- You and your girls made your way into the last booth available at the bar laughing and eating chips with your drinks. “Wait so he refused to eat your food?” One of your friends ask your other friend with a laugh. You look up from your friend and spot this guy, 6’4, blue eyes and beautiful. He flashes his beautiful smile at you and you blush. He was with a lot of people, they all seem pretty close and man do they all look EXPRESSIVE! He starts doing karaoke and singing to you and making a big fool of himself, you found it adorable and smiled wildly. After he’s done he goes to the bar and looks at you again. “I’m gonna get another beer” you excuse yourself and confidently walked beside him and ordered your drink making it known to his ears. “You have an eye for good taste” he smirks. You finally meet his eyes and your heart almost fell apart. “Thank you.” You eye his drink and smiles. “I could say the same, whiskey huh?” The tension was strong already, you can feel it. “Mhm” he nods. “I’m Y/N. And you?” Your say sweetly hoping your voice didn’t sound to high pitch. He stares at you for what seems like hours. He couldn’t believe it, he’s Almost relive that this beautiful women he met at the bar doesn’t know who he is. “I’m Drew Starkey” is all he said. “Drew! I like that name” you lean a little into him and he looks down at your lips. “Do you know me?” He asked and immediately regretted, a really stupid question. She playfully glares at him before taking a sip of her drink. “Never in my life! But I happen to meet a man name Drew here so….” He laughs and leans into her so he’s whispering in her ear. “ you’re hot by the way.” your cheeks immediately flushed and you are glad for the bar lighting. “Anywho. Here’s my number” she kisses the napkin with a red lips stick and folds it, slowly putting it in his front pocket. Biting her lip with bedroom eyes she smiles and hurry’s away to her friends.

“He’s totally checking you out! Go for it!” Lucy one of your best friends tells you with a hint of mystery. What y/n doesn’t know is that Lucy and her friends all know well on who Drew Starkey is and the crew he’s with except y/n herself. It’s not that she’s clueless or anything she just don’t know who he is. “Okay fine. Wish me luck?” You say taking a strong shot of your liquor. Hands grabbing at anything he can find. “Drew” you say when you hear people enter the bathroom. But he doesn’t let up, he’s so obsessed with you that all he can think about is YOU. “Do you know how happy I am that you came up to me? I’m a chicken shit, was so scared to come up to someone this gorgeous” he mumbles as he takes your boobs in his hands and squeezes them, casing you to let out a soft moan. He bucks his hips forward and apologizes. “Sorry, you just sound so sexy” he laughs. “God Drew, you make me feel so good” he picks you up and leans you against the stall wall, groaning into each others mouth.

A blinding smile.

An even more blinding flash.

Red carpet events took a toll on you at times but they were necessary.

Your movie premiere was one of your firsts as an up and coming actor. You anticipated the lights but you never knew how hot the lights were until you were under them.

It took you a while to get to where you were now and you were proud of yourself. With someone as unique as yourself, you dealt with many hardships, many rejections but that never stopped you from pursuing your dreams of acting. Having trustworthy staff behind your back helped you as well. Their reassurances and their support helped you through the toughest of times and you couldn’t be more thankful.

A gentle hand was placed on the small of your back, your assistant, guiding you to your first interview of the night.

Sending a few more smiles toward the press, you walked up to the interviewer and gave them air kisses as they gushed over you, “Y/n! How are you tonight?”

You smiled and nodded, “I’m doing just fine! I'm really excited to be here really, how are you?”

“I’m doing great, thank you! What are some things you’re feeling right now? I know, I know you’re still fairly new to these outings. How are you dealing with everything? Do you feel any pressure on you at all?”

You paused a bit, thinking of your answer before you shrugged, “I mean…honestly? I’d rather be at home,” you laughed, “but I’m doing great, I have an amazing team with me tonight, I have amazing co-stars who are like family to me that are here, and I’m excited to meet new people. I don’t feel a lot of pressure on me to be honest, I’m just here to have fun and see our amazing film.”

The interviewer smiled, “That’s wonderful Y/n. Speaking of the film, who was your favorite person to work with on set? Now, I know you’ve worked with Florence the most so you can’t say her,” the reporter laughed.

Laughing, you put on a charming face for the camera, “Can’t I just say all of them?”

“Touché…and who is the person you are most looking forward to meeting tonight?”

Little did you know, one of your idols (and one of your celebrity crushes) had made their way onto the red carpet.

Gwendoline Christie. 

In all her glory, she made her way to the interviewers where she started to talk about the film you were in and how she was excited to see the finished product.

Essentially, Gwen was in the film with you but her part was smaller than yours and so you never saw each other on set. You knew she was a part of the cast and you’ve always been nervous to see her around so it was a bummer when you arrived to set one day to hear that she had just finished up her own filming. She filmed her part before heading out to take part in a few fashion shows and that was the last you heard of her recently.

“So Gwen, who was your favorite co-star to work with?”

