you hear some rumors about Eddie.

Chapter 4 Eddie x Bookworm!Reader Series Read Ch. 3 -> Here!
Contains: Eddie x Reader, fem!bookworm!reader, mix of fluff and angst, lots of kisses, reader realizes she may not know as much about Eddie as she thinks she does (but don't worry, they're gonna be fine). Warnings: some nasty remarks are made about Eddie’s reputation. Word Count: ~4.6k I feel bad that all this wait has led to an angstier chapter, but I'm hoping the next part will be written sooner than this one was!
“I disagree.”
“Look, The Shining is really good, I like it! I just don’t think it’s his best book.”
“I’d take more stock in your opinion if you weren’t putting It at the top of your list. Great book, but such a terrible ending.”
Eddie holds a hand up like he’s swearing an oath. “I’ll admit that it isn’t a perfect book, but it’s still some of the best writing Stephen King’s ever done.” Then he grimaces. “The notable exception being that…one scene in the sewer, um…I don’t really think it needed to be in there.”
Your nose wrinkles in distaste, knowing exactly which scene he’s referring to. “I read that ABC is making a TV show out of it — I’m sure they’ll cut that part out.”
He laughs. “I think he was doing a lot of coke back then.”
Eddie is playing for you chauffeur today. Once again, after a late night he coaxed you into staying over at his place — but instead of just  dropping you at home the next morning and then leaving, he waited patiently for you in your living room while you got cleaned up and changed, before driving you to work.
“Although, now that I’m thinking about it,” he muses, “maybe The Stand is number one for me.”
You concur. “Oooh, good one!”
“Did you know,” he exclaims, suddenly excited, dark eyes shining, “that Ride the Lightning by Metallica is a reference to a line from The Stand?”
You search for familiarity in the phrase, and don’t find it. “It is?”
“Yeah, there’s a guy on death row who says it when he’s talking about the electric chair. That's why there's a picture of one on the album."
“Huh. Cool.”
Eddie snubs his cigarette out against the library’s exterior brick wall as you fumble with the keys. When the big double-doors are both unlocked, he pulls one open for you, and you kiss him on the cheek as you breeze past. “Thanks. I’ll see you later, okay?” You pause, and reach back to give his hand a final squeeze. “Have a good day!”
Inside, you make it about halfway to the front desk before you realize that the unmistakable sound of Reeboks squeaking against the floor is following you.
You turn around, bewildered and amused. “Can I help you?”
Eddie just shrugs. “This is a public institution. I’m allowed in.”
“I didn’t realize ‘let me drop you off’ meant ‘let me come to work with you.’ Gosh, aren’t you tired of me yet?”
His reply is immediate. “No.”
The incredible thing is, you actually believe him.
You shake your head in awe. “Eddie Munson, you’re really somethin’, you know that?”
He leans in to kiss you one more time, soft and sweet, but you pull away before it can get too heated, keenly aware of the fact that you’re at your place of work, and that making out in full view of the entire — albeit currently empty — library? Probably a bad look.
Just in time, too, as Marissa was apparently not far behind you. You see the doors open again from over Eddie’s shoulder and the older librarian hurries into the building, low heels clacking noisily against the tile. Her face, which is seemingly-always pinched in annoyance, scrunches even further beneath her dark bangs when she realizes you’re not alone.
“Good morning, Marissa,” you greet her politely.
“We’re technically not open yet,” she spits back, staring pointedly at Eddie. “He can’t be in here.”
You open your mouth to reply, but Eddie beats you to it. “My apologies, ma’am. I was just heading back out.” It’s a remarkably respectful response for Eddie, who you’ve learned has a general distaste for authority, and you know that it’s for your sake.
He gives you the tiniest wave as he walks away, and you return it with a smile, though your heart pangs with each step that takes him further away from you.
After clocking in you make your escape to the children’s area. It’s practically its own library, in a way — it takes up the whole back corner of the building and then some. Hundreds of thin, colorful books are jam-packed onto the shelves, which are built at an intentionally low height. The floor is covered in deep green carpeting, in contrast to the elegant, black-and-white tile that lies in the main library; all the flat surfaces are topped with stuffed animals and puppets and other baubles for the kids to admire and play with.
In the center of it all, there’s a wide space that’s been cleared out for Story Times and various other programs, which is headed by the overstuffed armchair that you like to read from. A number of miniature tables and stools line the side of the area, which are dotted with neatly-placed baskets of craft supplies.
You’re pleased with the theme for the day: amongst the books you’ve chosen there are copies of A Bear Called Paddington and Corduroy ready to go. Markers, buttons, googly eyes, and glue have been set out on the tables, so they can make their own little bears for the craft activity. You’ve taken the initiative of cutting out the teddy shapes from heavy cardstock for them already — one less accident with scissors you need to worry about.
You’re nearly finished setting up when someone clears their throat behind you. Startled, you whirl around to see Marissa again.
“Hello,” you greet her in surprise. She usually lets you do your thing on Saturdays without much interruption. Your take in her expression, a little puzzled; the look on her face suddenly makes you feel like you’re in trouble.
She gives you a tight smile, although it doesn’t reach her eyes. “Hello, dear. Everything going okay?”
“Ye-es…” Your answer drags out uncertainly. “Almost ready here.” You gesture unnecessarily around the room, unsure of what she’s getting at.
“Good, good,” she nods distractedly, not bothering to look and verify that you’re actually doing your job. “Listen, when you finish up this morning, come and find me. I want to have a little chat with you, alright?” Seeing the panic split across your face, she quickly adds, “Don’t worry, you’re not in trouble. It’s not work-related.”
Your head cocks to the side curiously, but she spins on her heel and leaves before you can ask her to elaborate.
The rest of the morning passes in a blur, Marissa’s request lurking in the back of your mind all the while, though you try to focus on your reading. She’s not really the warm and fuzzy type — somehow you doubt she’s interested in having a little girl-chat.
Some odd-two hours later, when the last of the kids have scampered away, you head cautiously back to the front desk where Marissa and another young clerk are speaking to one another in low voices.
Your coworker sees you approaching from over Marissa’s shoulder, and gives her a subtle nod, warning the older woman of your presence. A hush falls over their conversation, and you feel a stab of annoyance, knowing intuitively that whatever they were talking about, it certainly had something to do with you.
She’s already blabbing to your coworkers about whatever this is? Gross.
Marissa turns to face you, pretending to look surprised at your approach.
“You wanted to see me?” you ask her pleasantly.
Another one of those tight-lipped smiles. “Yes, why don’t you come back here with me.” She moves towards her office, waving for you to follow along. “A little more private in here,” she stage-whispers.
When you’re alone in the tiny room, she shuts the door behind you, and takes a seat at her desk. You perch awkwardly on one of the folding chairs opposite her, clasping your hands on your lap — you feel a little bit like a wayward student in the principal’s office.
“Is…everything okay?” She said it wasn’t work-related, so you don’t have a clue what’s up. Surely if it was about Eddie being in the building before open, she would have reprimanded you earlier, when you were the only two people there. And that would be considered work-related anyway, wouldn’t it?
Marissa doesn’t answer immediately, so you try to be proactive. “If this is about my friend being here this morning, I’m so sorry about that. I promise it won’t happen again.”
“Not…exactly.” She purses her lips, not giving anything away.
You blink, and try again. “Um, if this is about the oobleck thing again, I promise I was able to get it off the ceiling. You can check, it’s all clean.”
She almost cracks, a rare flash of amusement in her eyes, though it’s snuffed out quickly.
“It’s not that, either. I want to ask you about how things are going, just in general? I know you’re still pretty new to town. Have you been settling in okay these past few months?”
You think of the warm welcome you received from nearly everyone you’ve met. “Yeah, everything’s great. Everyone’s been really nice.”
She nods slowly, and when she speaks again, her tone is off — you can clock the feigned nonchalance right away. “I’ve noticed Eddie Munson has been here quite often this summer.”
You take this as confirmation of what you had already suspected — that Eddie’s frequenting of the library has more to do with you than anything else, and your lips can’t help but turn up into a fond smile.
“He likes to read,” you offer simply.
She’s more direct this time, eyes locking onto yours from behind her thick lenses. “He spends a lot of time talking to you while he’s here.”
Nervous heat starts to creep up your neck and into your cheeks. Is that what this is about? Has the quality of your work declined since Eddie started visiting you here?
You’ve worried about this before. When your friendship began and he started coming in pretty regularly, you made a point that if Eddie was to be there, the distractions had to be kept to a minimum. He was very understanding about it. And in his defense, he did mostly keep out of your way — he sat and read, and chatted with you when you weren’t busy, or if you happened to be hidden away amongst the shelves working, out of Marissa’s sight. He even helped you clean up the mess left behind by your Storytime kids. But you suppose he had been a presence nonetheless.
Waiting for the hammer to fall, you bow your head. Your job is very important to you — as much as you like Eddie, you don’t want to jeopardize your position or your standing with your boss by having her think you’re boy-crazy. Guiltily, your mind scrambles to find the words for an apology, some promise to do better in the future.
But Marissa doesn’t even go there. And what she says instead startles you right out of your self-deprecating spiral.
“Do you know about Eddie Munson?”
Your head pops back up in surprise, and you stare at her blankly, confused. “Know…what about him?”
“Listen, you’re a nice girl,” she simpers. “You’re a stellar employee — I wouldn’t want anyone else leading Family and Youth Services here. I think you have a lot of potential, and I don’t want you to squander it by getting involved with the wrong sort of people.”
Offense rises in your throat like bile. “Excuse me?”
She holds her hands up in defense. “I’m just trying to look out for your best interests, dear,” she insists. “The Munsons have a reputation in this town — that young man especially —”
“Marissa,” your tone is sharp; she’s treading into dangerous territory.
“He’s a criminal,” she warns. “Jim Hopper is far too soft on him. If he actually got in trouble for every law he broke, he’d be sitting in a jail cell right now.”
You gape at her. “What has he done?” you demand.
Marissa sighs, and takes her glasses off, setting them aside while she massages the bridge of her nose tiredly. “I’m sorry to have to tell you this” — you note that she doesn’t really sound sorry at all — “but he is a drug dealer, and a Satanist, amongst other things. He sells dope to kids and he all but started a cult when he was in high school. The oldest senior in Indiana, by the way,” she adds derisively.
You’re speechless.
She pushes on. “His father was a deadbeat, and in all the time that Eddie Munson has been living in Hawkins, all he’s done is prove that the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.”
You bite the inside of your cheek, fuming. Her audacity is too appalling for you to have any real reaction to the accusations; and regardless of whether or not those rumors are true, this certainly doesn’t feel like an appropriate way for you to find out about them.
You take a deep breath, and choose your words carefully. “Respectfully, who I choose to associate with outside of work is no one’s business but my own. If you feel like my relationship with him is infringing upon my performance here, then by all means, tell me where I’m lacking, and I’ll improve. But please do not sit here and try to convince me to shun my friend because —” you falter, trying to keep your anger in check, “because of your personal feelings towards him.”
Because you’re a Grade-A bitch who listens to small town gossip.
Marissa settles back in her seat, face impassive. She purses her lips. “Alright. I see your point. But don’t be upset, dear, I’m really only trying to help you.”
“I appreciate your concern,” you lie through gritted teeth.
“But before you make your mind up about him too quickly,” she adds, examining her fingernails casually, “ask him about Chrissy Cunningham.” Her eyes dart slyly up to yours, searching for any hint of recognition at the name.
There isn’t any — you’ve never heard of this person — but there’s an odd swooping sensation in your stomach at the mention of Eddie possibly being involved with another girl. It makes you feel sort of…ill.
But you won’t let your face betray your surprise. You keep your expression neutral, composed. You manage a final nod at Marissa, and rise to leave. She doesn’t say anything to stop you, so you take that as your cue to exit the office, your mind swirling with unanswered questions.
Tumblr media
Across town, at the Munson trailer, a Dungeons and Dragons session is set to begin any minute. Dustin Henderson has arrived early with snacks, and is making himself all too comfortable on the squashy sofa.
Hellfire Club had still gone on strong three years after Eddie’s miraculous, long-awaited graduation, due to the combined efforts of the small group of freshmen he recruited in his last year. And it will continue to do so even now that they’re gone, thanks to one Erica Sinclair, who is rumored to be the most brutal Dungeons and Dragons player in the entire Midwest…after Eddie, of course.
Despite the fact that he remained in Hawkins, and that Dustin often begged him to join them, Eddie had respectfully bowed out of any and all Hellfire-related activities after graduating, in an effort to display a modicum of maturity. He didn’t want to be that guy hanging around his old high school because he didn’t have anything better to do.
But as a favor to his favorite kid, Eddie’s DMing their summer campaign as a last hurrah. Just Wheeler, Henderson, Sinclair, and a slightly newer addition — Will Byers, who came after his time, but seems a nice enough kid. It gives the boys a chance to all play together one last time before they part ways.
Eddie hopes they manage to stay friends, despite it all.
“Thanks, Henderson, but I think I’ve got a handle on things,” Eddie says sarcastically.
Dustin gives him an annoyingly-superior look. “I’m just saying, Suzie and I have been in a loving relationship for many years now — if you need any dating advice, I’m your guy.”
Eddie rolls his eyes, and crosses his arms. “Dude, she’s spent almost all the time you’ve known her across the country in Mormonland.”
Purely defensive. He hates to admit it, but Dustin’s right. He and Suzie’s relationship has lasted for a far, far longer time than any fling Eddie’s ever had. But that doesn’t mean he’s gonna sit down and let the little twerp talk to him like he knows something about something.
Little — Dustin Henderson is college-bound, heading off to some fancy private school on a merit scholarship, leaving Hawkins and grabbing life by the balls. He might still be a shrimpy dork, but Eddie’s secretly mourning the impending loss of his young friend.
“So,” continues Dustin, chomping on a Twizzler, lounging back against the cushions, “when do I get to meet her?”
Eddie chuckles, yanking the candy bag across the couch towards himself. “Uh, I don’t know. Whenever she wants to, I guess.”
Dustin snickers. “Would you be mad if I just showed up at her job and ambushed her?”
Eddie cuts his eyes over to the younger boy, wry smirk on his lips. “To be honest, I’m kind of surprised you haven’t done that already.”
“I haven’t been reading much this summer,” Dustin admits. “Too busy trying to cram in a bunch of stuff before we all…” he trails off, gaze growing distant.
“Yeah,” Eddie mutters back. He’s been there.
Dustin coughs. “Anyway, you should invite her to meet us at Benny’s after this. You said you’re picking her up from work, right?”
Eddie thinks it over for a moment, then shrugs. “Sure. I’ll ask her.”
The rickety front door swings open, a trio of laughing teenage boys barging in without bothering to knock. Tall, gangling Mike; Lucas, smiling in his letterman jacket; and Will, hanging back shyly, clutching his player’s handbook.
Eddie can’t help but grin. Dustin cocks an eyebrow at them.
“You assholes ready or what?”
Tumblr media
Throughout the entire day, you think about what Marissa told you.
Yes, you’re angry at her for somehow thinking that would be an appropriate conversation for the two of you to have. Yes, you’re upset to hear her say such disparaging things about someone you’ve known to be nothing but sweet and kind. It feels like such an injustice, that Eddie be subjected to such cruel remarks.
But still, there’s a sliver of uncertainty in your heart now, a dark cloud looming in the distance of yours and Eddie’s budding relationship.
When your shift ends, you linger outside by the doors, waiting for Eddie to pick you up. A tiny part of you regrets the decision to let him bring you in to work, but you try and shake the feeling away.
You hate that you’re feeling this way. Internally, you scold yourself for letting Marissa’s words get to you. Why should you listen to what she says, anyway? Don’t you trust that you know him better than she does?
Do you believe Eddie to be a devil-worshipping cult leader? Certainly not. Eddie is a far cry away from what the media makes guys like him out to be. He’s not violent, or practicing any Satanic rituals; he just happens to like scary music and think that fantasy games are cool.
Do you believe Eddie to be a drug dealer? Well, that one, maybe…
Do you believe Eddie to have some sordid past — or, more worryingly, present — with someone named Chrissy Cunningham?
Before you can decide what to think about her, the sound of a wailing guitar drifts through the air, getting louder and louder — finally, a familiar green and white van is turning the corner, Eddie’s dark head, visible through the open windows, bobbing up and down in time with the music.
“Hey!” he shouts with a grin as he approaches the curb, yelling so as to be heard over the noise. With some effort, you smile back. He lowers the tape so it plays at a more bearable volume, as you open the door and climb into the passenger seat.
“Hi,” you greet him.
He leans across the center consol to give you a kiss, one calloused hand cupping your cheek. You can his smell cologne, the sweat beaded on his neck, and a faint smokiness clinging to his curls, you suppose, from his last cigarette; these, combined with how soft and plush his lips feel against yours push the thought of Chrissy Cunningham temporarily from your mind, along with any other thought you may have potentially had in this moment.
Eddie pecks at your lips again and again, then settles back in his seat, letting his hand fall onto your knee. “How was work?”
You squirm uneasily. “It was fine,” you half-lie, not sure what you should tell him.
“Kids behaving?” he asks.
“About as much as I could expect them to,” you sigh.
Eddie gazes at you, his dark eyes curious; you’re normally much more upbeat than this when you see him after a long day. His face brightens when he remembers what he wanted to ask you, thinking that it may cheer you up. “Well, it’s all over with now, right? You’re free. And I had an idea, if you’re up for it.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah,” he explains, “I was thinking, I can take you home, or — if you want — you can come get dinner at Benny’s with me and the guys?” He smiles hopefully. “The others are on their way there already. They’re dorks, but they’re good kids, and Dustin has been bugging me to bring you around.”
You think it over. Admittedly, you’ve been dying to see how Eddie acts around his teenage friends. And maybe this is just what you need to dispel your discomfort; a night out with Eddie and his pals, surrounded by people who know and love him.
Eddie senses your hesitation. “We won’t be out too long,” he reassures you, “because I’m working tonight. But still, no pressure if you’re not up for it.”
He leaves the choice up to you, but he’s giving you the puppy dogs. You nod, giving in. “Okay,” you agree. “Sounds like fun.”
Tumblr media
Being crammed in a diner booth with five other guys isn’t normally your idea of comfortable, but their raucous laughter and boyish antics make it just that — comfortable. You’re pushed up against the wall, with Eddie pressed into your side, one tatted arm slung over your shoulder. Dustin sits opposite you, with Will and Lucas; Mike occupies the last seat next to Eddie.
The affection between the younger boys is tangible; this is a group of friends who have known each other a long, long time. They all talk at once, interrupting and speaking over one another, unless someone shoots a question at you, in which case, Eddie holds up a hand to silence them all, so your response can be heard.
Eddie interjects every so often, arguing playfully and poking fun at them, but he mostly watches with amusement, letting them carry the bulk of the conversation. It’s funny; he has the air of a cool uncle about him, the one who supervises carefully but also lets you sneak a sip from his can of beer when no one’s looking.
More than once, you notice Eddie glancing sidelong at you, watching your reaction to the spectacle before you. He smiles when you catch him, and squeezes your thigh under the table.
“So you woke up early to take her to work, ran D and D all day, and now you’re going to work a late shift? Are you planning on going to sleep on top of the bar?” Dustin is staring at Eddie in disbelief.
Eddie shrugs. “I sleep all day on Sunday.” He suddenly flicks a french fry at Dustin across the table. “What can I say? I’m extremely devoted to all of you,” he says sarcastically.
“One of us, anyway,” snickers Lucas, nodding his head at you.
“And don’t you forget it,” Eddie replies sternly, tightening the arm he has around you, holding you as closely as the cramped space permits. Without an ounce of shame or embarrassment, he leans in and smacks a wet kiss to your forehead.
A chorus of “oooh”s erupts, along with one “gross!” and you can’t stop the happy smile from unfurling across your face.
In this greasy diner booth surrounded by teenage boys, with Eddie so unabashedly declaring his affection for you, the pressure that’s been weighing on your chest since this morning dissipates almost completely.
“Ask him about Chrissy Cunningham.”
Almost.
Tumblr media
The car ride home is quiet. Eddie has foregone his metal tapes, and instead lets the radio softly crackle out a tune from The Cure. Normally he’d switch the station in distaste, but something about it tonight just feels right.
“You’re just like a dream…you’re just like a dream…”
You’re gazing out the window, seemingly lost in thought. He can’t stop sneaking looks at you, at the way your lips are parted, the slight furrow to your brow. He wants to kiss the worry-line away.
“Everything okay?”
Your eyes refocus on him, and you give him a half-smile. “Everything’s okay,” you tell him, looking back down again, twiddling your thumbs.
There’s a hitch in your voice that concerns him. “Tired?” he asks hesitantly, unsure if he should press the issue.
“Yeah, kind of. Things were…a little overwhelming today, I guess.”
Eddie frowns. “They should give you a helper or something. That’s a lot to deal with by yourself, even if it’s only for an hour or two.” He pulls up to the curb in front of your house, engine idling. Then he moves in for another kiss, gentler than any other he’s given you today.
After just a few moments, you’re the one to break it, pulling back ever so slightly and leaving him wanting.
“Goodnight, Eddie,” you whisper, breath ghosting over his lips. You’re already reaching behind you for the door handle.
Eddie's caught off guard by the speed of your goodbye. “Goodnight,” he replies, dazed, sad to see you wrenching the door open so quickly, without the usual lingering kisses and touches he adores.
You hop out and he watches your retreating back as you tread across the sidewalk towards the house. He leans over the center consol, towards the open passenger window. “Sweetheart?” he calls out.
You turn back to face him. “Yeah?”
He makes a come-hither motion with two ringed fingers. “Come here for a second.”
You double back and make your way around the vehicle, so you’re standing on the other side of Eddie’s door. With your arms propped against the sill of his window, you lean against the van, letting it support your weight.
You look at him expectantly, waiting.
He reaches out and touches your face, stroking his thumb across your cheekbone, savoring the feeling of your skin underneath the rough pads of his fingers.
“Thanks for coming with me tonight. I know I sort of sprung it on you,” he says apologetically.
You smile at him, warm though tinged with a sadness he can’t put his finger on. “I had fun. You’re right — they are nice boys.”
Eddie sighs, still tracing your flesh. “Could I trouble you for one more kiss?” he asks quietly, blushing cheeks dimpling. “For the road?”
To his relief, you seem to melt a little, swaying lightly on your feet as you hold onto the sill and oblige him.
Eddie’s other hand molds to the back of your head, cradling it in his palm as he kisses you one last time, urgency pervading all his senses, as though he might not get another.
When he releases you he's breathless, and he rests his forehead against yours for a moment, letting your noses rub together. Finally, he relaxes back in the seat.
“Get some sleep, honey,” he says.

