Some of you, who have been following me for a long time, remember my Mega Man OCs Aiden, Slate, Emma and Yuki…? Well, I have decided to draw them again, but with different outfits and changing Mega Man OCs to human characters (except Yuki) who are having a crazy, magical and paranormal adventure, similar to Gravity Falls and Dead End: Paranormal Park.
I missed drawing my first two OCs (along with Emma and Yuki) back when I started drawing my own art and posted it on my social media. Since I’m not interested in drawing Mega Man characters anymore and left the fandom, I decided to change the descriptions about Aiden, Slate and Emma so that it wouldn’t confuse others and show they are completely different, separate characters in a different world. I change Slate’s name into “Rian”, which I think fits better. (Also, I think Rian is pronounced Ryan.)
I also want to change Yuki’s species into called an Ice Fox as a mythical creature instead called a Spirit. His story will be very different than in Mega Man fanfic, and how he met Aiden and his family.
Yuki’s appearance remains the same, but his character description will change a little. Same with his powers. Yuki doesn’t have the ability to grow plants anymore because he is an Ice Fox so it would make sense. Yuki’s powers are Cryokinesis (controlling snow, ice and frost), healing powers, and the ability to walk on water.
Just want to let you know that Yuki does NOT have telepathy to speak to others in their head anymore in the other world. I thought it would be confusing to other people hearing who Aiden and his siblings are talking to if Yuki is directly talking to them using telepathy. So in the other universe, Yuki CAN talk, having the ability to speak human language.
He also does not age, but that doesn’t mean he’s immortal. His age is unknown, but he is mentally 6 years old. He is a mythical, elemental creature that lives from a different dimension.
I may not draw them often like I used to. But maybe in the future when I have an idea I want to draw, I could show some part of their adventures (and maybe I’ll redraw their parents in the future?). However, I probably won’t. Who knows. I’m not sure yet.
I’m also NOT planning to write a story because now I enjoy drawing more than writing and because it will take so long to finish the story. And I don’t think I would have the time because I’ve been busy with college and other stuff. So it would stress me out and get me exhausted. I moved on not too long ago, so I won’t make any stories to make for my OCs.
Anyway, that’s all I have to say. I’m planning to draw Aiden along with Slate/Rian, Emma and Yuki. ^_^

additional highlights from dark crystal con:
* helena smee said the lamp Mira picks up was suprisingly heavy, but she does feel that it gave the motion more reality and groundedness, because Mira (Helena) reacts to the weight naturally
* kat smee and helena smee are sisters!
* kat smee said she was performing a musician podling during the skeksis dining scenes (in which helena was playing the collector), and it was an incredible sight because since all puppeteers were under the table, in real time no puppeteer could be seen, so she was looking down at the balcony at a bunch of skeksis feasting!  she said it was quite a sight
* helena smee talked about having fun puppeteering SkekLach The Collector because she is a more socially uninhibited skeksis and can make more fun movements
* kat smee said everyone was always excited for days they would puppeteer podlings, as these smaller puppets were easier on the body to puppeteer.  Dzenpo!!!
* brian meehl (dying mystic master 1982 OG) said he had to re-record the audio for the dying UrSu speech many times over many months because of the constant script re-writes.
* Steven Garlick (Jen) and Lisa Maxwell (Kira) spoke of three overall read-throughs that occurred while recording their voiceovers - 1, in their natural english accents, a 2nd, in affected American accents (they were both very young and at the start of their careers, so apparently the american accents weren’t the best), and 3rd, a take that was somewhere in-between - this last one was the take that was kept.
* i mentioned to Tim Rose how much I like when SkekShod turns to tell SkekZok, “you should be emperor”, he turns, not the short way, which would have been away from the camera towards the SkekZok, but the long way, which is towards the camera towards the ritual master.  Tim Rose laughed and said “that would be because I couldn’t see where he was!!!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
these screenshots don’t do it justice - it’s a very funny dramatic turn.   possibly 270 degrees XD
* In a panel, when asked what additional stories he would like to tell in the Dark Crystal Universe, J M Lee said he would like to have a series about Tavra and Onica.   (here, here!)