The blonde answered immediately, “Now I haven’t worked with them directly but I was absolutely honored to be on the same cast as Y/n L/n. I’ve watched their works from the beginning and I’m in awe of their acting skills truly.”

“Well don’t look now but they’re just right over there.” The interviewer pointed out.

Just as Gwendoline looked towards you, you turned your head and looked towards her as well.

You gasped and grasped the hand of your assistant. To say you were nervous was an understatement. The woman in front of you towered you in her heels. She looked ethereal. The way her red dress contrasted against her alabaster skin. Her blonde locks were swept to the side and her makeup was regal.

Gwen saw how nervous you were and thought that you were just adorable. Even more so in person than what she saw in previous interviews.

The blonde reached her hand out and stepped towards you, “Hi lovely! I. Am. A. Huge. Fan. It’s such an honor to finally meet you!”

You took her hand and shook it, noticing how firm her grip was on yours.

“Thank you so much but I am the huge fan. I was close to seeing you on set once but you left before I arrived! It’s so amazing to meet you too! And where I’m from we do hugs,” you pulled her hand closer to you before you knew it, you were engulfed in a huge hug.

Warmth.

Safety.

That’s what you felt when you hugged Gwen. The blonde didn’t help your crush when she squeezed you a little tighter before letting go and wrapping an arm around your back.

Gwen turned to the reporter and made a shocked face while covering her mouth as if she couldn't believe she was with you. You saw her actions and laughed at how adorably cute she could be when she was playful.

You both answered some questions together all the while her arm was wrapped around your back. What you didn’t notice was that you unintentionally leaned into her but Gwen did and she held you a bit tighter.

“Alright well thank you, you two! It was an honor to meet you Gwen, and you as well Y/n! We can’t wait to see the film!”

With that being said, Gwendoline had gently guided you towards the back row to walk into the theater. The blonde moved her hand from around your back to holding your hand. 

“I’m so excited to be with you y/n, you have no idea! I’m in awe of you darling, really,” Gwen said as she squeezed your hand.

You had to lean your head up a bit to hear what she was saying, the crowd of press and paparazzi making it hard to hear. You squeezed her hand back and placed your other hand on top of hers, “I mean I can’t believe I finally got to meet you! I’ve loved your works and,” you stopped in front of her, looking up into ocean eyes, “watching you on the screen helped me realize that I want to act so, really, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you.”

The blonde tsked and brought you in for another hug, “You are just the sweetest and most adorable little thing aren’t you? Thank you darling, I appreciate that,” she kissed the top of your head. 

After your little embrace, you felt taps on your shoulder, totally forgetting that you had your assistant with you.

“I’m happy for you y/n/n but we really need to get you to your other interviews before the movie starts,” your assistant said in your ear.

Gwen nodded in acknowledgment and pet your head, smoothing your hair down, “It’s alright darling, I’ll see you inside alright? You go and have some fun.” She said before sending you a blinding smile.

You watched in awe as you watched her and her assistant walk into the building, leaving you to walk in after her, heading towards your other press appearances for the night.

The sun was setting in Hawkins Indiana, casting a golden hue through the youngest Byers’ window.

Lots of change had taken place over the course of the year, some bad, some good; one of the good changes however, was the new relationship between Will Byers and Mike Wheeler.

Today, the two lovebirds sat in Will’s bedroom, Mike flipping through an old comic book while Will sat at his desk, engrossed in his current artistic project. Though they were both doing separate activities, they were together and that’s all that they needed.

After awhile of sitting in comfortable silence, Mike started to feel bored, looking over at his boyfriend who was lost in his own world of creativity.

Getting an idea, he closed his comic book and carefully set it aside, hopping up from the bed and slowly making his way towards the unsuspecting artist.

When he reached his destination, he waited for Will to put down his pencil, not wanting to risk ruining the project by causing him to slip.

When the brunette set his pencil aside in favor of reaching for a marker, Mike put his plan into motion.

Before the boy could grab his marker, his boyfriend spun the chair around to face him, eliciting a sharp gasp from the Byers.

“Mike, you scared me- hey! Mihihike!” Any words that he tried to get out were cut off by the feeling of soft lips against his neck, peppering the skin with loving - and ticklish - kisses.

“What? I’m just showing you how much I love you.” Said the taller boy, smiling against the skin.

This comment caused Will’s cheeks to take on a rosy tint, and he was kind of glad that Mike couldn’t see it from his position.

“I-I love you tohohohohoo, but that tickles!” He giggled, hands resting on his boyfriend’s shoulders, head tipped back to welcome the affection, despite his protests.

Mike had known that Will was tickling LONG before they started dating.

He’d always tickle his - at the time - friend when he needed a pick me up or when he just seemed like he could use a good laugh, and the shorter boy never seemed to mind; he’d squirm around but would never make any attempts to escape and sometimes, albeit rarely, he’d get the courage to ask for the playful attention.

It was one of those things that made him love Will even more.

“Mike, plehehehease!”

The brunette squirmed in his seat, halfheartedly trying to dislodge his lover from his sensitive neck, which was starting to turn pink as well.

