Hello! 👋 Your work is amazing! I was wondering, how do you think the LOTR characters would interact with their companion/crush who has a loyal dog/wolf companion? How would the dog react to the characters? I just like the dynamics between people and animals. Take care!

LoTR Characters + Your Loyal Canine Companion

Aragorn

✧ As someone who bonds with animals, he understands immediately and feels a sort of trust toward you because you respect other living things.

✧ He approaches the beast with great caution, near-reverence, offering a tentative hand. It is your turn to smile as your companion warily accepts, butting its head into his palm as he whispers gentle encouragement in Elvish.

✧ With your permission, takes it out tracking, curious to compare skills and see how the beasts of the world are truly made for their roles in a way even the greatest ranger cannot be.

✧ He sees firsthand the way you trust each other, move in battle as if carefully choreographed, and remarks how truly lucky you are.

✧ It moves your heart to see Aragorn’s grin one night when your companion practically knocks him off his seat by the fire.

Legolas

✧ You can see the surprise coloring his eyes before he actually speaks, the way they trace your motions and the furrow of his brows.

✧ Fearing it is judgment, you cross your arms and bite out a “Don’t tell me- an elf who’s not one for beasts?” Calm as anything, he replies in a tone dripping with wonder that he has never seen one so in tune with the world of nature, and at that, in the face of his satisfied smile, your jaw and tone drop.

✧ Naturally, your guardian is completely calm in Legolas’s presence, regarding him with a politely cocked head and an inquiring gaze sated by the elf’s hand upon its head.

✧ Legolas sees the way it curls up in the dirt at your feet, shakes his head and takes one of his blankets, wrapping the fabric into a nest for it.

✧ You catch him having a race with it one day, claiming with great merriment that the dwarf bet him he was slower than the animal.

Boromir

✧ Chuckles deeply at the sight of who trails you, shaking his head in wonder. “Don’t you two make quite a pair?”

✧ Asks right away if he can take the beast hunting, saying he envies you such a great hound.

✧ This leads to Boromir sitting at your side and recounting grand tales of Gondor’s best hunts, idly stroking the beast at your feet as he reminisces.

✧ He loves tossing sticks for the dog/wolf, amusement and peace clear upon his face as he opens his arms to the returning canine. “I could get used to this.”

✧ Your companion serves as an avenue for him to admit his feelings, starting with telling you your home must truly be a happy place with such a beast in it.

Gimli

✧ You probably meet because your companion goes bounding up to the dwarf at once, all but knocking him over. “Control your dog or I shall have to!” We all know, of course, that he is all talk.

✧ It surprises you how friendly your guardian is with a stranger, but his merry chuckles are quite infectious, bringing a smile to your lips.

✧ When you begin your travels together Gimli builds up a teasing friendship with the canine, playfully arguing with it as it noses against him for the meat he is eating and he shoos it, only to sneak a bit down anyway.

✧ Can be a bit rough with play sometimes, but you know your beloved beast can handle it, especially if it’s quite large, then they are evenly matched! Sometimes they all but wrestle in the dirt, tug-of-war somehow having turned much more silly and personal.

✧ Knows your companion’s name, but still always calls it Laddie/Lassie.

Frodo

✧ “How did you come by this creature?” Frodo is the only fellowship member to ask questions rather than whisper to themselves, and you appreciate that, telling him the story one night.

✧ Since then, the young hobbit offers plenty of secret little smiles your way and you ask for stories of his people in return.

✧ When the weight of the ring gets heavier Frodo finds himself curling his fingers through the fur at the top of the beast’s head idly, bringing him that much closer to reality’s solid ground.

✧ He even finds a special form of companionship in the moments anxiety overtakes him, your canine friend sensing his unease and draping itself upon him like a warm, heavy blanket.

✧ Grateful is an understatement. Frodo tells you in a soft voice that he doesn’t know what he would do without you two by his side.

Sam

✧ Before he even has a chance to get defensive your companion melts for him, warming up to the hobbit like none you’ve ever seen.

✧ The way they take to each other surprises you, Sam keeping aside bones from the broth to give it and your guardian taking circling Sam just as seriously as with you.

✧ Maybe it has something to do with the way Sam looks at you, the awe glistening in his eyes and the way he says your name like he isn’t worthy of it, though of course he’s the most worthy of the whole lot.

✧ Uses your companion as a sort of proxy to say things to you he’s too shy to say to your face, telling it how amazing its owner is and the like.

✧ Refers to the wolf/dog as Miss or Mister partially because he thinks it’s funny and usually says it in a jolly voice but also so you know how much respect he has for it.

Merry

✧ “Well, I haven’t seen a dog this big since outside that bar in Bree! What’s his name?”

✧ Sees your companion as a pet, which though not entirely wrong creates a more playful dynamic between them once they both understand neither is a threat.

✧ Merry can’t help bursting into laughter the day he knocks you over in a sparring match, only to get peeled off you by a massive wall of canine. Keeps laughing once they both unfreeze and he gets licked, trying to roll back up and away from the new attack. “I was going to ask if he knew any tricks, but no need now it seems!”

✧ Retaliates by finding the ‘sweet spot’, scratching until your canine friend kicks his legs like they do!

✧ Opens up to you one day, remarking how he wishes to be half of such an in-tune duo in battles and in life. Not that he doesn’t love his cousin, but he craves a different kind of companionship, one you assure him he could have with a fond smile on your lips.

Pippin

✧ Peers at you with the round eyes of complete shock, having seen nothing like you in his Shire days.

