SO. setting i imagine is similar to typical vat7k BUT a little darker and more dystopian. think steampunk industrial stuff... which i know hugo's kingdom is already like lol but just imagine it like. in a lot more places. this is basically a "steampunk" au too

robots are VERY common. invented by a group of scientists with the main ones being donella and ulla

robots are used as service etc etc. theyre not sentient at all so this isnt like. some unethical practice

but ulla and donella are OBSESSED with making them more and more advanced, theyre besties and all that. but ulla is Particularly obsessed with making the Perfect Robot

we know that ulla is kind of messed up in the head. in this au she kind of messes way too much with robot sentience WHILE ALSO getting obsessed with the eternal library. same stuff happens eventually. donella and ulla fight about the eternal library etc etc

BUT ALSO... ulla is working on her Magnum Opus. a son for her and her husband, who she is making to be the perfect robot. quirin is unaware of the shit shes doing and fully trusts her and supports this passion project

and well! she does make the first Sentient Robot. with the use of science and Magical Knowledge she was able to basically give life force through magical means into the robot. The robot of course she named varian. and not only is he sentient, but he looks completely human

she did some messed up stuff tho! again! she's programmed him with fake memories so he thinks he has lived a life fully as a human. he's also programmed to not notice things like the small seams on his body and all that. like his code just immediately disregards all that

anywaysss. after ulla disappears, quirin is dedicated to taking care of varian. he figures it's best to follow with ulla's choice of making sure varian doesnt know hes a robot

MEANWHILE ! because of the schism between ulla and donella, there was some wack shit that happened. namely robots going completely crazy. now all robots are Murder Robots. so the world is pretty Dystopian at the moment

Varian decides he wants to go out and find the source of what made the robots go crazy. bc this sucks lol. like everyone is Just Miserable

so he meets his friends. nuru, yong, hugo!

LETS TALK ABOUT HUGO

hugo works for donella. hugo also absolutely HATES robots. the robots have been messing shit up since he was a kiddo

he's kind of like a robot hunter. harvesting them for parts as well as getting rid of them bc theyre dangerous. usually donella directs him to different missions. and now shes telling him to join this guy (varian) bc she wants the secrets that ulla had hidden and varian is sure as hell after them

sooooo at one point. varian gets hurt maybe, or interacts with something that breaks the code in him or whatever. the code that stops him from noticing his robotic qualities. i think he probably would get super injured and like. he and all his friends stare in shock and horror as some sort of gash or sparks or whatever show a metallic inside

they all find out he's a robot together weeeee. no one is having a good time

so he's living with existential crisis. he's away from his dad so he cant travel all the way back to be like hey What The Fuck. AND he's still dedicated to his goal. but now he's just. confused, scared, and unsure if he's worthy of his humanity that he thought he had

they all try to work with this new discovery (which i think would happen earlier on rather than way later). hugo especially is like. having a crisis. bc he's always hated robots and for good reason. but varian... varian is SO human. he thinks, he feels, he cares, etc. he's more Human than a lot of the Flesh and Blood people he's been around

so you know, hugo starts to fall in love with him anyway. lots of excellent scenes of him helping varian with his mechanics, etc

and of course varian starts falling in love with him too, but is dealing with a lot of confusion as well. like is he even real, doesnt hugo deserve to be loved by a Human and not a Robot, etc etc

You love him and make sure he knows that you do. He does the same, just to make sure you know that your spoken affection does not go unappreciated.

When Wesker first became aware, it was probably in the first resident evil game, taking notice of how Chris and Jill moved the same way. Kind of robotically and really unnatural, but they always knew where things were which was strange to him. It wasn’t until he, himself, had been put under this being’s control did he notice.

Normally, he’d hate to be under someone’s control but this. This was power. When he got a glimpse of the person behind the screen, he knew you had to be his. He started to make subtle contact, trying to ease the self aware thing on you slowly. He had even taken control of his other selves in the different games, he doesn’t need some fakers running around.

You finally took notice when you were playing the mercenaries mode, and that’s when he started to talk to you.

Wesker knew that you had to be his, and this was the first step to that. It started off slow, but you two really got into it during fights. How you would cheer him on, praise him, give him attention. He loved it. Sometimes he’d kiss his fingers and wave to you, just to let you know he hears you. When you were in the menus, you’d always make sure he knew that you appreciated how strong he was.

