Hi, and welcome :)
On hiatus due to exams
(Scroll down for my masterlist)
Tumblr media
This page is dedicated to reviewing all sorts of anime. I'll be talking about my opinions on characters/anime related topics and controversies too, but that will be less frequent than the reviews. I also often discuss LGBT* representation in anime, especially in regards to queer women
If you have a request, go here or message it to me privately :)
Important:
Before you interact with my content, there are a few things I need to establish. Firstly and most importantly, I do not tolerate hate of any sorts towards anyone, so if you discriminate, get off my page. Secondly, do not interact if you romanticise abuse of any sort. This is a safe space for everyone, and aside from those things I'm very chill.
Please bear in mind that my posts will contain spoilers, because I will talk about the characters/plots of specific anime (I won't give out major spoilers or speak about huge plot twists, it will be done in a similar style to a blurb in a book) so do not interact with my posts if that's a problem. If a certain anime deals with triggering or sensitive topics, I will put a trigger warning before I start talking about the plot and in the tags (if I remember), but let me know if I miss anything - I am always more than happy to correct my mistakes.
I'm happy to interact and answer asks, but spamming and hate will get you blocked
I don't reply to comments due to my glitchy Tumblr, but I read them and appreciate them greatly.
In the interest of keeping my reviews fair and accurate, I will only review anime I have watched at least a season of (please note - where this isn't possible, I will watch all available episodes) but I will not have watched all the anime I talk about until the end (it will be specified when this is the case).
How to navigate my posts
My posts will always contain the following:
Genre: (pretty straightforward, the genre of the anime in the way I interpret it, which could differ from the official one)
Where I watched the anime
A ranking out of 10 on characterization, originality, comfort, addictiveness, art style, setting, plot/storytelling, philosophy (if it made me think/learn something) and consistency (if the quality decreases as the show goes on, with lower ratings meaning it does)
A brief summary of the plot and mentions of the main characters, followed by a discussion on the strong/weak points of the anime
Any extras I think might be useful/interesting.

Okay, I was in the mood for some cheesy schlock, and High School DXD has always been in my periphery, so I watched the first few episodes. Here's my take.
Um, I know this show is of its time, but while I can appreciate a show being utterly unashamed about what it is, why did anyone ever consider the whole boobs jiggling like water balloons thing sexy? Because I honestly just wanna poke them with a pin to see what happens.
Given the state of harems at the time, it really must have been a novelty to have a protagonist who's A: really into it instead of having a panic attack as soon as anything remotely sexual happens, and also B: starts off as a member of someone else's harem and has to work up to getting one of his own. I mean, it's still kind of annoying when he goes full nosebleed mode, but I guess you gotta appreciate a guy who knows what kind of show he's in and has ambition, I guess.
Also, it's way better than the current trend, which is =checks notes= literal slavery!
...
Yeah. That seems to be the current flavor of pandering ecchi shows these days.
Well, I guess if you can't seduce a bunch of stock waifus with the sheer magnetism of your everyman blandness, you can always...buy them?
Look, I know that things like subtlety, class, and dignity are a big ask for a genre this pandering, but come on!
Anyway, back to the show. Um, so far the characters are all pretty stock, but they're likeable enough, and I'm a sucker for found families, so a bunch of demons created from high schoolers all banding together while being hunted by angels works for me. And they've got plenty of seasons to develop. Though glancing over character list, things do look like they get kind of...crowded.
Is it weird that I'm actually digging the plot? And I mean the actual plot, not the other kind. And maybe I'm giving it too much credit because it's an ecchi harem (or maybe I'm not giving it enough because, well, it's an ecchi harem), but I did get invested in the whole rescue of Asia thing. Maybe it's because my expectations weren't all that high, but hey, it worked.
So yeah. Obviously your enjoyment depends on your tolerance for this sort of near-pornographic fanservice. And if that is your thing, it's...all right. It doesn't have the same kind of creative fun with it like, say, To Love Ru, but it definitely has far more substance in basically every other area. And it's not exactly breaking the mold plot or character-wise, but there's way more effort than you usually see from one of these things.
...
Why did I give such an in-depth review to the first story arc of fucking High School DXD?