✧ Keeps the beast plenty occupied letting it run after him, tearing giddily around the camp once he sees you keep friendly company.

✧ He makes the mistake one night of extending his spoon for your guardian to sniff, only for his morsel to be stolen. Pippin cannot help a laugh, though, and a glittering look your way. “He likes to eat as much as I do, I see!”

✧ You cannot help softening at the fire one night upon looking over and seeing that the hobbit has fallen asleep, his head resting gently against the soft side of your wolf/dog.

✧ Definitely sees your companion as a way to get to know you better, asking plenty of questions and getting close to the canine in hopes to earn a place by your side, too.

Faramir

✧ Lives by a sort of silent oath to question but accept. Thus he asks why you travel with a beast, but listens to your reasons with firm nods and the beginning flicker of an understanding smile.

✧ Offers his hand very tentatively, having had his touch rejected or struck against many a time, but when the dog/wolf nuzzles against him he looks at you with joyous pride that melts you.

✧ That little interaction has you wanting to bring the two of them together, some inexplicable invisible string tugging you closer to Faramir by the heart.

✧ You let him feed your companion, indulge in a game of fetch, and in between it all make some conversation yourself. Amazing, really, all the knowledge Faramir has and he is equally impressed with your prowess in nature.

✧ Faramir always tells you how you remind him of great heroes from the stories he grew up reading with his brother.

Eomer

✧ “Who is this,” he teases you with a smirk, “your mount?” “No,” you shoot back, “though he is sure leagues more loyal than yours.”

✧ Challenges you to a competition, a challenge of hunting between him and his horse and you and your beloved canine. You win, and he accepts, offering pats to its head.

✧ Ever the tease, Eomer dubs you the Lord/Lady of Dogs, but you know by his smile and the glint in his eyes that he means it with affection.

✧ Invites you on patrols of his land’s borders, saying he trusts you both to get the job done.

✧ Suddenly he keeps talking about taking in a dog of his own so yours has a sibling, more and more thoughts along that vein invading his mind…

Haldir

✧ Fears your companion will slow the party’s orc tracking down, especially as many members utilize the cover of the trees.

✧ Allows you to do as you please, though, his soft spot evident in the way he shuts down any and all whispers about the group’s most unique member.

✧ You can see it, too, hear it in the way they speak warily of your fellow hunter, but you will not be parted. Instead you prove them wrong as your fierce defender takes down several of your quarry on its own.

✧ Haldir himself commends you both, offering a tentative hand to your newly shared ally and smiling up at you as it is accepted. Something different flashes in his eyes alongside the almost shy look.

✧ “Truly, how much less exciting my life would be without you in it…”

Eowyn

✧ Astounded by the way you two communicate, it is as if you truly do understand each other. She questions it, asks how this can be.

✧ Takes you by the horses, curious if your harmony spreads. She smiles at the way you interact with them, but it is clear just from that that the bond with your companion has been forged over years.

✧ Absolutely ready to fight to get a suit of armor made for your canine friend complete with a helmet and all of Rohan’s motifs of course!

✧ “After all, we much protect such beauty, no?”

✧ Playfully dangles things in the air, giggling whenever your canine guardian leaps for them and smiling widely at you.

Arwen

✧ Kneels down and whispers something in Elvish to it the moment she sees trepidation in its eyes, calming your companion immediately.

✧ It fosters a sense of trust between you and the woman, whose side you kneel to, tangling a hand in your canine's fur next to her.

✧ She is reminded, of course, of Huan, Oromë’s most famous hound and wonders if your beast could even be his descendant.

✧ Fair and just, Arwen quickly falls into the circle of people your furry comrade protects, chuckling deeply when it growls at the next set of people joining you as visitors to Rivendell. She speaks gently to it, asking it with a teasing tone how it still feels such unease in such a place.

✧ She knows you feel like an outsider sometimes and works to correct that, constantly telling you you have such strength and a place in the world- even Rivendell with her if you so desire.

Elrond

✧ Looks taken aback by the large form that follows you, brows raising at the creature entering his home. He hesitates, makes to hold it back, but when you insist you both go or neither the elf somewhat grudgingly nods.

✧ Used to odd patrons as he is, Elrond reminds himself that he welcomes all and asks politely for the beast’s name.

✧ Studies up on its origin if he is not already aware, trying to determine if this is an ordinary wolf/dog or one with any ties to the land’s magic.

✧ He sees your companion charge into battle at your defense, risking its own life, and with a nod of pride rushes in to save it from its own sacrifice.

✧ From then on Elrond regards your guardian as an equal of sorts, stroking its head in passing and speaking to it as if it could understand him.

Lindir

✧ Goes to comical lengths to step away from and avoid the massive canine at your heels when first he meets it.

✧ Possibly even asks if it’s safe, has fleas, etc. but immediately retracts and offers pats when you glare at him for it. Finds himself smiling despite himself at the feeling of the soft fur beneath his hand.

✧ You’ve seen dogs that howl as their owners play instruments? Then you know exactly what it is I am saying. The kick Lindir gets out of this is astounding; he can’t even be annoyed.

✧ Jokes that you’re hiding a composer under the guise of a hunter.

✧ Takes to the idea of further training, seeing how such an intelligent creature could learn to open doors and fetch items, considering such a use for helping Rivendell’s infirmary patients and those struggling with loss of motion or senses.

Continuity soup Gladiator AU

Miner to gladiators backstory but less bugnuts Megatron and which ever version of Optimus who was a dockworker that the Matrix fell on being forced to fight against each other as gladiators.

The two got captured because they were brawling buying time for their respective factions.

