Summary:Two strangers with hidden pasts meet in passing at a bakery, indulging their sweet tooths. When an assassin drives them together, the situation ends far sweeter than either of them could've predicted.

"Oh, you again!"

Hanzo blinked out of his trance and turned.

The woman looking at him was extremely short. And also--despite her words and the way she was looking at him--completely unfamiliar. Long black hair was pulled back from a round, open face. The pink scrubs were pristinely kept, and he read her name off of her shiny badge: Erissa. Pretty name. She had a small bag and a receipt clutched in her hand.

“Hello!” She raised a hand in greeting, flashing a wider smile.

"You have me mistaken for someone else." He intended to turn away and put her out of his mind, but she had other plans.

"No...no, I am pretty sure you were here last week. And the week before. And twice the week before!" When he looked back, she was tapping her chin thoughtfully. "I would recognize that jacket anywhere. It's very distinctive!"

It was very distinctive. One of a kind, in fact.

Hanzo wondered if he could get away with pretending he didn't speak English.

He turned to look at her fully. "What is your business?" His voice was curt, clipped, cold.

She looked confused, but not intimidated. "Um...muffins?" She held up the bag.

"Ah."

He stared at her. She looked at him. After a few moments she seemed to realize the conversation was over, and took a step back.

"Anyway, I did not mean to call you out or anything! But it is nice to see you again!"

He eyed her carefully. Probably not an assassin. She wouldn't have called him out so blatantly. Perhaps a spy? Another organization come to court him?

"I will not hold you up any more...shop's closing soon!" She gave him an oddly tender smile and turned away.

Hanzo didn't watch her leave. He approached the counter, and his usual order was waiting for him in a bag. The person manning the counter shied away as he approached, managing to force out a, "Thanks!" when he dropped a generous tip into the jar. He didn't respond.

The walk to his apartment was, as always, solitary. The summer air was suffocating, but he refused to shed his jacket until the day the heat was physically detrimental. Discomfort, he would endure.

His nightly routine was the same. He got home, ordered delivery, worked out until it arrived, ate, and then read for the rest of the night.

Tonight's reading material was a somewhat trashy fantasy novel he'd found at a bus stop. It was utterly flavorless and the plot was lacking any substance, but the fight scenes were remarkably accurate. He punctuated the evening with raspberry white chocolate cupcakes, and sparkling water. The resulting stomachache kept him up in place of the usual nightmares, which was a suitable tradeoff.

He spent the next few days in his apartment, reading and looking for work. It had been several weeks since his last paycheck. He was far from struggling, but his work had always been about absolution rather than money. If he needed money, he could simply take it. Inactivity didn’t suit him.

Still nothing. His previous employer had promised another job within the next four months, and it had only been one. Impatience was unbecoming, but he was getting restless.

When staring at the screen did not materialize job opportunities, he worked out more. When he was too tired to move anymore, he read.

The next days followed the same pattern, rinse and repeat. After the third day, he returned to the bakery, this time for something a little less sweet than a cupcake. All the sugar made his teeth ache, but he still felt he needed something to get him through to the next mission.

Looking for Fandom MxM RPs

Hi there! I'm Matthew (Or Dean), my pronouns are he/him, and I'm 19 and have been writing for about as long as I can remember. I'm an aspiring novelist, and in my freetime enjoy reading and writing rps along with making OCs and art. I'm looking to add some more rps and rp partners! I could probably be talked into doing ocxoc or ocxcanon rps, but mxm is nonnegotiable. I am of course open to transmen and transmasc characters/headcanons. My rps are usually plot and story heavy, but I do include smut and NSFW, so all my partners and characters must be 18+. I am open to dark/angsty plots as well as lighter/fluffier plots. Below I will list some ships I'm interested in and possible rp ideas!

Batjokes (DCU)

What can I say, I'm a sucker for angst and disfunction. I have the most experience writing as Joker, but am also able to write as Bruce. Transjoker is a pretty big headcanon of mine, but if you're interested in cismale Joker that isn't a problem either.

A current plot I have in mind can be adapted to a nonsuperhero AU- Joker and Harley are splitsville, and without her Joker finds he has no one to turn to in his time of need. What may be that time of need, you're clearly asking. After being cornered and beat to shit by a Gotham orginized crime team for being late on his payments (again) he realizes he needs some real help with his addictions, and a place to stay where he won't be hunted down. He knows it's a long shot, and he'll probably be sent back to Arkham just for him to escape for the 10000th time, but he figures Batman is his only hope for change.

Open to alternative plots, of course.

Steddie or Harringrove (Stranger Things)

Also open to Steve x Eddie x Billy. I usually write Steve, but am able to write all three of these boys.

Drarry or Draco/Ron (Harry Potter)

I prefer to write as Harry or Ron, but can also write Draco. Alternativley I am also open to Harry x Ron.

Loki x Canon Male Character (MCU)

I'm kind of a multishipper when it comes to Loki, so I'm open to most ships involving him and a canon male character from the MCU. I prefer to write against Loki, but am open to writing as him.

Most of my plots surrounding Loki are dependent on which character I'm pairing him against, so add me on discord to brainstorm with me if you're interested!

Cassidy x Hanzo or Genji x Rammatra (Overwatch)

I have most experience writing the shimada brothers, but have also dabbled on Cassidy and Rammatra.

I’ve been an avid roleplayer for around 10 years now and I’m almost always looking for new rp partners to write with, so I thought I would make this post as a general info post about myself as a roleplayer.

Please read these guidelines and other info before sending me a message about roleplaying!

Some of these things will be updated over time.

First, you can call me Moon! I'm 22, and my pronouns are she/they.

Fandoms I'm currently into: Criminal Minds, Overwatch, Arcane, BTS

If your blog is blank/empty, or your age is not listed do not ask me to rp. I have no way of knowing who you are or what your intentions are.

Discord is the only platform I use for roleplaying. Once we add each other I'll make a private server to write in!

I'm currently looking to do 1x1 roleplays. I'm not interested in writing doubles.

I only rp OC x CC as of now. I have female OC’s that I use when roleplaying so please keep this in mind. I’ve had many people contact me before just to find out that they don’t roleplay with OC’s.

I do not roleplay with minors, regardless of the subject of the rp. I will only write with people who are 18+, but 20+ is even better.

I write in third person, present tense. My writing is lit/semi-lit. I'm not a huge stickler when it comes to grammar, but please make sure it's understandable. Run-on sentences, lack of contractions, things like that, will turn me off of a roleplay.

As for length, my replies range from 2-4 paragraphs. I do not write novella style and honestly prefer shorter responses over a wall of text.

I have relatively high availability right now due to being on summer break away from school. I prefer partners that can reply at least a couple times a day. I've had partners that only reply a few times a week and I'm not a fan.

I'm fine with writing nsfw as long as it's not 90% of the plot, and it actually makes sense. I generally write more vanilla content, but things like that can be discussed later.

I like writing with experienced writers but it's not a dealbreaker. As long as your writing and knowledge of the character are solid enough, that works for me.

I live in EST and prefer to have rp partners that are in a nearby time zone. Having partners on the other side of the globe can be really difficult.

Lastly, I love having partners that I can talk to outside of the rp. Sharing headcanons, moodboards, relevant pictures to the rp, playlists/songs, things like that.