The "Monthly" update
Doing this cause I got nothing left to do let's go
I'm doing physically well, if you can call "staying on a seat for the entire day well" with just my bines cracking.
The first part of my exams are in a week and I'm pretty sure I'm going to die. Today I just had the motivation to work on subject on 7. Great.
I started and finished Moonknight in 24 hours and I had a blast ! The co-op between Marc and Steven was epic and I had my "what is reality" moment that I had reading the comic. I also restarted Kimetsu No Yaiba because of one youtube video. That's it.
On another note, I realized I didn't touch my tablet since January and ... I feel a bit guilty about it, I don't know if it's my laziness speaking but I want to draw something but I don't know WHAT to draw so I'm kinda stuck ?
I try to take every bit of hapiness in life, but waking up at 10 am is not a way to study, I have to correct this.
Went into the BNHA fandom. I have finished reading everything interesting and looking at my screen thinking : "What now ?"

High School DXD could have been one of the best anime, with a fun storyline and mecanics (angels vs demons but chess) but infortunately they had to rely on fanservice (the bad kind of fanservice because YES there is a good kind) and I hate it for that

So thank to AO3, I am back once again into Persona.
This would be great if I could play them, but like 75% of Persona fans, I don't posses the right console. So I'm stuck between watching let's plays and reading fics (Some of you are into some weird shit and I am not sorry for kinkshaming you). I'm thinking that I really want to write a fic but I know that I don't have the willpower to regularly post (hehe look at Alcandra 2,5 years and still in hiatus). I just hope I will finally be able to write something other than schoolwork because it fucking sucks.

November, December & Half Of January Review
Yup. I do love lying. "I'm gonna try to do this every month". Hah. my *ss.
So, what happened to me during these month ?
For November, nothing. I just thought abiut "how about I make NNN again for the second consecutive year ?" and I finished it. +1 on satisfaction and that led me to my mental state of today. I know that some of my friends from schools are watching my blog (and I see you) and they tried but lost at the 25th. I judge you people. I then proceeded to uninstall reddit from my phone to get that sweet Go. No regrets, this app sucks more online data that youtube. Speaking of this bitch, it is way less entertaining than before. I don't know if it's me or what I'm watching, but I'm starting to get into my *winter mood* (aka I become apathetic toward pretty much everything). It's sucks. I feel like I don't deserve what I have and I hate this. Trying to make less depreciative "jokes" is helping but I just want to let it past me. But I lost myself in time.
December was more eventful. First, my Birthday. For being one year closer to adulthood, I'm scared. Like the world is waiting to devour me whole. But I got Metroid Dread ! Go play this game, I was able to escape the spoilers like Pm:TOK and these hours were 100% worth it. I also got a Gamecube controller and finnaly, I can play with my friend without the joycons. School is ... school is shit. I say it, and I'll say it again and again : school is fucked up. Some classes are just plain boring. Like, why the fuck is philosophical classes mandatory ? WHY ? 5 months, and it will end. I hope. The holydays I got for Christmas and New Year were the hardest. For 3 whole weeks, we didn't have a kitchen. I when you have to feed 7 people, It's Hell. For Christmas, I got myself amiibos.
Please, whoever is listening to us, be the devil or god, make Covid stop. I'm tired, you're tired, and if you're not, then you're dead. I'm happy that my family was not hit by this, but I don't want more suffering.
There things I still have to do. My homework, and study how to drive.
After a quick in and out of the Danganronpa fandom (thanks for the flluff btw) I came back into the Persona fandom (and I never left the Fire Emblem and TLOZ fandoms). I now realize that my entier schedule is based around my time on A03. I have to stop, or lessen my need. Hopefully, i did read what I wanted.
Time to prepare myself, for the future, I guess. Shame. Would have loved to stay a child forever, but sometimes, you have to give up on privileges to gain more.
That should be a wrap of what I wanted to say. I will my another post describing the moveis I saw during this time. ~toodles~

High School DXD, Season One - The Review
It was actually very interesting to finish this. I'd watched it before, but not very recently. So, I was curious about what my opinion was going to be of the show after seeing it again. Fortunately, I enjoyed it as much as I remembered. The dub was really nice and everyone did a good job. The audio quality by Funimation was especially nice. Jamie Marchi in the lead role was great. The story was entertaining, and it definitely sets it up well for season 2. We'll see what happens

My first review!
High School DxD: Almost a perfect show!
For people who have only heard of this show, it may seem like it's only for people who want to see large bare anime boobs. Well, it is for those people, they're absolutely everywhere, and most of episode 1 leads you to believe that's all it is; a perverted guy who wants to see boobs.
A few episodes in though, and you'll not only look past the nudity, you'll enjoy every second of it's brilliant story, and love every character. Every character is brilliant, and the writer has obviously put great thought into making these characters more than one-dimensional eye candy.
My only criticism is of the main character, the aforementioned perv. He does grow as a character, but even so, his character is primarily still his perverted self. This side of him adds very little to the story and is only there as an excuse for the nudity. Without this the show would be perfect.
So overall, 9/10!