They're literally the only two cybertronians in the pits and they aren't alowed to kill each other in and out of the ring. They're a big money making draw. Damn inhibition chips. They're cooped up togeather and they're just floundering because they're only alowed to damage eachother in the ring duringbtheir fights. Sometimes they're sent out as a tag team.

Megatron grumpily teaching OP how to make a fight look good. Or how to fix a fight. Convincingly pretend an opponent has you on the ropes to give the audience their money's worth. Cause if his partner frags up he's in the same soup. And more importantly on the same quarter rations. You have plenty of other gladiators watching the lessons and practically taking notes. It's a gods damned master class.

OP's finding this helish and Megatron's finding this much less shitty that the Pits of Koan. Like a gladiatorial equivalent of a vacation if it wasn't for the forced proximity with Optimus.

Optimus finaly loses it at Megatron because how can he stand the inhibition chips. Megatron just matter-of-factly tells him compared to the slave coding he onlined with in the mines this is nothing. It's not in his processor. Just an inconvenient tazer. Optimus is so confused. This not the data he had on the Teleran. Finding out that the "drones" were 'Cons hacked to fight early in the war were actually sentients given antivirus to root out malicious code has OP in a tailspin. Megatron going from taunting and cynical to being generally shocked OP didn't actually know. Optimus is practically blue screened, while Megatron is laughing hystericaly that Optimus is a true believer in the "Freedom is the Right of All Sentient Beings," shtick. And Optimus dose have a patern that's been consistant since the begining: crackdown hard on corruption as soon as he realizes it's there. This is the point where Megatron decides to seduce Optimus to the Deceptacons and Optimus's "I Can Fix Him"-itis kicks in. It starts platonic but soon their fights have even more weird sexual tension. And philosophical debates instead of weird taunts.

The bookies are taking bets on whether or not cybertronians can bump uglies to make babies.

Meanwhile both factions are trying to get their leaders back. By the time they work out where they are they show up to discover OP and Megatron have secussfuly lead a slave revolt, escaped the planet and are co-captians of a ship full crewed by gladiators and their dependents.

Ooooo on the backstories and them being got because they were so focused on each other and ended up playing the distraction

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING, in this case they're worth too much to have one of them die during a fight or otherwise.

I've been thinking a lot about gladiators teaching each other how to rig some fights, owo yes???

Interesting dichotomy for Optimus and Megatron, Megs is not only used to this sort of rhythm but finds it easier than the first time, while Optimus feels like he's being pulled under the waves by it

The shock Optimus got is a-m-a-z-i-n-g, oh dude have you been living in blissful ignorance to the horrors of Cybertron

Because yeah

Optimus here is 100% here for freedom of all sentient beings, and this most certainly includes decepticons

I feel like this was a situation where Prowl, Jazz, and Ultra Magnus were somewhat forced to work with Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave to track them down because yes please the respective high commands working together without their leaders

Of all the things that could've happened at least some mecha anticipated that those two would figure their way out of it

They just didn't anticipate the tagalongs

Striker x Small!Meek!Fem!Reader || Drabble

I LOVED HIM SO MUCH in the new episode.

Plot: Striker fails her so Stella shows him why he should be afraid of displeasing her- by leaving you a bloody and beaten mess on his doorstep.

Warnings: You are really badly brutalised and Striker has this weird combination of love and degradation for you that's ... interesting... 🤔🤔😅

God fucken damnit. You weren't made for this kinda bullshit. How'd that bitch even know about ya?

As Striker lifted your very delicate, shaking body up off the filthy ground, just about melting at the feel of your fragile little fingers pinch at the front of his shirt and the sound of your little nose sniffling against his chest as you cry. This is not right. You don't go fucking up weaklings for no reason.

"St- Striker- "

"I know, darlin'. I'll clean ya up- you'll be right as rain in no time."

You continue to sniffle, giving a bubbly little sob, and its so pathetic his black heart actually feels lie its broken. What the hell? ... That royal cunt better watch her back- next time he sees her, she wont be makin' it out alive. Grimacing, Striker walks with you in his arms over to an old wooden bench. The wood is rough as hell but its the only one he trusts to not snap under you, and surely a few lil splinters aint gonna make no difference with what you're already dealin' with.

He leaves you there cold and alone for a few minutes as he goes in search of his first aid kit- he doesn't need it all that often, so he's not too sure where he left it last. By the time he finds it, dusty and unused, buried under some fallen rubble, you've managed to get your own shoes off. Which makes him give you the smallest of grins, setting the first aid kit on the table beside you. "There you go, little girl. Good job. Can you wriggle on outta yer pants for me, too? Gotta get to those cuts... "

Striker's luminescent, snake-like eyes focus on your little form as you try; Sticking your thumbs under the waistband of your jeans and shifting, pulling, trying. You fail, and you're just a pitiful little bunny covered in tears and blood, and Striker's frown just gets worse.

How... how could someone do this to you?? You were pathetic before, sure,.. but now you're fucken tragic. Jesus fucking christ.

Its gonna be hard to let you outta his sight, after this.

When you give up, and just cover your face with your hands and start to cry again - thinking he's mad at you, - , he gives a relenting sigh. "... C'mere, tough girl, I'll help ya." With a hiss, Striker pulls out his blade and slices the garment off you. Then he flicks the first aid kit open, one hand on your bare thigh and his warm body nice and close to yours, as he methodically begins to care for and wrap up your bloody gashes, slashes and grazes.

He starts with your legs, wrapping up your sweet thighs completely in gauze before kneeling down and doing the same to your dainty calves. When he's done with that he grunts, and gets back up to his full height - he hangs over you even as you sit on the table.