Mike started to laugh as well, the sound vibrating against Will’s skin and making it tickle more.

“I can’t help it, you’re too adorable!” He teased, continuing his barrage of ticklish kisses.

Will, though starting to reach his limit, couldn’t help the euphoria that had overcome him.

The reality of someone he loved for so long loving him back was just setting in and he couldn’t be happier, and he let himself continue to laugh and melt away into the silly moment.

“Am nohohohot! Eek- plehehease!”

The taller boy was about to relent, but then he realized there was one more thing left to do.

“Okay okay, one more thing and then I’m done…” He assured, letting Will catch his breath for a moment.

The brunette’s eyes flickered with curiosity and a trace of excitement.

“And what would thAHAHA- MIHIHIKE NO!” He squealed, childlike laughter following suit as Mike blew a sharp raspberries in the crook of his neck, sending ticklish shocks through his whole body.

“M-MIKE, CAN’T BREHEHEHEATHE!!”

At those words, the Wheeler immediately pulled away, not wanting to overwhelm his boyfriend.

He watched the artist recuperate from the tickly attack, eyes filled with love and affection.

Not missing a beat, he leaned in to connect their lips, locking them both in a soft, tender kiss.

When they pulled away, they shared a look of mutual infatuation.

“I love you, even when you torture me with tickles…” Will smiled, bashfully averting his gaze.

Mike laughed and pulled the shorter boy up from his chair, guiding them both to the bed.

“If you really love me, you’ll take a break from the paper and engage in some cuddle time~” He grinned cheekily, earning a chuckle from Will.

“Deal… but no more tickles!”

With a heart full of love, Mike smirked.

“No promises.”

hey what’re your thoughts on bnha rn. you’re like one of the only dudes i trust with opinions on this manga/anime lmao

LOL idk why im one of the only guys u trust for manga/anime opinions BUT SURE do you mean like... what do I think of the current plot? or mha in general? (I will answer both. i love to talk) current plot: (SPOILERS) It's clearly the final arc and its clearly taking longer than Horikoshi intended lol. Overall it's decent shounen fare? Nothing mindblowing but it's well drawn and weekly developments r fun so im not complaining. I'm not the type to get rly invested in villains so AFO/shigaraki even Dabi are only interesting to me thematically and as characters I don't rly care but the visuals are cool enough. I love the pure white negative space hair and Horikoshi clearly loves AKIRA LOL. I will say I LOVE the ongoing Boku No Open Heart Surgery saga that's going on with Bakugo though. I love that they have to save him in some ridiculous weird power-based way lol, normal first aid would be booooring!! + I think its smart for the manga to keep him teetering on the edge of death and flashing his lifeless body every 5 pgs (lol) because it means even if the final fight drags a lil I'll keep tuning in.

in general: There's a lot of shounen manga out there but there's only one shounen manga that caters specifically to people who love the school aspect of x-men comics so I think I'm pre-disposed to love mha based on that alone. Beyond that, I love how idiosyncratic and energetic horikoshi's art style is.. I feel like the two things u can tell right off the bat abt his drawings is that he draws rly fast and that he rly loves his characters lol. Evident in the sketches he puts on twitter and the bonus content in all the tankobon volumes (it's also great for ""content""" he's a good content creator), he's always coming up with situations and outfits and concepts on the fly for those kids like they truly live in his brain. Also the more I read the more I realize I actually quite enjoy Horikoshi's writing too? I think he really clearly grew up with and adores paying homage to corny shounen superhero stuff but he's also very genre savvy and (I think) purposefully avoids a lot of common criticisms and pitfalls. Like the power scaling is pretty tame, the adults never truly give up responsibility of the kids & continue to own up to mistakes/endangerment (but never so much as to prevent the kids from doing cool action stuff!! duh), the cast is relatively well balanced despite being so big etc etc... It's not perfect, there's pretty significant failing on gender parity, and some of the pacing is way better in archival format > week-to-week but it's pretty good overall. Also its funny?? I feel like in the midst of 9486135613 action battle series + generic anime comedy we forget to address when something actually has good jokes and i think mha does. The aoyama cheese stuff made me laugh, the kids protesting biased commentary was funny as hell, and honestly i think mirio distracting afo with his ass?? funnier than naruto's final yaoi no jutsu imo. Sorry if you wanted me to dish out criticism I know its kind of popular to hate on mha rn because it's pretty generic low-brow shounen. And also adults who obsess over yaoi-ifying these kids are like the butt of the joke on the internet rn. But I don't rly run in fandom circles, it's just a solid manga to me with fun characters. Actually 90% of the reason I started reading mha again was because I listened to the mangasplaining ep abt it recently and they made me remember how much there was to like! Good to listen to if you want a more fandom-free objective take on the manga. Also Horikoshi credits all of his assistants in a bonus page in every volume! just a cool thing to note! kinda rare for a mangaka and kind of important for a series that requires as much assistant work as a wsj shounen. I feel like the amount of assistants that have gone on to lead mha spin off manga projects is kind of testament to how good his relationship w them is.

