aerie: part 2

Ever since Shiggy had to pry me off of him this morning, I've felt a little down.
When me and Shiggy are together, I feel whole. I feel confident, valued, loved. But as soon as he's gone, everything starts to crumble. I start to feel like I did when I spent all those years alone. I feel like a low-life, self-centered criminal, without any real aspirations besides getting a thrill here and there by doing something illegal. I start to realize that I'm just a villain that cares for nothing and no one besides my lover and his dreams. Which is great and all, I'm glad I have so much love and devotion to give to the person that I adore so much. But without him... without my Shiggy here to experience it, am I really worth anything at all?
I kick rocks down my commute to UA. The stupid school that's taken me from my comfortable spot by my boyfriend's side. I start to wonder if it's even worth it, to be apart from my rock just for a little project that I don't even care about.
But as soon as I walk in the doors of the school, like a switch has flipped, everything changes. My feelings suddenly go from lonely and dejected to excited and alive. When Kiri catches up to me ranting and raving about the anime he's watching, when Katsuki shoots me a dirty look when I walk in the classroom, when Aizawa gets onto me for doodling in my notebook instead of paying attention in English class, I feel like I'm a part of something. Instead of putting all of my energy into collecting information, I put it into getting in character. When I'm here at this school, I'm no longer Aerie the supervillain. I'm Kaiya Miyasaki, my quirk is glitch, and I'm training to be a hero. I look forward to training and interacting with my classmates, just as if I was one of them. I absolutely love showing off to the others, as well as bettering my fighting skills quirk. This is the most fun I've had in years, and sometimes I forget the reason I'm even here in the first place.
When Aizawa announces the sports festival, the first thing that runs across my mind isn't the opportunities I have as a villain, it's excitement of getting to compete alongside my peers.
And to be honest, I'm starting to get confused as to where to draw the line. I know getting in character will help me with lying, and staying undercover is top priority. But I don't think I was supposed to get to the point where I actually enjoy going to this school. I don't think I was supposed to actually care about the friends that I've made, or respect the teachers I learn from. That's actually the scary part. I know I'm supposed to hate All Might, I mean my boyfriends whole objective is to kill the guy. But for some reason, as long as I'm within these walls, I find him kinda... cool.
And don't even get me started on Katsuki. I don't know exactly what it is about him that mesmerizes me so much, but watching him spit in the face of the status quo, insult, bully, and yell his way to to top, it's invigorating to this character of mine. Watching him tell the group of students huddled at the door that he's gonna win no matter what, it has me absolutely enthralled.
"Wait, don't leave yet," I say to Kiri, "I gotta do something real quick." I push past the people that are still gathered at the door, making my way into the hall. "Wait up, kitty kat!" I call as I catch up to the man of the hour that has me in absolute awe. I don't know if it's Aerie or Kai that admires his confidence so much, but I just can't resist the urge to experience it up close.
"Oh my god," he groans, "Stop following me!"
"No way!" I say as I skip up next to him. "You're just such a joy to be around, I'd miss you too much," I say with a smile. I'm sure he thinks I'm being sarcastic, but I'm dead serious. A day at UA without watching Katsuki be himself is a day wasted.
He rolls his eyes. "You're annoying," he says.
"Well, I just wanted to tell you that I'm gonna kick your ass at the sports festival," I tease, satisfying my uncontrollable urge to try and get a reaction from the guy. "You may have all these guys intimidated, But I know that I'm stronger than you. I've proved it, actually."
His cool guy attitude quickly disappears. "Shut up!" he yells, "You haven't proved shit! You beat me once and now you think you're hot shit, and you're not!"
I try my hardest not to swoon at the beautiful sound of his raspy shouts of pure rage and testosterone. "I have, and I am," I sing. "I'll prove it at the sports festival." My threats are far from empty, there's nothing I'd enjoy more than to see the look on his face when I take first place.
He narrows his eyes. "I'll kill you at the sports festival, glitch girl."
Death threats! Oh, god. I can't get enough.
"I'd love to see you try!" I say excitedly. And now that I've gotten my fix in, I skip away, over to where Kiri is waiting for me at the end of the hall.
"What'd you go and say to him now?" Kiri chuckles as we start to walk together.
"That I was gonna beat him at the sports festival," I say with a smile.
He furrows his brow. "Wait, I'm confused. Do you want to be his friend, or do you want him to hate you?"
"I don't want to be his friend, I am his friend!"
Kiri raises an eyebrow. "You are?"
"Uh, duh. That's why he intervened between me and that villain at USJ. He didn't want me, his friend, getting hurt. And on top of that, he told me that I was the best of the best at UA. He loves me!" I say with a proud smile.
"Whatever you say, man," Kiri says, shaking his head.
"What, you don't think so?"
"Hey, I don't wanna put you down. If you really think that, then that's how it is."
I roll my eyes. "You're too nice. Tell it like it is! Bakugo totally hates my guts."
Kiri furrows his brow in confusion. "But you just said he loves you."
"He does! He loves my talent and charming personality, and hates my irritating pestering and persistence. It's the perfect balance, a great foundation for any friendship."
"Yeah, I still don't get it."
   "What's not to get?"
"If you know what you're gonna say will make him hate you, why do you say it?"
"Because him hating me is what I like about him!"
"Well, tell me this. Do you love Bakugo, or hate him?"
Damn. Hitting me with those hard hitting questions. That is a good one, though.
Do I hate Bakugo? I'm certainly not nice to him, that's for sure. I'm usually as sweet as can be to the people I love, so it wouldn't really make sense for me to want to pester and bother him all the time if I didn't hate him.
However, I saved him from getting mauled by Nomu at the price of getting choked out by my lover, so I have to have some sort of liking towards the guy, right?
Well, let me start here: What is there that I hate about Katsuki? Hmm. His attitude? Nah, I actually enjoy that. His ego? Nah, I respect that. So what do I actually dislike about him? Well, I guess the fact that he's a wannabe hero is annoying. But somehow, I don't really look down on him for that. In fact, I admire his passion and drive, even though it's for something I've spent so much of my life being against. Is there really anything about him that I don't respect or enjoy? Huh. I can't think of any off the top of my head.
Now this: What do I like about him? Well, there's a lot of things. I think my favorite is his voice. The sound it makes when he's insulting me is like music to my ears for some unknown reason. Ok, what else? Hm. Well, the raw emotion he shows with every word and expression is pretty fascinating. He's confrontational like I am, I'm sure he'd rather duke it out with someone than be manipulative and shady, and that's a quality that I like to see in people. He also doesn't seem to care about what anyone thinks of him, which is rare nowadays, and I think that's pretty cool. Not to mention that quirk that he uses with such power and expertise, which is absolutely riveting to watch. He has a cool guy attitude but is actually kind of a nerd when it comes to classwork, and that's pretty cute, I think. And don't get me started on how fun he is to look at. The way he sags his pants and refuses to wear a tie, reflecting his cool guy attitude, it's just perfect. The way his unruly blonde hair matches his explosive personality, I love it. And the way those sharply angled eyes glimmer every time he gets set off, I like that too. His face is nice, just in general. Not to mention the guy is fuckin built. Man, the way his toned arms look in that hero outfit makes me feel things. He's actually kinda dreamy, now that I think about it.
So I guess I like... pretty much every attribute he has. Huh.
   Wait.
This may be a problem.
Kiri waves his hand in front of my face. "Hello? Earth to Kai."
I shake my head at the crazy thoughts that are going through my mind. "Oh. Hey."
"Are you good?"
"Huh? Yeah. I'm great."
"You checked out for a second there."
"Ha. Yeah," I check my wrist like there's a watch there when there's clearly not. "Oh, damn. Look at the time. Um, I forgot, I got this thing, so I'm gonna..." And before I can butcher that lie even more, I beam the hell out of there, down the hall and through the front doors of the school.
I keep my head down as I walk as quickly as possible down the steps, away from this damned place that's jumbling up my thoughts and making me think that I'm actually having fun at a hero school. The same damned place that's making me think that I could have the hots for a wannabe hero!
God fucking damnit. There's a fucking reason I've never asked myself questions about my infatuation with the sludge guy. Subconsciously, I must've known how bad this could be. God, Shiggy was right! He knew before I did! And now that it's been brought to my attention, I can't run away from the truth. I really like that Bakugo guy. Like, really like. He's smart, attractive, interesting, strong, everything that I like in a man. He scratches my brain. He fills a void. He excites me, which is saying a lot, I'm not easily entertained. But when I'm around him, the giddy feeling I usually only get by pulling off heists never leaves my throat. And now that I've brought all of these feelings to the surface, they'll be impossible to hide.
I'm screwed.
I pull out my phone to text Shiggy, praying I can get my mind off of this track before it's too late. Fuck, Shiggy! I have a whole ass boyfriend, and I'm getting a school crush on an asshole like Katsuki Bakugo?! What the hell is wrong with me?! That damned hero prep school, it's getting me all confused!
   -hey alleycat pls call me
I make my way to my apartment building, the whole time trying to convince myself that it's all make believe, that I'm confusing myself with this Kaiya character that I've created in my head.
That's all it is, right?! It's normal for a girl at UA to get a crush on a classmate, but it's not real, it's all just a part of the character I created! I only pretend to flirt with him, because that's what Kaiya would do, right?! Not because I want to!
I make my way up the steps to my apartment, fiddling with the keys and bursting through my door. I throw my backpack on the ground and go straight to the bathroom to look at myself in the mirror.
When I look up, with my school uniform on and my perfect looking makeup, I hardly recognize myself.
I tear off my uniform, frantically putting on my usual tshirt and pajama pants, then go back to the bathroom to wash the preppy looking makeup off my face. Once my face is clean, I take my eyeliner and smudge it all around my eyes. I take my hands and mess up my hair, then take a step back.
   There I am.
I breathe a deep sigh of relief as I let go of all of the feelings of someone else, as I realize the thoughts I was having were not mine.
I don't really have a crush on Bakugo, I'm not really friends with Kirishima, I don't really want to compete in the sports festival, that's all just a part of the character I've created. Kai's not me. I'm not Kai. I'm Aerie. Aerie, the co-leader of the League of Villains, Tomura Shigaraki's girlfriend, the Robinhood of the new world. I want to kill All Might, not be taught by him. Pro-heroes are my enemies, not my teachers. The other students at UA aren't my peers or allies, they're my targets.

thinkin about childhood best friend katsuki (wow shocker) saying he’s “immune” to cooties or he’s “too strong” to get them just to hold your hand and drag you around everywhere because if you’re not at his hip 24/7 there’s a problem.

Bakugo: Come on, Icyhot. Nobody actually believes that Deku is in love with me.
Todoroki, to Class 1-A: Raise your hand if you think that Midoriya is helplessly in love with Bakugo.
*Everyone raises their hand*
Todoroki: Midoriya, put your hand down.

You couldn't even complete a coherent though at first.
Just a minute ago you had been above ground with a hand full of other heroes, searching the hideout of a powerful villain, arguing with your "friend" Dynamite the whole way. It was unclear how this had happened seeing as your mind was red with rage just from looking at the red-eyed nuisance. But you knew that he had caused the ground to crumble beneath you after letting lose a cannon of a blast in the wrong direction.
You would've expected him to hold back his insults to prioritize getting back to the others safely, but no. He just had to keep arguing with you.
Needless to say, you couldn't help biting back.
"I-Ooh! I hate you so very much Bakugou Katsuki!" You snapped, clenching your fists and gritting your teeth.