movie night with miles morales :)
you find yourself cuddling into a side of the couch in miles' living room. you have the popcorn, drinks, and the movie is picked out. now the only thing thats missing is...
"miles, what are you doing?" you yell towards the kitchen, reluctant to leave your spot from the couch, it just got warm :(
"i'm coming baby, just making popcorn-" you hear a loud bang come from the kitchen and run over the couch to check on everything.
you did not expect to find a bunch of popcorn on the floor, along with the smell of burnt butter and sugar, little snowflakes of ash raining down all over to complete the scene of disaster you just entered.
"miles morales, what the heck did you do?!" you start murmuring, your brain finally sensing how much cleaning needs to be done as you run for a broom.
as you sweep, you hear him mumble, "i didn't know that bowl was metal..." god, why is this boy like this?
"miles, you're so smart, but you're so dumb," you say as you dump the popcorn burnt offerings in the trash before going to check on him, picking the tiny flakes out of his hair. "are you ok?"
"been better. ...you think we can salvage this movie night?" he's so cute. quickly, you grab a coat (that may or may not be his) and slip on some shoes that wont fall apart, as well as your wallet, which quickly gets slipped into your pocket.
"we can. im going to buy some microwaveable popcorn cause i think if we try to make it from scratch again, one of us will die. find the movie for me?" you blow him a kiss before you run to the cornerstore, leaving him in the kitchen.
when you come back 10 minutes later and 20 dollars poorer (there was a 2L bottle of pop on sale and gummies), you find miles on the couch, in your former spot, cuddled under some blankets and... asleep?
"baby?" calling out softly to him as you slip off your shoes, leaving your jacket on to embrace the warmth a bit longer. you tiptoe towards him, tapping his shoulder as he jolts with a snore. "you okay?"
"yeah, just got a bit bored waiting. n-not in a bad way! just missed you." he fixed his wording (thankfully, you were about to pounce on him), and took the bag of other goodies out of your hand as you walked to put the popcorn into the now-clean kitchen. "you got gummies? you really do love me."
"mm, yeah, im the best." punching in the numbers for the microwave, you left it alone as you walked to the couch, seeing miles had not opened the bag and had been waiting for you. "i got us pop too, you want it now, or later?"
he opened the lid carefully, which was the cue for you to grab two plastic cups and the now popped popcorn. you slid beside him as he wrapped his arm around you. "...im not watching the minions movie with you again."
"why, its a classic!"
"you didn't let me sleep after cause you had a dream you turned into a minion!"

what abt grumpy!rockstar!eddie x sunshine!shy!reader , enemies to lovers shes like his managers daughter so shes always around him & maybe her dad trusts eddie not knowing he hates her , her dad goes on a trip for a meeting so shes alone with just the boys & he says something mean to her in front of everyone so she immediately gets up and leaves but she gets in an accident and eddie is the first one there cuz he actually loves her 🤭🤭
Hi!!!! So, I changed it around a bit, so it wasn’t exactly like Wasted Years! I hope you still like it! Also, Eddie isn't so grumpy, and reader isn't so sunshiney I don't know what happened I'm sorry. AND it's kinda Halloween themed!
Warnings: cussing, everyones in their thirties, kinda doesn't make sense, panic attack, Eddie is mean to reader and cusses at her (once)
Wordcount: 2k
Fake Fangs
“And I expect you to behave. Both of you,” your dad said, eyes narrowed in the way dads do when they see through your bullshit.
The room was tense. There was an invisible yet heated standoff happening that everyone in the room could feel.
“It’s not me you have to worry about. It’s him,” you shot a glare to Eddie who sat smugly on the recliner in your dads home.
You would think that Eddie would have something better to do with his time than to hang out at his manager's house in his free time. You think that maybe he did it just to torture you.
Eddie had everything in the world, yet he still made a point to bother you.
Your father was taking a well deserved vacation. After nearly ten years of putting up with Corroded Coffin’s shenanigans he was going to the beach on a month-long trip with his new girlfriend. You were happy for him and hoping that he would relax for once.
You dad was a hands-on person, never trusting anyone else to assist him with managing the band. Since there was no one else to watch over Corroded Coffin while he was gone, you were his most trusted person.
You had a career of your own, a business to run too. But all of that was being put on the back burner and into the  hands of trusted assistants and colleagues just so you could babysit a band of men.
“I’m serious. All of you need to act your age or I wont go at all,” your dad demanded, arms crossed in a way that told you he meant business.
You didn’t want your dad to miss his vacation. He had worked so hard for so long. He deserved a break.
“We can behave. I promise.” You sighed, cutting your eyes at Eddie across the room. You were silently begging him to agree.
“We’ll behave. Don’t worry,” Eddie reassured him.
Your dad looked between the two of you a few times, knowing that you were lying but not wanting to cancel the trip he had already paid for.
You smiled as he grabbed the handle of his suitcase and wheeled to the door where his girlfriend was already waiting impatiently in the uber. He opened the door and stepped outside, turning to say one last thing to you before he left.
“Their schedule is on the counter. I left a list of numbers to get in touch with me and anyone else you might need while I’m gone. If you have any questions please call-”
“Yeah, yeah. We’ll be fine. Bye!” Eddie cut your dad off as he got up and shut the door in his face.
You turned wide eyed to Eddie, scrambling for the door handle which Eddie blocked with his body.
“You know if you open that door right now he’ll just come back inside,” Eddie said as he shielded the door.
You groaned, knowing he was right and that the timer had officially started for your babysitting duties.
You got along with the band, you really did. You were twenty when your dad started to manage them, around the same age as the rest of them. They were new on the scene and fresh out of Hawkins, Indiana. Your dad built them up to where they are now.
He took on a fatherly role to them over the years. You would think that that would mean you would be close with them but that didn’t happen. The rest of the guys were okay but the thorn in your side was Eddie Munson.
You had a front row seat to watch him go from a cocky twenty something year old to a super cocky and famous thirty something year old.
You were always butting heads over everything. You thought that maybe Eddie Munson lived to spite you. He had his own, very large, home but he never stayed there. Instead he happened to just show up whenever you were at your dads house. You had no clue how many of your visits had been ruined by him.
“Oh, don’t look so upset to have to work with me,” Eddie cooed with an exaggerated fake pout.
“I am not upset. If I was upset that would mean that I care about working with you. And I don’t,” you said as you grabbed the things your dad left for you and went to head out the door. You didn’t care if you were leaving the band alone there. At this point they all had a damn key to your childhood home.
You still remember the horrible feeling when you walked into Eddie reading your diary in your childhood bedroom that your dad refused to pack up for some reason.
The rest of the band was silent, knowing that if they got into the middle of this then it wouldn’t end well for them.
“Whatever you tell yourself to make yourself feel better, sweetheart,” Eddie called after you as you stomped out the door.
Tumblr media
The night was a disaster.
It was a week and a half into your month-long managing gig and it was already falling apart.
You and Eddie had fought for the past two days over what was written down on the schedule your dad had written for you.
You told him that the schedule said they had to arrive at the interview at seven. Eddie said it was at six thirty.
And then that’s when you started arguing.
You never understood why your dad insisted on doing this all on his own. You were so exhausted already.
It didn’t help that it was the weekend before Halloween and instead of celebrating like you wanted to, you were stuck working. You just wanted a relaxing night, maybe watching some Halloween movies and eating too much candy.
It was supposed to be a Halloween themed interview with the band on a live talk show. Just something small to promote their new album. All the guys were dressed in their respective costumes with Eddie dressed as Dracula, fake sharp teeth in his mouth and fake blood dripping down his chin. In the car he decided to take his finger and drip it in the fake blood, dabbing two little dots on your neck to make it look like he bit.
You rolled your eyes and ignored it as he pressed his pinky into your neck, not giving him a reaction.
You thought you were winning the argument over the start time, since you literally had the schedule in hand that your dad had written out himself. Eddie insisted that you call the studio to double check but you decided not to since you knew you were right.
But that all came crashing down when you fought through LA traffic to get to the studio just to find out the interview was really at six thirty and Eddie had missed it.
Everyone was already on edge from listening to you and Eddie argue in the car all the way here. The rest of the band just turned and silently walked away as Eddie glared at you.
“Don’t give me that look,” you snapped at Eddie, the poor assistant that gave you the bad news stared at you in shock with their clipboard held tightly to their chest.
“I wouldn’t have to give you a look if you just knew how to do your fucking job instead of worrying about being right all of the time,” Eddie yelled, voice echoing off the walls.
Everyone bustling around the backstage area stopped and stared for a moment, all eyes pointed towards the poor person that was at the end of Eddie Munson’s wrath.
Your brain short circuited as you stared up at Eddie. He was red and the face and breathing deeply like he was trying to calm himself down.
Not once in the ten years that you knew him had Eddie ever yelled at you or even raised his voice.
You glanced around the room, seeing all of the stares of the people wanting to get a glimpse of the drama.
You couldn’t take it anymore so you ran.
Your arms started to tingle and your breathing became harder as you stumbled out into the daylight, temporarily becoming blinded by the late sun still shining through the clouds.
You held up a hand, shielding your eyes and bumping into someone. They cursed at you but you didn’t stop until you walked around to a secluded side of the building.
The bricks bit into your back as you leaned against them, trying to get a full breath in. You started to panic more, a hand clutched to your throat willing it to let air through.
You felt so stupid to have let Eddie win and embarrass you in front of all of those people. Your dad would be so disappointed in you when he found out what happened. Even though he wrote down the wrong time it was on you to double check that it was right.
And you didn’t do that because you wanted to prove you were right to Eddie.
The world seemed fuzzier than it had been before and you barely noticed you were fighting your hands being pulled away from your face until you felt the calloused fingers gripping them tightly, squeezing until you let go of the death grip you had on your skin.
“Hey. Breathe,” he commanded, firm yet gentle.
“I-I can’t,” you gasped out, unknowingly listening to his command.
“You’re okay,” he hushed you, “you’re breathing now.”
You gasped a breath in, feeling it fill your lungs completely.
You opened your eyes to see Eddie in front of you. He had ditched the fake teeth somewhere between where you got the bad news and here. He still had the blood on his face and chest, eyes still lined with dark eyeshadow.
He looked pretty like this but you would never be the one to tell him that. You were sure he knew by the way both men and women practically swooned when he walked into the building. You also weren’t telling him how you didn’t like the way that made you feel, but learned to swallow it down over the past ten years that you knew him.
He smiled at you, dark eyes bouncing between yours. He slipped the fake teeth back in his mouth, making his smile grow even wider. You knew it was just to make you laugh, just like you did when you first saw him in them earlier today.
“You look ridiculous,” you choked out with a laugh.
“They hurt my mouth,” he mumbled out, his speech affected by the thick plastic.
“Then take them out,” you sighed as you leaned back against the wall again, closing your eyes for a moment.
“Hey,” he said normally, “stay with me.”
“I am. I’m sorry, Eddie. I should have doubled checked instead of insisting on being right and I-”
“It’s not a big deal. People are gonna buy the album whether we go on that stupid talk show or not,” Eddie interrupted you, ever so humble.
“It’s not about that. I let my Dad down,” you argued.
“Listen, I know for a fact that this isn’t enough to let him down. He moved all of the important stuff to when he gets back from his trip so you wouldn’t have to stress,” he told you, news that you weren’t aware of beforehand.
“Really?”
“Really. You’re not supposed to be stressing right now, you’re supposed to be having fun. We all know that you’re doing the work for two people while running your business. And I’m sorry, okay? I’ve been a pain in your ass for the past few years-”
“Ten years, actually,” you interrupted.
“Right. Ten years. So what do you say? We have a night off now and I think there’s some scary movies calling my name..” Eddie trailed off, walking backwards a few steps as he stared at you expectantly.
“You don’t have any cool celebrity parties you wanna go to tonight?” You asked.
“I’d rather spend the night with my victim instead,” Eddie said as he popped the teeth in his mouth and pointed to the fake bites on your neck.
You rolled your eyes and started to walk to the car without him, waiting for him to catch up.
And when you felt his hand slide into yours on the way there you looked up at him to see another wide smile full of fake fangs.

It was 2pm at the moment, and I have been woken from my deep slumber that I promised myself I would get as a reward of my hard work during the academic year.
“Who the fuck wakes up at 2pm on the first day of summer vacation. And who the fuck even woke me up?” I ask myself as I rub my eyes to help clear my obscured vision.
My phone has been ringing for the past eternity, and it’s not shutting up.
I grab my phone to check who’s the asshole who’s been calling ever since the morning, only to find out that it’s my very dear boyfriend, mitsuya.
11 missed calls from taka <3
“oh shit, oh shit” I curse to myself as worry embraces me, spreading through my veins insidiously.
Did he die? Did something happen to him?
I ask myself these questions as I dial his number on my phone.
“pick up you idiot” i whisper to no one in particular.
“Luna, Mana, get the hell away from me.” I hear mitsuya on the other line cough up this sentence.
“Babe?” I ask
“y/n. Where the fu—hell have you been. I was starting to get worried, you idiot!” His voice, scratchy and full of cold, asked through the phone.
“Ahaaha…I have been…asleep…” I muttered shamefully and then added, “Are you okay though, you sound exhausted…and full of cold..”
“That’s the reason I ca—cough—ca—cough—” he stops to take a breath and continues “called. Luna and Mana are not leaving me alone and I dont want to spread my cold to them, the—cough—they’re trying to help me out which is pretty nice but I dont want them getting sick.”
“Okay, I’ll be there in a bit.” I say, getting up from my bed.
“I’ll get you some medicine on the way. Stay put, love you.” I add.
“Mhm, thank you—cough—Genuinely have n—cough—no idea what i’d do with—cough—without you, i love you so much.” he says in a weak, feeble voice.
“Oh shut it, I’m your girlfriend for a reason, dummy.” I replied.
“I’m—cough—I’m trying to be nice—cough—but anyway, b—cough—bye”
“Bye.” I giggle as I end the call. He’s so cute!
———————————————————————
I slowly open the door of Mitsuya’s house, expecting him to be asleep. I truly did not expect to hear yells and giggles coming out from both Mitsuya and his sisters, who are currently seated in the living room.
I tip toe to secretly steal a glance, only to be greeted by the scene of Luna sitting on top of mitsuya, who was laying on the couch, head on the couch’s armrest, and Mana standing beside that armrest, gawking at mitsuya straight in the eyes from above.
I couldn’t help but let out a giggle, which turned all the attention to me, and with that, both Luna and Mana ran straight up to me, hugging my lower torso.
“Y/n! You’re here!” one of the girls yelled in excitement, causing me to grin.
“Indeed I am! How do you girls think Mitsuya’s been feeling?” I ask, playing along with their ‘doctor’ game.
“Well—based on what I have seen, I think he has—uhhhh…a cough!” Luna says hesitantly as Mana nods.
I kneel down as I place the grocery bags I brought on the floor, trying to reach to their level, and say in a surprised manner “Oh, really?! Poor Mitsuya, he must he feeling awful, right? What do you guys recommend him to do?”
“Sleep!” Mana answers and Luna adds, “Yeah, I think he must rest well!”
“Exactly, now why don’t you girls go to your room while I make sure that Nee-san gets the sleep he needs so that we can all play together later?” I offer, excitingly, earning nods and ‘yeah, hurray!’ from one of them as they rush to their rooms.
I stand up again and approach Mitsuya, and Oh God. Exhaustion was painted all over his face, tired eyes begging to sleep and some messy hair.
“How are you feeling, Taka?” I ask softly.
“Take a guess, babe,” He responds sarcastically in a rough, scratched voice.
“Well, based on what your little doctors told me, not very well,” I joke as I bring my hand to his forehead, and as expected, he was burning up.
“Woah, what an absolute genius you are, babe” he coughs.
“Yeah yeah, whatever. I get that all the time, but anyway, do you wanna head to your room? I’ll make you some food before handing you your medicine and then you can head to sleep and I’ll take care of the girls for tonight,”
“Sounds good to me, I think my head is about to explode,” He winces as he tries to get up in a vain attempt.
“Take it easy, Taka, let me help you,”
And with that, I help him up and make sure he walks without stumbling and breaking a bone to his room. I grab some water and place it beside his nightstand.
“You can sleep while I make the food if you want, but it shouldn’t take long,” I mention as I lean in to give him a quick kiss on the cheek.
“Yeah I think I’ll stay awake—b—cough—but you stay away from me- or else you—cough—you’ll catch my cold—“ He coughs again.
“Oh don’t be silly, of course I’ll catch your cold, but you’ll take care of me the next,” I grin as I begin making my way out of his room.
“I don’t know how I ended up being with you, but I’m not complaining,” he faintly mutters to himself, smiling softly at no one in particular.
He does realise that even if you make silly jokes sometimes, he’s indeed the luckiest man on earth to have you beside him.

