a short, incomplete note on the duality of gemini - from a gemini sun and mercury. i have always been offended by gemini getting tagged with the "two-faced" and "hypocrite" stereotypes - not just because I am a gemini sun but because I know the gemini energy, with all its subtle nuances. and the stereotypes are a very lazy attempt at slapping certain keywords to gemini without going into the depths of its nature.

limitation of my reflection: i'm both the sun and the mercury, so i don't have clarity as to how each of these planets manifest when in gemini.

what do i feel about the dual nature of gemini? i would conceptualise this duality as being able to understand something from two polar opposite pov. i often be having conversations with myself inside my head - and question my own opinions/ ideas from the other end of the spectrum. i am the thesis as well as its antithesis. i am the Ego-self as well as the Other (add: my sun is conjunct my DSC. i read a post somewhere on here about the DSC being the Other. if my sun is my Ego-self, it sitting on my DSC seems to make it my Other too, or my Ego-self and its Other are one and the same)

anyway, as for the manifestation of the gemini energy in the real world based on my personal experience: I am able to simply just get it - on a mental level - when my friends or family are having a discussion, and one party has a thesis/ argument/ point/ opinion which is the opposite of another party's. and because i see sense in both, most often than not, i end up unable to take sides.

no, it's not an imperative to take sides. but multiple factors could play into it: not having a clear opinion on the subject (i'm plagued by this quite a lot), not wanting to favour one friend over another, not wanting to disrupt peace, wanting to be neutral.. there could be n number of reasons, and it doesn't have to do with being a gemini or a gemini mercury. it could apply to anyone at all.

what's gemini in this case is this: i am able to entertain multiple opposing viewpoints at the same time. give me a topic for debate, and i could debate myself. because i understand where both viewpoints are coming from.

extras: it takes A LOT of thinking, understanding, building of thought structures, breaking them down, rebuilding them, over and over again...to finally find an "opinion" of my own on a certain topic. until then, i shall be listening to you and nodding in agreement because i really agree with whatever you are saying, then go to another person and nod in agreement when they talk about the same topic from another angle. on the inside, in my mind, i'm collecting data, i'm accepting that the truth can be perceived from multiple different vantage points - and none of them are wrong. however, i am also slowly building my own viewpoint too.. but until it solidifies, i'm keeping my mind open and staying receptive.

ps. not speaking for other geminis though. hence used the pronoun "I" instead of "we". everyone has their own unique experience - placement of other planets matter, life/past experiences matter, the culture we grew up in matter.

Stop stressing over that one bad grade you received at school. In ten years, you won’t even remember what teacher gave it to you. Focus your energy on things that’ll have lasting impacts. When you look back on your life, you want to see the beauty of it, not the anguish.

3. Growth isn’t linear

Don’t blame yourself for messing up. We aren’t perfect and we are bound to mess up every once in a while. Learn from your mistakes, and try to not repeat them. And if you do, that’s okay, there’s always another time. Growth has no time limit.

4. You are not a bad person

If you are sitting here constantly asking yourself if you are a bad person or underserving of love, I’m here to tell you one thing: bad people don’t worry about whether they are perceived as “good” or “bad”. Give yourself grace, and stop letting your overthinking consume you.

What The Ones Who Live has made abundantly clear is that finding Rick and bringing him home was a mission fit for Michonne, and Michonne alone. Because Rick didn’t just need to be brought back home - he needed to be brought back to life.

Sure, other characters could have located him and tried to rescue him from the CRM, but Rick needed more than a rescue…he was in need of a resurrection. And there’s only one person on the planet capable of doing that for him and it’s his wife, the love of his life, Michonne Grimes.

Rick is a man who for all intents and purposes chose to die because he couldn’t see her face anymore and started to believe he never would again. He was only ever going to come alive again when her eyes, her presence, her heart was back in his life. He was only ever going to be free from not just the literal but mental shackles of the CRM when he could hold her in his arms again and reconnect with the woman whose heartbeat he shares.

I love how this story stayed consistent to the message that was true in the main show as well, and that’s that Rick needs Michonne. And Michonne needs him too. Rick’s relationship with Michonne is the one dynamic in his life where he’s poured into as equally and deeply and lovingly as he pours into her. Where he doesn’t have to be anything but himself. It’s the one relationship that can bring him back time and time again no matter the circumstances.

Richonne is a love supreme because they are two halves of one heart. So saving him - not just in body but in heart, mind, and soul - it could only ever have been her. 😌

Kaeya had always been an efficient and hard-working individual (he had to be to support Diluc in the background as his brother rose thru the ranks after all).

He has so much free time because he completes all his work way ahead of schedule. And if he still has enough time, he adds more to the workload in secret.

And once all of that was done and over with, he makes time for everyone. He has to. He feels as if every moment has to be given to someone else.

No one knows how he does it. No one has to know.

Every mission has a dozen strategies in line, and every battle plan is made with efficiency in mind. His perfect record will not be tarnished. He can't risk it (even if it baffles others that he would willingly activate a ruin guard just to prevent a failed mission. Jean disagrees with his methods, but Kaeya can say that the results say otherwise)

He needs to be quick.

Efficient.

Perfect.

And so he comes and goes like the wind.

Kaeya values time because he knew every second counted. He can't just stand there as if he were frozen. Time could run out in an instant.

Kaeya had only been late once his entire life.

He'd rather he never be late ever again.

It took one day of being of being imperfect for everything to fall apart. On that tragic day...had he gotten there on time... then maybe...

Kaeya snorts, but acquiesces, hiding the shaking of his hands at the thought of being idle.

He imagines hearing a clock ticking.

Kaeya knows that that is his own problem. He tries his hardest to relax as he waits for the traveler to finish whatever they're making on the alchemy table because, seriously, it is supposed to be a relaxing day. There's nothing major going on, and his schedule is once again empty as intended. What's the hurry?

Kaeya taps his foot on the ground as he waits. He wishes he could take his own damn advice when he tells others to relax.