Live action Yu Yu Hakusho liveblog: ep 1

This is so much fun. Nostalgia time. 13 year old me is LIVING

Warning for like whole ep 1 spoilers and all

Yusuke and Botan look great which I already knew going in from the gifset that informed me this show exists lol, but it's delightful, bc the characters in this show aren't necessarily the easiest to translate to live action

Botan is adorable. Her hair is adorable. And I'm delighted to see that Yusuke's hair is the Correct amount of Poufy

Plot twist: Kuwabara hot. He looks great actually. Translated nonliterally compared to Yusuke but v well. The actor is selling me on it too, fun casting

Kuwabara was always hard for me to watch in the original bc he set off my vicarious embarrassment soo hard. Glad they're less committed to making him the constant source of painful comedic relief here lol

KOENMA PACIFIER REVEAL I LOVE IT

Idk if I'm a little disappointed he's not a baby but like live action would make that ridic hard to do in a lot of ways so I don't blame them at all. He's in his adult form which makes sense. Still damn glad they kept the pacifier it is RUINING his dignity and I love it

Seriously they do a really good job of making Yusuke's fighting style as a human believable, fun to watch, and effective. He rly does come off as just kind of a natural fighting genius (with practice ofc)

Sakyo in ep 1? Weird but I'm not opposed. The wavy hair is kinda freaking me out though ngl. Smoothness was just such his THING in the show it's distracting

Really liked Yusuke's mom's introduction (not that it was flattering to her as a character) but I wish they'd done more with her in the rest of the ep. Her power hug at the end is great tho

Show's slowing down a bit but it's fine I'm still having fun, the nostalgia power will get me through basically whatever

Seriously I keep seeing flashes of the appearance and movements of people I know with developmental disabilities (particularly this one guy I know with cerebral palsy but also I've worked in care work for disabled adults and just kind of a lot of people in general) and. I hate this. Especially as a person who DOES have a (nonvisible) developmental disability myself. This is such a rising trend in horror/sff/fantasy tv/movies/video games and I hate everything about it. Hayao Miyazaki was right this kind of attitude and shit really is "an insult to life itself"

Kurama looks pretty good. Goki actually looks wayyyy better than he did in the anime imho, which I did not see coming.

Effects on Kurama and Hiei's fighting looks surprisingly great. They pulled off the rose whip way better than I thought they would, and did some great wirework with Hiei's speed and fighting style

That said....Hiei...oof. That hair was always gonna be a Challenge but I think their ambition here did uh. not play off rip. Hopefully it'll look better later on

so i just finished campaign 2

in 6 months pretty much to the fucking day. and what a half a year it was. i don't know how to write down how much i love these characters, just... watching them evolve from the very beginning of the journey was just so special. i started campaign 1 in the briarwood arc (and i honestly should probably rewatch that just bc i was so confused about what was happening still at that point) and i loved seeing these characters from their first meeting as a group and how their experiences and relationships formed them into the people they were a year(-ish??) later.

Although c3 is the one that got me hooked and will always be special bc of that, and c1 felt more of a idk how to say it a story because of the separation and a more clear path (going from the briarwoods to the dragons to vecna just felt more natural to me instead of what mostly felt like side quests next to the war storyline and the lucien storyline), i feel the most connection as a group with m9. their individual development but also their group dynamic in which each of them felt like an integral part to the story and all were important to each other and had special moments together... idk something so very compelling and i will be thinking about them for a long fucking time.

As for the numbers, this means that on average i spend over two and a half hours a day for the past half a year watching critical role and i honestly cannot say i regret it. i don't know if i will ever play d&d myself as i think cr has set such a high bar of expectations and i don't really know the right people for it (at this moment) but i have grown to see the value in role playing games. though the stories might be fantasy, the emotions these people bring to the table each week is are just raw and real and have made me work through some of my own issues, i can't even imagine the impact on their own lives throughout all of it.

in the end, i would have loved to see more of essek and caleb interacting. liam and matt's interactions in the final part of 141 broke me and made me yearn for more. i haven't seen the wrap up of the reunion eps yet but at least for the reunion i don't think we see essek until the last few moments, which is bittersweet; while we don't see it directly play out, we get a good glimpse into their combined futures and i think that open ending does leave for a lot of own interpretation (and def a lot of great fan art!). overall, the characters i enjoyed most were caleb (i adore liam and his faithful representation of a bisexual disaster) and jester (do i need to explain? wonderfully chaotic and the kind of enjoyment of just life and its beauty i admire and aspire to), but even the characters i had less of a personal connection with (for me ford) i really loved for their interactions and relationships with the others.

i laughed and cried so much while experiencing this campaign, and i am just feeling full with love for the cast and crew and their incredible work and play. this is just a rambling of my thoughts at the moment and kind of a time capsule for myself, but if you are a critter and read all of it, thank you to you as well <3 the community (i mostly only interact with the one on tumblr) makes the experience def more valuable and i'm happy we're on the same journeys together!

Anyway... my favorite LOTR Characters!