When he cups your face in one of his hands to clean away the tears and hold you still so that he can stitch up a particularly nasty slice Stella gave you when you started to cry, he essentially engulfs both your cheeks. When he's finished with your face, he pauses- his eyes gaze down at your lips- before letting you go with a scowl and picking up your hands one at a time.

The left arm is worse, already turning a disgusting purple colour and practically broken so he carefully sets that one up in a sling before winding gauze around the other; Gently rubbing circles of disinfectant cream into your palm when he notices a gash there with dirt spread into it. "Hmmmm... " He hums lowly at it, frowning deeply and glaring as his thumb works away at the area- soothing your hurt but making you nervous.

"I- I... I'm so sorry, Striker... I'm- I'm... so weak... " You whimper meekly, eyes still full of tears.

"Yeah... " He sighs. "But yer my weakling, so... I shoulda been there to protect ya."

Sniffing wetly, you immediately shake your head- a little, spark of defiance that ordinarily, Striker woulda found fucken adorable. You? Thinkin' you can stand up to him?? Sweetheart, no... "No, its not your- "

"It is... " Pinching the bridge of his nose and letting go of your hand, Striker lets out a long suffering groan... frustrated and pissed but trying really really hard to compose himself. To not scare you. "... but you know what? That's okay."

"... What?"

"I got a fix, for this. Its alright."

"What's your... what's your fix?"

Here he lets go of his face and looks down at you again, a look on his face that isn't warm but isn't quite cold either; Its curious, and makes something heat up inside you- deep in the pit of your stomach. "... I'll move ya in here with me tomorrow. That way, I can keep an eye on ya." Cuz clearly you cant take care of yourself.

Fuck- Shit- He knew that, already. He knew that from the moment he first saw you, and he still let this happen.

Seeing him beating himself up again inside his head, you start to feel bad. And not because you're physically aching, and stinging, and torn to pieces- because your cowboy is upset. You hate it. If only you were tougher... then you could keep yourself safe and he wouldn't have to be so hard on himself!...

... If only.

After a few moments of silence between you two, you raise your creamy hand to his face; grazing your knuckles softly against him for a second- before second-guessing yourself, becoming embarrassed, and attempting to retreat again quickly.

He catches your hand though in his much bigger, tougher, capable one and holds onto it. "... That's nice, darlin'. Y'can do that anytime."

"Okay... I- I will."

"For now, though... " This wins your full attention, causing you to look at him again; Eyes wide and innocent. There's a tired look on his face, but he gives you a devastating smirk. "Lets go to bed, sweet thing. Y'need your rest, after a beating like that... and I don't wanna let ya go for a little while."

"Th- That sounds good."

"Yep." With that, he gently scoops you up again and takes you away to his bed. As he lies you down, he gives you a kiss on the cheek, before laying down himself.

Lol ok!! Hmmmm let's see 🤔

This advice is kind of lame, and people say it a lot, but I feel like it's not explained as well as it could be most of the time. And it is really true.

Use reference! Using reference is the BEST way to make a drawing you can feel good with. But this is most applicable and extremely prevalent if you have a vision in your head of something you want to make, and aren't sure how to put it on paper.

Most people (most people = me) might start drawing something they have in their head, and shortly after starting it, realize that it looks really strange and incorrect. And at that point you could just scrap it, or you can stop and think about what references you need to gather to make it work. Most of my references in cases like these are pictures of me, or my sister, or pictures of me and my sister. Either I pose or she does, and one of us will take the picture at the appropriate angle.

Recent examples: I took reference pictures for the dib eating car peanut butter thing, for the one with him opening the jar (the "pop!" drawing). That was me in front of the steering wheel. I took one for dib holding the mtn dew poop bottle. Uhhhh I took one for the scentofsteam commission I posted recently, the shading on the coat sleeve (because when my shading is really detailed, I can't get away with making up shapes like I normally do). Google image reference for zim holding gir like a baby. That tarzan commission - I had my mom hold a couple random objects in place of the rock/spear. I can go on.

(hope I don't sound like I'm tooting my own horn here - I'm not) I found that as you get better at drawing, you need to use more references. Because your "Eye" is getting better, and you need to make things look Correct to keep up with other aspects of your art that's improving. I've found that this is true in my case, at least.

The caveat: you'll want to do this more in cases where you have a big illustration in mind, and you want it to look good. If you're just doodling: don't stress it! I've been drawing more cartoony in my sketchbook, and drawing whatever comes to me, and haven't felt the need for references. But references will save you when you have a specific idea that you want to get across effectively.

A lot of sweet romance stuff. These two do have a very warm chemistry together. It already feels like they've known each other awhile. As the viewer you do believe that they like each other very much.

Dead Friend Forever ep 2

Let's goooooooo!

Documenting my observations and speculations because of the ongoing mystery. (small comments in brackets are things I've gone back to after the ep ended).

I do like this opening music. It sets the scene well for this being a spooky mystery but also speaks of the youthful innocence - and then the breaking of it - of the friend group.

I know not every character needs to be colour-coded but they all seem to have a distinctive style, so for my satisfaction here's my interpretation: White is either blue or has coloured edging to his t-shirt (or both); Tee is either tie-dyed or red (or both) (White and Tee are the only actual couple and we all know blue and red are a common pairing...and Tee's tie-dyed vests have had both of their colours so far); Fluke is purple (duh); Por is maybe green; Phee is maybe orange, Jin could be dark, Tan could be light, and Top is either embroidered shirts or yellow (or both). Let's see if this continues throughout the rest of the series.

