Very different than my normal content but I had to share. I'm taking an honors section of a biology class in college this semester and the professor thinks we're literally incompetent.

"So that's called a citation and I wanted you to know what that was."

We are h o n o r s students

"it's basically gonna be the author's name and the date it was published; they're referring to someone else's article."

This is ridiculous.

"Did anyone do a bibliography in high school? It's like that. It's okay if you don't get it."

I literally cannot with this woman. She is very clearly more used to plants than people.

Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. I think I might be a little insane because every semester I do the same thing and throw myself into my studies and making sure I work hard and do all my assignments, and every semester I expect myself to not fall into a a burnout that makes me want to scream into the void despite the fact that it has happened basically every semester since I started college.

Today was stressful. I went to my grandparents house in the morning. My grandpa talked about how 90s music was the "downfall of music" and my grandma kept asking if I was taking college level classes in high school (no to both). Then I went to a birthday party for my mom's friend's child. I got a lot of food there so that's cool. Then on the way back we got rear ended by a random car and we had to call the police and stuff. That was extremely stressful lol. When we got home my dad yelled at us, then I went to jump on the trampoline and listen to music.

Then when I came in I practiced Mandarin Chinese and Spanish a bit on duolingo and I wrote a few Spanish sentences (can you tell that I want bread?).I also looked up a short story prompt generator and wrote two paragraphs of a short story. The story isn't finished yet but yeah.

Thinking about Dream cat behavior.

Especially retired Dream behavior I think would be very cat like.

Climbing into Hob’s lap as he’s sitting in his home office, trying to work, suddenly finding himself with a lapful of warm Dream. Pale arms wrapped around him, tucking his nose against Hob’s neck, purring, falling sleep. Well guess that’s all the work Hob’s gonna do today, he can’t move now. He’s not a monster.

Curling on Hob’s chest as he’s lying on the couch.

Getting impatient when Hob takes too long in the bathroom, and either joining him or complaining behind the door. “Hob,” he says, not whining at all.

Coming to inspect what snack Hob’s got at every crinkle of a packet.

Enjoying Hob’s scratches and pets with a blissed out expression on his face.

Having moments of frantic energy highs when he snoops through Hob’s stuff, roaming from room to room, until he finds something that piques his curiosity and sates his agitation.

Doing nothing but sprawling on bed the whole day.

Launching himself at Hob from behind and nuzzling against his back as he’s scrubbing the dishes, scaring him shitless.

Leaving scratches on Hob.

Perching on every surface possible, counters, desks, tables, the back of the sofa, the windowsill.

Hissing at appliances when they don’t cooperate with him.

Biting.

Demanding attention when he’s left alone for too long.

Waking Hob up at ass o’clock in the mornings, because while sleep and dreams are important so is cuddling your Dream close and Dream’s been awake for some time already so he needs attention now.

Hating getting wet. Rain is evil.

Birds are fascinating.

Licking.

Nuzzling against Hob’s legs, chest, back, face, anything.

Seeking warm spots in the house.