"Yeah, see if I care!" The steadily rising pro hero barked in response.
"If it weren't for you we wouldn't be stuck in this mess in the first place!"
"Shut the hell up already. Your yapping isn't gonna accomplish anything."
"Oh really?" You scoffed sarcastically.
The blond man now chose to ignore you, setting off a loud explosion at the crumbled dirt walls encasing you instead.
"What are you doing!?" Alarmed, you grabbed his arm tightly. "Did you forget that your dumb quirk is what got us here in the first place?"
He gripped onto the hand you placed on him and seethed, "If it's what got us here, then it can get us out. Now, fuck off."
"Of all the people I'd ever have to get trapped with, it just had to be you!"
"Let. Go." Bakugou rose his free hand, setting off small explosions in attempts to scare you.
You inhaled deeply, nerves igniting. "Oh ho, leave it to Mr. Pro to want to start a fight in this situation. We need to find a way out of here, genius, not dig our grave deeper!"
"I'm not scared to beat up a girl. Let go of me."
"Oh yeah, then hit me with your best shot, you lousy, aggrogant, obnoxious, cocky little son of a-mph?!"
Before you knew it, Bakugou's lips were pressed against yours in an angry kiss.
At first, you didn't know what to do.
Was this real? You wondered.
But then, you felt his strong hands tangling into your hair and pulling you closer and you felt yourself melting into him.
"Bakugou...?" You breathed, as he pulled back for air.
For a second, his eyes simply stared into yours, brows knit together in confusion and anxiety. And you found yourself getting lost in them for the first time, noticing how bright and beautiful they were. How he was.
You weren't sure what exactly the burning feeling coursing though you was right now, you had felt it each time you'd look at this man. Every time you heard a mention of his name. The tell-tale sign that you hated him. Just, it was different now.
Was it just the adrenaline? Or perhaps something else? Something you didn't want to acknowledge.
"Fuck, shit!" He said, hands now trembling and beginning to slip away from you. "Y/N, I-I'm ...?"
Well, whatever that feeling was, you could figure it out later.
For now, you squeezed your eyes shut and wrapped your arms around Bakugou's neck, pressing your lips against his once more in a passionate kiss.

Having a Pro Hero boyfriend was a bit of a struggle you had to admit. Don’t get it wrong you loved the attention from the various amount of people who shipped you and Bakugou, and the feeling of protection and safety when you’re snuggled up in bed with your human explosive, but that was the thing. Waiting to get that affection from your partner was such a long process, especially on days with outrageous villain attacks.
You picked up your phone rotating it to the side to checking for the red line identifying that the phone was possibly on silent mode. It wasn’t. You turned on your phone and scrolled down your notification banner; Snapchat notifications, TikTok notifications, and other unnecessary announcements. You went to settings to check your notifications. Your messages seemed to be on. You opened the message app and clicked ‘Dynamite 🧨💥🧸’ only to see your chain of texts still on delivered. Sighing you lazily scrolled through your texts then studied his name above them. You remember for months Bakugou had questioned the teddy bear emoji. You placed down your phone as your eyes trailed over to the teddy bear on your side of the bed. An cute almond brown bear holding a red heart that had the words ‘Be mine?’ printed in cursive on it.
You grabbed it and snuggled it, the fur on it tickling your nose, and the scent of your boyfriend lingers on it. You remember your first look at this bear. It was all the way back in second grade. Everyone was passing out candy and cards into everyone’s boxes for Valentines. You had finally gotten around to the last desk and dropped your last card in. When you got back to your desk there it was; the bear sitting on your desk with a card right beside it. You didn’t even bother to open the card yet, you just went straight for the plush. “H-hey who gave this to me?” You asked loud enough for the students to look back towards you. They murmured and questioned but the kid that caught your eye was Bakugou. The one who didn’t flinch by your question, nor turn around and face you. Just continued to eat his candy in a careless manner. You had a hunch it was him because he did the opposite of what everyone else did, but why would he get something so meaningful for you?
Back even when you were younger than second graders, you and Bakugou had never had a good history. As it seems to be known Bakugou and Izuku Midoriya, your green haired friend did not get along as kids. Whenever Bakugou would pick on him, the classmates felt bad but they didn’t want a piece of Bakugou so they just stood to the side and observed. Until you came along. Bakugou still remembers the day the teacher introduced you to the whole class. He stared at you as the teachers endless babbling continued.
“Oooh looks like somebody’s in love!” One of Bakugou’s friends teased him as the other clammed his hands together and proceeded to make kissy faces in the air. “What!? No I don’t, and I’ll prove it!” Bakugou replied quickly. He waited for the teacher to Exscuse you to go sit down on the carpet before he spoke, “Hey newbie! Why don’t you just step aside cause I bet you’re really weak!” Bakugou shouted. “Bakugo-!” The teacher started before you interrupted her, “Not weak, just stronger than you.” You replied calmly. Some of the class laughed while Bakugou gritted his teeth in anger. “Yea yea whatever, you haven’t heard the last of me.” He muttered but to your surprise he left you alone. And since he left you alone that meant he was back to only one target. Midoriya.
All day you watched Midoriya being stepped on by Bakugou and his crew. “Hey Deku you should just give up now. You don’t even amount to me!” This kid would say proudly while showing off his quirk. ‘What’s this kids deal?’ You thought. Finally recess came around and you sat down and played in the sand box with this other girl. You were enjoying your time not long before commotion broke out behind you.
“You’re being mean Kacchan! Leave them alone!” The green haired boy yelled. ‘Kacchan…?’. You stood up from the sand box, the girl in there with you questioning you. “Deku what did I tell you about trying to be a hero? It’s not gonna work, at least not against me.” Bakugou replied punching his fist together. Izuku trembled but stood his ground as Bakugou and his friends approached him. He reached for Izuku’s shirt before you screamed, “NO!” Everyone stopped in their tracks.
“You again,” Bakugou said “What do you want?”.
“I want you to leave him alone!” You replied. Bakugou stood silent with a puzzled look on his face. “What this loser?” Bakugou said moving him by his shirt. “He’s not a loser, you are! Now get away from him!” You replied. Bakugou blinked than let go of Midoriya. “Whatever, you two can hang out and be two quirkless losers together!” Bakugou almost shouted. He walked away, his two friends trailing behind him. You turned around to go back to the sandbox before hearing, “Hey, thank you!”.
Ever since that day Bakugou’s always seemed to have a bone to pick with you. You thought he hated you, little did you know this boy was absolutely fascinated by you. No one’s ever had the courage to stand up against him nonetheless succeed. His ego wasn’t as big as it would be in middle school (in the future) but he still had his moments. Yet he wanted to impress you. He would never admit it. Like ever. But he would give anything just for five seconds of your attention. So he would do stupid things. And when I say stupid things, I mean very stupid things. Like insulting you. Why he thought that was a good idea, you will never know. Litteraly trip on thin air just to see your reaction. And then there’s the normal stuff guys do to get a girls attention; talking loud, acting different when you’re around, and sending his friends to talk to you. But still not enough. You were too busy hanging with that Deku kid to “notice him”.
“Katsuki we came to the store to buy Valentines for your classmates so that’s what we’re going to do!” Mitsuki, Bakugou’s mom said dragging Bakugou by his arm. Mitsuki had gotten a email from the school that they had a Valentine’s Day party in for the second graders in the classroom. She wanted her son to be involved in the classroom more often, seeing his ego was growing she knew he had very limited friends.
“But I don’t want to.” Bakugou pouted trying to walk back to the exit of the store. Mitsuki struggled against her surprisingly strong son but dragged him back to the shelf.
“LISTEN, Katsuki! We’re just going to grab a stack of decorative cards and candy and then we can leave ok!?”, Katsuki pouted at this. He turned her back on her with his arms cross whilst her mom asked him questions she knew he wasn’t going to even respond to. “Ooh these are cute, how about these? Ooh but these ones come with stickers. What do you think?”. Bakugou began roaming the isle looking up and down the shelves. He scanned and studied the objects but there was this particular one that caught his eye. It was a cute little cuddle sized bear. It held a heart with fancy writing that spelled ‘Be Mine?’.
After about 5 minutes of shopping Mitsuki was done, but when she was she caught her son eyeing this bear. She stood behind him for a good two minutes before he turned around a noticed her. “Jeez! Mom what do you want?” He asked after being startled by Mitsuki. “Do you want me to buy that bear for you?” Mitsuki asked him. At this Bakugou cocked an eyebrow up at his mom. She never usually buys the stuff he wants in the stores, she’s more of a work for it and earn it type of mom. “Why?” Bakugou asked. “Oh I don’t know, possibly for a little crush you might have at school?” She asked him smiling. At this Bakugou’s ears lit up. “NO I DON’T!” he shouted. “You might want to watch who you’re yelling at Katsuki.” Mitsuki replied very calmly but scary enough for him to simmer down.
After the back and forth between the mom and son they walked out of the store with grocery bags, Mitsuki’s hand held with Bakugou and Bakugou’s free hand carrying a teddy bear.
Bakugou sat up in his room staring at the bear on his bed. He got up and opened the door out of his room to peak on the kitchen counter where a couple extra cards laid on the counter. He took one and a sharpie that was next to it and snuck off back to his room.
And that’s when you received your bear by a “secret admirer”. You weren’t 100% sure it was Bakugou, but you didn’t care. You cherished that bear. You took it everywhere with you, airplanes, vacations, sleepovers, it didn’t matter what the occasion. Even in 6th grade when you had pajama day at school. “You still carry around that stupid bear?“ Bakugou asked. “How do you know, have you been watching me?” You asked as he scoffs, “Besides I think he’s cute.” You replied hugging your bear as Bakugou grunted but exscused himself quickly because he felt his cheeks burn. You ask him about it later but he just pushed you away. But Bakugou knew you wern’t the type of girl to push situations away, you wanted to get to the bottom of everything.
The questions you asked him for months seemed so intrusive to him after a while he was thinking about just telling you the truth so you would leave it alone. But by then his ego was to big.
As the years went on the drama between you came to a rest and finally you two became somewhat friends. And somewhere along the road some what friends became best friends (with crushes on each other yes). Now you were in your last months of U.A and had been known of the school’s best couple for years now. And yet still through the entire way you had the bear.
You remember the first time you had a sleepover with your boyfriend in your dorm. You had just came out of the bathroom brushing your teeth to see Bakugou (in his black tank top 😩) with your teddy bear. He hadn’t noticed you there, but you over heard him muttering to himself, “She till has this huh? Commitment.” He said, then placed the bear down. He turned around to face you and slightly jumped “WHAT THE HELL!?” He screamed as you giggled, “What is up with you and my MOTHER sneaking up on me all the time!?” He said, still he grabbed you and pulled you into his arms.
You always think about the story of you, Katsuki, and his bear in your free time. But your thoughts were interrupted by heavy foot steps outside the apartment door. The keys jingled for a while before the door was unlocked and your boyfriend trudged in. He closed the door and locked it behind him, then headed straight to your room where he knew he would find you.
“Baby!” You said groggily still holding on the bear. Bakugou grinned a bit before pulling you off the bed and locking you into his arms. He then proceeded to kiss you longing for the taste of you all day. “How was your day Suki?” You asked him as he snorted, “Nothing special down at the agency pretty slow day if you ask me. But I’m glad to be back at home with my baby for our special time together.” He said kissing your neck as you sighed with pleasure. You could do this all day but you knew Bakugou had to get in the shower, he absolutely refuses to get on the bed dirty.