Of course it was Tan in the background of the film, he was missing from the scene when they were recording the film.

I literally said White's line aloud before he did 😂

I wonder if someone is putting something hallucinogenic in their food or drink rather than some of these 'supernatural' things happening to/around them.

HELP! 😱 That mask is super creepy 😭 *pauses and breathes for ten seconds* Ok, focus on something else - it looks like the person in the mask is using a crutch on their left side, so maybe has an injury to their left leg, and has the axe in their right hand...let's remember that for later.

If the masked person wanted Top dead, he could have killed him there and then in the bathroom. So if the masked person is real, why didn't they? And if they're not real, then does Top really believe what he saw? Or is Top lying to instil fear in the rest?

And so I also need to wonder if Por is actually dying or if he's acting to stir up fear in the group. Make up and prosthetics can look very realistic... Hmmmm 🤔

One of my biggest questions is, are we as an audience being shown The Truth?

That was A Look from Fluke...was he not part of whatever it is that Tee, Top, and Jin did to Non? (It seemed in a later scene he does know so probably was...).

I'm leaning more into the theory that they're hallucinating, and the 'drug' is playing into their fears. White obviously cares about how he looks, with all his skincare products, and as soon as he's used something on his face (has that been tampered with? Or did he accidentally ingest something when he handled the 'drug' for the others if this is all his plan?) he sees blotches on his skin. Top is scared there's a ninth person in the house, so hallucinates the attack in the bathroom replicating the scene from Non's film. Let's see if there are any other instances which will back this up.

Yes, definitely something to do with hallucinating and maybe Por is faking... Is the hallucinogenic drug airborne or absorbed through the skin?...

Something I can't work out...in the photo Top found earlier there were 6 people, so I assume Tee, Top, Jin, Fluke, and Non, but who is the 6th person? Should I have been able to see in the photo? Or will that be revealed later? (edit after watching ep 5: I realise I forgot to include Por, so that's the 6th)

Oh god it's That scene...not looking not looking not looking... Why are Top and Tee riding off the way the Uncle came, surely IF the wire was across the road it would still be there...so maybe it's not and maybe the uncle's head wasn't detached from his body...maybe it's more hallucinating...? Or if they're in the woods now then maybe they didn't go down the road at all...and the Uncle's death is real...

(I'll say this quietly because this is personal to me but I'm also having trouble watching because I don't think I like Jet's acting. It doesn't feel authentic and it takes me out of the story a bit because I don't feel like he's acting well. I don't believe him. And it's not like he's playing it so that the audience doesn't believe the character, I think it's Jet just not being as good as the others. It's like he's demonstrating that he's acting, if that makes sense, rather than just embodying the character of Top. It's a bit overdone for me. Sorry to Jet who I presume is working hard but it's just not landing for me).

THE TATTOOS ON THIS MAN!! 😮😅 UNCLE DANG...MORE LIKE UNCLE DAMN!!

Wow. I'm still hooked. I'm still side-eying Phee because I know he knows Non, and I'm loving that I feel like I can't believe anything that anyone says or does 😂 THEY'RE ALL STILL SUS. RIP Uncle Damn Dang though. The first real victim of this situation. If he really is dead.

reviewing loki s2 ep4 (major spoilers!)

i was bit hesitant thowards this ep cuz i started noticing how this season parallels the previous one, which went very downhill after ep3 however, i think it seem to get better this time? 🤔🤭 this is so far my fav episode and hopefull they'll keep this energy for the last 2 eps. ok let's get into it:

i don't think this was timed like this on purpose but love how we're 3 days away from halloween and this episode fits with it so well. i could be biased as a horror fan but i loved the eeriness (is that even a term?)

brad you stupidass why are you listening to ravonna when she clearly doesn't care about any of your lives on the time line 😭

ooouu the box scene 😧 not miss minutes' psycho ass smiling like she's getting creepier each ep- also as someone who watches gory movies i expected to see what was left of all the prisoners but then i remembered disney tries to keep shit as "family friendly" as possible altough i am not complaining cuz it's a lot more cinematic to just hear the blood droplets & it leaves space for our imagination!

why does it feel like b-15 is lowkey the true leader of the tva now? i can definitely vibe with that.

(notice how in 1x04 mobius told him to grow up?) he's possibly even more mature then he was in the sacred time line but that was due his sctripted fate of being a "loser" that sabotaged him from more rational choices but now he's free to think & do what he wants n i love that for him.

despite of sylvie & loki not fully agreeing on moral issues and stuff, i enjoyed them working together, it was finally sylvie's turn to show off her magic 😋

loki was so soft & reassuring with victor timely only for him to be spaghettified ?? i knew they'd probs kill him off but i didn't expect it to be such a weird & immidate death 😭 kinda sad cuz i don't think they'll bring that version of him back.

idk how to feel about ravonna getting pruned. not sure she'll get redeemed cuz it's too late for that now but pruning doesn't kill an invidual so it's likely that her story doesn't just end here.

love the soundtrack in this series generally but in the latest episode it's outstanding ! natalie holt truly added her whole 🐱 into this ost 🙏

the cliffhanger is absolutely killing me, i'll have to absorb all the theories until next friday like i fr cannot wait ngfddjfsvbm

So much has been going on this month, but here I am, watching a funny Filipino movie, then downloading Webtoons which I should’ve done a long time ago. Is it too late to start? Oh, and the Filipino movie I watch is on Netflix, and then I also watched Bridgerton. I’m also thankful that you guys enjoy the stories I wrote; you have no idea how much it means to me that it captures your attention. I also wanted to say that I hope you guys are doing okay, being happy and well. 🥹

Chapter 2: This Feeling…

Everyday, every minute and second, in weeks, months and years, Ran acquires to make everything perfect. Appearances are a must. First impressions last, unless making a greater impression for the next occasion, which occasions turned to daily events.