*Gif not mine credits to the owner*
• Pairing: Jay Halstead x Female!Reader.
• Requested by @stu-machers-girl: Reader had known Jay since she’d first started as a dispatcher for Chicago. It wasn’t long until she’d developed a crush on the older man. She didn’t say anything since she realized he was dating Erin but then she left. She left and Jay got kidnapped; reader heard it over the radio. Hank texted her to say they’d found him and she left her job without saying anything and sped to the hospital. When she saw the blonde detective in the waiting room they got into a fight and reader punched her. She refused to leave the hospital until Jay woke up and laid in bed with him the entire time. When he woke up, in the heat of the moment her lips were on his in a moment.
• Warnings: slight mention of injuries and ‘violence’ (pls bear with me I can’t write fight scene not even for saving my life), cuss words. I don’t know, let me know if there’s anything else <3
• Word count: 8368.
• A/N: so yeah, I got carried away, pls don’t hate me, I think that’s the longest piece I’ve ever written 😭. I changed it up a bit at the end, I hope it’s okay. Please let me know what you think of this? I hope you’ll like it and I already apologize for any grammar error ❤️ comment, like and reblog if you want, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you so much for your constant support, I love you all xx

It was hard.
God, why did being in love have to be so tough?
You thought it’d be easier to control your feelings. You thought you'd be better at pretending everything was fine, pretending your heart didn't actually open into a chasm every time you even heard his name.
You thought it was just a simple crush, a simple infatuation that – knowing it couldn't go any further – it’d soon vanish. But unfortunately it wasn't easy and you soon found yourself in a spiral of suffering and thuds in your stomach. Your mind knew there would never be anything but your heart didn't want to understand it.
Falling in love with Jay wasn't planned, you’d never imagine it and you couldn't even explain how it happened or when. It's those things that just happen without any warning.
You first met Jay after your first shift as a paramedic at Molly's, where your colleagues used to meet after their shifts.
You were sitting at a table with a beer in front of you, you didn't know anyone yet – except for the colleagues you had met during the day who weren't there – and you looked around, sipping the drink from time to time, wondering when you were going to start to feel that place like home.
You moved to Chicago a month prior and it goes without saying you underestimated how difficult it’d be to start a new life in a new city, starting from scratch.
Jay had seen you from afar, looking tired and disoriented and for some reason he had decided to approach you.
When you first saw him you felt the air being cut from your chest, you didn't expect someone – someone so damn beautiful – to approach you.
That stranger you soon discovered was named Jay found himself talking with you, asking you questions about yourself and why he had never seen you before. You explained to him that you had just started working and you found out he had been a detective in the Intelligence unit for about six months.
You were never one to talk to strangers, to tell someone something about your life on the first time you met them, but for some strange reason those bright green eyes and his reassuring smile made you feel at ease, and as the evening wore by, you thanked yourself for not deciding to stay home that night.
Jay was an angel to you, literally.
After that evening he promised you he’d give you a tour of the city, making you visit the most beautiful places and taking you to the best places to eat. You exchanged numbers and he also made you promise you’d call him whenever you felt alone and wanted company.
He also introduced you to the rest of his team, as well as his closest friends, and they were just as kind and welcoming, letting you know you’d meet several times even during work shifts because of criminals and things like that.
Three years have passed since that evening and Jay kept all his promises.
Over time he became your closest friend and you spent time together whenever you both could. You had become his anchor and he had become your safe haven.
You had promised yourself over the time that your friendship would never go any further – also because Jay had never done anything that could’ve made you think otherwise – but the more time you spent together, the more you found yourself falling more and more in love with him.
You’d never tell him about it, even if it meant crying nights where you wanted to do nothing but run away and forget about him. If it was initially bearable and there was your friendship to give you strength, seeing him with another woman broke your heart more than you ever expected.
Erin was a colleague of his and you had seen their love story born right away. You'd heard Jay confide in you about her, asking you for advice on her when they were fighting, and you were there every time listening to him trying not to cry in front of him. There were times when Jay noticed that there was something wrong with you, he knew you by now, but you always managed to disengage the conversation by telling him that you were just tired from work.
You promised yourself you'd always be by his side but seeing him so happy with her… Damn it, it was so hard.
You couldn't take it anymore, you were a walking disaster and all your colleagues and friends saw how you weren't as happy and carefree as you used to be. Sylvie, who was one of your closest friends and who knew all the history with Jay, tried to always be by your side, convincing you to move on, to try to open up your world and that you didn't have to cry for him forever.
She was right, completely right.
Because of this, you had begun to distance yourself from Jay a little bit, making excuses not to go out after work or limiting interactions during the shift to the minimum possible and not speaking to him except from a professional point of view.
This broke your heart, you missed spending time with him, God how you missed him, but more than him you had to love yourself and you knew spending time with him, seeing him with another woman only would made you suffer.
Jay had immediately perceived this change but he couldn't explain why. He had tried so many times to talk to you but you didn't want to tell him what was going on and it made him particularly tense and uncomfortable.
Even Erin had noticed his moodiness and she hated to know it was because of you. She hated you were always there, in front of him, in his head, always on the way, she hated seeing how much he cared about you, she hated the way he dropped everything and ran to you whenever you needed him.
She hated you.
And, dear lord, how much you hated her too. The feelings between you and her were pretty mutual.
You didn't know it, but you had been the cause of many arguments a thousand times between them. Erin wanted him to stay away from you, Jay refused to and always told her if she really wanted him you were part of the deal, take it or leave it.
You were at home one evening, resting on the sofa after a grueling work shift while watching a movie on TV and eating some chips. Sylvie had offered you to go to some bar and get drunk but you declined, not in the mood to socialize or even drink. You just wanted to stay at home and rest, hoping that day would soon be forgotten.
The ringing of your doorbell almost made you jump and you furrowed your eyebrows, not expecting anyone at the time. You placed the bowl of chips on the coffee table in front of the sofa and got up and as you rubbed your hands on your shirt to remove the crumbs from the chips, you went towards the door.
You expected it to be Sylvie but, after looking through the peephole, your heart skipped a beat when you realized it was Jay.
“Oh god,” you muttered to yourself, glancing at your shabby outfit which consisted of a simple pair of midnight blue leggings and a gray t-shirt.
What was he doing there?
“Y/N open the door, I know you're home,” Jay's voice came muffled through the door. For a moment you considered ignoring him until he got tired of it and walked away but you knew that would never happen and he’d keep banging on the doorbell until you opened it.
You took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself down and slow down your racing heartbeat, and opened the door after removing the chain.
Jay looked up at you, his features visibly relaxing as his eyes fell on your figure. Your mouth felt dry as your gaze traveled up and down his body for an instant, as if to accept that he was fine.
“Hi,” you muttered, your voice so thin you were afraid he might not hear you. Your stomach was in a vice and a flock of butterflies had exploded inside you. A wave of heat run through your body and you were sure the flush of your cheeks was comparable to a tomato. “Come in.”
Why were you feeling so damn nervous? He was always Jay, he was always your best friend.
But the best friend I love madly, added your conscience.
Maybe you were nervous because you haven't seen him in two weeks, avoiding him like the plague.
You opened the door and moved to the side, giving him space to enter and as he passed the trail of his scent hit you full in the face making you almost faint.
I can’t do this.
Jay sat on the couch without saying anything, glancing at the TV that was still playing the movie, waiting for you to join him.
“You okay?” you asked as your eyes noticed the way his face was screwed up in a less than happy expression. You tried to avoid him yes, for your own good, but the thought something might’ve happened to him was tormenting you. He sighed deeply, rubbing his hands against his face in frustration before glancing at you.
“I don’t know to be honest,” he replied, but without elaborating further “What about you? Why did you disappear for the last couple of weeks? I texted you I don't know how many times and called you a thousand times. Did I do something wrong?”.
The crack your heart made was so loud you thought even Jay could hear it from where he sat. Your brain stopped working for a moment trying to think of a response to give him that wasn't ‘you know Jay I was avoiding you because I love you and because I hate seeing you with that snake’.
“N-no, of course not Jay how can you think that?” You replied, moving closer to him and taking his hand in yours, instantly feeling a rush of shivers running down your spine. He glanced at your clasped hands and then at you, with an expression you couldn't quite read.
“I… I don't know,” he sighed, his hand caressing the back of your hand, something he didn’t quite realize he was doing “I just… I missed you.”
If your heart was already broken, at this very moment it exploded into a thousand pieces of confetti and colors inside your chest. It was as if you had been punched in the stomach, the breath cut from your lungs. It was so good to hear him say it but so painful at the same time.
You wanted to yell at him to not to say it again, because you knew his ‘I missed you’ wasn't meant in the same way you missed him.
“I missed you too so much Jay,” you almost whispered, smiling at the same time to mask the sudden urge to cry. You let go of his hand, unable to maintain that contact anymore without your stomach doing somersaults. The absence of his warmth was immediately felt but you tried to remain as impassive as possible. “What happened? If you've come here at almost midnight it's because there's something wrong. Do you want to talk to me about it?”.
He nodded feebly, taking his gaze away from you to the ceiling. He was leaning back on the sofa, his head on it as his eyes roamed the white ceiling as if it was the most interesting thing on the planet, his hands folded on his stomach.
“Erin and I broke up.”
You’d imagined anything, a problem at work, maybe a family issue, anything else, but not the words that had just slipped from his mouth.
You couldn't hide the shock as your eyes and mouth opened wide and you even felt guilty for an instant when the only feeling you felt was… Relief, joy. “W-what? How? When? Why?” You bombarded him with questions “I'm sorry Jay,” but you weren't sorry about what had happened. You were sorry because seeing him like that was painful and you would’ve done anything to make him feel better, seeing his beautiful smile on his face.
He brought his eyes from the ceiling to yours, turning his head to the side to look at you. He didn't say anything, he just looked at you. For the second time since he came over, you couldn't read his gaze and you would’ve paid gold to know what he was thinking.
He was looking at you and you felt as if a rope had been placed around your neck and your grip tightened by the way your breath was cut in half. He looked at you with such an intensity as if he wanted to read your soul, analyzing every inch of your face at the same time and in that moment more than ever you wanted to shrink to such a point you’d disappear from his sight.
He looked at you as if he was looking at you for the first time and you felt vulnerable, exposed and while his eyes were chained to yours for an instant you feared he could find out about your feelings for him just by the was his eyes were piercing you.
It was you who looked away first, unable to maintain eye contact anymore and fearing you might say something stupid if you continued to stare at him for another few seconds.
Your heart was pounding so hard you thought it would stop any second as you kept repeating yourself to stay calm. The blush on your cheeks showed no sign of fading and you thanked God that the lights in the living room were off and that there was only the one on the TV which, however, didn't illuminate quite well your face.
The sigh Jay let out made you look up at him, noticing he was still looking at you. But when your eyes ended up on his again, he was the one to look away.
“Don’t need to be sorry,” he said simply and you nodded though he couldn't even see you, “She left.”
For the second time another wave of shock went through you and a thousand questions crossed your mind. You couldn't say you weren't sorry, you would’ve been hypocritical to say otherwise, but you wondered what the hell had happened. How did they go from being the happiest couple alive to her walking away? For what reason did she leave?
It wouldn't have surprised you at all if she was the reason for the breakup, you didn't know her well – you didn't want to – but based on what Jay told you, she had a habit of running away from every fight and problem that came up.
“She always does, doesn’t she? She will definitely come back,” you answered even as you prayed deep inside with every fiber of your being that it wouldn't happen. You knew you were selfish, he was hurting but damn it, you were human too and you couldn't mask what you didn't feel.
He shook his head slightly. “No, I don't think she will,” He lifted his head, sitting up straight and looking at you again. “And for what that matters, I don't even care if she comes back or not,” he paused again, thinking about his words “But, I don't want to talk about it.”
“Yeah sorry,” there was a moment of silence where you looked at each other again and the way he was looking at you was making your stomach twist like a contortionist “But just tell me how you are you feeling Jay, I hate seeing you like this,” and you were sincere, although you didn't like Erin, you wished nothing but happiness for Jay and seeing him like this made you feel as helpless as few other times.
“I'm fine now,” he replied and he really seemed to be sincere “Really, I feel… Relieved. I just needed to be with my best friend now. You made me worry so much you know that?”.
My best friend.
You tried to ignore the thud in your heart. “I'm really sorry Jay. It was such a hectic time between work I didn't have time for anything else. I'm sorry I wasn't around so much.”
He shook his head again, as if to tell you not to worry by smiling weakly and causing a feeling of warmth to spread through your heart. “What matters to me is that you’re okay I… I really missed you.”
-
The next day you went to work with the dark circles under your eyes reaching down to your feet. You only managed to sleep a couple of hours the night before, having spent most of the night talking to Jay.
God how much you loved that man.
When you were with him it was as if the world around you vanished and it didn't matter how long you lost touch or didn't speak to each other, the moment you’d meet again everything was back to the way it was before, as if time had never passed.
You found yourself talking late, losing track of time, laughing and joking as always and it was times like this that reminded you why you were in love with him. Jay didn't stop smiling even for a minute and seeing him so carefree, even if only for a while, was beautiful. He deserved to be happy, always.
You talked and talked and talked until you fell asleep on the sofa in each other's arms. Only when you opened your eyes you realized your head was resting on his chest and his arm was possessively encircling your waist. You stayed paralyzed for an instant, afraid to make any movement that might wake him up.
He must not have noticed it.
You cautiously sat up and then brought your gaze to him, letting your eyes wander over his relaxed features and you let yourself go for a moment to your fantasy. A fantasy where Jay being there next to you was normal, were you could wake up every morning in his arms as he tightly hugged you.
During your work shift you tried to keep your mind busy, focusing only on the calls and the patients you’d be treating.
Two days flew by like this, with Sylvie doing nothing but tease you about Jay after you told her what had happened. You omitted he and Erin had broken up, this wasn't about you and it wasn't your call to tell other people.
However, you hadn't heard from Jay for two days, he didn't text you or even replied to yours. Only then you understood how he must’ve felt when it was you who didn't reply to his text and you promised yourself you’d never do anything like this again.
You were scared to death because he didn't usually disappear like that, so suddenly, and given the nature of his work you couldn't help but imagine that something terrible had happened and the more time passed, the more this thesis was confirmed.
Of course, you knew he couldn't always answer the phone, and there had been other times when, for example, following an undercover operation you didn't hear from him for even a week but in those cases he did everything to warn you first, reassuring you’d see each other as soon as possible.
This time, however, you had a horrible feeling, a premonition that was sadly confirmed by Voight.
You were packing up the ambulance near the end of your shift when your cell phone rang and Sergeant Voight's name appeared on your screen. Your heart instantly skipped a beat and you instantly understood something serious must’ve happened for him to call you.
“Hello? Sarge?” you answered almost immediately.
“Hi kid,” his hoarse voice replied “I hope I’m not disturbing you. It’s about Halstead…”
You closed your eyes as if those words had caused you physical pain, as if someone had hit you in the face. All the colors disappeared from your face and anxiety twisted your stomach.
“What happened? Is he fine? Tell me he's okay please,” you spoke frantically, getting out of the ambulance and closing it “Where is he?”.
You heard Voight sigh on the other end of the phone. “He's fine now, he… He was kidnapped but we found him. We are at Med's. I wanted to tell you before you heard from someone else. I'm sure he'll be happy to see you.”
You couldn't describe the horrible feeling that went through you hearing those words. It was like someone ripped your heart out of your chest clamping your lungs, you stopped breathing for a second and you didn't care how exaggerated that might be, but whatever happened to him you wished it was you on the hospital bed.
“I'll be right there,” you said and closed the call before waiting for Voight’s answer. You didn't even care about warning your boss, much less some of your colleagues watched you ran away like you were nuts, you just wanted to go to him, you just wanted to see him, make sure he was okay.
The car journey to the Med's was one of the most distressing and longest of your life. You nearly collided with other cars several times but at that moment the only thought that crossed your mind was Jay.
What had happened to him? Was it serious? Was he awake?
God please let him be okay.
You tried to swallow the lump in your throat. That wasn't the time to cry, to be weak, you had to be there for Jay.
You thought for a moment what would happen if… God, fuck, you didn't even want to think about it, you couldn't imagine it. You couldn't even think of not having him in your life, you couldn't imagine not being able to see him anymore, getting lost in his eyes, never hearing his laughter or seeing his radiant smile again. You couldn't even think you couldn't hug him when you were sad, stuff yourselves with food watching trash TV until a nervous breakdown.
You didn't even realize you were crying until you got to Med's and parked your car. You quickly dried your tears and ran to the hospital, where, in the waiting room, you found all of his colleagues. And by all of his colleagues, you meant everyone.
Erin Lindsay was there and her disgusted gaze was on you.
“What the hell are you doing here?!” she exclaimed approaching you threateningly. You didn't let yourself be intimidated, on the contrary, the mere tone of her voice made your blood boil in your veins. How dare she talk to you like that?
“Don't you even dare take one more step towards me. Move out to way, I’m here to see Jay,” you spat with venom as the others looked at each other unsure whether to intervene or not.
“Lindsay…” Voight called back, grabbing her arm but she jerked away from his grip, still glaring at you with contempt.
“Turn your ass and get the fuck out of here. I've had enough of you, I'm so tired of always having you around Y/N. Why don't you just understand he doesn't want you?!”.
“You seem to be very familiar with walking away and running away don't you? Isn't that what you always do huh? Avoid problems? You really got some nerve to be here after you left him,” you pointed a finger at her. “I'm not going to stand here and make you yell at me. You really want me to believe you care about him? You wouldn't even be here if he wasn’t kidnapped!”.
“I left him? Is that what he told you?” Erin let out a wry laugh “I can’t believe it. I really wonder what he saw in you. Seriously, look at yourself. You're so pathetic...”
A wave of anger shot through your body and before she could even continue her insults, your fist slammed into her face, causing her to flinch back. Everyone let out a verse of bewilderment, immediately intervening to separate you and Lindsay who were about to kill each other right then and there.
“Y/N! Fuck’s sake! Just calm down! Take it easy, it’s okay,” Kevin dragged you away, shaking you off your shoulders as if to bring you to your senses. You watched her walk away with Voight, one hand on her bleeding nose.
You knew the repercussions there would be but you couldn't care less because it felt so good. You've wanted to do this for so long, for the way she's always treated you, for the contempt she's always shown towards you.
“I'm calm, I'm okay,” you muttered, throwing your hands up in surrender and trying to ignore the pain in the hand you punched her with. “I'm sorry about this but… I have to…”
“I know that's not true,” Kevin chuckled “Go,” he nodded towards Jay's room and without having to repeat it twice you immediately went to him.
You entered the room and closed the door behind you, immediately glancing at the man lying on the bed and the sound of his heartbeats coming from the machine filled the silence.
Your heart broke into a thousand pieces as you saw his battered face, a purple bruise on his cheek, a cut on his eyebrow and and other one on the lower lip which felt deep and quite sore. But despite this he was still the most beautiful man you've ever seen in your life.
You approached him, keeping as quiet as possible in an effort not to wake him up. He almost looked like an angel while he slept, as if nothing could hurt or disturb him at that moment.
You placed a hand on his cheek, caressing it with such delicacy and lightness you were almost uncertain of the contact. Your fingers ran through his hair, a gesture you knew he loved and made him relaxed.
Your eyes traveled down his chest and only then you noticed the white bandage that wrapped around his chest. You tried to keep from crying. You hated it, you hated he was suffering, you hated you weren't there with him to help him. Your heart was tightened even more as you noticed red marks on his wrists, some superficial and some a little deeper, a sign that he had been tied up.
“What have they done to you?” You whispered and your eyes were on his face again, continuing to run your fingers gently through his hair. “I'm so sorry Jay.”
You didn't know exactly what you were apologizing for, you just did.
You stayed next to him for an indefinite amount of time, you didn't look at the time but you understood that hours had passed when the sunlight was replaced by the darkness of the night.
Will tried to convince you to go home and rest and that he’d call you for any news but you refused, you didn't want Jay to wake up alone in that cold hospital room. You knew how much he loathed them and you wanted him to see a friendly face as soon as he opened his eyes.
The attempt of Jay's team was also useless, when they understood you’d never leave until he woke up, they recommended you to update them on any changes.
You spent hours sitting on a chair next to his bed until you too were asleep, your arms resting on Jay's legs.
When he opened his eyes he found himself plunged into darkness if it hadn't been for the dim light from the hospital chandelier. It didn't take him long to remember what had happened, what had led him to be there. He tried to stand up but an excruciating pain shot through his chest, forcing him to lay down again.
This and also the sleeping figure in front of him.
A small smile was born on his swollen lips as he watched you sleep sitting on the chair that seemed anything but comfortable. How long have you been there?
He raised a hand and didn't even have time to rest it on your arm before you snapped sitting, looking around panicked for a moment. Your eyes widened to see Jay in front of you with his eyes finally open and the joy you felt in that moment was like nothing else you've ever felt.
“Jay! Thank God you're awake!” You exclaimed and in the joy of the moment you hugged him, squeezing him harder than you should’ve and letting a small cry of pain escape him “Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you,” you pulled away from him “How are you feeling? Are you okay? Should I call Will?”.
Jay shook his head slightly, a small smile on his lips. “I am fine. Where is the bed remote control? I need to sit up.”
You quickly grabbed the remote from the nightstand next to the bed and handed it to him, watching as the back of the bed lifted and he settled into position so he could finally take a good look at you. “Come here, why are you so far away?” He patted the mattress and you didn't let yourself repeat it twice, sitting next to him.
“Voight called me…” you were the first to speak “But he didn't tell me what happened.”
Jay let out a sigh, flinching as a pain shot through his chest. “It was an undercover mission, nothing too difficult. I was supposed to exchange the money with the drugs and then arrest them. Easy,” he explained, “I don’t know how but someone of them found out I was a cop so they kidnapped me and as you can see they beat me up for the holidays.”
Your eyes filled with tears but that time you couldn't hold them back. You felt a whirlwind of emotions, fear, happiness, anxiety, relief and it was too much for you to hold back and you lowered your gaze to not let him see you.
“Hey, hey, hey,” Jay's voice came as a sweet melody to your ears “Please don't cry Y/N, I don’t like seeing you like this. It's okay now, I'm fine, it's going to take a lot longer for you to get rid of me,” he attempted to reassure you. “Come here darling.” His hands pulled you close as his arms wrapped around you in a warm hug. You hugged him back, being careful not to hurt him further, and let yourself go into a liberating cry, so grateful you still had the opportunity to be able to do this.
His lips kissed your cheek and your heart leapt in your chest at the contact.
God Jay you're killing me.
“I'm so sorry Jay, you shouldn't be the one to comfort me now,” you murmured, pulling away from the hug, still looking down. You grabbed a tissue off the top of the nightstand and wiped away your tears, still shaken from everything that had happened. You felt so selfish at the same time Jay was on a hospital bed and you were the desperate one.
“Y/N don't even say that as a joke. Look at me, please.”
You did as he told you and your eyes met his, triggering a sensation that was like being kicked in the stomach.
“I'm fine, okay? These are just bruises, they hurt but they will go away. I wish I could tell you it's the last time but I can't, it will happen again but I want you to know I’ll always find a way back to you, okay? I won't leave you alone.”
His words were like a snake venom and antidote at the same time.
“Jay… Please…” you whispered, tears still flowing from your eyes “Don't do this to me.”
A confused expression appeared on his face. “What do you mean?”.
You shook your head, as if trying to tell him it didn't mean anything. “I just… I was so scared Jay…I thought about losing you…”
Jay reached for your hand but a frown appeared on his face as he noticed, despite the dim lights, the swelling on it. “Y/N what the hell is this? What happened to you? Why is your hand like this?”.
Shit.
You withdrew your hand, moving your fingers slightly but not showing how sore it was. You had never thrown a punch before and never imagined how painful it was. “Nothing. I closed my hand in the car door on the way here, it's no big deal.”
You knew he’d never buy this excuse but it was worth a try.
“Do you really think I’m that stupid? Tell me the truth. Did someone hurt you?”.
You sighed. “You’ll hate me.”
Jay looked at you like you just sprouted a second head, really confused. “What? Why on earth should I hate you?”.
“I punched Erin,” you blurted out so quickly, wishing he hadn't heard you but when you saw his eyes widen so wide they almost popped out of their socket, you knew he definitely did.
“What? You really did it? Seriously?” He struggled to imagine that you could do something like that, you’d never hurt even a fly. “Why? Why happened?”.
“She started saying bad things to me and I got so mad so I just… Punched her,” you sighed “I didn't even realize it… I know I shouldn't have…”
Jay was silent for a moment, still unable to believe what you had just said. He knew there was bad blood between you and his ex-girlfriend but he never imagined you’d even punch her but he also knew, without any shadow of a doubt, that if you had come this far it was because you had a reason to.
“You hate me now right?”.
He shook his head. “Absolutely not Y/N. I mean, I don't like the idea of you going around punching people but I guess you had your reasons.”
You thought back to Erin's words and that was enough to make you angry again. She deserved it all right and you don't regret it even a bit.
“She's still your ex girlfriend…”
“I know.”
You noticed the way his expression didn't change a bit at the mention of her, he had no reaction. He was more worried about your hand then her. “You don’t care she was here?”.
He remained silent for a moment, observing you for a few moments and then shook his head slightly. “Not one bit, I told I wouldn’t care if she came back. I know it's a bad thing to say, but that's how it is.”
“But you were together until a few days ago how can you not care?” You were so confused.
“I’m the one broke up with her, after all. I think it's normal.”
It wasn’t but still.
It was your turn to widen your eyes and mouth in shock. Did you hear that right?
“What? Really?! I thought she was the one who left you.”
You never expected it, you really thought sue was the one who suddenly left him and not the other way around. You had so many questions to ask him but you didn't know whether to ask him or not, after all it was none of your business.
He nodded. “It wasn't fair to just go on with that relationship, not for me or for her.”
“And why’s that?” you asked, afraid to hear the answer. Your eyes were fixed on him and even with that little light they managed to shine and stand out. Your heart was pounding so hard you thought you were having a heart attack at any moment, the air suddenly became tense and every cell in your body seemed to be on fire.
“I…” he spoke “I have someone else in mind.”
Your pounding heart stopped for an instant and the thump in your stomach was such that you felt like you were about to throw up.
“Oh.”
That was all you could say. You tried to keep your expression neutral as if these short simple words hadn't hit you full in the face like a lorry. Being run over would’ve probably hurt less.
You swallowed the lump in your throat, biting the insides of your cheeks and pressing nails against your palms to avoid crying in front of him again.
You couldn't believe it, or rather, yes, you could believe it but you didn't imagine it would hurt so much. You couldn’t believe it was happening again. It was like Erin all over again.
Oh god no please, I can’t do this.
You wondered who she was. Was she someone you knew? He had never mentioned someone else yet you two talked about everything. Or almost everything.
You looked down rubbing your hands on your pants before standing up and walking over to the nightstand. Jay followed your movements with his eyes, watching you pour water into a glass before drinking it in one gulp.
“Do you want some?” you asked him, but without looking at him and keeping your eyes on the glass
“Yes, thank you,” he replied confused “Y/N… Are you okay?”.
“Sure,” you babbled as you grabbed another glass and poured some water into it. You handed it to him, never meeting his eyes. You couldn't look at him, not at the time. If you had done it you would’ve collapsed and you couldn't in front of him, you didn't want to.
He drank the water and the dryness in his throat finally went away, feeling suddenly better. He continued to look at you, noting how your head was turned towards the window.
“Y/N… Can you look at me please? What’s going on?” he pressed confused on your sudden change of mood.
You turned to him and gave him a quick glance, noticing the empty plastic cup in his hands. “Do you want some more?” You asked feebly as you reached up to him to take your glass but before you could pull away he grabbed your wrists, his grip both firm and delicate at the same time. You jumped, not expecting it, dropping the plastic glass on the floor.
“Look at me,” he urged but you refused, your eyes watering and the lump in your throat increasingly suffocating. A solitary tear slid down your cheek as he placed his thumb and forefinger under your chin, lifting your head and forcing you to look at him.
“Y/N talk to me please,” he whispered and his tone was so soft it was enough to send you over the edge. You lost control and started crying. He pulled you into a hug, wrapping his arms around your body as best as he could.
“No… Just let me go...” you muttered through your tears, trying to escape his grip. You couldn't do this, it was too much for you, too much to bear. You just wanted to run away in that moment, to be away from him.
“Shh, it's okay darling, it's okay. I'm here with you, I'm not going anywhere,” he whispered in your ear as his hand stroked your back in an attempt to cheer you up. But he couldn't do it.
This was all so paradoxical. He was the only person on earth able to understand you, to make you feel better with a single hug and with the mere presence of him and it was paradoxical because, at the same time, he was also the cause of your suffering.
“N-no Jay…” you stammered, pulling away from his embrace “Please let me go. Don't do this to me. Stop doing this to me...”
You stood up and walked away from him, wiping your tears with the backs of your hands. “I can't take it anymore Jay, I can't do this again.”
“Doing what? Y/N please come here. Talk to me,” he begged you.
Is he serious?
You shook your head and wordlessly walked to the door to leave, but when you heard movement behind you you whirled around to see Jay taking off the covers from his body and climbing out of bed.
“What are you doing? No! Get back to bed,” you ordered, your cheeks still wet with tears, running towards him when his feet hit the ground and tried to get up. He grabbed your wrists again, pulling you towards him and placing you between his legs. “Jay…”
“Tell me what's going on and I'll let you go,” his voice was firm and decisive and his tone hinted he’d live up to his words even if it meant trudging all the way out of the hospital.
“Jay for fuck’s sake why can’t you just understand? You really don't see it? You really can’t see I can’t take all of this anymore? You really can't see how much I fucking love you and how much I care about you! I can't do it anymore Jay, I really tried with Erin… I tried to help you, to be supportive… I tried but I can't take it a second time… I can’t…” You blurted out in the heat of the moment but slapped your mouth with your hands as soon as you realized what you had just said. You wished a hole would open in the ground and the earth would swallow you alive.
Jay was looking at you as if he had just seen a ghost and the silence that had invaded the room was almost deafening. You didn't expect an answer, you knew he wouldn't say anything, but God it was so still painful.
“Y/N… I…” he stammered, speechless.
“Jay… Don't worry, seriously,” you interjected trying to keep your composure even if you were feeling a storm inside “I know you don't feel the same and it's fine, I'm sorry for telling you like this…” you croaked, your voice broken by tears “But now it's better if I go... You need to rest.”
The grip around your wrists loosened and you took the opportunity to free yourself away. You took a few steps back, your heart heavy as Jay continued to stare at you petrified.
You were about to leave when, suddenly and against all your expectations, you felt a hand on your arm that made you turn around and a pair of lips pressed against yours.
Your eyes widened in shock as your mind tried to process what was happening. Time seemed to stop and even though his lips were touching yours so lightly it felt like they were just caressing each other, it was as if a storm had hit you full blown.
That kiss was light, sweet, as if he was testing your reaction but when you closed your eyes and returned it, that lightness was immediately replaced by the determination with which his mouth moved against yours.
His hands were on your face as you both let go and for an instant you forgot about everything around you, that you were in a hospital room, that a minute ago you had confessed his love for him. You wanted that kiss for so long. For so long you watched him from a distance and imagined what it would be like to have his lips on yours and now that you were really feeling it, god, it felt like heaven.
No image created in your mind could compare to the flock of butterflies flying in your stomach, to the feeling that kiss made you experience.
It was like thunder hit you, like an explosion of rainbows, like being electrocuted, like being burned alive.
You wanted so badly to find the right words to describe what you felt but you just couldn't.
Jay slid his fingers from your cheeks through your hair, deepening the kiss more and more, forgetting the wound on his lip and all the pains that coursed through his body. Your hands clenched the hospital gown he wore into a fist, being careful not to touch him even though your mind was completely racing.
He was kissing you fervently now, passionately, as if his life depended on it, as if he wanted to suck your soul out of your body. And that was exactly how you felt. If you didn't know him better, you would’ve said he was kissing you as if he too had wanted it for a long time, as if he was trying to vent all the frustration that had accumulated over time.
When you pulled away you were both out of breath like after a marathon. His hands stroked your hair before brushing your cheeks as his thumbs traced imaginary circles on your skin. His nose kept brushing yours and you didn't know how you managed to stand, your legs feeling like jelly.
“You didn't ask me who she is,” he whispered and if he wasn't already hurt you probably would’ve punched him. How could he say such a thing? How could he kiss you and then say that?
“Jay what the fuck...” you tried to walk away but he interrupted you.
“Ask me Y/N. Ask me who’s the person I always have in my mind. Who is the woman I left Erin for.” His eyes kept alternating between yours and your lips trembling and flushed and a little swollen from that impetuous kiss.
“Fuck you! No, I don't want to know! How can you say this!”.
“Shh,” he smiled slightly as his thumb traced the outline of your lips. How could he smile in such a situation and be so heartless? “Please Y/N. Trust me. Ask me.”
“You are such an asshole Jay, I can't believe this…”
“It's you,” he cut you off again and you froze, not believing you heard right.
“W-what?”.
“It’s you. You’re the person who’s constantly on my mind, you are the one who invades my thoughts from the moment I wake up in the morning until I close my eyes at night. I couldn't continue with her, I tried, I tried to ignore it, but you were always there in front of me, always in my head even when you weren't there,” he confessed “When I realized you were the one I want, that it was you who made my heart beat more than anyone else ever did… Fuck, I can’t even talk with you looking at me like this,” he stopped, pressing his fingers on your skin, as if to vent the built up tension.
“I realized it was you when the thought of losing you terrified more than I could even admit, when seeing her didn’t make me turn my stomach or lose my breath like it happen with you,” he paused, taking a small breath, winching at the pain “I didn't know what to do, how to behave with you, I didn't know if you felt the same and I didn't want to risk ruining our friendship and losing you, I preferred a thousand times to have you only as a friend than not to have you at all in life. But, shit, I love you too so much you stupid…” he sighed, his confession heavy in the air and at that point the tears flowed like rivers down your cheeks which he quickly wiped away with his thumbs “It was always you, always and only you and I’m so sorry i realized it so late, I’m so sorry I didn’t realize how you were feeling and made you suffer like that, I will never forgive myself for that. I don't want to see you cry anymore, I don't want to see a single tear come out of these beautiful eyes again, okay? I'm yours Y/N, if you want me I'll be forever and irrevocably yours.”
You didn't know what to say.
You didn't know what to do.
You have never been in such a state of total shock like in that moment.
A thousand questions crossed your mind but you couldn't find an answer to any of them.
“Jay,” you exhaled in frustration, still crying “I don't want to suffer, I don't want to go to sleep crying anymore, I'm so tired of this. I can't… I love you, god, how much I love you. You… You make me lose my mind, my heart goes crazy for you but I also know I don't want to suffer and even if I'm in love I don't want to keep my eyes closed and be naive,” you spoke, your eyes locked in his “You just got out of a relationship and I don't want to think I'm a rebound…”
“But you're not baby, I swear you will never be. You are all I want…” he urged “I left her because I want you Y/N.”
“Jay this doubt won’t make me live peacefully. The moment I’ll be in a relationship with you, I want us to start it without interruption, without risks, without fears, without ghosts of the past,” you retorted “You can’t imagine how many times I wished for this to happen, more than you’ll ever know, but I don’t want it to be like this, not when you got out of a relationship two days ago.”
“Then I'll prove it to you, I promise Y/N. I want you, only you, forever. I understand you're scared and I promise I'll do anything to make this fear go away, I promise I'll do everything in my power to make you happy. I don't want to give up on you, not now that I know you feel the same. God I'd let you get into my head just to show you how much every single one of my thoughts are directed only and solely towards you.” He pulled your hands away from your cheeks just so he could intertwine his fingers with yours, bringing your hands up to your lips and kissing both of them, you eyes piercing your soul with their intensity.
“You’ll be mine, that's a promise.”