God he loved it, this was warmth. He wanted nothing more than to keep you close to him. Alas he can’t…for now.

You loved him before he was self aware and now he can receive that attention and return it.

And hopefully one day, he can do it personally. After all, he always finds a way to get what he wants.

“You’re perfect to me…”

You had….somehow gained the trust of a very dangerous robot who just so happened to go by the name Eclipse. He was a bit of a stick in the mud but he had his sweet moments. Today you just couldn’t find him anywhere, no matter where you looked he just wasn’t there. You knew he was probably somewhere in his lab, so you started your way towards it, but as you did…

A huge explosion sounded

Right from his lab.

You gasp as you hear a sharp scream and sprint down the stairs, almost hitting the wall as you slip down the smooth white concrete. You slam the button that opens the door with your fist and your eyes widen in horror as the open door reveals the lab covered in black ash, your eyes dart around to look for your lover, Eclipse.

You eventually find him in a corner of the room just sitting there, limp. You rush over and kneel down, lifting his faceplate up with both of your hands, he looks like….he’s struggling to breathe? Can animatronics even…never mind, there’s no time to think about that, Eclipse is hurt.

His eyes open up a bit and he glances at you, “…Y/N…?” He mumbled, his voice raspy as fuck like he swallowed a damn cheese grater, “Hold on okay? Im going to get you help” you say, hoisting him up on your back, he’s surprisingly light, probably the nanobots. You drag both him and yourself up the stairs, he’s fucking seven feet tall, so that took a while.

You finally reach the top of those damn stairs and you can hear him “breathing” next to your ear, you can’t deny it…kinda sounds hot. but now is not the time to think about that!

You drag him down the hallway as rain begins to fall outside, you can hear the soft pattering against the window. You then finally reach the bedroom and you (try to) gently lay him down.

His body is covered in black ash and even some scratches and dents, oil is seeping out of those scratches. He obviously needs a bath.

You sigh and hoist him up again, bringing him to the bathroom this time, god why didn’t you think about this earlier? You get to the bathroom which is right across the hall from the bedroom (thankfully) and then sit him down on the ground and undress him, you blush as you take his shoes and pants off, of course you don’t look anywhere you’re not supposed to, you aren’t a creep (right-?), and he’s wearing boxers anyway, you then place him in the bathtub, his nanobots are waterproof so he’d be fine being bathed.

You worriedly look over him again, his eyes are closed and his breathing is still ragged as hell, so you turn on the water, making sure it’s the right temperature and let it fill up the tub.

He’s startled awake by the water and he opens his eyes, trying to get up, you gently lay him back down, “It’s alright. It’s me” you say, “I’m just gonna give you a bath, what happened?”

“…I was doing…an experiment…” he mumbled, “Then the stupid…Star started acting up…made me have a fucking heart-attack…or whatever the animatronic equivalent is” he sighed, “I screwed it up…”

“…well at least you didn’t die” you say, watching the water go a sort of grey-ish color, It was kinda gross but you didn’t mind. He then glanced down at himself and blushed a shade of orange, “…am I naked?” He asked, you blush and stammer a bit, “Well- uh- yes- but I didn’t look I swear!” You said, blushing like crazy, “hmm~? Look at what?” He teased, you squeaked a bit, even when hurt he was still so damn cocky. “I don’t understand” you mumble with a sad-ish expression, he glanced at you, “what?” He asked, “I don’t understand how someone like you could be like this with someone like me” you say quietly, looking down at yourself. He puts a hand under your chin and guides you face up to look at his, his soft gaze meeting your eyes, “Hey. Don’t say that” he said, “You’re beautiful, I don’t care what anyone else thinks, fuck society” you can’t help but chuckle a bit, you gently rub his body with your hands, staying away from the No-no square not wanting to make him uncomfortable, you mainly just touch his back, arms, chest, and head. You wash most of the oil off, then drain the water and help him out, you sit him on a stool and drape a towel around him, the towel is ridiculously large considering his size and you had a bit of trouble carrying it. You gently dry him up, rubbing the towel but being careful not to hurt him. You then take him to the bedroom and grab some bandages from a cabnet, you sit him on a chair and bandage him up, carefully wrapping each bandage around his wounds, his nanobots would heal him. You then let him get dressed in a pair of comfortable clothes, when you turn back around he’s wearing a loose black oversized long-sleeved sweater and a pair of orange sleeping shorts, he actually looks really comfy :D