* the costuming department worked in an odd space that had a disco ball.  eventually they figured out how to turn it on! (intel from the costuming panel)
* in a panel, Neil Sterenberg said he was very excited to say some of Rian’s speeches, because as a puppeteer mainly performing children’s cinema, he has never had an opportunity to say such dramatic speeches, and will never again have such an opportunity (his words), and it was great fun to plan how Rian was going to deliver those lines.

Who’d have thunk? Billions, Showtime’s smart and cynical hit show about the intersecting worlds of NYC’s financial and law enforcement goes out with a happy ending. TV Insider talked to Neil Burger, a producer and director who helmed, among many other episodes, the inaugural episode and the series finale. (He also has a feature film The Marsh King’s Daughter debuting on November 3.)
Before we get deeper into the show, there was an Easter egg towards the end when Wags (David Costabile), loyal lieutenant to hedge fund billionaire Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Damian Lewis), says he’s angling to head to Miami where all the action is now and Axe says they should go together. So will Miami be the first of the proposed upcoming Billions spinoffs? Neil Burger: That one seems to the furthest along, and I think Wags may be going there. But time will tell.
In a show full of schemes and moral relativity, the series ended with the mother-of-all schemes with Axe and his major foe on the show, U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti), joining forces to take down Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) and keep him from becoming the POTUS. Even if the cause was just, the incredibly complex plot to destroy his empire seemed shady at best and at worst, not entirely legal. They always push it right to the edge of legality and maybe it bleeds over a bit to the other side. They’re schemers, super clever, and sometimes it’s a bit legally dubious, but they seem to get the job done.
With the exception of Mike Prince, who in Season 5 bought Axe’s business on the cheap as Axe fled on Europe to escape Chuck’s justice, most of the show’s characters got what they wanted or at least got rich at the end. Was that always planned? This is an ending for real Billions fans and those are the people that [executive producers Brian Koppelman and David Levien] are writing for, that avid fan base. You can hear it in the language of the characters and the [pop culture] references and the density of the dialogue. I think that the end will really appeal to that constituency.
How much did Damian leaving the show in Season 5 — though we later learned he would come back for several episodes in the final season — change the storyline? There was COVID and Damian lost his wife, which was a huge tragedy, and [that] definitely changed the way the story was going to be built, but Brian and David are such adept writers that they took those blows and pivoted and adjusted. This last season might be the best season of all. How did his leaving affect how the Mike Prince character would develop? Mike Prince was already woven into the story before Damian left because a show seven seasons long needed to have another layer and another strong person added. By the way, Corey was an incredible addition and kind of unsung. He’s tremendous. Prince may have been the villain of sorts, but in his last scenes, especially with his lieutenant and old friend Scooter (Daniel Breaker), I actually felt some sympathy when he said to Scooter how they really wanted to do good when they began. It’s hard not to like Corey, which is great for a villain.
Speaking of villains, the show was set up so that Chuck and his team were not always the white hats and Axe and his were not always the black hats. Yes. What did that say about the two parallel and intersecting actions each took in their war against each other and sometime truces? From the outset, Chuck Rhoades was always a complicated guy who needed to prove himself. His wife Wendy Rhoades [Maggie Siff] was working for the enemy, and he didn’t always behave well because of it, to say the least. And Axe? Look, the show is about power and what we have to do to have that power; what’s the line that you will or won’t cross. And for Axe, Chuck is this guy that’s actually trying to ruin your life and take down your power. They were like two animals circling each other and looking to tear into and undercut each other. It was personal, and the ethical lines got very blurry. They both had demons driving them. Definitely. Chuck’s father, for one, led him to an addiction to masochism. He needed to feel pain, and that came from his relationship with his father. Axe had this hunger to prove himself because in his youth, he was ignored and humiliated and not takes taken seriously by people who considered themselves better than him.