Once he finishes showering he slides into bed with you. You have SpongeBob playing in the background, Bakugou learned not to question it when once you had a six hour fight about it.
Your still snuggled up with your bear when Katsuki finally pops the question. “What is up with you and this bear?” He asks as you turn over and face him. “Because you gave it to me.” You reply. “Yeah yeah, but how did you even find out?” He asked. “Dunno. Maybe it was justa gut feeling? Or the the amount of times you made it obvious, it could be that too.” You teased. “HAH? So you’re getting smart with me huh dumbie?” He responded. “Just a little” you giggle. You pull yourself closer to Bakugou and close the gap in between you.
“I love you Suki.” You say earning a kiss on the tip of your nose. “Mmm love you more baby.” He replied. “I have something special for you…” you said smirking. “Oh really?” Katsuki asked grinning leaning more on you by the minute. You hummed in agreement before reaching behind you and grabbing a pillow and hitting Katsuki Bakugou smack dab in the face.
Your giggling became continuous laughing as Bakugou’s smirk turned into a frown then into an evil grimance. “Alright, since you want to play that way.” Bakugou started before grabbing a pillow and swinging at you. You quickly dodged it and ran around the room, Bakugou chasing you close behind. After about two minutes he caught you and picked you up. “NOOOO!” You screamed while laughing before he threw you onto the bed and the game was over.
“God I can’t wait to make you my wife.”
BONUS:
For those who are curious what 2nd grade Bakugou’s note read, here it is:
“Here’s a bear you deserve it. You work really hard and you seem nice. I hope you enjoy this. Happy Valentines Day.” - Secret Admirer.
Such a sweetheart am I right 🥹 ?

Still don't understand how anybody could look at Bakugou and Mic and go 'well, they're both loud blond prodigies, clearly they are otherwise the same type of character and have many other similarities. I bet they're even each other's favored student/teacher!'
No. No they are not

w.c: 9.2k
a/n: never say I don't love y'all.
“Drink up,” my soon-to-be ex-husband said, practically pushing the glass of wine into my face.
I took the glass hesitantly and looked into it. There had been some sort of powdery residue floating on the top of it. I swirled it around a few times before setting it down on the table. I looked across the surface, past the flickering candles, and into his blue eyes. There was something off about the whole ordeal. My husband had never been the “romantic type”. He never made me dinner, even when we just started dating. He would usually order from a really expensive restaurant and call it a day. He never bothered to go the extra mile of putting on a plate, either. He made it clear that he was going to be as mediocre as possible, and I was supposed to be happy with it.
I never understood why I married him or what I saw in him originally. Maybe it was the consistency I craved or how easy it was being with him. He never challenged me in any way or stimulated me for that matter. We only slept together a handful of times in our three years together, but that didn’t bother me all too much. I was simply too busy with housework or my job to accumulate any sort of sexual desire. Yet, I could tell my spouse didn’t feel the same way. In recent months, I have noticed a change in his appearance. He started to shave more frequently, changed his hairstyle, and even bought some new clothes. He smiled whenever he got text messages and would sneak off when his phone rang. I even found a lipstick stain on his collar when doing his laundry, which all but confirmed that he was cheating.
I could deal with the lack of effort on his part.
I could deal with practically being his maid.
I could even deal with him always “borrowing” money from my savings account.
But, what I couldn’t deal with was being the “other woman” in my marriage.
I filed for divorce shortly after that and moved out of the apartment.
It had been three months since everything happened, and he still hadn’t signed the goddamned papers.
“No, thank you,” I said, crossing my arms over my chest. “I’m not in a drinking mood.”
“O-Oh okay,” he stammered, sinking back into his chair.
“I came here because you said there had been some sort of emergency with our shared property,” I explained while pushing the plate of burnt pasta from in front of me. “It wasn’t my intention to have dinner with you.”
“I understand,” he replied, sipping his wine. “You probably still hate me.”
“I don’t care enough to hate you, John,” I said, rising from my seat. “If there is nothing else, I’ll be going now.”
“Y/N! Wait!” He called after me. “Don’t go!”
“If you have anything else to say to me, please notify my lawyer,” I deflected whilst grabbing my purse from the couch. “Have a good night.”
The alarm bells in my head were ringing, and I needed to make my way out of there quickly.
As I was turning around to take my leave, I felt a slight prick on the side of my neck. I raised my hand to the area and pressed it against it. I brought my finger to my face. There had been a clear liquid oozing from the area. I couldn’t immediately detect what it could’ve been, but I felt my body begin to sway on its own. I looked up at John, a medical syringe in his hands and a sadistic look on his face.
“Why do you always have to be so fucking difficult, Y/N?” He said, dropping the syringe on the ground.
“W-What are y-you talking about?” I slurred, trying to grab onto the couch.
“All you had to you was drink the wine,” John admitted.
“W-Wha. . .”
“Now, I have to drag you there myself.”
My hand slipped when trying to hold onto the couch, and my entire body crashed onto the floor. The room was spinning. The sounds were coming in and out of range. I could hear John say something, but I couldn’t piece the words together. My body started to feel tingly and numb all over. I could feel John pulling against my arms, but I couldn’t tell where he was taking me. He was still ranting about something, but, again, I had no idea what he was saying. I could feel my shirt ride up a little as John dragged me against the floor. It was only when I felt a familiar fuzzy sensation that I knew where we were. In our bedroom. Even with my mind half-conscious, I knew the feeling of my thousand-dollar designer rug. Part of me was still surprised that he kept it after all this time. Yet, another part of me knew never to expect so much of John. He would never make the effort to rearrange anything in our home.
But he could make the effort to cheat on me.
My eyelids grew heavier by the second. I was struggling to keep them open.
All I could do was pray to God that whatever he had planned for me wouldn’t be too bad. I hoped that I would make it out of this apartment alive. If not, I would haunt the bastard for the rest of his miserable life.
My eyes fluttered closed, and darkness filled my vision.
“What do we have here?” A deep, throaty voice spilled into my ears. I could feel its hot breath fan my relaxed face and his eyes piercing my skin. “What a pretty little thing you are.”
I did not recognize the voice, nor would I ever. It didn’t sound human. Its pitch was far too deep, too robust for any human to make. It sounded like it belonged to something from another world or dimension. The alarm bells in my head had switched over to sirens. Every hair on my body was standing up, and I could feel sweat begin to dot my forehead. I knew, without a doubt, that there was some kind of eldrich terror on the other side of my eyelids, and I was not ready to face it. I could feel my tears well up and gather in my lashes. Murmurs spilled from my lips as I started to at the restraints binding my limbs.
“There’s no need to be afraid, little rabbit,” the monster purred. “I’m not gonna hurt you.”
“I. . . I don’t believe you,” I whimpered, my eyes still shut.
“So she speaks,” it chuckled. “Wonderful.”
The soft surface— a bed— dipped a little on each side of me. Right near my mid-section. I could feel the heat radiating from its body. It came in slow, hot waves. It was almost like feeling the sun on your skin during the summer. It painted every inch of my skin— wait. I could feel it all over my body. From my legs and arms to my breasts and womanhood. My eyes snapped open, and I immediately looked down. I could the soft candlelight reflected onto my smooth legs. It danced up my oiled thighs and chubby stomach to my ample bosoms. I could see the brown nipples sitting pretty atop the mounds. Just inches above me was a pair of thighs, closely resembling tree trunks, straddling my waist. They were covered in tight leather pants, outlining every muscle. Just above the thighs was a pale torso with rippling abs. Far too many for me to count. Followed by a wide chest and broad shoulders. The muscles in his arms were almost the size of my thighs, and one of its hands could easily cover my entire face.
His jawline was sharp as nails, and his lips were full. He had two pairs of crimson eyes and horns. They added an extra foot to his massive stature despite being slightly curved at the base. The creature had blonde hair that pointed in every direction and mostly fell in its eyes. Under any other circumstances, I could’ve easily been swooned by his ruggedly handsome face.
“Like what you see, little rabbit?” he smirked.
“Who are you?” I asked, pulling the restraints. “What do you want with me?”
“Ah, so your husband didn’t tell you,” the creature said, resting on his heels. “How unfortunate.”
“Tell me what?” I questioned.
“He sold your soul,” it replied nonchalantly. “To me.”
“What?” I exclaimed.
“Yeah, I was pretty shocked, too,” the creature confessed. “I mean, look at you. You’re any man’s wet dream. Thick in all the right places. A seductive, deep voice—”
"What exactly are you gonna do to me?" I interjected, gripping the restraints tighter.
"Well, your husband was pretty adamant about getting rid of you," the creature replied. "He signed a death contract to get you out of this dimension."
It could’ve been his dismissive demeanor or his obvious attraction to me, but whatever fear I had previously felt was slowly melting away to make room for confusion. John had been the kind of person to hire personal chefs and cleaning staff to avoid the responsibilities of managing a house. He would have his assistant buy me anniversary presents rather than buy one himself. He was a man who went out of his way to put minimal effort into our marriage, yet he dared to sell me to a twelve-foot demon from hell. I could feel the anger pool within my being.
The creature above me inhaled deeply. "Your rage is oozing from your pores and dancing within my nostrils," he chuckled. "It has been so long since I smelled something so sweet.".
"Um, Mr. Demon?"
"Bakugo, sweetness," he corrected. "You may call me by my surname, Bakugo."
"Okay. . . Bakugo," I hesitated. "Would you mind untying me and giving me some clothes? I'm feeling pretty. . . exposed at the moment."
A deep, rumbling chuckle erupts from his throat as rose from the bed. "Your body is too precious to be covered with garments. But, since I am in a generous mood, I'll grant your request."
With the snap of his finger, I was no longer tied to the bed. My body has been positioned in the far corner of the room, furthermore from the door. I was standing up, facing the creature that was less than a foot away from me. He seemed even bigger from that angle. His horns were practically scraping the ceiling. Bakugo looked at me with such indescribable hunger that it made shivers trail down my spine. I looked down at my feet, desperately trying to break the tension between us, yet I was a little shocked by what I had on.
I wasn't wearing any of my clothes, but something a little more unique, to say the least.
The dress was black and tight. It hugged every inch of my body while highlighting the parts that were "flattering" to men. It had a deep neckline that brought attention to my cleavage. The leather fabric gave the short dress an uncomfortable stiffness. The skirt barely covered my ass and strained at the thigh section. The six-inch patent leather stilettos made my legs even longer. My wrists were covered in gold bangles, and my hands were covered in rings made of lavish stones.
"Bakugo, what is this?" I asked, inspecting the jewelry. "Why am I dressed like this?"
"As I said earlier, your husband signed a death contract," he informed me. "He used your life as collateral for the deal he made with me a little while ago."
"Why would he make a deal with you in the first place?"
"He used to clean money for the mafia a few years before he met you."
"Holy shit."
"And like the selfish idiot he was, he stole a small fortune from them."
"How much?"
"Close to fifty million."
"Holy shit!" I gasped. "Did he have a fucking death wish?"
"The mafia seemed to think so, and they actively started to hunt him," the demon continued. "As a final attempt to save his pathetic life, he summoned me. Bakugo Katsuki, Emperor of the Underworld."