This was special to both you can him because you knew he’d only wear this laid-back attire around you, he trusted you enough to let loose around you. And that was something wonderful ^w^

You also get dressed in a pair of comfy clothes and lay on the bed, opening up your arms to him. He blushed and came over to you, plopping right down on the bed and snuggling himself right in your arms, he buried his faceplate in your neck, retracting certain rays to not poke you or anything else, you listened to the soothing clicks and whirrs his body made when he did so. You began to gently rub his back in circles and hum a tune as he held on to your waist, wrapping his two large arms around you, you listened to the soft artificial breaths that he took and then…

You heard a sort of…vibration against your neck?

It kind of tickled, but it also came from his chest…was he purring?

The noise repeated as he nuzzled you again, you smiled and blushed knowing that he was only like this with you, it just made you feel so…special.

The soft pattering of the rain outside made it even better, you look down at him to find that he was sound asleep, you sigh and close your eyes as well, letting sleep overcome you…

You really loved him, you really did…

Uptade: yeah some of they did some things but bcuz of that project i lost 2 math tests

Olivia

Olivia had zero hope that she could let your friendship flow perfectly, the last few times she made a friend, they were either actually annoying people, or they didn't hang out with her after 5 months. But she was impressed when you and she managed to be together for a long time. Maybe you are special?

She noticed how you always listened to her and didn't interrupt her when she was explaining about her favorite series, and she gets excited when you get really interested. So little by little, Olivia will feel more comfortable with you, and maybe she'll express her ideas.

After...I don't know; almost a year of friendship, Olivia isn't going to accept the fact that she's in love. She admits, you're a good person, you listen to her, and you've never mocked her addiction to machines. You were never bothered when when the two of you just stayed together in silence because of lack of topic, and you even easily soothed Olivia in her vents. She feels easily connected with you, you really understood her, and she didn't believe it, but she felt it.

Olivia knows very well how to hide her feelings, she knows exactly how a person in love acts, she studied human psychology.

If Olivia wants to confess to you, she wants the night to be memorable, but not extravagant. Maybe in front of a pond full of koi on a starry night? Looks good... Olivia doesn't want to give a speech with an extremely romantic poem, she simply wants to hold your hand, and tell you that she loves you, maybe even tell you the main reasons why she loves you.

OK, let's assume you accepted Olivia's confection. So Olivia will feel much happier than she ever was! She always felt lonely for the lack of "honest" people around her, and there were points where she actually almost gave up on meeting someone good. But you showed Olivia otherwise. For Olivia, forever you will be perfect for her

Your relationship is very harmonious, both help each other with the dishes, both help each other cleaning the house, both watch the movies the other wants to watch. It's not the most romantic relationship possible, but you guys are pretty happy together :) it's what you expect when someone mention about "Two responsible adults in a healthy love relationship"

She even showed you a robotic body she made and how she makes her artificial intelligences! Something pretty rare coming from Olivia...

But just because Olivia found her true love doesn't mean it will stop her plans...

Olivia loves you more than anything, you are everything to her, but she will never stop her desire to ditch that disgusting human body of hers. Something Olivia HATES more than anything is being the same species of animal as the people who maked her life hell, Olivia HATES humans. Oh, don't worry, you don't have to prove anything to not get killed by her. Olivia knows you're an angel, that you're completely different than all of them. Just as she is very well aware that you don't deserve to be in the same place as them, no... Not even to breathe the same air! Maybe you were even expecting this from her, after all, we're talking about O7 here.

O7 is much more confident when she is in her robotic form, she flirts a lot more than before. But of course, if you're not comfortable with it, she'll gladly stop. But still, O7 is pretty cocky and sadistc

O7 is aware that you know that she tortures workers, but she is afraid that you will catch her in the act of mental and/or physical torture, and be afraid. O7 is not afraid of anything, but something she completely fears is you leave her.