But for the first time, he’s distressed. Beyond the ultimate perfection, it created another layer of fear to achieve more perfectionism.

For the first weeks, it took you a while to open up with Ran. Though Ran is used to girls throwing themselves at him whether in person or phone, he tried his best to communicate with you without going too fast with a ‘bang’.

Though a while it took, everything fell into place within 3 months. Everything was a success. Though one day, after their busy hours, they started texting each other non-stop, then a summon of simple 20 questions and facts about themselves. Then they twist a game into a more fun one by doing two truths and a lie.

(y/n): I want to make our conversation more interesting.

Ran: 😏 What kind of interesting? 😉

(y/n): don’t get any dirty minded ideas, Ran.

Ran: Why do you assume I’m thinking something dirty?

(y/n): the wink emoji. The side smirk emoji. 😂 i know everything. I see all.

Ran: what do you mean? I’m just sitting here anticipating, darling. Teasing you is so fun to watch, Sauron, the eye that sees all.

(y/n) is typing…

(y/n): it’ll be simple and quick.

Ran: Go on, I’m still here, waiting. 😉😏

(y/n): two truths and a lie. We have to tells facts about ourselves, and you have to guess which one is a lie, same goes for me. Self-explanatory.

Ran: alright. Bring it. 😎

(y/n): i used to ice skate, I won a dance competition at the age of 13, and I can do 3 sign languages—Japanese, English and Italian.

Ran: 🤔 hmmm…interesting…

(y/n): what? What are you thinking at the moment?

Ran: nothing, I feel as if you can do it all. So much sophistication in you. 😏😉

In an instant, you found yourself tucking half of your face in the sheets, flushing heat from his comment. But you regathered yourself that Ran Haitani is capable of making alluring comments to any girl. Not even the air condition would cool down the hot shivers on your limbs and hands, with tiny tingles tickling on your fingertips.

(y/n): so, which is the lie?

Ran: the second one.

Smiling, you typed, “wrong! It’s the first one. Your turn!”

Ran: I have own some designs from Mont Blanc. I’m a part-time model and an actor. I own a building at Roppongi.

(y/n): hmmmm…

Ran: did i offend you? 😱😥

(y/n): not really. I thought it’d be…ordinary like mine.

Ran: what do you mean?

(y/n): my accomplishments felt so mundane compare to yours.but it’s riveting.

Ran: which one?

(y/n): if anything, they all sound like you. Tricky…I have to say an actor or model.

Ran: you’re right! You chose your answer wisely.

(y/n): but you do look like a model. You’re tall and you have nice hair and good bone structure on your legs and a nice complexion. What’s your secret on making your hair look nice? Why do guys always have longer and healthier locks than mine? 😂

Ran: believe me if I say that maintaining hairstyle is hard. Good bone structure on my legs?

(y/n): yeah, we girls have to get used to being pretty. Being pretty cost a lot of hurt. Well you’re tall. Like a giant.

Ran: a handsome giant, I hope? 🙈

(y/n): like one of the fairy tales.

Ran: that’s not what I meant. I meant to say that when it comes to hair salons, they have their prices ranged up. A tall handsome giant, maybe? A confirmation from a talented, sophisticated lady? 🥺

(y/n): I wish everything is cheap. Life isn’t fair. You’re like a tall elvish prince, I’d say.

Ran: I agree. But when it comes to money, anyone can pretty much do anything. As long as everything is legal. Elvish prince? Lord of the Rings?

(y/n): you know it! 🤭🫣

(y/n): I always wanted to become a ballerina, but I dislocated my leg and foot in the process at a young age. I used to dye my hair blonde a lot. And I used to go to homeschool.

Ran: dislocated? Are you okay?

(y/n): 😂. You have to pick which one is a lie.

Ran: if I have to guess…homeschool!

(y/n): nope! Dyeing my hair blonde. I wouldn’t risk it. My head is too precious to be ruined.

Ran: is your leg okay?

(y/n): I’m okay. I can walk and sit perfectly. But if I slip, it tends to get worse. So I had to be careful.

Ran: want me to help you?

(y/n): you don’t have to, actually. I’ve been pretty cautious ever since I was a little girl.

Ran: I can help you to get to a location. I have a car. Driving is not an issue for me.

(y/n): very kind of you, Ran, but I’d rather get exercise for my leg. I don’t want to rely on anyone for the burdens I’ve been carrying for my whole life.

Ran couldn’t let you go on a risky route. He’ll have to find a way to make an excuse to help you, to ease your burdens.

Ran: I overslept over a day. I can cook food. I…have my eyes and heart set on someone.

Your heart skipped a beat. You were sure that your mind is still present, not strayed by the last fact about Ran. He has his eyes set on someone.

Nah, that can’t be. His love life is his precious kingdom—his kingdom of roppongi. You already know this by now. A part of you felt like your heart is screeched into an imploded shock.

Drinking water to calm the burn in your chest and throat, you licked your lips dry, focusing on other facts.

Ran: (y/n)?

(y/n): sorry, I was thinking long and hard on this. They all sound like you.

Ran: are you sure about that? You might want to think long and hard again. 🙈 i know what’s long and hard, if you catch my drift.

(y/n): maybe…the second one?

