case u guys are interested:
the first one is that this progeny has an actually good relationship with The Dracula & is always visiting (or mb lives in the same building idk) & is always bringing him presents and nice stuff & mb looks out for The Mina Harker when The Dracula can't (probably helps cover up a lot of crap ‘cause The Dracula is a mess tbh *shrug emoji*).
the second is a progeny obsessed w/ The Dracula & wants to be w/ him forever & doesn't wanna share him w/ any1 else. which a major problem cause??? The Dracula is in love with The Mina Harker??? so mb this progeny wants to sabotage the relationship anyway they can??? & wants The Mina Harker dead???
they can be any ethnicity/gender ‘cause The Dracula doesn't discriminate LOL
Brides:
any #
The Renfield- open.
The Lucy Westenra- open.
The John Seward- open.
The Quincey Morris- open.
The Arthur Holmwood- open.
Part. II
soooo for this part the concept is fairly simple: i wanna have a What We Do In The Shadows sort of plot where my character has a few roommates (preferably 3-5 though the number isn’t in stone yet) and they’re all weird af. not only that but potentially??? they have a documentary being made about them -w/ 80s London aesthetics + technology- due to vampires revealing themselves 2 years prior. it’s still in production which means there’s at least one cameraman around at all times. my character is dreading the time when it’ll be showed on TV because he has been trying to hide the fact that he is a vampire (alright really only to his love interest & best friend he dgaf if anyone else knows). like, think: he enters one of the rooms, minding his own business, & while the camera is technically focused on something else you still see him as he tries to walk backwards as inconspicuous as possible. he can’t deny that he loves the attention, though, so there are points/gunna be points where he’s more featured and may “subtly” try to push aside whichever roommate is around in order to be noticed.
he may or may not threaten the others with death and doom on a daily basis as well over the smallest of things -at this point his roommates know he’s full of shit, tho the crew might not woopsie
ALSO, there's (1) amulet to walk in the sun among all of them (probably his but idk lol) so everyone is always fighting over it rofl he is not happy that he can't be normalish all the time. they probably try to be all fancy but really they're doing rock-paper-scissors or tossing a coin. plans are ruined all the time, ppl are pissed off, good times.
there won’t be any technical ‘inspirations’ for any of the spots from the movie but honestly if ya wanna base your character on one of the wacky vampires go right ahead! everything about the roommates are open & while i prefer them to be vampires due to the aforementioned info but if you have an idea for another species (besides human) lemme know!
**also if u wanna make inspirations for the other characters from the movie besides the roommates 2 be involved w/ them too go right ahead~**
roles:
The Roommates:
(3-5 individuals)
The Crew:
(any # of individuals, at least one-two cameramen)
Fluff Alphabet: Kanami Kentou
Tumblr media
My love for this girl is unreal. AliceSoft could not have created a more perfect waifu if they tried. She’s always fun to write as well.
Kanami fits the fluff definition really well, and she deserves nothing more than hugs and kisses!!!
First time doing one of these sorta things, so I hope it turns out alright.
Activities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
Kanami is a big girly girl, so she’d love to go shopping and read shoujo manga! Cuddling is also an absolute must.
Beauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?
Kanami’s ideal type of person is the classic knight in shining armor. She wants to be with someone who treats her like a princess in a way.
Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
She would rub their back, give them sweets, and hold their hand to make them feel better.
Dreams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?
Kanami will probably keep things mostly casual for quite some time. That being said, she does want things to get more serious down the road.
Equal - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?
She might be a bit more submissive, but not by much.
Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?
Kanami has a bit of short temper from time to time. She might get a bit mad if she's having a bad day, but will apologize soon after.
Gratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?
She is very grateful to have such a loving S/O. She'll be well aware of their love for her, and return it fully.
Honesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?
Even if she tried, Kanami isn't too good at hiding secrets. She'll probably spill the beans out at some point or another.
Inspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?
Kanami, being a tsundere, would obviously become more open towards her S/O. She'd be much happier with life as well, most likely taking up things like cooking and sewing, even if she might not be the best at it.
Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
It really depends. If it's a friend of her S/O, then she won't mind at all. But if someone is hitting on them, she'll probably get a bit jealous. She has enough trust in you that she knows she's the only gal you love.
Kiss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
She'd be a bit awkward at first. During her first kiss she would be very worried and on edge. With more time though she'd become better and better. She's much more into short kisses, but is a fan of longer and more passionate ones on occasion as well.
Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
Kanami would most likely try to hide it and wait for her crush to confess, but would probably end up blurting it out at random while blushing a ton.
Marriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
Y e s
However, she is too shy to propose herself. If her S/O takes too long she may try, but it's about a 50-50 shot that she'll be able to go through with it. She'd want a very traditional wedding, with her wearing a beautiful white dress and carrying pink and purple flowers.
Nicknames - What do they call their s/o?
She'd be similar to her master where she'd call her S/O Darling. She isn't exactly one for pet names, but might use them when she's particularly affectionate.
On Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
Kanami gets flustered very easily, so it would be easy to tell that she's in love. She'd be blushing whenever around her crush, spacing out a lot, and covering her face as well. When in a relationship she would be openly affectionate in private, but not as much in private.
PDA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?
She wishes she could be, but when she tries she often gets too embarrassed to do so. The idea of just holding hands in public is enough to make her turn red.
Quirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.
She's a ninja! She'll definitely do the best she can to protect her S/O when they're asleep. Although her strength is... A bit questionable...
Romance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?
She’d buy her S/O gifts and cook for them. She’s a helpless romantic, and would probably take inspiration from her favorite shoujo manga in what to do, as she doesn’t have much experience with relationships.
Support - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?
Yes. She definitely would. She’d cheer them on the entire way through... Just as long as it’s not something she finds to be too stupid... XD
Thrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?
She’d mostly want to be in a certain routine, but wouldn’t mind spicing things up every now and then.
Understanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?
She’s the kinda person to fall for someone only after she’s known them for a while, so she’d be very understanding and know a lot about them. If you ever have a bad day, she’d be there to comfort you.
Value - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?
Her relationship means the world to her. She would risk her life for those she loves. She’d most likely become your personal ninja, so she wouldn’t work for Leazas anymore, but she is happier to be by your side.
Wild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.
Kanami would do her best to train herself to her maximum potential. Even if her S/O loves her regardless of her skills (or lack there of), she wants to be able to protect them no matter what.
XOXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?
Yeah! Not so much in public, but in private this girl is gonna be holding your hand the entire time. Every night she'll make sure to cuddle with you, and will give lots of little kisses as well.
Yearning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?
She'd try and keep herself occupied by doing things. If her partner is at work, she'd text or call them throughout the day to check on how they're doing.
Zeal - Are they willing to go to great lenghts for the relationship? If so, what kind of?
Being a ninja, Kanami is already used to putting herself in danger for others. Because of this, she is willing to do anything for her S/O.