Bilbo Baggins

This is probably more due to the Hobbit, which I did read before LOTR. But I've always thought of him as my fictional kindred spirit. He's grumpy and tired and really wants to be left alone so he can write his book. And the only way you'll get him to do anything is show up with 13 dwarves and a wizard to kick him out the door.

Btw - Martin Freeman was a perfect casting for this role. I'm sad the Hobbit films weren't better ones, because Freeman embodies him perfectly.

Gandalf

Look, I love Wizards. Love. Them. Maybe it's the aesthetic? Maybe it's the idea of some old, frail looking dude being able to kick your butt with ancient magic? Maybe it's the fact that they're the ones who always know the mythology? I don't know. But one of the reasons I love LOTR is for the wizards, and Gandalf is one of the greatest. Plus, he's grumpy and too old for this shit and really would rather just sit back and enjoy the Hobbit nonsense if he could.

Also - another perfect casting choice here with Ian McKellen.

Pippin

I really love the Hobbits in general, but Pippin is my favorite. I think in both the book and the movies he gets some really great material - he's not as comical in the book, but he does bring levity to the story in both. Plus, his story arc showcases how someone so small can be beneficial to the overall story and he gets to hang out with Gandalf a ton.

Aragorn

I mean, look at this sexy dude. ;) I think this is one of those instances where the movies gave a lot more complexity to a character who was more of an archetype in the book. But I think I just kind of love the gruff, gritty guy who is actually an heir to royalty but really isn't in it for that trope.

Legolas

I'm really fond of the Elves in general - and their mythology is one of the hearts of the book. But in the movies, let's be real, it's mostly aesthetic. ;) Also - the fact that there are so many great memes. Lol

Frodo & Sam

Okay, I originally just had Sam on here - Sam is the literal heart of the whole story, and has one of the best arcs in the whole book. It's really his story, and I absolutely adore him.

I'm including Frodo here, though because in the movies, he and Sam have one of my favorite dynamics. In the books, Frodo and Sam have a very strictly master-companion relationship, it grows into a very strong bond, but there is that level of class that always stays between them. To make it more modern (and I'd say more American - but this is a New Zealand film) they eased up on the class stuff and made it a really strong friendship. I'd even go as far to say that this is perhaps the best 'romance' of the movies. (I don't even mean that in a sexual way - but that their love and connection is very deep and isn't played up for laughs in the same way as Merry and Pippin or Legolas and Gimli.)

Faramir

Honestly, I think he's a character I enjoy a lot in the movies, and maybe less so in the books. He doesn't have much of a personality in the books - and I'm okay with the movies trying to give him a better character arc. But idk, I've always liked him - maybe because he gets to pal around with Pippin while they're both stuck in Minas Tirith.

Eowyn

It's really sad that I only have one woman on this list but at least she gets to be badass and gets to do cool things.

In case you're wondering about some characters not on this list...

Merry - Poor Merry gets the shaft. But he is the weakest developed of the four main hobbits. His friendship with Pippin is great though.

Gimli - Okay, people don't hate me, I've never been all that into the Dwarven cultures. :/

Gollum - Look, I realize he's, like, the favorite of everyone, the most morally complex, and Andy Serkis should have gotten a damn Oscar for that role, but I just don't like him. Sorry.

Saruman - I really don't think he gets to do all that much in either book or movie. He has some interesting backstory stuff going on, but he's a little generic in the main story.

Boromir - Tolkien doesn't have a lot of morally gray characters in his books, so it's great when we get to see him. But for me, I'm meh on him even if I recognize that he is a good character.

Elrond and Galadriel - Both of whom have better stories elsewhere in Tolkien's mythology.

Arwen - Ug, she's not a character in the books, and barely a character in the films.

Sauron - You know, he's a great character in pre-third age related things. But he's used only as a dark menace here, so I feel, despite being the main antagonist, you don't get a full sense of him and he's not much of a character in LotR.

Okay, did I miss anyone? Despite there being a million characters in these books -- there really aren't that many characters that play an active role.

Okay today finally we saw the series finale of Moon Knight and i am going to post few of my fav moments from the Episode and talk about them, its gonna be a Long Post so be aware😭

I just really fucking adore and love how marc literally choose to die voluntarily and prefered it rather than to live w/o steve 😭 he knew he will die too but he went to the sands and he rejected the eternal peace that he always wanted but never could have

And then we have a very small monologue where he says this stuff

AND I FINALLY ENJOYED IT WHEN STEVEN WAS GIVING IT BACK TO KHONSHU AND BULLYING HIM

And Layla'S Costume is so bad-ass , sexy and cool af and that small convo the kid had with her made me so happy :D , i think i don't need to explain why