it annoys me how much Band Together focused on the aspect of Branch being Treated like a baby as opposed to the actual more serous actions committed by his Brothers.
like Branch's big moment in the film during the argument scene is calling them out on Treating him like a little kid despite him being an adult but it just annoys me because that really isn't the biggest source of Drama in the story.
so it feels weird that the film chose to focus on that I only realised why that scene bothers me so much earlier when I was Reading a fanfic of someone's alternative take on a Bro zone and Branch argument and they had Branch actually call out all the important stuff they did.
so yeah after that it finally hit me why that scene in the film feels like such a let down because Branch doesn't actually bring up any of the actual big issues in Regards to his Bros actions.
he doesn't call them out on leaving him and Grandma not to mention each other over a petty argument he doesn't call them out on never coming back for no real reason even JD is guilty of this to an extent given he clearly came back a number of years later when the Trolls had already left.
he doesn't call them out on the fact that this Resulted in none of them seeing Grandma again before her death and of course him having no one after she died instead he just calls them out on Treating him like a kid in present day 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
its just weird its like if in the first movie Rather than helping the Bergens learn they can be happy Poppy instead helped them get their Taxes in order lol its just choosing the way less serous and meaningful story option to focus on.
and that's why the films family story felt unresolved to me because the big important aspects weren't even acknowledged all that much let alone atoned for and that's kinda the Bare minimum of storytelling in my opinion.
even tho I know people have their Doubts about DreamWorks I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they still have at least a little more exploration of this in the next film or Christmas Special.
as this kinda serous stuff needs to be addressed before we can be expected to believe that Branch would suddenly be okay with giving his Bros another chance imo.
and if not then this kinda bad storytelling needs to be called out more as animated filmmakers have done better in the past and can do better in the future if they actually get genuine constructive feedback.

Hey, would you mind doing Mikey x Fem!reader (I feel we would be blessed with jealous Mikey) with the prompts.
❝  stop—  it’s okay.  they’re not worth your anger.  just kiss me.  ❞
❝ yeah it's time to walk the fuck away ❞
[Take] passionately kiss the other fueled by jealously
[Remind] passionate sex to remind the other who they belong to
Maybe a cop decided to flirt with Mikey's girl at an office party? Whatever you want is fine, and no pressure for any of this! Take care <3
Listen a jealous Mike is my bread and butter. I’m taking a few liberties with the scene cause I feel it’ll work even more.
So let’s goooooooo
Rated Explicit (18+ only)
Tumblr media
Mistake number one was letting this jerk walk you home.
Well about twenty minutes ago he wasn’t a jerk. Twenty minutes ago he was your friend. Twenty minutes ago after a college party had ended, he had offered to walk you home. Which was fine, Mikey would’ve done it but from his last text it appeared they had ran into a scuffle with the local gang.
But your supposed friend thought that it would be a good idea to put the moves on you when you arrived near your apartment he had grabbed your arm. At first you thought he had almost slipped and had simply grabbed you to break his fall but no.
He was pulling you closer to him.
On instinct you had smacked him with your palm straight to his jaw (Leo would be so proud). He’d fallen against the entrance door to your building, which unfortunately prompted you to run to the alley beside it. There was a manhole there, it was a straight shot from there to the Lair, all you had to do was find the hook to open the cover.
“Hey what the hell! What’s your damage?! You’ve been giving me signals all night!” His words were muffled, he was covering his mouth. Whatever damage you had cause you felt proud of it.
“What signals you asshole! I literally told you I have a boyfriend!” You flung a can at him, anything to slow his approach as you looked for the secret hook.
“Oh yeah the mystery man you’ve never even shown me a pic of! You were just playing hard to get! If he was fucking real he-“ A sudden heavy fall made his rant stop.
You watched in shock as he turned around only to be met with a very, very, angry Michelangelo.
“Real enough for you?” Mikey stood, a tight grip on the handles of his nunchuck. There was specks of blood adorning his feature, scrapes and bruises and tears at his clothes. Whatever fight he had just finished off, you could tell the other party was not in good shape.
The jerk was frozen in his spot, eyes wide as he took in the sight before him.
“Wha-what…are you?” He barely breathed out the question, a step taken back to the step Mikey took forward.
“I’m about to become your worst fucking nightmare bro” He charged forward, the end of the nunchuck meeting with other man’s stomach and sending him toppling backwards in pain. He extended the chain and pressed it down onto the man’s neck as a warning.
“I know you dude, I’ve got your name and by that alone I can find you” Mikey spoke slowly, he wanted this fucker to remember everything. “You so much as think about her, I’ll know, I’ll know and I’ll come find you and fix it” He pressed down causing the other to choke and cough. The other man did his best to nod before begging to be released.
Mikey got up and the other man scurried to his feet, he casted a perplexed and fearful look at you and then turned it equally as frightened towards Mikey. “Yeah it’s time to walk the fuck away” Mikey nearly growled. He nodded before running away as fast as his trembling limbs allowed him. Mikey breathed hard, watched him leave before turning and kicking the nearest dumpster so hard he dented it severely. You flinched, words about to exit your mouth before he kicked it again, and again.
“Asshole! I should’ve picked you up like you asked! I should’ve been there! I should’ve but I can’t because I’m- IM THIS!” Whatever had gone down tonight coupled with this incident had sent something in the youngest spiraling to its boiling point.
You moved forward, throwing your arms around him as best as you could.
“Mikey! Listen! It’s okay! He isn’t worth your anger! Just kiss me, baby just kiss me…” You cupped his face, rubbing the angry tears away from his cheeks. His eyes looked like a raging storm, the bluest of skies tinted with red. His chest rose and fell in heavy breaths as he did his best to calm the rage. What had transpired stuck bitterly to the back of his throat and before it could bubble over as it had, he crashed his mouth against yours.
Those sweet kisses of his weren’t here, this was different. This was territorial, a hint of bitterness with unfathomable levels of want that made you deepen the kiss. His nunchucks clattered to the floor, hands finding your waist and pressing you towards him. If he could fuse you to his bones he would, if he could keep you within his veins he would. His tongue found itself in your mouth, it casted a familiar path over the tooth of your mouth before finding your own tongue.
You tasted copper and candy.
God, you wanted him right then and there.
His hands hiked up your skirt, finger dipping beneath your underwear to grab at the plump flesh. With a smooth fluid motion he backed you up against the door to a closed off exit of the building. The metal connecting with your back as he lifted you by your rear.
This. Was. Insane.
Anybody could come down this alley, anybody could see the two of you and yet here you were helping push his shorts past his thighs as he gave your lower lip a bite before kissing it.
It was swift and messy and not the usual song and dance you were accustomed to your usual romps. This was pure instinct, pure need, a fire that had spread and began to burn down common sense.
He found his way into you, felt that familiar warm tightness envelop him. Mikey groaned against your lips and relished the way your eyes fluttered closed. Your arms wrapped around his neck and a sort of debauched exhale only served to fuel his desires.
“You’re mine-“ He muttered it against your jaw. “Say it, angel” He kissed a path towards your ear, the goosebumps spread just as you moaned from the angle he thrusted.
“Oh fuck I am so yours” You could blush later, right now he needed to keep this up because if he did there was no way you were lasting much longer.
He smiled against your ear, a huff and then he was relentlessly thrusting.
A breathless soundless mumble of disjointed words appeared to form but all the sound you could produce were the moans Mikey kept yanking out of you with his hips and words. A little vile part inside his animal brain really hoped the guy would come back and find this scene. Something about it made his soul sing.
A sort of ‘Ha Ha Ha, I get to and you don’t’ childish and egotistical.
But fuck it, he didn’t care.
He was too lost in this familiar swirl of pleasure. His hands gripped your thighs harder, you got tighter and with a soft but demanding “Come for me my pretty little angel doll” he felt you spasm around him and fall down the delightful precipice alongside with him.