My favourite anime women- a miscellaneous list
Hey :) so, this is the first part of a small series I’m working on about anime women I personally really admire ! Each post will contain about 10 women as well as my reasons for loving them (I’ll still be posting reviews).
Spoilers for seven deadly sins, sailor moon, high school dxd, madoka magica, MHA, and Violet Evergarden and tw for murder, forced marriage, suicide, and severe injuries
Part 2
Ami Mizuno (Sailor moon)
Tumblr media
“The future is something that you build by yourself,” - Ami Mizuno
Out of the sailor guardians, I'd say Ami was without a doubt my favourite. Not only does she have water powers and plays a valuable support role in battle, but she's instrumental when it comes to the brains behind the team and their tactics. Logical, calculating, and intelligent, she always knows the right answer, and this is also because of all the intel she gathers to keep informed. As well as being a crucial part of the team, she studies really hard, and her diligence and intellect make her the top student at her school. With ambitions of becoming a doctor, Ami has a passion for problem solving and academics, so she can often be seen reading. I adored how knowledgeable and dedicated she is, and I respected her hard work, as well as her high position as a student. Both, as well as the fact that she's the brains behind the sailor guardians, made her really inspirational to me.
2. Rei Hino (Sailor moon)
Tumblr media
(Please bear in mind I am talking about the manga version of Rei, who is quite different from the anime Rei)
“I don’t care if it’s a ghost or not, if a guy falls for seduction it’s his own damned fault,”
Rei is powerful and strong, with her spiritual powers leading to a formidable intuition and almost being able to sense the future. As well as that, Rei is stubborn, hot-tempered and she has a bit of a sharp tongue. This means she doesn't take crap from anyone and will always point out issues with brutal honesty, as well as pursuing things in the way she deems correct. This can be seen in her refusal to marry due to lack of interest- Rei wants to become a high priestess for her grandfather's shrine, and is very dedicated to this. She later shows the same passion and dedication to protecting sailor moon. I loved her conviction, strength and independence, as well as her down to earth and blunt attitude.
3. Makoto Kino (Sailor moon)
Tumblr media
“It’s kind of sad that you think love is something you should take,”
As well as being incredibly physically strong and athletic, Makoto is a very protective friend who is always looking out for others and helping them. Despite not having had an easy life, with both her parents dying, she continues to persevere and face the challenges of being a sailor guardian. Makoto also combines all her protective strength, diligence and determination with a softer and more stereotypically feminine side- she loves gardening and baking, and is very proficient at both. This is also seen in her romantic and sentimental personality. However, in the case of Makoto, her femininity is presented as a strength, not something weak or inferior, especially when combined with all her other strengths.
4. Setsuna Meio (Sailor moon)
Tumblr media
“Watching over someone from afar is a kind of love, too,”
Setsuna is knowledgeable and logical- she studies from afar and tries to figure out the enemy and their intention. On earth, she had a career as a nurse and later as a researcher at a university, which both illustrate her academic and intellectual prowess. As well as that, despite appearing slightly aloof and cold, Setsuna cares a great deal for all her teammates and she helped raise Hotaru when she was reborn as a baby. As well as keeping watch over everyone, Setsuna was also one of the few friends Chibi Usa had growing up- she was often lonely, and, due to her kind, caring nature. Setsuna would comfort her.
5. Merlin (Seven deadly sins)
Tumblr media
“A human ceases to be once they stop thinking,”
Merlin is the most powerful mage in Britannia and one of the seven deadly sins- her magical strength is unrivalled, with the power of her treasure (which she can be seen using in spells) being versatile and almost infinite. Despite being playful, kind hearted and cheerful most of the time, Merlin is mysterious and serious, with a level headed and calm nature- she never loses her composure. Above all else, Merlin values knowledge- she is always running experiments or reading in an attempt to discover as much as she can about the world. Merlin is often depicted as confident and independent throughout the series, standing up for herself and being more than capable of fighting in battles. Her power and intellect, as well as her cool, confident, level headed, and yet kind personality make her an icon in my eyes.
6. Rias Gremory (high school dxd)
Tumblr media
“We haven’t lost yet ! You lose when you’ve given up,” - Rias Gremory
Those who have already read my post on Rias will be familiar with my take on her, but I think she was worth including here for quite a few, often forgotten, reasons. The show often oversexualises her and sometimes portrays her as being nothing but Issei’s love interest, but that is only one side of the coin. Obviously, her powers are strong and she’s phenomenal on the battlefield, which is how she’s earned the nickname “princess of ruin,”. Rias is also a calm, level headed and diligent leader who greatly cares for her servants, stopping at nothing to ensure their safety and getting revenge if they are insulted. She also helps them to grow and develop as fighters, with the training camp before her rating game against Phoenix being an example. As well as that, Rias is also logical, calculating and intelligent- from her victories in chess, to her skill in the classroom, to her strategizing before battle, it’s clear she has a good brain. On top of all that, Rias is independent, determined and hard-working- when she was offered the chance to participate in a rating game against Phoenix to win her right to not be forced to marry him, Rias accepted without hesitation, despite having no experience and her opponent being one of the best. She worked her team really hard and even stopped sleeping to prepare as much as she could, and fought with dignity and determination until the very end, all for her independence and the right to make her own decisions.