FINALLY THIS MF JAKE OVER SHADOWED THE ENTIRE EPISODE FOR ME 😭😭😭 THOSE SADISTIC EYES OMG OSCAR WAS NOT PLAYING AT ALL

Finally moon knight was so fucking great and it didn't even feel like a mcu show for first 3 - 4 episodes which was refreshing and UNIQUE on its own way , its breath of a fresh air and the makers were bold af with their directions and decisions and MCU DID NOT MISS , i was actually a little dissapointed when i heard Oscar's the lead but after seeing the show i think nobody could have played the role more perfectly than him, HE DESERVES ALL THE APPRECIATION AND AWARDS TOO THIS TIME and entire cast was great as well, i loved the show so much

The only 2 complaints i have with the show are

1. Marc Spector being a Jewish Guy has a lot to do with the character in the comics and mcu has totally parted ways with that story line , he is someone who faced oppression, hurdles and was on the verge of the death just because he was jewish and it is kind of a core of his character in comics and marvel completely ignoring it was not okay for me 🤷🏻‍♂️ They have chosen a new direction which was good but still

2. I WANTED TO SEE MORE VIOLENCE , MORE BLOOD AND MORE GUTS SPILLING ON THE SCREENS , THIS IS FUCKING MOON KNIGHT IDK HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE ME TO SEE STH LIKE THAT IN DISNEY'S MCU 😭

other than this i really loved every moment in the show and Moon Knight is a crazy ride and a Wonderful Experience

I’m seriously considering rereading A Winter’s Promise and The Missing of Clairdelune and pretending the series ended there. Ever since seeing people call the mirror visitor “two duologies instead of a quartet” it’s been stuck in my head because I can honestly see it. There was such a significant shift in tone, cast, plot and setting that they almost can be read as two separate duologies, and liking the first two books does not guarantee you’ll like the last two books.

If I didn’t love this series to begin with I wouldn’t be complaining this much. I know being this negative makes me look like a ‘fake fan’ but I truly adored this series and how it started, and I feel that I need to process the loss of it somehow.

I just want to go back to before Eulalia/echoes/pseudoscience took over the story. The quality of the series was genuinely so much higher when it was about our characters working together to try and survive the backstabbings and political conspiracies of the Pole😔 (which was a much more immersive and magical setting than Babel, which I liked the idea of at first. But by the end I felt that it didn’t measure up because it lacked the Alice in Wonderland charm and cutthroatness that the Pole had).

Having a better environment and better supporting cast kept the author’s writing grounded imo. Once we switched to Babel and lost most of the supporting cast everything became much less grounded. A lot of things got thrown up in the air and the author started pulling too many rabbits out of hats to compensate.

Idk, maybe not everything has to be a cliché saving the world narrative. This story worked at its best when it was just about survival, politics and the personal development of our characters and their relationships, rather than fighting the apocalypse and bending the fabric of the universe.

That’s why I think I have to reread the first two books. I want to leave off the series on a better note, and also relive the parts that made me fall in love with the series to begin with, like the slow unthawing of Thorn’s heart, and Ophelia befriending Fox, Gail, Berenilde and Archibald. And I still want to throw hands with Thorn’s grandma🤜👵🍊 (top 10 anime betrayals right there, she completely blindsided us all).

I loved reading about Ophelia going undercover as a servant, and dearly miss the humour of the early books. Remember when Ophelia forgot to bring a paddle onstage for the boat and she had to mime rowing instead, and everyone laughed at her? And Berenilde almost short-circuited from rage? All the while Thorn was staring Ophelia down from the audience like 👁👄👁💙 while she remained completely oblivious to his feelings.

• he will stay home and baby you and peek in your room every ten minutes like “hey are you ok???? do you need anything???”

• it’s kind of endearing

• the calls you keep getting from Seungcheol and Jihoon are not though because SOMEONE keeps forgetting to “call in sick” to work!!

• it’s just part of the whole shebang. he calms down eventually and gets over the anxiety of you getting even more hurt or struggling and goes back to the others

• but you bet your ass when he comes home at night you’re not going anywhere and he’s gonna baby you until he deems you all better

• also he definitely just likes babying you because he doesn’t declare you better until a week after the doctor does, “just to be safe!!!”

• he loves you very much and if anything we’re to happen to the love of his life he’d like. Evaporate on the spot

• 10/10 man right here

MINGYU

• ok so we know how clumsy this man is

• he technically knows how to take care of injuries

• also the injury was sort of maybe his fault ):

• he tripped over a damn rock and made you stumble too, falling and scraping up your leg

• and this poor man is apologizing faster than he raps

• you’re not badly hurt, and when the pain wears off you’re laughing

• and Mingyu’s all pouty lol

• and though you assure him that you’re ok and everyone trips up sometimes, he just wants to make it up to you

• he is also one of the other mfs who would make soup. him and Josh r gonna open a soup kitchen s2g

• but he’s also super cheesy and you wake up from a nap and see that Mingyu’s gone out and gotten flowers and made some nice food and made a little mini date in ur apartment

• and he just feels so bad !!!! please help this man

• once you joke that maybe you should get injured more often so you guys have more dates like this he finally really calms down

• but like I said, he’d know how to treat any injury

• maybe not well, and I’m sure this man’s instinctive response is “I will put a bandaid on it and move on with my life” but how focused he is when he is just wiping off dirt from your arm or leg or whatever and making you sit still while he gauzes it up is just really sweet he cares so much

MINGHAO

• this man does not know anything.