At that moment, I could feel my heart drop to my stomach. Bakugo was a Samurai turned Emperor in the fourteenth century. He was appointed to the throne by Emperor Go-Daigo, who was awed by his fighting skills and his grit. The Emperor birthed no sons during his reign, so he adopted Bakugo and turned him into a crown prince. He was known to be exceedingly cruel and had a nasty temper. All kinds of stories supported these kinds of accusations. Like the one about him feeding his esquire to a tiger after he looked at the Empress a little too long. Or another about him hanging a war general by his ankles for challenging his judgment. He had the entire war counsel watch as the blood rushed to his head and ended up killing him.
Not only that,  he managed to be a notorious bachelor. Rumored to have had three wives and ten concubines during his prime.
As the legend goes, the devil himself was awed by Emperor Bakugo's lavish lifestyle and offered him a position in hell once he died. The Emperor managed to work his way up the ranks, ultimately taking the Devil’s position once he retired. By the end of everything, Bakugo Katsuki was the ruler of all sin and could manipulate anyone to do his bidding. He was even more dangerous dead than he was alive.
A cocky smirk fell onto his lips as he brought his face closer to mine. "Pretty impressive, huh?" He said as if reading my mind.
"Y-yeah," I stammered, swallowing the lump in my throat.
"No need to be afraid of me, little rabbit," he said while tucking a braid behind my ear. "I already told you that I do not plan on harming you in any way."
"Then what do you plan on doing with me?" Fear still licking my being and making my hands shake gently.
"Allow me to finish the story, sweetness," he replied. "You'll find out by the end."
"Okay."
"I granted John temporary immunity from the mob in exchange for another life. There's a balance between these things. A life for a life, if you will," he continued. "The person has to be pure, almost incapable of sin. He encountered many girls that fit the description, but being the rotten individual he is, John managed to corrupt them. Making them greedy and money hungry just like him. That was until he met you. A wealthy physician from a rich family and lots of money in the bank. You are as sweet as pie and quite as easy on the eyes. You became his safety net. He didn't have to work too hard if he didn't want to. He never has to put any effort into the relationship since you are already too busy. It was a perfect union. Until he discovered the life insurance policy."
My eyes widened. "How did he find out about that?"
"Snooping through your mail," Bakugo shrugged. "It was then that you became more valuable dead than alive."
"So, a couple of million, and he's willing to put me on the chopping block?"
"Not at first," the demon responded. "But you decided to divorce him, completely stripping any chance he would’ve had to obtain that money. Since you two signed a prenuptial agreement with an infidelity clause, John was entitled to none of your money at the very end."
Anger started to rise in my being once more. The sheer amount of entitlement he had was simply outstanding. He was the one who cheated. He was the one who emotionally checked out the marriage first. Yet, instead of acknowledging his mistake and moving forward, he went under the table to try and get me killed.
"That fucking bastard!" I said aloud, balling my fists so tight my knuckles turned white.
"Yeah," Bakugo replied. "Your husband's a real peach."
"So the death contract," I stated, beginning to piece it together. "He signed it to repay the debt he owed to you and to get the money in my insurance policy?"
"Bingo!"
"This greedy motherfucker!" I growled. "I cannot believe him!"
"Truly a greedy bastard," Bakugo agreed, nodding his head.
I paused.  "Wait. But what does that mean for me? Are you saying you're going to kill me?"
A wide smile appeared on Bakugo's face. "Not quite. Maybe even the opposite, if you think about it."
"I'm confused."
"I'm going to make you my Empress, little rabbit."
Bakugo’s dimension was surprisingly tame for being an extension of hell. It had a bright pink sky and crimson mountains lining the outside perimeter of the area. On the far edge of a secluded village was his castle. From my minimal knowledge of Japanese history, it was loosely inspired by the Bitchu Matsuyama Castle— the one that Bakugo most likely lived in when he was alive. The ceilings were taller than the original, probably to accommodate the Emperor’s height. There were pillars made of gold and jade lining the room. The floor was made of hardwood, so clean you could see your reflection. The walls are made of watercolor paintings and gold patterns. Silk drapes hung from the ceiling in a decorative pattern, adding more color to the space. Beautiful women of all shades and sizes lingered in the halls, giggling with one another. They stopped once we made eye contact. They quickly bowed their head and moved out of my way.
The guards, Iida Tenya and Sato Rikido, had given me a tour of the grounds before bringing me to the Empress’ estate on the far end of the property. It was made up of a massive house with about four floors. It was filled with lavish gifts and treasures. From tiger skin rugs to a solid gold statue of Bakugo in the middle of the front room. There had been diamonds and rubies spilling from fountains. Jewelry was littered all over my room. My closet was overflowing with the softest silks and chiffons ever made.
“This is simply too much,” I said, lifting a diamond-crusted bracelet from the bed. “I can not accept all of this.”
“Would you like me to summon Emperor Bakugo, Empress?” Iida asked.
“Well. . . No, that won’t be necessary,” I sighed, taking a seat on the bed. “I will be meeting him for dinner in a few hours, yes?”
“You will, Empress,” Sato replied. “It is customary for the Emperor and the Empress to share meals.”
“Alright, I’ll just talk to him then,” I reassured them before flopping down. “For now, I would like to rest. If there is nothing else, you two may go.”
The guards bowed their heads and excited the room.
I lifted a stray piece of jewelry from the bed and brought it to my eyes. It was a heavy gold chain with a massive emerald pendant in the center. It had to at least be worth a few hundred thousand, yet it was half-heartedly thrown on my bed and tangled with other pieces of similar value. I wasn’t a stranger to wealth. My family came from a long line of professionals, from doctors to politicians. I have had family members with exclusive Cartier pieces and Tiffany jewelry fit for royalty. Yet, when looking at the items on my bed, they didn’t have the same aura as those. It didn’t feel like I was meant to brag about these necklaces and rings. It wasn’t my responsibility to make everyone around me jealous. I was simply supposed to exist whilst wearing the pieces. They were meant to be extensions of myself. An extension of my aura— of my power.
I rose from my slumped position on the bed and walked to the vanity. I brought the necklace to my neck and gazed at my reflection. The gold and the green complimented my bronze skin very well. I undid the clasp in the back and positioned the necklace against my collarbone. I attempted to fasten it, but my braids kept getting in the way.
“Allow me,” said a familiar voice.
I looked over to see the Emperor, resting in the door frame. He changed his attire; it had been a little more Regal than before. He wore silk pants, perfectly tailored to his body. They highlighted his slender waist and plump rear. He remained shirtless but had a decorative robe draped over his shoulders. It swayed as he walked over to me. His hands were adorned with rings, almost like mine, except they didn’t have large jewels. They were simple gold bands.
Emperor Bakugo scooped all my hair to my left shoulder before closing the clasp on the necklace. “It looks good on you,” he said, still gripping my shoulders.
I brushed my hands against the pendant and hummed softly. “I guess it does.”
We sat in silence for just a few moments before I felt his hands drop from my shoulder and snake around my waist. He pulled me closer to his massive body. I could feel the heat radiating from his body and the sweet aroma he carried. He smelled of citrus and cherry blossoms with a hint of spice. It was a scent that brought calm to my being. I found myself leaning into the embrace, intertwining my fingers with his. It was nice to be held like that. Without any ulterior motives or sexual advances, Just to be held by someone who cares for you.
“Have you started to remember, my love?” His voice was low enough to be a whisper.
I locked eyes with him through the mirror. “Remember? What do you mean?”
A painful look flashed on Bakugo’s face before he quickly shook it away. “Forget it.”
“No,” I murmured, turning to face him. “Just tell me. Is there something you wanted me to remember? Is it about John?”
The emperor took a deep breath before pulling me closer to his body. “The walls in this place often have ears attached to them. Let’s go somewhere to be truly alone.”
“Okay.”
Red smoke started to appear at our feet before circling up our legs and abdomens. It engulfed our bodies, breathing pulling us into darkness as it did. I could feel cold winds swirling around me as he moved from one place to another. The sweet smell of my bedroom was soon replaced with the stench of stale air and rotting wood. My bare feet were no longer pressed against warm hardwood; instead, I could feel the cool tile sending shivers through my body. When the smoke cleared, we were not only in a different place, but it felt like a different dimension. It was neither Earth nor Hell, maybe space between the two. It didn’t have the heaviness of the surface, the summer breeze, or twinkling stars. Nor did it have the robustness of hell; it didn’t have the pink sky or the black mountains lining the perimeter. Instead, everything was black and white. Almost like films in the early 1930s. The property that Bakugo transported us to was in pristine condition, despite a few cracks along the ceiling. The furniture was covered in sheets, and the windows had pale drapes blocking out the light from outside. Faded watercolor paintings decorated the doors. Jade stone pillars were supporting the high ceiling. In many ways, it looked almost identical to Bakugo’s mansion back in hell, just less lavish.
“What is this place?” I asked, gently touching the stone pillar.
“This was the palace of the first Empress, Kimiko,” he said with a sigh. “My first and only love.”
“Oh.”
Bakugo smiled softly before abruptly snapping his fingers. Warm light illuminated the front room, adding a little bit of color around us. The emperor walked over to the very back of the room, directly in front of a massive piece of furniture. He reached down and pulled the sheet from atop it, revealing a glistening throne. It was carved out of obsidian, a shiny black crystal— which just so happened to ward off evil and negative emotions. It had gold trimming along the edges and large rubies embedded within the armrests. The base was large enough to seat more than one person, which made me wonder if Bakugo spent some time ruling by her side.
The emperor gently caressed one of the armrests while smiling sadly to himself.
“She was the only one to ever beat me in a fight,” he chuckled. “She laid me flat on my ass before I could even form a proper sentence. I think I started to fall in love with her then.”
“She sounds delightful,” I offered, standing beside him.
“She was,” he reminisced. “She had a temper similar to mine but only unleashed it when it was necessary. She could tame any dragon or beast with a few words. Kimiko handled herself with such poise and grace that even her enemies had to respect her. She was never the type to ask for dominance because people simply gave it to her.”
“What. . . happened to her?” I hesitated.
“She had what you humans now call “cancer”,” he answered, sadly. “It was the only foe she couldn’t best.”
“I’m sorry,” I offered, placing my hand on his arm.
The twelve-foot demon turned his body away from the throne and took both my hands in his. He looked into my eyes as if he were looking at me for the very first time. Bakugo scanned my entire face, searching for something that I could put my finger on. “I believe you are Kimiko reincarnated, Y/N.”
My eyes widen and I took a step back from him. “Tell me you’re joking.”
“Just before she died, Kimiko and I made a blood oath,” he said, unfastening his silk pants. Bakugo lowered the waistband, just a little bit, to reveal a jagged scar; in the shape of a ‘k’. “We vowed to find each other in the next life, with the help of these marks. I have searched many women throughout the five hundred years I have been alive and only one has the letter ‘k’ etched on her waist. And that person is you, Y/N.”
“Bakugo, I don’t think—”
“I didn’t want to believe it at first,” he interjected. “I mean you two look nothing alike. But the longer I have been in your company, the more I could feel this undeniable connection between us. And I know you feel it, too.”
“Bakugo—”
“There is a reason why aren’t scared of me and why came you to the Underworld so willingly.”
“I didn’t think I had a choice!” I countered. “John signed the death contract!”
“Y/N, I know this is hard to believe and I would be a complete idiot to think you’d accept this right away—”
“I didn’t think demons existed several hours ago!” I screamed, frustrated. “All I wanted to do was to divorce my shit husband and go back to my normal life as a surgeon. Not get remarried to a literal ruler of Hell and become an Empress! I didn’t even have the time to deal with the mess John put me in, before being thrown into yet another role I did not ask for. I mean for fuck’s sake, could you have at least given me the remainder of the night to process what happened before springing this on me?! What else do you have under your sleeve? Are going to tell me you have powers or something?”