The moral in the Prince story seems to be if you’re power hungry, don’t hide behind a front of goodness, but be upfront about who you are and what you want. Do you agree? Well, he’s this incredibly smart guy who knew the pitfalls of the way Axe and other billionaires behave. He has a soul, and he’s going to try to use his billions for good. But underneath that is, again, a real appetite for money and power, and he became delusional. I think the real moral is just to be human with whatever amount of money you have. How important was it to get Chuck and Axe to work together in the end to bring down a common enemy, even it’s obviously, as Chuck tells Axe, a temporary thing? I think the most important thing was to get Chuck and Axe fighting against each other in the show, and then the interesting move was when they would team up together when being allied was in their best interest. They’re never going to be on the same team for very long. In the bigger game, they’ll always be going head-to-head on opposite sides of the fence.
Well, Wendy won’t be caught in the middle anymore between her ex-husband and her employer. She’ll be CEO of a tele-mental health company. She is last seen having dinner with Chuck and their kids. What does that indicate? They find some kind of detente, where they can coexist. Co-parent? Will they be lovers again? I don’t know. They find some kind of peace — but all of them in the show find some kind of peace. Wendy was the fulcrum for so many stories and characters, no? In some ways, she’s the most interesting character. Those guys are ferociously going head-to- head, and she’s between them mediating and moderating. These guys are driven by their appetites, and though they’re complicated characters, she’s quadruply complicated with the pressure within as she tries to motivate both of them and work on their psyches.
So, in the end, Axe’s most loyal employees leave, not just Wendy and probably Wags, but young Rian (Eva Victor) who goes off backpacking around the world, and importantly the extraordinary Taylor (Asia Kate Dillon), who starts their own Taylor Mason foundation to do good, a goal they always had — once they made a billion dollars, of course. Taylor did have noble goals; they’re kind of a person on the spectrum who lacked a kind of emotional response and cut some corners but had an ethical line that was more rigorous than the one Axe had.
I never saw a show that had so many pop culture references: movies, music, sports etc. Some well-known, others more obscure. Why so many in the brilliantly dense dialogue? That’s Brian and David. They’re so erudite and love those Easter eggs, and this whole show has all these different ideas firing off like fireworks all the time. Maybe you get it, and maybe you don’t. If you do, great, and if you don’t, you’re like, these characters are crazy smart. It was an incredible show and a real honor and pleasure to be there at the beginning and help cast it and then direct the finale seven seasons later.

a lil good omens brainrotted update from your mascot
Hello my maggots it's nearly midnight here's how the brainrot's going (spoiler alert, there are no, uh, ripe braincells anymore).
I just spent a rather significant amount of time drawing leaves into my bullet journal (because it's Crowley themed this month).
That whole time I listened to first Crowley's apartment ambience and then to a bunch of Good Omens edits and got extremely emotional about it but in the best way. God I love this show.
Every day (it'S a-GEtTinG clOSeR) I have a stare-off with the Good Omens book that keeps me company on my desk.
It laughs in my face, daring me to read it.
I recall the last time I opened it (to summarise, I read a line about Crowley and burst into tears like the macho guy I am). I refuse.
We are locked in a battle of wills. Who will win, the book or I? I'm torn between wanting to read it so bad and the fear that I will never be emotionally stable again if I do.
Speaking of books, just for vibesies an update on the one I'm writing, I've written 7,200 words in the past six days (when I pulled the WIP out of its musty folder because of that post Neil made).
The page I made in the bullet journal was actually a writing tracker here lemme show y'all because I'm proud of the progress I made:
Tumblr media
[Yes, that is the Good Omens book lurking in the top left, it's never far away. The battle is perpetual.]
Crowley quotesssss all the Crowley quotes I love them so much it's insane.
Also, I'm gonna go get yarn to I can continue my endeavour to learn crocheting to make a Crowley-beanie. @singalongpoppet is my guru and leader in this journey. Not sure if I'll manage it, but a guy can dream. Channeling my non-existent cottagecore era.
I am also considering getting a Plant.
Weirdly enough, this is not entirely brainrot, I was supposed to grow a plant back in January because my word thing of the year was Grow (the burden of prophecy is real).