Ran: you got it!

You couldn’t breathe anymore. Your head turned with hot spiraling motion, even when sitting still. You drank another bottle of water.

(y/n): that was fun! 🤭👏

Ran: do you play video games?

(y/n): no, unfortunately. Besides, I suck at playing video games. I watched a lot of dramas.

Ran: drama?

(y/n): you wouldn’t be interested in it.

Ran: tell me, anyway. 😊🫣

Your heart skipped a beat again, but with your watered eyes prickle, engaging on changing your inner channel to a happier one.

(y/n): um, I either watch Underworld—which is NOT a drama, but rather a supernatural action movie, or I would watch those cheesy romantic movies. Like ‘the fault in our stars’ or anything with historical drama. Sometimes I watch a lot of cartoons like Shrek or anything that has musical parts on it. Putting on subtitles is part of the routine.

Ran: you should invite me sometime.

The hitched on your throat came, nearly choking. Almost as if you’re rendered speechless.

(y/n): are you sure? I mean, there are some parts that are boring. I can set up Fast & Furious or any of the action movies you prefer, like ones with money heist or something.

Ran: it’s okay. Besides, my brother is trying to host a party at the building I live in.

(y/n): why don’t you join him? I mean, you told me before that you can do DJ.I’m sure the people you want to see will be there.

Ran: I want to get away from party life for once. Are you interested in going to a party?

(y/n): I haven’t been into one since the prom.

Ran: we never have a prom here.

(y/n): I know, you’re very wild, unlike me.

Ran: taming is the only way for me to cooperate with somebody.

(y/n): I’m sure someone will tame you one of these times. Maybe sooner than later. I have to go to sleep. My eyes are getting heavy. I’ll text you whenever I can. 😴

Ran’s hands are coated in sweat, reading the last message you sent. Under the lying world of darkness, even a dimmed screen on his phone, he was sure he’s been sparked brighter. The movements shifted in his bed with his limbs were somewhat hyper and awake.

You, on the other hand, are lying. Your eyes weren’t getting heavier. You wish your heart would stop listening and responding from his messages. All of this, will be nothing in the end but just a thin string of temporary comfort. This will all be but a smoke and mirrors to you.

This feeling….you couldn’t survive it. Your inner voices unruly spiked, then drowned.

Like Scarlett O’Hara said, ‘I’ll think about it tomorrow.’ Is a way for you to forget what he previously declared.

Meanwhile…

“Fuck, why did I say that I set my eyes and heart on someone…” Ran scolded himself, throwing himself on the tucked bed. “I’m so stupid! Stupid, stupid, stupid! It’s not like she’ll make a big deal out of it…right? I’m sure she’ll forget. By the time tomorrow, she’ll talk to me again, like nothing occurs. And I’ll talk to her, too. I’ll just go to take for a walk…”

“Ran, it’s time to go!” Rindou interrupted through the closed door. “We can’t miss the party!”

With Ran’s head hung low, he said, “Guess not.”

Hi C-puff. Since you know your manga/anime, do you have any suggestions for a person feeling nostalgic for Chobits but not looking to re-read it?

hmmmm~ 🤔

I think it depends what it is you liked about Chobits itself. A Magical Girlfriend anime (not to be confused with magical Girl anime) that I quite like but which is a little all over the place with its anime adaptations is "Oh My Goddess" or "Aah My Goddess" depending on how it's translated. it's a lot lighter than Chobits in tone, but it does have a weird mix of magical girlfriend romance... and a SEVERE interest in motorcycles. The laborious detail the manga has on its machinery is ridiculous. Fujishima Kousuke just completely indulging himself. It's great. Also it has one of the most interesting concepts for how its whole "Goddess" system works. I recommend the movie from the 2000s (which wasn't attached to any specific anime at the time) which if only in aesthetic is one of my favourite "easy to watch" anime movies. It also had a proper anime tv series made for it around 2005 I think?

For something a little grittier that really explores relationships and especially heartache a little more in depth, I'd recommend "Video Girl Ai" which is a 6 episode OVA which is based on the manga Denei Shoujo. It's far more mature (in themes, not in adult content) regarding loneliness and relationships as experienced by normal Japanese teenagers in a way that focuses on the emotional side of things. So if you need something a little less wish fulfillment and a little more personal I'd recommend it.

If you don't mind an ecchi, there is Mahoromatic: The Automatic Maiden which I still have to watch myself past the first 3 episodes, but I find the plot synopsis extremely juicy;

Mahoro Andou is a powerful combat android designed by Vesper, a secret organization protecting the world against alien invaders. Unfortunately, her remaining operational time is running short. If she continues to fight, she will shut down in about one month. However, if she chooses to avoid combat, she can live freely for over a year.

Suguru Misato is a high school boy who lives alone in a large house left behind by his late parents. Like any other boy his age, he has trouble taking care of the house on his own, so he decides to enlist the help of a maid. His problem is solved in the most unexpected way: when a couple of thugs hijack the bus he is riding, a young, beautiful girl wearing a maid outfit saves the day. It turns out that this girl is Mahoro, who has chosen to live her remaining days as Suguru's new maid.

Mahoro makes the best of her remaining time and develops bonds with Suguru and his friends during their peaceful yet lively everyday interactions. However, Mahoro is hiding her true intentions behind becoming Suguru's maid, that being that she is the one responsible for his father's death.

Again, just be aware it IS an Ecchi and as such has a lot of adult humour, however if you're familiar with the Chobits anime it's about on par with that (although the Chobits manga is not as sexually focused as the anime is). Mahoromatic is also a show created by Gainax around the same time as Chobits but before the studio had made FLCL. (it also has some INSANE sakuga in it). Just be aware you're in for a lot of anime tiddy.