“Y/N?”
“What?”
“You’re hair is on fire.”
As much as I wanted to deny my connection to Bakugo’s late wife, more and more evidence started to unravel. From what the maids had told me, the emerald chain that the emperor fastened on my neck was Kimiko’s family heirloom. It was passed down for generations to the first-born daughter of the family. However, since Kimiko died childless, Bakugo decided to keep it to himself. I had tried to take it off, discard it from my sight, but the clasp refused to budge. None of my maids could undo it and I wasn’t in the mood to face Bakugo after that night. I was stuck with the necklace on for the remainder of the week, forced to face my reality. Another quirk that came with this reincarnation scandal was the fire. It appears everywhere when I was angry. It started out with my hair, causing it to spike up and lift from my neck. The angrier I get the more the flames engulf my body. It doesn’t hurt, nor does it partially bother me. Almost everything in the Underworld was flame resistant, meaning there was nothing to really worry about.
The maids informed me that Kimiko had fierce red hair, resembling a raging fire. It was part of the reason why many feared her in the first place. Given the dimension and the reincarnation drama, I assumed the lore surrounding her life started to literally manifest the longer I stayed in the underworld. Like when the emperor tried to enter my room without my permission and I managed to toss him across the room in the blink of an eye. We were both shocked by the end of it.
But, he made sure to leave me alone after that.
There were whispers outside my door. A conversation between a very squeaky, feminine voice and a booming masculine one.
I rolled my eyes.
He does it every afternoon— knocking on my door after his morning meetings, in hopes I would invite him in to talk.
The maids knew never to let him and Bakugo knew never to force himself where he didn’t belong. Unless he wanted to be humbled in front of his subjects.
The door opened and one of the servants hurried inside the room. She bowed her head as she stood in front of my bed.
“Do I have permission to speak, Your Grace?” She squeaked.
“Of course,” I replied, repositioning the pillow underneath my head.
“The Emperor has requested you meet him for dinner,” she presented, still looking at the floor.
“Tell him to fuck off,” I said, turning my back to her. “I’m going back to sleep.”
“He brought you a gift,” she started to say before I cut her off.
“I don’t need any more jewelry,” I countered. “I can’t even store the pieces I have.”
“No jewelry, but a person. By the name of John.”
I snapped my eyes open and sat straight up in the bed. “Wait does that mean. . . John’s dead?”
“He said if you have any questions, to ask him at dinner tonight,” the servant replied.
“Fine, tell him I will be in attendance,” I admitted, crossing my arms over my chest. “But, inform him that I will not be staying for long.”
“As you wish, Your Majesty.” The servant bowed again before leaving the room.
Several new maids entered the space shortly after, their heads lowered and eyes looking towards the ground.
“May I help you?” I asked, kicking my legs over the side of the bed.
“We’ve been instructed by the emperor to assist in dressing for dinner,” the woman on the right said, crossing her hands over her midsection.
“He instructed that we place you in traditional empress attire,” the one on the left added.
Emperor Bakugo Katsuki was pushing me into a corner. He wanted me to conform to the role of Empress, even though I would rather walk through the fiery bits of hell naked. I spent the majority of the last week in my room. I only opened the door to get my food trays and greet my servants in the morning. I refused to meet anyone from the royal council or any associate of Bakugo’s. The emperor wanted me to step into my role as Empress so badly that he was willing to try anything— even drag John to the underworld to make it happen.
“That’s not gonna happen,” I countered, walking across the room to the bathroom. “I am capable of dressing myself.”
“But, Your Majesty—”
“If the Emperor has a problem with my decision, tell him he could eat alone for all I care.”
The servants did end up helping me, just not with my outfit. They helped dry my waist-length braids with smaller towels. They divided each braid and applied moose to them. The maid twisted them around flexi-rods and wrapped my head with a silk scarf. Next, we surveyed the makeup that Bakugo had gifted me before I arrived. The blushes and eyeshadows were made up of cool tones, which weren’t complementary to my bronze skin tone. Out of all the blues and purples that were provided, I was able to find muted earth tones in the pile. A collection of browns and metallic shimmers. I decided to make a smoky eye with these shades, with a cut crease. I used gold to fill in the gap to really make my eyelid pop.
“You should wear red lipstick!” The servant on the left— Yua— said, sliding the red lip across the vanity. “It would be a nice pop of color!”
“I don’t know. . .” The other one— Aika— replied. “The red may be a little too bright. She should go with something a little more neutral. Like a brown!”
Yua snatched the tube of lipstick from her hand. “You don’t know anything about beauty products! Red would be better for Your Majesty’s lips.”
“I disagree,” Aika snatched the red tube from her partner’s hand. “The red would be too distracting. Brown would fit the theme a little better.”
“No, you’re wrong—”
“I was planning on using both of them actually,” I said, turning to look at the younger women.
“Really?” They asked in unison. “How?”
I held out my hand and they gave me the tubes. I popped the cap off of the deep brown lipstick and brought my thin, damp brush to it. I rubbed it against the smooth surface, before bringing the brush to my lips. I outlined the shape of my mouth with a dark color, before placing the cap on the tube. I used a thicker brush to swatch on the red lipstick, but only used a little bit of it on my lips. I topped the section with a clear lip gloss and started to rub my lips together, blending the two lipsticks perfectly.
“Wow!” Yua said, amazed. “I would’ve never thought of that!”
“Me neither!” Aika agreed. “It looks so good. Your Majesty is the queen of cosmetics!”
I laughed loudly and rose from my seat. “You give me too much praise. I can assure you there are many women better than me at makeup. I only know how to do simple things.”
“Well, you make simple look good,” Aika chimed in.
“You do!”
I laughed and walked over to the closet. I looked through the hundreds of pieces that were filling the space. Although the pieces were absolutely stunning and very much my style, none of the clothes were big enough to fit me. Except for the floor-length robes in the back of the closet. Granted, they were made with the finest silks of all the land, but they did nothing to compliment my figure. They would completely cover me with unnecessary fabric, making me look even bigger than I actually was. I immediately thought back to the night in the bedroom, where Bakugo made clothes appear on my body out of thin air. Even though I had only been in the Underworld for a week, I was already showing signs of magical abilities. I wondered if the physical manifestation of items was a trait that only the emperor could have, or if was I capable of doing it as well.
I pulled out a random item of clothing from the closet. An all-leather catsuit with a zipper in the center front. There had been a pair of cat ears and a fluffy tail butt plug attached to the hanger.
“These two must’ve been into some seriously kinky stuff,” I said, lifting the tail of the hanger and dangling it in the air.
“Emperor Bakugo talks about Kimiko whipping him all the time— ow!” Yua screeched and hugged her side.
Aika swiftly shook her head a placed a finger on her lips.
I tossed the sex toy to the side and took the item of clothing into my hands. I closed my eyes and simply pictured it on my body. I focused on how I wanted it to fit— how I wanted it to hug my curves, but allow just enough room for me to move comfortably. I could feel my body gradually heat up. The silk robe I had been wearing had slowly begun to slip off, fading out of existence. It was swiftly replaced with a thicker, tiger fabric. It hugged my hips and thighs tightly, while loosely fitting around my tummy. The silk scarf started to slip from my head and my braids untangled from the curlers. I could feel them fall to my back.
When I opened my eyes, I was no longer in my room. I was wearing the catsuit and it fit just as perfectly as I imagined. But, traditional Japanese rode and graced my shoulders. I didn’t know how the two got paired together, but given the state of the outfit, I was not upset at the combination. I was standing in front of massive paper doors, and by the sound of Bakugo’s booming voice, I had to be outside of the throne room.
“Come in, my Empress,” he yelled from the other side of the door. “I have been expecting you.”
Hesitantly, I gripped the handle and slid it open. There had been a slew of upper-rank nobility within the space. Every one of them had a different appearance. Some had horns, while others were covered in scales. Some had pointed ears and a long tail, while others appeared to me more human with black eyes. But, no matter what they looked like, they all openly gawked at me.
“I hope you don’t mind, darling,” Bakugo said with a smirk. “I simply couldn’t wait until dinner time, so I summoned you a little bit earlier than we planned.”
I neutralized any raging emotions that threatened to rise and took a deep breath. I looked at the nobles and gave them a curt nod. “My apologies for having met you in such imprudent circumstances, I was a little under the weather this week.”
“It is no problem at all, Your Majesty,” a loud voice replied from the far end of the room. “We are just happy to be in your presence.”
“Oh you are too, kind the gentleman whose face I cannot see!” I said bowing my head slightly. “I hope to meet you very soon and become good acquaintances.”
I walked down the designated aisle and up the few steps to where Bakugo was seated. I raised my eyebrow, silently asking ‘where am I supposed to sit?”
“Because of such an impromptu schedule change, you just might have to sit on my lap for the meeting,” Bakugo chuckled while patting the area. “I’m sure it will be more comfortable than any chair you have ever sat on.”
He was pushing my buttons and it was working. I wanted nothing more than to not see the smug look right off his face. But, I knew that would only result in more problems. An idea popped into my mind, making a slight smile fall onto my lips.
I turn my back to the twelve-foot demon and press my ass right on his lap. I push my hips backward; I could feel my lower cheeks brush right against his crotch. Bakugo’s hands immediately sunk into my thighs and helped me spin around so that I was sitting sideways. I wiggled my thighs, under the ruse of getting my comfort, and rubbed against his member once again. That time the mighty emperor sucked in a breath.
“You are playing with fire, Empress,” Bakugo whispered, digging his fingers deeper into my thighs.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Emperor,” I murmured, innocently.
Every noble in the room had started the meeting by introducing themselves and their stations. Like Izuku Midorya, chief of defense and weapons. Or Todoroki Shoto chief of merchants and foreign goods. Those two were particularly nice and even kissed my hand upon greeting me. Izuku even winked at me when he pulled away, which made a blush erupt on my face. Bakugo growled silently beneath me, but he didn’t say anything. I decided to drive the knife even deeper into the growing wound.
“I look forward to getting to know you, Midorya,” I said sweetly. “Maybe we could have tea sometime soon?”
“It would be my honor, my Empress,” he replied, placing a hand over his heart. “I will be waiting for your invitation.”
“You are too kind,” I cooed, tucking a braid behind my ear. “I have a feeling you’ll make a lovely acquaintance.”
“Acquaintance? You’re breaking my heart, dear Empress,” he professed. “I was hoping to be your dear friend, at least.”
I placed my hand on my mouth and turned away. “Holy cow! He has me blushing like a teenager,” I whispered to myself, hoping that Bakugo would. “I’m gonna have some fun with him.”
“Enough!” The Emperor yelled, startling the entire court. “This meeting is over! The Empress and I have another engagement to tend to. The introductions will resume at a later date.”
“Farewell to all!” I said, rising from Bakugo’s lap. “It was nice seeing all of your beautiful and unique faces! I hope to become great friends with all of you!”
“Farewell, Empress,” someone called from the far side of the room. “I hope to see you again soon.”
“Goodbye, for now, Your Majesty,” another said. “I will miss gazing upon your immense beauty!”
“Oh, you are just humoring me,” I replied, smiling widely. “I will be back soon. I promise.”
“We miss you already!” Someone else yelled.
“Come to our next meeting!”
“We want to see you every day!”
