One of the biggest issues we have is THINKING we are separate from God, nature or anything that has energy. But we find it so easy to identify with our exterior material world or our physical plane. Studying physics or metaphysics will blow your mind. Learning how powerful our minds are and how much WE control it is phenomenal. And I won’t lie breaking habits is difficult. Catching the times where you think something and forget the universe will respond energetically. “Ah shit” you get apologetic “iight chill let me take that back”. lol knowing you have to redirect that energy again. Ah man!!!...But Buddha’s or monks always say “one is hungry” instead of “I am hungry”. Knowing that you the soul is separate from the physical you. (Shout out to @pharaoh_aten for that knowledge)

It will help to retrain the brain cells to act or react in different ways that are more serving for you. Or more elevating for you.

Okay so I have to amend my prior ask because the worst community cinematic experience I ever had was (also in 8th grade!) when our teacher decided the class needed to see East is East in order to see diversity in media and I shit you not I almost cried 30 mins in bc that movie is every disgusting desi stereotype wrapped in one very anti-brownwoman storyline designed to get us to sympathize with the "poor brown boy who doesn't want to get arrange-married to the ugly brown girl his parents have chosen" and his secret white girlfriend.

I'm so glad I had a great best friend who said we didn't have to watch something that was upsetting me but I refused to "chicken out" when I really should have done so.

That teacher was one of the best teachers I have ever had from a technical standpoint but he would mix my name with another brown girl's (her name was Isha) and one time when I corrected him he said "to-mate-o, to-mah-to" and I am so mad that I didn't know to speak up louder against his highkey microagressions.

I didn't mean for this to turn into a rant and pls feel free to ignore it entirely lmao I just didn't know how mad I was about it until I started writing lol