• I mean don’t get me wrong he’s incredibly smart and emotionally intelligent but also. there’s nothing in this man’s brain except for dastardly ideas

• and you nearly breaking your arm is not exactly a dastardly idea

• so he kinda just shuts down

• he wants to help !!! So bad !!!! but he can’t do anything !!!

“My Beloved!”

The prince’s voice made you flinch as it shook you from your nap. As good as you could, you heaved your giant head in the opposite direction from the door, pressing your snout to the cold stone wall. Its smell and temperature weren’t pleasant anymore, now that you were... well, whatever creature the witch had turned you into. Your heightened senses didn’t make it easier, now that you could smell every speck of mold and hear the scratching of tiny bug legs skittering through the stones.

The heavy, silver chains all over your body and limbs didn’t help either.

“We found a cure!” he claimed, his voice as sweet as honey, caring and hopeful, and yet so, so revolting since you knew the person behind it better than anyone else. It was easy to fool a kingdom with a sunny smile and encouraging speeches, but the one person he’d never trick again with his rotten personality was you.

Teeth clenched, you tried to ignore him, hoping he might be discouraged by seeing you unresponsive to his words. There had been too many potions, too many plants, he made you digest which were supposed to ‘help’ you, that you’d never want to even open your mouth anymore. You never even asked for his help; you just wanted him to leave you alone! When you hatched the plan of how to escape this fanatic, being recaptured by him and held in the dungeon, far away from anyone except the prince and the magicians he hired to ‘help’ you, wasn’t a part of it. You still blamed yourself that you hesitated to injure him worse than just breaking his arm when he found you. That you hesitated long enough for a bottled potion to hit you, bringing you down into a deep slumber and allowing them to bring you back to your personal hell that was the prince’s castle.

“My Beloved,” he repeated, this time in a tender whisper while he sank next to your disfigured body, a gentle hand coming down onto the fur of your front leg, caressing it comfortingly. “We’ve been wrong so many times...” he lamented, but you could hear the smile on his lips as he continued. “But finally, we know, and it’s no potion nor herb that will turn you back into a human.”

So what is it? you were inclined to ask, though you kept quiet. Just so you’d know what to avoid in the future.

“It’s a true love’s kiss,” he swooned, following it up with a deep sigh of longing. Your stomach churned as you heard his solution to your ‘problem’, but all you could muster was a haughty huff, thinking how you’d never love him. This wouldn’t work, you were already aware.

There was no way you could love the person that tore you from your family for his own amusement. Who humiliated you in front of other nobles so he could have some giggles, and yet, when you decided to run away from his maltreatment, chained you into his private room, sobbing into your lap of how he cannot live without you after keeping you there without food and water for days. What was real and what was fake about him was a thin line to discern, but you had been forced to stay long enough with the prince to not trust even one word of his. He’d try to suck up to you with presents and food, promising the world to you. And then, the moment you said you didn’t like what he did, he’d turn his back on this love he swore to harbor for you, punishing you and threatening to hurt your family too if you’d ever break his heart again.

It was then that you figured out he was lonely, but at the same time, you couldn’t help but be scared of his actions.

“You know there is no one else, no human nor monster, that adores you as much as I do. Thus, I will lift this curse from you, my Dearest! There isn’t anyone else who can do it. Right?”

Hearing his question made you not want to move your head in his direction all the more. But even with one hand, the prince knew where to touch for it to be uncomfortable. That damn spot under your throat made you flinch when you felt his fingertips drag over it, and you raised your head as far as the chain holding you down allowed. Growling at him didn’t concern the prince at all as he scooted closer, his hand falling to the side of your head, his face burying into the soft fur that covered all of your newly-obtained body.

Secretly, you wished that someone would come to save you from all this. Not particularly your new monstrous form, but rather, the prince and his doings. You wanted a real prince in shining armor to come and kiss you, whisk you away on his pretty, white steed. Never to be seen again. That would be your dream. This act and tragedy had been going on too long, and you feared that as it was, it would never end in a happy ending for you.

The prince kissed you between your eyes, observing if anything was happening for a few seconds before his lips proceeded down your snout. After every caress, he stopped, watching if anything changed. As you glanced briefly into his eyes, you saw the frustration grow. It would have been easier if it had worked - you had to admit - for both of you. Because every kiss more he had to watch fail, the more he grew unrestraint, his expression darkening and teeth clenching hard while his hand began to shake from frustration, or perhaps anger already.

“Why is it not working?” he asked as if he expected you to answer him. However, if it wasn’t a growl or whine, your vocal cords didn’t speak the same language anymore. Surely, there would have been a lot you would have told him if you could have opened your mouth and spoken. But this way, and much to your own surprise, he had to figure it out himself.

“Is it because you don’t love me?” he asked, fingers tangling into your fur harshly. “That’s what you said, right? That you don’t love me.”