no wait i need more bartender!jj right NEOW! who’s making the first move?? when do you finally hook up?? when is the inevitable event of jj jumping the bar to kick some drunk motherfucker out because he won’t leave you alone?? I NEED IT
hmm, i need to think about when the first hook up is— but as for that last part? lord 🙀
🧸ྀི𐙚🤍⋆˙
he’d have watched the entire interaction from the start, and at first — he’s all rolled eyes and tongue in cheek because he thinks you’re entertaining this idiot. it’s only after a little while, he notices your uncomfortable smile and glances to your friend, trying to gain her attention, eyes screaming ‘help’ but the ‘help’ in question is too drunk and unbothered, happily chatting away to the objectively better looking guy friend who came to the bar with the creep. some friend she was.
the guy kept leaning in, and jj was actively avoiding customers to keep an eye on the scene, scrubbing over that same pristine slab of wooden bar to being able to watch over at you— and he’s seething. he had to do something, right? he watches you push him away, but he advances anyway — and jj just can’t help himself, swinging his legs over the bar and bolting over, yanking the man off you and throwing him to the ground with strength he didn’t actually know he fully harboured.
“yeah times up buddy, this— this right here?” jj gestures to you, “is never gonna happen. so go… creep on someone else somewhere far away from here.”
“dude you’re a cockblock.” the guy gets up, and goes to make a shove at jj, who only shoves him back ten times harder, sending him flying. the security guards finally open their eyes and start to approach, and the creep knows he’s outnumbered.
“dont let me see you back here again douchebag, i’ll rip your fuckin’ face off and feed it to you.” jj shoo’s him away before turning back to you, a little breathless and red cheeked. “sorr— yeah that was kinda unprofessional m’sorry bout that, are you okay? did he— was he—”
“i’m okay, thank you jj— he’s been bothering me for ages.” you furrowed your brows gratefully, all cute and helpless. the strong urge to protect you forever bloomed in jj’s chest and he brought his hand up, rubbing at it.
“nah yeah— uh, you’re good. i should probably go back to… yeah.” he juts a thumb in the direction of the bar, walking backwards awkwardly, like the whole ordeal had just caught up with him.
“wait!” you grin, before pulling a biro out of your little shoulder bag and scribbling something down on a napkin. “lemme buy you lunch as a thank you. you’re… a bartender, not a security guard.”
“that i am.” he stares dumbfounded at the floppy yellow napkin with your number scrawled across it now in his hand. “you for real?” there’s a child-like hopeful gleam to his eye that makes you grin, uncomfortable experience only two minutes prior forgotten.
“unless you hate lunch, then you can forget all about this.” you shrug shyly, batting your lashes. how could he say no to that?
he smirks, waving the napkin at you before stuffing it into his pocket. “most important meal of the day.” he starts to walk backwards towards the bar once more, and you beam in relief, watching him head back to do his job.

I hope you all know I cannot for the life of me write fight scenes! OMG this took so long. Anyway....this is continuation of my Giyuu Secret Family AU story (I guess). She/Her Pronouns.
It had been another month since the last encounter with Giyuu’s “no-longer-a-secret” secret family. A bit of normalcy, or what the Hashira consider normal, set back in. That would be if Shinobu and Mitsuri had not just found Tomioka (Y/N) passed out down the road from Butterfly Mansion! They both rushed to her battered and bruised body. Shinobu could feel a full pulse on her neck. (Y/N) was alive, thankfully.
“We should send for Tomioka,” Mitsuri urged, hoisting (Y/N)’s limp body into her arms.
“No…”
“Lady Tomioka, please don’t strain yourself,” Shinobu advised. She ushered the two inside quickly. (Y/N)’s muttering was soon forgotten as the Butterfly Girls were quick to take her off Mitsuri’s hands. Mitsuri stood by, worried, as they started to bandage (Y/N).
Time seemed to move slower as they waited for her to wake up. They were both relieved to see (Y/N) sitting up and eating upon coming back to the room.
“Lady Tomioka! I’m glad you’re okay!” Mitsuri cheered.
“I’m the one that’s grateful you two found me.” She smiled. She gazed down at her bandaged arms. “For a demon so weak it’s  blood demon art was no joke.”
“Both your arms have burns on them.” Shinobu said.
“Yeah, all the poison burned off in the sunrise.” She sighed.
“You defeated it this morning?” Shinobu asked.
(Y/N) smiled sheepishly, “It’s no big deal! I promise! My master says I get a little too carried away sometimes.”
It was an awkward position to be in now that’s the big secret is out. (Y/N) felt she should be more casual but how can one be casual with two Hashira in the room? Especially after they found you passed out. “Thank you, again…”
“It’s nothing Lady Tomioka-“
“(Y/N). It’s fine if you call me (Y/N).”
Shinobu smiled, “It’s nothing (Y/N), you’re very strong. I’ll send for Tomioka-”
“No!” (Y/N) yelled to the shock of both women. “Giyuu will worry himself sick if he sees me like this.”
Shinobu gave a sort of skeptical look, “I know he seems cold and hard to understand but Giyuu is the kindest soul I’ve ever met.”
Neither woman could deny her that. After all, he showed mercy to Kamado and his sister. A kindness they could never.
“You sound so in love,” Mitsuri smiled. “What drew you to Tomioka?”
A deep blush crept across (Y/N)’s face as she remembered their younger years, “Nothing at first, he was always kind to me but I started to notice… he was just like me.”
(Y/N) had been found wandering the forest alone and barefoot as a child. She didn’t remember her village or even her family name. She had a thousand yard stare, an emotional and unsettling demeanor for a child so young. It was clear to the swordsman who had found her that this child was the sole survivor of a demon attack and she would never be the same again.
“Our sword masters were both retired Hashira, we had never met though. He bought me dinner after my first big mission.”
(Y/N) thought that becoming a demon slayer would make life easier. As in being able to fight back but, you can’t fight against the motherly love of your Master’s wife. Even after giving some food to fellow slayers the bag at her side still did a number on her feet and shoulder. The dull ache did take away from the general anxiety that had plagued her since last night. Your crow, Chiyoko, delivered the news that you would be heading to a village down south to aid in their demon crisis. There was no mention of other slayers accompanying you. You were doing this alone.
It’s a daunting task and a heavy burden but, you were a demon slayer nonetheless. A friend of yours offered to come by once they wrapped up their mission in the next village east to yours. Still, that pit of anxiety wouldn’t leave. At least the heavy shifting of the bag from one shoulder to another gave you momentary relief as you came to a fork in the road.
“Good luck.”
You nearly jumped out of your skin! You quickly swung your sword in front of you ready to face the thing before but, you only saw a man. He looked your age, long dark hair tied back, deep blue eyes and a checkered haori. Something your master mentioned crossed your mind.
“Be on the lookout for Urokodaki’s student. He’s a Hashira…”
“Tomioka…Giyuu?” You say hesitantly, lowering your sword.
“Yes?”
Your face flushed a bright red. You were quick to sheath your sword and apologize to him. “I didn’t notice you this whole time! I’m so sorry!”
“No need.” He replied plainly, turning down the path opposite of yours.
“Um- Good luck!” You called back. He didn’t respond or turn around. That was probably for the best. You had embarrassed yourself enough. Chiyoko swooped back down and landed on your shoulder. “Did you hear any of that girl?”
“You’ll be at the village before nightfall!” She chirped.
“Ah, so it was that bad.”
The village was tucked away in the valley and surrounded by a cool mist. The trees swayed almost unnaturally like creeping hands trying to grab you. There had been no birds for a mile now. The forest fell quiet. All life had just stopped, not disappeared, just stopped. Something was there, you could feel it. Entering the village, it was smaller than you thought it would be. There were many people walking around, surely more than a few buildings could hold. The villagers went about their day completely unbothered by your presence. It was often you wouldn’t get recognized or acknowledged but the people here were treating you like you were invisible. Even when they bumped into you, they kept their heads down. The shoddily built houses loomed over you, held together with wooden beams and prayers. Not even the shops had signs hanging above them. You wandered aimlessly around the village or what seemed to remain of it. Just past the main commerce area was the renents of a house. The dirt seemed to be swirled in the giant crater. More were haphazardly littered across down the road towards the forest. You finally found what you thought would be an inn and was met by a young girl with braided pigtails.
“Hello? Do you have a room for the night?” You asked.
She stared at you blankly, examining you. Wordlessly she walked from behind the desk and beckoned you to follow her. The halls were quiet but you felt the peering eyes from behind the closed doors. “It sure is misty outside, is it always like that?”
She stayed silent.
“A-Are your parents not home? Do you run this whole place by yourself?”
“You ask too many questions.” she said plainly. She pulled the door open and ushered you to go inside. “You should leave tomorrow.”
“Why’s that?” you asked.
She sighs with a slight twitch of the eyebrow. She goes to turn back into the hall and you grab onto her arm, “Is there somewhere here you’re afraid of? Someone that can hear you if you say too much?”
She snatched her arm back and hurried back down the hall. You quietly closed the door back and listened for any noise. The inn settled and all was quiet again.
Is it in the Inn? No, there are people here, they are still alive. Is this its resting place during the day? It’s near the destroyed houses…
“Here you go Chiyoko,” you handed her a small note. “Maybe the next village will have something for you to eat. Be back soon.” Watching Chiyoko fly off into the sunset, you resigned yourself to a very eventful night.
Investigating proved to be hellish. No one wanted to talk, not even the children. It was like everyone was trained to be quiet?! Just how strong was this demon? You couldn’t even buy something from the shop without ominous stares and the clerk, all too happy to usher you out. Upon exploring the surrounding forest, the road from the village led deeper out and only welcomed more crater and debris. By the looks of it all, the demon was luring people deeper into the town. At this rate everyone was as good as dead. The forest proved to be just as creepy. The trees stretched abnormally high in the sky, if they had any leaves they would have blocked out the setting sun. The surrounding area lacked any life or color, like after a fire.
Before you could react a jagged tree branch shot out and grabbed your leg. It swung you around violently as she tried to swing your sword at the branch. You were able to slice it and the tree let out a loud hiss and shriveled into a pile of ash. “Show yourself!”
You heard a giggle circle around you. The vine tightened as a figure appeared from the shadows. It had a dark body that stretched as tall as the trees it hid behind. It’s long, spindly arm came out to hold your face, “What a pretty one you are.”
You yanked your head away from its grasp, “I might just let you live if you leave this village now!”
“You little swordsmen don’t scare me.” They laughed. You felt a tug. The ground opened up and the vines started to pull you down into the earth. You thrashed wildly against the vines as they pulled your body underground. The light faded and all you felt was the cold dirt. You could feel the vines pulling you down. You struggled to hold your breath and your sword as the vines began to speed up. You finally caught your breath as you were dropped into an underground cave. You cursed as you coughed up the dirt.
“Another one..” someone whispered. There was a small group of people, dirty and their clothes ripped. They huddled on the other side of the cave. Behind you were decomposing bodies wrapped in vines, their only remains were the black demon slayer uniforms they wore. You stifle a scream and back onto your feet. The people jolted back as you did. The cave wasn’t too big. You were completely surrounded on all sides. The roof was interconnected with vines all converging to the one large hole that the vines came from.
“How long have you all been down here?” You asked.
“A week, at least I think so.” The older man spoke up. “However, that thing has been hunting us for months. It started out slow with someone going missing but then it got stronger.”
“The monster destroyed our homes and took us in our sleep.” A woman said.
So that’s it… You asked, “How often does that hole open up?”
“Every night.” she replied “He brings back whatever he didn’t eat here.”
You drew your sword back, “I don’t have that kind of time.”
You started to hack away at the vines around the body. If he won’t come down here, you will fo to him! You were able to cut one loose and it made the same hissing noise. The vine around the body started to rot and turn to black ash. All that remained were broken bones. The vines still descending from the earth started to retract. You grabbed onto it and wrapped it around your wrist pulling it further and further down. “Come on you coward!”
“Miss please!” a young boy called out. “He’ll eat you!”
“If I don't! He’ll eat all of you!” The vine started to tighten around your wrist but you still kept pulling back. “I will not let this demon terrorize anyone anymore!”
The hole opened up wide and pulled you up through the dirt. Your body was slammed onto the surface. “I hate slayers like yourself, you never know when to lie over and die!”
You got to your feet and took off running towards him, swinging at his arms. The demon’s vines sliced through the air. Trees cracked under the weight of both of your attacks. The tree twisted and bent as it lunged at it and struck the ground. The ground shook and shot up from under you. The trees spiraled around you, crunching at the earth where you stood. You jumped from one to the other and slid down the vines. You could see the demon at the bottom, still attached to the roots. You drew your sword back and swung it towards its head!
The demon let out a wicked cackle as you saw its body reattach itself. “You cannot kill me as easily.”
“I-I…I missed.”
The demon broke out into a fit of laughter, almost doubling over, “You should have stayed down there to die!”
More trees shot into the air and you were quick to slice them all, with a loud hiss. The ash clouded the air and hung heavy in your chest as you landed. The demon stood before you, its feet and arms spread into tree trunks that buried itself into the ground. You coughed, “Spores- really?”
“What will you do, little slayer? I won’t be moved.” he sneered.
Just what the hell does it take to kill this thing! How do you kill a tree!?
The demon swung its arm towards you and knocked you back into another tree. This started to coil around your leg but you quickly cut it off and watched it hiss. The realization set in. The demon had hunched forward with its arms and legs retracting into the ground. Around its body are two lanky trees that twisted and coiled into the air like tentacles. You steadied yourself on the ground in preparation. No matter what happened you knew you couldn’t last until morning, especially since most of these trees seemed to be part of its control and they held up just fine in the sunlight. You couldn’t wait for your friend in the next town over either. These people solely depended on you. You took a deep breath to steady yourself.
“Giving up demon slayer?” he sneered.
I can do this… I can do this!
You pushed yourself off your back foot and took a running start towards the closet decrepit tree and sliced it. Then to another. Another, and another. The demon’s branches swung towards you and coiled around yourself and trees still standing. You raised it towards its body to slice on the lanky tree branches. The other was able to grab you by your leg and while it dragged you towards it you plunged the sword into it. The demon finally let out a loud screech as it turned to reach for you. The incoming vines sliced in two across your blade as you gained distance on the demon still planted firmly in the ground. The demon started to get frantic, sending more vines out to try and slow you down but to no avail. He lost sight of you amongst the tangle of vines. A sharp pain jolted in his lower half as one of his roots was severed from the earth. One after another he tried desperately to call what trees he still controlled to his aid. The one remaining tree was able to coil around your legs and sling you into the air. Before the demon could try to reattach his root your blad came down across its neck. The head rolled a ways away and disappeared into dust, as did the one tree remaining and the roots.
You breathed heavily as adrenaline was still rushing towards you. Your head was ringing, you almost didn’t process the voice calling to you. “(Y/N)! (Y/N) are you okay?!”
Your friend caught you as you almost fell over. “Masato..?”
“Oh (Y/N), I was so worried about you!” She hugged you tightly. “The demon, is it gone?!”
“It is…” You breathed out. “Go alert the villagers please, we need to dig the survivors out.”
“Okay! Please rest!” she said and turned to other slayers you didn’t notice were there either. Out from the sky came a familiar fluttering. Chiyoko nuzzled up against your cheek with worried chirps.
“Did I worry you Chiyoko, I’m sorry. Thank you for coming back for me.”
The village erupted in laughter and cries. So many worried families reunited with each other. The villagers couldn’t thank you enough. They showered you with treats and prayers and gratitude. The little inn girl even thanked you for returning her family. It would all be greater if you were so exhausted. Your feet ached on the path back home. You couldn’t wait to be bandaged up and sleep. Masato and the other slayers said their goodbyes as you came upon the split in the road. She smiled, “Get back home safely.”
“I will.” you sighed “Are you sure you don’t need me to tag along?”
“Nah, we’re meeting up with some others later on. You get home and sleep (Y/N).” Masato stated before going off down the road. You kinda just stood there for a moment, taking everything in. Though your shoulders still felt heavy with tiredness You felt lighter somehow. You had a jumping feeling in the pit of your stomach even though you couldn’t bring your feet to move. You saved those people. They looked so happy because you saved them. It felt nice but heavy. That was the best way to explain it, a heavy feeling you knew was good because it helped others but only you got to shoulder it. It will pass. You would fight another demon. It would come back and then pass again. And maybe, hopefully, the good feeling would last a little more.
Your thoughts left you as you heard someone walk towards you. To your shock it was Tomioka! You looked slightly surprised to see you, or at least a little bit interested. Hard to tell with him. “Are you done with your mission?” he asked.
“Y-Yeah, I am.” You started to walk forward with him. “How was your mission?”
“Fine,” he replied blankly, “Yours?”
“It was rough but I pulled through.” You were very unsure how long you should speak. Tomioka didn’t seem like the type to meander on. It was very awkward.
“You’re fast then.”
“And that was the extent of our conversation all the way back.” (Y/N) smiled.
“That sounds…so…like him,” Shinobu gave a half playful, half pitiful laugh. Even she had some hope that his spouse had a much more romantic meeting with him. It made way too much sense for him to be that awkward.
(Y/N) giggled, “Well I was only a Kanoe at the time, so I guess finishing at the speed of a Hashira was impressive. By the time we made it back I was starving and I came straight here.”
(Y/N) recounted seeing Giyuu talk outside the Butterfly Mansion with Rengoku. As the Flame Hashira walked away Giyuu bluntly asked if she was hungry. He admitted that Urokodaki has told him to look out for her but he had forgotten for two months and felt bad once he finally saw her. She was in such a bad shape that getting a hot meal from Giyuu calmed her nerves. He told her, “Come to me if you have a problem or want to eat again.”
“We became great friends from that point.”
Mitsuri felt her cheeks burn up as she watched (Y/N) smile. “Aw! You two are just too cute!”