7. Kyoko Sakura (Madoka Magica)
Tumblr media
“You know what I think ? You take what you’ve got and figure out how to get something out of it,” - Kyoko Sakura
This is another one that might seems slightly unusual. Kyoko was introduced to the series as a greedy, selfish and unsympathetic girl, showing no remorse for the humans who got killed by witches and laughing at Sayaka for her “naïve,” belief in justice. However, when we later find out more about her, it becomes abundantly clearthat the true Kyoko is someone kind and selfless. She first became a magical girl to save her family from poverty and make her father happy, but, after her wish went horribly wrong, Kyoko’s father ended up spiralling into despair and killing himself as well as her whole family. This led Kyoko to believe that magic should only be used for one’s own gain, and using it for anything else only leads to pain. She explained all this to Sayaka after their fight, trying to save her from making the same mistakes she did so she wouldn’t have to suffer, which she wouldn’t have bothered with if she was truly selfish. In fact, Kyoko saw a mirror of her past self in Sayaka- someone selfless with a firm belief in justice. Sayaka dismissed Kyoko’s warning, which gradually led her down a path of despair, until she herself became a witch. Just before this happened, Kyoko sought her out to check up on her, trying to get her to listen one last time to protect her from the suffering. Even after Sayaka became a witch, Kyoko reached out to Madoka and told her about her plan to see if Sayaka could be converted to a human again. When this failed, Kyoko gave up on her own life so that Madoka and Homura can get away safely and so Sayaka’s witch form could be eliminated as a threat. The true Kyoko was someone strong and selfless, who in the end, sacrificed everything for the sake of trying to save someone else, and only acted based on good intentions.
8. Momo Yaoyorozu (MHA)
Tumblr media
“We should always start with the basics to develop the depth of learning. We must strive to devote ourselves wholeheartedly,”- Momo Yaoyorozu
Momo is easily the smartest, most knowledgeable person in class 1-A. Not only does she always have a strategy and an answer ready, she also scored the highest on the mid terms and was one of three students who got in based on recommendations. The nature of her quirk means she needs to study a lot and be a good tactician- she can make anything from the lipids in her body, as long as she understands that object’s chemical composition. This power is useful and versatile, and Momo uses it with increasing efficacy and confidence as the anime progresses. She was determined to improve after her confidence took a nosedive due to her loss at the sports festival, and this led to her making considerable progress and being instrumental in later victories for team exercises. Momo is also happy to help her classmates with their studies- she was thrilled to host a study session all together before the exams, which shows that, despite a cool exterior, she’s sweet and selfless.
9. Kyoka Jiro (MHA)
Tumblr media
“If you do this, we just might win. But there’s no time to hesitate,” - Kyoka Jiro
As well as wanting to become a hero, Jiro is passionate about music and can play many instruments. This is even reflected in the way she dresses and decorated her dorm- her style has a dark, punk vibe to it, which I very much respected. Because of this passion of hers, she was crucial to class 1-A’s concert for the school culture festival- she pretty much led and managed everything due to her vast knowledge of music. This also helped her realise that she didn’t really have to choose between being a hero and music, two things she’s very dedicated to and works hard at- she could, in some sense, have both.
10. Violet Evergarden (Violet Evergarden)
Tumblr media
“The worst battle is between what you know and what you feel,” - Violet Evergarden
Violet was an orphaned child taken in by an army Major. Because of her skill on the battlefield and the way she could take out several soldiers with very little problem, she quickly made a name for herself. In the last battle of the war, things got very sour for Violet and the Major, who was on the verge of dying, as the enemies kept firing. No matter what was happening, Violet always protected him courageously. Her determination to protect him and her selflessness didn’t save him, and Violet lost both arms in the battle, so she had to be hospitalised and provided with metal prosthetics. After her hospitalisation, Violet starts to work as an auto memory doll for the Major’s friend’s company. She is scarred from the war and doesn’t understand emotions due to that, so in an effort to figure out the meaning of “I love you,”, she begins writing letters for others to express their feelings in eloquent ways. At first, despite excelling at English, Violet is unable to transform the feelings she doesn’t understand into words. However, as the show goes on, she gets progressively better at it and is faced with many different emotions, many of which stem from difficult situations. Violet quickly adapts and deals with these, becoming one of the best auto memory dolls in the company, and gaining an understanding of the emotions she previously lacked. Violet’s talent, her intellect and her determination, as well as her loyalty to her love and her prowess on the battlefield, all made me admire her when I watched the anime, but on top of all that was her increased understanding of the world and her hard work. When the war was threatening to start up again, Violet nobly risked her life to fight for peace.