A short, desperate laugh escaped him as he looked up and stared down at you with wide eyes. “It’s supposed to be a true love’s kiss, don’t you understand? Are you too stupid to even understand that? Do you want to stay like this, looking like a rotten mutt? Do you hate me so much?”

His questions were unanswered, even as he yanked hard at your fur, a stinging pain shooting through your face. “Answer me!” he demanded, screaming it into the void that was the dungeon where no one but you and him resided. “Ha... Hahaha...”

His laugh was muffled by his hand tearing away from you and instead clasping over his face, making him take a deep breath. “That’s okay. You’ll have a lot of time to learn to love me. Or you rot down here, it’s your decision.”

Standing up, the prince left you behind, a pitiful pile of meat and hair, chained to the ground by the most expensive chains he could buy from all the money he possessed. How much did it anger him, you wondered, that even though he had everything, he couldn’t have you?

“Don’t forget.” Glancing over his shoulder, the heavy doors slowly closed behind him. “You can be with me forever, or you can die here alone. No one mourns such a hideous creature when it’s gone. Only I can love you as you are now, but you lack choices. My darling Monster.”

With the prince disappearing together with the light of the torches, you were cast into the darkness reigning in your new home. Alone, pitiful, quiet. Restraint and captured as nothing more than the beast of a kingdom. It was the same darkness that never let you forget who and what you were.

Nothing. You were nothing without the prince who walked in the light while being the darkness himself.

A/N: Heyy honey :) Thank you so much for this request and sorry it took me so long, but it's that time of the semester and exams are being a pain in my 🍑. The first think she noticed waking up was the smell of pancakes, a small smile spreading in her lips. She could even smell the chocolate and the strawberries, her favorite toppings to accompany her pancakes with. She was surely dreaming. There was no way Thomas would ever be able to cook all that without setting the house on fire.

And when the aroma of freshly brewed coffee reached her nostrils she was convinced that all this was the perfect dream following the previous perfect night with her boyfriend. Yes, she had the time of her life and now her tired, mushy brain was dreaming of the ideal breakfast to top it all.

Just as she was turning side on the bed to continue her peaceful sleep, the odor of something burnt flooded the room, followed by some curses by none other than her beloved boyfriend Thomas.

Oh God. He had really tried to cook all this for her. And now she was smelling the consequences.

Getting up from the bed, she put on a shirt lying on the couch and entered the kitchen. There was standing Thomas, just in his boxers and an apron and he was throwing in the trash something that looked a lot like burnt pancakes mix. Still, she didn’t care for any of that. All she could focus on was her sexy boyfriend, who had his back turned on her and hadn’t noticed her yet. Approaching him slowly, she put her arms around his waist hugging him from behind. He was massive compared to her, yet that was one of his traits that she had grown to love the most. His arms were her safe house, his tall, lean figure her shelter; there she could hide from the world when everything got too much.

Smiling when he felt her hugging him, Thomas turned around putting his arms around her waist. Her Y/E/C eyes looking up at him so lovingly was one of his favorite sights in the whole world.

-Good morning, love. Did I wake you up? , he asked a little concerned.

He was trying to surprise her with breakfast in bed. Not only the breakfast was now in the trashcan, but had he also disturbed her sleep? He couldn’t help but feel a little guilty about it.

-No baby don’t worry about it, she smiled at him, pecking his lips and trying to ease his uneasiness. Actually, it was the delicious smell of your cooking that got me so intrigued that I left the bed.

-Um yeah about that…, he trailed off not knowing how to tell her that the much wanted pancakes hadn’t made it this far.

-It’s okay darling, I get what happened, she said laughing.

Ah yes, her laugh. Another sight Thomas held as close to his heart as possible. Her laugh never failed to brighten his day, and the crinkles by her eyes, even though for her they were a flaw, for him they were the most adorable trait of her face, alongside her dimples of course.

-I am sorry baby, he said casting his eyes downwards. I wanted everything to be perfect, just for you.

Still he avoided her eyes. Was he serious? They were pancakes for God’s sake, there were plenty of other things they could eat.

Looking at him then she realized. It was not the pancakes themselves the problem. He was disappointed in himself for not treating her the way he wanted. Oh God, he was adorable. He made her feel so loved, so valued that there was nothing that could fail him in her eyes.

Taking his face in her hands she made him look at her. His puppy eyes making him look cuter than ever.

-Thomas Raggi, you listen to me!, she said determined. When I am with you everything isperfect and don’t even try to doubt me, she cut him off before he could protest. You are the one who makes it perfect, not some stupid pancakes, and I love you so so much.

This time she sealed her words with a deep kiss. Combing her fingers through his hair she felt him relaxing and holding her tightly against him. Breaking the kiss for air and smiling down at her, his eyes were full of love and devotion.

-You gonna be the death of me, you know that right?, he smiled sheepishly at her.

-Hmm, not if you are going to be the death of me first, she clapped back laughing. C’mon lets get something to eat now, she said taking his large hand in her small one, leading him towards their fridge, winking at him.

Yes, they were perfect.