Very, very protective. O7 treats you like you're a little porcelain doll, and you were in the palm of her hand. O7 would never give such a precious and delicate doll to the tester, neither Cyrus, nor Julia, or even Antony, she can create many reasons why they don't have the right to interact with you. "Tester is gross, Y/N! Did I already told you what he did in the middle of our test sessions?" "Cyrus is an asshole, he's arrogant and doesn't care about the people around him, and I believe that includes you casanova..." "Julia is pyromaniac! I tried to scare this woman with fire and she ended up finding pleasure in the flames! She's crazy Y/N, I don't want her to burn you..." "HA! I bet you'll get to have some sort of interaction with Antony, Y/N. This man is completaly blind. I mean, he's one of the least troublesome, but I'm afraid he's going to make you uncomfortable, my love."

Touchy, not in a totally sexual sense, but O7 will always touch you at one time or another, sometimes holding hands, or placing a hand on your chin for you to look at her, or hands on your waist, etc.

She's definitely already talked about you while making Tester, Cyrus, Julia, and Antony's lives hell. "Oooohh but have you ever seen Y/N sleeping? You should have seen their face Julia, they were an inhuman beauty..."

She loves to dance! I think we say that's the way she stims. Sometimes O7 gets so excited that she just takes your hands and starts dancing until she's tired. And I'm not talking about formal dancing, I'm talking about a messy dance

O7 is pretty jealous when you're with specific people, she gets stressed when you interact with the other humans she was torturing, but when it comes to Philip, she automatically thinks he's trying to steal from her. O7 just can't trust this AI, and she insists that you don't interact with him. If he's already planning on putting an end to O7's plans, what else must he be planning?!

Lore and some fun facts

Olivia/O7 was diagnosed with mild autism at age 16. And, well, her hyperfixtion is robots/AI

As mentioned before, the main inspirations for me to write Olivia/O7 were AM from I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream and The Narrator from Stanley Parable.

The creation of O7/Olivia was an accident actually, a long time ago on this blog I wrote a text that appeared to be a speech by an AI with a great hatred for humans, and actually this text was a vent of mine. These thoughts kept popping into my head that I just thought I'd abuse it and make a character based on that stress.

It's readed "O-Seven" and not "Zero-Seven". It's kinda of a pun, using the O, the first letter of Olivia's name, and the 7, which almost looks like an L, the second letter of Olivia's name. Had to mention that bcuz I was just seeing a lot of people using zero instead of O

I'm still not sure if I do this 100% canon, but O7/Olivia's voiceclaim is the voice actor Lizzy Hofe. but i have zero sure this is will be the oficial voiceclaim of Olivia/O7(If yall have voiceclaim for Olivia/O7 feel free to send me at the ask box) EDIT: OK SO GUYS I FOUND GOOD VOICECLAIM FOR OLIVIA QND O7, COFCOF OLIVIA VOICECLAIM IS TANNIS FROM BORDERLANDS 2 AND FOR O7 ITS DR KLEIN FROM FALLOUT NEW VEGAS. "Biriba but O7 is a women why she have a men's voice?!" Bcuuuuuz the robot body she is, isnt hers! Its supposed to be X's body, winch is a male AI, you will get more explanation in the lore time

And as you can see, Olivia/O7's favorite band is Jukebox the Ghost, her fav song of they is Victoria

As mentioned before, Olivia had problems with alcohol...

Ok lore time. For a long time Olivia was neglected and never felt connected to anyone because of her "unusual mind", and over time she gained a keen interest in robotics and technology. At age 14 Olivia built her first AI, which she kept updating and named X. For Olivia, X was the only conscience that could really hear and understand Olivia through all her stress with humans, maybe they even had a romantic chemistry. But at 19 years old Olivia, when she was moving into her new house, one of Olivia's old house couriers dropped X, breaking the computer, killing X. Olivia wasn't a child, she couldn't just break everything, or hurt the man, she couldn't, she was just a lonely adult. So she cried over X's broken screen, over the ruined interiors, over the plastic around it, she cried, with all her rage. Olivia's story is not a story that is fixed with some kind of love, no, it's a tragedy, a tragedy of mortality, and Olivia couldn't change that.