Made a New Youtube channel
So after almost a year of arguing with youtube's moderators i finally just decided to make a new channel.
I would really appreciate it if my followers on tumblr would also subscribe to my channel and view / like some of my video. I've got a bunch of AMVs I've uploaded and plan to upload more.
I'm also gonna tag some of the shows I've made videos for so more people see this post.

Tumblr media
The controversial chick flick of 2016, GhostBusters: Who You Gonna Call (that's the full name, it's on the end credits, but the beginning title only says GhostBusters for some reason, and it's also called GhostBusters: Answer the call... Let's just stick with Ghostbusters!
IMPORTANT NOTE: I will NOT be comparing this film to the original two films. These films are different entities and will be treated as such.
The Story
The story is about a University Science Teacher who sees that an old friend of hers has published a book they wrote in highschool which theories the existence of ghosts.
The first part of the film (all of the ghostbusters being established and meeting each other) is definitely the weakest part of the film. Some of the jokes are really cringeworthy and the beginning is definitely rushed.
But once you get past that first hurdle, you are in for a real treat! The story isn't a very serious one, in fact, it never takes itself too seriously. It knows it's dumb and it ravishes in its silliness. Even some of the special effects look cheap and silly! It emphases on the less serious tone of the film and it somehow works!
Watching this film really reminds me of High School DxD. The first couple of episodes that set up the plot isn't that great, but once you are over that hurdle, you will enjoy it's silly, dumb ride.
The Characters
The biggest reason why the first third of the film is so weak is because the characters on their own are really dull, boring and unoriginal. But once they are together, the interactions of the characters are so funny! The best one out of the lot of them is the teacher's fat friend. She is so nuts and over the top that it's hard not to laugh when she's in a skit.
The inventor really reminds me of Haruko Haruhara from the anime FLCL (why does this film make me keep thinking of anime?) just by how crazy and punkish she is. I wish she had more jokes than the over the top gadgets, but she isn't a bad character.
The side characters are quite weak. The only side character I really remember is the secretary for the Ghostbusters just by how much I can relate to him. It is implied by his actions that he does seem to have a mild form of Aspergers Syndrome and it doesn't put any stereotype of the disability in any way. Plus, he is the most funny character in the film (other than the teacher's fat friend).
The Special Effects
The special effects don't look that great, but when it's a silly film like this, really nice CGI won't suit the film in the least. But the special effects suits the tone of the film well.
I he film also givens some nods to the fans of the original films such as mentioning Zuul in the post credit scene (if you stick around to see all of the end credits at the cinema), and others which I won't give away.
Some of the acting from the extras is terrible (such as the tour guide at the beginning of the film) and you can tell that they didn't know what they were doing.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this is a great movie, but it has some serious flaws that might put some people off from watching the film (plus, the trailer has had a lot of dislikes on YouTube) and many reviewers who were fans of the original bashed this film to the point of being to biased. Even though I enjoyed this film, I do understand why some people don't like it. But don't treat it as the worst film ever made. I can assure you that there is a lot worse out there.
I think the main reason why this film is hated by the fans of the originals is because the original films were very manly films, while a this film is more of a chick flick. I'm not saying all fans of the original hate this film. But this film is definitely targeted to the female audience and it knows how to make females laugh!
So don't end up cursing the creators of the film when you become a ghost, they clearly knew that they were taking a lot of risks with this film, and in this reviewer's opinion, it paid off. So, please spare him so I don't have to spend 100s of pounds on a phone bill from New York City to call...
You know who I'm gonna call!