Red smoke appeared beneath my feet and started twirling up my body. I closed my eyes and attempted to feel the magic encasing my body. I wanted to remember what it felt like, just in case I was given the opportunity to replicate it. Although the palace was nice and I liked the Empress's treatment, I still wanted to go home. Back to where everything was normal. Back to where I could be myself and not a reincarnated soul. The wind started to pick up around us, adding a particular chill down my spine. We were not covered in darkness, but an immense light. It was warm, almost like candlelight. Even the floors were particularly warm and inviting. I opened my eyes to see that we were back in the Empress’ palace. But, unlike before, it was restored. No longer cold and damp, but comfortable and homie. The sheets no longer covered the furniture and the doors looked freshly painted. Even the throne seemed to be dusted and polished; shining even brighter than before. Fresh rose petals were scattered throughout the room, as the soft sound of violins played in the background.
Romantic was hardly a good word to describe the atmosphere. It was more than that. It oozed passion and poise. It was elegant, as it was refreshing. I could feel some of my stress drip away and my heart warm. I looked back at the towering Emperor, his face still turned up in a scowl and his lips pursed.
“You did this for me?” I asked, taking his hand into mine.
“So what if I did?” He snapped back. “You’re just gonna find a reason to be mad at me anyway.”
A gentle smile fell on my lips, as I felt my body suddenly lift from the ground. Once we were on the same level, I took his face into my hands and looked him in the eye. His crimson eyes began to fade into a bright red the longer he looked at me. His grimace faded into a cocky smirk as he brought his hand to my chin.
“Are gonna kiss me or what?” He teased.
“I’m starting to think you don’t deserve one,” I admitted, bringing my face closer to his. “After that little stunt, you pulled earlier. Forcing me to meet the nobles. You ain’t slick, demon.”
“You enjoyed it,” Bakugo cackled. “Having dozens of men fawning over you. You were gushing and blushing the whole time. You love being the center of attention.”
I draped my arms over his shoulders and hummed softly. “I don’t recall this ‘gushing’ you speak of. But, I did blush a few times. That Izuku fellow is quite the charmer.”
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you have a crush on the brat,” he said, placing his hands on my waist. He pulled me closer to him; our chests pressed together and our limbs began to intertwine. “Who knows? You’ll probably run away with him the minute I turn my back.”
“Are you jealous, Emperor?” I chirped, my smile getting wider. “Jealous of a mere chief?”
“Don’t flatter yourself,” he chuckled. “You are just a royal pain in my ass and so is he. In fact, you two would be perfect together.”
“Maybe I should run away with him,” I joked, gently slipping out of his arms. “He’ll probably treat me better anyway.”
“Come back here, Empress,” he called, taking my wrist and drawing me back to his chest. “Who said I’d let you get away?”
My heart was beating in my chest, so loud it was clouding my thoughts. The heat was radiating from his body and pooling around mine. The look he had in his eye was nothing short of lust and longing. He wanted me. Emperor Bakugo Katsuki of the Underworld wanted me. And I was beginning to want him too. The chemistry between us was undeniable. The longer we stood next to one another, the harder it was to resist each other. The way his hands gripped my hips was sending all kinds of signals to my womanhood. I wanted his hands to touch every inch of my body, along with his mouth. His lips seemed all that more inviting the closer we were. Just a few hours ago, I wanted nothing but to knock him on his ass. Again. But, now, I wanted to do unholy things with the demon before me.
Before I could think, I pressed my lips against his. I could feel him tense up for a second, before melting into the embrace. His strong arms wrapped around my smaller body and pressed me against a nearby wall. His moans filled the room as his hands kneaded the soft flesh of my rear. The emperor moved the kisses along the side of my face. Kissing along my jaw and against my neck. He sucked and nipped the soft tissue, making my toes curl in response. I pressed my nails into his bare back. Bakugo took his freakishly long tongue and dragged it along the side of my neck and jaw; bringing his mouth right back to mine. He kissed me passionately once more before pulling away.
“I want you,” He purred. His eyes were drilling into my mine. “I’ve wanted you since the night that asshole stripped you naked and tied you to the bed. But, I wanted to wait. I needed you to want me just as much as I wanted you.”
Although it was the bare minimum, the small action proved one great thing: Bakugo may be a demon, but he wasn’t a monster. He respected my agency and didn’t push my boundaries all that much. He could’ve forced himself on me and no one would’ve batted an eye since he was the Emperor. Instead, he let me mourn for my old life in a luxurious room and send me my favorite foods to liven up my mood. Underneath his intimidating size and appearance, he was a really good guy. Or, demon.
“Tell me, Empress,” he said, between kisses. “Tell me you want me, too.”
“I do.”
The emperor lifted me from the wall and walked deeper into the palace. His lips and hands never left my body. He was all over. Kissing my neck, palming my rear, and unzipping my hands. Bakugo was smothering me in affection and I was simply getting drunk off of it. It felt like there had been more than two hands on my body. And, when he placed me on the bed, I realized that there were. Bakugo had grown an extra pair of arms, directly below his previous ones. They were the same length and size, basically identical. But, that wasn’t the only thing added to his appearance. He had tattoos covering his arms and chest. A massive serpent tattoo traveled up his first set of arms, while the heads were displayed on his chest. The other pair of arms paled a little in comparison. There had been a few Japanese words written in kanji on his forearms, while the tips of his fingers looked to be tattooed a deep black. Resembling them being dipped into ink. He had piercings on his nipples and tongue, in addition to the many on his ears. Bakugo, somehow, managed to make himself look even hotter than before; a talent I didn’t know he had.
“I was planning on keeping the glamor up until after we had— you know,” he said, scratching the back of his head. “But, it was getting a little tiring maintaining it. We can stop if you’re uncomfortable.”
“No!” I said a little too quickly. “This is good. Really good.”
The cocky smirk returned to his lips. “Ah, so you prefer my Demon form over the other one? How interesting.” He leaned closer, allowing his body to hover over mine. One of his hands started to pull at the zipper of the catsuit, while another gently pulled out a breast from behind the cloth. “You are almost making it harder to resist fucking you right here and right now.”
His massive tongue rolled out of his mouth. He lowered his head but kept his eyes on me. Bakugo wrapped the tip of the tongue around my exposed nipple. The foreign sensation made my body shiver. I felt myself arching into his mouth. I wanted more. As if reading my mind, Bakugo lowered his hot mouth onto the bud. He sucked him tenderly, moving his head up and down as he went. I brought my finger to my head and dug them into his hair. My moans filled the room as my body shook with anticipation. His thick fingers inched down my navel and into my waist band. He slid them under my panties and over my sex, before dipping them into my folds.
“I barely even touched you and you are already so wet for me,” he purred, circling my clit slowly. “My Empress, you are so easy to please.”
“Please stop toying with me,” I groaned, moving my hips against his hand. “It’s been so long since I. . . and John wasn’t all that good at it anyway.”
He grimaced at the name. “Let’s not even mention his name.” Bakugo’s fingers slid further down my womanhood and gently pushed into my entrance. “We’ll deal with him at a later time. Let’s just focus on this. Me toying with this tight, sticky pussy of yours.”
He pushed his fingers even deeper and pressed the pads on the roof of my cunt. I gasped loudly and took hold of his robe. Curses spilled from my lips as his digits pumped in and out of me at a beautiful speed. His fingertips were gently massaging my growing g-spot and my walls continued to ooze as a result. Another one of his hands dipped into the waistband. His index and middle finger rested on either side of my clit, while his thumb gently stroked it. Pleasurable sensations were erupting all over my body. My hips were moving on their own, constantly rubbing against his hands, wanting to feel everything. I could feel the pleasure build in the pit of my stomach. My walls started to clench his walls for longer periods the more he fingered my cunt. Suddenly, without warning, Bakugo added a third finger to the mix. Pushing into my slick hole and making me squeal in surprise. There was an interesting burn erupting within my walls.
I pulled on his robe once again, forcing his lips onto mine. Our tongues twirled and danced in each other’s mouths. Eventually, they even fought for dominance. It was then that I felt his fingers move even faster, practically hammering my g-spot. The sheer force of his thrusts moved my lower half on the bed. My hands fell from his robe and my face turned away from his. Deep, throaty pants escaped my throat as the orgasm made a swift appearance. My legs began to tremble as my thighs clenched Bakugo’s hands. My eyes rolled to the back of my head as my mouth formed a massive 'o' shape. Liquid shot from my tender center and sprayed all over the silk sheets.
"Oh…. Fuuuuuck….." I slurred, grinding my hips on his digits.
The emperor maintained his treacherous movements, making the peak last even longer. He didn't stop until my body stopped shaking against his arms. But, by then, my slick coated his palms and was creating quite the wet spot underneath my ass. He slipped his fingers out. They wrinkled from the activity— my juices were stringy around the digits and made them rather sticky.
The emperor smiled. "I can already tell that pussy is gonna be the death of me," he said, slipping the fingers into his mouth. He moaned at the taste. "You even taste sweet."
I allowed my back to crash against the bed and kept my eyes trained on the ceiling as I caught my breath. "Holy shit," I said in disbelief. "I don't think I've ever cum that hard before."
His hot mouth pressed hot kisses against my breasts, up my neck, and finally to my lips. He fondled my nipple as his tongue explored my mouth for the millionth time tonight. When he pulled away, Emperor Bakugo had a shit-eating grin on his face.
"Don't get too comfortable," he chirped.
With a snap of his finger, the remaining clothes on our bodies vanished into thin air. Leaving us both stark naked. And, just like his arms, Bakugo had two members. Both are thick, girthy, and rippled with veins. They were approximately the size of my forearm. Pre-cum made their tips bright and shiny.  The longer I looked at them, the more I wanted to touch them. Taste them. Fill my cunt with them. Surely, I wasn’t prepared to take them both at the same time. Anal was something I truly never tried and didn't feel the need to. However, I was pretty sure there were positions to accommodate both members.
"We are just getting started."

I’ll elaborate when I have time to, but hunter x prey were it’s not entirely clear who’s hunting who because one is a werewolf and the other is a monster hunter. Maybe throw in fated mates trope that they’re actively try to destroy but they can’t control that urgent pull that ends in messy “hate” fucking. They’ve grown obsessed with each other
I think it’d work well with Bakugou or Shinsou

Until you get to know someone pt- 1.
Tumblr media
Katsuki Bakugo x reader
tw: depression, anxiety and stress , maybe a little uncharacteristic for Bakugo? I’m not sure it’s my first fic :p
(Angst,frenemies to lovers)
As everyone gathered around Midoriya’s desk to talk about the exam you all just had,you were at your desk trying not to bawl your eyes out.You had always been a gifted child since elementary school -according to your parents- yet right now you were not living up to your potential -also according to them.-
It seemed like no matter what you did you were never good enough, like you used to be when you got into UA.Ever since the school year started you’d been having trouble sleeping, studying, eating, training and making friends. You didn’t imagine your years at UA would pass like this but here you were, another probably failed exam and no one to talk about your problems.
There were some people who tried to get close to you, like Mina and Uraraka but you never quite felt like you fit in with their groups. You didn’t feel enough and that made you uncomfortable. After a while you assumed they lost interest in you but they would still say good morning every day and talk to you during the day sometimes .You were really grateful for the little amount of human communication you were getting thanks to their kindness. No one was being mean or excluding you,it was just your own doubts and insecurities getting in your way.You knew that, yet it was harder to overcome your demons then simply just acknowledging them.
