New character time!! Got the opportunity to join an 'oops all evil cultist' game where I get to play this ambitious bard Miss Melantha Erix! She plans to reshape reality to her vision, cause it's not being a control freak when you're simply correct🖤

Fun facts about her design! Firstly she's not holding a wand its actually a conductor's baton! It also acts a bit like a tuning fork and makes weird warped tones when tapped against surfaces. Second is her coat is actually inspired by a Morpho Menelaus butterfly wing turned inside out!

The College of the Dirge - Homebrew Bard Subclass

You know, yesterday probably would have been more fitting to do a whole subclass about remembering the tragedies of the past and such. Indeed, the loss of our freedom to keep our shoes on at the airport is worth preserving for future generations.

This subclass is not about remembering the heroes, or even the villains - that's the Spirits Bard's job. This subclass is the disaster's subclass.

A bit of an oblique connection to the prompt - it's more about keeping vigil (metaphorically) than about darkness or the moon, as I suspect other entries might go with. That's by design - most of the prompts have room to go off script if you're creative with them.

What? No, it doesn't have anything to do with the ADHD, I don't know why you'd think that.

Another dnd oc! This time a changeling bard named Polaris (my friend named them hehe), their pronouns are he/they/she. He's very much gender evil (lawful evil to lawful neutral tbh) and also Cassandra's partner because my chaotic good girlie needed a villainous partner. Every time my bard clicks on Gale he's like "what can I do light of my life, my love?" "Anything you need, just ask". Quality man.

"We're choosing a charcuterie board for dinner again." Tav said after striding up to Gale's tent.

"Tara would remind me of the value of a vegetable." Gale said, a studious finger barely restrained from poking upward.

"Olives are fruit," Tav answers, drawing on her nature knowledge and her ability to bullshit.

"I'll get the knives from Lae'zel and Astarion, then. I think I saw them throwing them at one another."

*Tav's favorite chaos gremlins (affectionate) Astarion and Lae'zel running around camp with knives. Shadowheart crouches in darkness with a knife. Karlach and Wyll sit in front of his tent, mending their gear.*

The College of Allure - Homebrew Bard Subclass

Mermaids, harpies, and sirens have unions, don't you know? They're stronger together! Can't seduce an unsuspecting adventurer without good dental care.

The College of Allure, because Bards didn't have enough ways to charm people already. Maybe it'd be prudent to warn your players away from this if you don't think you can trust them to be mature about it, but like... Suggestion already exists, Command already exists, Dominate Person already exists. If your bard can't be trusted with this subclass, they'll already be a problem.

Another monster-based subclass that'll be in my monster book. Which is still currently untitled. Not that it really matters since I like making my work free, but I should really just pick a name and stick with it.