Then there's DearS but I wouldn't recommend DearS because it's literally a Chobits ripoff. They have the exact same plot except DearS is even more of an ecchi than Chobits with none of the interesting meta-human commentary and more "look at my hot alien waifu who has the intelligence of a child" thing.

I see a lot of people on MAL also recommend an anime called "Plastic Memories" but I am not familiar with it myself. It's got a pretty decent score tho, and the premise seems interesting as another Android/human love story which also has the plot point of the robot girl's lifespan being on a short timer.

I hope one of those might be what you're looking for!

Random Furina brain rot again. Nothing too surprising as she lives in my head rent free.

But like—Furina as Vanitas from Case Study of Vanitas?? Both are sad blue French people who have trust issues. They’re kind.(it’s just a lot harder to see) They wear black and blue. They’re short. They’re sad. They’re traumatized. They both have identity issues(as far as I know). They have SEVERE trust issues. They both wear gloves. They speak French. They have inhuman (they glow you cannot tell me otherwise/they’re unnatural)blue eyes.

They’re technically both not human. (Furina had the brain of a human but her body was originally Focalors’ so not human by technicality. Also she has no parents or blood relatives so she’s more so an entity in my mind, also I don’t think she can die via primordial sea[brainrot for another day])

They have dead inhuman blue mentors. (Luna/Focalors) (don’t like Focalors still)

They don’t tell anyone about their past.

Furina would totally threaten to kill anyone who tried to pry inside her memories especially if this is before end of prophecy. (Sorry Nahida, but you won’t be spared if you try) (traveler too, they should have gotten a good smack down for invasion of privacy and then brushing it off like it was nothing)

But then, who would be her Noè? 🤔 I’m a confident shipper of wanderer X Furina but he doesn’t exactly act like Noè from VNC. Hmmmm. Can’t be Lyney or Lynette, or Arlecchino(I still hate her).

Freminet is a maybe cuz he’s Fatui.

I don’t feel like Clorinde would work.

Maybe Navia or Chevruse? I like the idea of Chevruse more for some reason.

Can’t be Neuvillette since he’s like-Count Orlok or Rugen vibes.

Wriothesley just doesn’t work.

So maybe Sigewinne? Meh

No one in Fontaine really fits the dynamic or Noè personality I’m looking for.

I just got hit by a random thought, but in Physical Paradox, what do you think the kids will be passionate about like at school or outside? What careers do you think they would want to pursue now that they don't habe to fight curses? (I can see Mai being drawn to photography or something similarly creative) I wanna hear your thoughts!

So, Mai wants to be a counselor because she's spent so much time listening to Rinko rant and ramble about different theories since she and Maki first moved in with her. They helped keep Rinko sane while she worked on her Dissertation, so Mai has quite the leg up going in 😂

Honestly, I haven't really figured out what Maki wants to do yet 🤔 I could see her going into medicine somehow, or possibly teaching/coaching! But again, not super sure.

During middle/high school:

Maki was on the Kendo team! It's how she met Yuuta 👀 She was the girl's captain and he became the boy's captain when he transferred to their school 👀 they were in different classes. He became fast friends with Toge, and so when he started hanging out with Maki, obviously Mai was there, and Toge tagged along, SO IT WAS JUST REALLY FUCKIN CUTE. THEY HAD CUTE LIL DOUBLE DATES AND RINKO JUST ABOUT DIED FROM HOW SWEET IT WAS.

Mai played soccer through middle and high school, like in Before I Love You! She also knows JSL(they all do now, actually) because Toge is deaf in Physical Paradox, and she learned because she wanted to be able to communicate with him 🥹

They're both in clubs in college, but they're not as competitive anymore.

Hmmmm for hobbies??? 🤔🤔 I could see one of them being into photography or drawing; I feel like Toge is probably a good artist?

How did they get together? - Maybe around S4 or S5. Matchmaking Adrienette, they finally mange to talk to each other when they can and they end up becoming friends, then slowly lovers. Also, adding my opinion into the mix, I think it was a HUGE lost opportunity for Lukagami interactions! Romantic or platonic (or even both!), I think it would’ve been interesting to see these guys interact. I know on the outside (especially around the beginning of S2) they may seem incompatible since Kagami is direct and Luka can be a bit too passive, but imo, I still think that they can work out, especially since we’re at S5 now.

You might be asking; Becca, what the hell is this? Well... It's a rags to riches style mini "BC" I suppose.. though also, not really 🤔 The idea being that Curty here builds up a container community with seven other sims, since he's the jade generation of the NSB2 challenge... Maybe he finds love, maybe not? I guess you could consider it a rough take on a BC since he could fall in love with one of em? But obviously there's no roses, challenges, dates or eliminations and some sims may leave due to.. idk, not being able to cope, falling out with members of the community, whatever else?? We're wingin' it here as per, so we'll see what happens.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As of right now I'm on patch 1.89.214.1030 and have no plans to update. Any submissions need to be made/have been made for this patch or earlier. I'm sorry to potentially cut some of you off from submitting but I'm just not willing to potentially break my game for this shit lmao.

In a similar vein, feel free to give 'em some skills!

I have all packs/kits except journey to Shituu and High School whatever it is.

CC allowed but keep it light on the clothes plx, no alpha hair either.

Give 'em as much or as little backstory as you wish. They're ultimately just gameplay sims so you don't have to go nuts if you can't be arsed.