However, I am dreadful at taking care of them, even succulents. I managed to kill a wild cactus that I brought home from a roadside. It survived several months but in the end being around me was too much for it, poor thing.
I assume there is a bit more to plant-parenting than misting them and screaming at them to GROW BETTER, so any advice, please?
End of update, I have no idea how to write conclusions so have a snapshot of the dynamic of Rian and Avi, the characters in the book I'm writing [spoiler alert: their dynamic is dumpster fire].
Tumblr media
Love you my maggots have a wonderful brainrotted day xxx

Sorry but I ,along with other certain leftist content creators, just can't go after Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Michael Bay, Brian Taylor, Mark Neveldine, Todd Philips, the Postal devs, the Hatred devs or any other cishet white male reactionary creators. We're just too scared of getting attacked by their channer-board fanboys.
That's why we ONLY ever stick to attacking marginalized creators like Rebecca Sugar, ND Stevenson, Dana Terrace, G. Willow Wilson, Jeremy Whitley, Sina Grace, Vira Ayala, David Gaider, Tini Howard, Leah Williams, James Tynion IV, Grant Morrison, ect. Or (if we're extra charitable) innocent, non-bigoted, non-marginalized creators just doing their jobs like Jason Aaron, Dan Slott, Donny Cates, Tom Taylor, Scott Snyder, Joshua Williamson, Greg Weisman, Bryke, Jonathan Hickman, Brian Michael Bendis, Tom King, Neil Druckmann, Rian Johnson and others. It helps us earn more woke brownie points!

11. “I had written into the script that Blanc speaks with a subtle Southern accent,” says Johnson, and after they all finish laughing he explains that Craig researched accents and became attached to historian Shelby Foote’s cadence and drawl. “So it’s kind of that, it’s a little Foghorn Leghorn, and it’s also a little Harlan Pepper which is Christopher Guest’s character in Best in Show, which is funny because Christopher Guest is Jamie Lee Curtis‘ husband.”
19. It was Don Johnson’s idea for his character to hand his empty plate to Marta as if she was the maid during the immigration conversation. It’s a great beat.
25. Many of the family’s first names are lifted from 70s musicians to help Johnson remember them while writing. “Joni is Joni Mitchell, and her ex-husband is Neil, Neil Young. Richard and Linda are Richard and Linda Thompson. Walt and Donna are Walter Becker and Donald Fagen from Steely Dan.”
32. Segan recalls the scene where his character grabs Evans’ upper arm “and I could not find purchase… his arm muscle was much larger than my hand.”
35. That last glimpse of Harlan’s portrait at 2:04:13 is tweaked a little “leaving everything feeling okay.” He’s now smiling.

Regarding that Movie Critic Post, I think Artem would be intrigued, if not a fan of Rian Johnson Irl. Artem watches a lot of movies, and I do think he'd respect directors that try something new in a genre and give something different from the norm. Knives Out is one that I keep coming back to due to how it plays with the whodunnit genre. While I'm on the fence about indie films for him, especially considering that he is a lawyer and might not have time for it, I do think he'd be at least aware of the scene. I also think that he'd maybe take a trip to the theater or two especially when there's a film festival in theaters and check out some of the films that caught his eye. (Also, I just- can we have at least a Mockingbird mention again plz? It was so endearing to his character, and it sucks that it seems like it hasn't been brought back for his SSR cards.)
OOOO TOTALLY AGREE HERE ACTUALLY. gosh i still need to watch knives out, ive heard nothing but good about it!!
and OH! indie! i know going to the film festival in stellis was a canon thing in his first birthday event (LOVED that event i know i said that already but) and had him and rosa absolutely critiquing the hell out of some sci fi indie flick. so i can imagine that's his like, indie film time yknow LMAO it's mockingbird's indie film review week!!
also LOL OK LEGIT. i know i mentioned that his love of movies is sometimes (sometimes.) brought up in the cn server cards, but mockingbird ISNT. its genuinely the worst thing ever. watching like half of the things i loved about his character (mockingbird, grief over neil, etc) just vanish or barely get addressed is agonizing and i mean it