Jonah Hauer King fanfiction:
No warnings, just a little fluff, and mentions of burning buildings
Jonah observed as his university campus was completely consumed by flames. The fire was flowing out of the building through several holes, giving the impression that a fire-breathing dragon was inside the house, puffing away vicariously. The roof, doors, and windows were all on fire. Jonah observed numerous firefighters attempting to put out the fire as the flames flared bright red and amber, nearly a livid purple.
In no time, the flames had spread to the rest of the building. It was a great sight for the crowds, (who were kept back by their professors), lined up one behind the other, in the fire assembly area.
But even throughout all this hecticness, there was only one thing playing on his mind, knocking him sick to his stomach- y/n.
Where is she?
Is she okay?
Did she make it out on time?
What about their dogs?
His eyes dart frantically around him, the sounds of his friends talking to him blend in with the background noises and the sound of crackling fire.
"Are you okay man?" Alec asks with a hand on his shoulder?
He was certain that everyone in the room could hear his brain spinning and his heart racing at hundreds of thousands of miles per hour against his chest. It almost sounded like thunder on a stormy night.
And just when he thought his heart would burst, he caught a glimpse of a beautiful girl in the distance—better yet, it was his beautiful girl.
Y/n.
"Y/n" he calls, wided eyed, in a desperate, rushed voice.
"Babygirl, I was so worried about you" pulling her closer with his large hands and bringing her into a tight hug as he reached her from the other side of the building.
Tumblr media
"Yeah?" Looping her arms around his body, letting his hands go under her shirt to rub her hips and bury his face into her neck.
His body vibrates in response to her words on his chest, sending butterflies through his entire body. Fluttering butterflies, that never seem to end.
He leans closer to her to help maintain his balance, as the hairs on his chest spring up and his legs start to give in.
"I'm fine, I promise, I just couldn't leave them behind", looking down at the two dogs that had become the best of friends.
"I know", he smiles as they both lean down to pet their dogs and then turns to face his and her friends, who are all giving each other perplexed looks.
They were unaware of the intimacy between the two.
Sneaking around wasn't their intention- It's simply how events transpired and how the pages of their story turned out.
Jonah and y/n met in their second year of their doctors residency, when they both coincidentally tried to sneak their dogs into the "on call room" instead of leaving them at home, all alone.
Jonah claims that their meeting was fate because, after all, no one would have given the two of them together a second thought given that he was a well-liked and well-known guy, where as Y/N prefers to keep her circle small.
They began by exchanging numbers and pulling the disappearing act on each of their friends on breaks, to hang out with each other and walk their dogs in secret; away from campus grounds so no professors would find out that they'd been sneaking their dogs into their place of education.
Y/n was hesitant at first, given his social status, but slowly started to let him knock her walls down. And with time, she eventually learnt that Jonah was not the ordinary popular guy you'd usually see around. Instead, he was a beautiful, brown headed, friendly giant with a pure heart and a lot of love to give.
They fell for each other hard.
Jonah broke out of his trance when heard and saw a guy with a medical box by his side. The name tag on his uniform, reading 'Captain Bobby Nash'.
"I'm sorry son, we need to get her checked out, she inhaled a lot of smoke"
Jonah looked at her worryingly, looking between her and the paramedics that have just arrived on scene.
"It's okay, don't worry about me.
Here, take our dogs. I think we have more things to worry about" nodding her head a few times towards the professor who's currently got a mixture of relief and rage in his eyes when he notices the two dogs now standing by Jonah's side.
"Shit".
"Let's go now please" Bobby says, admiring the couple.
Their friends watch Jonah as he talks to his professor and y/n disappears once again.
They attempt to listen in but are unable to hear anything, understanding that their friends are likely in serious trouble. However, after a few minutes, when they see Jonah shaking his hand, and the professor leaning down to pat the dogs on the head, they have a gut feeling everything's going to be alright.
Jonah is pulled to the side by dogs, towards the paramedics assessing Y/N.
"Woah buddy, easy there" a guy with a quiff type hair style and birth mark on his forehead says when the dogs come up from behind him, startling him and his friend Eddie, who stands next to him.
The paramedic gives Jonah a blanket, which he wraps around himself and his girlfriend before kissing the top of her head.
"Are you okay baby, everything good?"
"Yes" she turns her neck towards him and smiles.
"Good, we should probably get the dogs checked out too" gently stroking her cheek.
"I've already checked them out, Dexter is fine, but Bella burnt her paw but I've cleaned it and I'll make sure it doesn't get infected"
He murmurs, "My perfect little vet," against her lips and then kisses her.
Tumblr media
"Let's go yeah?"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jonah's hands caresses and squeezes her thighs, smoothing up her sides and her arms. His index finger hooks under her chin as he pulls her impossibly closer. his eyes are locked on hers, and he's staring into her eyes whilst biting his lip.
Her heart flutters and the butterflies in both of their stomachs are constant. Her cheeks are all hot and she's tripping over her words as she tries to focus, but his gorgeous eyes have her hooked, reeling her in and never letting her go.
"I love you" he confesses.
"Hmm?" Tilting her head as the corner of her lips turn upwards and her pupils dilate further.
"I said I love you", kissing her lips.
"I love you too Jonah".
He smiles as he kisses her lips again- harder this time, then her cheek, her other cheek, her forehead, the tip of her nose, and her chin.
He's smiling against her skin as he watches her fall back onto the bed, inside their perfect little beach house they bought last summer, to escape from reality and be eachothers company.
The two dogs wake them up in the morning and nuzzle them to get out of bed whilst they are still tangled in the sheets and entwined in each other's arms.
They might not have a place to finish their degree programme anymore, but their professor assured that a new rule would be in place after they had rebuilt. Because they help with anxiety and despair and promote good health, dogs are permitted on campus.
The end??!!

idk why people think Miguel and Peter are the perfect father figures like they’re the worst ESPECIALLY MIGUEL HES SO VIOLENT
Tumblr media
ionkno ima be honest miguel... Miguel might be my Tio. (not in the 'papi' way, he literally my uncle)
A RANT where I get progressively angrier and more confused at Miguel and Peter B.
[Peter B. Parker Hater Club]
Like....I can't defend him in anyway cause like my GOD, I've seen Peter fighting Green Goblins less violently. Miguel was being brolic as hell on a child.
But I like think that like...day to day.. he isn't as much of a (number of words that might be a bit too vulgar).
I...I don't know how to feel about him. Because on one hand we have the logic hints that he is normal most of the time - based on how people treat him. But we don't see that at all.
We never get to see Miguel OR the Society just exist and I don't think we will in the next movie cause there's no time plot-wise but considering what Miguel truly believes I'm like - maybe you just need to be put on ice for a minute. Look at yourself, you look insane.
I'm HOPING GOD IM HOPING that theres a scene where Miguel gets to Miles and just stops and is holding Miles down and now that Miles can't leave he just begs Miles not to make the same mistake he did, because he believes the even if Miles saves his dad - his dad will die anyway when the universe collapses (like Gabbie did).
just so we can see some range or like self-reflection from him. Because..if he's so guilty about Gabbie I assume he self-reflected a lot so he uhhh needs to do that...again.. right now.
And like....that's not how that works but it's like telling a flat earther that the earth is round. Until they go up and see it, they will have an argument for everything you say.
I trust Spider-people, and I trust them to be able to call out a evil person so I'm like...the Society is run so well, ALL of these spider-people can't be stupid - we know Insomnia Peter, we know Hobie. Hobie was there before Gwen so like...Miguel must've been, not bad enough for him to refuse??? I guess?????
I really have no idea about Miguel's character and it's a long movie so I understand not getting alone time with the Society but I'm like..
At WHAT point does Miguel stop and be like "What the fuck am I doing?" AT WHAT POINT DOES JESS OR PETER?
It's like.. (k now I'm mad) You're an ADULT!! And Miguel yeah I know it's a trauma response but standing there at that platform with dozens of people watching you. How is that not like waking up in a cold sweat!!
And realistically speaking - Miguel what are you gonna do? Forreal what are you gonna do?
Okay, so you lock him up and his dad dies. What about his next canon event. Some canon events you have to be active in. Like what if his canon event is marrying his MJ - what, are you gonna MAKE him marry her. What if his canon event is meeting Dr.Otto. What, you gonna make Miles work for him.
Even if this canon event happens it's not like Miles is gonna co-operate for any others??? So what is the goal?!?!?!
That's why I'm like nah, Miguel cannot be like this all the time. He can not be this blindly stupid because what he's doing is DUMBBBBBB
Im gonna be real even if a Spider-person had caught Miles, Miles would've tried to explain and be like 'please let me go', and because everyone else doesn't have the drive like Miguel, they'd probably be like "Oh shit, ok go on kid."
BUT PETERRRRRRR FUCK THIS DUD OKAY I HAVE A QUESTION
In the scene where he's like 'hold the baby' to Miles and his watch goes off- do you think he was purposely trying to give Miles up? Because that's what I thought. Someone the other day suggested that it was an accident and I was like "???"
Tumblr media
NO MA'AM. No, Ma'am.
I always saw the scene as this:
Peter B. KNOWS Miles isn't gonna take off while holding MayDay. He's not, Miles not going to kidnap a baby.
So Peter is continually pestering Miles to hold MayDay, to get him to stay in while place, while he intentionally alerts them of his location. However, Miles won't take MayDay, and Peter's watch goes off.
Because Miles isn't holding her, his hands are free, and he can escape.
That's what I got from that, no?
Or you mean to tell me Peter's watch went off by itself? Maybe, but then what was with the 'Hold My Baby' shit? Why wouldn't he take 'no' for an answer?
He was using MayDay to trap Miles. Like are you fucking kidding me.
Wow, betraying his trust again AND manipulating him with that 'I had her cause of you!' speech.
Tumblr media
Miguel - He's having a psychotic break, he's full Primal and honestly he needs to go somewhere. Perhaps a small red bubble and just..look at himself in the mirror. Like - fuck are you doing? The most, for no reason. Cut it out!
Peter - Nah, why are you even here? What are you getting out of this, seriously? Gwen HAS to be here, Hobie knows WHY he's here, Pav just GOT here. Why are you here? What do you get out of this? What, do they have free daycare or something at HQ. What even compelled you to be on Miguel's side in the first place. WHY DIDNT YOU FIGHT HIM THE SECOND HE MENTIONED MILES NEGATIVELY
Like Peter doesn't have the trauma Miguel has, he doesn't have the professionalism Jess has, and he doesn't have the brains Hobie does. What is he adding to this society, what is he getting out of it?
He's just THERE. Being a NUISANCE and I MEAN THAT!!!
You can't tell me Lyla be looking at missions and be like 'Oh yeah we need to get Peter B. on the case' NO!
And then to not help Gwen and also try and rat Miles out????????? He should fall into a 'metaphor for capitalism' if u know what i mean
Jess - She's literally doing her job and going home at 5:00:01 and as someone who is anti-work....understood ma'am have a nice day but also maybe reconsider your parenting practices before that baby gets here, just a suggestion.
Rio and Jeff are the only adults with some sense in this movie. Captain Stacy, you're fine but you're on thin fucking ice.
Fuck Peter B. All my Hobies hate Peter B. (not a typo)
And Miguel:
Tumblr media
"I - I can't even with you."

What he couldn’t remember.
While Beacon Hills was dealing with Ghost Riders
Derek was unsuccessfully hunting Kate Argent. He knew a lot was happening in Beacon Hills, and he vaguely remembered stopping by once or twice in the last few months, but he couldn’t remember why.
Derek knew there was something important, it kept nagging at his mind and tugging at his heart, but he couldn’t put his finger on it. He had been working alone for months now. It never really bothered him, except in the last few weeks.
Needing a night off, he stops into a bar. The bartender there has light brown hair, subtly curving lips, mischievous eyes. Shamelessly he starts to flirt with her. “Are you sure we’ve never met? You seem so familiar.” Derek wasn’t lying about this. He just couldn’t remember who she reminded him of.
“Believe me, hot stuff, I’d remember an ass that cute.” Clearly she is into the flirting.
“Derek.”
“Stella.” The name also feels close to something, an important something that he wants to remember. The frustration of it and the loneliness drives him to get closer to Stella. It very easily leads to a one night stand.
Weeks later Derek bolts awake. “Stiles!!” He gasps. Scrambling for his phone he looks for Stiles’ number but it’s not there. He calls Scott. “What. The. Hell! What happened to Stiles?”
“Oh, we were dealing with Ghost Riders. But everything is okay now. Stiles is back, Peter is back…”
“I don’t give a rats ass about Peter!” He hears Peter grumble ‘I heard that’ in the background. “Is Stiles there?” He asked.
“Well, yeah… He’s a little busy.”
“What?”
Peter takes the phone from Scott. “First of all, I can’t believe you forgot your own family! Secondly, while Stiles and Lydia may have saved the day with their undying love for each other, I want it noted that I put my skin on the line, literally. Without me…”
Derek hangs up on his uncle, the words undying love echoing in his head.
Days go by. Derek attends their graduation, politely congratulating all of them, pretending he wasn’t there just for Stiles.
“Derek! I got in. The FBI internship!”
“What? You?”
“Yes, me.”
“That’s… really amazing!” Derek uses this as an excuse to hug Stiles. He loves the responding smile. Stiles runs over to Lydia, and Derek leaves Beacon Hills.
Derek decides to double down on his hunt for Kate. This leads him to the scenes of mass murders of entire packs. Misunderstood as being a suspect, he continues to investigate on his own.
Stiles calls. “Derek. What’s going on?”
“Wish I knew.”
“You’re our prime suspect!”
“Well I didn’t do it. I’m hunting the thing that did.”
“You mean Kate?”
“It’s different. Bigger. Like She’s working with others. The killing, it’s not random anymore. It’s strategic.”
“I need you to keep your head down.”
“I can’t. It’s all pointing back to Beacon Hills.”
“Derek…!” Stiles is frustrated, but he sighs and calms his tone. “What do you want to bet that Scott is still there? Damn it! I told him to get out.”
“I’ll stay in the shadows, but unless we can prove who’s really behind these massacres you can’t prove my innocence.”
“I’ll do what I can.” Stiles hangs up.
Lay low. Huh. Loping back into his wolf form, Derek continues his hunt.
Eventually Stiles coordinates with him on an FBI raid, making sure to showcase the true conspirators behind the string of deaths.
During which one of the hunters aims his gun at Derek and Stiles kicks the gun out of the man’s hands in his naturally uncoordinated reckless way, causing the gun to go off and him to lose a toe.
“Idiot, I can heal, you can’t! What were you thinking?” Derek scolds him as he picks up Stiles in his arms.
“They shot my toe!” He yells, then passes out at the sight of his bloody shoe. “Idiot.” Derek stays with him in the ambulance.
Derek waits for Stiles in the hospital. Peter calls. “What is it?” As he gets the run down, Stiles is signing release forms. Surprisingly he’s not limping. “I’m heading to you now.”
“Ready for more?” Derek asks. They swing by Styles’ house for a change of clothes. “You… have my size here?”
“Yeah. You know, last time you wore that striped thing and you looked ridiculous, so…”
Derek quietly growls at the humiliating memory, but pulls on the black shirt, happy that Stiles thought of him.
They take the jeep and meet up with the pack. The battle against the Annuk’Ite doesn’t last long. In the ensuing days, everyone leaves town, Scott heading up the fight against Monroe.
Autumn was quickly turning to winter.
Kate was gone, so Derek made himself available to be called into help Scott. In the meantime, he tried to content himself that Stiles cared enough to take a bullet for him. He needed to let his feelings go so he could be happy for Stiles and Lydia. It wasn’t easy.
That’s when he came across the old bar. He was going to just drive by, then remembered the cute bartender Stella. Her features, down to the freckles, were quite similar to Stiles. Her comments and jokes were just as quirky as Stiles. Even though Derek didn’t remember Stiles at the time, his heart was looking for him. Derek quickly parks the car and goes in.
Stella turns around, her belly big. “Wondered when you’d be back, hot stuff.”
That night Derek calls Stiles. “I’m going to have a son.”
“Whoa! When did this happen? I mean, congratulations!”
Derek, wanting to explain how he couldn’t remember Stiles and inadvertently looked for a replacement, wanting Stiles to get jealous maybe, not able to deny his own excitement about becoming a father, could only answer “Thanks.”
Stella was sweet, but she didn’t want Derek or Eli. She wanted her freedom, and so was happy to let Derek be the sole parent.
Stiles and the pack come over to see the new baby. “Oh my gosh! He’s so cute!” Lydia gushes.
“He looks so much like you.” Scott says, not knowing what to say.
“Huh.” Stiles glances back at Derek then at Eli. He narrows his eyes.
Sheriff Stalinski looks over his son’s shoulder. “Huh.” The Sheriff looks between his son and Derek then back at Eli. “You’ll have your hands full with this one.”
Derek smiles knowingly and picks up his son adoringly.

