I scored a Krimson Princess Hoya for seven bucks at the plant sale today and I am PSYCHED. Now I have Krimson Queen, Krimson Princess, Wayetti Tricolor, Rope, Lisa, and a sort of dark green one with speckled leaves that might be Hoya Publycalix but was sold to me without a name. It was three bucks and a leaf. Now it has three leaves and is flirting with a stem. Big growth for a Hoya!
Will take pictures of them in the morning and add them to this post.

Tricyrtis hirta (hairy toad lily)
This species of toad lily is native to southern Japan where It grows on rocky cliffs and shady stream banks. It's orchid-like blossoms open in the autumn when most other flowers have packed it in for the season. These photos were taken this afternoon in Vancouver's Stanley Park.

Hello sir! Please behold this handsome creature I espied at my workplace, a botanic garden in the Washington DC Metro area. Nothing rare or special I think but very comfy.
That is indeed a comfy-looking bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeiana)

Shoutout to this toad who was on my mind for four years and inspired me to make the ceramic toads! :}
These photos are from a 2019 excursion. Hope you enjoy! 🌿🐸

A little thing that I made for my friend, I had made the clay frog about a week or so back and then contended to make him a little habitat to live in
He's rather rough looking so I suppose he's more of a toad than a frog, but a blessed little creature either way
I'm quite found of how the lily pads, lotus (esque), and water came out; I was also going to make them a jumping origami frog but unfortunately all the paper I have at hand is quite thick
Although obscured a good deal by the lily pads, I like how the water came out (lined on the edges with gold), because I don't have a lot of previous experience drawing or colouring water

Toadlily (Tricyrtis)