Yes, no one was bad.Except Katsuki Bakugo. You don’t know why but ever since you met him,he has been nothing but a pain in your ass.You would’ve expected him to pick on someone academically challenging to him,yet your grades were nowhere near his grades. You couldn’t fight back against him for too long either,so you had no idea why but he picked on you more than anyone else. You weren’t sure whether he was you as a friend or opponent or someone he hated.
A loud bang came from the door being pulled too harshly, and you didn’t need to look up to know who just came into the classroom.
He passed midoriya’s desk and stopped right in front of yours, your head buried in your arms as you were holding yourself back.
-So how was the exam for everyone?
You knew he was talking directly to you but ignored it.Everyone else answered him but his gaze was locked on you. After seeing you were ignoring him like you usually did,he kneeled next to your desk so he could see your face.
-Did ya not hear me?
-Now is not A good time, Kacchan.
You said in a mocking tone like you usually did while talking to him, without lifting your head up.
-I told you to stop calling me that!
-And I told you to stop bothering me!
He kicked your desk and you lifted your head at this.
-What the hell is your problem? Can’t you see I’m not willing to entertain you right now?Just give me a break!
He was taken aback by your response, which was unlike your usual snarky comeback. You noticed how everyone was looking at you by now and most of them had their eyes wide open at the scene in front of them.Everyone was used to your usual banter but they never saw you this angry.Just when you thought things couldn’t get worse,Bakugo came in the picture and ruined it further. You couldn’t deal with this right now.You got up and left the classroom as you felt the stare of a certain blonde behind your head.
You went into your dorm room and crashed into your bed. When you thought back to all your classmates witnessing you screaming like a toddler, even tho Bakugo deserved it, was embarrassing to think about.Today couldn’t get any worse. You dozed off into a much needed sleep.
After what felt like 15 minutes of sleep but was actually 2 hours as the clock showed, you heard a knock on your door.Grumpily, you got up and opened it.It was the last person you wanted to see right now.
-You look horrible.
As Bakugo said, you probably did look horrible with a drool on the side of your face and messed up hair. You decided to ignore his comment.
-What are you doing here?
Bakugo huffed and put his hands in his pockets.
-Look we were just talking in the common room with all the other dumbasses and…
As he took more time to gather his words you were becoming more and more impatient. He noticed this and stumbled on his words a little bit. This shocked you.
-L-Look what I’m trying to say is…I didn’t know you were going through a tough time and…I guess I shouldn’t have done that…
You were shocked, was Bakugo Katsuki,THE Bakugo Katsuki trying to apologize to you? You’ve never once seen him apologize, not even to his friends.
-Yeah,you shouldn’t have.
You crossed your arms on your chest. You couldn’t believe what was happening right now.You were going to enjoy every second of his torture.
-Well then maybe you shouldn’t have been such a-!
Bakugo stopped himself abruptly.Classic, you thought.Even as he was trying to apologize he still couldn’t hold his tongue back.
You didn’t feel angry or sad anymore, somehow a simple not-so apology from Bakugo made your day way better.Maybe because you knew how hard this must be for him.Maybe because you’ve never thought he looked cuter than he did right now.
-Thanks for trying to apologize,it means a lot.
You said truthfully and his eyes widened with surprise. You took a step closer to him and smiled. He was blushing, hard.
-Is this really so embarrassing for you?
You asked enjoying this new side of him.He got even redder at this and took a step back.
-Hah,you wish!I’ll see you tomorrow ya extra.
With that he hurried away, turning around to look if you were still looking once he took a couple steps and stuttering to himself when he saw you were.
You suddenly felt uplifted and better.Something felt like it changed today and you couldn’t quite put your finger on it.But you knew you were looking forward to tomorrow.

Sea Of Flames🗡Bakugō Katsuki
A’ranhil, Ithilien, Doritah,  April 5th First Age ,,Histessë lamyëa i lómeo lindalë           á hilya i ómalin íre cuivëa i sérë síra enfainëa i yáreo cálë síra líralvë i oireo lindë..’’
Once it was a massive nation housing just over a million souls, the capital of an elven empire reaching from ocean to ocean. Now, it was a slaughterhouse, it's population reduced to that of a few hundred. In all his years as a warrior, Bakugō Katsuki had never seen such carnage. The very streets weren't visible under the endless puddles of blood, the sewage systems clogged up with severed limbs, and the houses were unrecognisable under the layers of shit, gore and blood that covered them. Wordless, mighty, he waded through the corpses piling themselves up on the streets. He looked at the face of every single one of them. Men, women... children. Most of the children had not even been killed by the barbarians, but by their own mothers and older siblings, who well knew what fate awaited them once the massive walls of the city were finally breached. The blonde Chief walked further towards the alley where his mount was. A massive black dragon, so much larger as the war-elephant it was feasting on. Truly, nothing could have prepared the elves for these monsters, with their fire-breathing breath, massive claws and razor-sharp teeth, that could easily destroy a whole army. Cavalry charges were utterly ineffective against them, Rhinos ended up dead within seconds of being grabbed by their claws, and elephants could not reproduce fast enough to match their numbers. The powerful warrior let out a high-pitched whistle, commanding the beast to come to him. It did, and with a little assistance by its wings, the blonde one settled upon his saddle on the back of the mystic creature. Riding through the rest of the city, he came across his fellow men, who were busy looking for surviving comrades in the piles of corpses littering the streets, and killing any elf they found to be still breathing.  Bakugō Katsuki rode further. As he crossed the alleys, he saw his peers celebrate their victory in different ways: some were decapitating the dead bodies and piling up the heads into huge pyramids, others were found bathing in the blood of their enemies, but most of them were painting. They weren't painting pictures, oh no. They painted the city red. Thousands of his fellow warriors had taken up brushes, soaking them in the blood of the former inhabitants of the great elven city, and soaked everything they could find with their own guts. He rode past the pyramids of severed heads, piling as high as the tallest buildings. He rode past the dead elven soldiers who were hung upon the statues of their heroes with their own intestines. He rode past the few surviving elves, mostly women and small children, who were paraded in chains through their own city as trophies. He rode out of the Gates of the city, and took one last look upon the once green walls of the breathtaking Kingdom Doriath’s, which were now in the process of being painted with blood. It was all silent. ,,Chief.‘‘ Kirishima Eijiro, his right hand man, stained with blood, dirt and sweat, has lowered his red head with respect, the huge axe lies quietly in the warrior’s hand while his equally red pair of eyes look wearily up at his leader, his king. There’s... something that might interest you.’’ It was not a smirk adorning the blood-stained lips of the dragon king, it was rather an expression of complete satisfaction. Of pure bliss. ,,Show me.’’
Tumblr media
The first thing the woman notices is a hot, glowing pain. Her head is pounding uncontrollably. Blood is rushing through her ears and she’s sure a few of her ribs are broken. An unbearable burning extends abruptly from her right leg to the upper side of her hip and makes the young she – elf hurriedly gasp for air. Pure bare panic begins to extend through her flabby limbs – she is alive. Oh Morai – Heg, Nin gwerianneg. ( You betrayed me ) A painful cough creeps out of her throat while the redhead convulsively tries to open her heavy eyelids. How much time has passed? A deep emerald green shows itself to the world, but only sees faint outlines in the never ending darkness. A cell, no - a tent? Where am I? The more thoughts flit through her torn mind, the worse the huge throbbing behind her temple became, which is why a sudden feeling of nausea overcomes her. It comes so fast, that the only option her body allows her to, is to throw her red-haired head aside as far as she can to empty the rest of her stomach. In return she covers herself with her own vomit as a heavy fit of coughs shakes her fractured soul. A pathetic veil of tears begins to lay over the deep green of her eyes, which she holds stubbornly in check with a firm pinch of her sagging eyelids. She should be dead. Buried under the weight of thousands corpses of her folk. Leithio nin, Morai – Heg ( Release me! ) Desperate sends the she – elf a heart – wrenching prayer to the goddess of the underworld, guardian of souls to take her, to bring her to the glorious hall of her ancestors. But no answer came, there is just this heavy defeating silence. The pain of her right leg seems to only worsen as an unbearable heat flits over her trembling limbs. With a heavy cough the redhead then gently tries to lift her broken body into a better position for her leg, but unfortunately without success. With a painful croaking on the burst lips, the woman eventually drops her head exhausted against the blood-stained ground of the foreign, huge tent. No matter where she is or how much time has passed. The immortal body of the she – elf has reached its limits and is too weak to start the process of self-healing. It's hopeless. ,,oh Vanír.. what a tough beast you are, princess of doriath.’’

Dumbass
Summary: rivals to lovers? Softie bakugo and him swearing, been wanting to write this for a while♡ (i take request!)
Wc: 385♡
you and bakugou love to argue with each other. It's literally a routine for the two of you to argue. Everyone tries to get you two to stop but eventually they stopped trying because they realized you two don't take each other seriously. If it ever did get heated you'll hear the sounds of crackling from bakugo and your quirk activating.
youre mom told you could be a lawyer with that mouth of yours. you took it as a compliment though you knew it wasnt,
Many people told you that you'd have better success with being a lawyer than a hero. They joked that if your hero career ever failed law school was your next destination. except bakugou. Instead of trying to discourage you to stop with that smart mouth of yours he always challenged you to encouraged you and you knew that.
You both knew that even with the harsh words you threw at each other you didn't mean it, you both are just fiery people who like a bit of a challenge.
So as you both walked out of the school at the end of the day, you pulled him aside and decided to thank you and tell him what you really felt about him, in your own way of course.
"What are we doing over here dumbass?" He groaned
"Shut up and listen to me for a few minutes. I worked really hard on writing this so just shush for me for once." You said as you pulled out a paper.
you waited for him to close his mouth to continue,
"The topic of today's debate will be about why bakugou should date (name)." You looked up at him before continuing.
"Well first thing is we both know we have a thing for each other-"
"-yknow you dont need to make a whole deal out of it, i would say yes either way dumbass"
"Ah ah- what'd i just say bakugou?" You raised your eyebrow feeling a blush on your cheeks.
"Okay then," he grabbed you closer to him drapping his arm around your shoulder. "Finish it while we walk to our first date then,"
You laughed at him, "gladly."
"you never give up do you (name)?" He sighed
"Nope,"
"Yknow youre a dumbass right?"

SoulBox
CHAPTER 5, THIS IS IT THE LAST CHAPTER
I'm wrapping this up because I just don't have the steam to make a cohesive story anymore lol. I thought I'd have one more chapter but then I crammed it all into this one, oops.
I'm sorry if you wanted to be tagged still it's just been so long since an update I feel anxious about it.
It's time we meet.
You unwrapped a crisp little note that rattled your Soulbox,
Actually this time. No distractions, nothing getting in the way. I'm starting to feel way in over my head about this lately and I've never felt that way about shit before. You deserve the truth. I don't even know if you'll like me for who I am. It doesn't feel right to not tell you everything.
You read the note a few times over to yourself. It was so... perplexing. Up until this point, you'd thought he had just been busy, but now you realized he was avoiding you for a reason. The anxiety you felt was enough to call in a personal day at work. You lay on your couch, wads of crinkled papers thrown around the room. You had no idea how to respond. You wanted to meet, but after obsessing over these cryptic words, what did he mean he's not who you think? Who is he? Is he a villain? Is he even in the hero profession at all?
Why, oh why, did none of those options.... matter, to you?
Your anxiety was centered around why none of this seemed like a big deal to you. But, it was a big deal? And you should be anxious that your soulmate has a deal-breaking secret to tell you, but you aren't. Which is just making you anxious for all the wrong reasons.