Okay, review time. But instead of reviewing something current and universally agreed to be great like the LA One Piece (which, agreed, is pretty great), I'm instead going to review the second season of High School DXD. Because honestly, I actually find dissecting something like that to be more interesting.
Now, while I did like it, I feel that it was more structurally flawed than the first season. At least, I had more notes for this one, little things that kind of bugged me. But more on that later. Let's start with the stuff that I liked!
Loved how much focus Kiba got. In these kinds of shows, the secondary male characters very quickly get left behind, so the love given to Best Boy was great. And I loved his backstory and how it paid off. Mostly.
Honestly, I was a little uncertain about Gasper when he was first introduced, as I was worried that we would have another Zenitsu on our hands, but fortunately his coward moments came off as more sympathetic than annoying, he had other things going on for him that were actually kind of endearing, and him acting as Issei's starry-eyed apprentice was a hoot. So yeah. Gasper was a welcome addition to the cast.
I really like how much attention is given to Rias's insecurities. Given her upbringing it only makes sense, and despite being at the top of the food chain she feels threatened by her own peerage. It's an interesting way to take things.
That twist about God genuinely took me by surprise. Like, wow, to pull something like that in a show like this is pretty damn interesting. And it makes for a great explanation for how things are between the three factions.
Azazel is a true chad.
Things I was kinda mid about:
Xenovia and Irina are fine in concept, but I feel more could have been done with them. Xenovia becomes a Devil, has her big scene that everyone knows her for, and then immediately fades into the background. And honestly, more could have been done with Irina being Issei's childhood friend. As it is, she's more of a less endearing Asia. Hope more gets done with them.
Things I didn't care for:
Structurally, it was kind of all over the place. At first it was building a lot of nice momentum with the renegade priest and the Excaliburs, but then Kokabiel shows up out of nowhere as the real boss fight. I know they wanted to build up to the peace talk, but that whole business was awkward.
I don't even remember who those human mages and that Fallen Angel lady who disrupted the peace talk were and what their deal was. And Goku of all people showing up to just end the fight. At least Issei got a shonen rival out of it.
Was there a point to Serafal? Like, at all?
Koneko got done so dirty. Did she even have anything to do other than bully Gasper?
Who the hell was in charge of the eye catches? There's a simple formula! You show a slightly spicy pic of whatever character the episode is about before the commercial break, and follow it up with a really spicy pic of the same character on the return! But they were all over the place with the random characters!
So yeah, there was a lot of good stuff, but also more evident flaws and sloppiness.
Well, season 3 is the one that pissed everyone off. Let's give it a roll!
...
Also, why the hell haven't Issei and Asia fucked?!

What’s your opinion on hs dxd and how would you rate it on a scale of 1-10?
Okay, full honesty here, I really like it. I'd probably say around 8/10.
It's not deep or groundbreaking, but it's fun. Yes it has copious amounts of fanservice and nudity, but that's absolutely not all that it's about in my opinion. It's funny, has great and cool characters that are pretty different from any other anime's, a really unique plot and premise to the show, and there are actually some pretty moving parts for me.
I can count three scenes off the top of my head that actually made me rather upset or teary eyed. Issei Hyoudou, while yes he is an idiotic super pervert half the time, is also pretty cool.
So I think it's worth a shot, as long as you're fine with nudity and over the top fanservice. It's definitely an iconic and memorable anime in my opinion.
