Belial, shows them a bracelet on his left wrist: This is a Cyexian diamond bracelet, I made two of them from a piece of a Glow void asteroid and gave the other one to R/n when I proposed to her she never takes it off.

Father of Ultra: …You gave your wife radioactive jewelry?

Belial: The asteroid I got it from was a dud. Its emission is pretty much harmless, Ken, but it has a unique signature that gives off a faint glow when it senses it's partner nearby; which makes it very easy identify.

Zoffy: …You gave your wife a tracking device?

[Everyone gives Belial an uncomfortable look.]

Belial: …It was for a good reason.

80: In what situation is there ever a good reason to give someone a tracking device without telling them it's a tracking device?

Belial: This one.

Zero: ...Urg, This gives me chills to say it, but Belial's got a point.

Riku, while trying to calm his fussy sister down: So you think you can use that bracelet to look for R/n and get her back?

Belial: It's only shot we've got.

[Cyexian (They're the Alien oc race I came up with) facts: Cyexian diamonds are found in a asteroid field that the inhabitants of the Zera nebula call the glowing void, the diamonds are described to be breathtakingly beautiful they're usually teal in color; but sometimes come in green or even rarer purple.

However the diamonds are dangerously radioactive, in fact they're used as a main power source by the Cyexians and when the diamonds are completely drained of radiation they're sold off as regular jewelry, the asteroid Belial had mined was considered a dud because it gave off little to no radiation and was deemed safe to give to R/n.]

Olly, looking miserable from both having to crouch because he's far too tall to stand straight inside Fox's office, and because he knows perfectly well why he's been summoned: No, sir.

Fox: Then you know why I'm currently not very pleased with you.

Olly: Yes, sir.

Fox, sighing: You should have deleted that cam footage Olly. We have procedures and contingencies in place specifically to avoid these kinds of situations.

Olly: It wouldn't have mattered sir. He would have found a way to recover the footage sooner or later. He's their brand of stubborn.

Fox: ... Why did you tell him about what happened that night?

Olly: ...I was hurt. And instead of addressing it properly, I buried my worries beneath my work. So when he confronted me about it, I lashed out...

Fox: ...

Olly: It shouldn't have happened. I should have been a better brother to him.

Fox: I think a lot of his vode before you, should have been better brothers to him. But my opinion on the matter matters little in the end. Just... Make sure you tell him you're sorry.

Olly, backs out of the office and goes back to work while trying not to think about how Dogma's been obsessively rewatching his cam footage of 79's from the night prior to the Guard rescuing him:

Rey being Palpatine’s granddaughter is objectively the Dumbest Possible Premise, but it would have been considerably less dumb if they had presented it in the first movie instead of the third. Imagine if Rey, desperate for a place to belong among the Republic forces, suddenly learns that she is the granddaughter of someone who everyone here considers the Most Evil Person in History. And then she and everyone else has to wrestle with that. Can we trust her? Is she a mole? Is there something in her heritage that will inevitably make her turn to the Dark Side? And from Rey’s side--do you stick with these people despite significant mistrust? Do you go out on your own? Are you tempted to go to the Dark Side just because everyone assumes you will? Or do you hate your grandfather because he left you to your lonely Jakku life and you’re now 1000x more motivated to destroy him?

And then you contrast that with Ben, the guy from the Heroic Light Side heritage who everyone expected to be the great hero who instead embraces his Dark Side ancestors. It still would have been dumb, but at least it would have been interesting, giving you something to explore with the characters rather than stringing us along for a last-second nonsense reveal.