... you felt bad for... not .. feeling bad.
You were pacing yourself sick when the buzzer to your apartment rang. It startled you enough you nervously approached the speaker by your door. What if it was him? What if he had found you somehow? What if now was the time? What if-- The buzzer rang again, more feverish and unending now.
"Hello!?" you all but screamed to whoever was ringing your apartment's number.
"What the hell are you doing? Why the hell aren't you at work dumbass?" a familiar voice growled through to you.
"Oh! Bakugo... I... I'm uh, I'm just not feeling well. I think... I have a cold!"
"... Bullshit. You've never been sick a day in your life, your quirk won't allow it."
How did he... never mind, there were probably plenty of people who could figure that fun fact out about you, not just Midoriya the hero-obsessed wonder.
"Ah, uh, that's not, true. Um, see I think it must be a new strand. Yeah, I can't seem to even use my quirk to get rid of it I'm so sick. *Cough Cough* ah, yeah see? So you'd better just leave, I can't have you coming up and getting si--"
You nearly jumped out of your skin as there was a pounding at your door. You checked the peek hole and saw it was none other than Bakugo, scowling into the lens.
"Son of a. WHO let you in the building!?" you screeched, turning to the mess that was your apartment. You scrambled to pick up loose notes, wadded papers, and an occasional tissue when your thoughts went to the worst possible meaning behind the sudden soul-sent message.
"Turns out the doorman is a huge fan of Dynamite. What the FUCK are you doing and why have you not opened this door yet, huh?" he grumbled. "I'll break it down, you know I will." You could hear the agitation in his voice.
"NO! ugh, just give me a second would you!? I told the office I was taking a personal day, I didn't know I also had to tell you too!"
You march back to the door and yank it open, "Remind me to look for apartments with better security--what? What are these?" Your eyes caught the tufts of color lowered by his side.
"What the hell do they look like, Smokey, they're flowers." he pushed them to your chest before inviting himself in.
"I...? Thank you. Why?"
He didn't answer, he just looked at you like you were the crazy one for even asking.
"Okay. Anyway, I'm sorry, is there something I can help you with? I took the day off for a reason you know?"
"What reason?" he quipped.
"It's just one day, Bakugo. I'm just having a personal crisis I guess. My soulmate wants to try and meet up again."
"So? Isn't that what you wanted?" his face unreadable, he made his way uninvited to your couch.
"Make yourself at home, I guess?" Shifting into host mode you pulled bottled water from your fridge and offered it up to your new houseguest. "Well yeah, but the way the note was-- wait how do you know where I live?"
"Wow, distracted much? Your dumbass friend from work, Karen or whatever the fuck told Kirishima and I heard so here I am."
"Kirishima asked where I lived. Why? Wait who? Who's Karen? I'm totally lost."
"Jesus, the secretary lady, I don't know her name I thought it was Karen. WHO CARES. You focus on the dumbest shit, I swear."
"It's not dumb, it's completely valid! But, FINE. WHY DID KIRISHIMA, need to get my address from Sahrin, the secretary!?!" you raise your voice to the absolute bafoon sitting in front of you.
"He heard you were sick and wanted to have a card signed by the office and sent over to you, shitty woman!"
"I'M NOT SICK, HOW DID HE EVEN GET THAT IDEA??"
"OBVIOUSLY FROM ME, IDIOT? I JUST KNEW SHE WASN'T GOING TO GIVE ME THE ADDRESS BECAUSE SHE'S AN ASSHOLE!"
"So you're telling me, you got Kiri to think I was sick, planted the idea that I needed a get well card sent over to me, so you hid within earshot while he probably flirted to get my address out of the secretary, "tHe AsSHolE" Sahrin NOT Karen, and then took it upon yourself to come to my apartment and harass me on my day off, right?"
"I didn't fuckin' hide. I could have got it myself if I wanted, I just didn't wanna flirt with some extra." he huffed.
"Okay, Bakugo. Well?"
"Well what, hag!?"
"... where's my get well soon card!?" You held out your hand, only for it to get harshly swatted away by the blonde.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME? GET SERIOUS."
"Oh wait, so that's what the flowers were for! Everyone thinks I'm sick?"
Bakugo's face blanked a moment, his mouth moving without speaking before his words finally caught up.
"Sure. Anyway, how is your dumbass soulmate causing you to take a personal day off work?" his face was heavy with stress, even with him trying to hide it you could see.
"Right. I dunno. I know it's so stupid--"
"I didn't say it was stupid. I just want a real answer."
"I'll get there! I just, he wants to meet again and the things he said in his note just... didn't sit right with me." You slouched into the couch trying to collect all your various free-floating thoughts.
"First he tells me he's been busy lately. So we haven't messaged a lot, which is fine. But, he's been ... acting differently whenever we do."
"Different? How?" Bakugo leaned in close, his expression told you this conversation had his full attention. It made you feel... wrong. This was the kind of thing you should tell a close friend, not some coworker you started having a crush on. It felt like cheating.
A what-- you turned your eyes away from his burning red one. A bit of a slap to the face that something very obvious had only just now been realized by you.
"I- I-" you stammered, Your thought process seemed to have come to a halt on the outside but on the inside, you couldn't stop the flow of information that was coming from this new discovery.
You hesitated to meet your soulmate now, after minimal contact these past weeks. Why? Because you had someone else to occupy your thoughts now? Was that fair? Was that even right?
Did you stay home out of fear?
Fear that your soulmate wanted to reject you, no it would seem not.
Fear that you would go to work and see someone that didn't make you feel all that bad about that possibility, maybe.
And then what? Bakugo has a soulmate, and from what little he's told you about them, the way he's told you, they might as well be the Sun compared to you.
"I'm sorry. I don't know." You glared hard at nothing in particular. "No, that's not true. It's been me. I've been different." You wrung your hands from the anxiety. Your thoughts and feelings were unfolding before you in real time, not exactly in the way you were used to.
"You?" Bakugo inched closer to your face, something anyone else wouldn't think twice about being that it was a minuscule distance, but at this moment you were hyperaware of every little thing about him. The way his eyes searched your face for more answers. Answers you didn't want to give.
"Yeah. What if I don't... what if it turns out I don't want him to... I've spent my life, believing in him as my one true Soulmate. I know that the world has so many possibilities for us, that there's never just One option. One outcome. But he was my first. And as a child, I banked so hard on fairytales and true love. I was so stubborn I didn't think about ever moving on just because he wouldn't speak to me. And that obsession with him being the one grew because of all the hard work I put into loving him and making him love me."
"But now you don't feel the same?"
"I love him. I do. Or I know I'm supposed to. I know that I will. Because he's my soulmate. I just thought..... I thought he would be the only one I loved." you confessed. Suddenly overwhelmed you stood. "I think you should leave." Your heart tremored at what you needed to do. There was no way you could keep going down this path, you could see no light at the end of it. Even if your soulmate had something horrid to tell you there was no use leaning on Bakugo for any of it. You wouldn't dream of chasing something forbidden as another person's soulmate
He stood without argument or snark as he normally would and silently headed towards the door. He seemed to understand what you were going through, having gone through the same quite recently himself.
"I'm sorry. That I did this. This isn't how I wanted things to go, and I never meant to confuse you. I want you to know that all of this has been very real for me. I'm sorry for not being who I should have been from the start, instead of being an asshole. But I promise you, things can be fixed now." he left quietly, and the air was thick with unspoken words.
You took your Soulbox and moved to the counter. You couldn't wait or hesitate any longer. There was no reason to stall, no reason to overthink it. You quickly jotted down your reply to your waiting soulmate.
Then let's meet, Soulmate.
Let's meet at this park outside of this cafe, here.
The letter came shortly after you'd sent yours. It couldn't have been more than thirty minutes after Bakugo had left. It was a park not far from where you'd had lunch with him so many days ago.
Alright, when?
Now.
Your heart skipped a beat. Now? But you were... well... you weren't busy. But they didn't know that. Maybe you could come up with an excuse... Why were you so nervous? This was what you'd wanted your entire life but the butterflies in your stomach were overwhelming you.
I know you're free today, don't bother trying to get out of it.
You read the message that followed, your heart vibrated so hard you were sure it could activate your quirk and leave you. How? How did they know? Oh god. You felt yourself so desperate now. You needed to know.
I'm on my way.
Know that I love you.
You stared at the message, unsure of your feelings. You mindlessly held on to this note as you gathered your purse and locked your apartment door behind you.
You decided to walk, it wasn't far. You needed time to gather your thoughts and your courage for the meeting. When you arrived, however, you were met with a familiar face unexpectedly.
"Hey! Kirishima, what are you doing here?" you paused on the idea that he was your soulmate, but it was quickly cast from your mind when he jumped straight to the point.
"Did you know that Katsuki never had a Soulbox? He still doesn't." he smiled at you like you'd been in the middle of a perfectly normal conversation.
"What?"
"Yeah, he used to just stuff letters into the front pouch of his backpack in UA." Kirishima's sharp teeth grinned in fondness at his memories. "One day me and some of our friends were curious so we took it when he wasn't looking, and we found a letter form his Soulmate, that was how we found out."
"Oh. That's... funny. Why are you- Why tell me this?"
He ignored you in favor of telling another story.
"So a few years before you came to UA, you remember on the news that he'd been kidnapped and all that? Then we started staying in dorms on campus. Everyone wanted to know what his room looked like because he wouldn't let us in. Anyway, we told him we wanted to study and we all agreed we should do it in his room. He let us, thinking we were actually going to study. The jokes on him cause we all barely passed our classes either way. But yeah, so Mina saw a keychain hanging on the bed's headrest. It was some AllMight holiday edition I think? I don't remember. But, not the point. So we grilled him and he told us it was the first thing his soulmate ever sent to him, funny right?"
"Funny." Your heart was in your throat now. You could feel tears threatening at the corner of your eyes. You needed to hear more but needed silence all at once. It was so much to take in. There was no reason for him to be telling any of this to you. This strangely similar parallel story that you feel like you lived in some way.
"And do you know what the first thing he ever sent to his soulmate was?" Kirishima asked you gently.
You instinctually reached for the locket that lay around your neck, realizing you were still holding the note you'd carried with you to the park.
"What was it?" you whispered so softly you didn't think he'd heard your question. But he didn't need to, it wasn't for him.
"It was a shitty gum wrapper." a familiar gruff voice spoke behind you.
You spun so fast on your heels that you'd lost balance enough to fall into this voice.
"Please." your tears fell freely now. "Please say it's you." you whimpered.
"I tortured someone for years because I had fallen in love with them. I did everything I could to keep myself from getting close to them because I was scared it would mean I didn't really love my Soulmate." Bakugo steaded you, his grip on you was firm and desperate as if you would try to run away. "Then I found out the truth. That I was pushing away the one person I wanted by my side forever."
"I wanted it to be you." was all you could manage, You held out your hand and the last Soulmate letter rolled in your palm, crinkled and wadded up. He took it from you, fixing it, folding it neatly this time before taking the wrapper from your locket and replacing it.
"I don't want you to hate me. I pushed you away because I thought you belonged to someone else. That I belonged to someone else. I should have known it was you all along. I could never be with anyone but you." Katsuki wiped the tears from your face, now holding your cheeks in his calloused hands.
"I wanted it to be you. I'm so happy that it's you, Katsuki."
It was all he'd needed to hear before pressing his lips to yours.
