I've always been curious to know this about the people around me. Most people have been in severe pain, but in my experience few have had what they would say is their 10/10 experience. I guess it's just something I find fascinating, as I had my 10/10 experience quite young and I sometimes forget that not everyone has. In my opinion it changes your relationship with pain and how you engage with it afterwards. If you answered yes, feel free to elaborate on your circumstances in the tags!

#I was 13 and mine was after spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis. New Jackie x Hyde fic alert

It's a work in progress but I wanted to share what I have so far:

It’s a miracle none of the neighbors have heard. Even if the houses in this neighborhood have enough space between them to house a football field, it seems that the occupants in this one are trying their hardest to overcome this… barrier. 

A vase teeters dangerously on the small side table in the foyer before a hand reaches out to steady it. The effort is futile however, as another accidental bump sends the vase careening to the floor where it shatters into a million tiny pieces.

“Hyde!”

Jackie’s breathy moans in his ear are replaced by an annoyed shriek as she pushes him away. They both turn to look at the evidence of their actions on the floor. 

“That was a Wedgewood,” she groans and covers her eyes. “My boss is gonna kill me.”

Hyde just smiles, pulling her hands away from her face and placing a quick kiss on her lips. “I’ll buy another one.”

“It costs almost a million dollars!” Jackie looks at him unimpressed.

“Like I said,” Hyde smirks. “I’ll buy another one.”

Jackie straightens down her dress and pulls the right strap back onto her shoulder. She huffs and walks towards the closet, presumably looking for a broom and dustpan. “Put your dick back in your pants.”

Hyde just laughs before doing as he’s told. “Or I’ll just buy the whole damn house! You are my real estate agent after all. You’re just doing your job and showing me around.”

He reaches for the broom in her hand. “I’ll say the vase wasn’t really my style. Which- ” He glances down at the shards. They’re an ugly brown color. “ - it really wasn’t.”