Ch. 4: Overtune
Charlie Narrating-
"Once upon a time, there was a glowing city protected by golden gates, known as Heaven. It was ruled by beings of pure light. Angels that worshiped good and shielded all from evil. Lucifer was one of these angels. He was a dreamer with fantastical ideas for all of creation. But he was seen as a troublemaker by the elders of Heaven."
"For they felt his way of thinking was dangerous to the order of their world. So he watched as the angels began to expand the universe in their ways. From the dust of Earth, they created Adam and Lilith."
"Equals as the first of mankind, but despite this, Adam demanded control, and Lilith refused to submit to his will. She fled the Garden. Drawn in by her fierce independence, Lucifer found her and the two rebellious dreamers fell deeply in love."
"Together, they wished to share the magic of free will with humanity, offering the Fruit of Knowledge to Adam's new bride, Eve, who gladly accepted. But this gift came with a curse. For with this single act of disobedience, evil finally found its way into the Earth. With it, a new realm of darkness and sin."
"And the order Heaven worked to maintain was shattered. As punishment for their reckless act, Heaven cast Lucifer and his love into the dark pit he had created, never allowing him to see the good that came from humanity, only the cruel and the wicked."
"But Lilith thrived, empowering demonkind with her voice and her songs. And as the numbers of Hell grew, so did its power.”
“Threatened by this, Heaven made a truly heartless decision. That every year, they would send down an army, an Extermination, to ensure Hell and its sinners could never rise against them. But Lilith's hope remained. And her dream was passed down to their precious daughter, the princess of Hell." As Charlie finishes narrating, she closes a book titled "The Story of Hell" and looks out to Pentagram City.
"Don't worry, Mom. I'lI make you proud." Charlie soberly looks out the window to Pentagram City burning to the ground, just as Yn and Vaggie come into the room.
"Charlie?" Vaggie questioned, looking at Charlie. The key Charlie was holding transforms into KeeKee who scampers away.
"Aah! Oh, shit. Did you hear all that?" Charlie looked down as she turns to Yn and Vaggie in surprise.
"Yeah. We were right there at the door.." Yn points her thumb to the doorway.
"Sorry. I get pretty worked up after an extermination happens. The story helps..." Charlie smiled.
"Don't worry. I enjoy your theatrics." Vaggie chuckles.
"Are you okay?" Yn and Vaggie sit down with Charlie
"I'm fine. Just... thinking, ya' know? Family stuff." Charlie sighs, Yn could feel how sad her girlfriend was.
"Did you hear anything from Lilith?" Charlie shakes her head in dismay. Yn sighs, Vaggie was rubbing Charlie's back.
"Oof... how long has it been now?" Vaggie questioned.
"Not that long, only... seven... years, off doing something important, I'm sure. But this kingdom was something she really cared about. Something I care about." Charlie looked at the city.
"well, at least you're not alone." Vaggie smirked.
"Yeah, even if Hell froze over, you can be sure that me and Vaggie will be by your side." Yn added too.
"I just hope that what I'm trying to do here will work." Charlie said with a small smile on her face.
"It will. We have faith in you." Keekee then leaps into Charlie's arms, Yn and Vaggie smiled as they stand up.
"Alright, come on now. Alastor says he has something interesting to show us." Yn said as she and Vaggie head to the door. As they leave, a loud bell rings throughout the city, and Charlie turns to the Bell Tower at Heaven Embassy. She looks on with sadness, knowing that it's another year before the Extermination comes again before she leaves.
-Time Skip-
In the Commercial-
The scene turns static before it fixes itself to reveal a sinner stabbing another demon to death with a knife before Alastor caught their attention.
"Well, hello there you wayward sinner. Do you like blood violence and depravity of a sexual nature? Of course you do. That's why you're in hell." As the camera rolls, scenes switches from the front of the Hazbin Hotel, to Charlie on camera and she waves at it.
"But what would you say if I told you there was a place to stay that had none of that? Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel, a misguided path to redemption. Founded five days ago by Lucifer's delusional daughter, Charlotte Morningstar! Come place your fate in her inexperienced hands as she tries to work through her mommy issues by fixing you." Angel Dust omes into view, putting two-fingers over the head prank behind her.
"Here we offer fun things such as somewhat functional staff and 24-hour pest control. Custom rooms. and just look at this tacky parlor, enjoy riveting conversation with our singular resident and our residential Overlord. Wow." The camera to the bartender, Husk, who was clearly drunk, passing out on the ground as Niffty, the hotel maid, tries to stab and chase after a bug, and then to Angel Dust, with a support beam falling close to KeeKee, scaring the demon cat before running off, and Angel Dust flipping Alastor off who films Yn who smiles and waves at him.
"All this and more at the Hazbin Hotel. Your last desperate attempt at salvation starts here." Then the poor drawing of the hotel before the commercial ends.
Back to the Hazbin Hotel-
Alastor turns off the television.
"So what do you think?" Alastor crossed his arms. On the couch, Yn, Charlie and Vaggie were surprised of the commercial being poorly misleading and very offensive to their nature, that Vaggie throws a fit at Alastor.
"I'm sorry. What the fuck was that?" Vaggie cursed at him.
"That was... interesting for sure Alastor." Yn compliment his work.
"Uh, Yeah. One note, Alastor, I mean, first off, thank you so much for making this seriously amazing, but um, maybe the tone is a bit off, We want people to want to come here. This makes it look, um." Charlie thought of the nicest thing to say.
"Bad. The word you're looking for is bad." Vaggie bluntly replied.
"It wasn't that bad, it could have been worse." Yn added.
"That was as bad as it can get." Vaggie stated.
Alastor gave a slightly annoyed face, "Funny. I was going for hilarious." He smiled.
"It didn't explain anything about how we're trying to save demons from extermination, which is the whole fucking point." Vaggie grumbled.
"Okay, Vaggie does have a point Alastor. The commercial was supposed to let sinners know we are trying to help them." Yn stated.
"Well, Darling, you know I haven't been active in hell for some time and everyone remembers me from my radio show, the proper medium to express oneself. But you insisted on this noisy picture box advertisement." He taps the Television twice with his microphone cane.
"So I had a little fun with it." Alastor said passing his cane to his other hand.
"Oh fun? You had a little fun with it?" Vaggie stands up on the couch.
"Well, this is not what we want to represent us. When you showed up here a week ago, you told us you would help run this hotel. Instead, you're mocking us. Nobody's gonna wanna come to a place that a powerful overlord like you thinks is a waste of time." Angel Dust then raises his hand from the couch, catching everyone's attention. Holding a bottle of whiskey in his hand.
"Yes angel?" Yn sighed.
"If'n ya filming a commercial, can I suggest you take better advantage of the talented celebrity you have right here?" Angel Dust takes a bottle with one arm before pointing all three arms at himself, but Vaggie doesn't like it.
"Angel, you're a porn star." Vaggie noted.
"A famous porn star. I'll have the horniest sinners knocking these walls down to get in." Angel smirked.
"We are not filming a porn as a commercial." Vaggie explained.
"Why not? Sex sells don't it? I swear if you film me going at it with either Yn or Mr. fancy talk creepy voice here, you'd be rolling in participants willing to stay at this tacky hotel." As he was explaining, Alastor appears right besides the couch next to Angel Dust and laughs with amusement.
"Ha ha. Never going to happen." Alastor stated with a creepy smile.
"Yeah, I'm not going to film a porn." Yn stated.
"Oh! What about a video of both Yn and the creepy going at it?" Hearing that both Vaggie and Alastor twitch, both for completely other reasons.
"No." Yn said bluntly with a small blush to Angel.
"Angel, I appreciate you wanting to use your special skills to, um, attract folks to the hotel, but I really don't want to exploit you... in that way." Charlie noted.
"Oh, please, baby. This body was made to be exploited. I got the arms, I got the stamina, I got the legs. I got the lung capacity." He laughs.
"Oh, I got the legs. The gag reflex, the holes, the chest fluff." Charlie chuckles nervously until Charlie's phone rings from Lucifer calling her.
"hold that thought? I'll be right back."
"I could keep going all night, baby." "Please don't Angel." While Angel drinks her beer, Charlie breathes nervously and answers the call.
"Hello? Dad?" As Charlie take the phone call, the scene switches to Vaggie, Angel, and Alastor.
"Hey, I have a question. If Yn and freaky face over there are so powerful, then why can't they just make people stay here?"
"Oh, trust me," Alastor smiles in a mischievously creepy look with dark magic.
"We can." Yn smirks with deadly glowing eyes and dark magic surrounding her.
"Why do you think I'm here?" Husker spoke from the bar as he puts his bottle down.
The camera moves to Husk at the bar.
"You actually think I'd be cleaning bottles and listening to you fucks bitch and moan all the time if he wasn't forcing me?" Husk grumbled, "Puff is the exception..." He gestured to Yn.
As Husk cleans a bottle, Niffty pops up from behind the counter with a hand raised.
"I like being forced." Niffty smiled.
"Keep that to yourself, Nif." Husk grumbled.
"What? You don't love being here with me, Whiskers?" Angel Dust pouted.
"Call me Whiskers again and I'll jam that bottle down your throat." Husk threatened, holding the bottle.
"Kinky. Come on, keep talking dirty." Angel Dust arches his back in a seductive way as Yn giggles quietly.
Vaggie sighs, "Angel. Let Husk do his job. And, no, we can't force sinners to stay here. They need to choose to." Vaggie crossed her arms.
"I'm choosing to be here and I think it's all stupid. We're in hell, toots. That's kind of the end of the road, ain' it?" Angel Dust smirks.
"Well, Maybe it doesn't have to be. Just because nobody has made it out before doesn't mean it's not possible." Yn states as she plays with Angel Dust hair.
Angel Dust places a hand on Yn's shoulder, giving her a deadpan expression while the latter makes the same one.
"Hey, whatever means I can keep crashing here rent-free. Crack is expensive." Angel Dust snickered.
"You don't have to be blunt about that." Yn said pushing Angel back down on the couch.
The scene comes back to Charlie, and after the phone call, she seemed really happy with the news her father brought to her.
"Yeah, I can totally, yeah. I'll head over there right away. Okay?" Charlie hangs up the phone and gasps in excitement.
"Yes..YES!" Charlie chuckles in excitement when she hears about the news until she calls Yn and Vaggie in gibberish, waving very franticly that freaks Yn and Vaggie out, "Vaggie! Yn! Holy, shit!"
"Ah! What?" "Whoa!" Vaggie and Yn turned to see Charlie.
Charlie whiel biting her lip with excitement waves them to 'Get over here!' for some exciting news.
Yn and Vaggie sigh happily and come to Charlie while she is jumping around in a very happy mode. As Angel Dust drinks in the background, Yn and Vaggie meet Charlie behind.
"So, what's going on?" Vaggie asked. Charlie breathes in and out to calm her nerves so she can explain, but she was explaining so fast due to her excitement. Yn pats Charlie's back, trying to calm the poor girl down.
"My dad just called, he said that the leader of the Angel Army wants to meet. He asked if I could go instead." Charlie was hyperventilating, grabbing Yn and Vaggie to get up close. Yn and Vaggie, however, were confused since the Angels were already done with their extermination and won't be back for another year.
"The leader of the Angel Army wants to meet?" Yn asked.
"But...but, the extermination just happened. What could they want this soon after..." Vaggie started. As Vaggie went on, Charlie was in the mood to get her hotel project to work, and remained hopeful that she starts singing.
Song starts here-
"~I can do this! Somehow, I know it! I'll get Heaven behind my plans!~"
"~Charlie, hold on...~"
"~There's just no way I could blow it. Not this once-in-a-lifetime chance!~"
"~It's just a meeting.~"
"~To change their minds, And touch their hearts, Or... whatever angels have!"
"~This could be bad...~"
"~Most likely will be bad.~"
"~Cheer up, girls! This could be swell! Something tells me that today will be a happy day in Hell!~" Charlie grabs Vaggie and Yn's hands and spins them around. She lets go of them and runs off.
"Okay, but just don't... sing to them."
"Charlie?" Just before Vaggie could warn her, Angel Dust, Alice, Niffty, and Keekee were already at the window where they can see Charlie singing out in the destroyed Pentagram City, as Angel Dust turns back to Yn and Vaggie still drinking from a bottle.
"That bitch is halfway down the street!"
"Is she?"
"Oh, she's dancin'!"
"Ugh, no..."
"Charlie! Come back here!" Yn runs after Charlie.
Pentagram City-
Charlie makes her way down the street, oblivious to the destruction and bodies of dead demons everywhere as she continues to sing her song.
"~There's a warm, fuzzy feeling. That wafts through the air. Every street so revealing: It's hard not to stare!~" Charlie comes to a a window of a sex dungeon where a Hellhound is humping against an Imp wearing a sadomasicism mask. They notice her, and Charlie awkwardly fees before continuing to sing.
"~It's a realm so appealing it beats anywhere. If you don't mind the smell...~" Charlie accidentally steps on a dead shark demon that was releasing a very bad smelly fume into her nose. She cautiously avoids the corpse and presses on the street.
"~It's a happy day in Hell!~" Charlie waves at a demon who was holding a newspaper before she catches his attention, revealing himself to be a meth addict with a spoon full of meth.
"Hi, mister!"
"Go fuck yourself!" One demon opens his window, revealing his apartment on fire.
"~There's an endless trash fire that's burning my soul~"
"Hello!"
"~And a ton of barbed wire to shove in his hole!~"
"Ah, excuse me!"
"~Doing what is required, we all have our role.~"
"~I'm not doin' well!~"
"~Another shitty day in Hell!~" Charlie climbs on the trunk of the destroyed car and faces the other direction.
"~If I can show them the dream I've dreamed. That any soul can change!~"
Hazbin Hotel-
From the Hazbin Hotel, Vaggie comes into the watchtower, as if she's calling out to her girlfriends.
"~Those angels minds are hard to change.~"
"~Then they will know everyone can be redeemed. From the evil to the strange!~" Yn pushes through a group of demons that run away or moved aside at the sight of Yn.
"~They're bloodthirsty and deranged!~"
Pentagram City-
"~I can hear all their stories. The lost and displaced. And I know that they're more of an acquired taste. But if I open the door and I give them a place. At my Hazbin Hotel. It'll be a happy day in Hell!~" A truck comes by, and Charlie hitches a ride from behind so she can get around the city such as the porn studios, and the Cannibal Colony. Yn sighs as she looks Charlie riding away.
"Come on Charlie!"
"~From the porn studio. Where the cinephiles go. To watch award-winning demon bukkake shows! To the cannibal town. Where they don't wear a frown 'cause.~" Charlie was shot in the eye with blood from one of the corpses that the cannibals were eating on.
"~Holy shit! Ew, my gosh! WHY?! And I don't give a crow that His brain's got in my eye! Cause I know I can spare them. From Heaven's genocide! I can do this, I just know it!~"
"~There's an endless trash fire that's burning my soul.~"
"~I'll get Heaven behind my plans! There's just no way I could blow it.~"
"~I kinda like the barbed wire that's shoved in my hole.~”
“~Not this once-in-a-lifetime chance! To change their minds.~" Right in the moment, a slug with a Trenchcoat comes into picture, exhibiting his nudist body in front of Charlie, which creeps her out.
"~And touch my parts!~"
"Uh... No thank you. I'm just gonna... ~Fulfill my destiny!~"
"Your loss, bitch!"
"~I can already tell! Today is gonna be a fuckin' happy day in Hell!~" Charlie has gotten to right where she wants to be: the Heaven Embassy with the watchtower.
Song ends here-
Yn run up the stairs and stand next to Charlie while panting a little and wiping some blood off her face, Charlie looks at her conerned.
"Are you okay?" Charlie asked.
"Yeah... Just had to break through some crowds of sinners to get to you... You could have slowed down a little..." Charlie chuckles a little.
"Sorry." removes a piece of flesh off Yn's hair.
"No, never change." She smiles at Charlie and kisses her cheek.
"Why don't we go in, we don't wanna let the Angel Army leader wait." Yn suggested.
"Right!" She opens the door to peek inside with Yn.
"Hello!" Charlie's voice echoes.
Yn and Charlie enters through the door and finds the whole embassy deserted. She walks to the front desk to check in.
"Hello?" Charlie's voice echoes again, "Well, this is Creepy.." Yn said.
She and Charlie comes to the front desk with no one but a single bell. She taps the bell to ring it, and at the instant, a golden scroll and feather ink pen floats from above over to them.
"Oh, okay.." Charlie signs it.
"That's also creepy." The scroll and feather flies up before disappearing. Right then, the twin doors slide open to show Yn and Charlie the meeting room, and they enter inside the dark room with no one around.
"Uh... hello?"
"Is anyone here? Did the assholes prank us?" The lights suddenly switched on, revealing two angels at the end of the room, with one being a exorcist lieutenant, Lute and the big boss leader of the Angel Army, Adam, who is eating a rib in his hand.
"Sup!"
"Holy shit!" Charlie immediately falls back but Yn catches her after getting surprised by the sudden appearance of two angels in the room. Yn places Charlie back onto the ground and she readjusts herself to introduce herself properly.
"Hi, I'm Charlie, this is Yn. My dad asked me if I could meet you."
"Yeah, I know." Adam eats his rip like a buzzsaw.
"Okay, well. It's nice to meet you."
"Totally. It's nice to meet you too." Adam reaches over to give Charlie a handshake, and as she was about to shake his hand, her hand slips right through, revealing him to be a hologram, fizzing on and off after being touched, which freaks Charlie out.
"Ha! I fucking got you." He turns to Lute.
"Did you see that?" Lute nods once.
"Ha. Good shit." Adam laughs more. Charlie was trying to get something straight with Adam being a hologram.
"Wow, what an old trick." Yn said not amused.
"Still fucking funny." Adam laughed.
"Whatever gets you hard buddy..." Yn said, Charlie was trying to get something straight with Adam being a hologram.
"Uh... so wait. you aren't here?" Charlie questioned.
"Eh, makes senses, I hardly think anyone would willingly come down here." Yn said, Adam laughs.
"Yeah, no, I mean, I love the vibe, totally, I love your tunes. Pretty fucking hardcore, don't get me wrong. But it's such a bummer man. Everything down there's just so "ugh", ya know?" He chuckles dryly.
"Ew."
"Right. 'Snobby c**t.'" Yn insulted him mentally.
"So, I'm happy we've got this opportunity to meet. There's a project that I've been working on that I really want to talk about-" Charlie smiles nervously.
Adam puts his finger on Charlie's lips to quiet her down for a moment.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey, slow down. We've got time. How about we get to know each other a little. Mmm. How about lunch? You hungry?" Adam smirked as he took a plate of ribs he's been eating toward Charlie, "Here's my personal favorite. You'll love it."
"Uh. thanks." Charlie smiled a bit.
"No Charlie, don't-" Charlie went to take a piece of a rib, but her hand past right through them, also revealing to be a hologram, as they fizz on and off from the touch, and Adam laughs while Yn stares at Adam clearly not being amused.
"I got you again! Bitch! Fuckin' hilarious!" Charlie makes a small unamused chuckle alongside Adam's hyper laughter.
Hazbin Hotel-
Back at the Hazbin Hotel, Angel Dust was constantly looking at Husk with seductive gaze while Husk was glaring daggers at her. Vaggie's feet comes into the camera before switching back to in person.
"Okay, so, Charlie is dealing with something very important, so while she's gone, we are making a new commercial. One that represents her vision and what we're doing here. So, we need a camera." Vaggie said, turning to Alastor, "Alastor?"
Alastor snaps a finger to conjure up a camera for Vaggie; however, the camera is a folding-type old camera from the 1930s with no recording films at that time. Vaggie is unamused.
"A video camera?" Vaggie questioned.
"Hmmm." Alastor's lips made a straight line in annoyance.
Despite his extreme distaste for modern technology, Alastor did what Vaggie requested and snaps his finger again to conjure up a video camera that was poorly used with tapes sticked together.
"Alright! Let's do this!" The camera switched into the camera point of view recording the bar scene with Husk behind the counter reading a script in his claws with Angel Dust at the opposite counter. The camera whirrs back to get a better focus of the two.
"And. Action!" Vaggie called. Husk carefully reads the lines on his script, bringing the script closer to read.
"Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel. Can I help with anything?.." Husk read slowly.
"I've been a bad boy, and I need a big, strong daddy to put me in my place..." Angel Dust spoke in a seductive tone before straightening himself up, "on the path to redemption!" He smiled.
Husk groans with displeasure and reads the script again, "Well, you come..."
"Oh, yes!" Angel Dust starts moaning.
Husk paused, bored, "to the right place." Vaggie has had it, and stops recording.
"Cut! Okay, Angel, I need you to be less horny if possible, and Husk, can you maybe not have a script in front of your face." Vaggie demanded.
Husk spoke angrily, "I ain't no actor! I can't memorize this shit!"
"Well, we could improve this shit, baby cakes." Angel Dust then got closer to Husk's face, "Rraww.." He purrs seductively.
Husk gets irritated by Angel Dust and shoves him out of the counter painfully hard.
"Whoops." Husk blankly he then grabs a bottle and drinks it.
Vaggie spoke offscreen, "Husk, come on."
The Embassy of Heaven-
Both Yn and Charlie look bored, Charlie propping herself on her elbows while listening to Adam exaggeratingly boosted himself and his sex life. The camera cuts to Adam.
"So, I was playin' this gig, and for some fuckin' reason, this virtue chick was diggin' on the drummer, and it's like, 'do you know who I am? I'm fuckin' Adam. I'm the original dick!' Adam pointing to his penis down the table, "All dicks descend from me. You think you want drummer dick?" Lute shaking her head, "No way! I'm the Dick-fuckin' master!" Adam eats a mouthful of ribs sloppily, "So, anyway, then we fucked, and it was awesome. What'd you do this weekend?" Charlie caught on what Adam said and realizes one thing about the boss.
"Wait, your name is Adam? The first man Adam, that means you... Oh...." Yn laughs at Adam while Charlie pieces the puzzle together and was surprised that this is very awkward and disturbingly cringy from hearing the story Adam was proclaiming, realizing that this is the reason why her mother left him, making her wince with gawkiness.
"That explains so freakin much." Yn tries to calm down.
"I know. I fucking rock, Hottie." He holds a rock pose and smirked at Yn.
"More like suck." Yn stated.
"What did you say?!" Adam shouted.
"I said. You. Suck donkey balls!" Adam scoffs, clearly feeling offended.
"What the fuck do you mean?! I'm awesome!"
"Man, you're the first human ever created, I have a long list of things you fucked up!"
"Oh yeah? What's that?" Adam questioned, Yn summons a scroll in her hands and rolls it open making it roll all across the room very comically, she clears her throat and looks down at the scroll.
"Let's see here..." Yn suddenly burns the scroll and slams her hands onto the table startling Charlie and Adam.
"Why don't we start with the fucking animal names!" Yn shouted at Adam.
"There's nothing wrong with them!" Adam
"Really?! What were you smoking when you named two insects a cockroach and a grasshopper?" Yn questioned.
"Well one of them eats its own shit, what else would I call it?" Adam said, Yn thinks about that and scoffs a little.
"Alright, cockroach is passable but what about grasshopper? You saw that bitch hopping around in the grass and thought: "Oh shit! Thing hops around in the grass like crazy! That's a grasshopper! Bet Heaven would love that." Yn looks at Adam with his eyes wide like a crazy person.
"Yeah, that's pretty much how it went. How'd you know?" Yn's eye twitches.
"You fucking... What about..." She looks down at another scroll.
"A fucking Sarcastic Fringehead! What the hell is that?!"
"It's a very fucked up fish!" Adam answered.
"A fucked up fish? A fucked up fish?! You're a fucked up fish!" He points at Adam who gasps.
"Did you just call me a fucking fish?! I'm not a fucking fish!" Adam threw his hands up dramatically.
"Wow! Congratulations! Then we have a damn.." Yn looks down at his scroll with disbelief.
"A Aha ha Wasp... Were you laughing while naming that and you decided to go for it?! There's a fucking bird called Boobies! What are you 12?!" Adam chuckles when he hears the name pissing Yn off.
"Then we have a small spider named: Sparklemuffin. Sparklemuffin! Now even I'm starting to get offended, that's a name a small girl calls their new pet cat!" Yn stated.
"You know, I'm... I'm really starting to get bummed out." Adam said.
"Oh? Is the little bitch boy getting upset? You wanna take a nap before you throw a tantrum?!" Yn said with a hand on her hip, Adam slams his hands on the table and gets up into Yn's face as the two glare at each other.
"Fuck you! I can see why you're in hell, you hotass looking whore!" Yn gasps feeling offended.
"Did you call me a whore?!" While Yn and Adam argue Charlie and Lute just blankly stare at them.
-Time Skip-
After a good 20 minutes of arguing and throwing insults at each other Charlie groans as she's slowly getting fed up with the arguing and yelling.
"At least I don't look easy to draw!" Yn insulted Adam.
"You did not just say that to me!"
"Yes I-"
"Yn!" Charlie shouted, Yn freezes when she hears Charlie yell out her name. She slowly turns to look at Charlie who is looking at her sternly.
"That's enough! You're on time out!" Yn looks at Charlie in disbelief while Adam laughs at him.
"What! Time out? But Charlie." Charlie points to a chair next to her, Yn lowers her head with a groan and sits down on the chair with her arms crossed.
"Victory!" Yn glares at Adam as she mumbles to herself.
"At least I've slept with Lilith unlike you! She must have seen how sad your dick is and that completely turned her off, you might be the original dick but mine (Yn sometimes like to change her gander during a fun time) is evolved to another plain of existance!... I mean it might not be me really fucking her, it's more like Lilith fucking both me and Lucif-" Charlie slaps a piece of tape over Yn's mouth and forces her to sit back on the chair. The whole room stays in silence, the only small noise heard is the small huffs coming from Yn who is quickly silenced by Charlie.
She brushes off the awkwardness from Adam and gets to her subject of matter in hand.
"Well, Adam, sir. Mr. Adam, sir." Charlie tried to grab Adam's attention.
"Call me, Dickmaster." Adam smirked. If looks couldn't kill, Yn was so done with this guy.
"Adam. You seem like a smart..." She paused, "well, stand up guy" Charlie smiled nervously.
Adam picking his teeth, "Uh-huh."
"And I know you are the leader of the angels. And you are a big thinker, a revolutionary. A...A genius!" Charlie noted.
"I mean, your words, babe." Adam leaned forward.
"Who would really love to put his name on something." Charlie smirked.
"Fucking love putting my name on shit! Shit's the best!" Adam seemed excited.
"It's a solution to our biggest problem!" Charlie got excited.
"Oh, Herpes. Yeah, that's a bitch." Adam sighed.
"No! Our... other biggest problem." Charlie stated, slightly annoyed.
"Oh...uh. ugly people? Math? Global Warming? Nah, wait, that's Earth's problem." Adam tried to remember.
Yn and Charlie could not believe how dumb Adam is about the oblivious fact to their overpopulation and Extermination problem, as Adam tries to make something sense only to him, and stared at him with a deadpan annoyance
"Ummm..." Adam thought.
'Now I get why humans are a bunch of morons...' Yn thought.
Hazbin Hotel-
Niffty tries to stab a bug. She tries to stab the bug, but misses, and starts stabbing the bug multiple times before Vaggie stops her.
"Stab! Stab! Stab!" Niffty smiled brightly.
"Alright Niffty, Niffty. Your line is "We have the cleanest rooms", okay?" Vaggie informed.
"Got it. I'm ready." Niffty gave a thumbs up Vaggie turns the camera to Niffty, "Action!"
Niffty freezes and stares blankly at the camera, leaving Vaggie puzzled. Angel also peers in.
Niffty freezes and stares blankly at the camera without a breath or blinking from the scene. Vaggie panels away, looking puzzled. Angel also peers in. Close up on Niffty making a blank stare with an ominous shrinking pupil. Angel slowly backs away, already creeped out.
"Uhh, cut." Vaggie stated. Niffty snaps out of it and back to her cheerful self as she giggles, "How was that?"
"Well, Niffty you actually have to say the line, so let's roll again..." Vaggie sighed.
"Ok!" Niffty smiled wildly.
"Action!" Vaggie yells as she sat in her director's chair.
Niffty freezes again staring blankly at the camera.
"You're doing great, Vagina." Angel Dust leans over to Vaggie, smiling smugly.
Vaggie seemed irritated, "Cut! Alright, uhh maybe we can try to fix it in post."
"Do you even know what that means?" Angel Dusk asked.
Vaggie sighed, "I'll figure it out!" She yells out angrily.
-Time Skip-
In a dark room with Vaggie sitting in front of a broken TV, watching the poorly edited shots of the commercial. She groans with frustration before Alastor enters the room.
"Seems like you're having a bit of a trouble there, hmm?" Alastor smirked.
"Ugh, este pendejo (this asshole)... Why are you even here?" Vaggie grumbled.
Alastor takes a seat on a couch next to her, "For the entertainment," Alastor's shadow slips out of his form before reappearing behind the couch, making laughing gestures, "I came here because I love seeing wasteful souls struggle to accomplish something meaningful and..." The shadow disappears, "..fail spectacularly, like you are doing now. Good job!"
Vaggie was getting ticked off by Alastor and his carefree insults, stands up and turns the camera toward him.
Vaggie points the camera to Alastor, "And here is Alastor, the egocentric piece of shit that..." As Vaggie was viewing the camera scene up to Alastor's face, the video camera glitches violently from green to red and Vaggie freaks out, dropping the static camera on the floor.
"UGH!" She groaned.
"I wouldn't try that, my dear." Alastor said, pointing to his face, "This face was made for radio." As Alastor explains, his pupils turn into the shape of radio dials, He had a nightmarish smile while red symbols float around him and the scene goes nearly static before fixing itself back to normal on Vaggie. She has had it with Alastor's insults and walks up to him.
"That's it. I don't care who or what you are. If you're staying here, you're going to make this work, because it won't be so..." Vaggie spoke imitating Alastor's voice, "...' entertaining'.." She went back to her normal voice, "to watch over an empty hotel, will it, shitass?" As Vaggie returns to her chair, Alastor approaches her, "Fair enough. I'll tell you what." Alastor smirked.
"Let's make a deal." Alastor smirked.
"Pfft, you think I'm that stupid making a deal with a demon like you?"
"Not for you soul, just a simple deal. I do this for you and you never ask me to engage with this frivolous television technology every again. Or my dear Yn and Charlie can come back to absolutely nothing: Your choice." Alastor crossed his arms. Vaggie glances away for a brief moment before making her decision as she sighs, "Fine" Vaggie picks up the camera and gives it to Alastor, which he evaporates it with a clap of his hand.
"Now then!" Alastor smirked. Alastor snaps his finger and transforms the hotel into a film set with the hotel staff into a 50s style film crew. Ink demons conjure up as additional background characters.
"Alright everyone, let's make a fucking commercial." Vaggie smirked.
The Embassy of Heaven-
Yn who's mouth is still taped while sitting down and Charlie looking exasperated with another of Adam's sexist rants.
"When you take her out for the fifth time and she still expects you to pay the check but you're like." Adam speaks in a high pitched-voice, "Hey, I thought you wanted equality."
"NO! our shared problem of overpopulation in Hell!" Charlie exclaimed.
"Ohh, well that's not a problem! We got that covered!" Adam said turning to Lute, "Lute, how many demons did you kill this year?"
"Got a good 275 this year, sir." Lute stated.
"275? Woah! Badass! Awesome job, danger tits! Pound it." Adam raises a fist for Lute to make a fist-bump, which she did.
"Uh no, not awesome. Those are my people, you know that right?" Charlie exclaimed.
Adam paused, "Oh yeah. That must suck for you!" Adam bursts into laughter.
"But these are souls... Humans souls just the same as the ones you have up in heaven." Charlie stated.
Lute spoke coldly, "They're not the same. They had their chance and they earned damnation."
"You're wrong. Sinners made mistakes, sure, but everyone makes mistakes." Charlie noted.
"Angels don't make mistakes." Lute noted as Adam glared at her, "Excuse me. I'm sorry."
"You really think that." Charlie exclaimed.
"I know that." Lute looked away.
'I bet to differ bitch, than what does that make Lucifer?' Yn thought.
"Yeah, I've never made a mistake in my fuckin' life." Adam smirked. Lute starts to walk around Charlie while the room starts to slowly become dark with a hit of red light inside.
"The only reason you're still here is because daddy gave you and your hellborn kind a pardon from an exorcist blade. How does that feel, to know how little you matter?" Lute looked at Charlie close.
"How does that feel, to know how little you matter?" Yn glares at her, her eyes glowing red with fire.
"Oops, almost out of time. Guess we should get into it." Adam smirked.
Song starts here-
"Oh fuck!" Charlie rushes to present her plan as fast as she could, "Okay I've got a lot to get through and not a lot of time and I feel like you weren't hearing me before so here it goes."
she opens a small portal where she takes out her drawings of her plans.
Charlie coughs as she starts making a fast-talk, which is close to singing as she gets all over stuff out on the table to show them what she means.
"~I know Hell's population is out of control. It's a bad situation It's taking a toll, If we rehab these Sinners And cleanse all their souls. At my Hazbin Hotel-~" Charlie rambles through the stacks of paper to get something. "Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself!" Charlie smiled and held up some more papers. "Right Extermination!"
"~I know you guys fly down Just to kill once a year, And it must be annoying To schlep all the way here, If they join you in Heaven That trip disappears! You can wave that chore farewell *deep breath* It'll be a happy day-~"
"~Let me stop you right there, safe us precious time~"
"Oh" Charlie gulped.
"~If what you're suggesting Is letting them climb. Up the ladder. Oh, they'd rather cross the Pearly Gates?"
"Well, uh..." Charlie tried to speak.
"~Sorry, sweetie. But there's no defin' their fates! 'Cause Hell is forever. Whether you like it or not. Had their chance to behave better. Now they boil in the pot. 'Cause the rules are black and white. There's no use in tryin' to fight it. They're burnin' for their lives. Until we kill'em again!~"
"Okay, but.." Charlie was interrupted.
"~Just try to chillax, babe. You're wasting your breath.~"
Charlie laughed nervously, "Hehe..."
"~Did I hear you imply. That they don't deserve death? Are they Winners? Are they Sinners? 'Cause it's cut and dry.~"
Charlie held up one of her drawings, "Well, actually, if you take a look..."
"~Fair is fair, an eye for an eye! And when all's said and done 'Said and done' There's the question of fun 'Fun' And for those of us with Divine Ordainment, Extermination is entertainment!~" Yn stands up and rips the tape from her mouth with an angry expression but it's replaced with a smirk as she levitates into the shadows of the room.
"~Bow-now-now-nownow Guitar solo, fuck yeah! Oh, da-ah-ah now-now-n-now-n-now-n-now-n-nownownow.~"  Adam plays a fake guitar. After Adam throws Charlie's papers at her, she gets so angry that she turns into her demon form, making growling noise.
"Ugh..." Charlie growls.
"~Hell is forever. Whether you like it or not. Had their chance to behave better.~" Four golden mirages of Exorcists appear, surrounding Charlie from all sides. Charlie seemed shocked, "Where the Hell did you people come from?!"
"~*Everyone except Charlie* Now they boil in the pot. 'Cause the rules are black and white. There's no use in tryin' to fight it. They're burnin' for their lives. Until we kill 'em again! Fuckin' Hell's forever.~"
"~And it's meant to suck a lot. So give up your dumb endeavor. 'Cause you don't have a shot!-" Charlie glares at Adam, starting to transform into her full demon form while burning her papers that are in her hands.
"~Long as I've got your attention. I guess I should probably mention. That we made the determination." Adam summons a golden scroll that he shows to Charlie. The scroll reads: FUCK YOU I DO WHAT I WANT!! with a crude drawing of Adam at the bottom flipping Charlie off, "~To move up the next Extermination!~"
"What?!" Charlie seems shocked. Yn's eyes widen in shock but her eyes narrow quickly and she grits her teeth.
"~Can't wait a whole year. To slaughter those little cunts. I know it's just been a week. But we'll be back in six months!~" Despite being a hologram, Adam grabs Charlie and throws her right out of the door.
"Um, wait, you-you Ugh, SHIT!" Charlie runs towards the closing doors trying to talk to Adam and when the doors close right in front of her she punches it with small tears welling up in her eyes.
"Yn!" She looks around and realizes that Yn is still in the room.
Inside the room Adan is laughing at Charlie, he turns to look at Lute.
"Did you hear that bitch?! She, she really thinks those cunt's could go to Heaven." Adam laughed.
"You really are pathetic, aren't you?" Adam and Lute turn to look towards a corner were they see Yn levitate out from with a smirk on her face.
"What the hell are you still doing here?!" Adam shouted at her.
"Oh, I'm here to kill you." Adam stares at Yn before he bursts out laughing while Lute smirks.
"And how are you gonna do that? Don't you remember?" He waves his hand through the table.
"We're not down there!" Yn smiles showing his sharp teeth.
"That doesn't matter." In a blink of an eye Yn appears in front of Adam and Lute, she grabs their hands but what they didn't expect happens, Yn is able to physically grab their hands.
Heaven-
In a similar room but in Heaven Adam and Lute stare horrified as Yn slowly starts to break through the "hologram". Yn's face becomes distorted, her eyes twitch with three glowing orbs floating in them, her mouth becomes wide revealing multiple rows of teeth.
"What's wrong? You getting scared bitch boy?" Yn laughed.
"Cut it!" Lute runs over to a switch that cuts off the hologram connection between Heaven and Hell.
"Ahh!" Adam screams in pain. Lute turns around and she comes face to face with Yn who grabs her arm and burns it causing her to scream, but she fights through the pain and pulls on the switch causing Yn to disappear but not without letting out a small haunting laugh. Adam stays silent for a second before laughing.
"Whoo! That was hot for a weird one! I'm hungry as hell, I'm gonna get some food." Adam walks out of the room leaving, he looks down at his arm that had a burnt symbol. Lute who falls onto her knees alone, looks down at her arm and sees a symbol burned onto it as well.
The symbol glows red and both Adam and Lute's veins turn red too as the energy travels up into their head. They groan but stop when the symbol stops glowing. Both opens their eyes that flash red.
"That fucking... Dirty... sinner~" Adam and Lute said nsync. They both held their arm and chuckles.
The Embassy's of Heaven-
Charlie is walking back and forth in the hall ways, waiting for the doors to the room to open and hopefully Yn walking out of there fine. She gasps as the doors open, and Charlie sees Yn walk out.
"Sorry I took-" She is cut off as Charlie hugs her tightly.
"You're okay!" Yn chuckles.
"Of course I am. I just had to stay for a while and show that asshole who he's talking to." Charlie hugged Yn tighter. She sighs, thinking about that Adam said.
"Can we just go home?"
"Yeah. Let's go hun."
Hazbin Hotel-
Yn and Charlie sadly return to the hotel. Vaggie runs to them and hugs them.
"Yn! Charlie! How did it go, did they listen?" Vaggie smiled.
"Oh, they sure did hear it But..." Charlie didn't get to finish.
"Oh come here, we have something exciting to show you." Vaggie leads Yn and Charlie to group, "Alastor pulled some strings and it's about to air."
"I pulled a few limbs too, hahaha.." Alastor laughed.
"Wait, the commercial? You all made a new one?" Charlie smiled.
"Yeah, one of my better performances if I do say so myself." Angel Dust fixed his fluff.
Charlie beams brightly, "That's... that's amazing."
"Well haven't you been productive." Yn smiles at Angel Dust.
"shh, it's starting." Vaggie squealed.
TV: "Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel -" The TV cuts to the News report. The group except Yn, Alastor and Niffty annoyed and angrily complain Charlie even slightly transforming into her full demon form.
"Breaking news in Hell today! We have just received word from the Heaven Embassy that the next Extermination is happening sooner than ever before. Do you know what that means, Tom?" Katie Killjoy exclaimed.
"No, what does that mean, Katie?" Tom Trench replied.
"It means we're all royally fucked!" Katie's eye twitches.
Screaming can be heard from Sinners as the time on the Clock Tower reduces to 176 days till the next Extermination.
"Wait what? Why?!" Angel Dust spoke.
Yn then stands up and starts to walk towards the front doors but she's stopped by Vaggie who grabs her shoulder.
"Where are you going?" Vaggie questioned.
"I'm just gonna go talk to someone... important." Vaggie looks at Yn who narrows her eyes concerned.
"Okay.. Just be safe out there." Yn smiles at Vaggie.
"You don't have to worry about me Vaggie." Yn kisses her forehead and walks out, six wings grow out of her back and she blasts off into the sky as Vaggie looks up at her.
"But I do." Yn flies higher and higher into the air when she sees a barrier that surrounds Hell. Yn closes her eyes and after a second they snap open revealing glowing white eyes. The barrier in front of Yn breaks open allowing Yn to fly out of Hell and right towards Heaven.
Heaven-
Yn lands in front of God's golden castle but her form has changed instead of her more demonic form Yn's form has changed into a beautiful angelic being that looks like she's made out of pure light and holy energy with multiple pure white wings and a huge white halo that surrounds a huge crown made out of holy energy.
Yn walks towards the gigantic golden doors that are guarded by powerful angels. When the angels see Yn walking towards them, they step back and bow in front of her acting if she was God himself. The doors open automatically in front of Yn who walks in.
God's Throne Room-
In God's throne room a seraphim angel is talking to God when they are cut off as the doors to the throne room open and Yn marches in, her presence shaking the room. God smiles at the sight of Yn while the angel bows, Yn looks down at them.
"Leave us please." The angel nods and walks out of the throne room. Yn folds her arms and looks at God who lets out a small sigh.
"What's wrong dear?" God questioned sitting on his throne.
"What's wrong? What's wrong?! What's wrong is that the extermination was shortened to six months!" She yells out shaking the entire castle violently. But the shaking eventually dies down.
"Yeah... I heard about that..." God said still smiling.
"You have to stop that, it's complete insanity!" She starts walking back and forth while waving her arms around.
"I don't even know how that was allowed! I know it's Hell but that doesn't mean everyone should be killed without a care!"
"I know, I know Yn." Yn looks at him.
"If you know, do something about it." Yn demanded.
"I can't. It's not that dire yet."
"Not that dire. That's bullshit." Yn scoffs and crossed her arms. God sighs and walks over to Yn and hugs her from behind, putting his head on her shoulder.
"I might do something about this, I only ask if you let me have you~" God offers. Yn moves away from him with an expression that tells him 'No'.
"Then that's that. Since when did you start caring about the sinners?" God question.
"I don't. but down there are people that I care about deeply and if this continues I'm afraid that they'll get hurt. And if they do, I'll erase all of creation as a whole!" Yn said. God spins Yn around to face him as he wraps his arms around her.
"I promise you, I'lI take care of this if it crosses the line." God swears to her dead in the eyes as he held her close to him.
Pentagram City-
A drone scours an area until it finds a dead Exorcist corpse with its head missing. The drone scans the corpse.
"We found the body, sir. They've never managed to kill one of us before. We should just go down there now and destroy them!" Lute spoke, upset and pissed off.
"No, no. We can't risk them catching on. But, don't worry, when we come back, there won't be a demon left alive to pull a stunt like this again!" Adam sighed as he looked at his burnt arm as it glowed.
(At this point I’m not gonna cover up the bad words so keep in mind I’m future they will be revealed bad words for some)

