Sports romance with a splash of enemies-to-lovers might be my new favorite thing.

Andy and Maya have the angst and chemistry to make this story work. Even with the 9ver used miscommunication plot device.

Softball scenes were entertaining and made me miss going to college games.

This is the 2nd book in a series so go read the first one too.

The multifacetec range LGBTQIA+ characters was appreciated.

anon pls i am literally about to be so annoying because this man has literally raised the bar so high. im putting it under a read more so im not super annoying

were long distance currently and he was here for 10 days like two weeks ago. while he was here he PAID FOR US TO DO A STAYCATION and took me out to like sooo many fancy dinners.

(for context i work at the mouse so i get in for free) i was sad that my favorite fireworks show is coming back but i wouldnt be able to see it because my pass is blocked out. HE LITERALLY OFFERED TO BUY US FULL PRICE TICKETS SO I COULD SEE THEM (the blockout dates got lifted but like.. still the thought was there)

he takes pictures of me alllll the time like… just me. and hes always like staring at them and saying im beautiful??? he also downloaded bereal JUST TO SEE MINE EVERYDAY. hes constantly complimenting me and like i can tell he genuinely means it.

amy car broke down the week he was here and he literally woke up early on his vacation just to drive me to and from work and basically bought me breakfast everyday.

the cherry on top i was like “oh i want to come visit you at some point” literally the day after he left he bought me a plane ticket to go see him. i leave in a week. and hes like so excited to see me hes been planning EVERYTHING which is such a refreshing change of pace. and yeah :) im just like really happy right now hes a really good man

This was a fun sweet swoony romance story with all the steam I love in a Maren Moore romance ! Great characters funny banter some emotional dialogue and this was a winner for me! The writing grabs ahold of you and sucks you into this fictional world full of characters you can relate to and the smutt is top tier! This was another excellent edition in this new series and I can’t wait for what comes next!
