I personally haven't been able to see atsv yet, which sucks. but what sucks more is not seeing the fans expand it! I don't see all the stuff on my dash. I have to search on here and on tiktok, and it's all dated from months ago.

the whole thing about Spider-Man, about Into the Spiderverse specifically, is that anyone can wear the mask.

people, fans, can look at this thing they love, and go, hey, maybe in another universe, I could be a superhero, too.

and then they make art. no matter how good or bad they are, no matter their style. even if it's writing rather than drawing. they create, and they get to practice, and they see themselves in this new light.

a light that says maybe I'll help a friend today. maybe I'll smile at a stranger today. maybe I'll be okay, and make it through today.

people deserve to find joy in the little things. people deserve to find love for/towards themselves. even if it's just a little piece of their identity.

people deserve to express themselves. people deserve - nay, - should see the diversity that this fandom brings.

and gods, the diversity.

it's honestly beautiful. and as much as there already is, I really think there should be more of it. I really think people should be encouraged to hold up their mirrors to a world that refuses to look past the "majority."