Traumatized! Reader in any X-Men Evolution universe would be able to relate to a few different characters. The teens were manipulated by a trusted friend/adult? Reader's been there too. Bullied and mocked by your classmates and other students? Happened to the reader, would the teens like to talk about it? Mental health problems showing up at an early age, possibly due to all of that happening? Yep, reader knows a good therapist, they can send the teens their number if they need to talk to a professional. The reader almost died, too-
Traumatized!Reader talking to X-Men Evolution teens: It's amazing how much we have in common. Seriously, I mean- Bullied, mocked, manipulated, even almost killed... Is there anything else I missed?
The other teens: That is pretty strange- wait, what? You almost died?!
Traumatized!Reader: Well, yeah? Isn't that what happened to y'all, too?
Other teens: Only some of us! During that moutain incident! When the h*ck did something like that happen to you?!
Traumatized!Reader: Oh heavens, are y'all alright? Do you need anything? And don't worry, that only happened to me when I was, like, six, maybe? I almost forgot that even happened, to be honest.
Other teens calling their respective team Dads/Moms while keeping a sharp eye on Traumatized!Reader: HOW DO YOU FORGET SOMETHING LIKE THAT?! Hold on one minute, picks up phone call- Hey, (chosen adult), I think we have a new member. Also, I need you to find someone and have a little "talk" with them. Thanks, bye- Okay, that's it, you're not leaving til we discuss this-
(To be honest though, Traumatized!Reader is likely the only one who actually sees a therapist and has had professional help. At least in the long run. They have been through a lot, but they tend to take things in stride. Getting help (and if needed, taking proper prescriptions) has helped them work through their trauma, and they are concerned for the other teens and adults, noticing some of their less than healthy traits)
(And trauma and mental health are not to be ignored. If you need help, please seek a medical professional. You don't have to go through it alone)
Bonus scene:
Traumatized!Reader: fiddling with something during break
Teen Platonic Yan: Whatcha got there?👀
Traumatized!Reader: shields the thing with their body Nothing!
Later:
Traumatized!Reader, finding Platonic Yan Teen after school: Sorry for lying earlier, I did have something. It's this holds out a hand-made stuffed animal
Platonic Yan Teen: Okay. It looks good confused🤨
Traumatized!Reader: Oh, great! It's for you presses it into their hands and goes to leave I'm glad you like it, bye!👋😊
Platonic Yan Teen: ... Oh cr*p, I think I have a new friend/sibling/obsession clutches the stuffed animal, then smiles at the retreating form of Traumatized!Reader Oh yep, they're definitely gonna be in my group😍😊😇
(If reader made stuffed animals for the others, there might be a small war over the stuffed animals, and which group gets the reader. Cue the adults stepping in, and having to meet the reader themselves)
